Second Anniversary Special

As many of the long-time followers of this blog know, I originally started out on the classic literature side of tumblr, which is what lead to my venturing into bsd. As an homage to my roots as a classic lit enthusiast, I’ll be going through all the works that I’ve read written by bsd authors:

The Spider’s Thread by Akutagawa

This short story is brought up in a lot of animes, which is unfortunately the most likely way western bsd fans. I could make an entire separate post of commentary on how the American school system doesn’t cover most foreign literature (outside of English [as in from England] and French works), and that is an absolute travesty. However, that’s not what we’re covering right now. 

Anyway. The Spider’s Thread is a very short story—like two pages at most. You can go read it now. For all the other entries I plan on rating the novels out of 5, but this one’s truly too short to rate. If you wanna read it you can find a hundred pdfs online. The same probably goes for most works of classic literature, so. Go wild enjoy the wonderful world of free online pdfs.

The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe

I was probably assigned other works by Poe, but this one is most likely his most famous short story. I was assigned it in middle school/high school/ and at least twice in college. Again, very short short story—you can read it in a few minutes tops. 

5/5 for the sole reason of it aligning with my personal sense of humor. I get that it’s not supposed to be funny, but unreliable narrators are and will always be hilarious to me. I love a guy insisting that he’s not crazy while he’s off murdering a guy. Cask of Amontillado-core protagonist. Funny because E.A. Poe also wrote Cask of Amantillado. I’m out here starting to suspect that E.A. Poe just really loved writing his unnamed unreliable narrator protagonists.

Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

I’ve never read Tom Sawyer, but in 11th grade my class read Huckleberry Finn. 3/5 because I don’t like the way it was taught in class, but I did enjoy analyzing it more than some other books we did. 

Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky

Currently reading it so I can’t give much feedback, but so far I’d like this guy (Raskolnikov not Dostoyevsky) to meet Meursault from The Stranger. If anyone’s made this crossover, please send it to me. And if not and you wanna go make it yourself—please I’ll love you forever.

Dracula by Bram Stoker 

I mean we’ve all done Dracula Daily. Or at least I’ll assume you’ve heard of it. 5/5, Mina’s best girl, Quincey’s best boy, I have very basic opinions but I’m standing by them.

Meursault the prison is clearly named after Meursault, the fictional character who famously goes to prison, right. We’re all on the same page about this, right? 

Anyway if you’ve never heard of or read the stranger, [spoilers] it’s about this guy who kills a guy for no reason (“it was just so hot outside, idk what happened but now there’s a dead guy, this is a good enough criminal defense right? You’re not gonna send me to jail for just this one little mistake---oh you’re giving me the death penalty? Ah. I see.”) Solid 4/5—points deducted for being a little slow by some parts (although I can’t vouch for how it is in the original French, this was only my impression from the English translation I read)

After making this list, it’s clear that I haven’t read too many books my bsd authors, so next years my anniversary special will be more about the classic literature I have read. I do plan to keep posting until then. So please enjoy another year of the anti-dazai blog!!

1. my wife doesn’t have a tumblr, but her suggestion interested me and can be seen in the first two screenshots(the translation sounds like: “after the release of “red hour” I have an assumption that andrey is more... athletic than misha. either this is because of ferry’s drawing style, or he really has such wide shoulders")so now we are interested to know about the physique of your characters!! maybe some of them are thin, or vice versa, a little overweight. and what about physical training? did you have any headcanons for this??? ( by the way, when I ask about “characters” I mean not only misha and andrey, but also europe and maya, because they are also worthy of attention <зз) 

2. what about the abbreviation "dyusha" for andrey? in russian it is... not used very often, but still, it sounds very cute. so it would be interesting to know how you would feel about this? 3. I also want to hear about the names of the characters!! how did you choose them? I mean........ how did it happen that from ☺europa☺ you switched to 👹MiKhAiL👹?? (I'M SO SORRY, BUT MISHA'S FULL NAME SOUNDS SOMETHING THREATENING. MY UNCLE'S DOG HAS THE SAME NAME EHE- *ᕕ(ಥ▽ಥ)ᕗ*) 

4. and lastly, let's return to my wife for another moment. she suggested that andrey was now also in a time loop. what do you say about that? and also in enigma, she noticed that misha seemed to be addressing the second person in the lines: "and if you wanted to be anything more than just free" and "you’ve seen a hundred lies I see that all the time". is this second person a viewer? or maybe one of the previously mentioned characters??

im just fine with lotes of questions :) answering asks and responding to comments is one of my favorite things ever and i brings a verry big smile to my face

on andrei: i consider him to be a skinny little gut but not exactly unathletic, and in addition i think he would have basic combat training and probably be good with firearms. misha is probably a very average bodytype, nothing special, not particularly athletic.

i do not speak russian (though ferry has recently encouraged me to learn so maybe in like four years ill be able to form a sentence) so i dont know anything about the short forms so you can do whatever you want. if you coin it and peoples tart calling him that i will not stop it from happening

i do not name my characters, i usually let me friends name them (i think that the only one i named was europa and his partner). going forward maybe ill try to make it more cohesive

the time loop idea im seeing thrown around alot is really cool and while i havent particularly wrote any of my songs about that in general i see it fitting into the loose narrative i have going on. also in enigma misha is definitely talking to andrei whenever he says the word "you" but it could also be to the listener because the entire theme of enigma is 4th wall breaking and meta shenanigans like that

hi everyone! little bit of an update!!

to those of you waiting for the next part in the store shifter au: it’s almost done, i swear.

the rest of this is a lengthy explanation cause y’all know me, i can’t write something short. tldr will be bolded at the bottom if you don’t wanna read all this.

i wanna explain something real quick: in my early years of middle school, i was into creepypasta, which pipelined into Marble Hornets, which pipelined into a ton of other slenderverse series. If you don’t know what that is, it’s an ARG with an emphasis on characters being stalked or hunted by Slenderman. All of them are really really good in their own way and do interesting things with not only Slendy, but adding their own new big bad’s and lore and i’d highly recommend watching one if you haven’t yet. (i may make a separate post about which you should watch based on what kind of content you most enjoy cause i really want to indoctrinate more people into this)

My favorite slenderverse at the time had a very big emphasis on early November, specifically November 11th. So i started to have a little tradition of watching those videos every November 11th even after the hyperfixation had faded just for a bit of nostalgia.

Fast forward to now- it has snowballed to the point where every year for over half a decade now, November 11th rolls around and I am thrown violently headfirst back into my slenderverse phase. I cannot control it. I’ll be like “ok this year i’ll be normal about it, after this long, surely watching one video won’t spiral me again” and it always fucking does. No other hyperfixation i’ve ever had has functioned on a calendar cycle so idk wtf this is. This is the 6th year of this. I cannot escape.

So yeah, per how it’s been since middle school, November-January my main hyperfixation will be slenderverse. It could be shorter, it could be longer, but that’s the general pattern i’ve noticed over the years. After that i’ll pretty much be back to normal.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m not taking a 3 month hiatus or anything. I promise i will do my best to get the store shifter au part out before fucking 2024. But if you’ve sent me an ask recently and i’ve ignored it, i’m genuinely so sorry, but i can’t force myself to work on new stuff right now when mcyt g/t isn’t my main interest. I’ll do my best to get to it eventually when the hyperfixation comes back a bit more, i do read and process and think about every single ask i receive and it always makes my day when i get a new ask, but yeah. For the next few months i’m probably only gonna be working on and posting stuff that’s been in the works, are from asks that we’re given to me like a year ago and already have wips in progress to answer them, or art that i just haven’t given you yet.

on the other hand, if you’re reading this and you like creepypasta or slenderverse stuff, i’ve created what i think is literally my 5th fucking blog! @cynningly <-i’ve been spamming this for like 4 days cause i refuse to be normal about slenderverse stuff, but follow there if you want horror stuff and so far just a bunch of really shitty edits of internet arg sexyman villains. my hyperfixations switched up again, im really into slenderverse (slenderman-centric args) at the moment and likely will be till January. This is a cycle that’s been going on for years now. made an alt for it -> @cynningly

Hinata: Thankies! Huh, what’re all these doing in here? I only requested an outfit for myself, but there's one, two, three… A whole buncha them in here?

Tetora: Ahaha, apparently he got really into it and made way too much.

‘Cuz Taisho’s brakes just stop working the moment he gets absorbed into sewing.

Taichou is a title that refers to the leader (sometimes translated as Captain). It literally means “Commander”.

Hello everybody, didn’t think I would actually post a new review this soon since I haven’t bought any new snacks or food to try. However, yesterday I thought to myself, “Hey… wait, I bought this carbonara flavored toppoki but didn’t eat it.” So I rummaged around the tote bags and yes, there it was. I was particularly curious about this one since I first saw it at the Korean food stall—I love carbonara. It was another of my safe foods back when I lived in my apartment; I would make myself “fake carbonara” at least 1 or 2 times a week.

If there’s anything you need to know before trying this, it’s that you maybe want to boil the tteok (rice cake) separately for at least 1–2 minutes so it’s more chewy. You can later proceed to drain the water and follow the instructions (this is just my personal advice—if you want to follow the instructions to the letter, go ahead). There’s not much else I can add about this, other than the price (in my country, from a single Google search) can dangle between 8–10 USD. I got this for 10 USD, and it’s apparently cheaper in the global north and Asia—probably because of importation costs. So if you live around those lanes, it should be around 3–4 USD.

The relevant info: How to prepare and nutritional value.

The container contains two packs: one with the base sauce as a powder and a transparent one with the rice cakes and a preservative. Be careful not to eat the preservative, because I almost did. It’s also easy to miss—today when I was preparing it, I accidentally threw the preservative into the boiling water with the rice cake, so I hope I didn’t get some sort of poisoning from it.

Okay, so for my review: YPFoods Yopokki Carbonara Topokki definitely lives up to my expectations once again. YPFoods is probably one of my favorite instant food brands (expect lots of unpaid shilling from me in that aspect). There’s nothing wrong with the flavor—it does taste like carbonara sauce without the bacon (fake carbonara enjoyer here), and if you’re familiar with topokki, you’d know that most of the sauces are spicy—like REAL SPICY—or mild. But this one is not spicy at all, so if you don’t tolerate spice but want to try Korean rice cake, this could be your first go-to choice! Here's what it looked like after I prepared it:

Now, here’s the problematic part: the pricing. If you are from Argentina, I’d say try this as a luxury every now and then, since it’s technically a snack (actually, I'm sure you should eat it with something else like you would on a Korean BBQ, but I usually eat it on its own as a snack or before a light meal). You can get more fulfilling instant meals at that price—like, hell, you can get two of my favorite ramens for that price easily. If you are from any other part of the world and can afford a $3–4 snack, then yeah, go for it! Here in Argentina, imported Korean products are ridiculously overpriced since they’re all imported and not licensed in the country—also we are geologically on the other side of the world, so we get the maximum importation cost possible.

I was debating if I should implement a Bombo Stars rating system based on separate aspects of the food (flavor, texture, pricing, etc.), but nah—I think I’m gonna go for aggregated values instead, meaning that everything counts in the rating. Doing it otherwise would make it more complicated, especially if I start reviewing restaurant food. So, going back to rating: yes, I love the flavor, I love YPFoods’ products—but the importation prices are insane so that’s gonna cost it 1 star. Final verdict: 3 and a half bombo stars out of 5. (⭐⭐⭐½ )

10, 11, 28, 29 for the ao3 asks!

Thank you for the ask!! As some of you may know, I’ve had quite the unproductive year for writing this year, so to give myself a bit more to work with, I’m gonna include the back half of 2023 as well, otherwise I’ll have 5 fics to work with, 4 of them being very short haha!

Also, worth noting, for whatever reason tumblr is not letting me link to ao3? Everything I discuss should be on my ao3 masterlist (aside from like- one fic because it’s in its own separate fandom and I haven’t made a post for it yet) and the links on there are working just fine, so if you’re interested, consider going there to check out any fics I mention! (Or any others I didn’t mention, there’s a lot there hehe!)

With all that out of the way, time for the ask!

10: What work was the quickest to write?

Probably one of the four short fics I did for Pins and Patches week back in April of this year! I’d say the first one (New Feelings) was when I had the most steam, so that was probably the quickest. However, they all took me around a day or less to write, so it’s hard to say for sure.

I like to think of Michael and Jake as the fell first/fell harder type, although I’m more of a Jake fell first guy now, it’s just significantly easier for me to write from Michael’s POV lmao.

11: What work took you the longest to write?

The one that took the longest this year was my most recent fic, which is called Dirty Little Secret. This one is the only one I don’t have a link to on my blog, but if you look in the Good Game (TV 2017) Fandom tag it’s currently at the top, so you can’t miss it. If we’re including all previous drafts for this idea it took me at least six months to write, which is actually longer than I thought. I was originally going to include a fic from 2023 as well, but this would still be the longest, so I’ll just leave it at that.

28: Favorite work you wrote this year?

For this one, I’m going to do a fic from 2023 actually, because this fic is still one of my favorites in general to date. This fic being Someone Said You Had Your Tattoo Removed, which I wrote two days before 2024!

From start to finish, every step of this fic was a joy. I loved coming up with the idea, I loved kind of teasing it, I loved exploring the SQUIP and how it treated Jeremy, as well as Michael and Jeremy’s relationship. I loved poking at their friendship and how although they’re okay now it still hurts to look back on the past. And I love rereading it. I think I found their voices really well in this one and I like how I captured their dynamic, and although it’s not silly like some of my other BMC fics, it holds a special place in my heart.

29: Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Using the same fic as the last question for this one. Despite the bummer themes in the last fic, this part is written to be a bit comedic before it gets into the nitty gritty, and I think out of the entire fic, this captures their friendship the best. I had fun writing it out, so here it is for you!

“Hey, man! Glad you could make it.” Michael had a smile on his face, but it fell once he got a good look at Jeremy’s, “Whoa… are you good? You’re like- super tense.”

Shit.

“I’m not tense!” Jeremy’s voice raised an octave and a half, and he quickly overcorrected, clearing his throat and starting again, “I’m- I mean, I’m good. I’m good. Can we go inside?”

Judging by the look on Michael’s face, his performance wasn’t very convincing. He wasn’t off to a very good start, considering he’d hoped to bring this up after they’d gotten settled. Now Michael was looking at him like he was a scared animal, and he was trying to keep him from running off.

However, he got a hesitant nod anyway, and the door opened further so he could walk inside.

As he kicked off his shoes, Michael spoke up, voice a bit quieter and hesitant now, “Jeremy, you’re kinda scaring me. What’s wrong?”

Fuck, this was a bad place for this conversation. He could see Michael’s mom out of the corner of his eye on the phone with someone, and he wanted some distance in case this conversation went really badly.

“Can we talk downstairs?” Jeremy asked, which definitely didn’t help in the scaring Michael category. He got a nod though, and they silently walked down the stairs to the basement while Jeremy thought about exactly how he was going to word this.

He probably looked like he was about to throw up.

As soon as they got situated downstairs, Michael was looking at him very seriously, “Okay, seriously. What’s going on?”

6. Work I’m most proud of (and why):

I feel like I have to answer In the midst of a storm. Writing this fic was extremely frustrating at times because I had this amazing picture of it in my head but I felt like I could never do it justice due to lack of time, energy, and stability. I pushed myself through it and managed to finish it, though, and honestly some comments I got on it made me look at it in a much more positive light! Hopefully I’ll be able to read it back one day without cringing too much lol

7. Work I’m least proud of (and why):

Probably As long as you’re not afraid to feel. Not that I think it’s bad or anything, but I feel like you can tell by reading it that I wasn’t really into it. It’s one of these fics whose idea I came up with early on, but only started working on it months afterwards due to other commitments, and by then I’d kind of lost my initial interest in it :/ I do think it’s a pretty fun one, but it could have been much better if I’d worked on it as soon as I started brainstorming it

8. Share or describe a favorite review you received:

As I said, some of the reviews on In the midst of a storm really warmed my heart and kinda made me change my opinion on it! Shoutout to @lululawrence‘s lovely comments especially 😊

9. A time when writing was really, really hard:

Ugh, the entire year until September, basically. 2022 has been a very stessful year for me, and despite wanting to make writing a priority, it definitely felt like I’d lost my mojo at times. I only started to pull myself out of it once I 1. moved back to Canada and 2. got into the Dream fandom - I probably just needed a change after 3 years of focusing exclusively on 1d, I guess

10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: 

I wrote a few smut-adjacent scenes for It the midst of a storm that did surprise me, or at least were a new experience for me lol

11. A favorite excerpt of your writing:

From Running From The Sun

 “I don’t. I don’t want you,” Niall protests, but it sounds half-hearted at best. Louis almost has her in a chokehold now, and it’s time for her to land the final blow.

 “Yes, you do. You think I haven’t seen the way you were looking at me earlier, while you were dancing with that guy? You think I can’t hear your heart beat faster whenever I get a little too close?” She punctuates her words by taking the last step that separates her and Niall, and now she’s got the slayer right in front of her again. Right where she wants her. “Hell, you think I don’t notice the blood rushing to your cheeks right now?” she adds in a mere whisper. “You think-”

 “Shut up,” Niall hisses out. Louis can see her swallow, and she knows she’s got her now.

 “Make me,” she dares her.

12. How did you grow as a writer this year: 

It’s probably gonna sound dramatic but, for the major part of the year, I’ve felt like I was regressing as a writer. I’d constantly be second-guessing everything I wrote down, including stuff that I never had a problem with before (like dialogues). It’s been pretty exhausting, but in the end I guess it did make me grow, in that it made me more aware of my strengths and weaknesses.

A more practical answer would be that I wrote for new pairings and fandoms, and as mentioned before I even wrote some more explicit scenes, which is something I never thought I’d be able to do, much less to share 😳

13. How do you hope to grow next year:

Continue posting for the Dream fandom. I’m currently working on a longer fic for it that I’m really excited about!

Otherwise I’d like to get back into writing everyday, and like Jinny said, try to edit less while writing even though that habit is so ingrained in me that it might prove to be difficult.

14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): 

Oh god... My introvert tendencies came back in full force this year, and I ended up taking a big step away from the 1d writing community, unfortunately. Maybe that’s something that I’ll try to change next year too, because I do miss these interactions!

I do want to thank @zou-i-am, though - we had a great time running the Lilo Fest together! Thanks so much to @uhoh-but-yeah-alright too for betaing my Zarry fic :) And of course, much love to Sof if they see this <3

Finally, maaaaany thanks to @allwaswell16 for all the work she puts in to post fic recs and leave thoughtful comments! You’re a legend :))

15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:

Weirdly enough, I wanna say it’s the opposite. In both New York Kiss and In the midst of a storm, Zayn works a retail job, and that’s something I ended up doing for the first time over the summer. Life imitating art and all that 😌

16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

Who am I to impart wisdom? lol I guess just... don’t give up. If you’re feeling like you’re losing your inspiration, give yourself some time and/or try something else (like a new pairing or something). Follow whatever excites you in a given moment, even if it means putting other projects on hold.

17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:

I’m excited to keep writing my current Dreamnotfound fic. Also looking forward to running the Zouis Fest again, and to starting writing my fic for it (even though I have no clue what it’ll be yet)

will you continue with the blog when neymessi separates or will you change the theme?

Oof what a loaded question lol. Tbh I’ve met so many amazing people through here, and I honestly really like (soccer/football) now outside of just neymessi, that I find it really hard that I would stop the blog. Maybe there’s a chance I would be a bit less active on it, but definitely not gotten rid of altogether.

The theme might change a little bit, because I’ll probably watch whatever team Leo plays for and Ney separately and then post about them. And I’m kinda interested in other teams so there’s a potential for it to be multi fandom. But even then I feel like it would still be mainly centered on Neymar and Leo. So like multi fandom but majority of it would still be Leo and Neymar. Idk. I think it also depends on what other mutuals I make in the coming months 🤷‍♀️

But that’s not to say that there won’t be future neymessi stuff popping up if they don’t play for the same club anymore! For instance:

1) well this is a bad example LOL but if they play on the same team then duh I’m in and I’m gonna post them for the next couple years I have with them

2) they could play in the same league and then we get 2 matches of them (maybe if they live in close enough cities they could ac hang out or something and post it??? idk that’s wishful thinking lol)

3) potential CL playing against each other

4) Copa America!!

5) idk maybe they’ll be cute bfs and go visit each other or something 🙄🙄

But honestly this is a very good question and one that I guess I’ll figure out later on?? It’s hard since PSG’s season is over about a month earlier than other leagues, so that gives a few months of time where nothing is going on (unless there are friendlies or things like that) in the soccer/football world.

I feel like I expect this blog to go in a direction that is still centered on Neymar and Leo, but maybe more so individual than collective if they’re separated?? (simply because I have no idea when I’ll run out of photos/clips of them together). As long as I have stuff in my camera roll (even if that’s legit months from now lol) then I’ll still post them. I didn’t do all this investigating for nothing 🙄🙄

But if I ever do find a neymessi moment after I think I’ve found all there is of them, best believe I’ll post it.

I've had this ask sitting in my drafts for AGES because I didn't want to accidentally forget something, but now I'm just gonna post it.

I’m assuming you mean BL genre j-dramas, so here are a few movies and dramas that I’ve enjoyed aside from Utsukare. Keep in mind that some of them are quite old 😭 Let me know if you wanted recs for other genres of j-drama. These days most people seem to be watching k-dramas, but Japan has some really great shows too!

I’m also not sure my taste is to everyone’s liking, but I suppose that’s true for everyone. This list isn't very long, because save a few, Japan recently mostly produces BL that stick to the anime-like genres and I rarely really enjoy those (I’m too old and bitter) as much as the more realistic stories. If you want to know my favorite shows I can make a separate post one day!!!

Anyways, in chronological order, here are my recs:

- Like Grains of Sand

It’s a movie from 1995 about a boy who is attracted to a classmate of the same sex. The pace of the movie is quite slow and it has some unpleasant scenes, but it is made by a director who very much took it upon him to portray an accurate experience of what LGBT youth in Japan experienced at the time. I’m not sure it’s everyone’s cup of tea, but if you're interested in more "real" Japanese movies and biographical pieces, you can watch it here!

(bonus info: the quite famous singer Hamasaki Ayumi stars in this movie as well)

- Itsuka no Kimi He

A movie with a twist about Noboru, who saves Kohei from drowning. That's all I'm gonna say! I liked this one upon watching ages ago (it’s a 2007 movie, enjoy the hair of that era lol).

- His: Koisuru Tsumori Nante Nakatta & His: The Movie

The drama is like a prequel to the movie about Shun, who is on vacation where his father lives by the seaside, and there he meets the boy Nagisa. The movie is about them as adults. The drama is probably my favorite on this little list of mine.

I liked this one a lot, in particular the drama series as the acting is great. I especially enjoyed Kura Yuki's acting and skill for delivering powerful lines very naturally (his last line in episode 4 is *chef's kiss*). I'm very excited to see him in the upcoming show "Kimi no koto dake miteitai" (I want to be looking only at you), even if the trailer tells me absolutely nothing about what the show is actually about, lol.

- Old Fashion Cupcake

The new series on Viki also seems very promising; acting is nice and the dialogue is well-written and feels natural. At the time I'm writing this there's only 2 episodes available of the planned 5, though, so I guess I'll just hope it keeps up the current quality.

It's about 39-year old Nozue, who's apparently complacent in a very mediocre life, and 29-year old Togawa, who wants Nozue to aim for all the things he is capable of. They start going to cafes together as a "anti-aging cure" for Nozue. Watch it here!

Hey there! Aww, thank you so much. This is absolutely lovely and I truly do appreciate it. (I wanted to answer you separately since you made that excellent mention of Staged season 3, episode 4. Haha.)

As I’ve previously mentioned, my analysis is still forthcoming (and I apologize for the delay...just been a bit swamped the past week or so), but I did think that was an interesting moment, too.

As much as I wasn’t necessarily a fan of Georgia sabotaging the conference room or going through all that just to create tension between Michael and David (who already have mountains and mountains of tension and longing between them as it is), the underlying premise of the scene was intriguing to me. Mainly because it (like several other moments in Staged 3) seemed to come right out of the plot of an MS/DT Staged fanfic I read back during the second season: Georgia quite perceptively knowing what David wants/needs from Michael (in the case of the fic, being deliciously, roughly topped) and engineering it flawlessly.

The other thing about that scene was that all the dialogue was up against a backdrop of some serious throuple vibes between Michael/David/Georgia. Throughout the season and that especially that scene, the energy between them just had a certain edge to it, so when Georgia said “People just like to watch you tussle” it became even more interesting when I realized that another definition of the word “tussle” is “a physical contest.” Maybe, then, Georgia wasn’t just referring to Michael and David verbally sparring/fighting, but something else entirely.

(For me personally, all of the fighting Michael and David did in the show felt like the kind of fighting between two people that crescendos into/ends with a kiss, so I do wonder if that’s what Simon was subtly (or not-so-subtly) hinting at. Curiouser and curiouser...)

So yes, I would say that Georgia (Staged!Georgia, and/or actual Georgia) and probably Simon are aware of what the fans want to see Michael and David do, and found an interesting way to incorporate that into the show. And as I said, I think this was done in a couple of places, so I’m looking forward to discussing that further in my review/analysis of Staged 3. Thanks for writing in! x

They aren’t perfect, but I finally made the boys for The Sims 4, to go with Hutch’s house (I haven’t built Starsky’s place yet so he’s living there too for the time being lol). A few others have done it already but I’m really not wanting get too realistic because then Sims look super out of place and it’s not my style.
