I love the trials of Heracles being incorporated into his design (now it’s making me think about how those stories may have played out in the sci-fi settting).

I also really like Daedalus’ shell.

I don’t know much about different Ancient greek clothing styles but I love your inclusion of stuff like the chlamys.

Some notes:

I wanted the designs to not be fully human but was having a lot of trouble thinking how to implement that. With no animals in the city, could it be that the people became them? In the end it felt too much to balance, especially with all the augmentation. Let’s choose to believe that even though they look human, there’s actually something horribly alien about them that is simply not visible in these designs.

Music inspo: since blues feature heavily in this album, I figured the 1920s would be perfect. The film noir vibes also worked with this, seeing as the 20s marked a significant transition from silent film into “talkies”. Unfortunately this is an album with one female character and a lot of the iconic 20s fashion is female oriented. Hopefully I managed to make it recognizable even so.

The fashion style is meant to be a mix of 700 bce (Greek Mythology) and 1920s (film noir theme).

love scout was ALSO revolutionary! the way it showed mature adults in a mature romance was so fresh and unique. no miscommunication, no misunderstandings, mutual respect and trust.

i think this is what relationships should aim to be. even though yoo eunho had a child and was divorced, so what? it doesn't make him a poorer candidate at dating/marriage, and it doesn't define who he is as a person. and kang jiyun standing up for him to her bestie further cements the importance of seeing people as who they are as a person.

jiyun having gone through so much trauma also doesn't make her a lesser human being. the show presents her in a way that despite all of her pain, she's gotten to where she is because of her capabilities. yes, she had help from junghoon's father, but only she could grow Peoplez the way it did.

the show also tells us that It's Okay to seek help and comfort and move on from your pain. eunho gave jiyun the space she needed to heal her wounds without interfering or meddling with the process. in return, jiyun only went to eunho when she felt Okay and ready to face him.

i just think that the writer wrote a beautiful show with multiple beautiful messages, and it really resonated with the audience. because we want to see mature, healthy relationships, where people aren't afraid to love and be loved.
