(uh yeah I'm back if you even noticed I was gone lol. I might just post this and disappear again for a little longer idk but anyways I'll explain the reason whenever I'm back for good; I'm okay don't worry, and I'm still gonna post fics don't worry it's nothing too serious fr)
Tumblr media
It causes a disruption when you both barge into the hangar; despite the constant clattering and whirring of tools and material there, both your bitter shoutings have been overlapping the sounds ever since Poe started following you closely, right from the moment you hastily jumped out of your x wing to try to forget about the awful management of your mission that would probably cost you to never get to lead one again.
“It was my call, not yours” you affirm bitterly, voice dripping with resentment, your steps heavy and hurried as you try to shake Poe off but he is anything if not persevering, so it only manages to piss you off even more and fuel your frustration. “I didn’t need you to save my mission or whatever,” you exclaim, causing heads to turn as you walk across the large room, barely minding what is going on around you.
“I did because I knew it would work!” Poe tries to explain, still heeling you closely. “I wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t sure it would be successful” he declares louder than he needs to, thrown off when you suddenly stop in your steps, turning to him.
“So you think you can make decisions for me? You think I can’t do it, can’t command a mission correctly?” you rhetorically ask, revolted, sighing a profanity under your breath before you storm off again, your steps resonating with frustration. Poe sighs and winces before he follows you again, taking a hold of your arm.
“Babe come on you know that’s not–”
You stop again, your patience running short. “You had no right to encroach on my orders, I knew what I had to do, and you stepping in with your own instructions could have blown the whole mission up!” you call out, pressing a finger to his chest.
It’s when you finally take a moment to take a look at his face that you realize it, what is going on; you are being the center of attention, the little show everyone stopped their current task to sit and watch, your every word carefully awaited by your unwanted audience.
You sigh softly, taking a moment to step back from the situation. “Now leave me alone before we embarrass ourselves further or before I tell you things I don’t really mean just because I’m angry and don’t wanna talk to you” you hiss softly before leaving Poe in the middle of the busy room where he watches you walk away, helplessly standing there.
When he looks around him, most people turn away and avert their gazes to pretend they haven’t witnessed anything, and Poe is well too aware of the tension still lingering in the air even as you exit the room.
When Jessika climbs down from her ladder after watching the scene from her cockpit, BB-8 rolls over to her and chirps sadly, having observed yours and Poe’s argument from afar just like most of the hangar after his master went running after you. She kneels down to the droid’s level, giving him a sympathetic smile.
“That’s gonna be fine Beebs, they always end up figuring it out somehow” she affirms as the droid’s upper part sinks in distress accompanied by saddened beeps. Jessika can’t help but smile fondly at him and his obvious concern, at the fact that he quite literally acts like you are his parents.
A few hours have passed when Poe joins you again; you don't notice him at first, having made sure to get focused enough on your paperwork to forget about the whole situation and try to ease the frustration within you. It's only when you put your datapad down that you see him leaning against the door frame.
“You're so pretty when you're focused” he smiles gently when your eyes meet his figure, causing you to roll your eyes and reluctantly smile at his words despite your lingering frustration.
“I’m still mad at you,” you sigh softly as you try to hide your slight smirk, gaze darting back down to enter numbers into your datapad.
He acknowledges your feelings with a nod, his lips pressed together in a tight line. “I know.” he admits, stepping into the room. “That’s why I’m here” You look back up at him, taking a deep breath as you set your datapad aside; despite the fact that everything he did since you wrapped your mission up got on your nerves, deep down you only wish for this to situation to get figured out and eventually be behind the both of you. You join him in front of your desk, leaning against it.
“I knew what I was doing. I was handling it” you affirm before he even gets the chance to do so much as open his mouth.
He holds a hand up to slow you down. “I know,” he nods understandingly. “I shouldn’t have redirected the plan, I should have trusted you. I was just afraid things would go wrong considering how it was all starting to go down so quickly” he explains. “I know I could have fucked it all up, everything you put in place so the mission could go right” you slightly tilt your head to the side in agreement.
“And I know my move was probably a lot more dangerous than the plan you had in mind to make everything right but you know I would never put you or our teams in danger, only myself” he declares with a concerned nod, causing your expression to soften. “You, never. I would never risk it, no matter what” there’s a soft frown over his face as his eyes flicker with sincerity, his confession making your heart ache as it hangs in the air before he talks again. “And I never doubted your ability to command a mission.”
You nod with a heavy sigh, acknowledging his apology. “I should apologize too. I shouldn't have lashed out on you like that either.” you admit and nod sheepishly, reflecting on your impulsive behavior. “I really wanted this mission to go right”
“For what it’s worth,” he starts with a small smile, trying to dissimulate a bigger one. “I talked about it with Leia and she thinks you did pretty good” his declaration doesn’t fail to draw an appreciative smile from you, one that makes him mirror your action. “And she thinks we would work great together”
“And I agree,” you reply, finally feeling a weight lift off your shoulders as the tension between you begins to dissipate. “We do make a good team.”
Poe’s smile widens, relieved to see you loosen up a bit. “Yeah, we do” he agrees with a small huff, stepping closer to you. “I just hate seeing you so worked up.”
You chuckle softly, shaking your head. “I hate getting worked up,” you scoff.
“I’ll try to think about it twice next time,” Poe promises, reaching out to gently take your hand in his. “I don’t want to step on your toes or make you feel like I don’t trust you or your judgment.”
Your fingers intertwine with his, the warmth of his touch calming you further. “Well I’ll try not to snap at you,” you promise in return, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze as you let your head rest against his chest with a small, barely audible sigh. “Especially not in front of everyone,” you mutter, earning an amused chuckle from him. You melt into his touch as he leans to press a gentle kiss over your forehead, his hand that is not holding yours coming to wrap around you.
It is only after you pull away from his embrace and leave a chaste kiss to his lips that the corner of your eye notices a sort of spy in the corner of the door frame.
“What’s he doing here”
Poe frowns before he turns around, huffing out a laugh when he notices BB-8 peeking out the door. “How long have you been here?” he jokingly scolds his droid that fully reveals himself now that he has been caught. “You know he doesn’t like when we fight” he softly sighs turning back to you, a mix of amusement and concern in his eyes before he looks at BB rolling over the both of you.
You shake your head, unable to suppress your smile at BB-8’s presence. “Very sweet of him to be looking out for us,” you start, reaching out to pat the droid’s dome affectionately. “But maybe he should learn not to eavesdrop.”
BB-8 chirps playfully, obviously pleased with the attention, seemingly eager to be a part of the reconciliation.
Poe chuckles, kneeling down to scratch behind BB-8’s sensor with a fond smile. “Yeah, yeah, we’ll work on that,” he says before glancing back at you with a soft smile. “He's our kid, he’s been worried sick about us, weren't you?” he turns to BB, who's beeping frantically in agreement.
You glance at him, then back at Poe, a softness settling in your chest at the sight of them together, your little family. “Our first kid, yeah” you smile softly, heart fluttering inside your chest.
“First? Meaning there's gonna be more?” Poe asks with a playful smile, getting back on his feet. He raises his eyebrows as he awaits your response, and you both laugh at the sudden change of atmosphere as Poe wraps a hand around you before pressing a kiss to your temple.
You huff out a laugh at his quick jump to conclusion, “I don't know, you're a pretty good dad to this one,” you shrug.
“A couple hours ago I was dead to you and now we're talking having kids” he laughs into your hair, a teasing tone in his voice.
“You weren’t even close to being dead to me, you’re so dramatic Poe” you declare with a small scoff, poking his chest lightly. “That’s the reason Beebs loves you so much” you tease, making him huff out a laugh. “I’d say we should focus on surviving one parenting experience first,” you chuckle looking down at BB-8, nudging Poe playfully. “But who knows what the future holds?”
Poe grins, his eyes sparkling with excitement as his arm grasps tighter around his hold on you. “As long as I have you by my side, I'm up for anything babe.”
reblogs and feedback are extremely (I cannot stress this enough) appreciated!!

It always rubs me the wrong way when people characterize atsushi as too much of a sweetheart. Like he IS a sweetheart but he's also snarky and sarcastic and most importantly he's very very angry. Do not forget this.

Fights with them
Ot7 x Reader
Summary: what they would be like during fights/arguments
Warnings: a lot of angst, not proofread
A/N: after days of struggling to work(hello executive disfunction) I got this request, and my brain decided to jump back into gear and I wrote this in like an hour, as well as half of another request!? 🤷idk, I'm not gonna question it, I'm just glad I'm writing again.
Masterlist
Requests are open
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Seokjin: as much as he bickers with the members, I think he has a rather avoidant personality when it comes to real conflict. He's said he allergic to seriousness, which can definitely become an issue if not careful, as it can one off as indifferent or dismissive. I think he usually ends up snapping and saying something short but pointed, and then walks away before things can escalate further. Always comes back all apologetic, and tries to work through things more calmly.
Yoongi: He's very upfront and sometimes blunt, and he's said before that he hates getting angry/fighting, so I think most issues would be resolved before they can turn into a full blown fight. But I also think he might have a tendency to ignore/avoid smaller issues until they build up. In the moment, he's not that loud, but he's very sharp with his words. Immediately regrets saying anything that might have hurt you afterwards. Definitely needs some time to himself to think and get his emotions under control, but would want to apologize and resolve everything as quickly as possible.
Hobi: He's almost to open too let a fight brew properly. He'll see it coming be like, "wait, let's step back and sort this out" before it gets out of hand. When they do happen though, he's loud only for a moment, and then the rest of the time, he's unnervingly quiet. As I said in his dating HCs, fights almost always culminate in tears because he can't stand y'all being upset with each other. Like, it causes him physical pain. Makes up the fastest out of all the members.
Namjoon: tbh, I think I would fight with him the most out of the members. He's soo stubborn and passive aggressive. Tries to dismiss the issue to de-escalate the situation, but that almost always backfires. Gets loud and slams things/doors, then gets mad at himself for letting his emotions get the better of him. Definitely needs time to cool off before coming back to talk to you; could be an hour, could be three days, depends on the situation. But he does always come back to talk it out with you.
Jimin: I know several of the big fight stories involve him, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's overly combative, I just think that when he feels strongly about something, he won't back down, which can be a good thing, until it isn't. If it's a smaller argument, he'll just say something snappish and then move on like nothing happened, but in bigger fights, he can rival Joon on volumeand intensity. He can also hold a grudge like you wouldn't believe, so communication is a super important part of resolving the issue so nothing brews into bitterness.
Taehyung: He has a tendency to get very wrapped up in the moment and take things personally, so even small fights can snowball into something bigger if you're not careful. Yells and tries to put up a tough exterior, but starts to crack pretty quick and will want to leave before his other emotions show too much. Another crier(same). Ultimately, can't stand being away from you for too long, the type that will climb in bed and hold you, but not speak because the wounds are still fresh. Will probably talk it out with you the next morning.
Jungkook: He's such a emotional and overly reactive person, so I see fights being a common occurrence with him tbh. With smaller fights, he stays pretty calm, but when things escalate, he's all over the place. Definitely an angry crier. For some reason, I don't see him really yelling during fights? He's more like Hobi in that, if he does, it only happens in bursts and the rest of the time, his tone is just slightly raised(like when he scolds ppl during lives). Does not like to walk away and wants to sort things out then and there, even though that's probably not the best idea, but he doesn't want to let the tension drag on longer than it has to.

DILF SKK IM SORRY
Tumblr media
Also headcanons bc I'm so normal about them
Dazai
Janky old broke hobo spiderman energy
When I say broke I mean BROKE
Will swindle his way into getting money
Absolute SLUT will sleep with someone just to have a place to stay the night
Not exactly homeless, he's more like a roach. Just kinda scatters anywhere and stays somewhere he finds comfortable even if he's not welcome (cough cough chuuyas apartment)
Giving frank Gallagher energy but if he actually tried to be a good dad (source: shameless)
Oh did I mention he's a dad
YESSSIRR HES GOT A DAUGHTER BC GIRL DAD DAZAI CANON
His daughter is actually kinda embarrassed of him
She's def the one who worries about him the most
Lives with her mom, who is one of dazais old one night stands (IT SHOULDVE BEEN ME FR)
Her mom couldn't give two shits about this man even if she tried
His daughter doesn't want to be anything like him
She inherited his intelligence tho, just not his irresponsibility
Dazai doesn't live with them, he and the mother aren't dating but they're not friends either, she just kinda accepted that he's this cockroach in her life and her daughter is a nice piece of leftover trash he can't get enough of
Don't get me wrong, dazai LOVES his little girl
Absolutely adores her
She's usually just annoyed by him
He finds it cute when she yells at him cause it reminds him of when she would throw tantrums as a toddler
But she does genuinely love her dad more than anything
It's just hard for her to show it
She's not particularly close with her mom either since she's kind of a cruel and bitter woman
Still not over how dazai treated her
He's not perfect, but he tries
Chuuya
This man is like the complete opposite of dazai
He's a single father who wouldn't leave his daughter alone for a second
Unlike dazai chuuya fell genuinely in love with a woman but she died during childbirth
At first he was angry that his wife was taken away but one look at this little girl in his arms and all the pain and anger washed away
He promised her he would give her the world no matter what
He's absolutely the best father you could ever ask for
His daughters spoiled spoiled SPOILED
Nothing but the best for his little girl🥺
And unlike dazai bro is LOADED so yeah she pretty much gets anything she wants with a snap of her fingers
But she's not a brat tho (at least, not when she's older)
She takes after chuuya in her need to be useful and independent
She's actually way more calm than he is, but she does have a little of his demeanor
Anyway enough abt her since I'm very early into the development of this au and Idk much about how I want the kids to be yet
Chuuya does bulk up as years go by cause ain't no way this child having a TWINK for a father🙄
He does also get a teensy bit taller bc I wanna throw this dog a bone, man
"I'm still growing" You know what?? Yeah you are buddy keep believing in urself😊
Still in the mafia, but since having a kid he's withdrawn a lot more from this life
He's not the type to try to get a higher position for his kid since he knows that the more involved he is with the Port Mafia, the more danger he and his family is in
Only a few in the Port Mafia actually know he's got a kid
For a while they tried to keep it a secret from mori not knowing what he'd do
Also do not leave his young daughter alone with this man
WEVE SEEN YOSANOS BACKSTORY GOODBYE
Chuuya is a lot less violent than he was in his 20s
Having a kid really softened him up
Now when he's on a mission, he doesn't kill anyone unless he was ordered to
He can see the fear in his enemy's eyes and all he can think of are their kids and what would happen to them
So unless he absolutely has to, he won't kill anyone
His job is also a secret from his daughter
He doesn't want her involved in any way whatsoever
He wants her to find her own path, to be her own person, and most of all, to be safe and happy
Wasn't gonna do this part but
SOUKOKU
Dazai and chuuya do get back together in this au
After the unofficial breakup they did have a couple nights together but after a while they drifted apart, chuuya finding a wife and family, and dazai slowly spiraling deeper and deeper into his own mess
Their lives are intertwined again upon an incident where their kids are in danger
That's when they pull a spy x family and secretly defeat the enemy without their daughters knowing about it
It was supposed to be a one time thing, after this they're back to their normal lives
But unfortunately their girls became quite good friends, so they had to keep seeing each other
They went from hanging out with their kids in a daddy-daughter tea party to absolutely destroying each other in the bedroom
Ok that's all I genuinely wanna develop this au so ask me anything! I'd love to answer ur questions!!!

[[Ignore me yapping about LiuHan once again]]
Kinda NSFW-ish towards the end?? Idk, but in case you've been warned.
Tumblr media
Intensively thinking about Bi-Han and his brothers returning to their camp at night after a mission that couldn't have gone more wrong, and Bi-Han fucking losing it. Deep down, he acknowledged that the three of them, and their Lin Kuei group overall, did everything they could and that their mission was a lost cause before it even began, but he couldn't help being disappointed, nevertheless, not only with his skills, but also with his brothers'. It infuriated him thinking that someone challenged them and survived to tell the story, and he couldn't help but wonder what their clan thought of their leader, now that they saw him lose so miserably. Like it was usual for him, he ended up taking his anger out on anything and anyone he saw: he screamed, threw insults and some fists like he was 5 years old all over again until, eventually, Kuai and Tomas joined forces and told him to kindly go fuck himself if all he had to do was argue and complain. It was useless to fight over something they didn't have control over anymore. Their first try failed, period. Now, they had to stick together and stay focused if they wanted to actually put an end to their mission and catch the guy before they were to lose his tracks.
Mission that, of course, was assigned by no one if not Liu Kang himself. Bi-Han then, as Grandmaster, had the job to visit him and tell him how things went (even if useless considering that he'll already know the outcome. Probably, he even expected them to fail).
Then, I imagine Liu finding an angry Bi-Han at his Fire Temple, so lost in his wrath that he didn't even make sense as he talked: with quick words and a croaky voice he explained to Liu why they couldn't complete the task they were entrusted with; still, all while omitting the parts where he was the one to misjudge the situation. While normally Bi-Han would bow and calmly ask for forgiveness, still staying as much professional as he could, now the cryomancer was so angry that he didn't care about ranks anymore, as he entirely ignored Liu Kang trying to participate in the conversation. He just complained and complained, like a broken record, and if Liu tried to answer, Bi-Han just talked over him to get defensive and bitter.
It was already a couple of hours that Bi-Han was at Liu's temple, and the God has never heard him talk so fucking much?? But, at the same time, Liu Kang noticed that Bi-Han was getting tired, and that the only thing keeping him on his feet was sheer frustration. So, as a last resort, he tried to get him to relax by inviting him in his room to let him rest his head on something soft, as Liu knew that was the only thing he needed to have him fall asleep on the spot. He couldn't speak with Bi-Han in the state he was at that moment: only after he'd have rested, he could have talked to him about the mission.
Except that Bi-Han didn't seem to like his idea, despite Liu Kang convincing him to catch his breath on his bed; one moment he was talking about Tomas, the other he was still insulting their target. For how much patience Liu Kang was gifted with, he, too, was starting to have enough. It wasn't like the Lin Kuei had just let World's end happen. There was no reason for Bi-Han to get that worked up. As a distraction, while Bi-Han was finally resting with his back flat against Liu's mattress, the latter sat next to him, and gently started stroking the man's black hair with his fingers, even getting some of it out of the tight bun, just see how Bi-Han would have reacted: with pleasure, he found that Bi-Han was welcoming his touch, and he didn't snatch his hand away, like he would have normally done. Deciding to test his luck furthermore, Liu Kang then slowly caressed the man's face as well, feeling that his cheeks had warmed up with the way he had been yelling moments before.
Now that he was calming down, Liu Kang finally had the opportunity to talk back: he decided it was best, for now, to just reassure him. He told Bi-Han that their target wasn't someone who needed them to take immediate action, and that the only reason he was able to run off was because the Lin Kuei wasn't familiar with his fighting methods, so they let themselves be fooled; but, now that they were more aware, the next time they'd have surely destroyed him.
Bi-Han had stopped talking for some time, as he was listening to Liu Kang's soothing voice with half-closed eyes. Even if he seemed so, Liu knew he was far from relaxed. So, at last, he bowed his head and kissed Bi-Han chastely on the lips as a sign to finish there the conversation and invite him to rest together, but as he was still bent over him, Bi-Han quickly grabbed him by the back of his neck to force him into another kiss, this time a more passionate one. Without the heart to turn him down, Liu Kang reciprocated until their short make-out session left both men breathless. Even if Bi-Han had always been rougher in bed, this time he was even more aggressive as he kissed Liu with force and hunger, biting his lips until he drew blood and forcing his tongue inside the other's mouth.
Without letting Liu the time to do anything, Bi-Han changed their positions and quickly got up to press bites all over the God's exposed neck like he didn't want to leave a single piece of skin unravished by his lips; meanwhile, his still gloved hands traveled the other's body and hastily helped him get out of his clothes. Bi-Han had gotten so impatient that he didn't even care where Liu's clothes landed once he threw them across the room.
Curious by the sudden change of atmosphere, Liu Kang let Bi-Han do everything he wanted; the bites felt good, but hurt with the same intensity. At last, he found himself yanked hard against the mattress with his chest bared and Bi-Han looking down at him like he was starving and Liu was the first piece of meat he had seen after weeks. (Well, probably they hadn't gotten intimate in some time, but he certainly didn't image Bi-Han to be that desperate).
Bi-Han insisted on assaulting Liu Kang with kisses, not even caring about the way he was already getting some sounds of approval out of the other's throat. There was no tenderness in Bi-Han's touch, clearly he was just chasing his own release, but Liu didn't seem to care: his lover was trying to relieve stress, and who was him to tell him no? Besides, he liked to see just how desperate the Grandmaster could get only for his body.
One thing led to another, and the two men both found themselves nude. Bi-Han's thrusts were brutal and graceless, and his moans were louder than usual. Liu Kang didn't even come, but he didn't bring himself to care as the only thing he was focused on was hugging the man above him and caressing him as he was being devoured alive.
Once Bi-Han was finished, he looked like a different person compared to the first time the two saw each other that night. His hair was a mess, his lips were swollen and tainted with both their blood, and his back was covered in scratches. He looked at Liu Kang one last time, noticing that he had left him in an even worse condition. Before the tiredness finally took over his body, Bi-Han leaned in to press a last, soft kiss on Liu Kang's lips. It was the sweetest one he had ever received.
The morning after, Liu was the first one to wake up, with too many marks on his body, which he didn't know how to explain, and a pain that made all his muscles throb. But, despite everything, he was smiling, seeing Bi-Han sleeping next to him with the most serene expression he had seen on him after months of being together.

I wonder, how different things would have gone with Liam's story if both Carver and Bethany survived?
Ooh man that's a good question, cos that is. a Significant change gldlgdfkjl
I got rambly so putting it under a cut :p
It would have gone better, that's for sure! Since a lot of his guilt and grief is, well, about their deaths. I think if both had survived then he and Bethany would not have grown as close, and in turn he and Carver would have grown closer. They would both down on their protectiveness of Bethany and she would hate it, even if she shares their fears.
The juicy part is what happens during/after the Deep Roads though i think!! Idk which would be better, Carver being a Warden and Bethany being brought to the Circle or Carver becoming a Templar and Bethany as a Warden...... both have some great tension potential hehe
If Bethany was in the Circle Liam would struggle with the fact that in the end they failed to save Bethany from the fate they, well, tried to save her from her entire life. And not only that but that she doesn't seem to fare half as bad as they thought. Makes you wonder if the years of living in fear were worth it. He'd also be extra careful about his reputation & how he acts around Templars, for obvious reasons.
If she were a Warden he'd have to cope with her blaming him (in part, at least), for her fate, and with her openly contemplating if death would have been a better fate. It'd kill him to see her so bitter and angry, but he'd get defensive about her blaming him. He told her not to come but she insisted! Not that it stops him from feeling at least somewhat guilty about it anyway.
As for Carver, becoming a Warden honestly doesn't feel much different from what the original plan was; he would've been a soilder either way. And it's good to see he has found a place in the world, even if he is somewhat insufferable about it lol. It's a bit tough though to see how much he seems to thrive away from the family after Liam trying so hard to keep them together.
The Templar route is def the worse on in this case, it'd feel like Carver is betraying Malcom and Bethany and the struggles the family has had. It'd fuel their rivalry for sure because well, this just proves that Carver can't be trusted to make decisions on his own! And of course that just makes Carver more stubborn in his choice.
In any case, it would be nowhere as hard of a blow as them dying, but it would still take a lot of adjustment. So much of Liam's life has been centered around them that it's odd to them being out of reach. The distance serves them well in the long run though! Helps them all grow into their own independently of each other and make them appreciate their bonds more over time.

YOUR WIP SNIPPET I’M GONNA FALL DOWN!!!
Kenta sitting there and waiting with Kim is so cute to me, Kim’s “are you fucking kidding me” look is HILARIOUS, and oh my god Kenta just tell him you want him to grab you by the collar.
That’s a really good point, especially when it comes to their relationship with Kim. It’s easier to accept someone’s flaws when it’s not you they’ve hurt, and when they didn’t target you specifically. Like how long does it take Kim to process what he went through? Does he have dreams about Winner standing over his body? There’s a level of physical trust that has to be built up from below zero. Winner went out of his way to beat on Kim when he was down (and maybe part of him was bitter that Kim hadn’t embraced him as a teammate, and angry that the person who always turned him into a kicked puppy was so easily reduced to nothing, like “You’re supposed to be better than this. Get up,” kind of complicated, misplaced, nasty feelings).
Another thing I’ve been thinking about in regards to guilt and penance is Kenta and Dean’s relationship, and the way Kenta pushed Dean down the wrong path? I don’t think Dean would particularly blame him—it was his own choice (unless it turns out that Kenta knew Charlie’s death was gonna be faked and let Dean take the fall for it. In which case there would be a lot of anger, since Dean was already upset about being blamed for something he didn’t do).
But I think Kenta would probably blame himself (when does he not), since Dean would never have done anything if Kenta hadn’t suggested it, if Kenta hadn’t seen him as a set of dominoes ready to topple over. I think it’s something they’d probably fight about and would tie into Dean’s issues with wanting Kenta’s respect.
Oh yes Winner you are such a martyr it is sooo terrible to have to sit there and watch all of that glorious action; whatever would they do without you? 😆
Oh Dean. He’s never not gonna make me hurt. I am NOT ready to talk about him and Alan again ahdjfjfja it is so tragic!!!
How DO they all get together SHFJFJF THAT’S SUCH A GOOD POINT. It’s honestly probably very messy and convoluted, given all of their histories and Winner’s resistance to even caring about anyone. I think things would happen between some of them more easily than others. I will think some thoughts on this.
I am. Not Optimistic about all four of them surviving. LOL. 😬😬😬 But I am prepared to fully ignore some things that happen and and live in canon divergent land ahdjfkfj. I had the SAME thought about Dean, like oh at least he’s safe behind bars! (The episode may have aired by the time this gets posted so I may already be in “lalala ignoring this” land”)
(WINNERDEAN FIC!!!! 🥺🥺🥺)
WAY HAS A CAR DEALERSHIP AS A SIDE HUSTLE 😭😭😭 Winner at least podiums during the races, so maybe he gets a modest amount of winnings? Idk how racing works BUT I do think he has family money. Like he absolutely has those entitled vibes, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes from a racing family as well.
THE SAME GYM, THE SAME LOCKER ROOM, AND THE SAME BAR. Like I know the city is not that small, why are they always up each other’s asses hmmm (homo reasons)
I just keep imagining all the ways it would go down. it's so dependant for me on how well Kim and Kenta knew each other BEFORE. did they meet that singular time Tony came to watch a race? or was Kenta doing like, personal assistant type stuff and helping Kim get settled in? I can't get past the look they share as Kim is taken away it's SO charged and speaks to a bit of an established relationship (of any sort). but yes Kim should grab Kenta by the collar. both of his shirt and the one Kim's gonna give him.
oof I feel like we haven't discussed Kim's trauma from being held captive and beaten up at all, how have we missed this!! it's definitely the way Winner went about it, bitter and vindictive exactly as you say. like when we first meet Winner and Kim in the gym they're aligned together but very quickly Kim is like "um no" - we see him very much against Winner employing dirty tricks but he's also aggressively not on team Winner before that even. if only we had gotten a handful more scenes of Red Racing before everything kicked off! the guys in the garage Winner's drinking with seem to support him, so he's not the worst all the time. but yes to everything you said! there is a huge gulf between where they have to come from to where we most often place them all together. I guess that's the more difficult part of their story and not half as fun to discuss as them all navigating an actual relationship lol.
wasn't it Kenta who sabotaged Babe's car the other time? he got caught on the cameras but literally only by Kim, who's locked up at the time Charlie's car gets sabotaged. couldn't he just. do it again?and also HOW did Kenta know to go to Dean for that? (my headcanon is Winner introducing Dean to Tony as a like, here's a guy who could be on our team kinda thing. like someone had to know to exploit Dean.) anyway YES. Kenta would blame himself and him taking all the blame of it is taking away Dean's agency. because he DID make that choice - he didn't think it was going to kill Charlie but it was always a risk, car racing is not the safest sport at the best of times. it would tie in very well with the age-related respect issues; Kenta reducing Dean's role in it all is akin to treating him like a child, like he doesn't know enough to know what he did was bad. so far Dean's the only one who's faced actual consequences for his actions!
honestly I can see it starting with any permutation of the four of them lol. I often default to it happening WinnerDean + KimKenta -> all four (after various mixing of three of them) - probably the only way I can't see it happening first is WinnerKenta lol. although that would be the most toxic way to kick of this toxic polycule.
Winner is the one I'm most nervous about since he's a true villain in the piece but I'm Very Concerned about a Kenta self-sacrifice play. but yeah I will be joining you in canon-divergent land if anything actually happens to these four. BEYOND what already has lmao we gotta get Dean out of jail.
(SOMEONE has to write winnerdean fic we are starving. I gotta stop using all my words and energy on these asks lmao but I'm having so much fun)
we have now discussed rich kid Winner in our third simultaneously occurring pit babe-related conversation on this website lmao. at some point in the near future I am gonna go through and collect all the exchanges we have had and put them all together.
FOR REALLL though, x hunter seems to despise Winner yet at no point was anyone like "should we go somewhere he won't be?" of course not. surely I am not the only one who believes one of the reasons Winner hates Babe is because he got rejected by him.

Ok, here is my breakdown and my thoughts on the ending of Bittersweet Chapter 3.
First off, I wanted to say thanks to Yuuri for blessing us with Bittersweet and this amazing fucking story, as well as the start of Shattered, which I presume, is the start of Auron's story.
Tumblr media
This isn't important, but I enjoy that Al's fancy is take-out pasta (fr same). Also, his happy little face thing about it got me like 😊😊😊
Tumblr media
Then the conversation between SugerBoo and Al and the trust he has for them is just gold, but it's a tad reckless.
Cause if I was in Al's shoes, I would bring up the gun and talk about the choice they were going to make, if it was a good idea, and what consequences might have followed with their actions.
This also leads to the idea that Al may have possibly known about the gun before the listener left to meet up with Jesse. And what we knew from previous episodes, the choice that they made may have left them going to jail, a possible run-in with Auron, or probably dead.
Also, the reassurance that Al made about being 'pure' is a very nice touch to tie it up. It also leaves me thinking, if Al would do the same speech if the listener did kill Derek. Tbh idk.
Tumblr media
Also, the shared dream thing that the trio had. 👀👀👀
I know it's not the same but it's pretty fucking close in my book.
Tumblr media
THEN WE GET BLESSED WITH BABY SETH!
I literally lost it when I saw this cause he is so tiny and his hair is basically Crypted Hunter Seth's hair.
If you look at past Jesse and current Seth, he really does look like her.
This shot made me happy (even though it's not happy). Cause for me when I get invested in characters, I wanna know every little detail about that character. So seeing Al's baby picture and a flashback to when Seth was younger made me go 'OOOOOH SHIT!'.
Tumblr media
Then this scene is just a chef's kiss honestly.
Cause we get to see Seth finally confront Jesse about all the shit she has done.
And I know he confronted her before in episode 5, but that was with current events. This time it's about his past and all the hurt he felt with her being away.
You can even see on Jesse's face that she is finally realized her mistakes as a mom and is probably feeling so much guilt for putting her son in pain.
SHE IS ALSO CRYING TOO!
Even though this part was short it's what they both needed.
Seth needed to tell his true feelings about his mother and what he felt during the years she was gone. While Jesse needs to face the truth and accept that she had hurt her son, and possibly nothing she can do will ever fully fix her bond with her son.
Then after expressing his emotions he goes from this.
Tumblr media
To this
Tumblr media
I feel like Seth from Chapter One would just beat the shit out of that wall till his hands were fucked up.
But he didn't.
He realized that he was angry and frustrated and just let it all go.
That is growth.
Cause in the very beginning Al mentioned that Seth grew more angry and bitter when his mother cut ties with him.
So his time by himself and the time with the listener and Alphonse, really helped him with his anger and frustration towards his family and the world.
He's learning to let go of anger and just move on with peace.
Tumblr media
Jackie's art = good shit. PERIOD!
Also its urger time.
When Al called Seth a little bitch and was teasing him fr filled me with serotonin.
Tumblr media
THEN THIS FUCKER IS JUST!!!
Tumblr media
YUMMY
I fr am feral for this man rn. I still need to get to know Auron more to fuck with him. BUT! I am a little slutty whore baby for people who dress nice and do crime.
Like he looks like a mob boss in the 50's and I am LIVING FOR IT DARLING!
Also, the bruises on both of his hands fucking mean that he went ham on Derek.
He probably tortured him as well.
I can just imagine him beating the shit out of Derek behind closed doors and having all of the grunts listen to Derek's screams and begs him to stop.
And when he's finally done and comes out of the office, he gives them all a look of 'do not cross me.', before pouring his own or having someone pour him a drink.
Ok, Tumblr won't let me do more than 10 pictures so ima do part 2.

Having trouble with thinking of something to ask hrmm
What part of the rw lore do you find most interesting? Like..what are your thoughts on it? any twists you've thought up or any detail/s you just wanna rant abt?
The rainworld lore is painfully a lot and painfully little at the same time, like why are the pearls focused on garbage worms and what is noise milking oh my goddd
moon isnt lore on her own but her pearl readings are a massive source of it. so if i had to say my favorite thing would be iterators and the relationship they had with their colonies. the fact they can vary and the fact iterators have different opinions of their parents!! (one iterator talked abt havjng to sit through dark political times awkwardly like 🧍🤷 at some points. thats funny)
ahem I looove it a lot!! for example the way moon worded her existence is sad. the way she speaks about them is sad. like in short “ancients must not try very hard so we do that for them. at least i did” <- smth along the lines
she sounds bitter she dislikes them with a hidden passion even when she has 5 braincells left. Not to mention she calls them parasites with bad takes (sheesh). something people dont really ?? recognize enough or at all imo is that moon almost retired (ancients moving away from her city) and she was happy about it. Until it didnt work out and some stayed and she was pissed again.
now pebbles speaks with softness (as much as he has it in him) he liked them! he liked their art! their music! he liked witnessing their stupid arguments even when they were in his name (he found the citadel he shaded funny for being so angry)
he found a lot of things they did stupid but he also was impressed in other aspects! he liked them a lot to the point the last item that he keeps for comfort and keeps him together as a whole is a hymn of theirs. even when abandoned, he finds comfort in the company they used to bring him!!! how sad!!
Another part of the lore. Hm cycles.
I have no idea how they work. Youd believe at first that when you die. You get reborn. Pain!!! never escaping!!
But that cant be the case it has sooo many plotholes if thats the case.
1 artificers kids died! straight up GONE. theyre dead!! thats why shes so insane you cant tell me theyre just lost somewhere and also pups cant ascend (me when i reach spiritual enlightenment at 10). theyre straight up gone.
2. imagine u defeat the scav kind and he comes back an hour later.. nah. thjngs DIE
3 why did the ancients go crazy over killing themselves then idk!
4 suns was basically crying about how they dont know what theyll do if spearmaster dies. yeah no respawning then.
So then the cycle is being reborn into smth new. great. how does karma play in this. how do you raise it. time? do you have your old memories after u go into a new cycle?? i dont know!! no scug has ever been plagued with dreams of being smth else before. !!! how do you confirm its a thing!! idk!! how do you know you are in a samsara! i wish we got ancients talking about it. in pearls or smth.
i havent ascended with saint yet. (reached karma 10 and bonked the siblings) but i doubt they answer all of my questions
random kiki rw lore fact- did you know that the rot area - (riv gameplay) there is a room in it thats just called terror!!! it upsets me greatly. the place is so different because the rot literally eats his walls. it fucks me up sometimes even if it seems obvious

Yo Ive barely touched my feed so I missed all this shit that went down but I just want you to know that I am 100% behind you; I've been in a very similar situation with family and what you said is a brutal truth but truth nonetheless. TikTok teens can choke
What um, is so incredibly painful, is that we rented a car and went to see my sister after being in correspondence with her. I trusted my mom when she said she had talked to my sister after getting out of the hospital, I thought it was so soon, and we went there and. She hadn't understood we were moving her. She for some reason thought we were just renting a car to bring her for a visit for like two days and then taking her back?
She told us she's living in a studio but what she's really doing is renting a room in an old house with shared communal areas. Her "studio apartment" is literally like the size of a fucking closet. We are talking enough room for a full bed and little furniture on each side. We got there, after telling us we were on the way, and she made us wait outside for over TWO HOURS IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER. Saying she was hungry and hungover and cuddling with her boyfriend. Sorry, she kept saying "favorite person" instead of boyfriend which strikes me as weird
And my mom finally nuts up and says "and how long have you even known him?" and she says, quote, "longer than I've known you guys" GIRL WHAT YOURE THE ONE THAT DEMANDS TO BE TEXTED EXCLUSIVELY
Just. Gosh I'm not going to keep dumping her business but it hurts, like everything she said was so spiteful and hateful and saying she could run away or kill herself if ahe came with us. I went outside and just started crying and screaming so hard my ears started popping and. Yeah I was really gross by the end of it and we're home now and. Even now I'm like.should I have endured the abuse and stayed and let her come, because she was saying she would but in such a way that made it obvious she was angry and would be miserable and treat us poorly and we eventually essentially veckme a safety issue for everyone
Idk I'm trying not to say too much but I'm also incredibly upset and still worried about her. It's hard for everyone involved and incredibly stressful and also I had previously picked up an extra shift tonight so 😩😩😩 but I guess to put a positive spin on that it gives me more money for my trip on the 27th which I really need more lthan ever at this point haha 🙃.
since she doesn't want to come I hope she can at least be happy. I still have a Christmas present to mail and I'm considering either keeping it for myself or sending it to her as like. A parting gift. "I love you and hope you do well but I don't think I can be present in your life anymore"
It's just painful for everyone involved. She makes it very hard to be helped. And I also, am really worried about my guy friend actually 🥺 I won't get into specifics because i dunno why i can never keep a fucking secret when it comes to being upset but he's actually becoming really underweight so when we're hanging out I want to try and comfort him and spoil him with yummy foods and you know, maybe I should try giving my love and support and mental energy to someone who doesn't meet it with absolute hatred and bitterness for once? And I'm also still trying to take care of myself

Ok first off. I haven't read the comics that come before this movie. So anything from there that adds or explains stuff in the movie idk about.
This was made to sort my brain out in general, but also kinda give the Barb Wire Birds a look into how I processed the original fight. It's also spaced weird because I have yet to understand Tumblr spacing and junk
I might also be looking at this whole thing wrong so. My only previous knowledge is a handful of videos about those comics.
Anyway.
When Leo gets home Raph is excited but refuses to let the others see that he is or indulge it. His big brother is home but doesn't expect this to be anything but temporary. Leo has been gone for a year meaning he thinks he can lead the team finally.
But he's happy to have his brother back, but reasonably bitter about everything left unresolved.
Leo went on a solo lesson on how to become a /team/ leader might I add?
The lessons he was taught he threw out the window when he fights Raph.
Raph originally doesn't even /want/ to confront Leo when Leo finds him as the Night Watcher.
Raph got hurt and when Leo confronts him about being out, he just argues. Raph is sick of Leo by this point so he leaves. Deciding his family doesn't need or want him.
Everyone but Raph goes home to talk plans but Splinter scolds Leo. Saying the team still needs Raph to be complete. So he goes.
Leo was supposed to find Raph but abandoned that idea when he saw the NW, instead chasing after him instead finding his brother as asked.
Leo chases Night Watcher to the roof.
Raph is stuck on the roof and has no were to run. Leo starts lecturing who he doesn't know is Raph. Saying that "I want you to know that I appreciate your intentions....but you can't change the world like this. The road you're on is a dead end. Believe me. I've tried it,"
Raph likely has heard similar lectures in the past and still upset from earlier, pulls out his weapon.
Leo seems eager to blow off steam and likely sees the Night Watcher as just another person doing more harm than good that needs to be taken care of.
Leo taunts NW. Noting out loud that he has quite the temper.
Something I want to point out is that Leo grew up with Raph, and trained with him. He knows how to push his brother's buttons.
Leo likely took his knowledge about how Raph behaved and applied it to Night Watcher, and it works. Because of its /Raph/.
Raph gets mad and slips up. They've probably done this song and dance before. It's likely one of the reasons why Raph wasn't chosen to go on the leadership mission.
He's been out every night for who knows how long, probably not getting enough sleep too.
Leo sees the opportunity and takes it.
Upper cutting Night Watcher and sending him flying. And when Leo goes to see who it was under the helmet he's surprised it's Raph.
Up until that moment, he thought he understood Raph entirely. His hot-headed, brash, angry little brother.
He looks shocked when Raph stands up.  He waits for Raph to say something, to explain but gets kicked away.
Now this is where it really kicks up.
"You are so smug, you know that? You think the world revolves around you, don't you? We couldn't survive without the mighty Leonardo to guide us through our problems. Well, I got a news flash for you: We got along just fine without you."
Raph shouts at him after catching Leo off guard.
Leo just discovered what Raph has been up to and likely been using to cope with Leo having been gone, and the extreme change.
Raph could get away as a solo hero before with just Casey knowing. But Leo wouldn't let that continue if given the chance.
Raph can't go back now. He can't run off or backtrack. The Nightwatcher is gone, leaving Raph alone.
Raph didn't have Leo to count on before, why would he now especially?
"Oh, and this qualifies as "just fine"? Dressing up like it's Halloween every night?" Leo shoots back. He doesn't get why Raph would do any of that. Leo and he have always been part of a team, why go solo now? Even if he did that exact thing.
Leo hasn't been with the others for a year. And in that time he never wrote home once, so when April tells him "We don't know what Raph gets up to. He sleeps all day."  he likely expects Raph to have just blocked himself off to his room.
Not fighting crime because Raph missed it and misses Leo.
But Raph has been out fighting crime and doing a mirror of what Leo has been doing that whole year.
The Night Watcher was two different things to them though.
Leo saw it as something that put them all in danger. Some joke Raph was using to get into more fights and cause trouble.
His little brother tried to do what he did but recklessness and anger drove it instead.
Raph was going night after night to protect the city and the family , "Crime doesn't take a vacation" as Raph put it.
It was his way of keeping the family safe and having normality while trying to cope with Leo having left. But also taking his frustrations out on something besides his family.
"Don't push it, Leo. You can't leave and come back....expecting us to fall in line like your little soldiers."
"Hey, I was training. Training to be a better leader, for you. Why do you hate me for that?"
Leo has no real clue what happened in the year they were gone. But what kept him going was that this training would helo him be better for the family. But he doesn't know the things Raph likely learned.
What he does know is that Raph has always argued on him being leader.
he doesn't know that Splinter seemed to be considering Donnie to take over as leader (this is a personal guess. And if it is correct, would likely add more to Raph's frustration)
Leo doesn't know Raph has been drifting away. That he doesn't bother telling the others what he's up to.
"Yeah, I do nothing. You're right. You got me all figured out." is what he says to Donnie when they get in the squabble. He doesn't bother trying with them anymore.
Raph has been running a solo act for my guess is around a year. Taking and accessing things on his own without the others butting in, or having to worry about them.
Raph doesn't hate Leo for trying to be a better leader.
He's mad because Leo wants to learn to lead them with them. Instead, he just followed Splinter's order and left them. Never sending a word home about anything. Only coming home after your friend tells you about how the family is coping.
He doesn't hate Leo. He hates his decisions and how he's too stubborn to listen. Earlier in the movie he even calls him Splinter Jr.
But it's hard to love someone when they just see you as a obstacle instead of a aid.
"Why is it everyone's got such a hard time believing I am a good guy?" I wouldn't doubt what he says is also him upset his family never seems to understand he's being good. Just in a way they don't get.
Moving on.
"And whoever said I wanted to be led? I'm better off calling my own shots now. Get used to it."
"You aren't ready. You're impatient and hot-tempered. And more importantly, I'm better than you."
"Oh, you know something, big brother? I'd have to disagree with you on that one."
Leo breaks. He throws any lessons he learned in his year away because of Raph.
He insults Raph for even considering the idea.
Raph /never/ says he wants to lead. He basicly says he never wants to lead. Raph never implies he wants to be a leader.
But Leo seems to believe he does no matter what he says. He can't seem to get why Raph would even go solo.
Leo assumes Raph wants to lead. Raph says he's better off alone.
He knows he can't lead and doesn't dare be responsible like Leo tries to be. He can't get his brothers hurt if he's a solo act.
Also, why try when your older brother and father would 100% argue and disagree with anything you do?
"Don't do this Raph"
"I'm done taking orders"
These are the last words spoken before the fight ends.
The fight between Leo vs Nightwatcher compared to Leo vs Raph is different.
Leo fights a vigilante he thinks is being careless. Trying to take his family's place, proving to himself being gone for so long was worth it.
For Raph it was an attempt to get Leo to piss off, to knock him down a peg. Only for it to end badly for him.
But the fight between him and Raph wasn't those things.
For Leo, it was many things. To get Raph to back down and to prove he was a leader. To get Raph to stop nagging and being upset at him. But also a attempt go get Raph to stay. How many times have they had this fight before? How many times did Raph say he was going to leave but never did? Except this time it was a promise. But Leo refuses to let Raph be right on this.
For Raph it was everything. It was confronting his older brother. It was defending his pride and honor, and why he did the things he did. It was to get Leo to finally listen and believe him, to not underestimate him. To have a proper excuse to leave.
Leo underestimated Raph's anger and will in that fight.
But Leo makes it a point to not even rile up Raph compared to the NW fight. He doesn't even insult him. Raph was riled up already and more focused. Leo likely thought he'd win.
Raph was so angry. He wanted Leo to go leave, fuck. Maybe just apologize even.
Sais are used to disarming opponents, even breaking them if used right.
Leo and Raph know this. But they always stopped before that could happen.
Raph doesn't stop. He breaks Leo's twin katanas.
He breaks a part of Leo's identity. Raph breaks away from Leo. Leaving him in shock and leaving an opening for Raph.
Raph has Leo pinned to the ground, sais dangerously close to his brother's head.
Both are surprised for a moment.
Leo seems disappointed and upset. Yet in the end not surprised. He almost seems to ask Raph if he's proud of himself.
His brother was always hot-headed and strong. Of course, he nearly kills him.
Raph is horrified and runs, he had almost killed his brother. And Raph when he realized what he nearly did is all the more scary.
Not only is he capable of killing his brother, he almost DID.
It's after that when Leo is captured
Both are right and wrong. Blame can be put on both.
But the most at blame is Splinter.
Raph and Leo have a rocky relationship, and the separation for Leo's training didn't help.
Had Leo not gotten captured Im not sure if Raph would've come back for a long while.

Just finished FFXVI and cried all of my tears because of this absolutely heartbreaking ending. I feel like there's a void in my chest and a bitter taste in my mouth, I'm not ready to let all of these wonderful characters go yet... Btw the ending got me confused (as it should be probably) because being an open ending it will obviously cause all sorts of divergent interpretations. Unless authors don't state with absolute certainty what happened and who lived and/or died, all theories are valid. But I'm curious... what's yours? I personally am conflicted, I need more time to draw my conclusions. I think the simplest interpretation of the ending is that Clive died, Joshua survived and wrote the book and Dion died as well but... Idk, it's too shallow. Some other ppl claimed that it's Clive the one who survived and wrote the book using Joshua's name, others that both (and Dion too) died and their friends wrote the book. Another theory is that Clive and Joshua both died but reincarnated in the two brothers in the post credit scene (Clive also wished for a life where his mother would love him). About Dion, who's absolutely my favourite character of the game, what do you think about Harpocrates's side quest about Dion? Dion refused to accept the flower and Harpocrates is sad about that knowing all to well that Dion will never come back to take it. Am I too pessimistic? Or do you think it's foreshadowing that he may still be alive. I mean, you know the rule: they're alive until you see the corpse. There's also one missing character: Leviathan. He's just mentioned but never shows up. Idk there are a lot of unanswered questions for the story to be really over. Do you think we're gonna have a DLC or a FFXVI-2?
Answer below the cut, but as for dlc, Yoshi P has said they might if the response is good enough. I think during the last interview he mentioned they had ideas and wanted player feedback on what stories we'd like to see more of. Lotta people in Japan are asking for Dion and Leviathan dlc, but I'd be fine with anything. It really feels like we could spend a few years with XVI and still not really know everything about it.
Clive is the one who lived and wrote the book.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's the insignia of his hideaway and he's the only one affiliated with it. He used Joshua's name as an alias the same way he used Cid's so that a part of him would live on.
What's up in the air is Joshua and Dion's fates.
Dion could've survived, and I hope he did because he deserves to find redemption and forgiveness instead of dying holding onto all that guilt, and I'm sure his people wouldn't want him to end that way, even though they might be angry with him for a while over what happened.
The spell Ultima was strengthening Clive to cast is Revive. He was gonna revive his race from death and take over Valisthea. Clive used the spell on Joshua, but it's unclear if it worked.
There's also a shit ton of hints throughout the game that Clive needs to save himself and stop acting like his life can be thrown away. Jill, Cid, Gav, Joshua, and pretty much everyone he knows tells him to come home and not sacrifice himself. There's also other hints in sidequests and even in the lore that Clive will also be saved in the end.
It's a breadcrumb trail and really unsatisfying given everything he went through, but of everyone, Clive definitely lives.

So i had a thought and please, bear with me. I always wondered why Simeon was not part of the brothers that fell from grace back in the war. Especially seeing how he's close with lucifer and tries to keep that closeness between them. I'd say maybe he didn't wanted to leave Celestial Realm but the way Michael treats him doesn't seem to say so.
The second explanation i thought of is that maybe during the war, Simeon chose to not take a side at all. He didn't want to fight either side bcs all of them are his family so he simply did not participate or maybe he was away but the latter seemed unlikely.
And now with nightbringer out, it's finally explained that Simeon helped the brothers by covering up for them and thus ensuring they didn't get caught until the war happened. That satisfied my curiosity but it only gave me a new question, why didn't Simeon fall too?
Maybe it's already explained, maybe I'm wrong, idk i haven't played nightbringer but i do have this idea. What if Simeon did wanted to join the brothers? Maybe he hesitated for a bit or maybe he wasn't there when all of them fell together. Maybe when he realized that his dearest brother had fallen, he had rushed to where it had happened, maybe he wanted to immediately go to them but what if he didn't bcs he simply couldn't?
What if during those last moments, Michael held him back? Maybe in an effort to prevent losing another one of his brothers or maybe its because of Simeon's betrayal for helping them. What if Simeon gets dragged into Michael's office or just somewhere that wasn't destroyed badly in the war? Maybe Simeon sat there and watched Michael for any signs that he feels hurt too, that he is grieving the loss of their brothers too, that maybe he was angry too at their father for the punishment given to Lilith. Maybe he watched in horror and disappointment to see that none of those were on Michael's face, or maybe there were and Simeon thought that maybe Michael would understand.
But none of that probably happened, maybe Michael had gazed at him coldly or maybe there was a look of cruel amusement in his eyes instead. Perhaps, he confronted Simeon about it or mocked him for it, maybe he asked Simeon why Lucifer would go that far or maybe he'd give a bitter laugh about how Simeon was an idiot for helping them and getting caught. Michael probably took his time to question Simeon, his brother but at that moment, all Simeon felt was how much of a stranger Michael felt like. Perhaps Simeon yearned for Lucifer's presence, he was always the middle man between them after all, he was the best of them.
Maybe Michael mocked him and talked about what punishment is fitting for a traitor. Perhaps Simeon felt a rush of hope then, maybe he really does have a chance to join his brother again but things doesn't seem to be in his favor at all, maybe that's what he got for betraying his family. Maybe Simeon talked about how Michael could just throw Simeon away from Celestial Realm, make him join the brothers too and fall from grace, being a demon be damned if it meant he could be with his brother. Michael might've laughed at him, telling him how dumb he was for even thinking that was possible.
Michael probably sneered at him how making Simeon fall from grace is not much of a punishment. Maybe it was even a blessing for Simeon, if it meant he could be with Lucifer again. Both Simeon and Lucifer knew that Michael was too smart, he was cunning too. Michael gave the one punishment that he knew would hurt Simeon most, staying as an angel but his title as a seraph taken away. Simeon now lost his brother and his pride, his title, he wouldn't have cared if he lost his title if it meant staying with his brother but he lost both.
We never know what Simeon's angel form looks like but since he was an seraph, he might've had 6 wings just like Lucifer. Now maybe simply taking away his title wasn't enough, surely him with his 6 wings would be enough of an embarrassment when he's not even an seraph anymore. Maybe everyone saw that moment when Lucifer ripped off his wings during the battle, maybe Michael was a cold and cruel type, we don't really know much about his personality after all.
What if, in order to mock and humiliate Simeon even more, Michael ordered for a pair of Simeon's wings be clipped or ripped off. He wanted to be with his brother so much, why not make him like Lucifer? Maybe Simeon screamed in pain, maybe he endured it all silently with tears streaming down his face, maybe he even looked at Michael with hatred or pain and confusion. Why would he go this far? Isn't Lucifer his brother too?
Maybe after that, Simeon was careful not to use his angel form. When ppl, especially Luke, asks him he would just smile and laugh it off. Then he was sent to Devildom and who else did he meet there but Lucifer and his brothers? He might've noticed that Lucifer was avoiding him, was it guilt? And he saw how the brothers are now. Maybe he had to hold himself back from touching his own back when he saw Lucifer's wings, flashbacks of the pain and the scar so obvious in his angel form.
Perhaps Simeon watched the brothers' new relationship now as they try to fit in after becoming demons and maybe he felt lost. And yearning. He probably watched them and realize that he doesn't fit in there with his old family now, not with Lucifer, especially not with Lucifer. But his own life at Celestial Realm also didn't feel the same anymore, he feels lost there too so where did he fit in?
Maybe Simeon watched how Mammon and Lucifer are so close, watched how Lucifer pampers him. He probably realizes that Mammon would go to all 3 realms for Lucifer if he ever asked for it, he probably would even choose to die for Lucifer if he asked for it and he couldn't help but feel envy. HE was like that too, he would follow Lucifer and sacrifice for him too, that's why he willingly covered for them back in Celestial Realm, isn't it? He took the punishment that came with it too, the scars on his back a constant reminder of the wings that he lost, so identical to Lucifer's wings.
Perhaps jealousy ate away at him as he watches Mammon. Now he could be with Lucifer all he wants because he was Lucifer's assistant back then too but... Didn't Simeon spend more time with Lucifer? Weren't they closer as brothers? Sure Mammon was Lucifer's brother too but wasn't their relationship stronger? Simeon probably craved it, what Mammon has. To be able to stay by his brother's side, to be able to spend more time together with Lucifer like how they did back then.
Simeon was greedy but he also knew, it was not his place to ask for it. He is an angel and Lucifer is now a demon. The only thing linking them now is the past they shared. The memories seems to haunt him, is it the same with Lucifer too? Now the only thing he could do is watch and smile as his brother continues life with the 6 of them, a life that has no part for him to be their brother again.

What about Jack and Alfred's relationship? Also, I really like your account :D
Tumblr media
OKAY BUT LIKE; Jack was obviously born after Alfred had left. He was William's rebound kid like "oh well! Guess that one didn't work out might as well have another!" but like, a lot more bitter than I can sound through text. Y'know and then Will proceeded to not raise said rebound kid.
That's where Jack's resentment to Alfred starts. Because 'I only exist cause he isn't here'; then there is the William constantly praising Alfred despite acting like he hates him. So then poor Jack is even more confused because??? Do you want me to be nothing like him, or do you want me to be just like him??? or?????
Meanwhile; on the other side of the ocean Alfred is only vaguely aware of Jack's existence, like they don't have a relationship and any semblance of something Jack thinks is a relationship is one-sided on his part.
anyway, their relationship finally starts when Alfred sends Jack (who's probably like 8 btp) a Christmas present. Like out of nowhere, and Matt or Dylan or idk who is like "You need to send him a thank you letter". Jack proceeds to take two months to write this thing because friends, I've never spoken to him before. But eventually its sent. and Alfred decides instead of just letting it be? to send one back? and for like a solid year all of these letters are just 'thank you' 'it's not problem' 'well you took the time to send it' 'it really didn't take that much of an effort I'm just happy you like it' cause neither of them know what to say to each other?????
it takes awhile but eventually they get to other topics, just random things here and there. The letters are consistent but they are something; Jack goes from not liking/being indifferent about Al, to idk, thinking he's pretty cool? Like? He told dad to fuck off and got away with it??? what???? Alfred starts to think Jack is pretty cool too, like bro this kid is possibly the most metal ten yr old known to man?? And he gives dear ol' dad 2.3 heart attacks a day, which is super funny to Al. All good things must come to an end though, and at some point the letter pitter out. I'm thinking like sometime during the Spanish-American war, cause Al came out a super power and in a dick move promptly forgot about little old Jack. It was a two sided thing though, Jack became self-governing and Lord Father wasn't happy about it and basically kicked him out at the age of 13-ish; so he had bigger things to worry about.
Alfred showed back up during WW1 but not really long enough for them to do anything but acknowledge each other before Alfred was back to being an introvert.
WW2 rolls around, the US joins the war and Alfred shows up (begrudgingly) to help Jack and Liam, who are in my hc about 16 and 12. England was very worried about them. Now, Jack is angry about stuff, and he's so worried about keeping Liam safe, and I haven't talked to Mattie or dad or uncle Dylan or Uncle Angus in weeks are they okay???? So despite the fact that for at the very least a few months they're together 24/7 they don't really bond; Jack is stuck between "I need to protect Liam" and "I don't know what I'm doing, I can't protect myself much less someone else" that he just ends up being mad and stubborn while Alfred who's instincts have already added these two children to his Protect At All Costs list is just confused because??? I'm just trying to keep you two safe why do you hate me???
eventually the war ends (thank god); now Liam during the war just added Alfred to his list of People To Cling To Randomly. Alfred was at the bottom of the list albeit, but he was on it. Jack however just got wary of Alfred. He was trustworthy sure, but, this whole thing was technically his first impression of Alfred. and in the middle of a war is not the best time to get a first impression.
by the time the mid-fifties rolled around Alfred in-between stare offs with Ivan decided it was time to actually spend time with his younger two siblings. and this my friends, is when Alfred and Jack finally became the crackhead duo they are; it's not perfect it's really not. But they do get along pretty well, they get in the stupidest arguments like how to make the best pb&j or who Matthieu likes more. Jack rambles about animals for 45 min straight while Alfred listens intently then Alfred rambles about space for 45 min straight while Jack listens intently. It's the only time either of them can sit still that long. combined they give dear ol' dad 4.6 heart attacks a day. There will always be the age gap obviously, and there'll always be the over-arching problem of William and his favoritism. but idk, I think they'll be ok.

anyway i thought it would be fun to post snippets of unfinished fics so that maybe people bully me into finishing them, so i've picked a few and will be posting one a day for the next week or so? idk. anyway here's an unfinished descendants rotten ot4 piece that's one of my favorite things i've ever written for this fandom imo. tentatively titled ‘looking for someone to help you when you scrape your knees.’ tw for mentioned child abuse, maybe eating disorder, general isle behavior, injury, etc
mal finds carlos stumbling around outside his house with a broken arm. mal thinks if he moves it the wrong way this will end with carlos’s bone protruding from his skin. she shivers. she’s seen some nasty shit in her fourteen years of life, but this? this scares her, and that makes her heart beat quick, like a frightened rabbit. she takes him to the hideout, swallowing her bitter fear and turning it into rage.
it’s evie who asks what needs to be asked. “what happened, ‘los?”
“i fell,” carlos stammers, through the pain. mal and evie are trying to set the bone, and jay’s gone out to find something, anything, to trade to anthony tremaine to get his mom to make something that will hopefully save carlos from infection. mal’s seen people die of infection on the isle, and it’s as though the fever burned them from the inside out. she won’t let that happen to carlos. she won’t.
“bullshit,” mal shoots back. she doesn’t believe that for a second. they all know — they all know that cruella is a bitch, in every sense of the word. sure, evie’s mom pinches her in the sensitive spots that no one will ever see where she claims that evie has ‘yet to lose that horrid baby fat’ and jafar's hit jay before and they all know it'll happen again, and mal’s mom has a tendency to hit mal with her staff and there are times mal has had scratches from her mother’s too-long not human nails clawing lines up her arm, raised and red, but... cruella is worse, somehow.
“was it your mom again?” evie asks softly, while attempting to use a ripped up shirt of jay’s as a sling to keep carlos’s arm in place.
carlos doesn’t say anything, and mal knows that his lack of a response is as much of an answer as they are going to get.
[LINE TO INDICATE SCENE BREAK BC I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO ADD THOSE ON TUMBLR ANYMORE]
“i'm going to fucking kill her,” mal hisses. she can feel her magic rising up within her, pushing against the barrier, and it feels like ants crawling under her skin. she knows her eyes must be flashing green. jay shrinks back, and a small part of mal relishes in that. even jay is scared of her. ‘you could bring them all to their knees, if you had to,’ her mind whispers. it comforts her to know that.
“you can't,” jay murmurs, quiet so as to not wake carlos, who’s asleep in the other room. anastasia tremaine had given jay a sleeping tonic and something to numb the pain, as well as something to stave off infection. she’d gotten far, far less than she’d given, but if the old bitch wanted to barter the entirety of her wares away, that wasn’t mal’s problem.
“just watch me,” mal hisses. her magic is buzzing under her skin, and, not for the first time, she feels like it’s going to rip through her skin and burst out of her in one big explosion. the emotions in the room are high, and mal can feel the press of evie and jay’s emotions on her own — jay’s gold and evie’s royal blue are muddling her purple. she’s angry, but they’re scared, and mal shoves their emotions back, concentrating on only her own anger, burrowing herself in the safe, deep purple that feels like coming home. “i'm going to fucking kill that bitch.” her voice is deadly calm, like a snake about to strike.
“and if you can't?” jay snaps back. there’s tension in the air like the fishing wire uma uses to mark her borders ready to snap. run too fast, not knowing it’s there, and, well. it’s a mistake you won’t make twice. mal’s struck silent for a moment, and jay plows ahead. “if you can't kill cruella, mal, do you know who dies? carlos. carlos is dead, because if we try to kill her, and we can’t? that’s his fucking death sentence.”
“and if we don't?” mal snaps back, her eyes flashing, her teeth sharp. “nothing gets better for him. cruella might kill him anyway. shit, jay, look at what happened this time. it's a fucking miracle she hasn't killed him already.”
“fine,” jay says, long and low. “tell me you can fucking stand to have his blood on her hands if we try to kill her, and we can’t. tell me you’re okay with that, mal, because i sure as fucking hell am not.” he steps closer to her, whispers in her ear. “malevolence, i swore i would never use your true name without your permission. but believe me when i fucking say that if you do this, i will break that promise. i will make sure you can’t get within an inch of cruella de vil.”
shivers tickle up mal’s spine at the sound of her true name. “you fucking swore, jabran,” she hisses, his name spitting out of her mouth like a curse. “you swore you’d never use that against me. look at you now, you little fucking snake. biting the hand that fucking feeds you.” he wouldn’t. he has to know if he does this mal will turn the entire isle against him. he won't survive a day — no one would. she’ll get her mother to take out a bounty on his head, and mal will make damn well sure that everyone on this fucking rock knows that you don’t cross her.
“do not test me, malevolence,” jay murmurs, dragging her true name out in her mouth like he’s savoring it. “if it’s what i need to do to keep carlos safe, you will find that i very much can. and will.”
“fuck you,” mal spits, and she’s about to keep cursing every aspect of jay she can think of when there’s a soft voice from behind her.
“he’s right, mal,” evie says, and mal spins around, only to see evie, her lips a hard line of determination, her lipstick red as a poison apple and just as deadly. “who's going to protect you?” she asks. “i'd kill cruella if i could, lord fucking knows she deserves that and more, but... i can't. none of us stand a chance against our parents. they're the villains of legend, and we're... we're nothing.”
mal and jay and carlos and evie protect each other. that's how it has always been. mal takes a breath, and she can feel the magic under her skin calming slightly, settling down, like a dragon curling up to sleep. evie’s right, of course. she always is. “you’re right, eves,” she murmurs, and evie smiles softly at mal, her eyes mournful.
mal levels her gaze at jay. “you’re right, too, even if you are a complete fucking asshole,” she mutters, and jay snorts a quiet laugh at that, running a hand through his hair. it's the closest anyone gets to apologising on the isle. apologizing is a sign of weakness, and mal is not weak. “and if anything happens to carlos, you're my backup. understand?”
“of course,” jay responds, with no hesitation. jay might stop mal from harming cruella while she still has a hold on carlos, but if carlos is gone, then all bets are off. if anything happens to carlos, mal knows as sure as she knows her own heartbeat that jay and evie would be by her side, taking vengeance in the form of blood.
[LINE]
mal finds evie crying in an alley in skid row, rummaging through one of the trash piles that the residents have piled up outside their house. her cheeks are gaunt and hollow when she looks up at mal, and mal tries not to recoile from the sight of her. “what happened?” mal asks, gently.
evie takes a shaking, shuddering breath. “i haven't eaten in at least a week. god, mal, i'm so hungry.” the words spill out of evie’s mouth like a flood, and mal bites her lip so hard she tastes blood.
“why haven't you — ” mal stops suddenly, as it hits her. the evil queen must have decided that evie wasn’t losing her baby fat fast enough, and thus must have taken matters into her own hands. there’s a deep, quickening fear pressing in on mal, royal blue, and mal can feel it mixing with her own fear that she knows well, and the two emotions create an awful, sickening indigo shade of panic that settles in the pit of mal’s stomach. “shit, eves. we’ve got to get you to the hideout. i’m sure carlos has some food stashed away he can spare, or i can send jay out to — ”
“no.” evie’s voice is harsh and breaks through mal’s frightened rambling. “if this is what she fucking wants, mal, i’m going to give it to her.” she’s sunk down against the wall now, her back against the bricks, her head in her hands.
“so you’re going to starve yourself to death to spite your mother?” mal laughs a little, hollow and empty. “talk about cutting off your fucking nose to spite your face, evie.”
evie smiles at that, but it’s brittle and empty. “that’s the plan,” she murmurs, a half-grin still on her face.
“well, tough fucking luck,” mal mutters under her breath. she’s made up her mind. if evie wants to starve herself to death, she’s doing it over mal’s dead body. “get up, evie. i’m not letting you fucking starve yourself to death.”
“why can’t you just leave me alone,” evie hisses, her face twisting into something hideous, and for the first time, mal can see the witch that queen grimhilde turned herself into reflected across evie’s features. “what does it fucking matter to you, anyway?”
“because i’m not fucking losing you, evie,” mal says, her tone harsh, and evie blinks. there’s a kind of shock registering across her face, and mal bites her lip. “i’m just not, okay?” she won't lose evie. just like she won't lose carlos or jay. she won’t.
there are no friends on the isle, but there is something deeper — family. but not just the family who shares your blood. the kids on the isle know better than anyone else that sharing blood doesn't make you'd lay down your life for them. and mal knows, suddenly, in her heart, that she'd lay down her life for evie. or carlos. or jay. in a heartbeat. if it was her life or theirs? theirs. it’s a selfish move on her part, because mal knows she can’t live without them. it’s half a death wish and half a sacrifice.
there's a deep blue pressing in on mal, but it's not the breathless fear she felt from evie moments ago, but something different. the blue settles over her, almost like the calm blue of the ocean outside the barrier that mal's never touched. this feeling, too, mal can't quite identify — it settles a bit in her chest like comfort but drifts to her throat like mania before resting itself, lightly, in the palms of her hands, warm and sturdy.
“mal?” evie murmurs, her voice soft. “will you take me home?”
home. it's a word mal's never heard used on the isle before. mal steps in, scoops evie up — she's nearly as light as mal is, and mal knows she weighs about half as much as she would if she were a full human, and the thought of how little evie's had to eat the past few days sends a sharp pang through mal's heart.
“sure, evil. want me to get you up to your room, or drop you off with your mom?”
evie shakes her head, her face buried in mal's neck. “not with my mom. not harlot square,” she murmurs, and mal can feel evie's warm breath on her neck. she shivers. “the hideout.”
[LINE]
“shit. shit. fuck. shit.” mal's not really thinking about what she's half-muttering through panting breaths, only that if she doesn't get to the hideout before hades’s dogs catch up with her she's going to have a lot more than a stab wound in her leg to contend with.
harry had caught her on uma's territory, and ever since her and uma had gotten into that fight months ago about a stolen shipment from the barges, uma had made it very, very clear that mal was no longer welcome anywhere near her. which, mal would like to point out, is entirely unfair, because she wasn't the one who stole it, and uma knows she can't lie. but she digresses. what's done is done.
she'd been on uma's territory — she'd needed a good look at what had come in on the barges — and she'd run almost directly into harry hook. everyone on the isle knows that harry’s practically begging for a fight at literally any time, and combine that with uma's hatred of mal, and well. it would have been an understatement to say that he'd been particularly eager.
he'd left her with a nasty stab wound in her leg. mal had left him with some nasty scratches in his face, so it wasn't as though he'd gotten out entirely unscathed. but still, he wasn't the one trying to haul ass before hades' dogs hunted him down. he was probably safe and sound in the one of the run down shops king beast had had constructed on the isle in the hopes that the villains would find themselves presented with capitalism and reform. so far, mal notes, this had done exactly jack shit, aside from giving the villains homes — generally, the villains tend to stick close to the shop in their name, hades being an exception. some of them even do have a kind of business going through these shops, but it's never the kind king beast intended. the queen of hearts runs a casino. lady tremaine runs a brothel. dr. facilier runs a black market for magical items that have made their way through the barrier.
“mal!” there's a shout from above her, and she looks up to see jay, running along the rooftops beside her. “are you bleeding?”
“what's it look like, dumbass?” mal snaps, in between breaths. hades’s dogs are catching up to her, and she can hear their howls. she'd always thought that the legends that they ate kids who didn't behave were bullshit that cruella kept spouting off to carlos until the dogs had caught some poor soul when she was ten. they'd torn him apart so badly that they couldn't even identify the body. she remembers the iron smell of the blood that lingered in the air. she remembers that the tang of iron that lingered in the air had made her cough up sickly-green blood for a week.
mal feels someone grab her and purple fear swells in her chest and threatens to swallow her whole. “wait! who are you? let me go!” mal snaps instinctively, trying to squirm away, before she realizes that it's just jay.
“thought you needed a little help, tanin,” he murmurs in her ear, his voice lilting into a slight purr as his nickname for her comes out of his mouth, and mal feels something unfamiliar curling like smoke in the pit of her stomach.
“yeah, yeah, don't brag about it already,” mal mutters, false annoyance in her tone. she has to admit, he's a lot faster than she was even while carrying her. the deep red, too, of jay’s worry is pressing in on her, but there’s something else there too, something bigger, something that presses down through mal’s chest where comfort rests and burrows underneath her ribcage, curling up like a cat. it feels comforting. it feels like home.
[LINE]
the first thing that mal notices in auradon is that jay has no shadow.
the second thing mal notices is that it’s as though a weight’s been lifted off her, and her magic grows under her skin, practically itching at her as it feels itself free from the anti-magic barrier for the first time. she longs to try it, but she knows she can’t. not here, not now. not in front of all these people.
the third thing mal notices is the overwhelming press of emotions all around her. the fear emanating from fairy godmother and her cohorts makes mal’s heart beat fast, and she has to resist the urge to pull the knife from her boot and keep everyone at arm’s length. she settles for wrapping her arms around her torso — a makeshift armor of her own flesh. the continual press of emotions that aren’t hers makes her weak, and makes her head ache as though she’s been drugged.
on her first night in auradon, mal sleeps like she's dead.

I heard this song on the radio and  idk why but this scene in my head
Tinkerer looks up from his work to look at Quentin who is staring off into the distance. The man seems to often be caught up in ideas. Part of his appeal honestly. Half the ideas Tinkerer had produced had come from Quentin’s absent-minded stares and violent dancing to musical numbers. Heck, most of the stuff they had made for that last mission for Chameleon had mainly come from some ideas of Quentin’s to appear more authentic. He thinks about the call he had gotten yesterday and decides to bite the bullet.
“Have you heard from Chameleon?”
He does wonder if he is the only one the man had tried to talk to. Quentin snaps back to focus, hand shifting to having a death grip on his pencil.
“No.”
Too angry and bitter to be the truth. Tinkerer had gotten used to reading his… well more than a colleague but saying friend feels like exposing a weak spot. But friend is the right word.
“Are you sure?”
“Tink…”
There is an aggravated noise mixed with the nickname that Tinkerer pretended to dislike.
“I have.”
Quentin stiffens, nose scrunching. One of the man’s tells for irritation and discomfort.
“You didn't agree to work with that hack, surely?”
There is a note of pleading.
“No. But eventually, you're going to need to talk through this. If not with me, then with someone else. And I would like to know if he has tried to contact you.”
“He hasn't. And if he had I wouldn't answer his sorry butt.”
“So he has.”
Tinkerer pushes, knowing all those violent dismissals of calls after Quentin had seen the caller ID had to be related to his suspicions. Quentin slaps the pencil down and stands, somehow making the movement grand and dramatic.
“One would think that a blocked number would be enough of a sign to leave a man alone. And yet he persists, spoofing numbers and texting me. Certainly, I have no desire to play along with whatever charade or ruse he has settled on this time. He has no right to just!!”
Quentin growls, cutting himself off and pacing. His hands twitch as his feet move across the floor; a caged tiger lacking anything to stalk. Tinkerer can understand where the pain comes from. Quentin had seen their trio as something more than just a few collaborative jobs. They had been a unit. A group. Friends even. And Chameleon had encouraged these ideas, accepting all the little gifts Quentin had gotten. Special gifts that all had little chameleon lizards or orchids that Quentin had bought simply because they reminded him of his “friend”. Tinkerer had a similar collection of skunks and tuxedo cats himself. Tinkerer had been the one to discover that all of those little gifts to Chamelon had been put into a dumpster near to their last hideout.
“I know. Have you talked to Montana?”
“No… I just feel like he’ll go away on his own. He didn't need me before. Why would he need me now?” Quentin scoffs, pausing long enough in his strides to shoot a look at Tinkerer. “You don't even like Montana! Why drag him into this situation? Which isnt even a situation!!”
“I'm not friends with Montana, no. But I know he takes care of business. And looks out for his friends and family.”
Quentin pauses at this. Ah, there it is the spark of a desire to be wanted and cared for. Something that Quentin entrusts to the oddest of people. With Chameleon, the mistake of trusting him is understandable. The man changed himself to be a reflection of what people wanted to see to feel safe. Montana seems much the opposite, too honest to clothe himself in a disguise for so long.
“Talk to him, Quentin. If this becomes a situation, I don't think we should strip ourselves of valuable resources.”
Quentin folds a little, arms crossing and head ducking down.
“Fine. And when nothing happens, I'm going to laugh at you.”
“I will gladly accept the mockery.”
