Hi hello hi. As an AroAce individual in a QPR who has no desire for a romantic or sexual relationship, I think shipping Alastor in QPRs is so so fun and people should do it more. I also think it works for a good amount if not all of the ships I've seen him in.
Alastor and Rosie: Hell yeah. They're already great friends and every interaction we've seen between them has been pure and adorable. Rosie Gently guiding Alastor through his identity because he isn't exactly up with the slang. Them going out for tea and human flesh Sunday afternoons. Them giving each other forehead kisses and holding hands platonically.
Alastor and Angle dust: Mhmm. Angle not really wanting Sex or romance after all he's been through. Angle respecting Alastor's identity and not pushing for anything more than friendship. Alastor not really liking Angle at first because of their differences, But tolerating him regardles. Alastor explaining to Angle that Romantic relationships don't have to involve Sex (I'm an Asexual Angle truther.) Angle offering Alastor a hug that Alastor reluctantly accepts. Them cuddling at night with a pinky Promise of nothing more.
Alastor and Vox: Go ahead. A fic about Alastor trying to Navigate exactly how he feels about Vox, Because when he died the term AroAce didn't exist, so he thinks it's romantic attraction, Maybe they kiss and Alastor is like "Ha! No!" Maybe that's why they had their falling out? Who knows.
Alastor and Lucifer: So So SO much Yes. (This is my personal favorite) The two of them hating each other, but putting up for each other for Charlie's sake. Slowly growing to actually tolerate and maybe even like being around the other. Exchanging snarky remarks in a more playful way. Alastor finding Lucifer sitting in a pile of ducks and despair and offering his hand to help him up and take him to the hotel. Never letting go of his hand. Fuck Enemies to Friends to Lovers I want an Enemies to Friends to Qpr arc goddamnit.
I do think it's okay to ship Alastor even outside of QPR's, BUT. If you do, don't just ignore Alastor's identity. AroAce people get far less representation than the rest of the LGBTQ+ community. I can think of one other canon Character off the top of my head. So it's not okay to erase the little rep we do get. In the end I think it's important to listen to what AroAce people have to say on the matter, it is our representation after all.
Ok i swear one last selfship art before I resume my commission works again :3 I want to change her hair up a bit and make her look just as smart as Utonium and oh my god Utonium in a black turtle neck is so 😳😳😳
Also timelapse undercut, this time I did press start during sketching process
People who just wing the color on the go during render instead of doing color blocking is actually crazy like how do you guys even know what color to put?? I need a crumb of your skill plssss 😭😭😭
Im just so excited thinking about painting my commission now hsjdhalaosjsk painting is always so fun for me :3
no bc i love how mac is the only one whose had a normal relationship and genuinely liked someone without any other motives and that it was a trans woman
yeah im glad she and mac didnt work out because of obvious reasons w the gang nd what they do to people, and that she's happy w her baby n husband
but it was cool seeing mac in early seasons genuinely like somebody and want to be serious with them. they were also in a genuinely healthy relationship from what we saw and what i can remember. the whole point in "mac fights gay marriage" is that hes upset carmens with another guy. mac doesn't actually give a shit that carmens trans, hes just mad he lost his chance with her.. the only reason he kept them a secret was because of what his friends would say about him genuinely being interested in a trans girl.
especially with early 2000s television, seeing one of the characters actually romantically interested with a trans character is really cool, they dont make a joke of her, you know? the problem always fell on macs issues with himself in the end
me when i write a character who is prone to dooming themself and then they run off and doom themself. core traits are stubbornness and a willingness to disregard their own humanity gET BACK HERE IM NOT DONE WITH YOU
Did your Ice and Mav like *genuinely* not care whether the other was flirting-with/sleeping-with other people on the side, during their golden-period in the nineties, when they were both working at Miramar: living in the same house, sharing their lives, raising their kid? ‘Cause Ice explicitly states that ‘he only wants it when the opportunity presents itself, but every other time he couldn’t care less: Mav could be fucking the little green men on Mars’, and Mav is all but catapulting Ice into the direction of any woman he thinks Ice might like, just hoping Ice sticks the landing. On the face of it, both of them seem to be operating under the implicit assumption that their life together is temporary, right up-til and even beyond Ice’s promotion to RADM, and his departure. But then, after Carole’s death, when their relationship has crumbled ‘round their ears, Ice does seem to be bothered by Mav’s in-your-face flirting with the waiter, and the radar-techs, and the WSOs, and the anonymous-individual he brought back home that one time, and Ice even thinks to himself, that it doesn’t matter whether that person’s a woman/a man, ‘cause I guess: either way, it doesn’t change the fact that Mav’s with someone who isn’t *him*. So, what I really wanted to know is: was Ice sub-consciously fooling himself, when he thought that he’d be *totally* okay with Mav finding someone else to be with—a woman/another man—or would he really have given Mav his blessings to move-on with someone else, made it easy for him, and quietly walked out of his life?
ice would’ve been fine if mav found someone else. like, good for mav. Ice HIMSELF would not have been fine. single for the rest of his life. he was too late to take the shot in settling down & getting married to a woman. Now, how do you explain to a serious womanly wife candidate the 10-year gap (during which you were fucking/falling in love with another man) between your last serious relationship & this one? And how do you explain the off-the-charts levels of fucked-up you are from this hidden decade-long sexual/romantic relationship that you literally can’t talk about without scaring off any potential date/fucking your career? this is a little cliche but mav has truly ruined ice for anyone else. not because he loves mav so much but because they are both sooooo fucked up, and for the exact same reasons and the exact same secrets, that theyre literally the only people on Earth who understand each other.
no neither of them care about the cheating/“open relationship,” because 1. Ice wishes it wasn’t happening/feels like he’s wasting mav’s time 2. Mav is down for anything (definitely suggested threesomes on multiple occasions) 3. they both KNOW 100% that they’re both so fucked up that at the end of the day, for better or worse, they’re coming back to each other. (the reason ice was such a mess during their breakup was because it was not eminently obvious they would come back to each other. and then where would he go?) And they’re completely exclusive post-getting-back-together (too old to have that much casual sex, and also finally figured out that they super-unfortunately only want each other) so whatever. also, i think in the 90s, mavs “let’s get ice a girlfriend” campaign was kind of like a tongue-in-cheek way for him to rib ice— “we still have to keep up appearances, but you KNOW you wanna fuck me more than any of the girls here. You KNOW it’s me you’re really going to be fucking tonight.”
Rosa, dealing with summer heat cowgirl style because at the time I was frying like bacon and what better way to cope than to let my oc fry with me. She looked more graceful about it than me. Anyways, tidbit of the day she is Amara's best friend, a supporting character who is a lawyer who ended up with another job that she had retired from. Well, when your godchild throws herself in harms away there's nothing you can do there but take back your part time-job. That godchild is Cori, she is her godmother, cause Amara and her have been friends for a LONG time they might as well be family. Overworked, tired, she actually is deeply unsatisfied with her lawyer job but she's terrified to make a switch. She's sweet, and while she can be genuine about it, its usually to mask her other traits. It all boils down to self-preservation, she ends up developing that due to being hunted down.
The next oldie is Lyka, I think he's a side character? I don't know I just know he acts as an antagonist to the main squad. He's human, but he's also a whole menace, he's a notorious merc(?) that specializes in in guns and fire. Has a mysterious mechanical arm, specially made for combat. Hence why when he's not on the job, it remains off. He don't like too much. Why is he awfully close to River in one sketch? Amoral game, flirtations. He's very flirty. It's actually a bit deeper, but I'm tinkering with it. River gets judgment from their best friend because of it.
Fun Lyka fact, he is bad with names do he gives a person a nickname he associates with them, the more nicknames the more it means he likes them, but it's also a sign of closeness as he'd put it he sees more sides to that person as they have for him. In turn adding and changing nicknames.
But he's never gotten close like that in a while, only a few times and well it didn't end well.
A River fact of the day, they have a golden antique coffee-machine that works, a reward for being employee of the month which they thought was some sort of sick prank, they still do. They have a problem with trying to take things as they are.
Fun fact for Rosa, she cannot cook to save her life. For reasons I cannot disclose she doesn't need to learn how, which is fine but now she is not allowed to be near the stove until she does.
don't take this too seriously bc there are Not enough clues for it and i trust that the show is well-crafted enough that there would be but. maybe coach ben not first intentional sacrifice but antler... king? and if you believe that it really is supernatural that's why there hasn't been a need for a sacrifice until now.
so. coach ben antler imagery -> he fucks off to javi's little den where apparently there is food enough to survive the winter -> javi dies. he's the only one who knows about the den (except maybe other taissa) so nobody else knows where ben is -> ben is presumed dead -> everybody survives until rescue. coach ben doesn't know and is still there -> the woods are satisfied bc they have ben -> present day. ben escapes or is found and rescued -> woods don't have a sacrifice anymore -> woods call the girls back
like i said though i don't actually think this is the case cause i feel like it would have been on the in-universe news if they found another yellowjackets survivor after all this time but it would be interesting
leander looks like the type pf bf who would be extra soft with his partner but get all serious when it comes to business. like my man is out here kissing you, feedjng you, pinching your cheeks, getting things for you essentially doing everything and all of a sudden he turns into “go get this, do this, balh blah blah” l
cant breathe over here. my vision is fading. my chest is tightening. YOU CANT JSUT LIST THOSE THINGS OFF SO CASULALY TO SOMEONE LIOKE ME.\! don't know if u guys know this but when i play our life i get cove to regularly give me piggy back rides. Im About to Cove This Guy. ? that sounds odd. BUT ITSSOO TRUE :( my guilty pleasure of Untouchable s/o of the leader and Thus Tangentially the trope of the big serious (leader) guy getting all soft w his s/o like yeah i'm special everyone move over LEANDERRRR im so sad im so sad Thank YOU. you're perfect.
Speaking of Sonic and Mario, I love the idea that Mario raised/adopted Sonic. I’ve seen a few fan art about it and I just enjoy it more than the basic rivalry stuff
i dont really think the idea of mario actually adopting and raising sonic makes much sense since we know for a fact that game sonic never had parents and raised himself and tails on his own BUT. i do love the idea of mario being like a dad/uncle figure to sonic its very good
Everyday I think about drawing young Chuck completely different from the show & acting like everything was normal like I didn't just caused folks mass confusion on wtf what/who I was drawing
