Happy Death Day

So I saw a fully dead au for Danny and got inspired and I’m about to make it y’all fucks problems.

If there was one thing the inter league agreed on, it was that they loved Phantom. Even though some would never admit it Batman the kid had a special place in all their hearts. He’d been there with them from the very formation of the team. The forever youngest amongst them always managed to cheer them up no matter what they were facing. That’s why when his death day rolled around again Flash had an idea. He wanted to do something special for the kid. Lord knowns he deserves it. The problem was what to do.

They had already learnt from a lengthy lecture from Constantine that u don’t gift ghost presents on their death days. It was seem as rude. So that ruled that out but it wasn’t the only option.

“Best thing you can do is pay respects at his grave.” John grumbled half awake after Barry finally managed to track the fucker down. “A big thing with ghost is being remembered and all that. So leave some flowers or some shit.”

“Sweet!! Thanks John.” And in a flash he was gone… and in another flash he was right back. “Wait do you know where his grave is?”

John looked at him flatly. “No idea.” Then slammed the door in his face.

Whelp, so much for this being easy. It didn’t matter to much however for the very next day was a league meeting. One Danny was off world for and so would miss. A meeting that was being held by the one man that knows everything! He’d surely know where Danny’s buried!

“I don’t know.”

The room went quiet as they all turned to the Bat. All in various states of shock over the fact he even knew those words.

Flash took a second to reboot his brain. “W-what do you mean you don’t know?!” Because surely not! Batman knows everything! How does he not know where the grave of one of his teammates are?

The man sighed, typing away at his computer before pulling up a file onto the larger screen for everyone to see. “Danny Fenton went missing in the 80’s at 14 years old.” A photo of the kid was enlarged. It was weird seeing him like this. With black hair and blue eyes. A healthy red flush on his face. He looked so alive. “A week later was the first sightings of Phantom. Years after, it was ruled a cold case.”

“And you just let it go?” Diana walked up beside them, glaring into the back of Batman’s head. “You knew that boy was probably kidnapped, most likely murdered and you let it go?”

“No.” As ever he didn’t seemed bothered by the accusation. “I asked Phantom. He didn’t say much but did assure me it wasn’t a murder. It was an accident and no one was at fault.” The silence that took over the room this time was different. Full of melancholy. They all knew Danny died. Dead young at that. It was another thing to hear this. One by one each of them coming to haunting realisation that if his death was never report, he most likely died alone.

“So what else have you found?” For the first time in this whole conversation, Bruce turned to glare at Clark. “Oh come on Bats. Your, you! You wouldn’t leave it at that. So what else did you find?”

For most the sigh he gave would have sounded the same as the others but to those in the room, those that knew him so long, they could hear slight embarrassment at getting called out. He turned back to the screen, pulling up a list of names and a map. “Nothing much. I’ve searched the area around Amity Park and couldn’t find anything. I have a list of family members and friends to question but.” He trailed off.

“But Batman can’t look into this.” Canary continued for him. “If you were to start poking around a 30 year old cold case people might figure the connection back to Phantom.” Batman nodded with a grunt.

Seemed they reached another dead end. Maybe he would have to think of a different way to celebrate Phantom’s death day after all.

“Well,” Flash turned his attention when Supers spoke up again. “Batman might not be able to. But Clark Kent can.” Everyone’s eyes turned to him. “I mean I am a reporter. I can say I’m doing a passion project on old cold cases or something.”

“Oh yeah!” Hope filled Barry’s smile. “I can help to!”

“But your a chemist?” Diana cut in.

“A forensic chemist! Who better to help with cold cases than a guy that works in criminology?” The others were reluctant to admit he had a point.

They all knew Bruce enough to know his next sigh as one of exhaustion. Without a word he printed the list of names and contacts for the two, knowing there was no stopping them now.

“Sweet!! Thanks bats!! Let’s go!” The page was pulled from Barry’s hands before he could make a run for it.

“Hold on.” Clark stopped him while looking over the list. “It’d probably be a good idea to give them a call first. Ask if they’re even willing to answer questions.”

He deflated. Annoyed by how much sense that make. “Alright then.” He grumbled.

It didn’t take as long as he expected to get a response. The first two were from Sam Manson and Tucker Foley, only hours after Clark sent them an email. They were Danny’s best friends and the last people to see him alive. Unfortunate, the response was ‘no’. One using a lot more colourful language than the other but a no all the same. It was a two days later they got another response. This one from Dr Jasmine Fenton, Danny’s older sister. This time it wasn’t a no.

That what lead them here. In the waiting area of Dr Feton’s office. “You think the long wait is to psych us out?” Barry asked as it approached the hour mark.

Clark didn’t look up from his magazine as he responded. “Don’t think so little of her. She’s really busy.”

“Oh no, that’s not me thinking little of her.” He picked up one of the fidget toys on the table next to him. “She’s a psychologist, a top psychologist. This is totally her trying to psych us out.”

“Mr Clark, Mr Allen.” They looked over to the door that opened to their right. A tall, red haired woman stood with half a foot in the doorway. “Sorry for the wait. Come on through.” 

The office was really not what they expected. Rather than the clean, professional look that Canary has this office had a more welcoming feeling. It’s large armchairs and sofa paired with a light green rug made it look more like a seating room if you ignore the desk in the corner. “I apologise for having this meeting at my office. It was the only time I could fit you in.” Jasmine sat on the armchair closest to her desk, inviting the others to seat where they please with a wave at the over chairs. “Now, you wanted to talk about Danny?”

“Yes,” Clark sat up. “We have been wanting to look into cold cases for a while, as a passion project. Seeing if we can find out more and maybe even get some answers. When we saw Danny’s case it seemed like a good one to start with.”

She gave a hum of acknowledgement. “And why would that be? I understand that some people have a fascination with old cases but Danny disappeared over 30 years ago. Plus there has been nothing found since then. If your goal is to solve the case then I’m sorry but I don’t really think that would be possible.” 

“Well you never know until you try.” Clark smiled back. “And we plan to publish our findings as well. So even if we don’t solve it someone, perhaps who knows more information or can find new information, can.”

His words really didn’t seem to have the effect they were hoping for. Rather than looking hopeful at the idea of finding out what happened to her brother, Dr Fenton face took on a stone cold look.

“Mr Clark.” Barry was really happy he stayed quiet in this. Even without the dead tone turned at him, he still felt weirdly intimidated. “I am here talking with you in my free time, as myself not a psychologist. So I’m gonna to drop all pretenses and be blunt.” She learnt forward on her chair. Despite the fact that she was still seated, the two heroes were suddenly reminded of the fact that Jasmine was 7’1. They also learnt that the intimidation was intentional. “Why should I tell you anything if you have not said a single honest word since you stepped through my door?”

Barry looked at Clark for answers but got non. It was quite shocking to see the seasoned journalist and part time superhero at a loss for words. In fact Barry had never seen it before at all. He turned back to Jasmine’s cold gaze as she stared them down before shaking her head. “If that’s all. Ill have to ask you to-“

“We want him to be remembered.” Clark looked over as Barry said the words before he could even think them. “You’re right. This case is cold. There’s no way we could solve it but that doesn’t mean he should be forgotten.” He took a breath as his eyes met hers. Her face was still blank but in a less cold way. More neutral than silent rage.

“Danny was a kid. A good kid. A kid that most likely died alone and scared and…” he looked down the hide the tears in his eyes. He didn’t like thinking about how Phantom died. Didn’t like to think about how the happy, brave, strong kid just died. Alone, hurt and scared. It broke his heart. “He deserves to be remembered.”

For a moment all that was heard was the ticking of the wall clock. Clark glanced between the two, Barry stilling looking down whereas Dr Fenton looked off to the side. A moment more passed before Jazz sighed in defeat. “Our parents were scientist. Though, no one took them seriously.” She leant back in her chair, pulling her glasses off to rest them on her head. “It made sense, I mean. They studied ghost. Even if their inventions were amazing, especially for the times, no one took them seriously.”

Barry looked up, giving her his full attention as she sighed again. “They thought that if they could just get proof. Physically proof that ghost were real, that they lived in the dimension right next to ours, that people would finally believe them.” She looked over to a small cabaret, tucked into the corner of the room. “So, they tried to build a machine. One that would give them proof. They built a portal to that world.”

Clark was stunned. Inter dimensional travel was something the leagues still struggled with today. If they had been successful, way back in the 80’s they really must have been ahead of the times.

“It didn’t work though, not at first.” Barry was enraptured by the tale as his mind went faster that his feet did most days. What did this have to do with Danny? Why was she telling them this? The more he thought the more he started not likely the conclusions he reached. “Then one day, about 2 weeks after the failure, Danny’s friends were over and wanted to have a look. We lived in a small town, you see. The crazy scientists were the most interesting thing that towns seen in years.” She huffed out a bitter laugh.

“Danny went with them. While our parents  were never the best at lab safety, we did still know the basics.” A cold dread washed over Barry. Images of a different lab, of different lacks safety regiments came to mind. “When they wanted to have a look in the portal, he said he wanted to check it out first. Make sure it was safe. So put on a hazmat suit and went in.”

He felt sick. He always found it kind of weird that Danny wore a strange suit. Had assumed that because ghosts can alter their appearance that Danny had simply chose to wear a suit like them. It never really fit though. The suit didn’t look like theirs. To loose fitting. Made of rubber instead of spandex or Kevlar.

“Then he tipped… and it turned on.” Clark’s breath hitched in his throat. Whatever he was expecting, it wasn’t this. “I ran down when I heard Sam and Tuck screaming. They were hysterical. Took about an hour to calm them down enough to understand what happened.” She sniffed as tears pooled at her eyelids.

“We thought maybe he was just somewhere else. I mean it was a portal, there had to be another side. Somewhere Danny ended up. I guess we were right in a way. Just not the way we wanted.” Jazz sighed as she looked down at her lap. “We didn’t want to get in trouble, didn’t want Danny getting in trouble when he got back. So we said he just disappeared. Hoping he’d show up again and it be fine.” She voice cracking as her lip trembled. “Then Phantom showed up and I just knew. I knew that was Danny.”

She looked up at the two, a pleading look mixed with her grief. “Then mom and dad attacked him. They thought ghost were evil and I… I was scared. I didn’t know what they would do if they knew it was Danny. I didn’t know.”

Clark leant forward to place a hand on the woman’s knee. “You were a kid too. You were just doing what you thought was right.” His soft words seemed to calm her as she wiped her tears.

“I know. I know that now but sometimes.” She sighed again. “Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better if they knew. If Danny could have gotten the send off he deserved.”

The three sat there for a moment. Sorting through their emotions when one thought resurfaced in Barry’s mind. “Did you ever… find his body. You said it was a portal right? Does that mean?”

Jazz shook her head. “No. Maybe if he had just walked through it or died next to it but.” She looked over to the cabinet again. “The portal opened on top of him. Through him. There was nothing left to find…”

The three sat in the silence for a moment. Barry didn’t know what to think other than just absolute heart brake. What he had learnt from John about ghost came to mind, how important graves were, how important being remembered was. All these things that Danny never got.

“Did he ever have a funeral?” The info Bat’s gave them didn’t mention one but there was still a chance. Whatever small hope Barry had was shattered as Jazz shook her head. She sighed, before standing and walking over to the cabinet.

“Mom and Dad refused to believe he was gone. They thought a ghost took him for some reason.” She scoffed. “We did the best we could for him. Sam, Tucker and I.” She opened the cabinet to show a shrine of sorts. Danny’s photo sitting next to a small vase of flowers, a toy rocket ship sitting between them. “It never felt like enough though.”

Barry walked up beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder. An idea beginning to form. “Well, we can change that.”

It was good to be back. Don’t get him wrong, Danny loved going on space missions. I mean, it was space!! But earth would always be his home. Plus, he managed to make it just in time to. Letting out a happy chip, he flew through the walls of the watch tower into the main meeting room.

“Happy death da- where is everyone?” They should be here. For years now, ever since the league learnt of death days, they made it a priority to be at the watch tower to celebrate with him. So where was everyone?

“Just in time Danny!” Looking off to the side he saw flash. Well, Barry he guessed, as the man was out of uniform. “Come on, we’re gonna be late.”

“Late for what?” He asked as the speedster grabbed his hand and lead him to the Zata tubes.

“A surprise! Just for you.” Barry smiled, really hopping Danny did like this and he hadn’t made the wrong decision. A bright flash later and they were stepping out into the streets of Amity. A car waiting for them just ahead that Barry coaxed Phantom into.

Danny had no clue what was going on but just decided to enjoy the ride. Looking out the window at his haunt. The closer they got to the destination the more people he spotted. Dash and Paulina, Wes and Mikey even Mr Lancer were all there. Dressed in black and heading to the same place.

“It’s alright if you want to stay invisible for this.” Barry’s voice pulled his eyes way from the window. “Or if you want to reveal yourself, that’s fine to.” He smiled at the kid.

“I still don’t know what ‘this’ is.” He gestured as the car parked.

“You’ll see.” Was the only response he got. Deciding to be safe, he turned invisible as he followed Barry out of the car and into the graveyard. A small flicker of hope building in his chest.

It was a hope he had given up on a long time ago. When it became clear his parents would never accept the truth. He tried to push it away. Not wanting to face the hurt and disappointment again. Part of his wanted to leave, not wanting to sit through someone else getting what he never did. Just as he was thinking that however, they came up to the gathering of people and he saw it.

A closed coffin above an empty grave. Flowers adorning every part of the lid around a single photo frame. A frame with his face on it. Tears weld in his eyes as he looked at the photo, then to the people around him. There was so many of them. His old classmates, grown with some of them having their children standing beside them. His neighbours stood off to the side next to a woman he recognised as the owner of the corner shop near his school. The now retired directive he followed years ago when the man investigated his ‘disappearance’. A man, which he now recognised as one of the kids Jazz used to babysit, stood with his wife. All of them mingling amongst each other and various league members. A icy breath drew his eyes up, revealing hundreds of ghost, hidden from human eyes. Old enemies and friends alike all gathered around. Johnny and Kitty, boxy and lunch lady, even Skulker was there.

As he fought to hold back his sobs a voice cleared from beside the coffin. Looking over he saw his sister standing at the head of it in a black dress suit. Sam to her right, looking right at home in her gothic inspired funeral gown and Tucker on her left, tugging at his uncomfortable tie. A hush fell over the crowed as everyone turned to Jazz as she began to speak.

She spoke of him. Of his life. Tears weld in her eyes as a bitter sweet smile graced her face. She spoke of the boy who wished to see the stars. Of the brother she lost to soon. The one she will always hold in her heart and memories for the rest of her days.

Danny sat on the coffin, His coffin, as he listened. A wobbly smile on his lips and tears ran down his face as he listened to her. He sat and listened as Sam stepped forward and spoke as well, then as Tucker did the same. A sense of peace, one he didn’t know he was missing, came over him as he heard their goodbyes.

He looked over the crowd as the speeches came to an end. His eyes finding Bruce, tucked away in the back with sunglasses on. They must have had thermal vision as Bruce was able to meet his eyes. A small nod was given to the young man. While Bruce wouldn’t reveal someone else secret, he trusted Danny to make his own choice.

Look back at his sister and friends. He knew the choice he had to make. With barely a thought he dropped his invisibility. Hushed gasped was heard throughout the crowd as the thing they all suspected was confirmed. The ghost child that had save all of them more times than they could count was the very child all of them had knew. The boy so many of them felt they had failed was the same as the boy that had protected them for decades.

Their hero was their Danny.

Jazz smiled through her tears at her brother. Her arms lifted in a silent invitation that he quickly accepted. Flying into his sister’s arms as his core sung out in joy. A breeze chilled the air as snow began to fall.

Pulling away from his sister, he caught sight of a covered stone behind her. Seeing what had got his attention, Jazz stood to the side as Sam removed the black cloth draped over it.

It was beautiful. Black stone polished to a shine with white flecks scattered about it in a way they reflected the night sky. On the face of it, caved with the utmost care was his name, along with a simple message.

‘Gone but never forgotten.

Fly high, Danny.’

Getting Started with Audio Design in Embedded Systems

Adding audio capabilities to embedded systems can make a big difference in the user experience, whether you are creating home automation, wearable, or industrial devices. Even just simple sound prompts or alerts can improve user interaction considerably.

This article takes you through the ways embedded devices process, store, and play back audio—without getting too involved in the subjective realm of "sound quality."

Audio Begins as Analog

In the real world, sound is analog. That is to say, any audio we wish to record and play back must first be converted from analog to digital—because embedded systems process digital data.

This conversion to digital involves two important parameters: sampling rate and bit depth.

Sampling rate is the number of times the sound signal is recorded per second. The Nyquist-Shannon Sampling Theorem states that your sampling rate needs to be a minimum of twice the highest frequency sound you'll be recording.

Bit depth is the degree of precision with which each of those sound samples is recorded—more bits = more detail, but also more memory consumption.

A real-world example: Telephone audio uses just 400–3400 Hz bandwidth, far lower than the full range of human hearing (20 Hz to 20 kHz), yet it’s good enough to understand speech and even recognize a person’s voice.

Choosing the Right Bit Depth

Bit depth specifies how much volume each audio sample can represent. For instance, an 8-bit sample can have 256 levels, and a 16-bit sample can have 65,536.

In embedded systems, ADCs (Analog-to-Digital Converters) accomplish this task. But the usable resolution in practice is usually a bit less than what's on the datasheet because of such imperfections as noise and signal distortion. A useful rule of thumb: deduct 2 bits from the advertised bit depth to arrive at a realistic expectation (e.g., use a 12-bit ADC as if it were really 10-bit).

Storing and Compressing Audio

Most embedded systems keep audio in PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) or WAV format. Both are straightforward and convenient but tend to use a lot of memory space. For example, CD-quality audio at 44.1 kHz with 16 bits of depth can occupy more than 700 KB for a single second of mono sound.

To conserve space, programmers usually:

Compact audio using MP3 (although this needs more processing power).

Pre-process the sound to restrict bandwidth and dynamic range through software such as Audacity.

Lower the sampling rate and bit depth to accommodate the hardware's capabilities better.

In the event of a limited processing power, external decoders can decode MP3 files in order to remove the workload from the primary processor.

Playing the Audio

Once the audio is ready, it has to be converted back to analog for playback. This is where DACs (Digital-to-Analog Converters) come in. PCM data goes directly to a DAC, while compressed formats need to be decoded first.

You’ll also need a low-pass filter after the DAC to remove high-frequency noise caused by sampling. If your system handles stereo output, you’ll need two DACs and filters.

Alternatively, many microcontrollers use I2S (Inter-IC Sound)—a digital audio protocol designed for efficient transmission of stereo sound using just three wires. I2S is flexible with sampling rates and bit depths, making it ideal for embedded applications.

Amplifying the Sound

Whether using DAC or I2S, the output signal is too weak to drive a speaker directly. That’s where audio amplifiers come in.

There are three main types:

Class-A: Great quality, but inefficient—rarely used in embedded systems.

Class-AB: More efficient, commonly used in chip form.

Class-D: Highly efficient, compact, and perfect for embedded devices.

Class-D amplifiers work by converting the signal to PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), then driving a transistor (like a MOSFET) on and off rapidly. This approach saves energy and reduces heat.

Just like with DACs, a low-pass filter is needed to clean up the output before it reaches the speaker.

Speaker Output

The sound is produced by converting the electrical signal into motion, and that motion is used to drive a coil that's suspended from a diaphragm. Depending on your application, you might require different kinds of speakers, such as woofers for low frequencies or tweeters for high frequencies. High-fidelity systems tend to use both for improved sound quality.

What’s new in this release?

Aspose team is happy to announce the new release of Aspose.Html for .NET 17.12.0. In this version of the API, Aspose team has made significant improvements to the processing of CSS styles and HTML to PDF conversion feature. Furthermore, it has also made some internal bug fixes and enhancements, related to z-index and page splitting algorithms. An overview of the improvements and changes is given in the release notes of Aspose.Html for .NET 17.12. According to z-index positioning specifications, z-index specifies the stack level of the box in the current stacking context as well as whether the box establishes a stacking context. In Aspose.Html for .NET 17.12, Aspose team has improved z-index positioning algorithms so setting position property of an element to “absolute” value will place the element correctly without an overlapping of content. Since the inter file format conversion has been the most attractive feature of the APIs offered by Aspose,  It has fixed some internal bugs related to formatting in HTML to PDF/XPS conversion(s). In previous version(s) of Aspose.Html for .NET, it was observed while converting HTML into PDF/XPS, that the resultant PDF/XPS file(s) used to have some formatting issues. These issues were identified as miscalculation of Colspan width with incorrect processing of CSS styles and have been fixed in Aspose.Html for .NET 17.12. Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) – The Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008. In this article, we will discuss specific partner topics, LLP formation, partners and relationships, and their level of responsibility and partner contribution. Financial Audit / Disclosure, LLP Foreign, from Legal Element relating to Partnerships and LLP from CSEET Legal and Business Environment Subject.

ESTABLISHED PARTNERS [PART 7]

The LLP must have at least two “Named Partners” who are natural persons, and at least one of them must be “Indian Residents.” If one or more of the LLP partners is a legal entity, at least two persons who are partners in the LLP or have been appointed to the agency must act as “named partners.”

“Resident in India” is a person who has lived in India for 182 days or more in the previous year.

Nominated partners are responsible for complying with the provisions of the LLP Act.

Nominated partners must obtain a Nominating Partner Identification Number [DPIN] from the central government.

The DPIN assignment application must be submitted online on the LLP website together with the necessary supporting evidence, which is properly certified and certified as required.

LLP STORAGE [SECTION 11 TO 21]

The process of entering an LLP is similar to entering a company under the Companies Act 1956. Applicants must first register with the Registrar of Companies [ROC] to maintain the name. After the ROC has approved, LLP inclusion documents must be submitted.

The name of each curriculum must end with the words “Limited Liability Partnership” or “Lifelong Learning.”

Names that are unwanted or closely resemble partnerships or other LLP companies or brands are not permitted.

Any legal entity (legal entity / registered partner company) whose name is similar to the name of the LLP, which was subsequently established, can apply for changes to the LLP’s name within 24 months from the registration date LLP through the ROC.

No person may run a company with a name/title that includes the words “Limited Liability Partnership” or “Lifelong Learning” without correctly identifying it as LLP under the LLP Act.

LLPs must submit LLP agreements ratified by all partners to the ROC within 30 days of commencement of the LLP.

PARTNERS AND RELATIONSHIPS AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES [SEC 22 TO 31]

The joint rights and obligations of the inter-LLP and LLP partners and their partners are governed by an agreement between the partners or an agreement between the LLP and its partners. If the agreement does not exist, collective rights and obligations are governed by the Lifetime Learning Law.

1.     For LLP business purposes, each LLP partner represents the LLP but not of the other partners.

2.     As an independent legal entity, LLP is responsible for all of its assets, while the liability of LLP partners is limited to their agreed participation in the LLP.

LLP is not tied to anything a partner does when communicating with someone if –

The partners are not authorized to act for LLP in carrying out certain actions

The person knows they have no authority, or they don’t know or believe they are LLP partners

LLP is responsible for the LLP partner responsible for illegal acts/omissions during LLP business activities / with his / her authority. LLP’s obligations, whether contractual or otherwise, are LLP’s only obligations. The LLP characteristics must cover LLP obligations.

Partner is not personally responsible for LLP obligations simply because he is an LLP partner.

Neither partner is responsible for the illegal acts or omissions of another LLP partner, but the partner is personally liable for his illegal acts or negligence.

The liability of LLP and affiliates found to have acted intending to defraud creditors or for fraudulent purposes is limited to all or part of LLP’s debt or other liabilities. Termination of employment for reasons such as resignation, death, dissolution of the LLP, assertion that someone is unreasonable, filing for bankruptcy, etc. is only effective if –

The man notices that his partner has stopped acting this way; or

Notification of termination has been sent to

The resigning partner may send a termination notice if he or she has reason to believe that LLP has not sent this termination notice.

PARTNER CONTRIBUTIONS [PART 32 AND 33]

Partner contributions to LLP capital may include:

Tangible, movable, or immovable property

Intangible assets

Other benefits for LLP include cash, promissory notes, executed or pending service contracts.

The partner’s obligation to contribute in accordance with the agreement on lifelong learning.

Creditors who make loans or act on the obligations described in the Lifetime Learning Agreement without regard to compromise between partners can impose initial obligations on that partner.

AUDITS / FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES [SECTIONS 34 AND 35]:

The LLP maintains a mandatory ledger in relation to its affairs in cash or accrual form and is subject to a multiple entry system.

Every LLP account must be audited, except in the following situations:

When the conversion does not exceed Rs. 40.00,000 / – in each financial year; or

If the dues do not exceed Rs. 25.00 000 / –

The central government has the power to exclude some LLP classes from mandatory auditing. LLPs are required to submit the following documents to the ROC:

Accounts and solvency statements within 30 days from the end of 6 months of the financial year;

Annual returns within sixty days of end of financial statements

ACCESS AND TRANSFER OF PARTNERSHIP RIGHTS [SEC.42]

The rights of partners to receive a portion of LLP profits and losses and to receive distributions under the LLP Agreement are transferable in whole or in part. Such transfer of rights does not lead to separation of partners or termination and termination of the LLP. Such assignment does not by itself entitle the recipient or successor to participate in the administration or conduct of LLP activities or to have access to information about LLP transactions.

FOREIGN LLP [PART 59 AND RULES 34]

When setting up a place of business in India, an overseas LLP must submit the required ROC registration documents within 30 days of incorporation in India.

Any changes to the constitutional documents, address of the head office abroad, and foreign curriculum partners must be submitted to the ROC in the prescribed form within 60 days from the end of the fiscal year.

Any changes to the LLP overseas registration certificate, agency in India, and main office in India must be submitted to the ROC in the prescribed form within 30 days of the change.

Foreign LLPs who no longer have a place of business in India must notify the ROC in a prescribed form within 30 days of their intention to close the place of business and from the date of notification of the overseas LLP’s obligation to apply for a place of business documents in the ROC, notification will be granted unless there is another place of business in India and all documents must be filed at the time the notification has been submitted.

The elementary OS 6 beta version has released

Elementary OS 6 beta version has released with its codename Odin for developers to try and do testing and experiments. The elementary team has been performing on these updates for one year currently, giving us a peek of all the new updates and features coming to the new release in their blog now that the beta releases out. I'm really excited to check out all those new features in a live system now.

The elementary OS 6 relies on Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) it uses Xorg as its default display server rather than Walen that several alternative distros are using in 2021. elementary is conversant in its pantheon desktop environment.

Installation of Beta Version

I don't recommend anyone use these bleeding-edge Early Access builds on their day-to-day laptop as there may be possibilities of breaking problems due to the nature of early development. Beta releases are snapshots of Early Access builds once the developer platform has stable. At this time, I like to recommend solely developers begin building and testing their apps on this elementary OS.

I still caution against using beta releases on your daily driver. (better to use on USB Flash)

For previous versions of elementary OS, the installation was handled by ubuntu's installer however now elementary has teamed up with the System-76 team to form a fresh installer that shares the identically simplified yet elegant design aesthetic of elementary OS. At the top right, we have a power button for things like our reboot, shutdown, user account settings, lock screen, and all such things. The notification center has been fully modified with a replacement of the notification server; it currently shows separate bubbles for every notification beneath the notification menu.

On the desktop we have a simple right-click option where we can change the wallpaper, can go into the display settings and the system settings. At the bottom of the screen, we have a dock which is fulfilled by plank and if we go control right click and go straight into the preferences it's pretty much a standard plank installation apart from you don't have the option to do the icon zoom or zoom on hover on elementary OS theming.

Another new setting that enables you to more personalize the desktop is that the new accent color possibility under the appearance tab. In the settings app section where there are many changes some classes are fully redesigned as an example the about category is replaced by a system that provides you information on system hardware and computer firmware with links to update the system. The HIDPS scaling under display setting currently provides us an extra 3x scaling possibility for a better resolution screen and of course, the desktop category has a lot of changes in appearance, and the dock all are redesigned to add new features and the hot corners are replaced by a multitasking tab.

Conclusion:

elementary OS 6 beta version has released solely for developers and not for users. The final stable release of elementary OS is yet to come, this is often the beta release for developers and still contains few bugs and there are several broken things so I’m not providing any review on the performance facet. Major changes you can expect during this release are Dark Theme, Flat Pack for App center, Fonts and Typography, Stylesheets, Multi-Touch Gesture, and few package changes besides some swish appearance and feel. Utah Code 30-3-11.3: Mandatory Educational Course For Divorcing Parents — Purpose — Curriculum — Exceptions

1) The Judicial Council shall approve and implement a mandatory course for divorcing parents in all judicial districts. The mandatory course is designed to educate and sensitize divorcing parties to their children’s needs both during and after the divorce process. 2) The Judicial Council shall adopt rules to implement and administer this program. 3) (a) As a prerequisite to receiving a divorce decree, both parties are required to attend a mandatory course on their children’s needs after filing a complaint for divorce and receiving a docket number, unless waived under Section 30-3-4. If that requirement is waived, the court may permit the divorce action to proceed. (b) With the exception of a temporary restraining order pursuant to Rule 65, Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, a party may file, but the court may not hear, a motion for an order related to the divorce until the moving party completes the mandatory educational course for divorcing parents required by this section. 4) The court may require unmarried parents to attend this educational course when those parents are involved in a visitation or custody proceeding before the court. 5) The mandatory course shall instruct both parties: a) about divorce and its impacts on: I. their child or children; II. their family relationship; and III. their financial responsibilities for their child or children; and b) that domestic violence has a harmful effect on children and family relationships.

6) The course may be provided through live instruction, video instruction, or an online provider. The online and video options must be formatted as interactive presentations that ensure active participation and learning by the parent. 7) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall administer the course pursuant to Title 63G, Chapter 6a, Utah Procurement Code, through private or public contracts and organize the program in each of Utah’s judicial districts. The contracts shall provide for the recoupment of administrative expenses through the costs charged to individual parties, pursuant to Subsection (9). 8) A certificate of completion constitutes evidence to the court of course completion by the parties. 9) (a) Each party shall pay the costs of the course to the independent contractor providing the course at the time and place of the course. A fee of $8 shall be collected, as part of the course fee paid by each participant, and deposited in the Children’s Legal Defense Account, described in Section 51-9-408. (b) Each party who is unable to pay the costs of the course may attend the course without payment upon a prima facie showing of impecuniosities as evidenced by an affidavit of impecuniosities filed in the district court. In those situations, the independent contractor shall be reimbursed for its costs from the appropriation to the Administrative Office of the Courts for “Mandatory Educational Course for Divorcing Parents Program.” Before a decree of divorce may be entered, the court shall make a final review and determination of impecuniosities and may order the payment of the costs if so determined. 10) Appropriations from the General Fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts for the “Mandatory Educational Course for Divorcing Parents Program” shall be used to pay the costs of an indigent parent who makes a showing as provided in Subsection (9)(b).

11) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall adopt a program to evaluate the effectiveness of the mandatory educational course. Progress reports shall be provided if requested by the Judiciary Interim Committee. What is Parent Education and why do some States Require It? Divorce is not easy on the parents or the children. Families have increasingly relied on the courts to resolve divorce issues and problems including child custody, visitation, child support, paternity, emergency protective orders, and restraining orders. As a result, courts have found that parental conflict related to divorce is a societal concern because children suffer potential short-term and long-term detrimental economic, emotional, and educational effects during times of family transition due to divorce. To address this concern, many courts have decided to mandate parent education classes.

What States Require Parent Education Classes?

Seventeen states require all divorcing parents, regardless if the divorce is uncontested, to attend some form of parent education class: • Alaska • Arizona • Connecticut • Delaware • Florida • Hawaii • Illinois • Massachusetts • Missouri • New Hampshire • New Jersey • Oklahoma • Tennessee • Utah • Washington • West Virginia • Wisconsin Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Virginia require all parents filing a contested divorce to attend a parent education class. The rest of the states either leave it up to the judge’s discretion or only mandate parent education classes in certain counties or judicial districts. Topics covered in parent education classes include: • The issues and procedures for resolving time-sharing and child support disputes. • The emotional experiences and problems of divorcing adults. • The family problems and the emotional concerns and needs of the children. • Family relationships and family dynamics. • Financial responsibilities to a child or children. • Issues regarding spousal or child abuse and neglect. • Skill-based relationship education that may be generalized to parenting, workplace, school, neighborhood, and civic relationships. • The availability of community services and resources.

• Higher self-esteem • Higher grades • Fewer behavior problems • Reduced drug and alcohol use • Reduced early sexual activity Benefits The Parenting after Separation and Divorce program aims to: • provide for the best interest of the child or children in family disputes; • assist in increasing people’s understanding of the issues by providing information about the available options for resolution, legal issues, child support, custody and parenting; • provide information that assists in promoting consensual conflict resolution methods that lead to long-lasting resolution of issues; and • reduce the number of family matters that return to the court for adjudication or variation. The program is carried out over two three-hour sessions or one six-hour session. The following topics are covered: • Stages of Separation/Divorce • Options for Resolving Disputes • Children’s Reactions to Divorce/Separation • Children’s Developmental Stages • How to Make Family Changes Easier on the Children • Pre and Post Separation Relationships • New Relationships These sessions are facilitated by social workers, mediators and or educators.

Kids whose divorced parents have a cooperative relationship: • Feel secure: When confident of the love of both parents, kids adjust more quickly and easily to divorce and new living situations, and have better self-esteem. • Benefit from consistency: Co-parenting fosters similar rules, discipline, and rewards between households, so children know what to expect, and what’s expected of them. • Better understand problem solving: Children who see their parents continuing to work together are more likely to learn how to effectively and peacefully solve problems themselves. • Have a healthy example to follow: By cooperating with the other parent, you are establishing a life pattern your children can carry into the future to build and maintain stronger relationships. • Are mentally and emotionally healthier: Children exposed to conflict between co-parents are more likely to develop issues such as depression, anxiety, or ADHD.

Improve Communication with Your Co-Parent

Peaceful, consistent, and purposeful communication with your ex is essential to the success of co-parenting even though it may seem absolutely impossible. It all begins with your mindset. Think about communication with your ex as having the highest purpose, your child’s well-being. Before having contact with your ex, ask yourself how your actions will affect your child, and resolve to conduct yourself with dignity. Make your child the focal point of every discussion you have with your ex-partner. Remember that it isn’t always necessary to meet your ex in person speaking over the phone or exchanging texts or emails is fine for the majority of conversations. The goal is to establish conflict-free communication, so see which type of contact works best for you. Co-parenting communication methods However you choose to have contact, the following methods can help you initiate and maintain effective communication: • Set a business-like tone: Approach the relationship with your ex as a business partnership where your “business” is your children’s well-being. Speak or write to your ex as you would a colleague with cordiality, respect, and neutrality. Relax and talk slowly. • Make requests: Instead of making statements, which can be misinterpreted as demands, try framing as much as you can as a request. Requests can begin with, “Would you be willing to…?” or “Can we try…?” • Listen: Communicating with maturity starts with listening. Even if you end up disagreeing with the other parent, you should at least be able to convey to your ex that you’ve understood their point of view. And listening does not signify approval, so you won’t lose anything by allowing your ex to voice his or her opinions. • Show restraint: Keep in mind that communicating with one another is going to be necessary for the length of your children’s entire childhood if not longer. You can train yourself to not overreact to your ex, and over time you can become numb to the buttons they try to push. • Commit to meeting/talking consistently: Though it may be extremely difficult in the early stages, frequent communication with your ex will convey the message to your children that you and your co-parent are a united front.

Utah Code 30-3-11.3: Mandatory Educational Course For Divorcing Parents — Purpose — Curriculum — Exceptions

1) The Judicial Council shall approve and implement a mandatory course for divorcing parents in all judicial districts. The mandatory course is designed to educate and sensitize divorcing parties to their children’s needs both during and after the divorce process. 2) The Judicial Council shall adopt rules to implement and administer this program. 3) (a) As a prerequisite to receiving a divorce decree, both parties are required to attend a mandatory course on their children’s needs after filing a complaint for divorce and receiving a docket number, unless waived under Section 30-3-4. If that requirement is waived, the court may permit the divorce action to proceed. (b) With the exception of a temporary restraining order pursuant to Rule 65, Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, a party may file, but the court may not hear, a motion for an order related to the divorce until the moving party completes the mandatory educational course for divorcing parents required by this section. 4) The court may require unmarried parents to attend this educational course when those parents are involved in a visitation or custody proceeding before the court. 5) The mandatory course shall instruct both parties: a) about divorce and its impacts on: I. their child or children; II. their family relationship; and III. their financial responsibilities for their child or children; and b) that domestic violence has a harmful effect on children and family relationships.

6) The course may be provided through live instruction, video instruction, or an online provider. The online and video options must be formatted as interactive presentations that ensure active participation and learning by the parent. 7) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall administer the course pursuant to Title 63G, Chapter 6a, Utah Procurement Code, through private or public contracts and organize the program in each of Utah’s judicial districts. The contracts shall provide for the recoupment of administrative expenses through the costs charged to individual parties, pursuant to Subsection (9). 8) A certificate of completion constitutes evidence to the court of course completion by the parties. 9) (a) Each party shall pay the costs of the course to the independent contractor providing the course at the time and place of the course. A fee of $8 shall be collected, as part of the course fee paid by each participant, and deposited in the Children’s Legal Defense Account, described in Section 51-9-408. (b) Each party who is unable to pay the costs of the course may attend the course without payment upon a prima facie showing of impecuniosities as evidenced by an affidavit of impecuniosities filed in the district court. In those situations, the independent contractor shall be reimbursed for its costs from the appropriation to the Administrative Office of the Courts for “Mandatory Educational Course for Divorcing Parents Program.” Before a decree of divorce may be entered, the court shall make a final review and determination of impecuniosities and may order the payment of the costs if so determined. 10) Appropriations from the General Fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts for the “Mandatory Educational Course for Divorcing Parents Program” shall be used to pay the costs of an indigent parent who makes a showing as provided in Subsection (9)(b).

11) The Administrative Office of the Courts shall adopt a program to evaluate the effectiveness of the mandatory educational course. Progress reports shall be provided if requested by the Judiciary Interim Committee. What is Parent Education and why do some States Require It? Divorce is not easy on the parents or the children.
