Look, I know it's supposed to end badly. But I need to admit that in my head, they declared a mutual "fuck this shit" to the world and society. Packed all the stuff they could one late night and escaped to a remote open plain in the middle of some thick woods where they spent the rest of their lives healing and living freely in nature.

I've been having a lot of intense feelings about them as well. The tragical elements are so baked in to their story and setting, it's hard to imagine a happy ending for them. But every now and then I find myself thinking of scenarios and AUs where they both live and grow old together. For coping purposes, I suppose.

I've been thinking for a while that tumblr seems to be more dead than usual and it's... starting to get concerning? I'm looking at the pride, lgbt, etc. tags and even in the top tab most post have less than 1k notes, which is crazy for the "queerest place on the Internet". Tags from fandoms get the "I'm trending" thing but then you take a look at the latest posts and most of them have barely any notes and the top posts are from a couple of days or even weeks ago. Drawings don't get that many notes unless they are from both popular accounts and/or popular fandoms and even then the notes pale in comparison to what the same drawing gets on twitter... Maybe if I already was in a stable community/net of mutuals I wouldn't mind the inactivity so much but when you're trying to make friends this sucks a lot ngl!

This is the meat of a section that I find perplexing that discusses the financial issue of the Salem area as a result of the Xavier school and mutants taking up residence in the area.

This is also displaying the very normal bigotry that is common in real life as opposed to the heightened bigotry of Marvell comics. This isn't a world where Sentinels roam the streets. It's the same world where deformed and disabled children are locked away from "Polite Society."

This is a reference to a specific X-Men comic set right after Secret Wars. Uncanny X-Men issue 138. However, you'll notice from this description, that Loman only mentions Piotr and Logan. Kurt is completely absent.

This is also the second and last reference to Juggernaut. Cain Marko doesn't appear further in this story. Knowing what we do about Xavier's alias from his time in Haifa, maybe Cain was in Westchester after hearing about what kind of fucked up things his stepbrother was up to. Resulting in a drunk Logan and Piotr beating the shit out of him.

I'm pretty sure it would have been somewhere around what we know as Vojvodina today, and Vojvodina is really diverse, it's a melting pot basically, so it does make sense. And the Cyrillic they used was Serbian as some people on Reddit pointed out.
