I woke up this morning feeling spiritually paralyzed. I did not want to wake up or move, and was feeling overwhelmed by all that I need to do today while feeling this way. I asked God “what is wrong with me?” I heard in my heart; “Come and sit with me and listen.” And so I did. And He wrapped His arms around me and squeezed me tight with all of His Words. 🩷🩷🩷 Then His Words breathed life into my soul.
God’s love is so deep and wide and constant - it is unbreakable and unending - it is everlasting. His faithfulness is beyond comprehension.
I was reading this morning in Judges 10, and verse 16 says that God “became impatient with the misery of Israel.”
Not impatient with Israel - but impatient with their misery - it was HIS misery to see them in misery! And I was melted.
So I followed the chain references and, which led me to Judges 2:18 and Isaiah 63:9, which also led to Isaiah chapters 63, and then all the way to 66 and I could not stop smiling.
Because as often, and as hard, as Israel turned away and worshipped other gods, whenever they cried out, He came running, like a softhearted mama to pity them, forgive them, and rescue them from their enemies.
“He remembers that we are but dust.” (Ps 103:14)
“In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the Angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.” (Isaiah 63:9)
I’m going to put all the scripture references here in case you want to read them sometime. These are the passages that hugged me tight.
🩷
Judges 21:8
Judges 10:16
Isaiah 63:9
Isaiah chapters 63-66
Psalm 107
🩷
The Words of these passages made me feel loved, safe, cared for, and carried.
There is nothing that can stop His love, not even our own falling. Not our own illnesses, our own sadnesses, our own troubles of every kind.
He comes and scoops us up and rescues us - even from a mess of our own making - And how much more will He rescue us from even the mess that others make?!
Nothing can separate us from His Love and Nothing will keep us from His rescue. Nothing.
He cares when we are hurting no matter the reason.

to all the mothers who are single-parent, to the mothers who lost a child, to the mothers who are expecting, to the mothers who work 9-5 and 5-9, to the mothers who stay at home, to the mothers in ministry, to the mothers who go to church, to the mothers who make their home a church, to the mothers who aren’t mothers yet, and to the women who don’t want to be mothers, to the women who take care of the foster children, their adopted children and siblings, to the mothers who passed away, and to the mothers who are living it one day at a time; to the black mothers, the white mothers, the mixed mothers, the Asian mothers, the Caucasian mothers, to all the mothers of the world. I pray and uplift you on this day; you are loved, and special, and appreciated, and joyful to God everyday!

The Divine Name is the only place in the Hebrew Bible where Shaddai is rendered as Almighty; every other use of the word denotes the female breast or, more precisely, breasts... It may also be significant that the ancient Egyptian verb shdi means to suckle, and we also have the testimony of William Foxwell Albright, who noted that the Akkadian shadu(m) can carry the meaning of either breast  or mountain and concluded that breast was the primary meaning and mountain a derivative...
Shaddai appears six times in Genesis, always in the context of blessing and fertility... Blessings, especially blessings of fertility, are, in most polytheistic pantheons which include female deities, the province primarily if not wholly of the goddesses... In Genesis 49:25, we have the only dual use of the word, as the Deity and explicitly as breasts... When the Deity blesses through Shaddai, it is with blessings of womb and breasts, blessings of fertility and nurturance, through a female vehicle...
In Isaiah 49:15 and 66:7-9, we find G*d speaking of G*dself as a Mother... E*l Shaddai, it has been suggested, may be a very ancient deity, even pre-Patriarchal, “which was incorporated into [patriarchal] religion.”
Shaddai: Deity of the Breasts by Rabbi Zev-Hayyim Feyer

"Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.”
Isaiah 59:1-2
People often complain that God doesn’t hear their prayers, especially when God does not respond in the way they would like. But He can hear, all right! “He that planted the ear, shall he not hear?” He even hears our thoughts. “Thou knowest...my thought afar off” (Psalm 94:9; 139:2).
It is not that God cannot hear, but it may be that we have not met the conditions for answered prayer so that He will hear. Probably the most important of these conditions is obedience to His Word. “If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you,” said Jesus, “ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).
But, “if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:3).
There are other conditions, of course. “Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering” (James 1:6). “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do,” said Jesus (John 14:13). “If we ask any thing according to His will...we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him” (1 John 5:14-15).
Even if we do meet all the conditions, however, He may not answer immediately or in the way we prefer, and He might even answer no. After all, He knows better than we just what is best for us, and He will see that “all things work together for good” for us if we truly “love God” (Romans 8:28).
But, first of all, we need to check our lives in relation to His Word. Then, “if our heart condemn us not...whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments” (1 John 3:21-22).

August 27, 2024 - Exhortation
The enemy would love to abort the promises of God in His people right now by baiting us into discouragement, disillusion, faint-heartedness, offense, apathy, and selfish ambition. Any of these can lead us down a path to miscarry the promises of God.
When a woman goes into labor she is taught to breathe. We can do this spiritually by meditating on Christ. We fill our lungs with His breath by focusing our thoughts on Him and following the lead of the Holy Spirit.
"For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God." (Romans 8:19)
Many Believers are getting ready to birth. The Holy Spirit and angels will be your coaches to help you successfully birth. God is getting ready to birth the next stage of your Christ calling. Again, the Lord is reminding us:
"'Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?' says the LORD. Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?' says your God" (Isaiah 66:9).

"Meekness is an unchangeable state of mind, which remains the same in honor and dishonor. Meekness consists in praying calmly and sincerely for a neighbor when he causes many turmoils. Meekness is a rock overlooking the sea of anger, which breaks all the waves that dash against it, yet remains completely unmoved. Meekness is the buttress of patience, the door, or rather, the mother of love, and the foundation of discernment, for it is said: The Lord will teach the meek His ways (Psalm 24:9). Meekness prepares us for the forgiveness of sins; it is boldness in prayer; an abode of the Holy Spirit. But to whom shall I look? Even to him that is meek and quiet. (Isaiah 66:2). In the hearts of the meek the lord finds rest, but a turbulent soul is a seat of the devil."

A GODLY SORROW
9 NOW I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, BUT THAT YOUR SORROW LED TO REPENTANCE. FOR you were made SORRY in a GODLY MANNER, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.
10 FOR GODLY SORROW PRODUCES REPENTANCE LEADING TO SALVATION, NOT TO BE REGRETTED; But THE SORROW OF THE WORLD PRODUCES DEATH.
11 FOR OBSERVE THIS VERY THING, THAT YOU SORROWED IN A GODLY MANNER: WHAT DILIGENCE it produced in you, WHAT CLEARING OF YOURSELVES, WHAT INDIGNATION, WHAT FEAR, WHAT VEHEMENT DESIRE, WHAT ZEAL, WHAT VINDICATION! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter."
2 Corinthians 7:9–11 (NKJV)
Tumblr media
* A godly sorrow would lead to a genuine repentance. There are two types of sorrows mentioned in the above Bible passage (2 Corinthians 7:10):
a. The Godly sorrow that produces or leads to repentance.
b. The sorrow of the world that produces death.
- The two types of sorrows could be seen In the betrayal of Jesus Christ. Two of His Disciples betrayed Him, and both were sorrowful or remorseful for what they did. The sorrow of one led to repentance, whilst the sorrow of the other person led to death.
- Both the Judas Iscariot and Simon Peter betrayed Him.
a. When Judas realizes what he did, he was sorrowful, and he took the money he collected from the high priest and the council to them, but his sorrow led to death—he went from that restitution to commit suicide (Matthew 27:3-5).
b. However, when Simon Peter realizes that he had betrayed the Lord, he wept sorrowfully (Matthew 26:69-75; Luke 22:54-62).
- Jesus is willing to receive back whoever misses it. No matter how worst whatever the person had done is, If he or she returned to Him, He will still receive them back. Only do not think that you had offended Him beyond a reconciliation (Luke 15:18-24).
- The story of prodigal son illustrated this clearly. When the prodigal son came to himself, when he realizes where he had missed it, he said he would arise and go back to his Father and he did exactly that. Meanwhile, his father's Heart also had been longing for him (Luke 15:11-24).
- God is willing to receive back Whoever has gone astray. No matter how hideous or disgusting what you had done may have been, He would still receive you back, If you could come with a remorseful and a repentant Heart (Psalm 34:18; 51:17; Isaiah 66:2).
* The Corinthian's godly sorrow that produced a repentance in them, which led to a number of things: "FOR [you can look back and] SEE WHAT AN EARNESTNESS AND AUTHENTIC CONCERN THIS GODLY SORROW HAS PRODUCED IN YOU: WHAT VINDICATION OF YOURSELVES [against charges that you tolerate sin], WHAT INDIGNATION [at sin], WHAT FEAR [of offending God], WHAT LONGING [for righteousness and justice], WHAT PASSION [to do what is right], WHAT READINESS TO PUNISH [those who sin and those who tolerate sin]! At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in the matter" (2 Corinthians 7:11 (Amps).
* The New Living translation put the passage, 2 Corinthians 7:11, Thus:
"JUST SEE WHAT THIS GODLY SORROW PRODUCED IN YOU! such EARNESTNESS, such CONCERN TO CLEAR YOURSELVES, such INDIGNATION, such ALARM, such LONGING TO SEE ME, such ZEAL, AND such A READINESS TO PUNISH WRONG. YOU SHOWED THAT YOU HAVE DONE EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT."
a. The Corinthians believers were more diligent or earnest, having authentic concern after being remorseful (2 Corinthians 7:11).
b. They were indignant at Sin. They were no longer relishing or tolerating Sin.
c. They would not want to offend God again. They had the fear, reverential fear, of not offending Him.
d. They had the long or zeal; hunger and thirst for righteousness and justice (Matthew 5:6).
e. Passion to do what is Right was birth in them. They were longing to live holy, live for God and not to the self, to please Him (1 Peter 1:15,16; 4:1,2).
f. They had the readiness to discipline those who were wrong (2 Corinthians 10:6).
* A true Godly sorrow should lead to a change of heart that manifested in a change of Character.
- It is nowadays that you see those who professed to be believers living in blatant Sins without any remorse. Such might even be one of the church workers, the work force, in his or her local church. Some are even ministers, preaching or teaching others.
- There are a lot of hypocrisies in the church today. Would a preacher or Teacher not preach or teach himself or herself?:
21 YOU, THEREFORE, WHO TEACH ANOTHER, DO YOU NOT TEACH YOURSELF? YOU WHO PREACH THAT A MAN SHOULD NOT STEAL, DO YOU STEAL? 22 YOU WHO SAY, “DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,” DO YOU COMMIT ADULTERY? YOU WHO ABHOR IDOLS, DO YOU ROB TEMPLES? 23 YOU WHO MAKE YOUR BOAST IN THE LAW, DO YOU DISHONOUR GOD THROUGH BREAKING THE LAW? 24 FOR “THE NAME OF GOD IS BLASPHEMED AMONG THE GENTILES [the unbelievers] BECAUSE OF YOU,” AS IT IS WRITTEN" (Romans 2:21-24 NKJV).
* Some Believers are entrenched in a particular Sin, they found it difficult to come out of it.
- Whenever they committed the Sin, they would be remorseful, but after a while they are back in the same act (2 Peter 2:22).
- Godly sorrow should lead to a genuine repentance. If you actually wanted to be free from the hold of that particular Sin, you might need to confide in someone who is mature spiritually, to help you. The person would be able to counsel you, and break the hold of the Sin through Prayer and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 10:27).
- The hold of that Sin might be an initiation. Especially if it was a sin of immorality. Whoever is bound and entrenched in the Sin of immorality and claimed to be born-again, It is always an initiation.
- The sinful partner whom the person is bound with, whom they are commiting the Sin together, is usually a person with demonic power.
THE initiation is always done through sexual relationship. And this might be difficult to break loose from with physical strength, since it involves the activities of a demon or demons.
- If what is being shared here is your experience or what you are going through presently, I want to enjoin you to confide in your pastor or a minister of God who has the understanding of the operations of the kingdom of darkness.
- Also, take a bold step and stay away from the person, the sinful partner. If you live in the same place, you may have to move to another place temporarily until your deliverance is done and made perfect.
- However, If your own case is not as severe as what we have just shared here, that is, you do not perceive any demonic involvement in yours; you just go ahead and cofess your Sin and break away from whoever you are commiting the Sin with (1 John 1:9).
* I declare your freedom, your deliverance, in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is contrary to your health is completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
* Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

Cal rolls past North Texas 58-21 a day after getting word of switch to ACC from Pac-12
DENTON, Texas -- — California coach Justin Wilcox says he and his players spent “about seven seconds” talking about the school's impending move to the Atlantic Coast Conference before the season opener.
There's still a season to be played in the Pac-12, and it started nicely for the Golden Bears.
Jaydn Ott rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns, Isaiah Ifanse scored three times and Cal beat North Texas 58-21 on Saturday, a day after the Golden Bears agreed to join the ACC.
Cal (1-0) was playing about 40 miles from SMU, another ACC newcomer along with longtime Bay Area and Pac-12 rival Stanford.
“It’s significant,” Wilcox said. “We pay attention to it, but the team, we don’t have a lot of control over any of that. What we can control is practice and performing. When the news broke about the ACC, it was good news, but we talked about it for about seven seconds.”
On the day the ACC invitations became official Friday, the Golden Bears were at the headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys making final preparations for their first opener at a so-called Group of Five opponent since Air Force in 2004.
Cal was a 56-14 winner in that game in Colorado, and outgained UNT 669 yards to 225 while scoring the final 31 points in this one. The Golden Bears held the Mean Green to 9 yards after halftime in their highest-scoring game since 2015.
Stone Earle had three TD passes but was intercepted twice in the debut of North Texas coach Eric Morris and the first game for the Mean Green (0-1) as members of the American Athletic Conference, the league SMU will be leaving. UNT just left Conference USA.
Ott ran 41 yards on Cal's first play to set up Sam Jackson V's 23-yard scoring pass to Jeremiah Hunter. The sophomore ran 66 yards for a 27-14 lead in the second quarter after a 4-yard TD run late in the first.
Ifanse broke several tackles and kept churning in a pile inside the 5 on a 26-yard scoring run before an 8-yard score for a 33-21 lead 7 seconds before halftime.
Jackson started in his Cal debut after transferring from TCU, another Dallas-Fort Worth school, but was injured in the first half and replaced by Ben Finley, who threw for 279 yards and a TD. Wilcox didn't offer any details other than saying Jackson had an upper-body injury.
Two of Earle's TDs tosses were to Ja'Mori Maclin, who set up the first UNT score with a 58-yard catch before scoring on a 59-yarder. Maclin averaged 30.5 yards per catch (122 yards, four receptions) after finishing second in the country last year at 24.7.
“We've got to eliminate the explosive passes,” Wilcox said. “We've been talking about that a long time. It's simple in concept. Not easy to do. The other team schemes. They have good players, too.”
LONG ROAD BACK
Cal defensive tackle Brett Johnson started but didn’t record a tackle in his first game in almost three years. The junior missed the past two seasons with injuries.
Wilcox noted Johnson caused a holding penalty that stalled UNT's first possession, and the Golden Bears scored after the punt. Cal never trailed.
“In warmups, I love seeing No. 90 out there,” Wilcox said. “And when we take the field on defense, I love watching No. 90 jog out there, as does everybody else on our team. You better believe it, we're all kind of, internal fist pump.”
UP NEXT FOR THE BEARS
Auburn makes its first trip to Berkeley next Saturday. It's the first visit from an SEC team since Mississippi in 2017.

Do You Believe in the Son of Man?
They answered him, “You were born entirely in sins [from head to foot], and you [presume to] teach us?” Then they threw him out [of the synagogue]. Jesus heard that they had put him out [of the synagogue], and finding him, He asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” — John 9:34-35 | Amplified Bible (AMP) The Amplified Bible Copyright © 2015 by The Lockman Foundation.
