In Stranger of Paradise Vigilia Court is a level that references FF15, and might be said to be doing a great job at it.

The name "Vigilia Court", with Vigilia meaning an eve before the event or period of sleeplessness, at the same time suits Jack's condition at that point in the story and is a naming with a meaning similar to "Insomnia."

Gameplay of the level, destroying generators to remove barriers reminds FF15's gameplay, especially of Episode Ardyn's, with a giant surrounded by generators referencing Towers with Guardians.

A garden that appears mid-level might be referencing garden in Citadel that appeared in Brotherhood anime.

Names of locations on the level seem to reference some things that might've got into FF15, "Hall of Chosen Ones" referencing "Hall of History" and "Gate to Betrayal and Salvation" - possibly Somnus, and Noctis' sacrifice, while "Garden of the Light Thief" something that didn't.

With the Citadel being one of two the most close locations to Chaos Shrine and in a way looking like a modern take on it, it might make wonder might the Citadel be "Chaos Shrine" for its own world, with "Garden of the Light Thief" somewhat adding to it.

The first 2 out of 3 tracks that play during the level, aside from numbers of all 3 on soundtrack album conveniently summing to numbers from 13 to 15, as reference to FF15, somewhat in connection with "Hall of Chosen Ones", might be referencing the Prophecy Noctis had to fulfill.

The last track might be interesting from 2 standpoints, music and story-related.

From music-related, as stated in its name, "Will You Resist or Accept?" has the same motif as "Somnus." "Somnus" and "Almighty Bhunivelze" might have the same motif, as "Somnus" is/would've been about Bhunivelze. "Will You Resist or Accept?" in a way might be combining the two, retaining slow tempo of "Somnus," but adding an element of circular motion that's present in "Almighty Bhunivelze," which might better heard if to speed it up.

From story-related point, like with the name of the level, the track's name might reference both Jack and FF15, since the choices might be somewhat similar.

As reference to FF15, while Resist/Accept appear as the two choices in FF15 with Verse 2 in Ignis' and Ardyn' Episodes. In that order they might refer to the difference between FF13 and FF15 in regards to fate and the God, where FF13 takes the route of Resist, while FF15 to Accept.

Somnus: How do they sleep (how well, how long for, what position, etc.)?

Jack sleeps best without clothes on, and usually knocks the blankets half-way off in his sleep. Living alone has it's perks. He tosses and turns in his sleep, usually switching between which side he's sleeping on, but sometimes unfurls onto his back. He doesn't sleep too well, waking a couple times in the night during more stressful periods in his life, and this is usually after having an evening patrol as Creeper.

Creeper isn't usually the one fronting when sleep happens. During its time at the front while they were in an in-patient facility run by Dr. Strange, it was bound in restraints or in a straight jacket sitting up in a corner. Now, free and able to front occasionally during sleep, like while staying at the Hall of Justice, Creeper prefers to sleep on its belly, with its arms tucked under its head like a pillow.

"--What? O'course! 'Twas the only shite pirates like that'd give you up for." Waving for him to follow, she set off at a brisk walk back towards the Rogues' guild. "Let's not talk 'bout what you discovered 'til we're safe."

Jacke wasn't around when they arrived back at the guild, so the pair had sat down to discuss what Nok'to had learned while waiting on his return.

"Qiqirn pushin' somnus! Shite, I never would've thought o' somethin' that daft. But m'sure the Yellowjackets'll appreciate th'tip." Brow furrowing now, she tapped her chin with her finger as she looked thoughtful. "You don't have family in Limsa, do you? Might want t'consider movin' them away as soon as the arrests go out if you do."

Because even if the other Bloody Executioners hadn't been in on the scheme, a few of them might seek revenge. Nok'to could handle himself, but criminals liked to go after loved ones as an extra twist of the knife.

It worried him, the concept of possibly having to continue this charade beyond the immediate conversation. While he'd managed to navigate this conversation, he struggled to imagine what the next might be without Meiko there to help, especially if it went on for a longer period than this one did.

He was already worried about escaping from this conversation, much less the next one! Or if there was another one after that! The very thought made his stomach lurch.

Now, what was worse was when he heard steps, followed by Abarwyrn's growl—a sorry excuse of one, rather. The man was no Hrothgar.

"Aye, m'not hear t'interrupt yer wee meal—"

Blue eyes went wide, almost owlish when she grabbed him by the shoulders and a panic went through him when she clarified why.

The waitress—who he was positive hated him for his earlier comments—had sisters. At first, Nok'to assumed she was suggesting they intended on killing him. It would've been believable, would've made sense.

Until she continued and mentioned triplets.

"Triplets?!"

Nok'to leapt from his seat, fueled more by anxiety than interest, but he couldn't let Solvarr or Abarwyrn know that.

Pretend to be excited, pretend to be excited, pretend to be excited--

"What're we waitin' around here for, 'en?!"

Quicker than she had come to him did he leap to his feet, grab her wrist and tug her away in the same direction the waitress had disappeared from the sight of their table.

"I'll see ye soon, boys, got business ta take care o' right now!"

There was a hoop, a holler, a mutter that sounded oddly like one of them wondering if "he'd ever even seen a pair o' tits".

And he hasn't, of course, unless his ma counted when he was still nursing or his brother when he still had chests as flat as most boys'.

As soon as he was out of sight, had yanked Meiko out of earshot—which wasn't far given which of them had the big ears, as it were—he said, "Please tell me that last part was a ploy...!"

Of course it was. Obviously. But that hardly stopped Nok'to's nerves from lighting at the mere thought. After all... triplets? Triplets?!

Does your OC have a notable respect for their elders? Do they believe that older people have the wisdom of experience? Or do they tend to think that older people have just had longer for their stupidity to become ingrained?

Nico Bright: Growing up, she was very respectful of her elders because that’s just part of culture. You respect your elders or else. It was those Southern Manners hard at work. Now she takes what she hears with a shaker of salt. Yeah, there’s people who have wisdom of experience and they share it. There’s also a ton of people spewing the stupidest shit known to man as fact. Making it to an old age is as much luck as anything else. Then getting to be around Politicians and Rich People, most tending to be toward elder age, just cemented that actually these people are stupid, selfish cunts. Now she gives basic respect but anything deeper comes from them proving it.

Javi Reyes: He’s a former Catholic Boy from Colombia; Respect Your Elders was ingrained in him from conception. Between the ongoing bioterrorism trauma and living in America…he’s gotten fantastic at questioning his elders, superiors, and really everyone and thing. He listens to people like Chris, Barry, Carlos, and Jill, who all have first hand experience fighting BOWs, but with the others it's a mountain of salt. Yeah, that's what the protocol says but is this feasible in the field? Other people are really just pickled in their stupidity.

Atanasija Kralj: Well, it was a bunch of old politicians who basically signed Edonia over to the Soviets…so there’s been some deep dislike there from the get-go. A long life doesn’t mean a good or kind life. It just means they got lucky at not dying sooner. Now, there are people she does respect absolutely but they’ve all proven themselves first. There’s no blind belief or respect from her, well ever.

Vren Avitus: She’s a darling who offers everyone respect because that’s what you do. There’s no extra special respect for her Elders versus those in her age bracket. It got her in trouble a lot growing up. Because some people think they deserve absolute obedience as “respect” since they’re older. When she’s older it works in her favor because that level of equal fairness and understanding makes people trust her. Some people are very older and very wise from it; Cid Sophiar for example. Others are very old and full of rancid ideas; Mors Lucis Caelum, Somnus Lucis Caelum, etc.

Fe Cataegis: Her Granny spent a long time coaxing her into at least pretending to be respectful to her elders. This was part of a bigger problem where she tended to be disrespectful right out the gate if the other person was. So, it wasn’t really an Elder Problem as much as a “Everyone Problem”. Prodigious combat medic skills or not, she wouldn’t get to do jack if she didn’t get better bedside manner. It got fixed enough but privately she thinks a lot of old people just let the stupid freeze over. They could better themselves but choose not to.

Well of course Somnus is gonna sniff Jack and Egg. Why wouldn't he? Of course with him being so big Egg probably gets slightly smooshed but it's done with love. Once Somnus is done sniffing, Callisto also sniffs Egg. Thankfully he's no longer pink.
