Everyone who thinks Criston Cole failing upwards is unrealistic in House of The Dragon needs to look at Halotus the food taster who had Emperor Claudius die on his watch (from poison ⁉️) and retained the food taster job under -> Nero and then when Nero died he somehow got a promotion to procurer under -> Emperor Galba like Criston is nowhere near the failure big leagues he needs to start accidentally killing more people and gaining even more promotions

my mind has been developing this delusion world in which tywin lannister was the mad king’s sugar baby. aerys was “vain, proud, and changeable, traits that made him easy prey for flatterers and lickspittles” (awoiaf p.190). upon becoming king, he fired his father’s older and wiser hand and named tywin in his place, making tywin the youngest hand in the entire history of the seven kingdoms, but how did we get there?

there were childhood friends. tywin served as a page in court and we know from genna that tywin mistrusted laughter due to hearing too many people laughing at his father. at this point in time, the lannisters were a laughingstock or at least tywin wholeheartedly believed this, so the subsequent friendship he makes with the crown prince thrusts him upwards in status and into higher scrutiny. tywin is the elder, but aerys is the prince. they spend years together with the established dynamic of aerys being the one with power and tywin (albeit his friend) his servant. it is only when tywin dares to step outside this master/servant dynamic aerys has cooked up, that they begin to fall apart.

they go to war together. aerys chooses tywin, a newly made knight, to knight him. this was the war of the ninepenny kings, he could have chosen gerold hightower. he could have chosen roger reyne, or any number of distinguished knights and commanders, but no he chose tywin who had likely just been knighted himself. for added context, during this war tywin’s father stayed at home with his mistress rather than taking to the battlefield. nearly a year later, aerys is crowned and tywin is named hand of the king. as hand of the king, tywin is allowed any expense, any decision, literally allowed to do anything he wants at aerys’ leave (up until their toxic breakup era).

something that always fascinated me within this was why after gaining power of his own merit and name does he make his father’s mistress do a walk of atonement? at first, i believed this to be a way to embarrass his father further from the grave and cement his notoriety. however, right after he forces the walk of atonement, aerys and tywin rule the kingdom from casterly rock for a year (awoiaf p.194). if we believe that tywin has a subconscious or conscious shame in regards to using aerys’ fondness for him (whether you want to see it romantically or not) for seize of power and political gain, the walk of atonement is so interesting as it is a public self-flagellation of a transactional relationship that he himself mirrors. it is after this very act that aerys holds court (and tywin) at casterly rock, the scene of the crime in a sense. here tywin is, like his fathers mistresses in the same very home, flattering and bootlicking the same man for money, influence, and power. it is only after this year in casterly rock where tywin is forced to reconcile with these similarities that their relationship dissolves.

in conclusion, tywin was playing sugar baby to aerys and their relationship soured when tywin decided he wished for power that was truly his own rather than through aerys.

Also as a life update, I got into my dream school! yippee!🥳 I’m studying to be a Radiology tech, and I start June 1st. I’m going to be doing this for 2 years straight with little to no breaks, so I probably won’t have any time to write for the Street Fighter 6 fandom like I used to.

So for anyone who wants to request anything for SF6, go crazy in my inbox. I’ll answer all of them the best I can until May 31st.

But after that, I will be on Hiatus for 2 years until my program is over. Boo. I’ll still reblog sf6 content on here but I won’t be as active.

the red card is the highest distinction a player can get during a game of FOOTBALL. it is similar to what the americans call a purple heart i believe. it means the player slayed so much that he actually has to be eliminated from the field in order to keep the game fair otherwise he would transcend to a higher level of consciousness and overpower everyone else in a mighty display of terror and violence.

for this reason he is not even allowed to go back to the bench. he has to move his still-earthly body immediately back to the changing rooms and wait out the rest of the game there. scientists believe that by isolating him from the roar of the crowds he will become grounded again, re-tether himself to his human form and prevent ,,, The Ascent

Solar Opposites: The Ultra Opposites: Ophelia’s Last Attack Pt. 1 (for @avaveevo )

Nightfalls on GeenasDavisville as the whole town are asleep. But, Ophelia has other plans as she sees Korvo sleeping with Terry lovingly as he cuddles with him.

Ophelia: That’s right. Sleep well tonight humans of Earth. For it’ll be the last sleep you ever know.

Ophelia sprays nightmare dust on the humans, except for the Ultra Opposites, which was missed by a long shot. One night, in the wall, Korvo and Terry were busy helping with the Wallians until, suddenly, they heard a scream.

Human Korvo: What the fuck was that?!

Human Terry: I don’t know. Let’s go find out.

The two husbands rushed over and see a wall woman having a panic attack.

Human Korvo: What happened?

Montez: A woman had nightmare that she was attack by a monster that knows about her deepest fears. Another wallian had a nightmare that Ophelia was mayor.

Wallian Woman #5: And I had a nightmare that I was fighting an army of croissant robots and I was able to save my husband in time. crying as her husband comforts her

Human Korvo: Hmm. Something is definitely wrong. Don’t worry, I know who can help us!

Korvo uses his watch to contact Janiz, who researching with AISHA AND EVA. Then, they see an incoming transmission on the Jumbotron.

EVA: What the fuck is that?

Janiz: I don’t know. presses the communication button Hello?

The Jumbotron opens up the communication from the Wall as Janiz gasp.

Human Korvo: Janiz! It’s me! Korvo!

Janiz: Korvo?! Thank God! I was wondering where you and Terry might be this whole time. The kids were worried about you!

Human Korvo: Don’t worry. It’s okay. We’re fine. Right now, we need your help. Get to the kids’ room, I’ll explain everything!

Meanwhile, at school, Yumyulack and Jesse was wondering why the kids are looking at their new rings.

Human Jesse: Uh, what is going on? Why are the kids acting strange?

Human Yumyulack: I don’t know.

Daryl: Babe! Thank God I found you! Something is wrong with our teachers and the rest of kids. They had all had nightmares last night, except for Miss Frankie and Principal Cooke.

Human Jesse: Huh? Yeah, Sonya did tell me she had a bad dream where she is attack by Ophelia. Something strange is going on.

Miss Frankie and Principal Cooke then look at each other and decided to follow the kids. Meanwhile, at Kevin’s house, Kevin’s Wife started to have a panic attack.

Kevin: Hey honey, are you okay?!

Kevin’s Wife: No! I’m not okay! I just had a bad dream where I was in a dark forest surrounded by monsters!

Kevin: What?! But, I didn’t have bad dreams.

Back in the Wall, while Cherie was feeding Pezlie, she then notices the Wallians watching a video on their rings.

Cherie: What the fuck? Why is everyone acting strange.

Suddenly, voice communications came up. The Wallians open the video as it pops from their rings. Cherie then notices something wrong with the video as it grows static.

Ophelia: disguised voice Hello. I hope you all have been reading this but the Ultra Opposites have gone rogue.

Human Korvo and Human Terry: What?!

Montez: No they didn’t.

Ophelia: So I beg of you now. Activate the alliance rings!

Wallian Man: Okay.

But once the Wallian presses the button, he has turned into a foot soldier that looks like Ophelia’s body armor. The Wallians are terrified as they gasp in horror.

Human Korvo: Oh my God! Take these rings off! It’s a trap by Ophelia!

Cherie: What?! Pezlie gets taken out of her arms Pezlie!

Pezlie starts crying as it was witness by Terry and Korvo who gasp and quickly turns back into their normal Shlorpian selves and hid behind the wall.

Korvo: Don’t worry Cherie, we’ll help!

Korvo and Terry transforms into Legendary Super Shlorpian and Solar Flare as they use their powers to help save Pezlie.

Cherie: Hurry guys! Save my baby!

Terry/Solar Flare: On it! Fire power! uses his fireballs to hire the soldier as he screams in pain

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: transforms into his Super Shlorpian form Eat this! Bitch! uses his ice breath to freeze the soldier’s legs

Cherie: Mommy’s coming Pezlie! uses her super martial powers to help Pezlie as a cherry-pink color Blaze beam appears from her legs

Suddenly, Ophelia tranquilizers Korvo while Terry wasn’t watching and Korvo faints to the ground.

Ophelia: whispering Finally! I got you now!

Ophelia grabs Korvo and takes him away. Cherie then manages to take the ring off the soldier as it turns back into a normal Wallian. The Wall People cheer as Cherie smiles and kisses Pezlie on the cheek.

Terry/Solar Flare: Wow! Cherie really kicked his ass! Right Korvo?! notices Korvo isn’t here Korvo? Honey?! Korvo?!

Montez: What is it?! What’s wrong?!

Terry/Solar Flare: It’s Korvo! He’s not here! Where is he?!

Suddenly, Cherie sees a note from Ophelia and gasp. It reads that she has Korvo and is finally gonna take his powers. Cherie gasp.

Back with the kids, the Replicants and Daryl made it home and turns back into their normal Shlorpian selves and then sees Janiz reconstructing the shrink ray.

Janiz: Kids! Get in line! We’re going to the wall!

Yumyulack: Wall?! laughs nervously What wall?!

Janiz: Give it up! Korvo and Terry found out and told me already!

Yumyulack: What?! But how did they-

Janiz: Shrink ray, activate!

Janiz uses the shrink ray on her and Yumyulack and Jesse and Daryl and accidentally Miss Frankie, Principal Cooke and Randall, who just came in here!

Miss Frankie: What the?! What the fuck is going on?!

Principal Cooke: Why did you guys shrink us?!

AISHA: Sorry about that! But, everyone is in trouble! And so might Korvo! Ophelia might be going in there to take his powers!

Randall: What?! That’s horrible!

Janiz: Come on, we have no time to lose!

The three Shlorpians, two computer assistants and four humans made it inside the wall as they made it. Suddenly, the door soldiers Ophelia sent came and is starting to attack the heroes.

Yumyulack: Oh shoot! Ophelia’s foot soldiers!

Jesse: Not on our watch! Time to transform!

The Ultra Opposites quickly transformed as Janiz backs away and shields her eyes. The Ultra Opposite then fight the guards with their powers.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Mind shock! uses his mind powers to distract a guard who started screaming

Jesse/Electra: Eat this bitch! uses her electric wreaking ball to knock out the bad guy and then uses her electricity powers to knock her out You just got Electra’d!

Principal Cooke/Super Cooke: Have a nice laser time! uses his laser eyes to knock out the guard

Miss Frankie/Shadow Lady: You boys want some of this! uses her weaponry to knock out the guards

Randall/Ultra Man: Have some strength! uses his strength powers to throw a beam

Suddenly, Cherie hears the commotion and heads over there immediately. Suddenly, her body starts glowing cherry-pink as she gasp.

Cherie: Oh my God! What’s happening?! Here comes the glow!

Cherie’s body started glowing as it surrounded her body and transforms her into something more. The beam shoot through the roof. Darcy and Jaime and Kevin sees it as they ran up to the Solars’ house. Back with the Ultra Opposites, Black Matter sees a guard about to pummel his Psylock and uses his psychic powers to overpower the guards with his mind.

Daryl/Dark Matter: Stop trying to kill my boy!

The guards scream as he flies off. Psylock and Dark Matter kiss and then heads back to fighting the guards. Suddenly, someone sneaked up and knocks out the last of the remaining guards as the Ultra Opposites gasp.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Damn! What was that?!

Soldier: What the fuck?! What the fuck?! Someone is attacking me from behind!

Soldier #2: Let’s get the fuck out of here!

The soldiers retreat, but then, Cherie appears, now with her own super suit.

Cherie/Agent Red: There! That outta hold ‘em. You gotta be careful when new foes approach the doorstep.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Uh, who the fuck are you?

Cherie/Agent Red: I’m a friend. Legendary Super Shlorpian needs our help. Ophelia has kidnapped him to take his powers.

Yumyulack/Psylock: What?! No!

Daryl/Dark Matter: Don’t worry babe, we won’t let that happen to your dad.

Cherie/Agent Red: Come on, I’ll explain along the way.

The Ultra Opposites, Janiz, EVA and AISHA follows Agent Red to the Wall Village. Back at the Wall Village, Terry started to panic back and forth in his Mundane form.

Terry/Solar Flare: Aw fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck! My Korvy’s been taken! Oh God! She’s gonna kill my husband!

Nova: Solar Flare, don’t worry! I’m sure your husband is gonna be alright. We’ll find him before-

Suddenly, the rings activate and most of the Wallians have been turn into foot soldiers. The rest of the Wallians ran to safety as Nova and Montez suit up into their Ultra Opposites suits.

Montez/The Master: Those are not soldiers! Those are monsters!

Solar Flare, The Master and Lady Roseus charges for battle as soon as the other Ultra Opposites along with Janiz, who has transformed into her human form, AISHA and EVA arrived.

Human Janiz: Terry?! It’s good to see you safe! But wait, what’s going on?

Jesse/Electra: Oh shit! Foot soldiers!

Yumyulack/Psylock: We must be careful! Those are really innocent civilians trapped by their own fears.

Electra then sees three Wallians in trouble as she gasp.

Jesse/Electra: Be right back!

Electra jumps up and uses her electric wrecking ball by tapping into her inner rage and roars in fury as she swings it by the right side to swing the guards to a concrete building.

Jesse/Electra: Fuck yeah bitches!

Suddenky a guard appears and throws her as she is sent soaring as she screams.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Oh no! Jesse!

Terry/Solar Flare: Huh? Guys?!

Sherbet then sees Jesse and gasp as she hears Jesse’s screams.

Sherbet: Electra! Hang on! I’m coming to get you!

Sherbet then jumps up and grabs Electra when suddenly…

Wall Woman: What the?!

Wall Clerk: How in the fuck is Electra landing?!

Sherbet then lands on her feet when suddenly, she actually turned orange as she puts Jesse down.

Sherbet: Electra! Are you alright?!

Jesse/Electra: Yeah! Thanks- gasp in shock Holy fuck! You’re orange!

Sherbet looks around her and screams.

Sherbet: What’s happening to me?! turns red

Jesse/Electra: Cool! You have the ability to turn into different colors! This is so cool!

Sherbet: What?! But, how do I change back?!

Jesse/Electra: Don’t worry! We can get to Janiz, she could help us!

Jesse grabs Sherbet’s hand as the two girls run back to the rest of the gang.

Jesse/Electra: Janiz, this girl needs our help! She’s changing colors.

Sherbet turns pink.

Human Janiz: Amazing. We must get you back the labs before-

Montez suddenly senses something ticking with his psychic powers. The Ultra Opposites look around to see the Wallians and gasp silently.

Principal Cooke/Super Cooke: What the F-U-C-K is going on here?!

Nova/Lady Roseus: notices the rest of the Ultra Opposites What the? Who are you people??

Miss Frankie/Shadow Lady: We were likely gonna ask you the same thing!

Montez/The Master: put his hand in front of the Ultra Opposites Hold it! There’s a bomb! Ophelia must’ve send it out to kill us!

Terry/Solar Flare: Fuck! We have to get out of here!

Later, Kevin, Jaime and Darcy came into the house as they notices something wrong.

Darcy: What the fuck is happening?!

Jaime: I don’t know. But, I think it’s coming from the backyard.

Kevin: Suddenly sees Ophelia’s fortress in the sky Uh, guys?

Kevin points up to the sky as they gasp. Back with Korvo, he tries his best to get out of the cage but it keeps shocking him.

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: You’ll never get away with this Ophelia! My family and friends will find you! And then we’re gonna kick your ass!

Ophelia: Ugh! Why do you guys care about each other so much?!

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: I don’t care what you think of us! Sure we may fight and agree to disagree sometimes, but our family’s love for each other is strong! We love each other no matter what!

Korvo growls as he tries to escape but then Ophelia grabs him.

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: That does it! What are you going to do to me?!

Ophelia: Nothing! Except, taking your powers so I can crush you Ultra Opposites once for all!

Korvo/Legendary Super Shlorpian: No! Don’t!

Ophelia uses her new headband device as it sucks Korvo’s powers away from him as he screams in pain and collapses on the floor as Ophelia laughs evilly.

Ophelia: At last! The power of the Super Shlorpian! IT'S FINALLY MINE!

Ophelia transforms into a Super Shlorpian as Korvo depowers and starts panting.

Korvo: Terry! Jesse! Yumyulack! Guys! Please hurry!

Back at the Solars’ house, Kevin, Darcy, Jaime came to the backyard where they see smoke coming from the hole. The Pupa came and gasp.

Kevin: What the hell is going on here?

Jaime: hears screeching What the?!

Ophelia came and attacks Jaime as he screams. Luckily, Jaime got up and kicks Ophelia in the face.

Jaime: What the fuck?! gasp How dare you try to copy Super Shlorpian’s powers?!

Darcy: Because, those are his powers!

Kevin: Give these back to L.S.S.! Right now, you fucking monster!

Ophelia snapped and tries to attack but then, Ophelia blast the three humans with crystals with energy as they fused with their bodies.

Jaime, Darcy and Kevin: Whoa!

The three humans landed on the grass but got up as they moan. Darcy starts to feel a stomachs in her body as she falls on her knees.

Jaime: Honey. Are you okay?

As Jaime puts his hands on Darcy‘s shoulders, Darcy then turns her head around, where it shows her eyes glowing as she starts to growl.

Jaime: Uh, honey? What’s happening?!

Darcy starts growing bigger and muscular as some of her clothes look a bit torn. Her hair even grew too.

Darcy: I feel goooooood.

Darcy smashed the ground as it creates a shock wave and tore the ground apart as it attracts the Ultra Opposites and the Wallians.

Cherie/Agent Red: Quick everyone! To the hole! It’s our only chance!

Yumyulack/Psylock: Hurry! Let’s get the fuck out of here!

AISHA: Stand back dummies! Let us carry you! Come on cous!

EVA: Right behind you AISHA!

AISHA and EVA helps carries the remains Wallians to safety while The Ultra Opposites and Janiz lead them to safety as everyone jump out of the hole and the wall explodes. Ms. Perez hears the explosion and rushes right over here.

Ms. Perez: What the fuck is happening?! sees the shrink ray on the floor Huh?

Back with Jaime, Darcy and Kevin, the trio then ran up to Ophelia to confront her but she screeches and tries to attack but then Kevin screams and suddenly shoots fire out of his mouth as Ophelia dodges it and growl.

Ophelia: No! No! Those crystals have energize your bodies and give you super powers!

Kevin: Oh my God. I have fire breath! Awesome!

Jaime: Wait, what can I do?! suddenly lights up on fire Holy fuck!

Ophelia growls and flies up to her fortress.

Ophelia: No! There are more of them low! I gotta find a way to crush them!

Ms. Perez came in the backyard and suddenly sees the tiny miniature versions of the Ultra Opposites and the Wallians.

Ms. Perez: What the hell?! sees Jaime, Darcy and Kevin What’s going on?

Darcy: Opposites?

Jaime: How did you guys get so small?!

Terry/Solar Flare: Quick! Unshrink us!

Ms. Perez: Don’t worry, I got this shrink ray! Let me see how it works-

Ms. Perez presses the button as it helps unshrink the Ultra Opposites and the Wallians as the bomb goes off and explodes, destroying the Wall Village.

Terry/Solar Flare: Look out!

The Ultra Opposites and Wallians fell to the ground while landing on Kevin, Darcy and Jaime accidentally. Mia then lands on Ms. Perez as the two ladies scream. The two girls moan and open their eyes, until they felt a spark once they saw each other for the first time, like this:

Jesse/Electra: Ms. Perez: Are you alright?!

Ms. Perez: Uh yeah, I think so.

Mia: moaning as she puts her hand on her forehead

Ms. Perez: Who’s that?

Cherie/Agent Red: taking her suit’s muzzle off Mia. Our Wall Greeter.

Psylock gasp as he recognizes Cherie.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Oh shit! You’re the chef I shrunk!

Cherie/Agent Red: Yumyulack?

Yumyulack/Psylock: Please don’t hurt me!

Solar Flare gets up and gasp upon seeing Kevin, Jaime and Darcy with super powers.

Jaime: Damn, you look buff honey.

Darcy: Aw, kisses Jaime and gives him a big but painful hug Thanks.

Jaime: Easy there sweetie.

Kevin: breaths a little bit of fire Hey Solars!

Montez/The Master: The Wall Village… it’s gone…

After five seconds of silence, the Wall People cheer in joy.

Wall Person: We’re home!

Yumyulack/Psylock: Wait! Uh, Yumyulack would like to say, he is sorry for shrinking you guys. All because he pissed him off and because he wanted people to stop being jerks. He was wrong. All it took was some people who care about him to help him see that.

Dark Matter smiles at his boyfriend and so does Electra. But then, she notices the sad look on Solar Flare’s face.

Jesse/Electra: Solar Flare? What happened?!

An hour late, Terry is pacing in frustration as the rest of the Ultra Opposites watch in worry.

Cherie/Agent Red: Don’t worry Terry, I’m sure we can stop Ophelia.

Janiz: Yeah! I’m sure we can stop that Empress and save your husband!

Terry/Solar Flare: Well, I can't do that, can I?! Because Korvo is gone! FUCK! transforms into his Mundane form as the others gasp

Jaime: Whoa! I didn’t know you could do that!

Jesse/Electra: It runs in the family.

Janiz: Terry! It’s gonna be okay!

Terry/Solar Flare: No crying it’s not! My Korvy is in danger! Ophelia is gonna take his powers away! It’s all my fault I should’ve known! I-I-

Terry breaks down in tears as Jesse and Yumyulack comforts him.

Yumyulack/Psylock: Don’t worry Terry, we’ll get Korvo back!

Jesse/Electra: Yeah we got this!

Terry/Solar Flare: But I didn’t protect him!

Janiz: That is not true! Terry, you always kept Korvo safe with you no matter what! You always keep people safe!

The three Ultra Opposites charge for battle as they fought some of the guards. Psylock his mind reading papers to give the guards a headache as they scream.

Electra channels her anger and uses his electric powers to shock the guards.

Jesse/Electra: You just got Electra’d!

Solar Flare combines his fireballs and creates a huge fire blast. The rest of the Ultra Opposites, with Janiz, EVA and AISHA.

Nova/Lady Roseus: You guys ready for this?

Back with the three Ultra Opposites, they get into a heroic stance but then Ophelia grabs Terry as he gasp.

Terry/Solar Flare: Guys, don’t listen to this bully! I’ll be fine!

Ophelia: We’ll see. Now surrender now, or Solar Flare learns to fly!

Terry/Solar Flare: Guys, don’t! gets choked by Ophelia

Psylock and Electra surrenders and sit in their knees for surrender.

Terry/Solar Flare: sheds tears of joy Korvy…

Ophelia: That’s the thing about spouses, is it? The more you love them, the more it hurts when they go… allow me to demonstrate…

And with that, Ophelia drops Solar Flare out of the window as he falls. Psylock and Electra tearfully reaches out for their father as Korvo tearfully watches his sweetheart falls to his doom.

Suddenly, someone catches Solar Flare with huge amount of strength, as Solar Flare wakes up and transforms into his Mundane and roars. He then turns gasp to see… Darcy?

Terry/Solar Flare: Huh?

Darcy/Darcina: Hey!

Darcy, now with her own muscle woman superhero suit smiles at her new fellow Ultra Opposites with the help of Jaime, now with his own suit.

Terry/Solar Flare: Jaime?! Darcy?! You guys are one of us now?!

Jaime/Firey: Yep!

Solar Flare and his two new fellow Ultra Opposites landed on their feet as they meet up with the rest of the Ultra Opposites.

All: Solar Flare?! Are you okay? Are you hurt?

Cherie/Agent Red: Are there any broke bones?

Terry/Solar Flare: No.

Principal Cooke/Super Cooke: Do you have a temperature.

Terry/Solar Flare: No it’s okay. I’m fine! gasp as he looks back up there Oh no! My family is up there! We got to rescue them!

Montez/The Master: We must hurry!

Terry/Solar Flare: But we must get the past the guards! Janiz hurry you and AISHA and EVA get out of here before- suddenly notices Janis’s eyes glowing pink Janiz?

Janiz: Jesus, give me strength!

Janiz transforms into her super Shlorpian form for the first time in years and flies up to help Korvo.

Janiz: Meet me up there! Go, keep fighting! But first Terry, save your Mundane form for later! We need you in fighting shape right now!

Terry/Solar Flare: On it! turns back to normal Come on guys, let’s go kick that Empress’ ass and save my family!
