Pumpkin Sandwich ($6)

Pumpkin mash was sweet, balanced nicely with the saltiness of the salted beef. Full of veg!! Was still hungry after this.

Egg Mayo Sandwich ($4.40)

Bread was soft and egg mayo was satisfactory. A nick pick me up.

Hi! My copy of the RWBY Archives Remnant Promenade art book arrived today. I came across this concept art of Velvet which made me think of you, because, well, Velvet:

Cute but in a different way to your Velvet, who is one of the cutest I've seen. And also dangerous somehow, if that makes any sense. Dangerously cute? Let's go with that.

Secondly I cannot get OVER that concept art. Like who is that?? Velvet??! It’s like a whole other character, it’s crazy to think that what if that did become her official design. I’m happy we have the official one, I like it a lot more. She looks more ruffleable which is important 😤

I thought maybe she could pass off as like, child velvet but between the sad eyes and emerald hair, I dunno it’s a big gap.

birthday shenanigans! went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch with my mom, got some kimchi buns, she got fried chickne skin, and i had my fave chicken katsu curry. It was very good! Deffo want to go back! we found a bakery that sold lavender lemonade and croissants! and i made cupcakes!

Sis messaged me saying she is coming home with some breads from Johan Paris. This Japanese bakery of French origins makes some of the nicest breads and buns in Singapore. Particularly, the Fluffy Cheese Bread (S$12.40 whole or S$6.20 for half loaf) which is filled with cubes of Cheddar, Mozzarella and Gouda. It is topped with red cheddar cheese and baked till the outside is golden-brown and crusty. How can such a savoury loaf not be yummy and delicious.

Also from the same bakery located in Isetan Scotts is this Spicy Cheese Bread (S$3.50). A French bun filled with cheese, bacon and sprinkled with black pepper. The bun is slightly chewier than the fluffy cheese bread with plenty of cheese and occasion encounters of bacon.

the way i somehow undersold how well the ot3 would be fed this week

we get Chasshiro being teased by Genba about being softer on Taiya with his rules and owning up to that being a flaw since he wouldn't question Taiya's actions and intentions, instead telling Taiya not to leave him behind again, that he'll keep up from here on out, both of which were very sweet moments that had me and my discord friends squeeing. Fingers crossed we'll get more like that as Taiya and Mira slowly defrost him

but then we also get Mira bringing up her and Taiya's special thing about taking the wheel for yourself TWICE! (it's also the fucking name of the trailer song for the second arc!!!!) I can't believe what we got was somehow even better than my last big boonboomger post, bc Mira somehow did exactly what I said I hoped, and she made it a personal thing. It wasn't just showing Taiya that they'd stand by his dream if he would stand by them, she made it a personal wish, which is so much cuter. Instead, it simply in turn inspired the other rangers to chime in with their own desires for the team (and frankly i also like that better as a whole, bc it lets everyone shine in individual ways instead of having Mira speak on behalf of everyone)

it gets even sweeter still, because Taiya said he wanted to deliver Boondorio's dream to him by racing for him in the Big Bang Grand Prix. Mira said that if that was Taiya's dream, then delivering that dream to Taiya would be her wish. And as we know, everyone on the team has a unique designation describing their role within the squad going forward, and Mira's? The motorist. She's their racer! Taiya and Chasshiro recruited her in the first place for her one-of-a-kind driving intuition, which is where the taking the wheel quote was dropped in the first place! and now she gets to fulfill her own dream while doing what she loves, all thanks to Taiya's example while also being there for him specifically in a way only she can. graaarr that's so cute, that's so peak, i couldn't have written it better if i tried, how did we get fed this well during only episode nineeee
