By Douglas Greenwood•MAY 2, 2025
The Letterboxd-ification of the movie world means there’s been a boom in self-described cinephiles. You know, the kind of guy who refers to new arthouse films by the surname of the director and loves to tell you he’s seen everything by David Fincher or Martin Scorsese. It’s a net positive for the film world, but the blind spots remain more jarring than ever, with attention still centered on the few. In these spaces, it’s the work of Black women that often goes ignored, but a new season at London’s BFI Southbank, Black Debutantes, makes it easier than ever to engage with the seminal work they’ve made.  It’s the season’s curator Rógan Graham (a longtime i-D contributor, we’re proud to say, and the legend behind Divas Do Film, known for programming Mariah Carey’s derided and iconic Glitter in the hallowed halls of arthouse cinemas) who you can thank for expanding your cinematic horizons. Over a year ago, she sat down with an industry colleague and considered why these films, ones that felt so important to the fabric of cinema, were impossible to see on the big screen in Britain anymore. So she got to work, crafting a program that offers a non-exhaustive but eye-opening look at films even the most obsessive cinephiles have likely never seen.  Starting now, both at BFI Southbank and, from May 5, on BFI Player, viewers can dive into them. We asked Graham about the series’ holy grail, her advice for breaking into the industry, and exactly who she wants showing up to Black Debutantes. Douglas Greenwood: Black Debutantes was born from a frustration of not being able to see many of these films, from such seminal but often under appreciated directions, in the UK. But you’ve called the season a “celebration.” Why that reframing? Rógan Graham: In the simplest way, it’s the fact that the season exists. And I don’t mean for me, I mean for audiences and filmmakers. It’s a positive thing that people can now engage with this work.  What frustrates me in the exhibition space is that films made by marginalized identities are given the “one off special event.” I wanted to challenge that. This is in one venue, but it’s a month of screenings and you have the opportunity to follow that curiosity.
I’ve been conscious to not frame these filmmakers’ stories as tragic. There is tragedy when racism and sexism, misogynoir, homophobia, whatever it may be, prohibits anyone’s life. Misogynoir is a factor in many of these women only making one work, or not having much acclaim. As much as I can be angry at that, it’s not my job to frame their lives as some kind of failing. Those who are still alive might be frustrated, but they’re working, living, breathing. Maybe not getting funding, but they’re not gone. That’s their thing to say. I didn’t want to belittle their careers by asking, “Where did they go?” Did you have a “holy grail” film for this program—something you fought hard to find? There isn’t a film we couldn’t get, but there are a lot of films that aren’t in the season that feel like they should be. When I first started discussing the idea of the season, somebody listed off what they felt would be in there based on the title of the season. Actually, none of that is in there, probably because they were so easily guessing it.  My holy grail was Jessie Maple’s Will, which is a film that we almost didn’t get. She died in May 2023, and that was the first time I heard her name. She was the first African American woman to write, direct and produce her own independent feature. She was the first Black woman to join the camera operators union. She sued TV studios for discrimination. She was a pioneer, a union woman, and a worker in the industry.
It’s a real shame it took her passing for her work to be restored, but the fact that it is, and we get to premiere it, is amazing. I have to thank Ashley Clarke at Criterion because he put in a good word with me at the estate, because they’re protective of her work. You write about cinema, and have a history of programming. It’s such a tough industry to make sense of, and survive in. Do you have advice for people interested in taking part in it themselves? I’ve had a very interesting career path. I don’t like the term ‘jack of all trades’ because I don’t think I’m a master of none. To survive, you need either multiple skill sets or a rich family. And I don’t have a rich family. I’m not an archivist, I’m not a researcher. I have no institutional backing. Yes, this season is at the BFI, but I’m still a freelancer.  My advice for people taking part in the industry is this: any skill you have, don’t be ashamed to use it. It doesn’t mean you’re not dedicated because you don’t have as much time as a friend who has their life funded by their family. That doesn’t mean they’re more dedicated, it just means they’ve been handed more resources. When you have to generate that yourself, that’s nothing to be ashamed of.  If you can do marketing, my day job, or work in a cafe or book shop, there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s my advice for working class people. It’s hard and you have to hustle, but I’m proud to be able to say that anything I’ve done I’ve done myself.
“I’m so drawn to divas and Black women directors because I want to see how women like me think about the world and how they choose to position themselves within it”
I love your Divas Do Film screenings. Is there a film that overlaps that side of your work with what you’ve made with Black Debutantes? I’m interested in the way pop divas choose to present themselves publicly, or the narratives they choose to push, either through the roles they choose in films or the documentaries or music videos they direct. Basically how they’re in conversation with their own image. There isn’t one film that overlaps with Black Debutantes, but there is a good relationship between Black women and the camera and documentation that arises in a few.  Drylongso is a coming of age film, and the protagonist takes a camera to document the Black men in her community because she’s growing up in such violence in south central LA in the ’90s, because she thinks Black men are going to go extinct. Then there’s Losing Ground, Kathleen Collins’ film, in which the protagonist rediscovers herself and her sensuality when she finds herself in front of a camera acting in a student project. Naked Act is maybe the best example, though, about a young woman who’s lost a lot of weight who wants to become an actress. Her mother was a Blaxploitation actress, and she tells herself she wants to be a real actress instead. Then an indie film role comes along that involves nudity. It’s about her relationship to her body and her family trauma and her mother and her relationship to the camera.  The reason I’m so drawn to divas and Black women directors is because I want to see how women like me––a Black woman and a diva!––think about the world and how they choose to position themselves within it, and who that positioning is for. The consciousness of the self on camera. Not that these films are all biographical, they don’t have to be. Women and Black women don’t have to make films about their own lives. But that’s where that overlap lies.
Who would you most like to come out and support the season? Everyone, honestly, So far the season has been embraced by Black women and the directors I’m in touch with seem really happy.  I also want to see cinephiles as a collective, self-identified or not. The ones who claim to know more than the average person about film. And then you throw the names Bridgett M. Davis (writer of Naked Acts), Kathleen Collins (Losing Ground), or Ngozi Onwurah (Welcome II the Terrordome), and suddenly it’s a bit quiet. It’s like, are you a cinephile or not?  This season came from asking questions and seeing where that leads to. I want people to see one film and then think, ‘Oh, what’s this?’. If you haven’t heard of something it doesn’t mean it’s not for you, it just means you haven’t heard of it yet. I want everyone to embrace it, but for cinephiles to meaningfully engage with the work of Black women. I’ve made it easy for them to do so, I think.

Midnight Kiss
Tumblr media
Synopsis: you learn Jessie has never had a midnight kiss, you decide to change that.
Warnings: none!
WC: 1.1k
A/N: hi, happy new year! I couldn’t sleep last night and started this little blurb and I’ve finished it on the train to the airport so it’s very short, I apologize. Hope everyone gets a new years kiss if they want one, or maybe a new years high five, whatever you’re in to :)
“Ever had a midnight kiss?” You leaned over practically shouting in Jessie’s ear as the two of you stood side by side on the wall of a bar.
It had been Sophia’s idea, renting out a bar to celebrate the new year, she invited her various friends as well as national and club teammates. You weren’t one for partying anymore, outgrowing that phase when you left college, but when Sophia had texted, practically begging you to come you agreed.
The night hadn’t been half bad, surrounded by a lot of familiar faces, loud music and dancing, and some good food you couldn’t complain too much. But the longer the night went on the more you longed to be back home snuggled in bed.
“Nope, at least not on New Years, you?” Jessie turns her head to glance at you. You nod your head as you bring the beer bottle in your hand to your lips. Taking a sip you debate if you should give her further details or not.
“Yeah, funny enough a fair amount with men.” You notice how Jessie’s eyes raise as she brings her own drink to her lips. “Most of them were just for fun, drunken kisses that didn’t mean anything.” Suddenly shy about your history of drunk kissing, you change the subject. “So never? Not even as a joke?”
Jessie just shakes her head before adding a shoulder shrug.
“Would you want to be?” It’s kind of a joke, offering to kiss your teammate. But it also wasn’t, you’d always had an admiration for Jessie, her composure, the way her brain worked, not to mention the freckles, the curls, the maple brown eyes.
“Huh?” Those same eyes squinting at you in confusion.
“I just mean, I could, we could, if you wanted to.” You tried to be nonchalant about it, but in reality your heart was racing. You figured the offer was light, she didn’t have to know the feelings behind it, that you were maybe interested in a little bit more than just a new years peck.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Her words cause your stomach to sink slightly but you weren’t quite ready to give up, you wouldn’t push her into it, but you were curious.
“Why not? it doesn’t have to mean anything.”
“That’s actually the problem.” Jessie mumbles as she brings her drink to her lips, taking a longer sip than normal, tipping the bottle back until it empties into her mouth.
“What do you mean?”
She looks at you, a firm stare, one that almost makes you feel stupid for not understanding what she meant. Your fingers begin to pick at the label on your bottle, a nervous habit. She raises her eyebrows at you. “Seriously?”
You throw your arms out slightly in a shrug.
“If we kiss, I’m worried it won’t be nothing. I’ll go home and not be able to sleep because of it. I’ll be up thinking there’s something there, something between us, while you go and forget we even kissed before you leave the building because it means nothing.”
“I said it could mean nothing.”
Now it’s her turn to look confused. Instead of making her wait you explain yourself.
“It doesn’t have to mean nothing. It can mean something, if that’s something you’d be interested in exploring.” You pull off a chunk of the label, picking causing it to fall off the bottle. You take a sip in an attempt to distract yourself from the nerves that had bottled up.
“Really?” She says it as if she doesn’t believe you, as if this was a practical joke being played on her and she was waiting for the laughing to start.
“Yeah.” You not and smile at her, placing your hand on her shoulder. “You really think I’d spend my whole evening glued to your side if I wasn’t into you? I mean I get it, you’re cool and all but I’ve been trying to flirt with you for months.” It’s now your turn to look at her like she had missed the big clue.
“Oh.”
“I just said it could mean nothing because I didn’t know how you felt. I didn’t want there to be weird feelings if you just thought I was trying to kiss you for my own enjoyment.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
You’re pulled your your own bubble of tension when the crowd surrounding the bar begins counting down from 10. You look over to see a big count down on the screen as the clock approaches midnight.
“Five!”
You turn back to look at Jessie, she’s looking back at you. You don’t have the chance to ask with words instead raising your eyebrows in question at her.
“Four!”
Her tongue quickly runs along her bottom lip, and then she nods.
“Three!”
It takes a moment for your brain to register her head movement. She nodded.
“Two!”
You put your bottle down on the small ledge next to you, freeing your hands. One comes to her waist, pulling her closer, the other to the side of her face.
“One!”
You lean down, putting your lips to hers as an array of noisemakers, fireworks, and shouts happen in the background as the new year starts. All the sounds fade out as your attention is brought back to Jessie, the way her soft lips were on yours, her arms thrown around your neck, pulling you down and into her just as much as you were holding her tight to your own body.
You both pull back, earlier than you truly would’ve liked. Her eyes open just after yours and you can’t help but hide the smile that ran across your lips. She mirrors you, a big smile, that she tries to bite back and a faint blush on her face.
“So? Midnight kiss worth it?” You tease her, trying to break the slight buildup of romantic and sexual tension that had occurred from a simple kiss.
“Oh definitely, especially if there’s going to be more of those in the new year.” Leaning over, her head rests on your shoulder and she tilts her head up to look at you.
“I think I can make that happen.”

Enough pt. 2
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Before the Canadian soccer team could even play one game, their squad had to withstand turmoil. After the scandal is published, some of their assistants, as well as Bev Priestman were banned from the team, leaving Andy Spence as responsible. You couldn’t imagine what every single player was going through in this situation. How much pressure is on them after the leaking.
Is Jessie okay? How is she coping with this information? As the new named captain, this had another impact on the reserved player. The two of you weren’t at the stage of exposing your truest fears and thoughts yet still earning each other’s trust. On the morning of the first game of your rendezvous, you try to call her, but she is deep in her game preparation. >Hey Flem, just checking in. I saw the news; well, you couldn’t overlook that. A nervous chuckle escaped your lips. So, how’s my favorite Canadian holding up? Hope you had a good morning. I’m looking forward to the game this evening, cheering on you, my champion. You’ll rock this, go make your country proud. Make me proud. So… yeah… call me back when you’ve got time. Fingers are crossed.< You end the voice note and enter the train.
The knocks echo through the stadium as the woman batter the rod onto the pitch, and shortly after, the teams lead by their captains walk onto the grass. A smile settles on your lips as your eyes fall on the brunette Canadian in red.
After 11 minutes the canucks trail by one goal which shocked the whole stadium, they showed dominance and talent, their tactics prevail the game. The fans of the maple leaf could take a breath of relief when Cloé Lacasse headed the tie just before the end of the first half, to which everyone leap up into the air. Your sight remains on the woman with the number 17 written all over her back. The way she reads the opponent and has their crosses blocked, her ability to run such a distance over whole ninety minutes astounds you. When Evelyn Viens scores in the 79th minute nothing could bound the fan to their seats. Eight minutes of injury time are over when the final whistle blows, and the cheering of the Canadian fans roars through the stadium. On the field the footballer in red huddle and celebrate together, throwing their arms in the air and clasping teammates into their embrace. Your eyes still linger on Jessie’s figure as she trolls over the pitch waving and clapping at fans. She walks past your section and your gazes meet for a moment or two and the corner of your mouth twirl up as you apprehend Jessie’s countenance; her nose wrinkled, her head cocked to the side and her mouth agape. But what you couldn’t see from your seat was the way her eyes flashed, and her cheeks turn a crimson red. Her eyes bore into you as if you were a hallucination and would disappear when she averts her sight. You giggle and wave at the brunette, who covered her mouth with one hand and her eyes widen as she comprehend the situation. Jessie leaves her cluster of teammates and sprints towards your direction. It feels like you’re glued to the ground as you watch her inching closer over to where you stand. As she reaches the railing at the end of the stairs, she signals you to walk down to her. The clogs in your brain turn a mile per minute and your heartbeat increases. You stumble down the stairs. To other it seems you’re a friend of hers, that’s what you kind of hope, not wanting to expose Jessie to anyone as the woman you’re seeing, not sure of her feelings toward you or her thoughts of the two of you since you haven’t labelled the situation between you. Jessie beams at you and her eyes never leaving your body as you make your way down.
“Hi,” you greet her as you halt in front of her, the bar in between you separating the two of you. How much you wished for it to disappear, you couldn’t easily jump over it because there was a high difference of almost two meters.
She stands on tiptoes, her arms lifted, for her to feel you somewhat near. “You’re here,” she breaths out, and your smile grows. “I can’t believe it.” Jessie rubs her eyes. “How?”
“I can leave if you don’t want me here,” you tease, a grin forming.
“No!” Jessie’s quick to react.
“My games won’t start until the 29th. And I couldn’t miss this. Besides I needed a surprise for you myself,” you wink at the brunette and her cheeks turn a deep red. “I call you this morning, but you already left for your game.”
“I heard but couldn’t answer, I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright.” You reach for her hand but stop just inches before you could feel her skin on you. The two of you haven’t exchanged fondling during the last weeks you got to know each other.
Your mind racing.
Does Jessie want this too? Does she like you too? Is it okay for her to display it? are you on the same page?
The train of thoughts is interrupted as you feel her warm skin on yours. A shy smile visualizes on your face as your eyes wander from hers to your intertwined hands. The Canadian herself beams at you and caresses the back of your hand with her thumb. This is a big step.
“It’s an amazing surprise. I like it.”
“I do hope so.”
“Oh, believe me,” she squeezes your hand, giving you a wink.
“I must say you played unbelievable. Enjoyable to watch you and your magic.”
“Thank you, Y/N.” as she says your name your heart stops and butterflies erupt in your stomach, the sound of it is angelic, you could hear it every day, you could also feel how the heat creeps into your cheeks and your eyes dart to the ground. Jessie squeezes your hand again, gaining your attention your eyes meet her amber ones. “Will you stay?” her voice small.
You nod as you breathe a yes out.
“I’d love that. Give me half an hour and we’ll meet outside the stadium. If we don’t find each other I call you.”
Another nod was your response as she scrunches your hand one last time before letting go and running over to what you suppose is her family, as she turns around, she presents you a tooth rotting grin and another wave before you round the corner into the building.
The minutes tick by as the fans leave the stadium, some gathering in a knot of people at what you guess the player exit was. Cheering fills the air when the Canadian footballer leave the stadium. You stand secluded, waiting for the athlete to arrive. You are ripped out of your thoughts as two muscular arms come around your middle. You turn in your spot and throw your arms around her neck, burying your face in her shoulder, squeezing her tighter to you. Her wet hair tickles your cheek, but you try to ignore it, taking the moment in. She twirls you around, and you giggle into her left ear at which her heart rate quickens and goosebumps form on her skin. “Thank you,” she mumbles.
“For what?” you slightly part and observe her.
“Being here. I didn’t realise how much I missed this, you. It felt like years since the last time we’ve seen each other.”
“We phoned yesterday.”
“You know what I mean,” she pinches your sides, and you jump in your spot.
“Tell me.” You whisper into the room between you, lips curling up as Jessie sighs and presses her lips together. “I missed this too,” a chuckle leaves your mouth as you cares her back from top to bottom. “So, what now?”
“Let’s get some food.” She grabs her bag and leads the way down the road to a restaurant. “Excuse my choice of dressing, but I wasn’t prepared a beautiful woman would come to the game,” a coy smile lingered on her lips as she narrowed her eyes, and she flatters her eyelashes.
Your bite you lower lips, eyes falling to the floor as your cheeks start to blush. “I don’t mind.”
The waitress leads you to a table in the corner of the sunroof, it’s a quiet place just what you two need. “Thank you,” you both say at the same time and the waitress gives you a smile before leaving you alone.
“I can't put it into words how much it surprised me that you came plus that I can finally see you again,” she beams at you, “in person,” Jessie adds.
You keep a stoic expression. You hold a blank stare and keep your lips in a line. “It’s okay, I guess,” you comment, and Jessie’s jaw drops, her eyes wide and blink rapidly, and her brows rise. “Maybe it’s quite nice.”
She rolls her eyes. “Stop it.”
“What?”
“The teasing…”
“I’m not.”
She holds your gaze, inching closer and your breaths mix. “You’re lying.” She knits her brows, lips tighten.
“Why should I.”
“Cause you like me?”
“From what can that be determined?” you sent her a shrug smile.
Jessie sighs, fidgeting with the ring on her finger, “this is no fun.”
“Oh Fleming,” you place your hand as an offer for her on the table, and without hesitation, she puts hers in yours, and you close your finger around it, a smile forming on her face. “I couldn’t stand another day without you. This past month was a dread.”
“I was really looking forward to the last game in Paris, but I like this better wouldn’t have it any other way,” she squeezes your hand as she closes her eyes and scrunches her nose.
“Me too. I like this much more.”
A comfortable silence falls between you two where you take in the presence of each other and enjoy this slow moment, which was rare these days.
“To get back to your call…”
“Jess.”
“This situation… This scandal it blindsided me, I’m a little confused and-“ she gulps. “It’s overwhelming.” A tear escapes her eye, and you reach over and wipe it away, your thump lingering on her cheek longer than necessary. “And to be honest, yeah I like our calls and how much we message when we can, but I really longed to be with you, to have you next to me, to feel your presence.” The tears slowly flow down her cheek. By now your hand rests on her cheek as you frequently dry them.
“It’s alright, let it out,” you soothe her. “I’m here.” Your thump caressing her skin as you fell her lean into your touch. Your hand takes hers, and you pull her over to you, then you lay your arms around her shoulders and press her shaking body close into you. A hand running through her damp hair, the other lightly rubbing her back. “I’ve got you.” You notice how your t-shirt gets slightly wet, but you didn’t mind because she’s Jessie. “I know it's easy for me to say this, that you shouldn’t take this personal or let it be affected in any way, but I understand what this triggers in you. Jess, you’re the honest and kindest human I’ve ever met and you’re such a big name in the game, all little girls look up to you and praises you and the whole squad and yet you were played dirty. Something that is against yours and the team’s moral, the Canadian way if you want so. And everyone knows it's not your fault that you and your girls haven’t had a clue what’s going on. I know there are some people who will fight you as being victims too, but those don’t know, they’re jealous and foolish, maybe thinking their nation would’ve won against you in the past years.” Another shudder runs through her body as she tightens the grip on your shirt, burying herself deeper into you. “You’re an amazing player and so talented. Your squad holds a bright future. You’re all ambitious, and this won't knock you down. You’ll fight all those haters and show them the real Canada. Make your country proud. Every single one is behind you and got your back. And I… I’ll walk this road with you, besides you, steading you. I’ll catch you if you fall.” You kiss the top of her head, ignoring the doubting thoughts. “You achieved already so much this will not define your person.”
You place your hand on her check and push her slightly back from your chest. Eyes glued on her. Jessie’s cheeks strained with tears and eyes puffy and red, her eyes drifting from yours to your lips and back. You let your thumb run over her pink lips, licking your own. Her cheeks caged in your hands as you guide her face so you can peck her forehead, taking the decision for her before she can move and do something she’ll regret afterward.

updated list of mixed name ideas (jan 30, 2025)
in this list, there's any type of names (mostly for english-speaking people though): typical first names, noun names, mythology names, etc.
i sorted them into three categories: androgynous, feminine and masculine.
if you have more ideas of names for trans folks, writers, etc, just lemme know! (Can also be not-so-cool names for the writers, we need them for the asshole side characters :3)
i will update the list every time I have a lot of new name suggestions. you can always find the newest list under the tag #updated name list on my profile, which is currently this one.

𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪┊Get to Know Delilah Hughes !
Tumblr media
୨୧ Full Name, Delilah Claire Hughes
୨୧ Age, 19 years old
୨୧ Birth Place, Nashville, Tennessee
୨୧ Currently Living, Ann Arbor, Michigan
୨୧ Birth Parents, Michelle Logan, Billy Munson
୨୧ Adopted Parents, Ellen Hughes, Jim Hughes
୨୧ Siblings, Quinn Hughes, Luke Hughes, Jack Hughes
୨୧ Face Claim, Jessie Murph
𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪┊FUN FACTS !
୨୧ Delilah was born Wednesday September 22, 2004 at 2:47 AM.
୨୧ Her parents Michelle and Billy were teenage parents that were not ready to be parents and put her up for adoption.
୨୧ She was adopted by Ellen and Jim Hughes when she was six years old after the adults decided they wanted to adopt a little girl.
୨୧ All of the boys were super excited to be getting a little sister and Quinn quickly referred to her as ‘his baby’ even though she was six years old.
୨୧ Because of their one year age difference, Luke & Delilah were the closest (and still are), and after his move to New Jersey, the two stayed close.
୨୧ Quinn taught her how to ice skate when she was eight because she would always get sad when the boys would play hockey and she had to be on her own.
୨୧ From a young age, Delilah was always into music. She took a lot of lessons and learned to play tons of instruments.
୨୧ No matter where she went, she was always singing. She’d sing when she was bored, when she did her homework, when she did her chores.
୨୧ In 2019, she started posting videos of herself singing on TikTok and quickly went viral.
୨୧ She was signed to a record label in California but stays in Michigan with her parents and she goes back and forth to record music.
୨୧ In 2021, her song “Always Been You” gained over 70 million streams on Spotify.
୨୧ She has a game day tradition with each on of her brothers when she goes to their games; With Quinn, the two have a secret handshake, with Jack, the two of them always go out to dinner just the two of them, and with Luke, he always gets her to sign the tape on his stick, claiming it as good luck.
୨୧ Even though her brothers all play professional hockey, her favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks.
୨୧ Devil’s hockey players that she’s close to — Nico, Alex, Dawson.
୨୧ Canucks players that she’s close to — Brock, Elias, Thatcher.
୨୧ Other hockey players she’s close to — Trevor Zegras, Cam York, Cole Caufield, Adam Fantilli, Wyatt Johnson, Connor Bedard.
୨୧ When she writes a new song, Luke is always the first one to hear them before they are put out.
୨୧ Tate McRae is her best friend.
୨୧ She has the biggest crush on Mitch Marner, and had always begged Jack or Quinn to introduce them whenever she’s at games and they play the Maple Leafs.
୨୧ Her celebrity crush is Connor Bedard and Timothee Chalamet.
𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪┊EXTRA FACTS !
୨୧ She had a necklace that she wears for luck at concerts that had the first letter of her brothers; she’s never seen without it.
୨୧ She absolutely hates any sour candy, but she loves sour patch kids.
୨୧ Becuase Luke went to umich to play hockey at college, she’s friends with a lot of the boys for the team, but she’s the closest with Ethan Edwards and Luca Fantilli.
୨୧ She and Ethan dated for 3 months after Luke moved to New Jersey, but broke up after deciding that they were better as friends.
୨୧ She’s naturally a brunette but frequently dyes her hair black.
୨୧ She’s terrified of clowns.
୨୧ Her brothers are the only ones allowed to call her by her middle name.
୨୧ Much like Quinn, Delilah loves keeping to herself.
୨୧ She meets Connor at a Devils vs. Blackhawks game November 5, 2023.

Note
Do you have any mental image of what jessy and her Mistress look like?
(Sorry for sending you so many asks about this it's just my favorite hdg fic and i think about them all the time jskakdksksdkskkskdkskfkkjsk)
I tried to not overly nail jessy's look down because I'm a lazy writer uh so readers (and I) can project onto her. Though, as I've thought it through more, I guess she'd look like the kind of person who grew up with the kind of money to regularly throw botox parties in middle school, so she's probably a plastic >_< (also never feel sorry for a rich person)
For her owner, the plant I had on the mind when writing were some of the all-season red cultivars of the Japanese maple - they are a very pretty color
Just like, y'know, shaped like a taaaaall lady :3
(haha, dw, i'm glad you like it :3 -- also sorry for taking so long, i don't use tumblr all that much)
