Rickrolls are great, and I love your blog! I was just wondering if maybe you Wanna join me? Come and play But I might shoot you in your face Bombs and bullets will do the trick What we need here is a little bit of panic Do you ever wanna catch me? Right now I'm feeling ignored So can you try a little harder? I'm really getting bored Come on, shoot faster Just a little bit of energy, yeah I wanna try something fun right now I guess some people call it anarchy Let's blow this city to ashes And see what Pow-Pow thinks It's such pathetic neatness But not for long 'cause it'll get jinxed So much better, so much fun Let's start from scratch and blow up the sun Come on, shoot faster Just a little bit of energy, Yeah I wanna try something fun right now I guess some people call it anarchy Let's blow this city to ashes And see what Pow-Pow thinks It's such pathetic neatness But not for long 'cause it'll get jinxed Come on Come on And get jinxed
get jinxed, nerd
NO IVE BEEN JINXED.

The people who say "I'm not superstitious" in response to you calling their jinx (ex: "Aw man, I hope it doesn't rain." "Don't say that/Don't jinx it for the rest of us!")... Why?
Specifically when the conversation is joking or light-hearted. I can understand the response if the superstitious person is overbearing or preaching.
I could believe its a tone error on my part, or difficulty understanding tone on their part... If it was just one or two people. It's not, though! It happened on multiple occasions, and it confuses me every time.
I think part of my confusion is that I work in a place where it's an industry wide superstition. Not just in the hospital but in most first responder positions.
Go ahead and ask a first responder how their full moon is going. I dare you.
Say it's slow to a first responder. See who you piss off.
That's the general rule! Some people take it very seriously, and most others take it in a more playful way. Which is the atmosphere of my location.
So, I've learned from my environment to call the jinx almost reflexively. Its weird and annoying when someone says they don't believe in superstitions in response. Like!!! Okay, that's fine, you don't have to but my tone is jokey!! You jinxed us, and I called it as per the custom of our vocation!! I do not understand this response.
