These fluke hits can give you a career. Electric Six, for instance, keep releasing many records, but how many people know more songs from them than the piece on the link? Then again, there's something quite brilliantly stupid about the whole thing. Sure, the video also did a lot for the popularity of the composition, but a rarely noticeable quality of the song is – this is my opinion – that the ditty serves as one of the most scathing parodies of the scene at the time, which makes the whole chartbusting business the tune did a bit ironic. I mean, I can hear many of their peers singing the same hit, though would they have gone that tongue in cheek? Some might have, I agree, yet very few of them would reach the level of Electric Six.

tbh of all the allegoryness of dbh the most reealest one TO ME is connor + autism. not in a literal headcanon way bc it doesnt really make sense like that. but the main things that stick out to me is that hes specifically unique from the rest of the androids hes supposed to be more intelligent than the rest and more advanced. except... he understands the other androids and deviancy (emotions) EVEN LESS than the average joebot. also he has an intricate inner world and the way that He specifically gets bullied by gavin is like... that thing people do when they know youre autistic and want to fuck with you

((I had a dream last night that I had a cute little Von Kaiser therapy bot. He was less than a foot tall and looked a little like a Funko Pop. You could chat with him about your personal problems, and he’d offer a little sympathy or advice - a bit like Woebot. He’d also show a limited range of facial expressions with his mouth and eyebrows and talk back sternly if you threatened him.))
