Tbh there are so many, like excluding abusive relationships like Frankie and JJ, I guess John Paul and Carter, like that is one I see a lot of people shipping but as someone who experienced Lucas's storyline before their relationship, and obviously after Carter losing his mind, I feel like John Paul should have known better. Like the scene where he's like, something suspicious is going on between my ex who has tried to practice conversion therapy on me and one of the teenage boys who seems to be struggling with his queerness. guess I'll make out with him.

But also I get that was kind of the point, and then there was the scene in the pub where everyone was like john paul you have to be joking you were doing what with that guy???

I'd be curious to know what other ships people have spicy opinions of 👀

17. What's a book, movie, or show you think Dillon and Lucas would like?

Oooooh good question. I feel like Lucas would enjoy the scott pilgrim comics/movie/show, that's like one of the only things I could picture him reading. He would also enjoy gritty fantasy like six of crows, daughter of smoke and bone, cemetery boys, and the starless sea, but he is also very much the brand of teenage boy who calls reading lame, so maybe when he's older/dillon influences him into being a better person.

He'd also love other edgar wright films, like cornetto trilogy.

I feel like Dillon would like Holly Black books, like he would eat up coldest girl in coldtown and cruel prince. Also Casey McQuiston, like One Last Stop would be one he rereads a lot. He's also definitely a heartstopper enjoyer. And the graphic novel Laura Dean Keeps Breaking up with me.

Dillon seems like the type to enjoy sappy romances like Notting Hill and Red White and Royal Blue and probably a bunch of obscure indie films like Jongens, and he'd show Lucas and Lucas would end up sobbing. Also Dillon likes anime, like look at him you know I'm right.

Honestly that’s really hard to say, cos I love everything about my guy haha. But maybe eyes, happy trails aaannnd hands I think. I know these aren’t individual to guys but I gotta say I do like these features

Peoples ages typically catch my eye first, if I’m seeing them close up. Or the way that they treat other and act when they think others aren’t watching, I tend to pay a lot of attention to those around them

I don't really like the term labels I prefer identity, I'm a cisgender gay man

kinda. all my friends know i'm gay. I never came out to my immediate family, I just kind of stopped pretending, same with my dad's side of the family. I'm still not out to my mom's side of the family, and I don't think I'll ever be. Maybe after my grandparents pass away, but I don't really see it happening ever, really

pretty much, yeah

6- do you wish you came out sooner? Later? Was it the right time?

it was the right time for me, but it could've happened sooner lol. most of my friends to this day are my friends from middle/high school, i came out to them when we were starting college. nowadays only one of us remains straight.

11- Favorite (or just one you love) piece of LGBT media?

you know what, I really love Jongens! it's a dutch movie directed by Mischa Kamp and it's really good!

13- Do you choose to reclaim slurs? Why or why not?

yes, but i never really thought about it as "reclaiming slurs"

19- Do you feel safe and accepted in your local community?

uhh kind of a nuanced answer... on my personal social bubble (my family, friends, events i go to and places i frequent) i do. in my city as a whole, it depends. certain areas creep me out so i just don't go there, i live in a relatively safe place but there are certain establishments (my barber for example, or other more male dominated places) where i try to hide my queerness. I'm confident enough to go on dates on public places without being afraid of kissing or anything like that, but shit happens so you gotta stay alert you know

20- Do you feel like you "fit in" with the queer/Pride community overall?

honestly i feel like it's just such a vast and diverse community that everyone can find a "niche" where they "fit in", so yes i do

25- What queer discourse frustrates you the most?

I think maybe all of them? idk sometimes it feels pointless to have all these arguments over and over again when in reality homophobes don't care. they see us all as the same and won't stop hating you cause you're x and not y, we should spend time and effort working on that instead of debating over which pride flag is more progressive

Can’t believe we had my favorite trope

Nearly screamed when I saw it about to happen!

And Nick and Charlie sleeping in the same bed reminded me so much of Isak and Even 😩

And them on the bus was basically the same as the Jongens movie so this ep was good reference after good reference! 10/10
