FALL OF DEADWORLD UPDATE

Well, about two minutes ago I finished scripting the final page of the final episode of the latest series of DARK JUDGES: FALL OF DEADWORLD.

*Phew* This series has been quite a crazy ride -- for the story and the characters, and for artist Dave Kendall and myself who have both suffered / weathered some unpleasant health issues this year. But we're both back on track -- yay!

Think this might be my favourite series so far to write. (Though I really loved a couple episodes of the 'Visions of Deadworld' series we did a couple years back) Horror, violence, death, existential dread and some really nice / sweet / fun character beats in among the carnage. We say final goodbyes to some characters and completely up-end the status quo - again.

And that's... one helluva series cliffhanger.

i had a headcannon that könig picks and chews at his lips to distract himself (totally not projecting :')...) from the judgemental and disgusted glares he receives from those around him.

it's a habit that started when he was around seven years old, in primary school and feeling socially anxious in almost every situation he was placed in. as a result of his anxiety, he began to chew at his lips and cheeks to distract himself, keeping his hands busy to pick at his lips until they bled.

he never grew out of it, it felt almost comforting to distract himself, to fiddle with his fingers while biting his lips until his sharp, pearly teeth pierced through the delicate, soft skin, replacing it with scars that never faded after years. eventually, it caused faint but noticeable scars from his constant picking, a nonstop and constant stress reliever for könig, who'd find himself chewing the inside of his cheek until it bled and became painful.

he carries around chapstick to keep his lips soft for his significant other. who knows, perhaps you could allow him to distract himself by using his hands on your soft body, more specifically, between your thighs..? :3

I love the devil judge because it’s a a vicious social commentary on capitalism, corrupt government, eat the rich, grief and love. But also like. What about if you kidnapped a guy and then he just refused to leave your house. He’s cooking you food, he’s your nieces adopted father. What then huh. Huh.
