Jan van Eyck (Flemish, 1390-1441) The Last Judgment, ca.1440-41 The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City Psalm 58 God Judges the Earth Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title. If in very deed ye speak justice: judge right things, ye sons of men. For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth. The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things. Their madness is according to the likeness of a serpent: like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ears: Which will not hear the voice of the charmers; nor of the wizard that charmeth wisely. God shall break in pieces their teeth in their mouth: the Lord shall break the grinders of the lions. They shall come to nothing, like water running down; he hath bent his bow till they be weakened. Like wax that melteth they shall be taken away: fire hath fallen on them, and they shall not see the sun. Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath. The just shall rejoice when he shall see the revenge: he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner. And man shall say: If indeed there be fruit to the just: there is indeed a God that judgeth them on the earth. Douay-Rheims Bible, Bishop Challoner Revision

I did a powerful prayer too God tonight about Judgement
God told me
Remember the last time you had a restaurant dinner with your mother's church and the Woman Pastor (LEADER) almost sat were you were then judged you and sat the furtherest away from you in a dark corner and no person would talk to her!
Well, Adonai Elohim will treat everyone that has judged me - like this woman (that was my answer from God) or revelation...

Judging Others
1 ‘Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. 2 For with the judgement you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. 3 Why do you see the speck in your neighbour’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your neighbour, “Let me take the speck out of your eye”, while the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye.
Profaning the Holy
6 ‘Do not give what is holy to dogs; and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under foot and turn and maul you.
Ask, Search, Knock
7 ‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? 10 Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
The Golden Rule
12 ‘In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
The Narrow Gate
13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. 14 For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit
15 ‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will know them by their fruits.
Concerning Self-Deception
21 ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only one who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?” 23 Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.”
Hearers and Doers
24 ‘Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its fall!’
28 Now when Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astounded at his teaching, 29 for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes. — Matthew 7 | New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised (NRSVA) New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition, copyright © 1989, 1995 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Judge not, that you be not judged.  For with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the  measure you use, it will be measured to you.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the Name of the only Son of God. And this is the verdict, that the Light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
the Gospel According to John (3:16-21)
This is the point of Jesus coming into the world: to reveal to us how much God truly loves us. Still, we have to choose to accept and live in that love. Those who do not accept that love have already condemned themselves (because now they will have to live outside God's love). Those who accept that love have already received their reward (the possibility of living in that love).
Rev. Jude Winkler, O.F.M. Conv.'s commentary on John 3:16-21
And this is the verdict: Judgment is not only future but is partially realized here and now.
the NABRE commentary for John 3:19.

Today we celebrate the Venerable Nun Martyr Eudocia the Samaritan. Saint Eudocia was a pagan who led a sinful life of all earthly pleasures and debauchery. She one day, however, heard a monk in the house next door to hers reading from the scriptures about the coming Judgment and Christ's love and forgiveness of all who repent. These words pierced her soul and she approached the monk and asked him to instruct her more in the Christian life. She soon sold all her possessions and joined a convent as a nun. One day, one of her former lovers came to the monastery, begging her to return to her former life, but she reproved him and he was struck down dead by an invisible force. Out of pity, she prayed to the Lord to resurrect the man and he returned to life. During her life there was a great persecution of Christians, of which Eudocia suffered greatly and was eventually beheaded. May she intercede for us always + #saint #eudocia #eudokia #evdokia #nun #nunmartyr #martyr #venerable #holy #judgment #christ #repentance #jesus #jesuschrist #prayer #monastery #convent #repent #martyrdom #persecution #christian #christians #orthodox #saintoftheday (at Baalbek, Lebanon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpN2AMzoOPy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

"If anyone made me wait two thousand years and they still hadn't shown up, they'd be dead to me.
Adios amigo."
--
“Three gospels quote Jesus as saying that he’d be back in their lifetimes. That was over 2000 years ago. Christians are carrying around an expired bus pass, waiting for a bus that isn’t coming and doesn’t exist.” -- Docktor Jim
You can have "Jesus is real" or "Jesus is coming." You can't have both.

Paul Preaches in Athens
16 While Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was moved in him to see the city given to worshipping of images. 17 Then he disputed in the synagogue with the jews, and with the devout persons, And in the market daily with them that came unto him. 18 Certain Philosophers of the Epicures, and of the Stoyckes disputed with him. And some there were which said: what will this babbler say. Other said: he seemeth to be a tidings bringer of new devils, because he preached unto them Iesus, and the resurrection, 19 and they took him, and brought him into Marce street saying: may we not know what is this new doctrine whereof thou speakest. 20 For thou bringest strange tidings to our ears. We would know therefore what these things mean. 21 For all the Athenians and strangers which were there gave themselves to nothing else, but either to tell or to hear new tidings.
22 Paul stood in the midst of Marce street and said, ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are somewhat superstitious. 23 For as I passed by and beheld the manner how ye worship your goddes, I found an altar wherein was written: unto the unknown God. Whom ye then ignorantly worship, him shew I unto you: 24 God that made the world, and all that are in it, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, he dwelleth not in temples made with hands 25 neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed of any thing. Forasmuch as he giveth to all men life and breath every where, 26 and hath made of one blood all nations of men, for to dwell on all the face of the earth. And hath assigned times appointed before, And the ends of their inhabitation, 27 that they should seek God, if they might feel and find him, though he be not far from every one of us. 28 For in him we live, move, and have our being, as certain of your own poets said. For we are also his generation. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the generation of God, we ought not to think that the godhead is like unto gold, silver, or stone, graven by craft and imagination of man. 30 And the time of this ignorance God regarded not: but now he biddeth all men everywhere repent, 31 because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world according to righteousness, by that man, whom he hath appointed, and hath given faith to all men, after that he had raised him from death.
32 When they heard of the resurrection from death, some mocked, and other said: we will hear thee again of this matter. 33 So Paul departed from among them. 34 Certain men clave unto Paul and believed, among the which was Dionysius a senator, and a woman named Damaris, and other with them. — Acts 17:16-34 | Tyndale New Testament (TYN) Holy Bible, Tyndale New Testament (written in olde English), copyright © 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation.
