The Delicious and Nutritious Watermelon and How To Enjoy It!
Elfatica.com – Watermelon is a fruit that is enjoyed by many people around the world. Its sweet and juicy taste makes it a favorite summertime treat for many. But watermelon is not just tasty, it is also highly nutritious and can provide a wide range of health benefits.
Watermelon is a member of the Cucurbitaceae family, which includes other fruits such as cantaloupe, pumpkin, and cucumber. It is…
Wanted to try out some blue eyeshadow! I feel like I always do red, and wanted to do somethin a little different! And I found the ✨god tier✨ combo of black lipstick + lipgloss
Here’s my melon patch that’s 10x10ft. It mostly consists of watermelon but I do have a few cantaloupe growing as well (the lily pad-shaped leaves). The watermelon I have growing are regular watermelon (red), organic sugar baby watermelon (personal-sized/red), orange watermelon, and yellow golden honey watermelon. I only have about 5 regular cantaloupe growing but it’s common to have different color watermelon where I’m located.
Personally I’ve never grown watermelon but my father’s grandfather grew watermelons on a farm and my dad also grew personal sized watermelon years ago when I was really little but I’ve never done them before (along with the cantaloupe, but I’m super excited anyways).
As you can see everything looks amazing. These were directly sown into the ground around late March to late April. We planted the red and orange watermelon in late March but I couldn’t find yellow watermelon seeds until about mid-late April. The bigger plants are the orange and red watermelons and the cantaloupe is catching up but the yellow watermelon will be our last harvest (but that’s ok because I’ve got a long growing season). This patch gets mostly direct sun but does get shaded at about 6pm and I water twice a day due to how densely everything was planted. Because I’ve never done melons (watermelons specifically), I think I got a little overenthusiastic and over planted so to keep everything nice and healthy, I’ve been watering once in the morning and once in the evening.
While there aren’t any flowers yet, I’m expecting them very soon so stay tuned for an update in a few weeks.
Coconut jelly on a coconut shaped cup. Filled with watermelon and cantaloupe🍉🍈. Has a flavour of tropical island🏝. Slightly sweet with fresh melons. Convenient to eat on the go. Very popular that has to wait in queue for over an hour. From “Yes Coconut”
Hot on the heels of KFC’s Hot Devil Drumlets is McDonald's Singapore’s Sweet Paprika Chicken McCrispy (S$6.80 for two). The darker shade of orange comes from the sweet and flavourful mix of spices of paprika, red bell pepper and black pepper. It had a nice crunch when you sink in the teeth followed by slight kick of spiciness and sweet aftertaste. While not as spicy as the competitor, the balance of spices and sweetness win me over with its smoky flavours and crunch.

Also new on the menu is the Watermelon Cone and Twist Cone. Got the Watermelon Twist Cone (S$1.20) since it looks better on camera and also because my colleague warned me about the sweetness. The faint taste of watermelon is evident as I licked the ice cream cone. While McDonald's tried their best to imitate the sweetness of the watermelon, it came through as cane sugar saccharine and not the fruity sweetness of the actual fruit. This dessert is not to my liking.
