We're Just Friends! (Omega!bakugo x alpha!reader x omega!Izuku) pt. 2/?
Pt. 1 / pt. 3
Lore: Once an Alpha reaches 21 they get their first rut, they’d either already have their mates or the rut will act as a push for them to get together and bond.
Summary: Reader and Katsuki have been friends for years, and everyone expects them to get together, until reader rescues an omega that lives in their building, and things get a touch more... complicated
Warnings: omegaverse, obviously, yandere themes, Izuku b showin that stalker side more and more, reader is still dense asf, Bakugo b MAD, hella swearing-
“Katsuki, can you let me go? I have class-“ Your words were met with a grunt, Katsuki only tightening his grip on you.
“C’mon, it’s just one class and I can come back right after and we can nap?” You sighed when he still didn’t respond, you didn’t want to hurt him, but you were already late. (You’d hit snooze on your alarm a few too many times, but you couldn’t bring yourself to push Katsuki off until you absolutely had to.)
“I’m sorry-“ you kissed his forehead, smiling at the faint purr he let out. Then you pinched his scent gland, and the omega was springing out of bed and snarling like a cat when you stepped on its tail.
“I know! I know! I’m so sorry, I promise I’ll run back!” You rushed to throw on a pair of jeans, stumbling around as you pulled them up. Katsuki only growled at you from the bed, watching you struggle with dark amusement, sleep still heavy on his mind.
“Text me if you need me to pick anything up on the way home!” You pressed a kiss to his forehead before you left, feeling slightly less guilty as his scent returned to its usual content aroma.
“Hey! L/n, wait up!” You were getting into the elevator when a familiar voice made you turn around, and you waved as Izuku ran down the hall, clutching his backpack like a lifeline.
“Midoriya! Hey! Where ya headed this early?” You pressed the ground button once he was finally in the elevator, biting the inside of your cheek when the elevator closed and you remembered just how potent his scent really was. It was fine, you could handle this, just a minute or two-
“Oh! I just got accepted into UA university! I’m doing forensic science!” Midoriya chirped, and you felt your jaw drop.
“No way! That’s my degree, what’re the odds!” You grinned, missing the way he relaxed when you didn’t suspect anything. “I can show you around if you want?” The elevator dinged and Midoriya beamed as the two of you stepped out.
“Oh really? Are you sure it’s not a bother?” His scent took on a slightly worried turn, and you were reassuring him without a second thought.
“Yeah it’s no bother at all! It’ll be nice to have someone in my classes, my friends and my roommate are doing music degrees so we don’t really have classes together!” The two of you fell into step perfectly, and you couldn’t help but flush when Midoriya walked so close your sides brushed together.
The walk to university had never seemed this short before, and the two of you were getting to class in what felt like record time. The two of you took a seat up the back, barely having time to get your books out before Mr. Aizawa entered, a thermos of coffee bigger than your head slammed down in the desk and the class shut up, the lecture beginning immediately.
“How did you find Mr. Aizawa?” You asked as soon as the two of you were outside, Midoriya had been totally engrossed in the lesson, filling five pages compared to your two. Hey, school had never been your strong point, and you wouldn’t have even made it through high school without Katsuki helping you study, even if he did yell at you for being stupid like, a lot.
“Oh the lesson was great! He seems kinda grumpy for a teacher, but he covers a lot of details and-“
“Hey, Y/n! Who’s the fresh meat! And why’s Bakugo in such a foul mood, what’d you do dude?” A familiar voice interrupted Midoriya, and you waved as Mina and Denki came into view, Denki’s arm slung around Mina’s shoulder.
“I didn’t know Katsuki had class today, why isn’t he with you guys?” You couldn’t help but frown, it wasn’t like Katsuki to not mention having a class, especially when it was in the morning like yours.
“Oh, Kiri and him had something to take care of!” Mina chirped, and a flash of something went through your heart… maybe Katsuki just didn’t want you as an alpha, and Kiri was all sorts of charming-
“L/n, don’t be rude, introduce us!” Mina was staring right at Midoriya, who had moved to stand slightly behind you.
“Oh right! Sorry! This is Izuku Midoriya, we ran into each other yesterday and then realised he lived right opposite Katsuki and I!” You ruffled the back of your hair nervously, and Midoriya couldn’t help but glance at your scent gland, your unmarked scent gland. So you and Kacchan hadn’t sealed the deal, huh? Perfect-
“Oh, he’s so cute! I’m Mina Ashido and this is my mate Denki Kaminari! What are you studying?” Midoriya seemed to relax next to you and you couldn’t help but smile, Mina was always so good at making people feel included.
“You know… you can call me by my first name, if you wanted.”
“Huh-?” Those words had you stumbling over your feet and almost face planting onto the pavement. That was a courting invitation- plain and simple, and your brain short circuited as you turned to face the omega. He couldn’t mean that, right, you’d only known him a day and you’d been far from charming and- was Midoriya holding a blanket?
“I know it’s kinda soon but being with you just feels right- and you’re such a good alpha I’m sure you have dozens of omegas you could choose from and I don’t even know when your birthday is but I couldn’t not say anything so maybe if you wanted to scent this blanket I could put it in my nest and we could start the courting process...“ Midoriya trailed off when you were still silent, eyes darting between him and the blanket and your mouth wide open in disbelief, and your happy scent pumping out in waves was the only thing stopping him from crying.
“M-Me? You want… me… to be your alpha-?” Your face went bright red as you finally processed what was happening, a warmth quickly spreading out from your chest. Katsuki briefly crossed your mind, but then you remembered he didn’t want you- and you’d be a liar if you said you didn’t want Midoriya.
“Mid- Izuku, sorry, I’d be honoured!”
“Bakubro- what do you think of f/ns new friend, have you met him yet?” Denki called when he and Mina finally found Katsuki and Kirishima outside one of the cafes next to the university, and the blonde almos dropped the bag of food he was holding.
“Ha- What the fuck do you mean new friend! They didn’t mention anything to me-!” Katsuki was already yelling, and Kirishima sighed as the omegas scent took on a burned tinge, waving in apology to the passer bys that frowned.
“Yeah, apparently he just moved into your building, too!” Mina continued, the two of them far from surprised by this reaction.
“What’s his fucking dynamic- if he’s the same asshole from last night I swear to god-“
“Oh… so you haven’t met him yet, he’s an omega and I’m sure you’ll like him!” Mina waved her hands as she tried to diffuse the situation. It almost did, until Katsuki remembered that scent from last night.
“What does… what does he look like?”
“Oh he’s short! Green hair that was kinda a mess but he had the cutest freckles-“ Mina started, giving Denki a light shove when he interrupted.
“And his eyes man! Biggest puppy dog eyes and they were the brightest green colour!” Katsukis blood went cold with each word, dread and rage quickly settling on his chest, and he could barely ask the next question.
“What’s his name?”
“Um I’m not sure- what do you reckon babe?” Denki turned to Mina and she frowned as she tried to remember.
“I think it was Izuku Midoriya!”
That was the nail in the coffin, an involuntary growl bubbling up in Katsuki’s chest as his vision went red. Why the fuck was Deku back?
You slowly opened the door to your apartment, frowning slightly when Katsukis scent was fainter than usual. He mustn’t have gotten home yet. You’d invited Izuku over to study, (you could really use the help, and he’d taken so many notes-)
“There’s the couch with the TV, or we could go to my room but it’s kinda small and-“
“Wow, Y/n, I thought you just invited me over to study-!” Your face went red at what Izuku was implying, and you were falling over yourself to insist you did just want to study and there weren’t any ulterior motives. Izuku was… slightly disappointed, but there’d be time for that later, so he merely took a seat on the couch and got his books out while you got the two of you a drink and some snacks. The lounge was smaller than his, but it was cozy, and the couch was far more comfortable than his. Plus, the whole place reeked like you and Kacchan, and it took everything Izuku had to stop himself purring, nothing had ever felt so right.
“I didnt know what you wanted so I just grabbed a variety, and I hope jasmine tea is okay? It’s my favourite and I’m kinda out of anything else- Katsukis meant to be doing a grocery run soon anyway-“ you set the tray down next to Izuku’s notebooks, plopping down on the couch with a sigh and taking a second before you grabbed your own books.
“Let’s get down to it then, huh?”

Not Scared of You, but Scared-Midoriya
Tumblr media
Main Masterlist MHA Masterlist
+Everyone knows how Midoriya is a sweet little puppy most of the time. But most know that he can get scary when he is angry, prime example: UA Sports Festival. One person he has never let his anger out around directly is Y/N. One day, she witnesses it first hand and Midoriya doesn’t realize until later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laughter filled the common room as Sero and Jiro were done with a karaoke performace. Jiro was good as always but Sero was messing up on purpose. Kaminari was laughing so hard I thought he was going to short circuit. Even Bakugo was smiling a bit.
“Alright, alright. Okay whose next?” Mina got up and aske. I finally caught my breath and turned to look at Midoriya behind me. I was sitting on the floor in front of him. He had his head propped up on his arm, staring off into space.
“Hey, you okay?” I asked. He took a bit to answer but only gave me a questioning hum as a response. He lifted his head to look at me. I turned around completely laying my arms across his lap before reaching up to trace the side of his face. He closed his eyes, pressing into my fingertips ever so slightly. “You okay there, honey?’”
“Yeah I’m fine.” He whispers, kissing my fingertips before looking away again. I cocked my head to the side in wonder. He normally never acts like this, at all. I set my head against his knee and stared up at him. I saw his eyes look at me for a second before his hand went to my hair and began running through it.
“L/N, how about youuuu… Nope, you’re busy. Moving on.” Mina called for me but decided against it. I closed my eyes and relaxed, enjoying the soft moment.
“Oi!” Bakugo yelled out in his usual annoyed tone. I inwardly groaned. “This is getting boring and a little annoying.” Everyone started to whine, saying they were having fun and that he was a party pooper. “Oh, can it you…”
“Oh will you give it a rest Kacchan. Everyone else is having fun so if you’re bored, go ahead and find something to do on your own. There’s the door or elevator.” The whole room went quiet. I looked up at Midoriya surprise.
“Baby…”
“What did you say to me you Shitty Deku?!” Bakugo was on his feet in less the than a second. Midoriya’s hand stilled in my hair. I saw anger flare in his eyes even though he didn’t make a move to look at Bakugo.
“I said there’s the door.” He repeated. My worry from earlier tripled. I looked back at Bakugo seeing him seething.
“Listen here you shitty nerd, I don’t know what got you all brave and shit but I ain’t having it. You don’t call the shot around here.”
“And neither do you Kacchan!” Midoriya was up on his feet in an instant. I jumped back as fast as I could but tumbled a little. Hands caught me as I nearly fell back. I looked up to see Kiri and he pulled me back more, away from the two.
“Bros, how about we calm this down a notch?” He tried but the two ignored him. They continued to argue, getting louder and louder. I knew Midoriya could get mad from stories the others told me but I had never seen it firsthand. They were right when they said it rivaled Bakugo’s.
“You know what Bakugo, I can’t stand you right now. I just want to…I’m gonna…”
“What Deku? You’re going to do what?” Bakugo yelled back crossing his arms over his chest. He was smirking, thinking he caught Midoriya in a bluff.
“Midoriya, baby. I think you need to cool off.” I tried, getting on my knees to reach forward and grab his hand. He exploded in that moment.
“No!” He flung his hands out. I jumped back to avoid being hit. I landed against Tsuyu, who pulled me into her side. Midoriya blew up, ranting about I don’t even know what anymore. I was so blindsided by the shock that I stopped listening. I only came back to when Tsuyu, Uraraka, and Kiri were trying to get my attention.
“What?” I asked looking around. Midoriya was gone but Bakugo was still there, quietly seething but when he looked at me, I saw a slight bit of worry in his eyes.
“Are you okay?” Uraraka asked.
“Yeah, you seemed to zone out there for a few minutes.” Kiri said, brushing hair out of my face and checked me over.
“Yeah, yeah. I just was…surprised. I have never seen him act like that.” My voice got quieter as I finished my sentence. I stood up and brushed off me pants. “Where did he go?”
“Out for a run.” Tsuyu told me.
“But you better give him time to cool off.” Bakugo chimed in, surprising me. “He is really riled.” He said before turning to leave in the elevators. The whole mood had shifted drastically in the room.
“I think I am going to go to bed.” I said softly before leaving the room without another word. I got up to the 4th floor and began to walk to my room.
“Hey.” I stopped and saw Bakugo. I looked at him in question.
“What are you doing here? In the girls wing?”
“I wanted to tell you that Deku…ahhh!” He huffed before looking at me intently. “Have you ever wondered why you never saw him angry before? No? Well it’s because he never wanted you too! He was always pretty good at keeping you away from him when he is angry but I don’t know what was up with him tonight. He seemed to forget that or something.”
“Yeah.” I looked down at the ground.
“Don’t let it bother you or whatever. He’ll always be the same shitty Deku.” He grumbled before leaving. I sighed before walking into my room. I didn’t turn on the lights, letting my teal string lights glow lead my way to the bed. I plopped down, throwing my arm over my eyes.
“What in the world…” I whispered before getting under the covers and drifting off.
*Next Day*
“And you have to basically read between the lines, Kaminari.” I explained while reading over the part of the homework he was having trouble with.
“Why does English have to be so hard?” He groaned. I chuckled but shrugged. “But I have to admit, you helping me is better than when Baku helps. He normally is hitting me over the head within the first few minutes.”
“Oh, do you think it will help?” I rolled up my magazine. He yelped and dramatically held up his arms. We both started laughing.
“Hey darling.” I heard Midoriya say behind me before kissing my cheek. I jumped and looked at him before down at the table.
“Hi baby.” He hummed and walked over to speak with Iida. I could feel Kami’s eyes on me.
“Are you that shaken up over last night?” He asked softly. I looked at him before looking back at his work. “You nearly jumped mile…”
“Kami.” I looked up at him. He looked at me with sympathy before nodding. He turned back to his book. Bakugo plopped down on the other side of Kami with his own homework. He looked at me before at Midoriya. He raised an eyebrow in question. I just looked back the magazine. He sighed.
A little while later, the two boys left to go do some training. I had switched to reading a book as other’s left the room to do their own things. I didn’t realize how many people had left until I felt someone sit next to me. I looked up to see Midoriya. He was smiling at me. I gave him a smile back.
“Good book?” He asked. I nodded, sitting up slowly. I marked my place and set it aside. I set my hands in my lap.
“How was your day?” I asked. He smiled wide.
“Better than yesterday for sure.” He chirped. “Todoroki and I trained early this morning before he insisted on us going and getting Soba for the umpteenth time this week. Before we came back to relax for the day.” He cheerfully explained. “But then Mineta of course came along but we went whoop and…” He threw his arm out in front of him as he raised his voice. I flinched slightly and he noticed immediately, freezing. “Darling? Are you okay?”
“Y-yeah, I’m fine.” I said while grounding myself. His eyes looked me over before looking at his raised arms and back. His eyes glazed over for a second before they began to glisten with tears.
“You’re scared of me.” He said simply, lowering his arms into his lap. “Because of last night.”
“Midoriya, baby.” I started but he stood up.
“I’m such an idiot. I never wanted you to see me like that.” He wrung his hands through his hair roughly. “I scared you. You’re scared of me. I, I, I…”
“No, no. I was just spooked…shocked.” I said getting up. He shook his head before looking at me. He had tears running down his face. I went to say something but he ran off before I could. “Midoriya!” He ran out of the dorms.
“What’s wrong, L/N?” Uraraka came up running up with Iida.
“He ran off because he thinks I’m scared of him. After last night.” I said strained. “I was just spooked. I had never seen him like that, it’s new. Strange but I’m not scared!! I’m concerned!” I stopped in my tracks. “I’m not scared.” I said more to myself.
“L/N?” Iida called to me.
“I have to go.” I said taking off after Midoriya. I ran down the sidewalks, hunting for my missing boyfriend. I ran past classmates, asking if they had seen him. A couple had seen him but not sure where he went. I was getting really worried when Bakugo came running up.
“What happened?” He asked, breathing heavy. “Did he find out your reaction to him? That you’re scared?”
“I’m not scared Bakugo. Im concerned. Worried. Something is wrong and that’s what made him blow up last night. You only ignited the fuse which you are very good at doing by the way.” I sassed. His eyes narrowed.
“Why you…” He stopped himself before he looked at me again. “Come on, I know where he went.” He said before grabbing my hand and pulling me along. He ran us out of the school grounds and down the street. We ran for a while before we came across a piece of shore line. “He’ll be down on the beach.”
“Thanks Bakugo.” I said before running off.
“Whatever!” He yelled. I ran down the steps and into the sand. I looked around for my green haired boyfriend overlooking the water. I caught sight of him on the rocks. I ran, slipping in the sand. I got to the rocks and clambered up them.
“Midoriya!” I called out to him. He whipped around. He tried to get up but I was on him, hugging him from behind. “Please don’t run from me Izuku.” I whispered into the back of his neck. He was tense in my arms.
“But I scared you.” He whimpered. “I promised I would never…”
“You didn’t scare me Izuku.” I said. I felt him shake. “Okay, I was scared in the moment because it was new. You didn’t scare me, the situation scared me. I was, no am more concerned for you. You were off last night before it happened and then you blew up.”
“I know.”
“I promise, I’m not scared of you. I am just worried.” I moved to sit next to him, my back to the water. “What’s wrong?”
“Noth…” He cut short at my stare. “Alright, alright. I am just stressed and tired and I don’t even know what else. I am just…” He dropped his head in his hands. I could hear him sniffling. I reached up and pulled his head up. I rubbed my thumbs over his cheeks.
“Come here.” I said. He latched onto me in the next second, crying into my shoulder. “You’re pushing yourself to hard, Izuku. I have never seen you so out of it like you were last night. I know you fight with Bakugo a lot but that was something else entirely. You need to slow down. Please.”
“I know. I will, I promise.” He whimpered. I started humming some random song to calm him down. After a few minutes he had finally stopped crying. In the time, he had curled into a ball in my lap. He looked up at me with watery eyes and a small smile. “How did you find me, by the way?”
“Just a friend giving me a tip and a direction to go.” I said while running my finger through his curls. I felt him relax in my lap. We just sat there for a while listening to the waves, the birds, and each other’s breathing. At some point we adjusted to where we were cuddling.
“It was Kacchan, wasn’t it?” He said suddenly causing me to laugh. “It was, wasn’t it?! Haha, I knew he cared!” He cheered, fist pumping the air. I laughed at my boy as he did a happy dance. I just shook my head as he turned back into his normal self.
MASTERLIST
...
It didn't exactly surprise Izuku when the hoard of journalists jumped him once he arrived at the hero agency. They surrounded his car as soon as he parked. We wasn't sure how they could pop up that fast with all that heavy camera equipment. They probably trained for it, it seemed they literally chased leads these days.
He stepped out, wearing his signature smile he'd perfected years ago for the public. Camera's and microphones were shoved in his face as they hit him with all sorts of questions. So many talked at once that they drowned each other out.
"Deku, Deku!" Once of them shouted. "Tell us, what have you been doing these past two weeks?"
Deku didn't see a way out of the little crowd that formed around him.
"Have you been investigating the murder of Kanaye Tatsuya?" Another asked.
He gently pushed his way through, he really didn't feel like answering any questions.
"What about your wife?" Someone stubbornly blocked his path. "How is she handling all this?"
"Yes," Another added. "Where is Y/N Midoriya? What precautions are you taking to protect your family?"
They were rapid firing questions too fast for him to think of any safe answers to give.
"Do you think villains will continue to target your family?" Someone yelled above the rest of the chatter.
Izuku glanced around him, nervously flexing his hands. He'd forgotten how...persistent these reporters could be. Camera's flashed in his face. They were waiting for him to show some sort of emotion, not that they didn't know he was the emotional type, that was public knowledge by now. They were waiting for something juicy to gossip about, but he held firm, keeping that soft smile on his face as he tried to think of something to say that would satiate them for the time being. It was a hard thing to do when surrounded by wolves, ready to rip apart their prey.
"Well, I, uh..." Yeah, he was great with words. "Mr. Tatsuya's death is under police investigation. They will do everything in their power to find the one responsible."
"Are you saying that you're not involved in this case anymore?"
"I-"
Someone cut him off. "Are you happy Mr. Tatsuya is dead? He kidnapped and attacked your wife, you must hate the man."
Izuku frowned. They were trying to lure him into a trap, to get him to say something he'd eventually regret.
"Some are saying you had a hand in this?" A man shouted from somewhere within the crowd, holding his mic over a few heads. "Is that true?"
Izuku's calm façade faltered for a moment, ready to counter him, but he froze. He couldn't let himself get bested by some hungry gossipers. He looked for another escape route, but they had surrounded him with a wall of people.
One of the reporters stepped too close to Izuku, a cheeky looking redhead with a wide grin. "There are a lot of rumors out there. Some are saying a diehard fan killed him for you, yet there are others that say it was a plot devised by a drug ring based in Tokyo." She stuck the mic in his face. "What are your thoughts Deku?"
Woah, that information was not supposed to be public knowledge and based on the reactions of the others, they didn't know this info yet either. How the hell did this woman know about the Kobaruto? Someone was feeding her information.
The others went wild, tossing crazy and speculative assumptions around, waiting for him to answer the question.
"Uh..."
Fortunately, he was cut off when someone roared behind him.
"Buzz of vultures!" Bakugo yelled. "This is private property."
The reporters took one look at Bakugo and scrambled away as he stalked over. Even they weren't dumb enough to mess with someone like Katsuki Bakugo, especially if he appeared to be in a bad mood, which was most of the time. They learned early on that the now number two hero doesn't take ambush journalism kindly.
"Kacchan?" Izuku blinked. "What are you doing here?"
"What do you think dumbass?" Bakugo grabbed Izuku by the collar of his jacket and dragged him into the building.
Once they were inside and out of prying eyes, Izuku freed himself, straightening out his jacket. Bakugo was wearing civilian clothes which surprised Izuku, he was supposed to be working today.
"You found something, didn't you?" Izuku's eyes widened.
Bakugo growled and kept walking. "Office, now."
Izuku caught up to him and they walked together through the building. Every time they ran into an intern or sidekick, they were stopped as they welcomed Deku back. Bakugo looked irritated, but kept his mouth shut. The entire place seemed to buzz with excitement now that Deku had returned. It had been a strange two weeks without him there.
When Izuku finally made it to his office, he saw Shoto waiting inside, leaning on one of the couches.
"Shoto," Izuku paused at the open doorway. "Is everything alright?"
Shoto straightened himself, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Yes, things are fine."
Bakugo pushed past Izuku and sneered at Shoto. "What's this bastard doing here?'
"I could say the same for you." He crossed his arms.
Izuku glanced outside before shutting the door. "Kacchan is helping me with the investigation."
"I came to offer my assistance as well."
"Pass, we got enough losers on this case as it is." Bakugo stuck his thumb at Izuku.
"Midoriya, I want to help."
Izuku looked at Shoto. He valued him as a close friend and comrade, probably his closest friend, and yet these past few weeks were strenuous on both parties. Shoto was still holding that anvil of self-hatred over his head and it was getting heavier and heavier to carry.
He blamed himself for almost seriously injuring you when they had all come to your rescue. Since then, Shoto seemed to only be distancing himself from the both of you. He barely talked to Izuku, who had tried several times to get through to him, and completely avoided you altogether, as if that would somehow fix things. Poor Momo was acting as middle-man between the two of you since Shoto refused to talk.
"Alright," He said after a long moment of debate. "But you can't keep avoiding...people. This case revolves around her."
Shoto lowered his head. "I apologize. I realize that I've been acting-"
"Like an asshole?" Bakugo supplied.
"Childish." He finished. "There is a lot of unresolved issues that I hadn't realized were still there." He looked up. "But I want to help now."
Izuku studied him. He was standing taller, a more confident shine to his eyes, something he was seriously lacking these last few weeks. Between the cracks of that old familiar wall Shoto had buried himself behind again, he saw remnants of his friend.
Izuku beckoned him to follow as he went behind his desk. He set his bag on the top and pulled out a large stack of folders. It was a mess of sticky notes, tabs, and a few coffee stains. His handwriting was scribbled in every blank space he could find, all his thoughts put in pen.
"These are the case files." He handed them to Shoto. "Everything Tsukauchi gave me."
Shoto leafed through them. "Are you sure it's the Kobaruto behind this?"
"I know they're connected somehow." He crossed his arms. "Tatsuya was dealing with them, and they're the only known suppliers of Trace."
"Trace. It's fairly new, right?" Shoto pulled out a crumpled paper and looked it over.
"Yeah, started showing up a little over six months ago." He nodded. "It's reminiscent of Trigger. They share similar traits. I wouldn't be surprised if this is some variant of it."
"Trigger. The quirk enhancing drug." Shoto looked up. "I haven't seen that in a while."
"Apparently, Trace is the new drug of choice now." Izuku narrowed his eyes. "But they're careful who they sell to. We haven't been able to catch any of the dealers yet."
"And we can't rely on the druggie's." Bakugo said. "Trace degrades your mental state." He shook his head. "No, more like shreds it. Even if Tatsuya wasn't killed, he was never going to recover after months of that kind of abuse."
"What do you know about the Kobaruto?" Shoto asked.
"That's the problem." Izuku frowned. "We know next to nothing about them. They appeared out of the blue one day with a brand new drug. They might be small, but they know how to evade us."
"That's because I wasn't looking for them before." Bakugo punched his hands together. "I'll find them and destroy every last one of those bastards."
Shoto placed the files back inside the folder as neatly as he could. The colored tabs stuck out at various angles looking like the entire might explode any second.
He tapped the top of the folder. "I'll follow up on some of these leads. I'll let you know what I find."
"Shoto," Izuku called as he turned to leave. "Don't talk to anyone else about this. For now, it's still technically in Tsukauchi's jurisdiction. There is no official co-op on this."
He nodded and left quietly, closing the door behind him.
As soon as they were alone, Bakugo rounded on Izuku. "You sure he's up for this? The bastard's been flakey as of late." He narrowed his eyes. "I can beat some sense into him."
Izuku stared at the door. "You know he's always been insecure about his fire. What happened just pushed him over the edge." He shook his head. "He won't talk to me about it and he won't even look at Y/N."
Bakugo rested his palms on the back of a chair. "He's an idiot, that's nothing new."
Izuku plopped in his chair behind the desk and rubbed his head. "You found something right?"
Bakugo glanced at the door before sitting in front of the desk. "Yeah, about that imposter at the police station. I've been looking into it."
Izuku sat up. "What did you find?"
"Nothing much." He grumbled. "If this guy was good enough to impersonate All Might, in front of Tsukauchi no less, then he's good at covering this tracks."
Izuku leaned back, folded his hands and stared out the large windows that covered half his office. The first sign of the sun was just coming over the horizon and cast gentle waves of light through the office. It usually calmed him down, but today, it seemed like his nerves were ready to break straight through the window.
"This isn't good."
"No, it isn't." Bakugo agreed. "But I did find one thing."
Izuku looked back at him.
Bakugo pulled out his phone and set in on the desk. The screen showed a grainy picture taken in the dark. It was hard to make it out, but it was clearly a figure that was running across what looked to be a rooftop. The only distinguishable trait was the blue Kabuki mask underneath a black hood.
Izuku picked up the phone and examined the picture closely. "Who is this?"
"Don't know." Bakugo crossed his arms, a deep frown on his face. "This is the only solid picture I could find. Guy's a ghost."
"You think he's connected to the Kobaruto somehow?" Izuku zoomed in on the mask.
"There's been rumors spreading around the underworld, about a man in a mask." Bakugo took the phone back.
"So how's he connected?"
"Eyewitness reports put him in their territory." He leaned forward. "I don't have any solid evidence yet, but if I had to guess, I would say he's one of their runners."
"If we can bring this guy in- Izuku stood up. "-then he could actually give us some answers."
"Now that sounds fun." Bakugo smirked. "He likes to roam the Maridun district, but he only seems to come out at night to play."
"Then we'll wait for night to head out."
"No way, this is my lead." Bakugo stood up.
"But-"
"No. Besides, you have other things to take care of." He narrowed his eyes, daring Izuku to argue.
They had a glaring contest before Izuku huffed and looked down. Again, he felt conflicted. He really wanted to track down this guy. The sooner they could solve this case, the sooner everyone could get their lives back on track. On the other hand, he didn't want to leave you alone for so long, not when there were so many serious dangers still lurking out there. He ran through all the scenarios in his mind, trying to find a way to do both, but Bakugo was right.
"Fine," He relented. "But at least bring someone with you. Shoto wou-"
"Hell no!" Bakugo yelled. "I'm not going anywhere with two face."
"Kacchan..."
Bakugo ground his teeth and looked away. "I'll bring Kirishima in on this. I trust him."
Izuku nodded. "Fine. Keep me updated."
"I'll let you know when I bring this fucker in." Bakugo pocketed his phone and turned to leave.
"Thanks," Izuku said quietly as he reached the door. "Kacchan."
Bakugo looked him over and left.
Izuku deflated into his chair, running a hand through his hair. This case was growing more and more complicated by the minute. There was just no way that Tatsuya's death was a coincidence, everyone knew that, even the media had come to the same conclusion. There was something bigger behind this, he was sure of it. That's why he didn't want to leave you, even if Ochaco and Momo were with you. You were his responsibility to keep safe and so far, he'd failed pretty miserably at that.
His phone rang, startling him. He pulled it out of his pocket, looked at the caller I.D. and saw your name. A million thoughts ran through his head, most of them not good, as he answered the phone.
"Y/N, is everything okay?" He practically yelled into the phone.
"What? Of course." You answered casually. "I just thought I'd call to make sure everything was going well. The media's already twisting your words."
"You know you shouldn't watch the news." He leaned back in his chair. "It'll rot your common sense."
"Yeah, well, there's not much else to do when you're stuck inside all day." You grumbled.
Izuku frowned. "I'm sorry. This is my fault-"
"Hey, what did I say about throwing self-pity parties?" You scolded.
He rubbed his eyes with a smirk. "Sorry."
"And stop it with all this sorry crap. Sorry is for idiots who actually did something stupid." You huffed. "And don't think I don't see all those heroes casually strolling past the house. I know you asked them to."
Izuku rubbed his neck. "Uh, well..."
"Yeah, yeah," You sighed. "I know you're just worried. I also know that you're keeping things from me."
"W-what do you mean?" A lump formed in his throat.
"I know there are certain things you don't tell me. Stuff about your hero work and I get that, but..." You paused. "You would tell me if there was more to this, right?"
You were smart. You could always catch him in a lie. He hated lying to you, it felt horrible, but he also hated the look that crossed your face whenever Tatsuya was brought up. It was still affecting you big time and he couldn't stand to see you so upset. Nothing good would come of it if you were let in on the case, so there was really no need to tell you. At least that's how he justified it.
"Look, Y/N, I-"
"Save it." You interrupted him. "Just go back to work...and stay safe."
"Yeah." He said quietly. "I'll be home before dinner."
"Ok. Love you." You muttered.
"Love you too."
You hung up before he could even finish, leaving him with a sour taste in his mouth. You had every right to be upset, but you were keeping it all to yourself. You didn't let Izuku in on your personal thoughts anymore like you used to. There was a growing gap between the two of you and he didn't like it one bit. Everything he did seemed to only widen that gap and he wasn't sure how to build the bridge over it.
He groaned and laid his head on the desk. The cool wood felt comforting and he closed his eyes for a minute, trying to get in the right headspace to start the day. He was scheduled to start patrols again, but at the moment, his heart just wasn't in it.
After awhile, the phone on his desk rang and he almost vaulted out of his chair to reach it. "Hello?"
"Midoriya." It was Tsukauchi. "Sorry to call so early."
It's fine chief, what is it?" Izuku felt his stomach churn, Tsukauchi's voice sounded tight.
"You know the Hashira gang?" He asked. "They run drugs, mainly operating out in the Agamar Quarter."
Izuku nodded. "Yeah, small-time. What about them?"
"We just found them."
"What do you mean?" He had an excellent guess as to what he meant.
"They were all killed last night." Tsukauchi said. "Got an anonymous tip this morning on where to find them. It's a real mess out here."
"The entire gang was taken out?" Izuku stood up, gripping onto the cord. "A gang war?"
It couldn't be a coincidence that a rival gang was just exterminated. This was a big move, one with a lot of consequences.
"Possibly. We just got here. I'll know more when I inspect the scene, but," He paused. "Well, you need to get down here. There's something you need to see."
If that didn't spell ominous, Izuku wasn't sure what would.
"I'm on my way."
It seemed he'd have to postpone patrols for a little while longer.
Summary: Shouto refuses to call Katsuki after falling sick. When Katsuki comes home, he makes it clear that Shouto should never do that again, all while fussing over his sick husband.
Warning: Emetophobia/vomit, nudity
Shouto plopped to the floor.
"Sh-Shouto?!" Izuku rushed to his side. "What happened? Are you—" He squatted down beside Shouto and placed a steadying hand on his best friend's back. "Are you hurt anywhere? Was it a quirk?"
"Not well, I think," Shouto replied. His vision was hazy with exhaustion.
Pressing a hand to Shouto's forehead, Izuku muttered, "Ah… you're heating up. It's not your quirk, is it?"
Shouto shook his head.
"It's a fever then… You should go home to rest."
"Mm…"
"Should I call you a cab?"
"Mm…"
Izuku sighed. "If you weren't feeling well, you should have just called in, Shouto. You overwork yourself so much. Should I call Kacchan too?"
At breakfast, Katsuki mentioned something about going for an important briefing today. Shouto thought it might be best not to bother him so he shook his head lightly. "It's just a bit of a fever."
Izuku nodded. "If you say so."
+++
Shouto found his hands hovering back to his phone before he tucked them back under the blanket again. Things had gotten worse as the day went on. He felt weak and he was sweating bullets but trembling like a newborn fawn.
Multiple times throughout the day, he found himself typing in the textbox in the chat he had with Katsuki. His messages ranged from "Im not well" to "can you come home pls?" All of them were eventually deleted and his phone placed at his nightstand.
The frequency at which he reached for his phone increased as his discomfort increased. His world spun nauseatingly even as he lay in his bed and his stomach was beginning to do dangerous twists and flips.
During one of the down-times, he trudged over to the kitchen and grabbed a plastic bag from the basket where Katsuki kept them. He hadn't puked anything out yet so he just kept the plastic bag clenched between his sweaty fingers, lying in a pathetic foetal position on the bed.
Just as he leaned over the plastic bag for the nth time, almost but never managing to vomit, he heard a soft click from the living room. Shouto peered at the clock. Ah, was it evening already? The whole house was unlit so Katsuki probably didn't know Shouto was at home.
Katsuki turned on the lights in their bedroom and Shouto let out a punched-out noise.
"Wha— Shouto?!" Katsuki exclaimed. "What the fuck are you doing in the dark?" He walked to his side of the bed and threw his bag down unceremoniously.
"S-switch off the lights. Please," Shouto whimpered. The light was making him even dizzier.
After a quick glance over, Katsuki realised what state Shouto was in and quickly switched the lights off. Kneeling down by Shouto's side, he frowned. "Are you sick? Feel like puking?"
Weakly, Shouto nodded.
"Shit. Why didn't you call me, asshole?"
"Didn't want to be a bother."
Katsuki huffed loudly. He began to stroke Shouto's back in large firm circles and Shouto moaned at the alleviating comfort. "You're going to be my fucking bother for as long as we're married so take that courteous bullshit out of this house. I don't appreciate it."
Despite the mounting nausea, Shouto chuckled.
"Fucking call, okay?"
He hummed his assent. Then, another wave of nausea hit him and he pulled the plastic bag to his face again, panting so heavily he couldn't swallow the saliva as it dripped out of his mouth. His stomach churned like a washing machine overflowing with bubbles and tried to expel it all out but nothing would come.
"Vomit it out. You'll feel better after."
"I'm trying," Shouto hissed out between heaves.
Katsuki fell silent and he rubbed bigger and faster circles over Shouto's back.
Eventually, the waves of nausea finally peaked and spilled over, sending the contents of Shouto's stomach into the plastic bag. His nose and mouth burned from the acid as he grimaced and groaned. Tears sprang to his eyes from the mere effort.
Katsuki said something to him (he didn't quite register what though) before leaving his side.
Round two hit him and he coughed violently before the puke hit the bag. He panted heavily and he was forced to breathe in gulps of the acrid scent from the plastic bag. He felt a tap on the back of his hand and glanced up to see Katsuki.
"Give me," he said.
Shouto's head was a fog. He handed the plastic bag to Katsuki, who then handed him another plastic bag. Tidily and quickly, Katsuki tied up the used plastic bag and stood back up to throw it.
At the breath of fresh air, Shouto sighed as he leaned over the new plastic bag. When his husband came back, he resumed rubbing soothing circles over Shouto's back. After Shouto lurched forward for the third time and heaved out clear fluids into the bag, he sighed. The nausea was gone, and what was left was absolute exhaustion. Katsuki took the bag from Shouto and tied it off again. Before leaving this time, he took a wet cloth from the table (when had Katsuki brought that in?), and gently wiped Shouto's face with it.
Then, he shoved a cup of warm water into Shouto's palms. "Drink." Then, he left again.
Shouto took a couple tiny sips from the cup before leaving it on the nightstand and curling back under the sheets.
Katsuki came back with another plastic bag and a basin. He placed the plastic bag with the unfinished cup of water and set the basin on the floor. He gave Shouto a little squeeze as he sat down on the floor beside Shouto. "God, you're such a fucking idiot," he muttered, wringing a towel over the basin. "If you're this fucking sick, call me."
All Shouto could manage was a sheepish smile.
He placed the cloth over Shouto's forehead and the cool sensation relieved him.
"Katsuki?"
"Hm?"
"Cuddle."
Katsuki narrowed his eyes at the request. "Insufferable bastard. You're lucky you're fucking cute," he grumbled as he climbed into bed.
As the familiar warmth and pressure of Katsuki enveloped him, he sighed contentedly. Gently, Katsuki pressed a soft kiss to his hair and then on his left cheek. Shouto closed his eyes and tried to relax.
Every time the wet towel on his forehead was about to feel too warm, Katsuki would dunk it in the basin, wring it, and place it on Shouto's forehead again.
Eventually, under his husband's watchful care, exhaustion overcame Shouto and he slipped into a fitful slumber.
When he woke up again, Katsuki had already fallen asleep. He glanced towards the clock. 10pm. Work must have worn him out too… Shouto's lips were feeling a bit chapped so he sat up to get himself the drink he left at the nightstand. As he did, however, Katsuki, ever the light sleeper, woke up with a start.
He squinted at Shouto and rubbed his eyes. "Better?" he said, voice sticky from the nap.
"Yeah. A lot. You haven't eaten, right?"
"Nah. Not yet. Let's order in," he said. "Porridge?"
Shouto nodded.
Katsuki groaned as he sat up and grabbed his phone. A couple minutes later, he set the phone aside. "Alright, stinky baby, time for a bath."
Instinctively, Shouto took a sniff at his clothes and wrinkled his nose. He smelled of sweat and puke. Ugh.
That sent Katsuki chuckling for some reason. Shouto stood up. Satisfied that he had regained enough energy to walk, he headed for the bathroom. "Oh," he said at the doorway, "my clothes."
"Already got it," Katsuki said from the wardrobe.
"Okay." Shouto switched the lights and water heater on before heading in, and turning the water on for the bath.
Once they had taken off their clothes, Katsuki nodded towards the bathroom stool under the shower, and said, "Sit."
Shouto followed his instruction while Katsuki dragged the other bathroom stool over to sit behind him. He took the shower head, testing the water on his palm before turning it towards Shouto.
Shouto relaxed under the water as it ran over his skin and soaked his hair. Bakugou gave himself a quick shower as well before grabbing the shampoo and squirting a generous portion into his hand. Then, gently, he applied it to Shouto's hair, massaging his scalp.
Tension seeped out of Shouto's body under the tender attention of Katsuki, and he found himself leaning his head against those strong hands. After shampooing his hair, Katsuki used a loofah to scrub Shouto clean. Then, it was running water over his head and body again, removing the suds.
As soon as Shouto heard another squirt from behind, he turned around with a frown. "Conditioner?"
"For fuck's sake," Katsuki groaned. "Why are you so fucking opposed to conditioner? Isn't a part of your income from fucking modelling? You think any of those thirsty fucks will pay you if you have disaster hair? You're not even actually the one doing the conditioning, you asshole!"
Shouto laughed. "Okay, okay," he said. "Only because you're doing it for me."
"Ingrate," Katsuki muttered, placing his hands into Shouto's hair again. When all the conditioning was done, he slapped Shouto's shoulder. "Get out." Shouto rolled his eyes and headed to the bathtub. Slowly and carefully, he sank into the water and leaned back, closing his eyes.
He could hear Katsuki soaping himself and showering as quickly as he could. The second he was squeaky clean, he marched over to the bathtub and stepped in with his husband.
With a soft sigh, he leaned against Shouto's chest, resting his head against the other's shoulder. Shouto smiled and reached for Katsuki's hand, which obediently intertwined with his.
The two sat in silence, soaking in the moment. They sat there for several minutes before Katsuki spoke up, "Let's get out. We're all wrinkly already." He lifted their interlocked hands to demonstrate his point.
Shouto huffed in laughter as they stood up.
"What's so funny?" Katsuki asked as he unplugged the bathtub stopper.
"Not… Not really funny," Shouto said, looking at his hands. "Just thinking."
"Did it hurt?"
Shouto shot him a glare. "Anyway," he said, "I was thinking that… you know. It'd be nice if one day we do get wrinkly. Together."
Katsuki wrinkled his nose at Shouto. "Sap."
"You don't like it?" he asked, eyes wide and ears heating up. "I… I thought it'd be nice if we could grow old together though…"
"Nah, I… I like that too," Katsuki replied with a soft grin.
Shouto nodded, fuzzy feeling in his chest.
"If you want that to happen though, you've gotta take care of yourself, Shouto."
"Yeah… Yeah…" He grabbed his clothes and began putting them on. "I'm sorry, okay?"
"I'm serious."
When Shouto turned to look at Katsuki, he noticed the dour look in his red eyes.
"Next time there's anything, you've got to tell me. You keep so much to yourself… it worries me. I'm your fucking husband. I want to know things."
Apologetically, Shouto hummed and kissed Katsuki's dripping hair. "Okay, okay. I promise. I'm sorry."
"Good. Next time this happens, I'll gut you like a fucking fish."
Shouto nodded. "Okay."
Request: Two Nerds for the Price of One
Summary: What do you do when you have two crushes? By Bakugo’s logic, find a way to date them both of course. (Bakugo/Reader/Midoriya)
Wordcount: 2142
A/N: this is a request from AO3. I hope this okay. I don't generally write poly fics cause I primarily write only about things that I have experienced or been in a similar situation, and I never been in a poly relationship so how it works is still something I'm learning about.
You ran as fast as you possibly could down the hall to class 3-A, slamming the door open harder than you intended. But you couldn’t help it! “Izuku! Izuku! Look at this!” You hopped over to Izuku’s desk, holding a flier out in front of you, unable to hold still.
“I can’t read it when you’re jumping all over the place ___chan,”  Izuku giggled at you as he grabbed a hold of the paper. He gasped when he read it and started vibrating in his seat as well.
You plopped yourself at the empty desk in front of Izuku, resting your chin in your hands on his desk. “There is a sale of limited first generation hero merch with a chance of winning free tickets to the grand opening of the Hero History Museum! We have an opportunity to learn about some of the first vigilantes that changed our society and created the hero occupation! These are the people that inspired heroes who inspired heroes that inspired us!”
You grabbed both of Izuku’s hands in the air, your fingers interlacing. He smiled back at you, just as excited. “The first quirks to be recorded in history! Laws we have now were shaped by them!”
“The vintage costumes!” You squealed.
Izuku nodded with you and both of you yelled out happily, “New heroes to learn about!”
The two of you were kindred spirits. In first year, you took one look at his hero costume and knew instantly who he was inspired by. As a fellow fan of All Might and his amazing costumes, it was your duty to intervene when Hatsume tried to change the looks of his costume. That girl may be a genius when it comes to inventions, but as a designer she just threw things together. When she made Izuku new arm supports, you jumped in to adding some All Might esthetics.
Izuku was so thankful, it led to the two of you talking and finding out that the both of you were major hero otakus. It was so nice to have someone come over to your dorm room and not instantly judge you for the amount of hero memborbila you had.
You continued to gush. “Soon, you’ll have merch for sale and a museum with all the great things you’re going to do! I’m going to buy all of them! I’m your number one fan!”
“___!” He tried to pull his hands away to hide his blushing face, but you locked your fingers with his.
“Nope, no hiding Izuku! Take my compliments like the hero you are!” you laugh happily, making Izuku turn into an adorable strawberry, not noticing the eyes watching the two of you intently.
“There’s two of them,” Bakugo mumbled, leaning against Kirishima’s desk as he watched you and Deku gush about some hero nerd crap. “Two fucking nerdy ass Dekus.”
Kirishima chuckled to himself as he finished the assignment he’d forgotten was due next period. Thankfully, Bakugo is more lenient when it comes to helping with homework now. “Midoriya has really come out of his shell. He’s made some good friends outside of our class now.”
Bakugo starred as the two of you got up to walk out of the classroom. He tilted his head to get a better view. “I want to bite his ass.”
“Kats-”
“Her’s too.”
“Ew. Here, take my drink since you're so thirsty.” Kaminari thrusted an unopened juice into Bakugo’s chest jokingly.
Bakugo hummed, crossing his arms. “I’ve decided.”
Kirishima and Kaminari looked up at him, waiting for him to explain further as Bakugo paused to take a sip of the drink. “I want them both.”
Kaminari burst into a fit of laughter, holding his stomach, while Kirishima looked at him in horror. “What? No!” What the hell does his bro have planned?!
“I'm gonna make them both mine.” The ash-blonde just nodded in affirmation.
“Katsuki, no.”
The bell rang; the break was over and Kirishima hadn’t finished his homework! “Shitty Hair, I’m doing it. One way or another, their asses are mine.” Bakugo quickly wrote down the answer to the last question on the assignment before making his way to his seat, a suspicious-looking grin on his face.
“Well at least we know Bakugo has a type.” Kaminari leaned back in his chair, grinning as Kirishima sighed, giving up on trying to contain the chaos that is Bakugo Katsuki.
~
You groaned, completely depressed. Izuku and you had had a lot of fun at the hero merch sale; you’d both been able to buy so many items you never seen before. Of course Izuku bought everything All Might there. But when you two went up to the cashier, you were sadly informed that there were no more tickets. The museum was also sold out; you’d found out too late about the event. You lazily sketch out a new hero costume design for a first-year that needed more complex material for their quirk when a shadow hovered over you.
You looked up in time for a hand to slam down on the table and a body leaned in close to you. As you clutched your pencil to your chest, Bakugo smirked a few inches from your face. “Hey Nerd Number 2. What’s got you fucking moping?”
“Uh...I um…” You were completely tongue tied, heart pounding in your chest.
He just chuckled at you; you weren’t sure if it was a good sign or if you were about to be murdered. “I assume it has to do something about this?”
Two yellow strips of paper were thrusted into your face, “Hero Origins Exhibit” written on them. You gasp and reach out for it to see if it was real. He rudely dangled them above your head, out of reach.
“How’d you get that?!” You shouted. How on earth did he get two when you couldn't even get one?!
“I have my ways. I’ll give you them if you want...,” you nodded excitedly. “...but there is a price.”
Your eyes were locked on those tickets. Whatever it is, be it some gear or money, you’ll do it. If it means you and Izuku can go together to the museum. “What is it?”
He grabbed your chin with one hand, making you look at him. “You go on a date with me to the museum.”
Your breath hitched for a second as your brain translated what he’d just said. Date?! “Huh? Me and you? But I promised that I’d go with Izuku…”
Bakugo leaned in more, his nose grazing against your cheek as his lips made their way to your ear, and huskily whispered, “Then don’t tell him. How about if you agree, I’ll make sure Deku and you can go to the museum together. He’ll never have to know.” He bit at your lobe and then kissed the sensitive skin underneath. A shiver went down your back as he kissed your neck between words. “You want to see him happy, right?”
“Just one date?” You were completely melting in the palm of his hand.
He hummed, nuzzling your hair. “Sure.”
“Okay…” You dreamily whispered. If this is how he treats you, maybe it won’t be that bad...
The moment you agreed, he let go of your face. You blinked at his receding back, awakened from the dream-like state his warmth had put you in. “Good. I’ll text you the details later. And don’t be fucking late.” He threw you one more smirk over his shoulder before leaving the Support Course classroom. What….what just happened?! The shocked look on your classmates’ faces was all the evidence you needed to prove that, yes, that did just happen.
~
“Kacchan, I can’t believe you got these! You’re amazing!” Izuku was practically squealing on the common room couch, holding the tickets in his hands. Bakugo was sitting beside him, an arm resting on the back of the couch behind the smaller boy,  bodies pressed right up against each other.
Bakugo had been casually instigating more physical contact over the past year so Izuku didn't even bat an eyelash as he leaned in closer. “I know. Now about the price for them….” Bakugo pulled the tickets from Deku’s hands gently as he whispered into the nerd’s ear, making him blush deeply.
“Kacchan! You want what?! But I promised…” Izuku fidgets with his hands in his lap, mumbling and slowly falling into the depths of his mind.
Smirking, Bakugo firmly wraps his arm around Izuku’s shoulders, practically pulling the other boy into his lap. “Don’t worry, I know about your little nerd best friend. I got connections and I could get you two to the museum. If you make it worth my while, Nerd.”
Bakugo tried not to chuckle when he felt the nerd shiver; gotcha. Izuku held up a pinky to Bakugo shyly. “Okay, if you promise?”
“Of course. I’m not a fucking liar, Deku.” He links their pinkies together, pulling their hands to his face to kiss Izuku’s.
He heard the nerd loudly swallow before launching to his feet. “Okay…okay. Deal, Kacchan! Thank you for this!” Bakugo watched his nerd escape to his dorm room with an amused and triumphant smile on his face.
Kaminari and Kirishima watched the entire situation play out, in complete disbelief. They walked over to Bakugo as he texted on his phone. Kaminari flipped himself onto the couch to sit beside the other blonde, looking to see he was texting you where to meet up on Saturday. “This can’t possibly go well.” Kirishima sighed from behind the couch, leaning on his elbows as he read the text as well. When did he become the voice of reason in this group?
“It’ll be fucking fine, Hair-For-Brains,” Bakugo snorted, waving a heart filled text from you up, bragging as Bakugo does.
Kaminari laughed, actually enjoying watching his bro finally make a move. Leaning back with his arms behind his head, the electric blonded asked, “How did you even manage to get tickets and they didn’t?”
“Easy. Bribe the cashier to tell them that they didn’t have any more tickets while I bought three.”
“So glad you are on the heroes’ side.”
~
You waited in front of the museum, messing with your hair and clothes every five seconds while looking at your reflection in a shop window. The girls in your dorm had helped you decide on your outfit. In fact, you’d pretty much had a miniature fashion show in your room. You sigh to yourself, mumbling, “What are you doing ___?” Going on a date with Bakugo Katsuki was not what you had planned.
If there was anyone you were more likely to go on  a date with, you’d expected it to be Izuku. Oh Izuku…he’s so sweet and the two of you can geek out on a whole other level together. You wish he was going to the museum with you. But Bakugo did promise that he’d make sure that you guys got to go together for going on this date….maybe it won't be so bad.
“___?”
Your head whipped over to the side. “Izuku?”
Izuku came over to you, wearing skinny jeans that you’d bought him and an open flannel shirt over one of his regular shirts that said, “t-shirt”. You swear one of these days, you are going to burn all those shirts and buy him a whole new wardrobe. “What are you doing here?”
“Simple, I invited you both here.” Bakugo strolled up to the two of you, smirking with his hands in his pockets. You and Izuku look back at each other, confused.
“Uh…but I thought….” You fiddled with your hands, not sure how to say it in front of Izuku. This is so embarrassing.
Izuku didn't hesitate though. “Isn’t this a date?”
Bakugo just smiled proudly. “You are right, this is a date. All three of us.”
“Huh?!” you both yelled in shock.
He sighed, leaning in as he placed a hand on each of your shoulders. “Really, do I have to fucking spell it out? I like both your nerdy asses.”
“Kacchan, you should have just asked one of us out at a time if you were confused about—”
“Not confused. I just don't half-ass.” He spun both of you around, his arms resting around your shoulders as he steered all three of you towards the museum entrance. You were completely at a loss as Izuku looked like he was going to continue to protest.
“If I chose one then I would only be able to give the relationship half of my attention since I’d still like the other. So I’m gonna sweep both of you off your nerdy-ass feet.” Bakugo left no room for argument.
You looked back at Izuku, his face was as red as your face was hot. Both speechless, you were only able to go with the flow of Bakugo Katsuki.
Hey! Could we have a prompt of either Izuku or Kaachan forgetting about their one year anniversary? Thankyouuuu! 💛
Thanks for the prompt! Sorry I only just realized right now you specified one year anniversary, I made it 3! I guess I could go back and change it, but I have them living together in the fic so one year seems a bit rushed for that? Idk, I hope you don’t mind..
Forgetful
“Mm… g’morning Kacchan,” Izuku mumbled, blinking his eyes open to see his boyfriend sitting on the edge of the bed. He could smell food in the kitchen, and he instantly remembered that today was their anniversary, so he smiled to himself, thinking surely Katsuki was going to eat with him or, better yet, bring him breakfast in bed.
“Morning nerd. Going to work now, see you tonight,” Katsuki said, leaning down and kissing his forehead before promptly sauntering out of the room.
“Huh?” Izuku blinked in surprise, then rolled over to grab his phone. He checked the date first, it was today, and then the time. 9:32. Katsuki’s shift started at ten, he remembered that, but couldn’t he have woken him up earlier for a breakfast surprise? Or at least a bit more than a kiss and run?
Sighing, he pushed himself up out of bed and ran a hand through his greasy hair. Well, at least Katsuki seemed to remember that something important was happening tonight, so maybe he just wanted to let Izuku sleep as long as possible.
Content to think that perhaps Katsuki’s gift was letting him sleep in, he wandered out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, where he found some veggie scramble waiting for him in the pan.
Izuku grumbled to himself, annoyed yet again that it was just normal breakfast food and not something special and sweet – Katsuki knows he has a sweet tooth – but he let it go and piled the leftovers on his plate to reheat in the microwave before he ate in front of the television.
“The least he could’ve done was plate it up nicely,” Izuku mumbled to himself, scratching under his sleep shirt as he watched the plate spin in the microwave. When he plopped down onto the couch with a warm plate of food to start his day off, however, he elected once more to let it go. So what if the morning of their third anniversary was business as usual? There was no way Katsuki could forget about tonight!
---
“I’m home,” Katsuki called out into the apartment, letting his bag drop to the floor and kicking his boots off, wanting nothing more than to take a shower and heat up some leftovers for dinner.
“Welcome home Kacchan,” Izuku sauntered into the room, smiling sweetly up at him with his hair combed and washed, a crisp button-down and slacks on, and even smelling faintly of Katsuki’s favorite cologne.
“Wow, someone freshened up,” he cooed happily, if a bit confused, and pulled his boyfriend in by the waist for a quick kiss. “What’s the occasion?”
“Ha-ha, Kacchan. Very funny,” Izuku rolled his eyes, kissing his cheek before breaking free from his embrace and leading him out of the living room. “You should get ready too, Kacchan.”
“Get ready for… what?” Katsuki trailed off as the dining room table came into view, and he saw a large bouquet of white roses in a pretty crystal vase with a little white envelope sitting next to them. “Oh, shit,” he said.
“Kacchan… did you seriously forget?” Izuku asked, looking back at him with a pained expression.
“Oh, fuck!” Katsuki hung his face in his hands. “What day is it?” he groaned out.
Izuku sighed.
“Our anniversary, Kacchan. Our three year anniversary.”
“Shit, fuck, Deku I’m so sorry,” Katsuki shook his head. “I just, I’ve been working so hard and the days all blurred together and I fucking… I didn’t get you anything, I’m sorry.”
“Well… we still have our reservation,” Izuku said, sounding less upset that Katsuki thought he would be, so he looked up to his boyfriend smiling at him, his eyes teary but not crying as he gave a little shrug.
“Yes, right, of course! I’ll take a quick shower and get changed and then we’ll have the most romantic dinner ever, okay?” he said, reaching out and grabbing Izuku’s hands, searching for forgiveness in his eyes.
“Okay, Kacchan,” Izuku nodded, giving him a soft kiss, but then tugged on his ear as they parted. “But you better remember to spoil the heck out of me on my birthday!”
“I will, I will!” Katsuki chuckled, shooing his hand away. Izuku’s smile faltered then, his lips wobbling and teary eyes blinking as they just stared at each other, and Katsuki sighed. “Baby,” he whispered, holding him close. “I love you so much, okay? I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
“I know… I love you too,” Izuku whispered back, squeezing him tight.
Katsuki kissed the top of his head, and held him close, rubbing up and down his back and Izuku took deep breaths to clear away his tears. When he sounded better, Katsuki pulled back and kissed his cheek, holding the other with his hand.
“Can I go get ready now? The last thing I want is to be late after all that,” he asked.
“Mm. Go ahead,” Izuku nodded, releasing him. “This better be the best date ever, you forgetful jerk,” he joked as Katsuki walked away, and Katsuki couldn’t help the little relieved smile that flashed across his face from hearing Izuku in a joking mood again.
Little Red Riot (Part Two)
Crimson eyes glared down on the wooden floor of the hut as breakfast was being served to them at the dining table. Two pairs of eyes had been staring at him for a long time that he started unconsciously fidgeting in his seat. Last night, he almost died. He and his friends joined in hunting the werewolf that had been rampaging among their village as their own definition of fun.
But Kirishima didn't know how dangerous that task actually was until he was staring at the beast's face-- frozen in horror at what might happen to him if he made a wrong move.
"Please eat up, Kirishima-kun," a feminine voice brought him back to reality and he met kind green eyes that belonged to Midoriya's mother, Inko.
"Y-yes... thank you for the meal," he answered before he froze upon meeting a pair of bright red ones that had been staring at him the whole time.
Kirishima willed himself to look away as he reached for his chopsticks to start digging in on his breakfast when the slamming of the front door had him jump from his seat in fright.
Looking back, Kirishima saw a teen with just the same age as his, standing by the door and glaring at him-- he had white-red-colored hair that was equally parted in the middle and heterochromatic eyes of silver and blue.
The stranger held gazes with Kirishima for a moment before he looks away and stomped towards Midoriya's now empty room and slammed the door behind him.
"Half-and-half sure is mad as hell," the blonde werewolf said as he smirked, ignoring the glares Midoriya was giving him.
"I'm going to talk to him," Midoriya said before excusing himself and entered his room where the stranger went.
"Who was that?" Kirishima asked, turning to Inko who was washing up the utensils she used to prepare breakfast.
"That's Shouto," Inko said with a smile. "He and Katsuki, here, are staying with us,"
"S-so he's... a werewolf too?"
Inko hesitated but nodded to confirm what Kirishima said.
"He's upset because we're letting you live," Katsuki answered. "He hates humans... especially hunters like you,"
"I'm not a hunter," Kirishima said in defense. "I just volunteered to go with the hunt. Besides, I'm particularly not a fan of werewolves either so I guess the feeling is mutual,"
Katsuki didn't reply back and Kirishima took it as a sign to start eating his breakfast-- trying hard to ignore the tensed and awkward air that filled the dining table as he shared his breakfast with the werewolf that almost killed him.
"Ain't spicy enough," he heard Katsuki grumble after taking in his first spoonful of breakfast and made to reach for the condiments at the middle of the table when he winced and pulled his hand back.
Kirishima's eyes widened as he realized that Katsuki's left arm was bandaged and a blotch of red had stained it.
"Fuck," Katsuki cursed silently, hissing in pain as he cradled his arm.
"Language!" Inko hissed from the kitchen.
"S-sorry," the werewolf grumbled.
"D-did I... Did I do that?" Kirishima asked.
Somewhere during the commotion that happened last night, Kirishima could vaguely remember how his body automatically moved on its own out of adrenaline and fear that he had almost shot Midoriya-- if the blonde werewolf didn't come to the rescue in the way and pushed the greenhead out of harm's way.
"Of course, you're the only one here capable of hurting us with that gun of yours, hunter," A voice retorted even before Katsuki could reply and Kirishima looked back to see Midoriya and Shouto coming out of the room.
The half-and-half eyes were cold and full of hatred when they met Kirishima's and the scar on his left eye added to the hostile aura the werewolf was emitting.
"Shou... I told you it was an accident, didn't I?" Midoriya said gently with a smile, rubbing soothing circles on the back of Shouto's hand that relaxed the latter.
"Yeah, I wouldn't die with a bullet grazing my arm, half-and-half," Katsuki agreed, throwing Kirishima a wink before looking back at Shouto. "So no need to get worried about your brother,"
Shouto rolled his eyes. "My concern has been for Izuku only," he answered. "That hunter would've killed him last night if you had been too late in pushing Izuku out of the way so..."
Shouto abruptly stopped himself and Katsuki's smirk grew. "So... what? Keep going half-and-half, you're almost there," he said.
Shouto growled before looking away, scrunching up his nose that made Midoriya smile.
"Katsuki-kun, are you done eating? I need to change your bandages," Inko said. "Izuku, Shouto-kun, please go ahead and eat your breakfast before it gets cold,"
"U-um..." Kirishima called as Katsuki stood up from his seat. "I-if this means anything, I-I'm... I'm sorry, for... for shooting you, or... for not shooting you, I... it was an accident,"
"Well, I wouldn't say that it's alright since it really did hurt like hell," Katsuki answered, scratching his nape.
"Kacchan, you're way out of character today," Midoriya said.
"Did almost endangering your life changed you?" Shouto followed.
"SHUT UP, BASTARDS!" Katsuki yelled.
"And he's back," Midoriya muttered under his breath, shaking his head in amusement.
"M-Midoriya," Kirishima called. "T-thank you... for the meal a-and for last night, but... I have to get back to the village,"
"What are you talking about?" Shouto said.
"S-Shouto..." Midoriya made an attempt to stop him.
"E-eh?" Kirishima answered in confusion.
"You didn't tell him?" Shouto asked, turning to Midoriya.
"I-I was about to," Midoriya said.
"Tell me what?" Kirishima asked, dread filling him up as his mind went haywire-- was his friends killed? Or did they declare him dead already? Are they going to kill him after all? Who wouldn't, though; he knew too much already for Midoriya to let him go.
"U-uh... Kirishima-kun," Midoriya said, "It's not that we don't... trust you, but... you've seen Katsuki and Shouto already s-so we thought t-that... that letting you go back to the village isn't s-safe for... us, so--"
"Unfortunately for you-- and inconveniently for us as well-- you'll be staying here for a while," Shouto finished what Midoriya had trouble starting.
Kirishima met Midoriya's eyes as his mind processed what the greenhead just said before finally uttering his answer. "... what?"
***
Plop!
Goes the sound of the water as another stone dived down the pond as Kirishima threw stones at the innocent body of water to relieve the anger he was feeling.
Midoriya had just broken the news to him this morning-- with Kirishima seeing and knowing who the werewolves were and who was protecting them, they couldn't let Kirishima go back to the village. The redhead had tried negotiating but it just ended up with Kirishima lashing out at Midoriya when the greenhead stood his ground and shook his head no in letting him go.
Kirishima threw another and bigger stone down the pond with unintentional strength that caused some water to splash back at Kirishima-- coincidentally hitting him square in the face.
With his tension rising up, he grabbed a bigger stone and threw hard on the pond with a loud curse.
"Damn," A voice behind him caused Kirishima to jump back and turn sharply-- only to see the blonde werewolf looking at him with an amused smile on his face. "What did water ever do to you?"
Kirishima looked away, annoyed. "Leave me alone," he grumbled as he turned back to the pond-- frowning at his wavy reflection on the water.
"Inko-san told me to come and fetch you since I don't think Deku would be able to persuade you to come inside,"
"Well you won't be able to persuade me either, so leave me alone," Kirishima snapped.
The redhead turned his head back to the pond, fist clenched tight in frustration-- frustration that he couldn't escape back to the village and Katsuki still wasn't leaving him alone as the blonde stood there with his arms crossed, giving no indication that he was leaving anytime soon.
Giving out a demoralized grunt, Kirishima snapped at the werewolf once more. "I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE, DAMN IT!" he yelled. "Isn't already good enough for you that I can't escape here?! Why do you have to tail at me like some dog?! Go away! "
"Kirishima-kun? Everything okay?" Midoriya entered the scene with worry in his eyes and Kirishima started to see red.
"Absolutely!" Kirishima yelled angrily. "Everything is fine! I can't go home after encountering your monsters for pets, but it's totally fine!"
Kirishima knew he had hit a nerve when Katsuki's eyes darkened but he didn't care-- he was angry and he wanted them to know that.
"K-Kirishima-kun, please calm down," Midoriya said as he took a step closer. "I-I know you're upset about this, but--"
"I'm not upset, Midoriya! I'm furious! Why can't I go home? Why are you keeping me captive here?! I'm not going to tell anyone about you or them... I just... I just want to go home!"
"Please understand," Midoriya said, growing frustrated as well, as he walked closer. "We're just being careful, I--"
Midoriya was cut-off when a hard punch got in contact with cheeks as Kirishima gave him a right hook-- causing the greenhead to stagger back.
Wide green eyes met wide crimson ones as Kirishima also got stunned by his actions.
"M-Midoriya..." Kirishima drew his fist back and tried to help the greenhead up. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I don't know what came over me, I--"
Both sensed another presence nearby and Midoriya turned his head to meet heterochromatic eyes that were radiating violent anger.
"S-Shouto..." Midoriya mumbled and Kirishima sensed the greenhead's fear.
"M-Midoriya?" Kirishima asked as he glanced at the latter and at Shouto.
"You hurt Izuku," Shouto growled as his teeth started sharpening into fangs and his eyes seemed to glow.
"Run," Midoriya muttered.
"W-what?"
"Run, Kirishima-kun!" Midoriya pushed the redhead away just in time for Shouto to transform in his wolf form-- hackles raised as his eyes locked dangerously on Kirishima who had fallen on the ground, frozen in fear.
"Shouto, please! Listen to me!" Midoriya pleaded as he scrambled back to his feet to try and get Shouto to calm down.
But the half-and-half hybrid was blinded by his outrage and leaped over Midoriya-- claws out as he targeted Kirishima who only had time to close his eyes and welcome death.
Another growl permeated the scene followed by a yelp that had Kirishima open his eyes in shock to see a blonde werewolf standing in between him and Shouto.
Kirishima's breath was caught up in his chest as he looked up at the same bright red eyes that belonged to Katsuki as the werewolf glanced at him before giving out a warning bark at his comrade-- warning him to back off.
"Get up!" Midoriya's exclamation jolted Kirishima back to reality as the greenhead pulled Kirishima up to his feet and got him away just in time for Shouto to charge at Katsuki-- both werewolves snapping at each other and fight for dominance.
"Izuku! What's going on?!" Inko asked as she ran towards them and watched the hybrids fight-- horror in her eyes.
"Mom, please get Kirishima-kun out of here... Please," Midoriya said as he pushed Kirishima to Inko. "I need to stop them before they get hurt,"
But before any of them could say another word, a yelp erupted from the fight and Midoriya turned to see Shouto lying unconsciously on the ground-- Katsuki standing next to him and let out a sad whine as he nudged Shouto's paw.
Inko gasped and Kirishima's eyes widened before the scene.
"No..." Midoriya whispered as his body willed itself to run to both hybrids as they transformed back to their human forms.
Katsuki's knees buckled from exhaustion as his eyes fluttered close but Midoriya caught him on time and laid him next to Shouto who's eyes were fluttering open.
"Izu...ku," Shouto mumbled.
"I-I'm sorry..." Katsuki whispered as Midoriya knelt in between them.
"Shut up, your wounds aren't that bad. You're not dying!" Midoriya said as he got out some bandages he always kept with him and started treating their wounds.
Inko was by his side and covering up Katsuki and Shouto with blankets as Kirishima just stood there-- stunned that a werewolf he had known to be dangerous just saved his life.
"You'll both be fine, okay?" Inko said with a smile as she and Midoriya started patching up the wounds they got from the fight.
"M-Midoriya..." Kirishima called but Midoriya didn't give a sign that he heard him at all-- either that or he was ignoring Kirishima. Even Inko couldn't look up to meet his eyes.
"I'm sorry, I..." Kirishima stuttered and looked down on the wounds on the hybrids' bodies-- wounds that he caused. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Midoriya's actions paused as he took a deep breath and answered. "You've already done enough, Kirishima-kun..."
"Look, I'm sorry... I--"
"If you want to go back to the village so bad, then you're free to go..." Midoriya cut him off. "With what you did, you proved that humans like us can be more of a monster than them... So, please... just go before you cause another injury,"
Kirishima looked at Inko for help, but she had looked away sadly. Then he looked at Katsuki and saw his wounds.
"I'm sorry..." Kirishima whispered before he turned and ran away from the scene-- leaving with a heavy heart.
Can you make a headcanons how deku kachan and todoroki would react/care for their s/o having social anxiety and having like really trust issues and very sensitiv like crying when someone just teases them because this is litterly me and it's sooo embarrassing to wrote this hope you have a great day and hope I didn't annoy you or smth💞
A/N: Thank you for the request anon, I suffer from major social anxiety too so I understand how you feel. I am glad you requested this! You could never annoy me you beautiful thing :)
TW: mentions of anxiety, teasing, trust issues
Izuku Midoriya
Tumblr media
Izuku can kind of understand where you are coming from, he is quite awkward himself, so when you told him you had anxiety and trust issues he wasn’t too worried about it
 It wasn’t until one day you were in class and you accidentally hit Bakugou in the back of the head he really understood how bad it was
He turned around and looked at you in a way that made you want to burst into tears on the stop
“Watch it, you damn nerd!”
You couldn’t help but tear up, you got up and asked to go to the bathroom before anyone could notice your condition
You ran to the bathroom and started to cry in the stall, why did you have to be so sensitive? Everyone probably thought you were a little cry baby
You felt your phone vibrate and saw a text from your boyfriend, you opened your phone to check it
‘Hey, are you okay? You ran out kind of fast I’m a little worried.’ You smiled at his care, feeling a little better but dreading having to go back into class in fear that everyone would judge you
You finally mustered up a little courage before going back to class, no one really seemed to notice that you were crying, except Midoriya
He looked at you and frowned, seeing your puffy, swollen, red eyes
If this boy could identify anything it’s someone after they cry
After class he runs up to you, “Y/N, I noticed you looked like you were crying, is it because of Kacchan?” you nod in reply, feeling so pathetic about something like that making you upset
he grabs your hand and kisses it, catching you by surprise, you smile at him
from that day forward he started to study you so he knows when you’re about to have an anxiety attack or when you’re too overwhelmed
He made sure to make you know that you were the only girl he cared about, other than his mom of course
Katsuki Bakugo
Tumblr media
Kacchan doesn’t really know how to react when you tell him, he’s probably one of those people who think being shy and having social anxiety is the same thing
one day you both were just chilling in the common area and out of nowhere the whole bakusquad shows up, causing you to feel a little more uneasy, you didn’t have anything against them but there were a lot of them
Mina plops right down next to Bakugo and starts talking to him, you would be lying if you said that seeing that didn’t make you feel worse
Trusting someone was hard for you, you’ve been cheated on before so you were extra scared/cautious
You started to feel worse and time went on, then Kaminari starts talking to you
“Dang Y/N, you look like a whole gremlin over there scowling.” Your eyes started to water. why would he say that to you? Was he joking? Regardless everyone was laughing now, pushing you overboard
You get up and run to your dorm, you can hear distant yelling but you didn’t care what they were saying anymore
You got to your room and plopped on your bed, instantly bursting into tears
there was a knock at your door, “Y/N, it’s me, can I come in?” Bakugo was at your door, you were surprised he came up here. “Yes,” you said it so quietly you weren’t sure he heard
He walks into your room and sits next to you on your bed, “I made Kaminari go stupid if it makes you feel any better.” You laughed at his attempt to make you feel better
“It does actually thank you.” You look at him and then remember him and Mina being so close together, getting sadder
He picks up on this and lays next to you, pulling you into his chest tightly, “look, I’m sorry that damn idiot said that, is there anything I can do?”
You look up at him, “Bakugo, do you like Mina?” He looks back at you, angry you would even think such a thing
“Are you serious Y/N? No, I don’t like her, she’s just some girl who I happen to be around a lot. I like you in case you haven’t noticed.” Your face softens and you pull him into a kiss.
“I like you too.” He scoffs at you, “yeah you better!” You laugh at him, he smiles knowing that he made you feel better
From that day forward no one teased you, if they did they would have to deal with the wrath of your spiky-haired boyfriend
Shoto Todoroki
Tumblr media
This boy right here is the king of trust issues, having the father he did he tried not to get too close to people, in case he got hurt
That plan didn’t work though, he gained a lot of friends, and he even found you, making him feel like he was complete
when you told him you had social anxiety and trust issues he knew exactly how to handle it, the trust issues part anyways
The first time he realized how bad your trust issues were, you both were sitting at the dinner table in the dorms, just hanging out and studying
then like out of thin air, Yaoyorozu appears and sits next to Todoroki
she was asking him questions about the homework you were doing, and maybe you were overthinking it but she seemed like he was practically on top of him
You felt yourself growing more and more distrustful as time went by, you were dealing with it until you saw their hands touching, which sent you over the edge
You got up and stormed into your room, leaving Todoroki clueless as to why you were upset
He followed you to your room and opened the door to see you holding the stuffed elephant he gave you and laying in bed
“Why did you storm off like that Y/N?” You look at him cautiously
“ You and Yaoyorozu were all over each other!” He looks at you like he had no idea what you were talking about
“I’m so confused, we weren’t all over each other, you were watching us the whole time.” You roll your eyes, “I know what I saw Shoto!”
he sits next to you, suddenly realizing what was happening “Darling, you have no reason to distrust me, I care about you more than anything and I would never screw what we have up.” You let out a long sigh, “I know it’s just, I don’t want to get hurt again…” he softens his look and rubs circles into your back
“Please Y/N, have more faith in me than that, I  promise to you I won’t ever hurt you purposefully.” You pull him down and he wraps his arms around your shoulders, you two cuddle for a while until he gets tired and heads to his dorm
The next day you find Yaoyorozu, apologizing for what happened, but she apologizes back, both of you walking to class together
crimson petals on my lips
It’s during hero training that Izuku first notices it.
He’s more out of breath than he should be. He has to pause from sparring with Todoroki-kun while he pants, hands on his knees.
Across the room he sees Kirishima-kun throw an arm around Kacchan’s shoulder, easy as breathing. Izuku rubs absently at his chest where he feels a sudden tightness, his breath raspy.
He throws himself back into sparring and tries his best to ignore it.
***
The second time, it’s at his desk at home.
He’s reading through his notebooks and comes across something he wrote when he’d still been in primary school. It has a wobbly drawing of Kacchan and an entry with a lot of exclamation points. He can’t help but smile fondly down at it.
He feels a tickle in the back of his throat then and it takes a few tries before he can clear it.
Maybe I’m coming down with a cold, he thinks hopefully.
***
After the third time, however, he can’t ignore it anymore.
He’s in class and he lecture going on at the front of the room is long and boring. He finds his attention wandering to the back of Kacchan’s head directly in front of him. There’s a light shining through the window that shone down on Kacchan’s hair, making it seem like it let off an almost ethereal glow. He idly wonders if Kacchan’s hair would feel as warm as it looks.
There’s a sudden tickle in the back of his throat and he can’t help but cough. It rattles his chest and makes his head pound. He feels something come up and spits it out into his hand. A thrill of cold fear runs down his spine.
A single red petal rests in his palm.
He excuses himself from class, trying his best to remain calm. He makes it to the bathroom and splashes water on his face in the sink. He looks himself in the mirror and sees his terror reflected back at him.
He knew what this was, who wouldn’t? Cases were rare, but when they happened they were all over the news.
Questions fill his mind.
How far along am I? How much longer do I have?
What should I tell mom and All Might?
***
The next morning he coughs in the shower and six petals greet him.
He washes them down the drain.
***
He does his best to appear like nothing’s wrong, going about his daily routine. He eats with his friends during lunch and laughs at their jokes. He does his schoolwork and trains his body.
All Might pats him on the shoulder after a successful training exercise and he almost forgets.
***
He doesn’t know why he doesn’t tell anyone. It’s obvious what he’s suffering from and what his options are.
Cut out the flowers along with his feelings or die.
He honestly doesn’t know which one is worse.
***
He can feel them in his lungs, rustling with every breath. They tickle his throat and make him cough. He’s always coughing.
He’s stopped by a hand on his shoulder after class one day.
“Midoriya, are you feeling alright? You look unwell,” Todoroki-kun says in his quiet way, concern only evident in the pinch in his brow.
Izuku knows he looks unwell. The face he sees in the mirror is pale and wan, dark circles like bruises under the eyes.
He turns to Todoroki-kun and smiles, lying through his teeth. “Yeah, I’m fine! I think I’m coming down with something, is all.”
Todoroki-kun is about to respond when someone barges in between them, breaking their connection.
“You’re in the way,” Kacchan says while walking past them, hands in his pockets.
At the graze of Kacchan’s shoulder, he feels his airway constrict and thinks, please, no, not here. He bids a hasty farewell and practically sprints to his room, chest rustling and breath wheezing the whole way.
He barely closes the door behind him before he’s coughing and retching into his palm. A cascade of tiny red petals fall from his lips, scorching a line of fire up his throat in their wake.
***
He seriously considers his options.
He thinks about getting the surgery. He is the bearer of One for All after all, there are expectations riding on his shoulders for the future. He can’t just take that lightly.
He thinks about completely forgetting about his feelings for Kacchan. At first it sounds appealing. No more awkwardness around him or random pangs of longing. No more chasing after him and no more childhood memories.
No more admiration. No more striving to be better. No more symbol of victory.
No more Kacchan.
His other option is pretty straightforward.
He still doesn’t know which he prefers.
***
He’s fading fast and he knows it.
Anything more strenuous than a flight of stairs makes the rustling in his chest unbearable. It’s all he can do not to puke his guts out.
His friends are worried about him, urging him to see a doctor. He waves it off as a temporary bug.
All the while he feels crimson eyes boring into the back of his head.
The tendrils in his chest squeeze tighter.
***
He’s packing up after class, exhausted from just sitting there. He tells his friends with a tired smile that he’s gonna skip dinner and head straight to bed. They leave him reluctantly, telling him to get some rest. When they’re gone, he can’t help but sigh in relief. He feels terrible for doing it, but keeping up the charade is draining.
A hand is suddenly slamming down on his desk and he starts. He looks up to see Kacchan looming over him.
“Oi, nerd, the fuck is up with you?”
“W-what do you mean, Kacchan? I’m fine!” Izuku says evasively, looking at everything but Kacchan. Lie, lie, Kacchan can’t know!
The hand Kacchan’s resting on his desk crackles with his Quirk. “Don’t play fucking stupid with me, Deku! It might work on those extras you call friends, but not on me! You look like shit warmed over and keep getting fucking worse every time I see you! Out with it, Shitty Deku, what the fuck’s the matter?”
Is Kacchan… worried about him?
He quashes that thought as quickly as it arises. He won’t delude himself into thinking there’s even the smallest hope. It wouldn’t do him any good.
He frantically tries to think of a convincing lie to tell. He opens his mouth before he knows what he’s going to say but all that comes out is a series of wracking coughs that set his chest on fire. He feels petals fill his mouth but does his best to swallow them down again.
Panting, he looks up again to see Kacchan’s furious face. “Are you still gonna tell me that you’re fine, Deku?”
“I’m just coming down with something, that’s all,” He says weakly, “It’ll pass in a few days.”
“Bullshit.”
“Really, Kacchan, I’m-”
“Say you’re fine again and I’ll fucking kill you myself.”
Izuku closes his mouth with a snap and looks away. He’d been saying I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine to anyone who asked to the point where he’d had everyone fooled, even himself. And yet here was Kacchan, cutting all of that away in an instant.
He isn’t fine, not even a little bit.
Mortifyingly, he feels tears well up. He gets one look at Kacchan’s shocked face before he runs out of the room.
***
He wakes up in the middle of the night, gagging and retching. He runs to the toilet before he spews petals all over his sheets. This time, however, a whole head lands in the water with a plop. He watches it bob up and down for a second, then fishes it out.
He twirls the carnation between his fingers, the water sparkling off of its crimson petals like dew.
***
He looks up the meaning of red carnations on his phone.
Deep love, pride, admiration, My Heart Aches For You.
***
He’s in the middle of hero training when it finally happens.
He’s sparring with Kacchan when his sluggish reflexes cause him to get pinned. He’s flat on his back with Kacchan straddling him, arms held down on either side of his head.
He looks up at Kacchan’s triumphant face and feels it coming from the tightening in his chest. Before he can stop it, he’s turning his head and heaving whole carnations onto the floor.
Distantly, he feels Kacchan let go of him. He turns and sees Kacchan looking dumbstruck, all the color drained from his face. He tries reaching out to Kacchan, but all he accomplishes is to prop himself up on his elbows while he dry heaves.
There was a crowd around them now, the whole class gathering to watch Izuku spit out flowers like magic.
***
Recovery Girl takes one look at him and sighs tiredly, for once looking her age.
“You just can’t do things the easy way, can you?”
She runs by his options like he doesn’t already know them.
She sees his expression and says, “You know that there’s no miracle cure for this, right? You’re pretty far along already.”
At his continued silence, she sighs again and states that she’s going to call his mother and that he should collect his things.
***
His mother cries, like he expected she would.
***
The doctor doesn’t waste any time sugarcoating. He’s dying and needs to go into surgery before the carnations suffocate him.
He sits and listens politely, but he’d made up his mind a while ago, he thinks. He thanks her for her time and walks out.
His mother, tears in her eyes, begs him to reconsider. All he does is hold her like he used to when he was small and scared of shadows.
***
He becomes too weak to leave his room.
The carnations are his constant companion, along with the ever-increasing tightening in his chest.
His friends come to visit.
“Deku-kun,” Uraraka-san sobs, “please, confess your feelings! Whoever it is is bound to accept them!”
Iida-kun grips him by the shoulders and tries to look him in the eye. “Midoriya-kun, it’s foolish to carry on like this,” he says fiercely, “Simply confess your feelings and be done with it!”
“They’re right, Midoriya.” Todoroki-kun says earnestly, “Just tell us who it is and we’ll bring them to you.”
He smiles warmly at them, grateful to have such wonderful friends despite clearly being an awful one himself for making them worry like this.
“I’m sorry, but I’d rather not burden them with my feelings when I know that they won’t be reciprocated.”
“But you don’t know that!” Uraraka-san cries.
“I’m sorry, but I do.”
They leave and Izuku is left alone with nothing but his thoughts and fistfuls of red carnations.
***
All Might comes to visit. He takes one look at Izuku and envelops him in a hug.
Izuku finally, finally let’s himself break down and grieve for what he’s about to lose.
***
He gets one more visitor before the day is out and it’s the last person he expects to see.
Kacchan stands before his bed, fists clenched at his sides.
“Have you gone to the doctor?”
“I have.”
“…Well? When’s the surgery?”
Izuku sighs, suddenly feeling very tired. “I’m not getting the surgery, Kacchan.”
“You’re- what?”
“I said I’m-”
“I heard what you fucking said, I want an explanation.”
“I can’t do it. I don’t want to forget.”
Kacchan’s face clouds over with rage, eyes flashing as he grips Izuku’s shoulders. “Who the fuck is it, Deku. Who’s worth fucking dying over?”
Izuku just looks away.
Kacchan grits his teeth. “Is it Round-face or that Half-and-half bastard?”
“Kacchan-” Before he can continue, there’s a bright stabbing pain in his chest that has him doubled over and retching. Kacchan leaps back as blood-smeared carnations spill into Izuku’s lap. In a detached sort of way Izuku realizes that they’re the exact same shade of red as Kacchan’s eyes.
Kacchan’s look turns wild as he approaches Deku again. “Who the fuck is it? I’ll drag their sorry asses here myself!”
“I won’t say. I can’t burden them with this.”
“Then take the fucking surgery, Deku!”
“No.”
Kacchan roars out in frustration, palms letting off explosion after explosion before he sharply turns back to Izuku.
“I thought you said you beat me one day! How the fuck’re you supposed to beat me if you’re-” He stops, clenched fists shaking at his sides.
Done with thinking about consequences, Izuku reaches out and wraps a hand around one of Kacchan’s wrists, gently unfolding Kacchan’s fingers. He’ll let himself have this, at least. He fights through the immediate tightening of his chest and smiles up at Kacchan’s shocked face.
“It’ll be alright, Kacchan.” He says quietly. Kacchan’s face crumbles.
“No, it fucking won’t Deku, not without-” Kacchan snatches his hand back and runs it shakily across his mouth, tears shining in his eyes. “I can’t picture becoming the greatest hero without you on my fucking heels!”
Izuku’s breath catches, and for once it’s not from the flowers in his chest.
“W-what do you mean, Kacchan?” Izuku tries to calm the frantic beating of his heart, hardly daring to hope.
The tears in Kacchan’s eyes finally spill over.
“I mean that you’re fucking it for me! I don’t care what shitstain you’re in love with, I’ll kill them myself if it means you don’t fucking die!”
Izuku covers his mouth with his hands as the tears he’d been trying to hold back start pouring out. He scrambles to his feet and throws his arms around Kacchan, burying his face into Kacchan’s shoulder and absolutely bawling.
Kacchan freezes and raises his arms like he doesn’t know what to do with them. “Oi, Deku, what-”
“It’s you, Kacchan, it’s always been you,” he sobs into Kacchan’s shoulder, probably getting tears and snot all over Kacchan but he can’t find it in himself to care at the moment.
Kacchan grips his shoulders and pushes him at arm’s length, eyes wide and mouth agape. “What?”
Izuku smiles through his tears. “It’s you I’m in love with, Kacchan. I’ve loved you for so long.”
Then Kacchan is pulling him in and they’re kissing. It’s messy and tastes salty from both of their tears, but to Izuku it’s perfect.
Kacchan pulls back suddenly, looking furious. “Wait, d’you mean you almost died just because you didn’t want to fucking confess-”
Izuku reels him back in, laughing and deliriously happy.
Just then, it occurs to Izuku that he’s breathing free and clear for the first time in a long time.
Talk (BKDK)
I legit woke up in a cold sweat one night and suddenly felt the need to write a BKDK one-shot. So this is what came to mind.
With Bakudeku, I’ve always kept thinking about the ‘what-ifs’ in their future and how things would turn out if these two actually sat down and talked shit out.
This was actually meant to be my debut one-shot for both Bakudeku and BNHA, but because of unforeseeable circumstances, the Pocky Day one ended up being my first one instead.
I hope you guys like it! :D
Title: Talk
Summary: After having to give up his pro hero career two years ago, twenty-three year old Izuku is working at a bar in order to get some money and hopefully get his life together. One night, he gets an unexpected customer, who is someone that he hasn’t seen since graduating from UA.
You can also read it on AO3!
One-shot is under the cut!
Izuku stood behind the bar, polishing a glass as he listened to Ochaco complain about her lackluster day at the agency while drinking one glass of beer after another.
“And so, that’s how my day went: just patrolling the town. Like, that has its perks, but I was hoping for something bigger today! Like, Iida and I were texting not too long ago and he managed to bust a drug ring in Ginza!” she whined.
“I can see what you mean...” Izuku trailed off with a light chuckle.
He observed her as she chugged down her third glass of beer.
“I think you should stop drinking, Uraraka. You’re quite drunk already.” he commented.
“I don’t wanna though, Dekuuuuuu!” Ochaco stretched out across the counter, pressing her cheek to the cool surface as she stared at him.
“Should I call a taxi for you?”
“Nope! Don’t call one! I’ll call one myself when I’m ready!”
“Are you sure? Because I’ll call for you if you’re unable to.”
“I’m goooooooood~”
Izuku sighed as he set the glass down. He filled another glass with some ice water and slid it in front of Ochaco in hopes that it would sober her up as he looked at the television that hung in one corner of the bar, its fluorescent light brightening the area around it. While the volume was pretty low, he managed to get the gist of what was happening based on what they were showing along with the headline that ran along the bottom of the screen.
A picture of Katsuki from when he was fighting some villains in America was shown on the screen, causing Izuku to bite his lip as he briefly reflected on his pro hero career before the intense battle that ultimately made him have to give it all up.
He never admitted it out loud, but every time he saw his childhood friend on television, it made him glad that Katsuki was able to achieve his dream. Heck, he even moved to America and created his own agency there.
Katsuki was doing great in the hero world, unlike him, who had resorted to serving people drinks at a small bar in Roppongi.
A video of Katsuki’s recent endeavors in New York City began to play as Izuku’s thoughts began to meander into the unknown.
Kacchan...I wonder how he’s doing now...
He stared at the television, finding himself fascinated by the way Katsuki skillfully dealt with some villains robbing a bank as Ochaco began to beg him to give her another glass of beer. Her loud whining was what made him break eye contact with the television and he shot her a disapproving look.
“No, I’m not going to give you any more beer. You’re too drunk.” he chided.
Ochaco began to throw a fit as he nudged the untouched glass of water closer to her.
“Come on, drink some of that and sober up.” he told her as the door opened, the bell chiming.
“Ah, welcome in—“ Izuku looked over at the door only to freeze.
He was imagining things, right? Because there was certainly no way in hell that Bakugou Katsuki had just walked through that door.
He blinked his eyes twice and when that did nothing for him, he pinched his arm. Letting out a small yelp at the light pain that bloomed from his arm, he was forced to accept that this was actually happening.
What is going on here? I was just wondering how he was doing and then he shows up as if on cue, he thought to himself.
He was shocked beyond belief.
“...Kacchan?!” Izuku exclaimed in shock.
Katsuki looked over and his red eyes immediately zeroed in on Izuku. His eyes slowly narrowed, which made Izuku gulp.
“...What the fuck? Deku?” he barked out.
“Hm? Deku, why do you look so shocked—“ Ochaco followed Izuku’s gaze and she paled upon seeing Katsuki.
“Bakugou?!” she squeaked out.
She suddenly seemed like she had sobered up a bit upon seeing her former classmate. Katsuki glanced over at Ochaco.
“It’s Round Face, too.” he commented.
He then redirected his attention to Izuku.
“Out of all the fucking bars in Roppongi that Shitty Hair told me to check out, you had to be working at this one, Deku.” he bit out.
“This...it’s just a coincidence, Kacchan!” Izuku exclaimed.
“Coincidence, huh...” Katsuki trailed off.
Ochaco looked back and forth between Izuku and Katsuki before laughing nervously.
“Hey, Deku? I think I’m just gonna go...” she slid some money across the counter. “Good luck with him.” she said.
“Wait, you’re going to leave me by myself?!” Izuku exclaimed.
Ochaco didn’t respond as she quickly rushed out, closing the door behind her. Now, it was just Izuku and Katsuki in the bar. Izuku swallowed, his heart pounding loudly in his ears.
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?! It’s been a few years since we last saw each other. Should I just act normally around him, he thought to himself.
“I see you still mumble to yourself.” Bakugou commented.
Izuku’s hand flew over his mouth.
Shit, I can’t believe I said that out loud! How embarrassing, he thought to himself.
“Whatever.” Katsuki took his hands out of his camo patterned jacket that he had on over a black shirt. “Just get me something to drink.” he said.
“A drink? Y-Yeah, of course...” he watched as Katsuki got closer. “What would you like exactly...?” he asked.
“Just some whiskey. Preferably Fireball, if you have any.” Katsuki replied.
“I think we have some.” Izuku said as he began to gather a glass along with a bottle of the Fireball whiskey Katsuki had requested.
“Also, pour something for yourself.” Katsuki said.
Izuku nearly dropped the glass.
“Pour something for myself?” he questioned.
“Are you deaf, Deku? I said to pour something for yourself. I wanna talk.” he said.
“Talk...about what?” Izuku asked.
Katsuki glowered at him, his brows knitted and lips turned downward in a scowl.
“Goddammit, you still ask too many fucking questions. Just pour yourself a drink, annoying Deku.” he barked out.
“O-Okay! I will! Just...” Izuku glanced over at the door that led to the back room. “Let me see if I get someone to cover for me while I go on break...” he trailed off.
“Do what you need to do. I’ll be sitting at that booth over there.” Katsuki turned and headed towards the booth he motioned at before. “And make sure you hurry it up because I don’t have all evening! Make me wait and I’ll blast you out of this goddamn bar!” he snapped, holding his hand out and making some small flames explode from them as proof that he will do it.
Izuku yelped.
“Okay, okay!” he squeaked out as he hurried to make Katsuki’s drink along with his own, his heart pounding in his ears all the while as he eyed Katsuki plopping down into the booth and drumming his fingers against the table impatiently.
As he looked away, he barely missed the way Katsuki’s eyes were trained on his every movement, his fiery eyes blazing with an emotion that Izuku couldn’t quite place.
🧡💚🧡💚
After calling for one of his coworkers to take over for him, which ended with his coworker insisting that he get off his shift early and Izuku taking him up on that, he sat across from Katsuki with a glass of cola in front of him and a glass of Fireball in front of the blond.
He twisted the pastel blue straw in between his fingers as he eyed Katsuki, who only stared at him with pointed red eyes as he took small sips from his whiskey.
If Izuku was being honest, this situation was just downright awkward.
What in the world am I even supposed to say? How do I even start this conversation? Does he plan on starting it or does he want me to do it? I mean, shit, I was definitely not expecting Kacchan to show up from out of nowhere, so I don’t know how to handle this situation. The last time I saw him was when we graduated from UA and then he left for the States soon after. So technically, that was also the last time I spoke to him because we didn’t keep in touch after that. I mean, I don’t see why we would, to be honest. Our relationship got a little better after that fight we had and during the house arrest in the dorm, but it’s not like we got close enough to actually talk like friends would and exchange numbers and text all the time and hang out together—
“You’re fucking doing it again.”
Izuku jolted, his knee hitting the table as he stared at Katsuki, who shot him an annoyed look.
“You’re supposed to be talking to me, not to yourself, annoying Deku.” he bit out.
Izuku’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment upon realizing that he was muttering out loud again, his hand flying up to cover his mouth.
“Sorry, Kacchan...” he trailed off.
Katsuki only scoffed in response as he took another sip. As soon as he set his glass down, Izuku finally decided that now would be a good time to initiate the conversation.
“So...what brings you back to Japan?” he asked.
“I’m opening a branch for my agency here.” Katsuki replied.
“I see...” Izuku trailed off as he took a sip from his straw.
The bubbly liquid tickled his throat and made his stomach all fluttery, but that was nothing compared to how he felt sitting across from Kacchan, whose gaze made Izuku feel as if the blond were staring directly into his soul.
“Then, you’re just here to make sure that everything is going well with the construction?” Izuku asked.
“Well, that’s part of it.” Katsuki replied.
This piqued Izuku’s interest.
“Part of it?” he eyed Katsuki in surprise. “What do you mean?” he asked.
“Why does it matter to you?” Katsuki short back.
“You’re the one that brought it up, so don’t try and change the subject.”
“Fuck you.”
“Just tell me already.” Izuku said with an exasperated sigh.
“Have you always been this snappy?” Katsuki asked, his eyebrow twitching.
“Things change, you know. Like I told you before, I’m not the same ‘Deku’ you used to know.” Izuku told him.
Katsuki’s eyebrows continued to twitch and Izuku feared for a split second that he would send a blast in his direction. However, Katsuki simply finished his drink and called out to the bartender to fill up another glass with the spiced whiskey. Katsuki stood and retrieved his drink before returning to the booth and sitting back down with a huff. He took a sip as Izuku spoke.
“Will you tell me?” he asked.
Katsuki breathed out an annoyed sigh.
“Fucking fine. I’ll tell you, so stop fucking asking, Deku.” Katsuki set his glass down. “I’m moving back.” he said.
“You are?” Izuku questioned in surprise.
“It’s all the fucking news is talking about these days.”
“Really...”
Izuku stirred his drink with his straw.
“Is there...a reason why you’re coming back to Japan? I thought you would’ve liked it in the States.” he asked.
“No particular reason.” Katsuki replied.
Izuku’s brows arched at this.
This wasn’t like the blond. Katsuki Bakugou never did things for no reason. There was always a reason behind his actions, no matter how big or small or ridiculous it would be. So for him to tell Izuku that meant there was something more to this. He just wasn’t sure what that was.
Izuku was tempted to ask, but he figured that Katsuki might blow up on him like he usually did, so he decided against it.
“Okay then...” he trailed off.
He took more sips from his soda as he observed Katsuki.
The blond didn’t really change much. Besides the black stud that he had on his right ear and the fact that he was being a little more mellow than Izuku remembered, he was still the same Katsuki that called him Deku and threatened to use his quirk on him if he pissed him off too much. He was still hot-headed, easy to anger, prideful, handsome, cute, and just downright sexy—
Izuku blushed before he could stop himself.
Oh my god, what am I thinking?! I thought I stopped feeling this way towards Kacchan...unless that was a complete lie and I’m still head over heels in love with him, he thought to himself.
He watched as Katsuki brought the glass back to his lips, the amber liquid slipping past them. Izuku swallowed as Katsuki set his glass back down.
“Oi, Deku.”
Izuku jolted as he was pulled out of his thoughts. Katsuki scanned him before speaking.
“I heard about what happened between you and that villain two years ago.” he said.
Izuku stiffened.
“Oh...that.” he said.
He bit his lip as Katsuki continued.
“I watched the fight live. Hearing that your injuries were beyond repair and that you wouldn’t be able to work as a pro hero anymore came as a shock.” he stared off into the distance. “It’s a shame that they lost a good pro hero so soon.” he mumbled under his breath.
Izuku wasn’t sure if he was meant to hear that last sentence, but it made his heart flutter nonetheless.
In that moment, he wanted to slap himself.
No, you did not just flutter. You should not be fluttering, stupid heart, he told himself.
He finished off his soda as he looked at his phone.
“It’s this late already?” he began to panic. “I need to get home and feed Pochi and Kacchan before taking them on their walk—“ Katsuki cut Izuku off before he could continue rambling.
“Wait, hold up. Pochi and who now?” he asked.
“Uh, Pochi and Kacchan? They’re my two Pomeranians.” Izuku replied, quickly pulling up a picture of them on his phone and showing it to Katsuki.
Katsuki glared at the photo, boring holes into the square cellular device as he shot daggers at Izuku.
“You think you’re so fucking funny, Deku, naming your dog that.” he barked out, small flames erupting from his palm.
“He looked like you, Kacchan, how could I not name him that?” Izuku questioned.
“You really want me to blast you, don’t you?”
“Please don’t.”
Izuku pocketed his phone, stuffing it into his pants pocket and sliding out of the booth.
“But really, I need to go. I’m pretty sure you have things to do as well, so I’ll get going.” he fidgeted a little. “It was...nice to see you, Kacchan.” he told him.
As he turned and got ready to leave, Katsuki called out to him.
“Wait.”
That single word made Izuku stop in his tracks. He turned, watching as Katsuki slid out of the booth and left some cash on the table.
“I’ll walk you back.” he said.
“H-Huh?!” Izuku’s cheeks flushed red. “You don’t need to do that, Kacchan! I can go back on my own.” he told him.
“Let me walk you back.”
“I said you don’t need to do that—“
“Refuse my offer one more time and I’ll fucking blast you into next Thursday, fussy Deku.” Katsuki bit out, flames erupting from his hand again in warning.
“Th-Then, please take care of me!” Izuku shouted in a shrill voice, quickly bowing before him.
“You don’t need to fucking bow, Deku.” Izuku stood back up as Katsuki smacked him lightly on the back, nudging him forward. “Let’s go.” he said.
Izuku could only nod as he followed the blond out of the bar.
🧡💚🧡💚
Izuku and Katsuki walked side by side through the quiet streets, neither of them saying a word. Their breaths came out in white puffs like cigarette smoke, signaling how cold it was. Every once in a while, their fingers would accidentally brush together, causing Izuku to quickly yank his hand back as his heart raced erratically.
Why am I acting like some giddy schoolgirl? I seriously need to stop, he told himself.
A particularly cold breeze rippled through the air, making Izuku shudder. He hugged himself, rubbing his arms in hopes that that would make him somewhat warm.
Damn him for not bringing a jacket to work with him.
Just then, he felt something warm cover his trembling and cold body. He tugged lightly on it in surprise, seeing that it had an oddly familiar camo pattern. He whipped his head to look at Katsuki so fast that he nearly got whiplash from it.
“K-Kacchan?!” he exclaimed.
“Just keep that on you.” Katsuki replied, still looking ahead.
“But...won’t you be cold, too?” Izuku asked.
“I’ll be fine. They invented long-sleeved shirts for a fucking reason, you know, Deku.” Katsuki stated.
Izuku scrunched his nose.
“There you go, being rude again.” he commented.
“Fucking deal with it.” Katsuki shot back.
Izuku pouted as he looked away. He pulled Katsuki’s jacket more over him and he couldn’t help but inhale Katsuki’s scent. The hints of spice and cologne all screamed Katsuki and it made his shivering stop. His scent was somehow calming.
They eventually arrived at Izuku’s apartment thanks to his directions, stopping in front of a door that had the number 202 on it.
“Well, this is the place. Thank you for walking me back even though I insisted that I could go by myself.” he reached into his pants pocket for his keys. “I’ll see you around, I guess.” he said.
He took his keys out and pushed it into the slot as Katsuki spoke.
“Deku.”
“Yeah?”
Izuku looked over and was surprised to see the serious look on Katsuki’s face. Yeah, the blond was always serious, but this was different. It certainly felt different.
“Kacchan...?” Izuku spoke with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
“There was something that I lied about.” Katsuki admitted.
“Huh?” Izuku answered, blinking his eyes twice in confusion.
Katsuki lied about something? Well, that was something Izuku never heard before, especially since the blond was notorious for speaking his mind, regardless of how harsh his words came off as.
“My reason for coming back. I do have one.” Izuku sword he saw the blond blush. “It was because I missed you, annoying Deku.” Katsuki said.
Izuku blinked once. Then twice. Then Katsuki’s words registered in his mind and a blush crawled onto his cheeks.
Wait, did he just say what I think he just said, he mentally screamed.
“You...what?” Izuku asked.
“I said,” Katsuki walked over to him and trapped him against the door, one arm over Izuku’s head and the other against the door, fingers splayed out, “I missed you.” he said.
Izuku’s breath caught in his throat as he stared up into Katsuki’s red eyes, which held a blazing fire in them. It made him swallow, his heart racing faster. Katsuki’s hand traveled to caress his cheek before long fingers trailed along the side of his cup and gripping his chin, tilting it upward gingerly.
The simple touch sent sparks through Izuku and made fireworks erupt from within as Katsuki began to lean in. As Katsuki’s breath mingled with his own, Izuku realized what was about to happen.
Whoa, whoa, hold on, full stop! What is Kacchan doing?! He can’t be trying to kiss me, right? I mean, we just saw each other after so long! This is too sudden! I don’t think my heart can take this, he thought to himself.
“W-Wait, Kacchan!” Izuku exclaimed as he brought his hand over his mouth.
His heart jumped six feet into the air as Katsuki’s lips pressed themselves against his fingers. He glowered at Izuku.
“What, Deku? Why did you stop me?” he growled out.
“I...” Izuku slowly lowered his hand, which made Katsuki pull away. “Kacchan, this is very sudden...why did you try to kiss me just now...?” he asked.
“I thought that was obvious.”
“Then your definition of obvious must be different from mine because I don’t know.”
“Fine, I’ll tell you. And you better remember it, Deku.”
Katsuki leaned in towards Izuku’s breath, his breath tickling the shell of it. Izuku almost let out a small sigh as Katsuki spoke, his voice low and husky.
“I like you, Deku.” he said.
Izuku’s face resembled that of a rose. His heart almost leaped out of his chest as Katsuki’s words played over and over in his mind like a broken record.
Kacchan...likes me. Kacchan likes me...oh my god, Kacchan likes me! He has feelings for me! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god...!
He bit his lip.
But...again, this really is too sudden. I can’t just bring myself to say “I love you too!” and then start dating him. He was mean to me back when we were younger. Now he suddenly likes me?
He glanced at Katsuki, who also had a blush of his own on his cheeks.
But...it seems like he means it. Kacchan couldn’t fake a blush to save his life, anyway. That’s one thing I’ve always liked about him: he’s painfully honest with himself and straightforward about how he feels. Maybe I should give this a chance.
“Kacchan, I...this doesn’t feel right. We should go slow, don’t you think?” he suggested.
“Slow?” Katsuki questioned, acting as if Izuku suggested something crazy.
“Like, I don’t know, let’s talk and get to really know each other. Take me out on some dates and let’s have fun doing things together. Only then can we take the next step and you can...” the blush began to spread to Izuku’s ears. “...kiss me...” he murmured.
Katsuki stared at Izuku for what felt like forever. Then, he released a loud sigh.
“Fine...fucking fine! We can go slow! But don’t think I’ll be able to hold back forever. You know how quickly my patience can run out.” Katsuki said.
“I know, I know.” Izuku said.
“Now, give me your phone.” Katsuki said, extending his hand out.
“My phone?” Izuku parroted.
“How the hell am I supposed to give you my number otherwise? Give it.” Katsuki bit out.
“Alright, alright...” Izuku pulled his phone out. “You’re still as demanding as always.” he commented as he unlocked it.
“Zip it, Deku.” Katsuki snapped as he snatched the phone out of his hand.
He went into Izuku’s contacts and added his before handing the phone back to him.
“Here. I’ll text you when I figure things out.” Katsuki told him.
“Alright. I’ll be looking forward to it.” Izuku said with a smile.
“You better!” Katsuki turned to leave. “Good night, Deku.” he said.
“Good night, Kacchan.” Izuku replied.
He waved as Kacchan rose his hand and waved nonchalantly. The blond disappeared soon after. Izuku sighed, his heart finally calming down.
“Now, time to feed Pochi and Kacchan and then take them on their walk...” he trailed off as he unlocked the door and stepped inside.
Immediately, two balls of fluff rushed over to greet him.
“Ah!” Izuku laughed. “Hey Kacchan, Pochi!” he greeted.
Izuku bent down to pet them, Kacchan placing his paws on Izuku’s knee and licking his cheek as Izuku giggled.
“Kacchan, stop that!” he said as his phone dinged.
He looked down and saw that it was a text from Katsuki.
Already, he asked himself.
He went into his messages and read what the blond sent him.
Katsuki: Meet me in front of that bar you work at on Saturday at 6. We’re gonna go out to eat. And yes, I’m asking you out on a date, don’t you dare tell me no.
Izuku couldn’t help but laugh.
“That is so Kacchan...” he trailed off.
He typed out his response, a smile on his face.
Izuku: It’s a date, then. See you on Saturday, Kacchan.
“Chicken Soup”
Word count: 1,185 (this pleases me, being divisible by 5 is pretty cute huh?)
Warnings: Swearing (it’s katsuki, pretty self explanatory), that’s all?
Pairing:Bakudeku (again ik)
Prompt: “Put your arm around my-Or just fall on me, that works too.”
Dedicated to @todorokitops cause they’re amazing.
Fuck, fuck, fuck!
Bakugo Katsuki was many things, a dumbass included, not that he’d ever admit to that.
It had been a day where he’d been assigned to a more obscure city, one quite a distance from any hero organization. A city so small it didn’t have one of its own.
Originally, it was supposed to be more of a day for him to relax and (hopefully) increase his public image a bit, the guy wasn’t always a living embodiment rage.
But no, some shit eating villain with a fucking blizzard quirk had to ruin his plans.
He couldn’t work a sweat up that was worth a damn. All he got was a few sparks and that was it.
It was so cold he could feel his blood start to slow while he shivered.
When he’d finally decided to radio in to ask for help, it dawned on him he’d have to keep the villain distracted for at least another thirty minutes till help could get there.
I mean, there weren’t any heroes in the town besides himself anyways.
But of course Deku, shitty motherfucking Deku, had to be on his way home from doing fuck knows what. Probably some panel or some shit.
So of course Bakugo’s hero alert was sent back to not only H.Q. but any other heroes that happened to be nearby.
So of course the shitty nerd came, running straight towards the villain in nothing but green cargo shorts and a t-shirt that had the kanji for “t-shirt” on it. Not that they weren’t on friendly terms nowadays, he still harbored a bit of resentment towards the man. More so out of having been that way for several years than actually hating the man, he had to learn how to get over that.
He successfully captured the villain in under five minutes while Katsuki has struggled with it for thirty five? Freezing his ass off.
Bullshit.
And of course the small town’s news station was on their dicks as soon as the villain had been taken into custody.
When he later watched over the short interview, they both didn’t look great but did they really have to use a picture of him wrapped up in a blanket with a nose as red as cherry, for the thumbnail?
|~|~|~|~|~|~|
Geez I feel like fucking shit.
His stomach rumbled, causing him to look down at it before skeptically eyeing the basket sitting on the counter.
Mina had been over earlier, but with three ants following her, otherwise known as Kaminari, Kirishima, and Sero.
They’d all contributed to the care package that he’d managed to set on the counter before flopping back onto the couch, sniffling into its cushions. Passing out.
He woke up two and a half hours later, not feeling any better.
How could I, the number two hero, Bakugo fucking Katsuki, be sick? It was bullshit really, but what else could a man do?
“Godfuck, I sound like that prick Eijirou.” he grumbled to himself after thinking “manly” thoughts.
His stomach started to get a bit incessant and growled even louder than the first time. He fought the urge to growl back at himself, simply out of pure pettiness.
Stumbling, he got up and waddled over to the kitchen. Pulling a can of chicken soup out of the care package, not hearing the light knocks on the door.
God this is so fucking demeaning, canned soup. Canned god damn soup.
He pulled out a can opener, lining it up and pressing down, but fumbled to turn the handle.
A wave of lightheadedness hit the blonde, causing him to drop the can opener and grip the counter.
What was this shit? Was he seriously about to faint?
And then, “Kacchan, are you alright?”
FUCKING SHIT. WHY THE FUCK WAS THE NERD BACK? Katsuki could not deal.
The green-haired man walked up to the blonde, immediately offering his help.
“Put your arm around my - Or just fall on me, that works too.”
Katsuki had completely lost all strength, not even knowing why. He just felt so weak and couldn’t bear to stand anymore. At least Izuku was there to catch him.
Swiftly, Izuku scooped up the blonde and laid him back on the ‘L’ shaped couch to where he was sitting with his legs going across the length of it, but still sitting up in the corner.
All Katsuki could do was watch as his friend opened the can and microwaved it for him.
When he came back, he sat upright on the shorter part of the couch and handed the bowl to Katsuki. Only to realize the man was shaking so bad that he spilled most of the spoonful he’d retrieved from the bowl.
He grabbed the bowl and the spoon and went to feed Katsuki.
“The hell you think you’re doing nerd?”
“You looked like an old person Kacchan, you would have had two drops per bite if I let you feed yourself. Plus, it would get cold before you even ate half of it. Just let me feed you, old man.” Izuku added the last part on with a teasing smirk.
For once, Katsuki was glad he naturally flushed when he got sick, because it hid the new one coming from receiving that smirk.
Reluctantly, his mouth opened, which caused Izuku to smile victoriously.
The nerd was trying to kill him, but only if Katsuki didn’t kill him first for his continuous teasing.
“Kacchan, open wide for the airplane! Choo choo! Here comes the train Kacchan!”
Katsuki swore that he was secretly a sadist, with how much he tortured him.
When he finally finished his torture session meal, Izuku washed the bowl and spoon before heading down his hall?
When he emerged from the hall, he wore some old basketball shorts, drawstring pulled out half a foot to fit his hips. As well as one of Katsuki’s old skull t-shirts.
“What do you think you’re doing?” it was meant to sound intimidating but his voice was still hoarse so it came out weak.
“You’re not alert enough to stay by yourself, I’m spending the night.”
All that came in response was a grumble, he wasn’t exactly in good enough shape to fight him on this.
Izuku plopped next to him and flipped on the t.v. turning down the volume.
Katsuki wanted to sleep but wasn’t going to voice this to the man whose eyes had been glued to the t.v.
He came upon an All Might documentary, one he’s watched who knows how many times. It still enraptured him the moment the channels changed and he’d come upon it.
Katsuki just leaned back and closed his eyes, eventually he felt a little cold and not being entirely awake, he leaned into the source of heat next to him.
Izuku looked down to see Katsuki’s eyes fluttering lightly as he leaned into him. He grabbed a conveniently placed blanket off the back of the couch and placed it over the two of them. Laying down and pulling Katsuki closer to him before continuing to watch the movie.
That’s all, thank you for reading! I literally started this at like, 10pm and it’s currently 11:45 so i mean, this is an hour and fourty five minutes of work, so it’s not great but i still like it. i’m tired as fuck.
i used “the man” way too much holy shit
Rotten Spaghetti Noodles and a Stranger Things Marathon (Izuku Midoriya x Reader)
Tumblr media
Not gonna lie lol Bob’s Burgers inspired me with this one XD
Summary: Poor Deku is forced into a wild goose chase with Reader-chan after a prank goes horribly wrong on the most volatile classmate in 1-A...
Featuring: Precious Cinnamon Roll!!
You can find this story here too on ao3!: https://archiveofourown.org/works/17545592/chapters/41570912
You sighed heavily as you sat on the couch of the common room, staring at the girls who were just chatting frivolously with each other as per usual. At first you thought about going over to join in on their conversation, but they talked about the most boring topics sometimes that you decided to just sit and be bored by yourself.
Kaminari was pretty much your partner-in-crime when it came to doing fun things but he was hanging with Kirishima, Sero and Bakugou. Typical boys. But the more you thought about it, the more you realized you probably should have gone with him, even though Bakugou wasn’t crazy about the fact that you were friends with ‘Deku’. Well, that was understatement, he didn’t like that at all, he never had been in fact. Truth was, you grew up alongside him and Izuku, but you met Bakugou first, only to get closer to Izuku and remained his only friend even when Bakugou picked on him and always threw smart-ass comments his way which he hated. You assumed it was jealousy, but that was just your pride talking.
However, the more you thought about Bakugou, the more Izuku started popping up in your mind. Making you sigh in content, smiling fondly at the thought of the sweet, green-haired dork. How you adored him, he was almost too pure for this world to the point where it was almost REALLY annoying because you had a mischievous streak he often fretted over.
“Oh Izuku… you make me wish I was a better person.” You said quietly as you blushed a little bit, looking around and making sure no one could hear you going into ‘lovey-dovey’ mode. So to distract yourself, you finally got up off your ass and headed into the kitchen, maybe eating something could take away some of the boredom.
But you didn’t expect to see Izuku passing by through there, and he perked up upon seeing you. “(Y/N), Hey!” He quickly greeted you with that adorable smile that easily lit up your day every time you saw it, hell it practically sent you in one of your dazes as you smiled shyly and waved. “Hey Izuku…”
“Are you okay?” He asked you, concerned when he saw how ‘out of it’ you appeared, and you blushed warmly as you tried to downplay it.
“Ah yeah! Totally… hehe, I’m just hungry so I’m gonna… get something to eat that’s uh… why I came in here!” You stammered and laughed nervously, quickly opening the refrigerator as if to emphasize your point, even though Izuku looked a little confused by your odd behavior. He smiled at you anyway though, thinking you were cute.
But he flinched when you gasped suddenly, and loudly at the refrigerator.
“Oh Sweet mother of All-Might…” You said in pure awe as you stared wide-eyed at one of the containers you found in one of the deeper parts of the fridge. Carefully picking it up, you brought it out and placed it on the table, but the old, gloppy contents with some black spots and furry looking specks that stained its corners disgusted your friend a little bit.
“Wha… what in the world is that…?” Izuku nervously asked, but at that moment he realized he probably shouldn’t have asked that.
“It’s spaghetti! Remember a month ago when Kaminari suggested that we try foreign food for dinner, so we went with Italian and we decided to save some of the leftovers because it was so good that night?” You reminded him and the memory instantly hit him once it came back to him. “Oh right! I remember that… that was a month ago…?” Izuku asked, making a face. There’s no way that spaghetti could still be good at all if it’s a month old.
Going against your better judgment, you opened it up and the pungent stank quickly hit your nose as you turned away with a small gag, seeing Izuku cover his nose once the smell got to him too. Despite your disgust, you were extremely amused too. “Ohoho WOW… we totally forgot all about this because this stinks to high-heaven… it’s beautiful…” You snickered, and Izuku saw wheels turning in your head…
“You know what we gotta do with this right?”
“Throw it away?”
“Nope~! We gotta drop this on someone outside a window! We might NEVER get another chance like this! When you have rotten spaghetti noodles, you HAVE to drop it on someone. I mean you can’t NOT use it for that kind of thing. We have an opportunity of a lifetime…!” You explained as if it were the simplest idea in the world, but such a terrible idea made Izuku tremble and look panicked. That was practically a death sentence.
“W-What?! Y-You can’t be serious…! A-Are… Are you… are you crazy?!” He asked you, whisper-yelling as he looked around very nervously to make sure that nobody was around to hear this.
“Haha I’m totally off my rocker dude… you know this… now c’mon… it’s not like we’ll get caught. As soon as it hits somebody we’ll run like hell! It’s so easy!” You giggled almost like a mad-woman at the thought, and Izuku just shook even more with a terrified whimper. It wasn’t in his nature to pull pranks like that, and he didn’t really like anyone being mad at him.
“I-I don’t know… i-it sounds like a really bad idea… I mean, for one it’s really mean… and second, if we hit the wrong person, this could lead to some seriously bad consequences… it just… it’s a bad idea… in fact, it’s a horrible idea… we can’t do that…” Izuku thought outloud, hoping that somehow he could talk you out of this. He thought about how it could all go wrong, and who they could end up hitting. Classmates like Kaminari, Kirishima, Sero, Ashido, Tsuyu and Uraraka might be a little more forgiving if they got spaghetti’d. The rest like Iida, Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami would be pissed but not hold a serious grudge, and then there was Todoroki and Bakugou. The worst people to prank…
Todoroki would definitely be pissed about it, but maybe he’d be forgiving if he explained it to him enough. Bakugou on the other hand… would never, ever forgive that.
Izuku shuddered at the mere thought.
“Izuku… I can’t pass up this opportunity… besides, I’m not gonna hit anyone like Todoroki if that’s what you’re worried about. I like the guy. If I’m lucky I’ll hit Kaminari or Iida. I’d love to see the looks on their faces.” You grinned widely and laughed somewhat wickedly as you carried the container, spinning around ever so slightly, much to Izuku’s discomfort.
He couldn’t find it in him to say no to you though. The truth was Izuku would follow you wherever you went, including to yours and his death because he was sure this was going to get you both killed somehow by the wrong classmate. Meanwhile, you were grinning happily as you were taking him up to the balcony of your room and looking downward for some potential victims, holding the container of disgusting, old food in your hands. Smiling widely, almost crazily and giggling so hard you could barely contain yourself.
“Hee-hee Izuku~. You and I are about to do something the world should have done a LONG time ago. This right here is going to make history. Just give me the signal when you see someone.” You grinned wide as you held the now open container of rotten spaghetti noodles as Izuku looked down to make sure nobody like Bakugou or Todoroki were coming.
“Uh…” His better judgment kicked in though, this was a terrible idea and it was going to happen soon as he saw a few heads coming out the door, two blondes, a brunette and one redhead. Oh no.
“Uh oh…! (Y-Y/N)!” He tried to alarm you, but apparently THAT was the signal for you to start.
“Someone’s there! Here we go!” You cheerfully poured down the container, letting the gloppy, thick red sauce and stringy, stale noodles rain down to the earth much to Izuku’s absolute horror as you both stared down, a broad smile across your face while Izuku’s was a look of horror as he shouted.
(insert slow-motion) “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”
With a loud, squishing plop, the spaghetti noodles finally hit your victim in all it’s disgusting, stinky glory, staining his school uniform shirt with its foul, red and moldy sauce and decorating his blonde, spiky hair with a wreath of stale, wet noodles as he shouted in shock at the random onslaught.
“ARGH!!! What the fuck?!”
“Ewww dude…” Kirishima cringed and backed away slightly when his friend got splattered by old, moldy food, crinkling his nose in disgust when the smell hit him.
“Gross! What… what the hell is that…?!” That was Kaminari’s voice, and he shamelessly covered his nose as he forced himself to not snicker at his unfortunate classmate’s incident.
“Hey that’s… the spaghetti from last month…” Sero figured it out, and he looked a little nervous once he saw their friend’s look of shock quickly turn into an enraged expression as he looked upwards to see the identity of who they assumed would be his murder victim.
“K-Kacchan…!” Izuku froze up like he was hit with a paralysis quirk once he saw that it was Bakugou that you had ended up hitting. Now he was a hundred percent sure that this was going to be the end for you and him.
“Oh shit… is that Bakugou…?” You peered downwards a little bit to get a better look, but instantly regretted that once Bakugou’s seering, crimson red eyes looked upwards and made contact with your now wide, shocked (E/C) eyes as Izuku promptly freaked out and trembled like a leaf.
If looks could kill, you would definitely be dead. You could practically hear his feral growling as he clenched his fists.
“Hide. Hide. Hide! Hide! Hide!!” You and Izuku both exclaimed in alarm to each other, trying to back away as much as you could to avoid being seen by the explosive teen, but it was too late. He already saw you both.
“Deku! Shitty girl?!” Bakugou was livid, and looked ready to kill the two people he’s known since childhood and his friends could see it as they backed away a little bit. Seeing Bakugou angry wasn’t a spectacle, but after that trick. He wasn’t going to let neither of you get away.
However, as scared as you were, you couldn’t let Bakugou terrify you into submission since this was an accident. “Ohohokay… look dude… that was a total fluke on my part… that was supposed to be for Kaminari.” You attempted to reason with the pissed-off blonde, ignoring the indignant ‘Hey!’ coming from the former. “You don’t have to go all Lord Explosion Murder-y on us…” As calm as you were, you should have known better than to try to reason with Bakugou when he was this pissed. To make matters worse, you were snickering the entire time and trying to cover your mouth to quell them.
“Bullshit!! This is your way of getting back at me! And don’t fucking lie to me I'm right aren't I?!” He angrily wiped off the sauce and noodles off himself as much as possible despite how disgusting it felt on his hands and the smell was horrific. Bakugou didn’t believe a word you said. Ever since Izuku acquired One For All, and even after he found out the truth about it, him and Bakugou still weren’t exactly friend-ish yet. And with your own improvement of your telekinesis quirk getting stronger ever since you got to this school, Bakugou assumed that you and Deku were somehow in cahoots together to try and take him down a peg. He wasn’t wrong on YOUR part though.
“N-No! Kacchan we swear we would never!!” Izuku was going to make a vain attempt to reason with him, but you quickly took the floor to protect him.
“He’s right. Leave Izuku alone, besides Bakugou, if I wanted to get back at you, it would have been a LOT worse than this. Though in hindsight this is pretty brilliant. Since that’s rotten spaghetti noodles you’re covered in. I recommend taking a shower though I can smell you from up here!” You explained but didn’t make yourself sound any better as you took the moment to tease him a little bit, wafting your hand for emphasis even though it wasn’t an exaggeration. You can literally smell that rotten spaghetti from up here. And it pissed him off to no end.
“What the hell was that?!”
“Stop taunting him…!” Izuku advised you worriedly, since he knew better than to make Bakugou madder if he was already mad. You didn’t listen.
“I said take a shower because you stink Noodlehead! Get it?!” You snickered and laughed, tears in your eyes when seeing Bakugou practically turn red from such vicious rage. “H-Hey c’mon man… s-she’s just playing…” Kirishima trembled slightly when seeing how pissed his friend was, and he wanted to save you from getting killed by trying to calm down Bakugou but he just ignored him.
“Why you fucking bitch! Don’t you fucking laugh at me! Wait til I get up there I’ll kill you both!!” He declared and quickly made his way inside the building and now you and Izuku couldn’t help but panic a little bit.
“Why did you say that?!” Izuku frantically asked you, looking at you like you had to have been insane to provoke a dragon-tempered boy like Bakugou.
“It was funny!” You gave your rather weak reasoning, but that didn’t matter now that you were both pretty much doomed. At least you would die alongside Izuku, the boy you loved with all your heart. However, a sudden idea came to your head as you grabbed his hand and lead him out of your room.
“W-What are you doing?!”
“I have an idea! But we need Yaoyorozu!” You stated, quickly rushing over to the common room where you thankfully found Momo among the girls. “Momo! Momo we need your help!” Rushing over to the tall girl, you clasped your hands together in a begging manner, much to her shock and confusion.
“What’s the matter?!” She asked in worry once she heard the urgency in your voice. However, once you explained it all quickly to her, she wasn’t very amused at all by how you childishly pranked Bakugou, but she helped you both anyway with what you needed because she wanted to help you and Izuku stay alive.
Bakugou was on the prowl as he marched inside the building, resembling an animal hunting down prey with Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero meekly following behind so they could hold him back in case he really did try to kill you and Izuku.
He knew where your room was, but he assumed the two of you were going to hide somewhere like the ‘cowards’ you were as he went up the first floor. Some of his classmates, quickly backing away when seeing how pissed he was, and at how smelly he was since he couldn’t get the spaghetti stink off of him.
But he didn’t pay attention to all the damn extras, all that matter was finding you and Deku so he could kill you both for making him look like a fool and daring to prank him like that. And he was surprised when he saw you both just lounging on the couch of the common room without a care in the world as he growled like a wild animal.
“You idiots! So you both want to die huh?!” He barked aloud in the once-quiet room, aggressively grabbing yours and ‘Izuku’s’ shoulders roughly only for the bodies in front of him to suddenly collapse, revealing two headless mannequins wearing your blazers with soccer balls bouncing to the ground which acted as the heads as they adorned wigs of Izuku’s messy green hair and your (H/C) (H/S) hair.
“D-Did their heads just fall off?!” Kirishima asked, his eyes wide with horror as he began trembling, having not seen that the bodies were just dummies and not really you or Izuku.
“Y-You really killed them?!” Kaminari exclaimed in the same terror as Kirishima, since he didn’t see the dummies or the soccer-balls either.
Bewildered and wide-eyed, Bakugou picked up the soccer ball with Izuku’s hair, squeezing it hatefully until it popped as he let out an extremely irritated growl. That was the second time you made him look like a fool, he was SO going to kill you both now.
“DEKU!! SHITTY GIRL!!” He screamed so loud you swore the entire building shook. It was definitely loud enough for you and Izuku to hear from downstairs as you ran down to the bottom floor.
“AH! Kacchan figured it out!!” Izuku started to panic again as he ran with you out of the building, although you couldn’t help but snicker because you wished you could’ve seen the look on his face.
“Duh Izuku I heard him! I’m pretty sure the whole fucking country heard him too! Come on! We can’t be here, not while he’s in that mood, I know where we can hide!” You said as the two of you started to run away from Heights Alliance, passing a few of your confused classmates as they watched you run.
However, neither you or Izuku expected Bakugou to show up so soon as you both heard the door slam wide open.
“You two aren’t getting away that easy! You can run but you can’t fucking hide from me!!” Bakugou shouted, immediately chasing after you both. He instantly knew that you were both going to try and hide from him, just like you two always did when the three of you were children.
You both shouted in shock, and Izuku reluctantly turned to see Bakugou coming for you guys with bloody murder in his eyes. “He’s already caught up?!” You asked in shock, confident that your dummies would have distracted him for longer than that. “You dropped spaghetti on him!” Izuku exclaimed matter-of-factly, not that surprised that Bakugou had caught up this fast.
“I know I did Izuku! But I swear my plan was fool-proof!”
“You know Kacchan is no fool! And he was the fastest in every grade in elementary and middle school!”
“Well I guess that means we’re fucked huh?!” You asked while you two kept running, and you couldn’t help but feel a little bit scared that you were going to be fucked if you didn’t think of something fast. However, you and Izuku nearly perked up upon seeing someone from afar, but the red and white was all the indication you both needed to know. And as soon as you saw Todoroki up closer, you grinned and immediately called for help.
“Help us Todoroki!!”
That certainly surprised him as he stopped with a bewildered expression as you and Izuku ran past him fast enough to send wind through his hair. “Midoriya? (L/N)? What’s going on?” He was calm in spite of the fact that you and Izuku were both freaking out as you both took a moment to stop for a minute.
“W-We’re kind of running from someone…” Izuku started off, panting a little bit as you finished his sentence. “It’s Bakugou! And he’s going to kill us! Build a wall of ice or fire fast!” You kind of begged since Bakugou was getting closer.
“Don’t even think about helping them IcyHot! Or I’ll kill you too!” Todoroki paid him no mind though, he heard you call him for help and he did exactly that. In the blink of an eye, Todoroki raised his right side and created a giant wall of ice to block his volatile classmate from getting to you and Izuku. “DAMMIT!!!” Now all three of you heard Bakugou’s enraged shouts, but it didn’t take too long for you to start hearing explosions as he began carving through the wall to get to you, Izuku AND Todoroki. That was three on his hit list now.
“Thank you Todoroki! I think you saved our lives!” Izuku was extremely grateful as you couldn’t help but sigh in relief. That wall would definitely buy you three some time.
Although he was confused, Todoroki started to run with you and Izuku but he was clearly looking for an explanation. “Why is he chasing you two?”
“Oh, he’s just mad because I accidentally dropped some rotten spaghetti on his head. It was hilarious! You should’ve seen his face, I thought he was going to literally explode like a volcano..." As you snickered, Izuku quietly whined a little bit since as much as you found it funny, he wasn't crazy about the fact that yours and his already complicated childhood friend probably hated you two even more now.
"Why would you do that?" Todoroki asked you, his voice sounding somewhat incredulous since he saw no rhyme or reason to doing such a childish act. Because you were friends with Izuku, he had gotten fairly used to your presence and steadily became your friend too, but he found you very strange due to your behavior and penchant for mischief and juvenile jokes.
"Because it's funny! And besides Todoroki, life-lesson, when life gives you rotten spaghetti noodles, you dump it on someone!" You exclaimed and gave your reasoning, but of course Todoroki wasn't amused at all.
"That sounds like nonsense." He stated bluntly, but you just stuck your tongue at him. "So you're telling me that if life gave you rotten spaghetti noodles that you wouldn't dump it on your shitty dad if you had the opportunity?" You raised a brow at him, and that somewhat silenced him a bit as he thought about that. And you laughed a bit when you saw him give the smallest smile when he clearly envisioned that and started to see some of the comedy in that. Including the idea of Bakugou getting spaghetti'd, he was starting to wish he had seen that now just a little bit.
"Not you too Todoroki!!" Izuku exclaimed in slight shock, since dumping old pasta is why they were even running in the first place, and yet you and Todoroki were clearly amused by it.
"DAMN YOU YOU ICYHOT BASTARD!!" Bakugou finally broke through the wall, and you three were far enough now but he could still see you, and the three of you turned to see the same murder in his eyes.
"RUN!!" You shouted as both your friends followed you, and Todoroki seemed to tag along without complaint. He wasn't scared or anything, but he felt that he should probably stay with you and Izuku as long as Bakugou is that angry with you both. He wasn't letting up, and somehow he managed to get closer even though you three were all running as fast as you could thanks to adrenaline as shocked and confused classmates and students alike stopped and stared.
"We need to throw away dead weight!" You suddenly said to Izuku and Todoroki, who both looked at you in slight shock. "WHAT?! You're not talking about one of us are you?!" Izuku asked you, wide-eyed and really hoping you wouldn't go that far.
"What are you nuts?! I ain't throwing away neither of you guys!" You said, and as soon as you saw one classmate you quickly used your quirk.
"D'AH! Why am I floating?! Have I died and gone to heaven?! Why are all the girls still wearing their uniforms?!" Mineta asked loudly, before he saw you and you smirked evilly at him as he shrieked in horror. He let out another pig-like squeal as you sent him flying right towards Bakugou whose eyes slightly widened and he quickly raised his palm to blast away that little punk into the atmosphere as you each heard a scream and a little 'ding'.
"You're bad (Y/N)..." Izuku said with a tremor of fear in his tone as you laughed happily, "I know!!" Cheerfully, you used your quirk to use anything else in your vicinity to toss and block Bakugou from getting any closer, and you did manage to succeed when some of the items, including books, trash-cans, and a few other students to slow him down as you snickered again when you heard Bakugou's enraged roars.
2 Hours Later
After 2 hours of running around and playing wild goose chase with Bakugou, you, Izuku and Todoroki finally outran him and came to the best hiding place you knew he wouldn't find you at. The comfort of your house and in your (style) room.
“(Y-Y/N)… you know that we can’t hide in your room forever right? Kacchan probably remembers that you and I would always come over here to hide from him whenever he was really mad, and not only that, but we still have school to attend even if he’s still going to be mad about what just happened. There’s just no way we can avoid him unless we-”. You stopped Izuku as he started mumbling, looking rather nonchalant as you sat on your bed and turned on Netflix.
“He’s not going to find us here… and even if he does, he can’t get in…” You said breezily, not really worrying about Bakugou at the moment as you relaxed on your bed. “Sit with me Izuku. C’mon, let’s just figure out what to watch.” Patting your bed and gesturing him to sit, Izuku blushed as he nervously made his way over and sat beside you, his face beginning to redden as you scooted closer to him with a content smirk.
Much to Todoroki’s discomfort, whom you had invited into your house on your run from Bakugou. “This feels odd... to see you and Midoriya like this..." He said very awkwardly, even though he was oblivious to how you and Midoriya felt about each other, he just knew that the atmosphere was a little awkward. Especially since he and Midoriya were in a girl’s room, and he didn't quite understand why Midoriya suddenly began to blush like that. Nor did he quite know that this what it meant to be the third wheel.
“Ah. Todoroki. C’mere. Sit with us. Plenty of room.” However, you weren’t going to leave Todoroki out. Izuku was the one for you, but you were a bit of a pervert at heart and didn’t mind a very attractive boy like Todoroki being close to you too.
That surprised the boy, and he appeared unsure for a moment until you patted the free space for him to sit down. “C’mon. Right here it’s cool.” You gently coaxed him, and with that Todoroki slowly made his way over to sit down on your bed, next to you while Midoriya was on your other side. You looked extremely pleased and content as you sighed happily.
“You know. You two are my favorite classmates.” You admitted, which earned a bright blush from Izuku and a light flush of surprise from Todoroki.
“Y-You’re just saying that…” Izuku got rather bashful, avoiding your gaze as his face visibly turned red which you found absolutely adorable.
“Why me?” Todoroki sounded more confused, he was strangely flattered but he didn’t know why you liked him.
“Todoroki. I like you because you’re powerful, and you’re not annoying. Plus you’re a lot nicer to me now! You were a total jackass at first until Izuku got to ya.” That came out rather blunt but cheerful as Todoroki nearly expressed some guilt for his past behavior, since he didn’t treat you with much regard before befriending Midoriya. “And you’re cute so that’s a bonus. The other guys are such guys…” You added, and Todoroki looked almost more surprised when you called him cute.
“Izuku. I like you because you've been my friend since we were both really little. I might have met Bakugou first, but I liked you a lot better. I've always liked you a lot better." You admitted as Izuku began to blush even harder, his green eyes widening as his mouth formed in an 'oh' shape as you continued to speak, blushing warmly, "And not only that but you've stuck with me... even though I'm no better than Bakugou. I always drag you into crazy shit, like today, and yet you still stuck with me. I'm a loser." You chuckled and rolled your eyes in a moment of self-loathing.
"But you never once said 'no' to me. You knew what you were getting into, you knew all my ideas were insane... but you stood with me the whole time... Izuku you make me wish I was a better person... that's why I like you so much... in fact... that's why I... I like-like you so much..." Your face burned red as you grinned shyly once you finally admitted your feelings for the boy you've known since childhood. Izuku's blush deepened, his look of shock not fading as Todoroki also blushed at the sincerity of your words, he wasn't good at reading feelings but based on the way you were talking to Izuku, it seemed that you liked him as more than just a friend.
"You... like-like me?" Izuku asked shakily, obviously still in shock at the mere idea that someone actually liked him as more than just a friend.
"Duh." You smirked and chuckled, thinking that your feelings were pretty obvious since your other classmates, especially Mina and Asui picked up on it fast and had actually encouraged you to tell him. And you did!
"I-I... w-wow I..." He was smiling wide, trying and failing to conceal his grin as he couldn't stop blushing, but he did look you in the eyes as you smirked and put your arm around him. "(Y/N)... I-I... I like-like you too... I kind of... always have... I kind of always thought you like-liked Kacchan though... since you were always making fun of him..." He admitted, even though part of him also knew that you didn't like Bakugou that way even if you did tease him in a manner similar to how girls taunted boys they liked.
"Nope! Hahaha! That porcupine might be fun to mess with, but I don't like-like him... not even sure I like him either though." You shrugged your shoulders as Izuku tried not to snicker, but he squeaked and blushed crimson once he felt your lips peck him on the cheek. And now Todoroki really felt like the third wheel, this was very awkward, and yet at the same time he was also kind of happy for you and Izuku.
"Do you like me?" He suddenly asked you and you and Izuku looked at him in confusion. However, Izuku wasn't jealous because he knew Todoroki didn't think of you like that. At least he seriously hoped he didn't.
But you couldn't help but smile wide at the heterochromatic boy. "Oh Todoroki of course I like you! I just don't like-like you." You affirmed and that reassured him a little bit, relieved that you liked him. "
"You're both saying 'like-like'. When you say that, does that mean when someones likes another person beyond friendship?" He asked, and you and Izuku both nodded with smiles, and Todoroki seemed to get that now.
"That's it bro. Now... Todoroki, new boyfriend, let's do a Stranger Things marathon." You grinned, putting your arm around your new boyfriend whom was smiling and still blushing, especially when you called him 'boyfriend'. Izuku couldn't believe it, he was ecstatic! Even if Bakugou was still angry and out there looking for you both, he was actually your boyfriend now, and you were his girlfriend! There was nothing that could spoil this feeling...
“(Y/N)!” Suddenly, your mom called you and you groaned in annoyance because you had to sit up from your comfortable spot.
“Yeah Ma?”
“Your old friend Katsuki is outside!” Your’s and Izuku’s eyes widened with shock, horror more evident on his face as he looked ready to freak out again, “AH! I knew it! I knew he’d remember!” He exclaimed, getting up off the bed and peeked out your window, flinching once he saw the still pissed blonde walking towards your house.
“Don’t let him in mom! MOM!!" You pleaded for your mother to NOT let Bakugou in, and although she listened to you. He wasn't going anywhere until you and Izuku came outside.
"He's not going to let this go..." Izuku muttered fearfully as Todoroki sighed at just how vindictive Bakugou could be. Obviously he himself wouldn't have been happy if he got spaghetti'd, but he wouldn't really stake someone out just to beat them bloody.
"I've got a plan..." You said deviously, bringing out your phone as Izuku and Todoroki looked at you, not knowing exactly what your 'plan' was but it was probably something underhanded.
"Don't tell me... you know someone...?" Izuku asked you with a small sigh and you smiled at him and blew him a kiss. "Izuku, I'm not letting Katsuki ruin this for us... sure it might be my fault, but still! I know how to get him to leave us alone..." You said sweetly, and Izuku decided to let you take care of it. You were his girlfriend now, and he trusted you.
"Hello Shinsou?" You smirked as soon as your call went through, and Izuku flinched at the knowledge that you knew Shinsou, and well enough to have his phone number...
"Yeah... I'm gonna need your help..."
There you go again. But Izuku adored you with all of your heart, and you adored him with all your heart too. It was all worth it, even if it was at Bakugou's expense of being spaghetti'd.
In fact, that made it all the more worth it to you. You got Izuku's heart, and you got to dump rotten pasta on Bakugou. This was pretty much the best day of your life.
Party Time-part 2
Here's the ending to the part 1 I wrote. :))
---
Katsuki carried Izuku down the hall towards the elevator as they kissed messily. Ashido giggled at them and Todoroki sighed before getting up to grab water for her. The elevator opened quickly and Katsuki brought them inside, shoving Izuku against the side wall. He quickly pushed the button for his floor and went back to sloppily mashing his lips with Izuku's. The smaller male brought his hands up from Katsuki's shoulders to his cheeks and cradled his boyfriend's face. He took a moment to breathe as he locked eyes with the blond in front of him, a bashful grin stretched Izuku's lips and he giggled breathlessly.
“You're breath kind of stinks, Kacchan.” Katsuki rolled his eyes playfully with a smirk.
“Whatever, dork.” He readjusts Izuku in his arms as the elevator doors open, walking a few doors down until they reach his door and he opens it without struggle. He kicks the door closed behind him and gently lays Izuku's back against his soft bed sheets. He leans down and this time there is no rush, Katsuki seems to have sobered up some and cleared the haze in his mind, they kiss soft and slow. Izuku doesn't mind. He rather likes the gentler side of Katsuki that they all see more and more as the days go by.
Katsuki pulls Izuku farther up the bed so that his head is on the pillows and plops himself beside his boyfriend. They laid together quietly, their hands soft and wandering each other's bodies, kisses exchanged every little while. Katsuki's forehead leans against Izuku's and he moves to rest his arms, one on Izuku's hip and the other connected with Izuku's between them. Their legs intertwined and Izuku closes his eyes.
Katsuki can't stop staring at his boyfriend. He lets his gaze travel over the vast expanse of freckles on the other's face, over his pink cheeks, his chapped but wet lips. He raises his hand from Izuku's hips and brings it to rest on his cheek, he brushes his thumb across the small male's closed eyelids. Izuku opens his eyes and Katsuki stares into the emerald color, he feels nostalgic and almost wants to cry at how much he feels for the small but strong, admirable boy in his arms. Izuku must notice because he smiles compassionately at Katsuki and brings Katsuki's hand to his lips in a gentle kiss.
“I love you, so much,” Katsuki's words are quiet in the air as he moves his face into Izuku's neck and brings his arms to wrap around his waist in a warm hug. Both the movement and words surprise Izuku but then he relaxes into his boyfriends warm embrace and lets his chin rest on Katsuki’s head. The quiet of the night envelopes them and it's another few minutes before Izuku responds.
"I love you, too, Kacchan." Katsuki had already fallen asleep though, and didn't hear him. He smiled anyway and as he lay with his boyfriend he carded his fingers through soft blonde hair. It took Izuku awhile before he could sleep, he wasn't too tired, but once he did his dreams were peaceful. A nice change from his usual nightmares.
***
"Kacchan." No response.
"Kacchan." Again, no response. Izuku sighed and reached over to shake his boyfriend a little harder than before. With a loud groan followed by a lot of grumbling, Katsuki was finally awake. Izuku smiled.
"Good morning, sleepyhead. I made breakfast. Everyone else already ate so i just made some for us. Here's some water and Tylenol, okay? I'm gonna head down and dish up your plate for you." Izuku leans down and lays a kiss on Katsuki's forehead before turning around to head out of the room.
Izuku quickly dished up their plates and but the time he'd had everything set up at the table katsuki had come downstairs. They sat and quietly ate together. Some of their other classmates still found the exchange so bizarre. Katsuki and Izuku, dating? Ha, they'd have laughed in whoever said that's face, if only it hadn't been the boys themselves. Their friends still supported them though.
Katsuki quietly thanked Izuku and dug into his food. Izuku only smiled in return and they continued to eat in peace. The day passed by fairly quickly, not much happened after that. The class was still busy cleaning up the common area since most of them were too out of it to do anything besides sleep the night before. Thankfully, Katsuki wasn't forced to help. His head pounded and he swore he was seeing white spots. After that, the exploding blonde decided to get some more rest. He couldn't do much about it anyway since his boyfriend practically declared himself Katsuki's caretaker for the day.
"Hey, how're you feeling?" Izuku spoke quietly, so as to not make his boyfriend's headache worse.
"Like shit," Katsuki grumbled. He slowly opened one eye and then smirked before reaching out to grab Izuku's hand and yanked him into bed. Izuku chuckled and moved to get more comfortable on the bed. Izuku was glad Katsuki's back was to him otherwise he would have chickened out when he spoke.
"Katsuki, I love you." The mentioned boy's eyes went wide and he turned around to look at Izuku so quickly. But he was just met with a sweet, loving smile on Izuku's face, his eyes closed. Katsuki stared at his boyfriend for another minute before practically launching himself at the poor boy. He smothered him in kisses. Kissed his forehead, his lips, the tip of his nose, his cheeks and then brought his lips back down onto Izuku's.
Katsuki's chest moved quickly. He was crying, Izuku realized. Katsuki was crying and kissing Izuku like it was life or death. Izuku supposes that's not wrong, but he doesn't want to think about it. He wipes away the tears and cups Katsuki's face as he kisses back.
They were so happy. They felt at peace. The worry and anxiousness that came with being a hero faded away and in its place lay trust. Katsuki decided it then, he'd never let anything happen to Izuku. He'd protect him with his life. Because he loved him.
Meteor Shower
For Twin Stars Week, Day 1: Stargazing / Blood / Blankets / Childhood
(Read on AO3 here! ♡)
“Hurry up, Deku!”
“A-ah, wait up, Kacchan!” Izuku called out.
The grass rustled beneath the small stomps of his small feet as he worked his way up the small hill, lugging a thick, fuzzy All Might blanket behind him. He panted, having crested the hill, only to find there was another, larger hill for him to climb up.
Izuku sighed, partially out of exhaustion, partially of frustration, and mostly of awe. “Kacchan really can do anything, huh?” he mumbled to himself, watching the silhouette of his childhood friend stand atop the next hill, standing triumphantly. He could see it now: Kacchan grinning as he gazed up at the brightest stars already glimmering in the darkening sky; a challenge only Kacchan and his brilliant confidence could do.
“Hey, what’re you standing around for? C’mon, Deku!”
Izuku blinked out of his thoughts. “Oh, oh right! I’m coming, Kacchan!” With newfound energy, he sprinted down the smaller hill he was standing atop of, nearly tripping over his feet, and then found himself running back uphill once more.
He wheezed, forcing his tiny legs up, step by step. Each and every inch closer to the top was an arduous task, no doubt harder with the thick blanket behind his back.
“You’re so slow,” Kacchan said flatly.
Izuku flinched and nearly let out a scream of surprise from his friend’s sudden presence beside him. “Ka-Kacchan?! What’re you--”
“Gimme that,” Kacchan tugged on Izuku’s blanket, pulling it off of his shoulders. “Now c’mon, we don’t got all night!” He began running up the hill, Izuku’s blanket in tow.
Izuku was stunned for a second, then smiled. “Right,” he said, wiping the sweat away from his face before he, too, began running after. He felt lighter, freer, thanks to the heavy weight lifted from off his shoulders, relishing in the feeling of increased speed as he made it up the hill. Izuku made it just in time to see Kacchan spreading out their blankets neatly atop the grass.
“’Bout time,” Kacchan said with a grin, plopping himself on his own blanket.
Izuku laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as he sat down. “Sorry about that.”
“Don’t be,” Kacchan tossed Izuku a juice box. “We didn’t miss anything.” He stabbed his own juice box with the plastic straw, sipping on the apple juice.
Izuku followed suit, the cool sugary drink a welcome guest to his parched tongue. He gazed upwards as they sat in mutual silence, watching the crescent moon rise slowly upwards to catch up with its twinkling sisters. In some, unusual way, it reminded Izuku of himself and the recent events.
His lips perked up into a small smile. “Kacchan,” he said, setting the juice down, “doesn’t the sky look so pretty?”
“Hmm?” Kacchan glanced over. Sparkling ruby eyes met with shining emerald eyes, if only briefly. He looked back up at the sky. “Yea, but just wait ‘til the meteor shower starts. That’s when it gets really cool!”
Izuku laid down, staring up at the sky. “When’s that supposed to happen again?”
“Soon,” Kacchan said. “Any moment now... oh!”
A streak of light flashed across the evening sky, so fast that Izuku would’ve missed it if he had just blinked.
But he hadn’t.
“Whoaaa,” Izuku breathed out. “That looked like a shooting star!”
Kacchan laughed. “Deku, shooting stars are falling meteors.”
Izuku glanced over incredulously. “What? They are?!”
“Yeah, you dummy,” Kacchan grinned as he looked at Izuku. “What did you think a meteor shower was gonna look like?”
“I dunno,” Izuku mumbled, staring back up at the sky. Another streak of light dashed across the sky, this time in the other direction. “But... if they’re shooting stars, does that mean we can make wishes on them?”
Kacchan was silent for a second. “I s’pose so,” he said, quietly.
Izuku beamed. “Then... then that means I can make as many wishes about being an amazing hero with Kacchan, right?” The energy in his voice was barely contained.
Kacchan scoffed. “You can’t tell anyone else your wish, or else it won’t come true, Deku.”
“Yeah, well... I haven’t told you my exact wishes, Kacchan!” Izuku said back playfully.
Kacchan was silent. “Do what you want, Deku,” he mumbled, eyes steady on the glittering sky.
Izuku, too, fell silent as he watched the streaks of light dart across the sky, zipping between stars and seemingly falling towards the distant horizon. With every falling meteor, he made a wish.
They were simple wishes, really.
I wish to be a hero, just like All Might! I wish to have an amazing quirk! I wish to save people! I wish to be friends with Kacchan forever! I wish Kacchan and I can be heroes together!
But simple as they were, they all came from the heart.
Even as the evening dragged on, the falling streaks of light leaving their brief trail over the night sky, Izuku wouldn’t stop wishing. Even when his eyelids began to feel heavy, he still wished whenever he saw a shooting star.
Until...
He fell soundly asleep.
Katsuki sat up, glancing over at the softly snoring Deku.
The meteor shower had ended (or at least, that was according to his research), and it was getting late enough in the evening to where the temperature dropped to chilling levels.
And yet, somehow, the green-haired dummy was sleeping so peacefully atop his blanket, a small trail of drool streaking down his chin.
Katsuki suppressed a laugh at the sight, and scooted closer to Deku. He was contemplating waking the sleepyhead up, to tell him they had to go back (because he was sure their parents wouldn’t appreciate them being out overnight), but...
When he looked at that soft, freckled face, sleeping with such serenity in the cold, dark evening, he couldn’t find it in himself to disturb him.
Katsuki glanced back up at the evening sky. The stars still dotted the sky in brilliant speckles, the crescent moon the watchful keeper as she shined her soft pale rays onto the resting Earth below. It was honestly quite beautiful, so much so that whenever he had to wrench his eyes away, it felt almost painful.
But he, too, was tired. He sighed, sometimes wishing time never had to move forward, as he scanned the gorgeous night sky one last time, if only to permanently engrave this memory in his mind.
There, he saw one last streak of light.
I wish for us to be heroes together.
It was a wish so sickly sweet, he would never tell Deku he ever said such a thing. But, it was the one wish he made that evening.
He laid back down, beside Deku, and picked up his own blanket, tossing it atop of them. Katsuki then rolled onto his side and gazed at Deku’s peaceful, sleeping face.
He let his heavy eyelids succumb to the wills of sleep as they drifted slowly shut, his imagination replaying the memory made that evening: of the shooting stars, of Deku’s beaming face, of the beautiful night sky.
He hoped wishes worked this way, because honestly he didn’t know, but he focused on all the falling meteors he saw and asked for one more wish:
I wish for us to be best friends forever.
Could I request the reactions of Shoto, Bakugo, and Izuku finding out that their S/O is the child of a Villain?
Hi dear! Iliked a lot this ask, but it wasn’t simple. In the end, I believe they’d bevery understanding, especially Todoroki and Midoriya (You’re not your parents),so I hope you like them!
Have a nice day!
Bakugou,Midoriya, Todoroki x Villain’s Daughter Reader (Slight Angst, Comfort, Swearingfor Kacchan)
BakugouKatsuki
“What the fuck?” Bakugou shouted and you jostled,taking a step back as his hands sparkled and the smell of nitroglycerin invadedthe small bedroom. “Shit!” he growled again, angrily.
You shut your mouth with wide eyes, thinking about somethingto say to calm him down. To make everything alright again. You should have saidit before, you should have found another way instead of blurting it after yourboyfriend had to fight him. You should have done better. But you couldn’t turnback time.
“Why the hell haven’t you told me before?” he askedglaring daggers. Bakugou clenched his fists trying to avoid blowing upsomething again, but he felt like combusting inside.
You shook your head, stepping back.
“…I was afraid…” you whispered, staring at the floor.You didn’t want to see that the usual, hidden softness in Bakugou’s eyes hadvanished, nor that he was disgusted. Or betrayed. You two had fought andstruggled so hard to get together, to become better people together.
What if it had all been in vain?
Bakugou frowned deeper as he understood your words: hewasn’t stupid and he knew you. He knew what you were afraid of and that annoyedhim even more.
“Oi, look at me!” He marched towards you, who ended uptrapped with the back to the wall, “I said, look at me.” He repeated slamminghis hands at the sides of your head.
You slowly lifted the chin and met his ruby eyes.
Bakugou was angry. Mad angry. His jaw was tense andhis eyes were narrowed as always when he was trying to kill someone with hisglare; you could hear the crackling from his palms.
But he hadn’t given up, nor he was sickened.
“…I’m sorry,” you instinctively murmured, trembling.You were fighting hard to bite back your tears, but you were losing that battle.
“Shut up,” he scowled, “This is so fucking stupid.”
“I’m-“
“I don’t give a shit!” he roared and you shrunkagainst the wall, “Do you approve what your dad does?”
You shook your head, lips sealed.
“Do you care if I throw him in jail for the rest ofhis life?” Bakugou asked again, analyzing every single movement and expressionof yours. To read the truth.
Your eyes saddened, but you shook your head again.
Bakugou took a big breath and relaxed his shoulders,nodding slightly.
“Then, I don’t give a shit that he’s your father,” herepeated in a lower voice, visibly calming down, “You’re with me, that’s theimportant thing. The rest is bullshit.” He leaned ‘till he rested his foreheadagainst yours, his breath caressing your lips.
You finally felt the fear and the anxiety being washedaway by a wave of relief and showed him a small smile.
“…thank you.”
He rolled his eyes and scoffed, but for a second youcould swear you had seen a grin on his lips.
“I’m still mad because you haven’t told it to mebefore,” he reminded you in a low growl, but you giggled.
“Yeah, sorry,” you hummed, too happy that the tragedyhad been avoided. “Could you let me go now?”
Bakugou smirked and tilted his head. “Not yet,” he repliedbefore leaning closer and kissing you fiercely.
Midoriya Izuko
You finished your confession with a sob, looking downat your cup of tea, now cold.
“…I’m sorry if I haven’t told you before, I was reallyscared you were going to hate me,” you explained, wiping away the tears. Thetension was tearing you apart as you waited for an answer.
“Uhm SO,” Midoriya was smiling awkwardly, scratchingnervously the back of his head, “If I have to be honest…well, I already knewit?”
You perked up immediately, staring at him shocked.
“What?” It was impossible.
“Y-you know that I like to study and analyze otherheroes, noting down everything about them…I did it with you too?” Midoriyaexplained tentatively. A faint blush colored his cheeks and he seemed scared ofyour reaction.
“I discovered who she was before we…started dating? Oreven before we became friends. I don’t really remember …”
That was absurd. He was to one who should have beenmad at you for lying, deceiving him and not trusting him enough to tell him thetruth about your mother. One of the evilest villain around.
“Then why did you stay with me?” you asked incredulous,shaking your head in disbelief, “Do you trust me? Aren’t you mad?”
The questions flowed one after another and Midoriyablinked at you, finally relaxing a bit.
“At first I was a bit cautious, I admit it, but Iobserved and befriended you: there’s no way in the world you could be evil. You’rea hero,” He answered smiling softly at you.
That smile hit hard, making you tearing up again.
“You’re crazy…” you mumbled covering your eyes andMidoriya chuckled.
“I-I just fell for you…” he explained as if it was thesimplest thing in the universe.
You beamed at him and let the pain and the fear ofrejection fade away.
“Thank you,” you said fondly making him blush evenmore.
“So you aren’t mad that I stalked you?” he playfullyasked, playing with the green hair.
“It depends on what you had found…” you faked tothreat, standing up to reach him and plop down to his side.
“Well, then maybe we should talk about it anothertime,” he replied sheepishly and that made you both giggling.
TodorokiShouto
Todoroki was laying on the infirmary’s bed, somebandages covering minor wounds and blood smearing his face, but actuallynothing too serious had happened. Except for him discovering your dad was adamn villain.
“…I’m sorry,” you whispered looking down, “It’s myfault,” you added clenching your hands around the white bedsheets. And it wasfor real. If you had said about your father to Todoroki before, he wouldn’thave discovered it by the enemy himself, wouldn’t have been so shocked about itand consequently hit by that last attack. Luckily, other pro-heroes were thereand managed to solve everything peacefully.
Still. It was your fault. What was worst is that he’dalso discovered that you’d lied to him for all that time and that your fatherwas a bad guy.
Todoroki sighed heavily, but his eyes were moreconfused than angry, even if the twitch of his lips betrayed his annoyance.
“Why haven’t you told me before?” he asked, grabbingyour hand and pulling it gently to force you to meet his eyes.
Again, his voice was the usual cold and didn’t let anythingshine through.
“Because I didn’t want to disappoint you. I’m thechild of a villain, Shouto. You’re an incredible hero,” you whispered in reply,tired and broken.
He scoffed, giving you a dirty look.
“Did you really think I would judge you about who yourfather is?” He seemed more troubled by this than everything else, “Do youremember who’s mine?”
You frowned.
“An asshole,” you replied instinctively and that madehim smirk, “But a hero. Not a villain,” you added trying to free your hand, buthe tightened his grip. He grimaced doing that and you stopped movingimmediately with a worried look.
“He hurt you!” you grieved, guiltiness eating you fromthe inside.
“Weren’t you the one who’ve helped me freeing myselffrom my father’s influence? Who’ve taught me how to love my fire? Who’ve said Iwasn’t my father?” He calmly reminded you. You grimaced but shook your headstubbornly, even if you recognized the truth in your own words.
“It’s different-”
“It’s the same,” he argued, “Now, or you have lied tome about this or you aren’t your father too.”
You pursed your lips in a tight line.
“What if I am?”
“I wouldn’t love you,” He replied without batting aneyelash. Your face flushed.
You stayed silent again.
“What if…I’m going to become like him?” you murmuredscared, searching in his eyes a certainty. The last one. The only one youneeded.
“Then I’ll fight to bring you back with me,” hereplied with a small, soft smile, “Because I know you’re better than that.”
That finally broke your walls and you let the tearsstream freely down your cheeks. You threw yourself at him and buried the facein his chest.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…” you repeated in a blur. Todorokisighed again between fondness and exasperation as he stroked your hair gently.
“There’s no need,” he huffed, “ But, please, tell meeverything from now on,”
“Mmh.”
“And I’m not hurt,”
“You’re bleeding and it’s my fa- I’m sorry, I’mhurting you? Let me mov-“ you tried to move away from his hold, but he kept youthere.
“Stay here,” he frowned, looking away to hide thelight blush of his cheeks. That sight finally made you smile and you noddedamused, resting again.
“As you want,”
“Thanks.”
Prompts used: #296. “Wait, do you two know each other?” #32. Do you like me? Check yes or no. #308. “Well this is awkward.”
A/N: 3,000 years later, I decided to just post it after letting it sink in my drafts. This was an old one, and I wasn’t sure if I could rewrite or not, but somehow I grew to appreciate this story so I decided to just post it instead. After that last angst, I decided to post something fluffy instead. So. Have some fluff. Go check the link, or read it here. Reblog and support!
It was History class and the teacher announced that they should group in sets of three to report on a certain event of a certain timeline that Izuku barely paid any attention to. These instances were rare but he’s not counting. The students surrounding him listlessly went out of their seats to start looking for a stranger or a friend to tag along with and he did the same, unintentionally shoving his way around the room, just barely tripping over the students who decided to form a circle on the floor. He was just about to leave the room when a hand clapped on his shoulder. he turned his head behind and saw his friend.
“Deku-kun!” She flashed a grin, releasing her grip on his shoulder.
“Ashido-san!” He greeted back with much cheer, idly glancing at the strips of pink overlaying her brown hair.
“Wanna join our group?” She jabbed a thumb behind her.
“Sure!” They both shared a smile before making their way to the corner, where their third groupmate was waiting.
“Hey Todoroki-kun!” Something tingled in his spine as Ashido hollered to catch their friend. Todoroki looked up from his notebook and lifted a hand for a wave. Heat pooled Izuku’s cheeks and he shakily brought a hand to wave back. Todoroki positioned himself to the side and shoved his things to make space for the other two. It was Ashido who plopped down in front of Todoroki that Izuku didn’t have a choice but take to seat right beside Todoroki.
Izuku sneaked a glance at his seatmate, scrutinizing the bizarre hair color, one part in a deep shade of red and the other in the purest of white. It was a stark contrast to his floofy green one. The natural bicolor matched his heterochromatic eyes, which shifted its attention towards him in question.
For the second time this afternoon, his cheeks powdered in deep pink and Izuku quickly shifted his gaze down at his notes. He hasn’t grown out of this weird embarrassment around his friend and Izuku supposes this will be a frequent occurrence of his daily routine between him and Todoroki. (Un)Fortunately, Ashido is the sole witness (aside from Todoroki) to Izuku’s odd behavior. The glint in her onyx irises puts him at a discomfort, so he averts his eyes and restrains himself from prompting his weirdness to the spotlight.
“So do you two already know each other?” Todoroki asked, setting his pen down to look at the both of them. His (beautiful) eyes settled on Izuku’s.
Chortles were heard from Ashido as she affirmed with, “We sure do! We were classmates in our science section last year.” He kept his eyes away from hers but he could feel her stare and her mischievous vibe.
“So how about you two?” Izuku swore he caught her winking at him, “Seem pretty cozy there..” At the sentence, Izuku pushed a milimeter away from his original position that probably only Ashido took note of.
“We’re classmates in literature this year.” Izuku supplied, ignoring the paranoia in his head caused by those beautiful eyes and that wily smirk growing on Ashido’s lips.
“But anyways, let’s work on this report!” The greenet diverted the topic and the odd atmosphere dissipated into a serious one filled with sharing notes and writing outlines.
{__}
It’s night time and he’s in his room of the school’s dorm, pacing around and muttering to himself. His bag and its contents were spilled on the floor, where a tiny paper was visible among his academic notes.
At the center, it read: “Do you like me” with two boxes below. One box for a “yes” and the other for a “no”. All words were written in precise and succinct cursive.
He stopped his pacing and sauntered over to his pile. Izuku picked up the little paper and shuffled onto his bed, glaring lazers at the note with his verdant eyes. He found the little thing in between the pages where he recently wrote his history report pointers.
Initially, he figured it would’ve been Ashido, as he caught her winking at him earlier, but immediately dismissed the idea when she teased him for his little crush on Todoroki. Izuku adds in his mental notes that her romantic bells are alarmed on someone else. That only left another valid culprit among their history report group.
Todoroki Shouto.
Todoroki Shouto. The classmate with the bicolored hair and heterochromatic eyes that emphasized his enigmatic aura and encouraged rumors behind his back.
Todoroki Shouto. He was once a boy chained by his father’s over-driven expectations and his mother’s fear that now strives for his own path toiled by his own hands.
Todoroki. A classmate Izuku befriended during and after hours of lab work and physics tutorials.
Todoroki-kun. Who often sits beside him as he sets his chin on his palm and listens to Izuku’s one-to-many hypotheses about anything and everything and responds in kind with equal fervor.
Shouto-kun. His wonderful and beautiful friend that his thoughts ramble about every spare minute of the day.
Shouto. The apple of his eye.
He takes a day to think it over. Nothing significantly happens, only a few a commotions in another class that ushered the students out of the classroom. Shouto’s sneaky glances are more apparent than before and Izuku ponders over the times he never took notice. By the end of the day, Kirishima throws a sporting grin and a clap on the back as a way of good luck for something Izuku never asked for.
Another day passes and their history report is a success. Izuku is bemused at Ashido’s not-so-subtle winks and Shouto’s gazes of concern and apprehension. Ashido probably has an inkling of what has occurred between them and is barely keeping her lips sealed.
Two days later, Izuku is already fed up by the lingering stares he recieved during class. Not that he was constantly paying heed to them, but there was something suspicious with Uraraka’s giggling and Kacchan’s lack of glaring and cussing towards him to Iida’s motivational speeches and Yaoyorozu’s knowing gleam in her eyes. This doesn’t leave him nonplussed but confirms his suspicions that the whole class has been discreetly passing gossip pertaining to him and Shouto, whether about a fight or a love fest or some other believable rumor they conjured up to be truths.
He hasn’t conversed with Shouto lately and when they do, someone else is present with them like a buffer, during lunch, class, or even at their dorms. Shouto seemed indifferent to it all, but sometimes Izuku finds traces of nervousness and disappointment. This led him to somehow believe that maybe, just maybe, it was really Shouto who wrote that little piece and it was really meant for him. Midoriya Izuku.
It was wishful thinking on his part, yet the evidence leads back to Shouto. Who else was sitting beside Izuku during their history report brainstorming session and has perfect penmanship?
Pausing his ebb of thoughts, Izuku bent down and rummage through his pile. He randomly took a pen and ticked on the box and carefully placed it back in his history notes.
Tomorrow he’ll confront Todo-… Shouto-kun.
{__}
It was just the end of their last class and Izuku was apprehensively waiting by the door for Shouto-kun. It only took a mere three minutes before the silent fellow walked out of the classroom.
“Hey Shouto-kun!” Izuku yearns to take a chance with him, even for just this once. He calms his heartbeat as he watches Shouto's eyes widen at the use of his first name.
"Wanna grab something to eat?" He askef, watching his friend's eyebrows raise another centimeter and his face laxing. As if to snap himself out of his reverie, Shouto's eyes blinked and his faceial expression shifted to a neutral one.
"Sure..."
The two hurried off before the awkward atmosphere begins to simmer between them. They fell into a comfortable conversation, not or less a one sided one.
They buy a rice meal for take out and set a picnic mat by the garden outside their forms at six in the evening. They rarely eat out here, even with the two of them alone. More often than not, their lunch and dinner breaks were spent among the company of their classmates and friends that Izuku thought it odd to spend time with just Shouto alone.
Izuku gobbles his food as he chatters and Shouto takes his time to consume his meal, wordlessly watching Izuku with a bona fide smile, as though every word he spouts carries an importance. By now, Izuku learns there is an extra tint of adoration in those specs of mud brown and emerald irises, something to be only displayed in a face of an angel.
God, just looking at him makes his heart sing poetry.
Izuku continues his discussion with that sentence hanging from his consciousness.
He has yet to find a way to confess, but all his mouth is blathering about is scientific facts and history trivia that has no relation to his fluttery feelings whatsoever. By the time their food was consumed, Izuku takes a leap to grab his wrist, drawing his attention towards him.
Shouto must be thinking that his day is full of surprises.That thought was immediately shoved to the back of his mind, prepping himself for a stupid conversation. Like always, Shouto catches on immediately, concern flashing on his face.
“Shouto,” he begins, and the next string of words come in stutters and fidgets, momentarily forgetting his own mother tongue. Before his friend could interject, Izuku took a piece of paper and shoved it in his face, squeezing his eyes shut.
“Did you put this in my notebook?” The words blurted out of his mouth the second he tried to zip his lips. There was no response but the buzzing of the insects and the summer air. Izuku slowly opened his eyes to a shocked and tomato-faced Shouto-kun.
The boy in front of him stutters once, and twice. Shouto crumples his fingers into fists before he faces him again to only pucker his lips once more when not a single sound was uttered.
It’s such a wonder to watch a stoic-looking boy to bumble and blush in embarrassment and it takes every muscle and fiber not to guffaw at this blithering mess. Instead, Izuku lets out a tiny wheeze, followed by forced coughs in a weak attempt to conceal his amusement. This only catches Shouto’s attention and he openly stares back, gaze curious and somewhat child-like. The rosey color on his cheeks barely faded, and Izuku is now hyperaware of the chunk of rice sticking on the corner of Shouto’s moist lips.
What a work of art.
“Well, this is awkward” He began, hoping to dissolve the torrid air between them, but the sentence was left unfinished when a mumble was uttered from Shouto’s lips.
“What did you say?” he prompted and this time the serious glint was on Shouto’s face once more.
“Would you have written on it if it was really me?” he asked, enunciating each and every syllable in that vulnerable soft-spoken voice, “I.. need to know..”
By then, Izuku knew what to do. Cautiously, he takes Shouto’s hands in his.
“Of course I do.” He gently voiced his reply as he strokes the stiff phalanges with his thumbs.
“I would never joke about this.” He lifts their hands and Shouto’s eyes follow their clasped form in awe.
“I like you.” Izuku continues, “And I would like to take you out sometime, if that’s alright.”
A moment passes and Shouto’s lips twitch once, twice, and slowly it blooms into a timid smile. Izuku breathed out a giggle and he releases a hand to cup a cheek, his whole world gleaming back at him.
There is much to discuss, but at this moment, Izuku muses at the pulchritudinous wonder of one Todoroki Shouto, there’s still time to be idle in this picnic surrounded by the luxurious gardens.
