So sweet hahah. My 6 year old for some reason thinks that dancing together means you're married, so he keeps dancing with our dog and being like "we're married!" Which is such an odd marriage test considering me and his dad don't dance around the house because it makes the dogs bark and jump on us, my older dog HATES dancing.

I always found aging generations not understanding newer generations kinda trite. "oh you're a millennial. isn't skiddiby toilet weird?" yeah, it is, but this has nothing to do with age. I feel like so many people these days lack a sense of humor. And I can understand why. But still life is HARD we gotta be able to laugh and maybe make somebody else laugh once in a while. There are different types of humor. Most of today’s comedy rockstars point out everyday life situations and put a cynical spin on them. That’s ok but it’s usually rooted in negativity. Today there is a lack of what I call Simple or Corny humor. The kind of jokes you can tell anyone without being offended or rude. Kid jokes. Old people jokes. Clean jokes. Im trying to instill a sense of humor in my son because it is building valuable communication skill. We all need to break the ice or bring a group together sometime. Maybe we don’t have anything in common with someone but a corny joke is just goofy and sometimes that breaks off a person’s mood for just a second. Humor is a great form of relaxation. Laughter is good medicine and all. Plus by teaching the basics of learning a joke you develop theses communication skills: memory. Getting it right-accuracy. waiting for the punchline-patience. Gauging your audience-awareness. And so on. - At the very least. One day when my kid is down or depressed or stressed, he can still look around the world and find the humor in things. Or maybe even make someone else smile.
