There's something so incredibly wholesome about Ace encouraging someone to live for themselves because he's been (or is still, depending on how you look at it) in their position before.

Ace might not think that he's loved, too entrenched in his father's legacy and what other people have told him when he was younger, but even when he believes that blood relation isn't something that can be chosen, what's important is that you become something great beyond blood or titles, that the path that you go on is what you choose for yourself.

Yamato saying that Ace taught him the meaning of life might as well be literal. It's the exact thing he needed to hear from someone who knows what it's like to live a life shadowed by their father's presence.

My second entry for the summer contest, the prompt wrote itself for me, it was the perfect opportunity to make a follow up to my summer entry from two years ago. Don't worry about Swordsy, he's waterproofed and will only suffer psychological damage. Can't say the same for Pirate though..

Y'know i definitely understand why some artist could feel uncomfortable with the possiblity of this happening but i do think the idea of people having headcanons for my ocs pretty interesting

Like, the moment you post something online you lose some of your control over it, one of the reasons why that happens is because you cannot control how people interpret your creation, no matter how obvious you make certain things people are going to have their own thoughts and experiences that influence how they view your characters and artwork, this is merely a fact of existence, and i think other people's headcanons can really be a insight into that

Like what was the thought process behind these headcanons ? Did they come up with it for fun or did they dig deeper than what's under the surface ? Could they open my eyes to something i've never considered ? Or would i disagree with them ? Have i made a good enough job of displaying this character to the public that people are able to see the vision and understand what i'm going for with their additional ideas ? Or have i failed in some aspect ?

What are they seeing that i'm not ?

One of things I love about photography is its therapeutic aspect. Everywhere I go, I find something that grounds me to the present. To gently bring my mind at ease. Flowers of any kind are my favorites to photograph. Or anything nature related.
