Hi, I’m a new larrie and I believe them to be dating now and back then too, but the only things that are throwing me off are when they (mostly Harry lol) “confirm” stuff like that.

Like when Harry got asked who his first crush was and he answered Louis and when someone asked if they are dating and he says yes. Now, why that’s throwing me off is because they were/are supposed to keep it a secret, so help me out. Do you think he did that as rebellion or do you think he wanted to tell the truth, so he did, but was hoping it came across as a joke?

I personally lean towards the latter, but I’d like to hear someone else’s opinion to help me form my thoughts better. x

Hi, love. Those two moments happened so early on. When H was asked who his first crush was, he very much looked like he thought for a moment, then smiled when he said it, and was very serious when she asked how Louis felt about him. I don’t think he meant it as a joke and I don’t think he was rebelling. That moment and the Mario Kart moment were both interviewed SugarScape and both are still all over the internet, so there seems to have been some moments where the insinuation (or confirmation) of the two of them being together between 2011 and 2012 were allowed/tolerated/encouraged.

The video when he confirms that they’re dating was interesting because he looks almost exhausted and somewhat hesitant to answer the question, but still does. And when the girl says, “I told you/I thought so!” he just outright beams, as if he was expecting her to freak out or be upset, but then is so happy when she’s supportive.

There was definitely something odd going on around the time because it’s around the same time of that Much Music interview where the woman asks about Larry (starts at 16:00) and tells them about how girls like reading fic about two guys they fancy being together and you can tell how hard it is for Harry and Louis to wrap their heads around the idea. To me, it very much seems like they’d been explicitly told that, as Louis says, if someone is a Harry fan, for example, they’re not going to like the idea of Louis and Harry together. And then the journalist is like, oh that’s not true at all! You can see their little heads explode.

My basic feeling is that it’s possible the label has an inkling that Louis was gay from day one and was okay with it. But they hadn’t expected Harry to not be straight, as well. And they hadn’t expected the two to fall for each other. But there seemed to be some leniency in the early days. The closet came down hard when there was a serious push to break into the US charts—H*ylor started, Louis was “loved up” with Eleanor, and Harry and Louis barely interacted. As fans dug their heels in, the closet got worse and the narrative shifted to the homophobic “fans ruined their friendship” nonsense. That then evolved into Harry vs OT3 (ie: Harry is too good for the band) and so on.

if louis keeps on doing these weak-ass denials, the only way i’ll ever believe that larry isn’t real is if he and harry sits down and explains every piece of proof there is.

Soooo, Louis was looking at one fan's profile (casual) to see what came up, but oh no... he found a couple of 'Larry stuff'.

And he, totally shaken, even if it's been YEARS since he admits the existence of the "Larry Organization" and that he hasn't been associated —outside the fandom— with Harry in an 'un-professional' way for f*** thousands years, and not to mention that we know that he gives absolutely 0 fucks about whatever the fans think because "they can believe what they wanna believe"

HE DECIDE TO CORRECT the fan's beliefs, in the same way as the only direct denials we've ever had, written. Because in person it's a completely different story, with a lot of "genuinely; seriously; obviously".. right?

And then, pay attention to this, TALK ABOUT THE CLARKS' BABY. Dude, what?

He's like:

Putting the baby into the narrative, was such a predictable move, god, did we see it coming from the first interaction he had with that baby outside the tour bus (do y'all remember it?)

When he came out to wish the little lad happy birthday and -as usual it seems- out of nowhere he says

"oh you don't know **raises his voice so that the circle of fans can hear him** I ALSO HAVE A BABY WITH YOUR AGE, CRAZY HUH? A SON"

A predictable move, but so ridiculous that it takes away all the veracity of the narrative.

Why would he involve "his child" in that? Why the baby and not his BELOVED *GIRLFRIEND*??

Why wouldn't he mention his irrefutable proof of heterosexual love? Why not a single word to poor El? Why not say the name of the owner of all the romantic songs he wrote in his career?

Why avoid mentioning their long-term-relationship OF 10 ¡!TEN!¡ FUCKING YEARS???

That tweet to me reminded me of when Louis got mad "a big company got behind" Larry when there was that scene in Euphoria. It really does seem like the conspiracy pisses him off but I remember him loving the theory in like 2011ish. I think it was around mid 2012 where he started saying the theory pissed him off but it does seem genuine so it's like this bizarre 180° and I can't sit here and think it's him being forced anymore considering how unnecessarily angry he sounds. I mean sure, let's walk through a hypothetical scenario where he was being forced: maybe they told him "hey, find a tweet and deny larry, make it sound really angry and genuine". But it's like, if he was being forced like that then he wouldn't add unnecessary words like "childish". Idk. Maybe he's scared of sony and they demand he does it and threatens him with legal action. I wish he would at least find a way to communicate with us and tell us what's going on but maybe he's too scared to.

Well, he kind of needs to sound angry and aggravated for his tweets to have an impact and be picked up by the press. That's the goal here. It's another larry denial, but this time also packed in with 'tickets to my tour on sale now!'.

I don't even think it was Louis tweeting neccessarily. I'm just glad they picked a fan that could handle the heat this time. It doesn’t seem to have had any impact on larries beyond us being hurt. No one is unlarrying, but some are unstanning him. I understand them well.

I don't think they're threatening him, i think it's bargaining and trade offs. All this makes him sound childish, homophobic and rude towards his fans. He's only like that on twitter though. You should ask yourself why he's being brave behind a computer screen but can't do a larry denial on camera convincingly, or say something to fans when he meets them face to face. We know why.

He's communicating with us the best he can, in small ways. But most of us doesn’t need the reassurance anymore. When they wanted to communicate the big things to us they made rbb and sbb. There is so much they're not allowed to say. I know it's frustrating to us, but it's frustrating for them too.

For everyone getting their panties in a twist over the recent denial, I only have 4 simple things to say.

1. Every time he gets a chance, he says a huge load of bullshit. All he has to say is, “Despite what people think, Harry and I are not in a relationship and never have been.” It’s a simple straight denial. How hard is that? But no. It’s always him going on a tangent over a fucking “chicken Parmesan” which is not even related to the “ship” and him going on a tangent about “iPhone conspiracies” and “google”.

2. If a rumor doesn’t go away after 14 damn years, maybe it’s time antis and locals start thinking that it might not be a rumor.

3. If there is nothing to hide, they wouldn’t hide their “friendship” over stupid rumors cause they’re both 30 year old men who could ignore public. But still, despite numerous mentions of them both saying they’ve been in touch. We only ever see Louis interacting with Liam and Niall and Zayn ffs but not Harry. And we see Harry interacting with Niall. We see Liam interacting with Harry but we never ever see interactions between Harry and Louis. Why?

4. Lastly, if we are claiming an artist to be closeted, you can’t be so dumb to take an “off-the-topic-denial” to be a proof of them being straight.

But yeah, sure! Go on! Twist your damn panties until you tear them apart. You won’t notice one of us give a fuck cause you mistook us for someone naive and easily manipulated.

hello! Why are so many people today saying babygate is real all of a sudden? Did something happen? What happened?

Hi, darling. I’m going to go ahead and make this post with all the info, I’m sure it will be useful for future reference. So thank you for your question 😊

So, earlier this year Louis started to interact with this girl (Tanika) on twitter, she sent him *hundreds* of videos of her 4/5 year old son (Bentley) singing Louis’ songs. The videos are absolutely adorable, the kid is very sweet and clearly adores Louis. The interaction resulted in Louis inviting them to one of his shows (they’re from Australia) and also a facetime call so Louis could talk to Bentley.

She posted several videos of the call - although it was supposed to be a private conversation between them - Louis talking and having fun with Bentley in the videos.

Not long after it, she started to answer questions on TikTok like these:

And she did posted a video of Louis calling Freddie (off camera) and then him asking her to stop recording.

So let’s just stop here for a second to appreciate what happened. Tanika seemed to be a larrie(ish). She posts hundreds of pictures and videos of her kid online to get noticed by Louis, and when she gets a chance to talk to him privately, she also posts a bunch of videos of that. Including Louis talking with “his son” (that conveniently doesn’t appear on the video) just to shut larries up since everyone was saying it was bullshit. Just to prove a point. On the screenshots, she says she immediately “unlarried” after talking to him.

That was months ago. Last week, Louis was finally in Australia and they met, Tanika shared a bunch of pictures of her and Bentley and everything.

And yesterday, these rumours started to spread:

Tanika said that this is a lie and I couldn’t care less about the beef with this other person. But there’s a lot of back and forth and a lot of people being put in hot waters and trying to save their own asses for talking about something they “shouldn’t”.

But there is this one screenshot of what Louis allegedly DMed her, and that’s what made her “unlarrie”.

Tanika (so far) doesn’t seem able to confirm or deny (she confirmed to everyone who asked her privately) whether this message is real, although she seems very interested in knowing where the screenshot came from. Confirming that would put her in a very uncomfortable position, since she would be leaking a “private conversation” about something personal that Louis “confided” her (just like the videos).

The situation is absurd. People seem to believe that out of all the things in the world *the* Louis Tomlinson would confide her and only to her - someone who gained his trust and honest friendship - such a thing because “he doesn’t think people really know how he feels about Larry”. Because, of course, he doesn’t seem able to express that publicly, since he doesn’t stop engaging and encouraging everything Larry related, basically admitting he is in fact larrybaiting.

Personally I’m very inclined to think the screenshot is real, although obviously a huge ass lie. He did call Freddie off camera after all, so IMO this is just one more time being used to push babygate and once again put fans against each other, because they knew she would spread everything about it. This is as old as time, like “the prank call” where people happened to be conveniently recording and all the other times because larry is a load of bullshit. I think he’s very lucky he didn’t come across larries that have been to hell and back when trying to push that shit down our throats, he would have a lot of explaining to do.

I still remember the longing and thirsty looks across the stage, the grazing of the hands, the brushing of the thighs, the craving for that contact that makes you feel like you exist, like you actually make sense, despite the image of you people have in their heads.

I cannot unsee all of that, it is not much the use of colours, the shirts they wear or the lyrics change. It is what I recognise gave me life when I was closeted and couldn’t be open in my love with my partner who was there, next to me, within easy reach.

I can also see this denial as out of place, at an odd moment, looking very much planned but honestly creating more issues for him compared to the ones they thought it may have resolved. There is a reason why H avoids these types of questions and why he just keeps concentrating on his career and ignoring the rest.

If it is just part of the job, why giving it so much thought- I have got many ideas about it, but maybe this is not the time and the place to spell them out.

Someone told me that they probably broke up and he is tired to hear stories about them. I could argue with that, coz if I had ended it with my partner I wouldn’t want to keep bringing our relationship up.

Also as a denial it was very much similar to others he has done in the past and it comes quite late - let’s be honest, as he mentioned, anything he says won’t make much of a difference at this stage. It may piss some veteran larries off and some members the community, but there will be new ones taking their place, some of them possibly more focussed on the theories because less disillusioned than a Larrie who has been a fan for a while.

They are definitely at a different stage in their relationship, they are more mature, more disingenuous and possibly more at ease with their sexuality. As a result they possibly need us less, we could be seen as a hindrance- but in my head and in my heart it doesn’t cancel the reason why I got here in the first place.

I know that they still needs support in their closet and I may be not vocal in theorising if they are still together or if they will come out - and at the end of the day it is their life and they don’t owe us anything- but I will keep enjoying their music, supporting them as artists and be here for them as members of my community, independently from their relationships.

I am truly not perfect though, so if I hide in the corner to lick my wounds and look for the strength to go again, I am sure it is perfectly normal. And I would like to see some kindness on the sm - different people may deal with situations like this in different ways, so let’s not judge or shame someone just because they didn’t react as you would have.

Don’t tell them how they should feel, what they should do, because what is right and works for you doesn’t mean that is right and would work equally effectively for someone else.

He's made quite a few denials and larry lashouts over the years. This has already made headlines in Latam where he wants the attention and that was the goal. Louis: What's tough is I've realised - I realised this some years ago - there is nothing I can say, nothing I can do to dispel that conspiracy. They are so intertwined with what they believe to be the truth now they won't actually see the truth for what it is.

I'd be lying if I - it does irritate me a little bit but it's just the nature of the job, I suppose. There are times when it gets a little bit far too personal within that whole space.

I've got my son Freddie; he's the most important person in my life. Occasionally, you know it kind of broaches some stuff that is kind of really unfair. It kind of just is this thing that exists now.
