i understand the suspicion when a super wealthy and famous person gets acquitted of something. but all it takes is a little look at the law's treatment of michael jackson to tell that they WANTED him. and in the case of csa, money can only get you so far if you're guilty. michael jackson did not go to prison or get convicted of anything because he did not do anything criminal. fuck.
#IM JUST FRUSTRATED#swift and sudden fall from grace + throwin me in a class with a bad name#his legacy should be spotless. HE WAS SUCH A GOOD PERSON.#and not in the usual celebrity way. he had so much integrity and deep care for people. ALL people.#like. it just breaks my heart to see people casually go 'he was a pedophile' and throw him away like trash#god he doesn't deserve that#csa mention

One of my ultimate favorite narilamb dynamics are the toxic yaoi ones because that's where you can get the best opportunities to portray defining information about the characters' respective personalities and how their lived experiences navigate them in interacting with the world and others. I'm a huge fan of ship content that doesn't just focus on just the interactions between two people, just as a unit, but indirectly explores the characters as seperate entities from each other.
With Lamb and Nyanrinder , you can go buckshit wild with the two. Authoritarian, narcissistic guy that socially occupied the position of a god forces a heavily traumatized genocide victim to be part of godly intervention plans by basically hading them the most powerful artifact that skyrockets you into godhood , and now is forced to live the reversed dynamic. These could be the worst possible people to put together .Whatever is wrong with them needs to bleed into their actual relationship too. Whatever they have with each other is weird af and unhealthy . You can easily imagine it as a constant tag of war between two of the most power-lustful , morally reprehensible people in the world , but will not seperate because that means actually taking the first step to real , potential inner healing . But healing also means having to entirely give up their need to assert power over others and fundamentally changing as people. And neither one of them wants to do that.
#cult.spam#walter white self cest yaoi#i could go on and on about toxic narilamb#whether fully platonic romantic or qpr#i need these two to fight over everything#them fighting about morality philosophical issues would so hard they'd be on each other throats ASAP#anyway i really like the idea of them having a mutually parasitic relationship#narinder could technically walk away but he doesn't cause thats the only other immortal and walking away means giving entirely on his legacy#as a red crown bearer#but if hes a leech on lamb he can still feel like hes trying to protect the integrity of the crown#he knows hes cant have the crown but hates the idea of its power and influence being exerted in non honiring way

Frank James, the man arrested for Tuesday's New York City subway shooting, is a black nationalist and outspoken racist who railed against whites, Jews, and Hispanics. A careful reader of the New York Times could be forgiven for overlooking that. In a nearly 2,000-word article on the attack, James's race is not mentioned. The same is true for the coverage offered up by Reuters; the Washington Post only mentioned James's race in relation to his condemnation of training programs for "low-income Black youths."
Media critics on the right say that the conspicuous omission of James's race from these news reports illustrates a trend among prestige papers, which deemphasize or omit the race of non-white criminals while playing up the race of white offenders. But is it a real pattern?
Yes. A Washington Free Beacon review of hundreds of articles published by major papers over a span of two years finds that papers downplay the race of non-white offenders, mentioning their race much later in articles than they do for white offenders. These papers are also three to four times more likely to mention an offender's race at all if he is white, a disparity that grew in the wake of George Floyd's death in 2020 and the protests that followed.
The Free Beacon collected data on nearly 1,100 articles about homicides from six major papers, all written between 2019 and 2021. Those papers included the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, San Francisco Chronicle, and Minneapolis's Star-Tribune—representatives of each paper did not return requests for comment for this article. For each article, we collected the offender's and victim's name and race, and noted where in the article the offender's race was mentioned, if at all.
The data suggest an alarming editorial trend in which major papers routinely omit information from news reports, presenting readers with a skewed picture of who does and doesn't commit crime. These editorial choices are part and parcel with the "racial reckoning" that swept newsrooms in the wake of Floyd's murder, which saw journalists dramatically overhauling crime coverage to emphasize the view that the criminal justice system is racist at the root—perhaps at the expense of honesty about individual offenders' crimes.
The chart above indicates that papers are far quicker to mention the race of white murderers than black. (Those two races account for 92 percent of mentions in the data, so others are not shown.) Half of articles about a white offender mention his race within the first 15 percent of the article. In articles about black offenders, by contrast, mentions come overwhelmingly toward the end of the piece. Half of the articles that mention a black offender's race do not do so until at least 60 percent of the way through, and more than 20 percent save it until the last fifth of the article.
Of course, journalists choose not only where in a piece to mention an offender's race, but also whether to mention it at all, and omissions can skew a reader's perspective.
To measure these choices, we identified the race of the offender in roughly 900 stories where his name, but not his race, was mentioned, first by looking at the race of people with the same name in Census data, and then hand-confirming race based on mug shots or other images published in local news stories.
Doing so permits an estimate of how often journalists highlight an offender's race—or don't. Again, the skew is startling: White offenders' race was mentioned in roughly 1 out of every 4 articles, compared with 1 in 17 articles about a black offender and 1 in 33 articles about a Hispanic offender.
This effect is driven in part by a handful of major news stories involving white perpetrators, though the attention paid to these stories is also an editorial choice. But even after omitting reports about white offenders Kyle Rittenhouse, Derek Chauvin, and the killers of Ahmaud Arbery, the race of white offenders is mentioned in 16 percent of cases, two to three times the rate at which the race of black offenders is mentioned. (Middle Eastern offenders were labeled as Asian in this analysis, but labeling them as white results in only a small change to the race mention rate.)
This disparity widened following George Floyd's murder. Before May of 2020, papers were roughly twice as likely to mention the race of a white (13 percent of stories) versus a black perpetrator (7 percent). After May of 2020, the numbers were 28 percent and 4 percent, a ratio of seven to one. Even omitting the above-mentioned stories, papers still mentioned race in 23 percent of stories about white killers post-Floyd, a six-to-one ratio.
It could be that there were more stories in which a white offender's race was relevant after Floyd's death than before. But it is also easy to see how the increased attention to white murderers represents a change in what reporters and editors thought it was, and was not, important for their readers to hear about, particularly after they publicly committed to revamping their crime reporting following Floyd's death.
Newspapers across the country—including the Inquirer—stopped publishing mugshot galleries in part because, two Florida newspapers wrote, they "may have reinforced negative stereotypes." Others committed to overhauling their language, substituting phrases like "formerly incarcerated person" for "felon" to respond to what the Poynter Institute described as an "inextricabl[e]" link between reporting on crime and "race and racism." And the Associated Press amended its style guide to discourage the use of the word "riot," which allegedly has racist connotations.
At the same time, major newsrooms have prioritized "racial justice" coverage, part of a push for what the journalist-cum-activist Wesley Lowery called "moral clarity" over "objectivity": writing news reports that take the sides on contested issues with the goal of advancing a political objective.
Such "moral clarity" may mean downplaying black crime and emphasizing white crime. In the case of offenders like James, it means leaving readers in the dark about an important element of the story—journalistic malfeasance that is, of course, in service of the greater good.

What Do You Want Your Legacy To Be?
I was contemplating legacy the other day and I thought: What Do You Want Your Life To Mean?It led me to thinking about our children and roles as parents and mentors. Our children were raised on two continents and in both hemispheres. Both young adults, they are real to the core, living with integrity through and through and each a leader. I could not be more proud of and grateful for each of…

(Lana's POV)
With christmas fast approaching, I've taken it upon myself to start decorating for the season. Parker and I decorated the tree together and it was such a great activity for us to bond as we start the celebrations of our first christmas as a married couple. We're planning to be with my parents for christmas, we'll head out to Oasis Springs immediately after Celeste's wedding for the holiday season with my family.
Our church recently had a women's bible study hosted by Casandra and a lady from a neighbouring church. Though it's been a year since Parker and I got engaged, and almost a year since we got married, Lori and I still celebrate how blessed we are that we married in to the same family and get to grow in the Lord and in life together. Recently she shared that she and Charles have been praying for another little blessing, so I've added that to my prayer list.
I love these girls, it's been amazing getting to know Parker's extended family and having them become true friends. Ruby Rae is going to nursing school and is really enjoying it, she's mentioned wanting to be a labour & delivery nurse and help mamas bring their blessings into the world. Kyra is a teacher and has a hand in shaping young impressionable lives, she and her husband are enjoying married life, it's great that she's still able to attend her home church even after being married. Celeste is counting down how many sunday's she's got before she gets married and moved away, her bachelorette party is next weekend and a lot of the girls are going. I'm not able to attend because of scheduling conflicts, but I'm happy to help her with wedding planning so her last weeks at home are peaceful.
Parker's family is full of such Godly men and women, during the ladies conference we got such great biblical gems to help us in our journey as women, wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. Casandra spoke from the perspective of a pastor's wife on the need to balance life at home with shepherding a congregation, Elaine spoke on how to fully take advantage of homeschooling children to give them the best education possible, and Claire covered how to introduce music into the home in a way the glorifies the Lord.

oh yeah saw blue beetle last night and one million thumbs up. going into having heard it’s very tokusatsu and comic booky made it one million times better. goofy and stupid in fun ways. i’m so glad we’ve looped back around to comic book movies being like comic books: confusing chronologically and catered to fans willing to put up with wildly specific nonsense. also heck of a great job making a movie about gentrification and colonization out of the chaos of blue beetle lore and corporate blandification i genuinely had fun
#like it’s not the BEST done story about gentrification and colonization. but it’s a very interesting attempt at doing one in the dc universe#also ADORED how they did ted’s old tech i love love love that it was chronologically accurate and cheesy in the best way#of COURSE his tech is outdated he was a superhero TWENTY-THIRTY YEARS AGO!!#when mcu stuff went back in time they just retconned it to be cool futuristic sci-fi stuff too. i ADORE the idea that a) there WERE#superheroes in the last and b) time still passes! them being there shaped the world and influences the superheroes we have now!!#and SO glad to see DC finally capitalizing on their legacy heroes <- the one thing that stands them out from marvel#yeah this was a mediocre movie to the average fan. i think comic book movies should be. fuck blockbuster everyone movies#cbms should be wildly specific and about characters no one’s ever heard of to tell fun stories with them#also love the minimal level of integration with the rest of the dc movie verse#jaime went to gotham university and there was that one name drop of bruce wayne in an ad but SO happy no obnoxious cameos.#this is just another corner of the universe! it’s a coherent WORLD but that doesn’t mean the same individuals need to show up everywhere.#loved it. i know it’s not a great movie but i had so much fun from the moment i saw the intro talking about actual lore#it was 100x improved by what i already knew about jaime reyes and i know that’s a bad thing for non-aware viewers but fuck it. stop catering#to the audience that refuses to read comic books or put up with their tropes. cater to the people who are already here and love it#thank youuuuuuuuuuuu <3 also give people from the cultures superheroes represent more money to tell those superheroes stories . it’s great

A Note About Project M 3.6 Content Integrity & Legacy TE
[originally posted on 5/9/2018, posting here for posterity]
Last night we tweeted a tease for the next version of Legacy TE, something we've been very excited about for a very long time. We're happy to finally break the silence!
Before we reveal anything about it, however, we'd like to visit a topic of recent interest. Specifically around modifying tournament legal stages in Project M 3.6 builds.
Our stance has never changed from Legacy TE's conception: characters and stages from 3.6 are the only acceptable versions of Project M content for tournament use. TE was made with this ethos in mind, and has never wavered, despite numerous attempts by the community to use unfinished leaked Project M content or community-modified deviations. We'll continue to make sure the integrity of Project M 3.6's content is intact.
In some discussions on the Project M subreddit and other places, there has been some confusion over what types of changes you can make to the game, and what kinds of changes should be considered acceptable. To help clarify this issue, we'd like to supply a few key definitions that will help distinguish between the many different kinds of "modifications" one can possibly make to Project M:
Aesthetic changes: visual or audio changes that don't affect gameplay, but can sometimes adjust players' perceptions and at worst be deceptive or distracting. This is a gray area, as some players use particular audio or visual cues when playing that can potentially be disrupted.
Net-new inclusions: additions to the game that simply give more of the same in a careful way, as to never replace key tournament content or result in any kind of gameplay change. i.e. Kirby's 9th and 10th costume options, alt stages
Quality of Life feature additions: net-new additions to the game that enhance non-gameplay changing features. ie. working replays, edit controls from the CSS.
Crash fixes: file edits that don't necessarily change aesthetics, nor in-game behavior, but simply correct potential game crashes. Examples are memory leak fixes, or Kart ROB’s Clear Mode edit.
Hardware-viability balance change: Changes to the game that only directly affect hardware-related aspects of the game to make the experience more consistent across every type of hardware i.e. UCF
Gameplay-changing modifications: any edit that would result in gameplay changes, including but limited to: character moveset changes, some PSA adjustments, some animation tweaks, stage collision changes, blast zone changes, etc
It's our belief that of the 6 possible types of changes above, only definitions 1-5 are worth considering. Changes as defined by definition #6 are never permissible, and have no place in a PM 3.6 build.
Why, you might ask? What's wrong with "balancing" a stage's blast zone or "improving" a collision? Well the first question to ask is, who truly has the authority to make that call? The Project M Development Team have been disbanded since December of 2015, so there is no true authority to be making these changes. In light of this reality, no matter how "good" the change might be, no gameplay-changing modifications should be made.
Let's ignore that for a second, and assume a group comes together and assumes the role of "authority" of the game's development and get away with it. Let's also assume the group came to a consensus where all parties were satisfied over what changes to implement. A push improperly executed will leave the community split, frustrated, and confused. There's a branding issue there, too. What "version" are each of these edited stages? They can't be called 3.6 stages. They can't be called 3.61 stages either. So there really is no good title for them. Good luck explaining this all to new players or less involved community members.
Not to mention this opens the floodgates to variety of other possible changes that can be argued to be made, including character balance changes, or additional characters on the roster.
This only scratches the surface of potentially problematic outcomes that could result from such a change.
The "gameplay update" debate has been a contentious topic since the PMDT disbanded in 2015. There's been a desire to correct mistakes left in 3.6, and not for no reason: it's not a perfect game. But what Smash game is perfect? Is disrupting a healthy meta 3 years in the making really worth a few little tweaks?
Since this is a longer post, we'll give you a TL;DR summary: Legacy TE is committed to being faithful to Project M 3.6 as always. This means we will reject any non-3.6 variations of PM content and will not include them in any build.

KMH Integration Looks Ahead: Embracing New Tech, Talent, and the Future of Systems Integration
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/kmh-integration-looks-ahead-embracing-new-tech-talent-and-the-future-of-systems-integration/
KMH Integration Looks Ahead: Embracing New Tech, Talent, and the Future of Systems Integration
As media and broadcast workflows evolve, so too must the companies supporting them. KMH Integration, now celebrating 20 years in business, is preparing for the next era of AV systems design with a clear focus on new technology adoption and talent development.
President Kevin Henneman says the path forward lies in adapting to IP- and cloud-based systems while growing a workforce ready for that shift.
“Technology doesn’t stand still. We’ve made ongoing training a top priority so our team understands how emerging software-driven solutions complement or replace legacy systems.”
KMH is already supporting clients through hybrid workflows that blend traditional baseband setups with IP video, cloud-based production tools, and software-defined infrastructure. This approach ensures scalability, long-term ROI, and future-ready design for stadiums, studios, and enterprise clients alike.
Growing Talent to Match Changing Technology One of the biggest challenges the industry faces, according to Henneman, is building the next generation of technical professionals.
“We’ve partnered with local universities and found smart, passionate people who just needed exposure to the systems integration world. Some of our top team members came from those programs, and now they’re mentoring the next wave.”
KMH’s approach fosters a culture where every team member learns across disciplines — from cabling and installation to systems design and client consulting — creating a dynamic and well-rounded workforce.
Planning Projects for Maximum Flexibility As the pace of technology change accelerates, KMH is also rethinking project timelines and purchasing strategies.
“We encourage clients to reverse-engineer the project timeline,” Henneman says. “You don’t want to buy gear too early and miss the next big upgrade. With good communication, we can plan for the right moment.”
Whether designing modern control rooms or integrating broadcast-grade infrastructure in corporate or education environments, KMH remains committed to providing flexible, scalable, and intelligent systems tailored to each customer’s goals.
