(finally) here’s the updated version of accessible ways to protest for palestine ! hopefully this will be more legible :) mentioned links and more accessible ways to support palestine in my linktree in my bio ! if you have any other suggestions about accessible action for palestine, please comment them below i’ve also amended a few outdated elements of the post. go to the original post’s comments for some really valuable extra insights on the topic ! note to say that nothing in this list will be accessible to all, it is merely a list of suggestions for more accessible action. the topic is incredibly nuanced and that can be hard to get across through the limited means of an infographic.

slide 1: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘the revolution will be from bed’. in the middle of the image is a dark green outlined image of a double bed. in the bottom of the image is dark green smaller text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 2: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘accessible ways to protest’. below the text, is smaller text in dark green that reads ‘for many, in-person protests are inaccessible. luckily, there are other ways to get involved. these include:’ the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ‘1. share posts on social media
educate yourself (and others)
donate
contact your political representatives
join organisations
sign petitions
boycott companies’ in the bottom of the image is dark green smaller text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 3: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘amplify palestinian voices on social media’. the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ‘ - while social media activism is often critiqued as being performative, for many it is the only form of action that is accessible
social media can be an important tool for amplifying marginalised voices who otherwise would be ignored by mainstream media
people in gaza are urging the west to raise awareness of the emergency by amplifying palestinian voices on social media
sharing your solidarity with palestine on social media is also an effective way of combating mainstream media's bias towards israel’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 4: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘educate yourself and others’. the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ‘education is a crucial part of activism that can be done from home
you can learn about palestine from books, articles, podcasts, films and much, much more
sites like decolonisepalestine.com, palestinesolisarity.org and bdsmovement.net are good places to start
social medica can be a good source of on-the-ground information from accounts like @eye.on.palestine
share these resources on social media and in person, have uncomfortable conversations
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 5: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘donate’. the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ‘- donating is often the best way to help global emergencies from home
however, many people in gaza have urged the rest of the world to stop donating money to gaza, as israel is blocking them from receiving any relief
instead, donations can be spent on supporting organisations outside of gaza, who are fighting for a ceasefire and an end to the occupation
money can support marches, direct action, legal funds etc.
this is a good option for crips who can afford it and are unable to participate in the action themselves’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 6: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads ‘email politicians, sign petitions, join orgs’. the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ‘- if you are in the UK or US (+ many other countries) your govt is complicit in the genocide of palestine
protest this by emailing your representatives and signing petitions
in the UK, parliament will only recognise petitions from petitions.parliament.uk
accessible forms of protest are not solely individual, many organisations also offer accessible / remote roles
in the UK, orgs to get involved with include: @palestinesolidarityuk, @palaction, @naaom and @londonpalestineaction
in the US, orgs include: palestineyouthmovement, @jewishvoicesforpeace, @adalahjusticeproject @ifnotnoworg’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’
slide 7: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads 'boycott, divesment, sanctions’ the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ' - boycotting companies complicit in israeli apartheid is another accessible way to protest
@bdsnationalcommittee is an organisation that has worked long-term on ending international support for israel
their consumer boycott targets are currently: axa, puma, carrefour, siemens, ahava, HP, sabra and sodastream
people separate to BDS are also encouraging the boycott of mcdonald's, disney and starbucks
go to @bdsnational committee for more info' at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads 'a guide to protesting for disabled activists'
slide 8: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads 'advice for crips attending a march’ the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads '- going to a march can pose serious risks to crips and it is important to consider these before attending
where they can, organisers should make efforts to ensure marches are accessible (eg an accessible route, info about accessible loos + covid caution)
plan your route (for london crips a document is made every week with info about the march's accessibility)
bring a buddy who knows your access needs
know your rights; go to greenandblackcross.org for bustcards
mask up, to protect your fellow crip and avoid surveillance’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’.
slide 9: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads 'a crip’s guide to packing for a protest’ the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ’ - a radar key to unlock accessible loos
medication (bring han expedie you're out for longer
energy sustaining drinks and snacks
earplugs / defenders for noise sensitivity
pain relief devices
check the weather - bring suncream / umbrellas and dress accordingly
a fully charged phone with a battery pack
a sunflower lanyard / pritned out medical information -a mask (ideally N95)
a bustcard for legal advice in case of arrest’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’.
slide 10: an infographic with green imagery on a white background. dark green text at the top of the image reads 'crip solidarity with palestine’ the focus of the image is a dark green rectangle with white text inside it. the text reads ’- disability justice is palestinian justice, crip liberation is palestinian liberation
all of our struggles - against ableism, against colonialism, against fascism - are connected
in 2022, at least 48,360 disabled people lived in the gaza strip, a sector of society among the most affected by Israel's attacks
israel's 17-year siege on gaza has curbed access to vital healthcare for gaza's disabled population
when israel cuts off power in gaza, this has a greater impact on disabled folk who rely on electricity for aids and mobility
disability justice cannot exist under settler colonialism
solidarity from the streets, from the home, from the sickbed, from the phone’
at the bottom of the image is dark green text that reads ‘a guide to protesting for disabled activists’.

ellipsus: an honest review
(this is pretty much directly copied from an insta post i just made. if you're seeing this before monday 4/21, when this goes live on insta... cool! you got in early. also, check my instagram out)
what is ellipsus?
ellipsus is a writing platform designed for collaboration, but it can definitely be used alone. i, personally, only write solo, so this review mostly focuses on the solo writing experience (with a few mentions of collaborative features).
features
there are sort of 4 main parts to ellipsus when it comes to writing: folders, documents, the main writing doc, and drafts. you can make folders to house multiple documents, and you can even put folders into folders, which allows for a TON of organization.
inside each document, you have the main document and the drafts. the way it’s meant to be used is as follows: you do all your writing in the main doc, and then you can make drafts that copy everything in the main doc. any changes you make in the drafts doesn’t change the main doc.
Tumblr media
that, however, is not how i use documents. i like to make a document about one topic - for example, character development and worldbuilding - and then make drafts that relate to that topic (i.e., a draft for each character bio). this allows for even MORE organization beyond folders, microfolders, and documents.
Tumblr media
ellipsus also has templates like word and google docs, but i don’t have much to say as i haven’t tried any of the templates out. as of right now the templates don’t have previews (outside of the ellipsus blog), just names, which has made me hesitant to look into them any further because... you know... i don’t really know what I’m getting into. this is just something to note.
pros
LOTS of organization via folders within folders, documents, and drafts
built-in collaboration tools (such as version history, a chat box for collaborators, and commenting on drafts)
lots of formatting tools (such as headings, a divider, quote/code, indents, and more)
the platform is constantly being improved & updated
if you’re a font nerd like me: new fonts are added fairly often, and the selection is pretty good right now! it has a good variety of different font types.
IT'S FREE!!
cons
you can’t switch between fonts in one draft/the main doc - only one font for the entire thing (diff headings can have different fonts)
can be glitchy sometimes (though i’ve never lost work!)
you can move documents between folders, but you can’t move drafts between documents. (this might not seem like a big deal to some, but i accidentally made a draft in the wrong doc once and wasn’t able to move it, which sort of threw off my organization :/)
ellipsus is only on web, which is great on computers but makes it difficult & not fun to use on mobile
should you use it instead of word and google docs?
i’ve been using ellipsus for around 2 months now, and i’d say it’s a great alternative... but it doesn’t have everything. in some regards, i’m still finding it difficult to completely transfer over from google docs, which I’ve been using for years. one thing i love is ellipsus' stance completely against ai, and its commitment to staying that way. i still mostly use google docs on my phone, since ellipsus is hard to use on mobile.
final thoughts & comments
i think ellipsus is a great tool, and that everybody should try it out! maybe you won’t transfer over to it completely right away (or ever), but it’s still something to look into. is it perfect? no, but it’s improving all the time.

How to Measure Marketing Impact on a Tight Budget
Tumblr media
Got a small budget but need to prove your marketing works? Here’s the simple, no-BS way to track what’s actually bringing results:
1. Pick Your Goals
What do you want? More sales? Followers? Website visits? Pick 1-2 key goals and ignore the rest for now.
2. Use Free Tools
Google Analytics: See who visits your site and why.
Social Media Insights: Check which posts get love (likes, shares, saves).
UTM Links: Tag your links (e.g., in bio, ads) to see what’s driving clicks.
3. Track What Matters
Traffic: Are people coming from Instagram, Google, or emails?
Conversions: Are they buying/signing up? (Even just counting DMs counts!)
Engagement: Which posts get the most replies or shares?
4. Double Down on What Works
Found a meme format that gets shares? A hashtag that brings followers? Do MORE of that. Stop wasting time on stuff that flops.
5. Keep It Simple
Could you post a reel? See if it got more followers than usual

Plum Enthusiast Community: Introduction
Hi, my name is Rozie Ramati. I am from Los Angeles, CA (born and raised.) I am a musician and an artist. I graduated UCLA summa cum laude with my bachelor's degree in American Literature in 2021.
There is so much I wish to see change in the world.
For art, I want people to take music seriously as a craft. I want people with an understanding of music across many boards- historians, instrumentalists, professors, journalists. —to be valued and prioritized for their professional opinions on the music landscape, especially for award shows like the Grammys.
I want streaming to pay. Laws need to be enforced on Spotify to give artists a living wage of 1 cent per stream instead of the current 0.038 cents per stream. My first headlining show in Los Angeles was in October 2024. It was for the United Musicians & Allied Workers labor union: https://weareumaw.org. UMAW is a dedicated and reliable source if you are interested in fighting for the rights of musicians. They have petitions linked in their Instagram bio.
For the political climate in America, I want the oligarchy that is forming to stop. I want the genocide of Palestinians to stop. I want there to be laws in place that prevent billionaires from buying social media apps in order to have power over our voices, jobs, mental health, and politics. I want the promotion of Hitler's ideologies and propaganda on social media to result in serious consequences. Elon Musk should never have been able to do a Nazi salute for all of us to see; there is no excuse for it. He did it twice. In Australia, when his Nazi salute was aired on their news stations, they blurred out his violent message to show their resistance. We can learn from them. I studied the Holocaust in depth at UCLA; I took classes and seminars such as: "Holocaust in Film," "Exile Artists," and so on. It gave me the depth and context I needed. That is why I know, with absolute certainty, what is happening in America. History is attempting to repeat itself. The only exception is that this isn't Nazi Germany; it is Trump's America in 2025.
The one thing the Trump administration and their crew of billionaires do not want us to know is that we outnumber them. Please read that again; we outnumber them.
Nazi Germany rooted so much fear & prejudice in their society that they were able to recruit the majority. The Trump administration does not currently have the majority. Trump admitted this himself when he said Elon rigged the election for him: "he (Elon Musk) knows those computers better than anybody… those vote counting computers… and we ended up winning Pennsylvania in a landslide." video link
I want the Constitution back on the White House website. I want us to abide by the Constitution of the United States. I want convicted felons and rapists to do time, regardless of their wealth or status.
I want us to return to our humanness, to value education and educated individuals, and to make a better world for our children and for ourselves.
Liberation should feel liberating. That is why I created the Plum Enthusiast community. I want to contribute to helping others understand the power they hold inside and how they can use it to achieve their dreams.
Our minds are the most important thing in the pursuit of our dreams and a better future. We must protect our minds, enrich them with tools that serve us and our community, and encourage others to do the same.
I will leave you with this: As much as Billionaires want to control Americans into thinking we have no agency and no way to take back our rights, we all know they are wrong. We outnumber them. As much as the Trump administration wants us to think Nazis have power in 2025, they are wrong. We outnumber them. The fact that we outnumber them is exactly what has driven them toward their extreme measures to maintain power and control. When they can no longer make money off of us, they will not have any choice but to change.
We have not stepped into the wrong timeline; we've stepped into an important one. When America comes together, it has historically been so beautiful to see. We've fought for our civil rights, women's rights, gay rights, and environmental rights with inspirational strength, compassion, and beauty before. That beauty is what is to come in our path toward liberation, uniting against this great evil. I am so grateful to be here and to do it with you.

hmmmm... reading about the inevitable doom of tumblr from some tech big names on here, it makes me kinda, I don't know, tired? sad? bummed out?
I should back things up while I still can. Problem is... the only two things I care about on this site are: 1. the DM chats with my friends are NOT support by third-party backup tools and the tumblr backup is overwhelmed right now with so many requests and so few staffs on hand; 2. the comments and tags under my drawings, none of those backup tools can save that, only save manually, it seems.
Of course I'll be here until this site finally dies on me, but I also want to continue drawing for SxF fandom. The alternative choices aren't as appealing tbh.
I should dust off my bluesky account, but I don't like the short-form of posting, too much hassle for my multipage comics 😑
I have my pixiv account for that, but I don't feel like posting random shitpost jokes on there.
discord is more like a private club, good for some things but not so much for others, and scrolling through the chat logs is a pain 🙄
No way will I ever posting anything on my twitter account, or make an instagram/facebook/tiktok account 😫 I hate those places.
I'll just put the links to my other accounts on to my bio so you can know where to find me in the worst case scenario 🤷
Maybe after a good night sleep I may think of something better.

Building a following:
Tumblr media
are you fr kienn?
… 500 total across several platforms
but it's over the span of 2 months, and on new accounts, and your mileage may vary
very niche dependent (am a queer horror writer)
some platforms are more queer friendly than others
Tumblr media
more under the cut
Here I will share some tips breaking down my experience with social media marketing for my writing.
Across all platforms:
have a consistent posting schedule!
more posts = more exposure
but consistency is most important.
i do 3 posts a week
interact with the community!
the most response i get is from networking
most writers are also readers!
following people and following back
engaging with posts (comments and reposts are more impactful than likes, connecting with the content)
community benefits:
peers with similar interests
observe what other successful accounts are doing
tips, trends, support groups
Between platforms:
the quality of interaction varies
the type of content varies (text vs images)
take time to learn
Video and image posts:
throwing your content out into the wild
instagram:
stats:
3k views/month
5-20 interactions a post
linked to threads, most of the time my threads followers channel to my instagram
schedule posts!
video content: the shorter the better, have a strong hook in the first seconds
image content: carousels with lots of slides
hashtags don't matter as much, though they help you show up through search
audio is a tool, choose wisely
share stuff on stories so it's seen, and promote fellow authors in the community
comments help alot, ask friends to help with engagement!
tiktok:
stats:
100 views before dropping to 0
some queer hashtags are banned
can use same content as instagram
scheduling on desktop only…
i don't use it much
Text posts:
more community engagement!
replying and reposting
threads:
stats:
5-20 interactions a post
linked to instagram
relatable text posts do well
keywords matter more than tags, incorporate words like "book" "author" "writer" etc naturally
lots of threads call for replies with similar interests or promotion, a great opportunity to share yourself and find similar authors, community rallying posts
reply to and repost fellow authors!
bluesky:
stats:
5-10 interactions a post
feeds are customized timelines that use tags and keywords
use feeds to find your community
i have a queer writers feed on my account (to avoid filtering issues include "author" in your bio!)
make sure your posts are seen in feeds by incorporating keywords naturally, and include tags or the emoji-tags, #booksky and 📚💙, etc
having images to go with your text helps, and including alt text
find tags like #queerprompts or #wipsnips, where the community shares their work and wip snips!
follow feeds, reply to and repost fellow authors!
twitter:
stats:
~50 views a post
0-3 interactions a post
most follows are follow backs
the search function is terrible, as is the algorithm
lots of bot impersonators, block unsolicited DMs
throw your posts into the void, don't expect much interaction
image posts do best, as do trends. show you're not a bot? 😭
go through follow lists and tags to find community
tags like #agentsguide #amquerying help to find other writers
reply to and repost fellow authors
tumblr:
stats:
~ 1-10 interactions a post
blogging and text posts, most personal
use lots of tags
do tag games, trends, share wips
reply to and reblog fellow authors, leave comments in tags!!
SUMMARY
Find community
Interact, give and recieve
Reply and Repost
Follow and follow back
Use keywords
Use hooks, short attention spans
Thanks for reading!
This is from my personal experience. Your mileage may vary... Give it a try and see what works for you and your niche! and you can follow me @kiennwrites !

Hello! Any tips for starting your own ig blog?
Hi love! Some tips are below:
Consider whether you're crafting a personal brand, professional image, aesthetic, or e-commerce/product-focused account
Choose your handle name wisely. Always do your first name/last name or name of your business when applicable
Add relevant search terms to your headline/bio to make your page more easily discoverable to your intended audience. Hashtags can also be added to this section for discoverability
Select a bio image that best speaks to your personal/brand personality. Keep it polished but approachable like a well-executed mirror selfie, professional editorial photo, or your brand's logo
Craft a clear, compelling, and comprehensive bio that makes it simple to understand who you are/the purpose of your page while still showcasing your personal/brand personality. Include a CTA link (to your website, TikTok, Pinterest, press mention, etc.) or use a LinkTree link for more comprehensive accessibility
Decide on your blog purpose/themes covered, USP, key messages, content pillars, and brand voice/image guidelines (content/colors) before posting
Use the same/coordinating filters on all your photos, and try your best to have an aesthetically pleasing feed, so it looks very editorial and professional when people are debating whether to follow
Ensure your captions are engaging, and conversational. Follow a uniform brand voice/personality. However, you don't want your content to look overly edited and distant. Try to find the right balance between polished and relatable. Use the carousel feature liberally and relevant hashtags to optimize SEO value and discoverability
Utilize Instagram stories to provide an insider look at day-to-day happenings, share inspiration, engage in friendly/conversational dialogue with your audience, and promote engagement through polls, Q&As, etc.
Curate some highlights that best speak to your brand pillars/USP with uniform icon covers. Design them with a tool like Canva for a personal touch
Hope this helps xx
