really consider it. if you're gonna bother to yap in my notes, at least try to engage with this question in good faith. imagine opening up the news, and you see that a bomb was dropped on this city, and then the bombs never stop. imagine you had a friend there. imagine you'd had a trip planned to meet them and see the sights. imagine every museum, every historical monument, every theatre, every university destroyed. imagine that one day, you lived in a world where this city existed, and the next, it has completely ceased to be. it's effectively been pompeii-ed out of our world entirely. there is no longer a big ben, or a parthenon, or a colosseum, or what have you. there is no longer that foreign musician you loved from this city. there are no longer sweet old grannies to share old family recipes from this part of the world. there is no longer the online friend you wanted to visit. there is no longer your vacation plans.

Okay so apparently the entire fandom may or may not have collectively hallucinated moon and pebbles being siblings or having an actual sibling-like relationship and referring to/seeing each other as such ??? Because so far I have found nothing in any of the vanilla pearl dialogues or even moon and pebbles' own dialogues (they only refer to each other by name or as "friend") that clearly points towards that The "Big Sis Moon" title is her username in the local group, but not specifically in relation to pebbles- could just be that she sees herself as the "big sibling" / "parent" friend of the group ? And she does say "our parents" but she might be saying the "our" in general (our parents being the parents of all iterators and not just the parents of specifically her and pebbles) ? If anyone can find vanilla lore bits that point at them being stated as siblings do show- because im legit interested in knowing if it's actually there and I missed it or if we really just all sorta assumed this bit of headcanon is fully canon ?

Still amazed that Derap went live yesterday to work on the Titanic and the other lifestealers were suffering in pico park, then the mawn team went to build a base and just be very chill in general, then Derap found out about Subz plan in the middle of the night—while streaming on his alt account— and had to switch to his main account because WHAT THE FUCK WAS GOING ON And now Derap Bacon and Mapicc are dealing with 1.7K Wardens. And if Derap took just a little bit longer to notice the server might be cooked.

Like this really is like the Wemmbu orbital in the middle of the void arc, but in this case everyone was focused on Mapicc getting the mace and Mane getting an exploited mace, and the Wardens just kinda dropped out of nowhere

sorry i'm apparently not done with my thoughts! as someone making fanworks for a ship i really enjoy, it's irritating at best to continually see posts in the fandom and character tags that are like "why do people like meronia it's gross" or "meronia makes me so uncomfy" or "why is there SO much meronia now." you're within your rights to say any of that, of course, but i don't really see the point in it.

i can help you with that last question, at least: there's "so much meronia now" because we have a smallish group of very dedicated and passionate fanwriters and fanartists who are making fanworks for the ship and sharing them, not to mention a growing group of wonderful & kind enthusiasts who are participating in and encouraging the creation and appreciation of these fanworks. this is how fandom works.

a year and a half ago, we were lucky to have, like, two posts in the ship tag on tumblr per week. it hasn't always been this active; it became this active because people cared enough to make things and support each other's creations. if you're disappointed that you're not seeing more of your own ship, then i would encourage you to put yourself out there and either create fanworks for the ship you love or cheer on other fan creators.
