It’s probably how you two met. He was moving around the multiverse protecting aus when he noticed your aura.

It was incredibly anxious, but also determined to help others. He was intrigued (and a little worried for your own personal health)

Dream is a calming person to be around, his very power is to make people feel positive emotions so just being near him helps calm the anxiety

Not the energy tho, you’re just as energetic.

Another big appreciator of the height difference

He cant help it you just look so cute running around helping everyone

Axe isn’t completely blind tho and he does notice your anxiety. He uses some practised techniques he learned from crooks to calm you down

Axe will also drag you away when you’re obviously neglecting yourself or overdoing the help

pretty common for Axe to have you ‘help’ him. Realistically he doesn’t need help making toast but he likes being around you and having your attention

Mutt is a greedy greedy boy, smh he does not share well

He prefers your helpful attitude be kept to him and his brother.

Seriously, don’t let other Monsters know. He’s got enough ‘friends’ to know how backstabbing they can be

Here you can come hand out with him at his sentry stand. Go help look out for humans with him!

Mutt also has a lot of anxiety as well, he can relate to a lot of your worries. He supposes you just cope in different ways

Mutt will just pick you up and drag you away if he thinks you’re pushing yourself.

One good thing about that height difference is he can totally do that

Reggie was almost vibrating with glee as he entered the cafe, and found himself a seat in the lobby. He had been looking forward to coming here for weeks but his schedule hadn't allowed him a day off in forever, but now he was here and was struggling to restrain himself.

"Welcome to Woof It Down," the (very cute) hostess greeted him. "The dining room is open, as well as the play area. So should I bring you some lunch today or are you just here for the dogs?"

Reggie blushed, wondering how often people came here just to have dogs wandering around you while you ate. "I am kind of hungry, but doggos..."

The hostess giggled. "I know, it's a hard decision. We do have a section where you can snack and play, and all the food permitted there is pupper friendly."

"Well then I want to go to there," Reggie said, and she nodded before leading him into the cafe, and a table that had a sleepy little mutt snoozing next to it.

"That's Lola, she used to be a show dog, and yes I realize the irony, but I didn't name her," the hostess said, handing Reggie a menu. "All the dogs here are available to a good home, and I'll be right back to take your order."

Reggie thanked her, watching her honey blonde curls bounce away before turning to the feel of a cold nose snuffling his hand. "Hey gorgeous, it's very nice to meet you Lola."

Reggie paid so much attention to Lola, and then a very wiggly puppy named Charlie that he barely glanced at his menu, but the hostess assured him it happened all the time.

"I'm sure, but I still feel bad," Reggie said. "How about you bring me your favourite item and a large glass of lemonade, and I promise to leave a very big tip for being a terrible customer?"

"Trust me, I've had worse," she said. "But I'm not going to say no to the tip." With that she winked at him, hips swaying as she retreated again and Reggie forced his eyes to tear away, as Charlie ran off towards another table, and Lola began to snore beside him.

Reggie fawned over the various dogs that came and went from his table, grinning like a madman-this was truly the dream. He scarfed down the chicken sandwich he was given, gladly sharing a few scraps with whatever dog happened to be nearby-though not as much as he thought-it was a really good sandwich. Plus the lemonade was cool, refreshing and the right of tart and sweet.

He was debating dessert when the hostess came back for his dishes. "I have something you might like," she whispered, and brought forth a box. Inside was a tiny golden haired labradoodle, yawning and blinking open her eyes at him.

"Oh my goodness, look at you!" Reggie cooed, and glanced at the hostess who encouraged him to pick the puppy up. "So tiny!"

"She's technically not ready to leave her mama until next week," the hostess said. "But all her siblings have been spoken for, and she's not ready for the cafe floor yet. I wanted to make sure she went to a good home."

"How do you know I can give her one?" Reggie asked, cuddling the puppy into his chin.

The hostess gave a soft smile as she shrugged. "I can read people really well. So do you want a form?"

"Yes please," Reggie replied, refusing to relinquish the puppy from his hold. The hostess came back with his bill (which he paid, along with said promised tip) and the adoption form. "Oh, she doesn't have a name yet?"

"Nope. You get to pick one out."

"I don't think I can decide that until I get to know her a bit better," Reggie admitted.

"Well I have plenty of suggestions," the hostess replied, then slid a card across the table to him. "Start with this one and then let me know before I come back for the cutie pie here."

Reggie turned over the card, seeing a string of numbers, and a name-Carrie. He grinned and cuddled the yawning puppy closer. "You might just be a good luck charm baby girl."

The next week, Reggie went back to the cafe, but left soon after, with Lucky in a carrier, and Carrie on his arm.

Mixed Breeds comics 2005

Around this point, I become worried that I'm pouring too much of myself into "Mixed Breeds".

In "Tales of Ms. Lola, Pet Psychic", Ms. Lola the pet psychic comes to town and solves the animals' problems.

Trivia: The hardest "Mixed Breeds" characters to write for are the birds: the Drip family has their lisps, the mockingbirds talk in movie quotes, and the bats speak backward.

In "Supersize Muffin", Muffin puts on weight.

In "mUHFfin", Muffin watches TV and loses herself in channel surfing. In "The Appraiser", Muffin becomes a magical appraiser of objects.

Trivia: The writer of "Mixed Breeds" claims that the hardest "Mutts" to adapt are the ones that are so lame that they couldn't possibly be made funny.

Trivia: I still find a way, because I'm that creative.

In "Morning Stretch", the characters reveal how they start their mornings. In "Morty & Mattie Go to Alchemized Hills", the birds land in the wrong town on their way back from vacation.

“Can’t Hardly Wait” & “A Mutt Above” - Dual Episode Review

After the two ‘Halloween’ themed episodes, we get to the next set of paired episodes starting with “Can’t Hardly Wait” ..how did Lori’s job at Lynn’s Table Restaurant fare? Let’s take a look..

Was so cute seeing the flashback or Lori as a little girl asking about which shirt to pick..always love seeing younger versions of the Loud kids. Could understand Lynn Sr. being sad about Lori going away to college..always so sweet to see how much he cares about his kids. Got a good laugh at how excited they were about Lori getting a job at the restaurant..not to mention Lisa’s reaction. 

Was fun seeing Kataro training Lori even if his advice wasn’t the best for her. Felt bad at how much she was struggling to do it right and messing things up. Was great seeing Rita getting some lunch with Lisa and enjoyed Lisa’s attempt to help Lori which didn’t go over so well. Though it was funny watching her try to work the mechanical arms..hehe.

Was funny to watch her try and fail with each other job, mostly through no fault of her own..onions are hard to cut and Flip’s van was very difficult to drive. Also felt bad for her as well..we know she’s trying hard with each job..especially felt bad when she had issues washing the dishes (which I can relate to). 

Was so happy when Lynn Sr. discovered Lori’s natural talent for helping to organize things and hired her as the manager. So glad they still got to work together. 

Loved how Lori helped with everything at the end, including making the kids puzzle harder (for Lisa’s sake) and helping out Scoots by introducing her to the bikers. 

Really enjoyed this episode..was nice to see some bonding between Lori and Lynn Sr. and it was sweet how she got to work with him at the restaurant (which I’m also glad to see more of). All and all a funny and sweet episode.

Up next is “A Mutt Above” featuring Lana (in her first starring roll since “Scales Of Justice” ) and Charles..how did Lana’s attempt to get Charles to win a Dog Show fare? Let’s take a look..

So cute seeing Lana and Charles play together and get all dirty. Not happy to hear her classmate Lacey tease her and Charles for getting dirty but I loved Lana sticking up for herself and Charles. 

Was funny throughout hearing Lana try to correctly pronounce the name of Lacey’s dog (Victoire) throughout. 

Was funny and sweet watching Lana try and train Charles, especially when she tried the course herself only for him to get distracted by a butterfly. Got a good laugh at her trying to dress him only for him to resist. The funniest scene in this sequence though is the scene with Lincoln. Was cute and funny watching her respond to his commands and act like a dog. Got a bigger laugh when he fainted due to Charles passing gas then watching Lucy pull him away for another of her mock funerals. 

Loved seeing Lola helping out Lana by agreeing to train Charles herself (in exchange for Lana fixing her princess car). 

Was cute seeing Charles all dolled up by Lola then hear her talk back to Lacy. Also really loved the devious face each of the twins made afterwards. 

Really felt for Lana when she wanted to give Charles a hug but he refused..aww. 

Was fun seeing Charles act like a ‘proper’ show dog, especially the cute and funny scene of him pouring tea on command..hehe. 

Got another good laugh at Lana wondering if she should ‘wrestle’ Lacey to break the tie and determine a winner of the show.

Was so sad to see Charles not want to play or get all muddy with Lana. then see how sad she was that he wasn’t acting the way he usually does. Was so sweet when she hugged him and he sniffed out the ball and then wanted to play. Was happy when she decided to take him out of the competition (much to Lola’s dismay) because to her he’s already the best dog..aww. :)

Was so cute seeing them play together at the end just like before and not care what anyone thinks of it. :) Such a sweet ending. :)

This was a really fun and sweet episode. Was wonderful seeing Lana in a lead role again..was so sweet to see her interact with Charles and get help from Lincoln and especially Lola. The ending was really sweet as well. :)
