Anyway imagine: She's elegant very sophisticated, in her castle everything is spotless. She's tall, taller then any women you ever met and most guys. Her skin is like a pale marble without a drop of color beside bloody red lips. She always look perfect and elegant with her long silk like black hair.

You met her on accident, you were lost and it was starting to get dark. As sun wad setting you you heard her... Her voice was melodic, but also intimidating at the same time. Quickly you end up going to her house to spend the night inside.

"Outside at night would be dangerous for somone so fragile".

She introduce herself as Louisa before letting you inside. Her home was huge.. it was a whole ass castle not house! As you followed her inside you could see Staff that worked for her... She seems to only hire women.

At first you felt intimidate looking in her dark eyes, but soon without you even realising you could get lost in them. Her black eyes reminded you of obsidian yet were so calm... It felt as if you were high and instead of just hiding for the night in her house you spend whole night in her bed with her.

You didn't knew what got into you... Who would go to strangers bed? You barely know her but the moment she pinned you down and kissed you, made you forgot about everything.

She didn't expect you to do anything... She was completely fine with taking care of such a tempting pillow princess. She wasn't rough with you, but she wasn't trying to be gentle either. She kept kissing your neck, saying something about your tempting scent and blaming you for seducing her, as she turned you into a mess under her.

From Louisa perspective the second she saw you she barely could resist. Everything about you was calling to her begging to be owned. To belong to her. Despite being vampire she didn't enjoy drinking blood, as she found it tastes horrible most of the time... but yours? It smell heavenly and tastes even better. She could swear you were made for her.

Louisa doesn't really like leaving her home, but if it ment spending even a second with you she would go anywhere. She only ever hire women around her castle because the scent of blood was usually stronger from men and she hated that sent but out of her home she would be surrounded by people and there's scents... But she just try to focus on yours. Ofcors going out during the day is torture for her. Sun won't kill her but it weakens her severely, especially her mind control ability she dosen't want to tell you about.

She's not happy when you're spending time with others... She's worried thiere horible scent would stay on you and overshadow your devine smell. She wish she could just lock you up with her but she put this thought aside even if it's always in back of her head.

You could think she only want you because of your blood and you couldn't be more wrong. Everything about you captivate her. She wants you. She needs you. Even without your blood she wants to have you forever. She's planing to one day turn you in vampire to so you won't be able to escape from her not even through death... She wouldn't allow cold death to steal you from her.

You're her love and she's going to keep you. Forever.

What I Read in August 2023

Took ages to even find a decent copy of this book, but quite worth it. Some sad moments, but overall quite a good story and ending to the duology.

Finally hustled and finished re-reading this. Man, don't remember how depressed and traumatized Harry was in this book, poor kid.

Quite fun. ^_^ (and very relatable!)

Intrigues galore!

I was feeling down so I decided to read a couple children's books on my shelves. I do love the art in this.

So cute

Really enjoyed Bransen had to start becoming part of the world beyond himself, his wife and mother in law, kicking a screaming. Also the poweries were hilarious but I'd never want to meet one.

Not sure quite how I feel about this one, I have gotten volume two but the focus on ego and such is kinda annoying to be honest. ^_^'

Another children's book palette cleanser. Love the art.

Read this series online as a fan translation years ago, so am happy to be reading it now in physical properly translated format. It's adorable and heartbreaking (poor Yuzu goes through so much).

I laughed a lot reading this.

Further adventures in trauma land. I was glad with Eren's journey of "being normal" and "not special" and that being okay.

Very sweet really, and silly.

Nothing is funnier to me, in the whole series, than the scene where Kit and Louisa trap Diana, only to have her turn the tables on them. Because she has them surrounded by fire, with her firedrake screeching at them, and she says “let me tell you your futures… you have none,” right when Matthew, Gallowglass, and Hubbard show up, and Matthew is immediately like, “it’s ok, Diana, you can let them go, we’ll handle it now.”

And then as soon as she extinguishes the fire and Corra’s back in her, Matthew pulls out his sword to take a swing - “I fucking told you, Kit!” Like that exact second. He’s not waiting for any talking and he’s pretty sure Diana’s fine, but he needs these motherfuckers to understand how he feels about Diana immediately, and he’s willing to get stabby over it.

A relatively close second in terms of hilarity is the post-falcon hunting scene, in which: 1) Matthew Goode slowly progresses into a velociraptor impression to portray vampire rage, 2) Diana waves her hand to set shit on fire in front of Matthew with, “we’re not done talking,” and 3) Gallowglass’s casual notice of the fact that the door and wall are totally charred shortly afterwards, like, ok, guess that’s from Diana. No questions though, he just assumes whatever she set on fire deserved it.

I may have rewatched it too many times, because I love love the show, but I’ve reached a point where I find everything absurd, in a totally logical way. It all makes sense, but it’s enabled by the general idea that people make absolutely terrible decisions when they’re emotional. Just consistently bad decisions all around, for virtually everyone, congrats guys, you’re all having the human experience.

yk what this reminds me of? Fucking chapter 25

25 is the same chapter where Q was introduced. release of Q made dazai make the same reaction (but a little more calm) he did when he found out fyodor was alive. Q's doll can easily play the role of amenogozen, they were doing nothing but taunting others while atsushi kept struggling paralleling to fyodor yapping while atsushi is literally getting tortured atp.also in the same chapter akutagawa says the thing dazai did in 121.

yk what else is crazy? akutagawa also said that only when atsushi was fighting back his hallucinations, similarly to dazai.the other rest is js dazai advising atsushi similar to 121.5. but in the same chapter atsushi fights for himself against Q's ability but ends up getting the blame for hurting naomi and haruno, reminds me of how fyodor indirectly blames him for the ADA members' death.

other than that chp.26 also has Fitzgerald and Louisa in it, and koyo plays the role of a wise mentor (and this might be a weird or nonsensical comparison but she js reminds me of fyodor explaining all the dimensions to atsushi in 120)

the war between the guild, ADA and Pm lowkey correlates to fyodor saying "humanity will never choose peace" (smth similar I forgot)

oh and atsushi's goal here was to potentially save kyoka and lucy, which koyo asked him to do in 26 too (she js told him more abt kyoka so he could save her, also reminds me of dazai saying "kyoka and Montgomery are still alive" )

another funny thing is that atsushi sacrificing himself doesn't only parallel akutagawa but also lucy (lowkey) bc she stayed in her room (aka in another dimension) to let atsushi save her (the same way atsushi trusts akutagawa) and in the room where lucy and atsushi first met, lucy reminds of her past js like how dazai told atsushi to feel strongly so he can 'step into the past'

not to be back on my shit but fyodor hasn't used the one order yet, and I still don't think he can. fukuchi programmed it to respond to fukuzawa. if fukuzawa used it too immediately, everyone beneath his authority would lose their autonomy; the agency is a guerilla force, they encircle like in go, they don't rigidly advance like in chess.

fukuzawa's skill is such that he grants his litter independence through self possession of their skills. so it's against his nature to use the one order where his unruly kittens might be caught in its influence. it's also impractical: he canonically does not have a devious nature + he is their pillar so that they can wreak havoc. commanding them is liable to kill them.

but! ranpo says in chapter 92 that all they need to win is to stop fukuchi from receiving the one order.

this was a thousand years ago, and so much has happened, but ranpo doesn't condition their solution path. if they can just stop the enemy from receiving the one order, they win, hard stop. in game theory, a dominant strategy is a strategy that is better than any other strategy for one player, no matter how that player's opponent will play.

I mentioned that the agency plays go above. go is super technical, but essentially: the goal is to control more of the board than your opponent by surrounding vacant spaces with your stones. Connecting stones keeps them secure, so an important offensive tactic is to prevent the opponent from connecting their stones while at the same time keeping one's own stones connected. 

Fukuzawa secured the One Order, and thus the military. Bram had to "die" or otherwise be cut from his kin; he can't control the vampires if someone else has the seal/holy sword. He died, his kin were released, removing the vampires from Fyodor's disposal. Akutagawa and Bram seem to be tossing control over Akutagawa's body back and forth, based on their dialogue and Akutagawa's clear eyes when Bram "died." This is relevant because Bram can't be killed by ordinary means, and Akutagawa has an immensely powerful offensive skill. The armor, sword, and shield ensure that Bram has a weapon in hand when Akutagawa relinquishes his will and thus Rashomon, and Akutagawa, who is weaker and does best at mid range, isn't immediately cut down at such close range. Fyodor is wholly ignorant of any of this.

(In other words, it was Akutagawa who cut Fukuchi's hand before he could behead Atsushi since Rashomon struck.)

Since Bram released his kin, Mori likely just had the entire Port Mafia returned to him.

Aya's dad was at the airport, but we haven't seen him; she was there to bring him an item he'd forgotten. He's a cop with some form of leadership position based on Aya's mental image of him, so he is likely somewhere on the board coordinating relief.

Francis is watching, and he and Louisa are connected with a group that Francis seemed to deploy in his most recent scene. They have helicopters on scene, so they're monitoring the airspace.

Chuuya and Dazai are in France. They are in Europe. Ranpo called Europe the center of skill warfare and that if the UK, Germany, and France were to mobilize, they could reign in the global vampirism outbreak within six months. Chuuya and Dazai are the most equipped to coordinate Europe, even with only the two of them. Skills can't touch Dazai, and Dazai can nullify the ones aimed at Japan, and Chuuya can become a nuclear bomb black hole. (Also, Adam!) The deuteragonists can handle god, Fukuzawa can prevent Fyodor from absconding while the other groups close in.

Atsushi isn't passive, but he's scarcely raised a hand to defend himself or fight. He agitated Fyodor by pleading and clinging and despairing, thereby ensuring Fyodor would reject him. They are keeping Fyodor from leaving; Akutagawa did not come until others had gone, maintaining the illusion that they are the smaller, more exposed force.

It would be very funny if Poe booksnatched him; Meursault pt. 2, but without his skill, and while making him deliriously angry.

Maybe that's why Atsushi and Akutagawa were the only ones remaining in the S5 finale.
