Would Crocodile ever take Law in after Cora dies? Because just imagine Feral Law vs. Feral Ace on their first meeting. Luffy and Sabo just there taking bets or something in the background.
If he knew about Law then I can imagine he would grab him, yes. Whether Law wanted him to or not.
I don't think he does in the Mini-Mingo and Grumpy Verse because that follows canon pretty closely and Law and Cora should technically already have disappeared when Crocodile starts his fling with Doflamingo. (Though Crocodile can always save the day and get Cora out, though both Doffy and Law would most likely assume him to be dead.)
It's possible he got Law off the island and has been sort of taking care of him/ "sponsoring" him in secret just to make sure the kid would be fine? Because feral, stinky children count among Crocodile's weaknesses. But I don't think Law would know about ASL or ASL about Law. (Though Dragon would most likely know?)
In an AU where Croc had something with Cora, then I feel Cora would trust Crocodile enough - who does work for Sengoku too after all and who Sengoku at least somewhat trusts - to tell him what is happening? Maybe?

One Piece Academy chapter 40: Cora san part 2 (Quick translation)
source | part 1 | index
Sanji: Huh..? Aren't you...?
Luffy: Who?
Nami: Luffy! We've just seen this guy in a photo a while ago!
He's Corazon!!
Cora: Guh..!
*tap tap*
Nami: Ah, he's running!
*wham*
Nami: Ah, he fell ;;
Cora: Law, what's the meaning of this? How did this place get busted?!
Law: I'm in a state of shock myself... I swear I wasn't being tailed by anyone.
You guys, how did you...?
Robin: Underestimated our skill of gaining intel, haven't you?
Sanji: You did a good job hiding your tracks, but...
[flashback]
Luffy: Traffy... he's totally gone, huh.
Bart: Ah, Luffy senpai! It's been a while beh!
Luffy: Oh? Isn't that Romeo!
Do y'all know Traffy's place?
Bart: Naa I don't.. Gambia, do you?
Gambia: I dunno. Lemme ask my granma at home.
Gambia: Helloo, granma! Do you know where Trafalgar Law lives?.. Hmm, hmm... oh?
*pulls up a map*
Gambia: She says he lives here! Even gave us details on how to enter!
Bart: Granma really has all the wisdom beh~!
Luffy: COOL!! Thanks!!
Cora: THIS IS WAYY BEYOND THE REALM OF WISDOM THOUGH!!
Usopp: She also said, "if you're worried about the doorknob's prickly static shock, just touch the wall with your palm first."
Law: So she shared some real wisdom too? That damned Bartolomeo!
Zoro: A man believed to be missing is here, 'hiding' so nobody can find him - so it seems.
Corazon:...!
Since I got busted already, I guess there's no going back.
*cracks knuckles*
I'll make sure to make you feel at home.
Coby: Woah!
Law: DON'T START A RICEBALL PARTY!!
Luffy: What flavor is that one, Corao?
Cora: That's umeboshi! Law hates it.
Law: Cora san... ;
Cora: It's okay, Law..
Cora: After all, the only visitors we get in this home far from the town are Bepo and team. And that's just Law's pals.
Law: They're... not exactly pals...
Cora: That said, it's not like someone is expected to live here. The entrance is far down some secret underground passage. We buy our groceries from the neighboring Swallow city.
*clang*
Nami: Why all these secrecy?
Coby: Where are you going?
Cora: Follow me! I'll show you.
Luffy: Traffy's place seems fun!
Law: Make sure not to ravage it.
Cora: This is.. The Doflamingo countermeasure Headquarters.
Nami: The Doflamingo countermeasure Headquarters?
Luffy: That's a lot of Mingo!
Cora: You get the gist of a secret opposing faction, don't you?
In short, we call it "Vs Doff.." "Quarters.." well, something.
And not just Doflamingo, we collect information about the Family executives.. Even about the Onigashima middle school.
I investigate here everyday.. *tapping some keys*
And think of countermeasures.
<bzzzzz>
Coby: YOU JUST SHUT IT DOWN!
Cora: Crap, I blew it up again...
Nami: Cora chan, might you be a bit clumsy?
Cora: I have always been a clutz. It doesn't get better.
Vivi: We know that Doflamingo is a bad guy who needs to be stopped.. But do you, as his brother, have any specific reason for your action?
Cora: As his younger brother, my goal is...to prevent my older brother Doffy from falling into the dark world.
Brook: Dark..
Chopper:... World?
Cora: Do you know what they call Doffy in the town?
Coby : I'm pretty sure it's Joker, "The Town's Charisma"....
Cora: He's a regular hot topic among young admirers, my brother's got that talent in him. But..
He's being approached by the people from the dark world - meaning the Bad adults, as they observed those qualities.
To be honest, brother does have the predisposition and ideas for 'evil.' He's already a bad guy, you can't call him good even as a flattery.
Zoro: Will he remain as the Town's Charisma, or become a Charismatic Evil?
If it's the latter, that'd be way more serious that being just a bad, flawed person...

Sooo been away for a while, going to see if answering asks might help me out. At a treat: MAIN PAIRINGS MEET THEIR CHILD SELVES:
LAWLU
Law is very amused by the cuteness and determination of tiny!Luffy and has already assured him he's going to help him become Pirate King. Luffy promises tiny!Law they're going to kick Mingo's ass together. Tiny!Law is now in love.
SABOALA
Tiny!Koala is a bit of a mess due to her Tragic Backstory being more recent. Sabo has moved "murder some celestial dragons" up on his mental to do list. Koala finds tiny!Sabo adorable, which he likes since he thinks she's very pretty.
MARACE
Ace is so into how cute tiny!Marco is and keeps squishing his cheeks. Tiny!Ace kicks Marco in the shin and declares adults are stupid and he's never going to date one.
ZOSAN
Sanji likes hearing tiny!Zoro talk about how awesome Kunia was and how he's going to be the best swordsman ever over some rice balls. Zoro is trying to stop tiny!Sanji from trying to out-cook his older self...and failing.
NAMIVIVI
Vivi regales tiny!Nami of how big Nami escaped Arlong and went on to help save Alabasta. Nami may or may not have conned tiny!Vivi out of some jewelry as a life lesson.
FROBIN
Robin has tiny?Franky wrapped abound her little finger. Tiny!Robin just threw Franky overboard.

Listen as someone who has been obsessed with vampires like my entire life (but not in a ooh there sexy way its like the symbolism man of what vampires can mean) i am a huge fan of your op vanpire au.
I know you just made a post with lore (amazing art btw) but is there anything else about the au you want to talk about. Id love to hear everything
there's a lot of things i want to talk about the au!! im going to use the frantic energy from the year to get myself some bravery and say some of it is inspired by my own experiences with hallucinations and delusion (dont ask about it pls), with the au i want to explore what it would be like having the person who changed you being very literally stuck with you.
i love stories where characters end up sharing a mind and/or body, i also really dont like when its just good person vs bad person, nuance is a lot more fun lol. the relationship luffy and mingo will be forced into stuck as they are is something important to me. mingo is an awful monster but since he can feel everything luffy does he ends up trying to teach him how to live as a vampire, how to take care of himself. im also very found of the concept of parasite (they're literally the worst thing ever and so fucking scary, so naturally they keep coming up in my stories).
it's also about luffy's body and mind failing him, because of the mindlink he has a hard time knowing where he is, sometimes who he is, what is relationships were supposed to be with others, it gets complicated for him! how hard it is to go through one's daily life when your sense are all messed up! (mingo also struggles with that a bit, but this isn't about him, even thought it's new for him too he get used to it much more easily for plot convenience).
other's ppl reaction to the situation also, i feel, completely unconsciously was also incidentally inspired by my own fear of being seen as a monster or dangerous, something to be put down or locked away!
there's also a few jokes in that lore post that reflects this here:
bugs are a pretty common brand of hallucination, be they crawling in the corner of your sight or inside you, making you feel like a walking hives, this was a funny reference to that!
"surprisingly he doesn't start biting people or become violent." this is my not very subtle "mentally ill and neurodivergent folks aren't inherently dangerous pls stop killing us". the occasional euphoria from bloodthist is vaguely inspired by some manic episode, the happy kind.
there's more, about the way this is about trauma and feeling alienated, i guess this is also a "character realize they've got a disorder/develop one and now has to live with it" kind of story.
#op vamp au#vampasks#described in alt text#lol took so long to write all that the new year started. happy new year everyone!!!#i hope the read more works this time........#ive written a lot and im all out of words for now. hoepfully its coherent!! im glad you like my work thank you sm all of you for#your kindness!!!#edit: the read more went two paragraphs down whats wrong with this website edit2: got lower again

Since on of the chapters had the marines talking about how crocodile was seen on emptee bluffs along with the panels showing the remaining seraphim do you think cross guild will end up fighting them
See this is interesting because like
Basic Storytelling 101 would tell us that yes, because we see the remaining Seraphim along with the mention of Crocodile arriving at Emptee Bluffs, it would make sense if the Seraphim have been deployed to go there. This is just how one tells stories.
That said, that was when Crocodile and Daz arrived at EB, we don't know when Mihawk got there and Cross Guild was formally formed, but I'd assume he might've arrived sometime later since Mihawk did have to travel there all the way from Paradise. (Also we know Crocodile contacted Mihawk sometime after the Reverie when the Shichibukai were disbanded, and that was what, before Luffy and co got to Wano, right? And Cross Guild was formally announced sometime around/slightly before the Strawhats liberated Wano, right? So yeah, there should be some passage of time there)
The point being, while the Government may have been willing to spend resources on the individual former Warlords and even send Seraphim after them, when they now have THREE gathered together, the Government COULD see that as too big of a threat to spend resources on, potentially
And I think the key deciding factor here is going to be what's going to go down on Egghead, because depending on what happens there after the flashback wraps up, I could see the Marines deciding to change course with the remaining Seraphim and send them after Luffy and co instead, because they could become a more important target to take down than Cross Guild
Another thing is that we don't know how Buggy's mutiny is going to go from here; he has riled up his men, they have a ship and we don't know how Crocodile and Mihawk are dealing with the situation they're in
I would discuss how killing Buggy could roll out for Croc&Hawk but really, all things considdered, I don't think Oda is going to have the two kill Buggy. Like in-universe it'd be an option, but on a meta level, I don't think it'd actually happen in the narrative, so discussing the option feels like a waste of time.
So really, I think the options for Croc and Hawk on how to deal with Buggy's mutiny would be to
SOMEHOW shut the clown up and get him to calm his men down. IDK how (violence only helps so much) but SOMEHOW
Let the clown leave with his men and stay on Emptee Bluffs by themselves (and maybe whoever else might want to stay (Galdino, perhaps?)
Join Buggy on the Quest for One Piece??? Reluctantly???
And this is where the Seraphim come back into the discussion. Because like. Due to the Seraphim having Lunarian Blood, they're pretty much invunerable in most circumstances, and neither Crocodile or Mihawk should have an understanding on how to fight them. The two are powerful for sure, but if they don't even know the trick to beating the Seraphim/Lunarians, then they could very much be in trouble
So if we were looking at Scenario 2, if there's no ship for Croc and Hawk to escape on, unless they steal a ship from the Marines they're gonna be in real trouble actually. Again, narratively speaking I doubt Oda would kill Crocodile and Mihawk like that, but IDK if the Marines would even want to grab the two and bring them in back to Impel Down or anything if they did catch the two?
Which brings us to the other two Scenarios, where, it doesn't even matter which we're looking at really, if the Seraphim come to Emptee Bluffs the entirety of Cross Guild might just have to flee on Buggy's ship (if they can) (and at that point CrocHawk might actually end up stuck on Buggy's One Piece Quest)
Regardless, since Oda does want to focus on the Strawhats I don't think we're going to get to see A Big Fun Showdown between Crocodile and S-Croc (nor S-Mingo, fun as that would be), but if the Seraphim don't change course from where they're (probably) headed right now, then they might have an unavoidable, brief fight in coming, yeah
In anycase, I can not fucking wait to see what the hell kind of ability Vegapunk gave S-Croc, I need to see that little shit in action
#Moon posting#Asks#OP Spoilers#OP Meta#Cross Guild#There's the Third Forbidden Option where if the Strawhats do get Sabaody 2'd again and Luffy got yeeted to Emptee Bluffs#Then we could actually see a proper showdown against those three Seraphims since. Luffy would be there too#But all things considdered I think the most likely scenario is the Seraphim driving Cross Guild off the island#Much to Crocodile and Mihawk's dismay#But hey if that lead to a Davy Back Fight against the Strawhats I would not be against it LMAO#There is also the question of what's gonna happen with Blackbeard having Garp's bounty from Cross Guild to collect#We have. So many moving pieces here. And no way to tell where they're going. Good god

One Piece Live Action: Ep1 Romance Dawn
Gotta come out now.
When they first announced the live-action adaptation, I protested. But then the trailer came out and the showrunners spoke out their love for the series that I became hyped up for the release. And frankly -and yes, I'm still on episode 1, going to take my time with this one- it didn't disappoint. It was actually pretty good.
The sets, vfx, casts, the storyline, and just every bit of detail oozed with love for the source material and I'm happy and satisfied.
This gave goosebumps

I was looking Mingo and the others too

So, this is how Lyffy got in the barrel. Love them filling the gaps

It's a small change but a change I noticed. They changed her saying "Who is the most beautiful' to "Who is the strongest'

They teased with Baroque Works! VIVI! ROBIN! Need My Miss Wednesday and Miss All Sunday
And Zoro's into!

I'm hoping the flashback for Luffy and Shanks go on more.
Yes baby that's how you looked on your wanted poster ten years later

And the moment I've been waiting for

yum yum yum yum yum

He was visibly disgusted on th first bite but lept on eating. Yeah, that's my dumbass captain

Sneaking into marine base be like

Already have wanted posters but I also need live-action wanted posters

A pirate on his first day, a wannabe marine, bounty hunter, and a navigator walk into a bar

Plotting his first crime

Sorry not sorry

Captain found our navigator

Grandpa just wants his grandson to love him

I want one

AHHH! It's my king!
That horror-esque intro was perfect for my king

So far I like this adaptation. The curse is broken!

introspection ~ portgas d. ace x reader
6,100 words | she/her reader | nsfw
summary: being a marine isn't exactly what he imagined
masterlist | part 2
His back is ram rod straight with hands folded behind and wide eyes on his face. Marine cap askew just a smidge, but enough that he should get a demerit for it. But what’s more out of line are the crumbs on his lips as he says,
“I can explain.”
“Ace.” Garp groans, rubbing a hand over his face and slumped behind the desk.
“Now just listen, Gramps!” Ace immediately jumps in, “I swear I didn’t know that there was some fancy War Lord meeting!”
“Ace.”
“I would have left some behind if I did! Especially for that Mingo guy! I know he’s particular about his pastries. But if I’m being honest, wasn’t all that great. You think the navy could-”
“Ace! That’s enough!” Garp slams his hand onto the desk, “You’re lucky the chefs were able to whip something up before it was too late! Or your ass would be back to patrolling islands in the East Blue right now!”
Ace swallows, wringing his hands behind his back. It wasn’t the first time his Gramps had threatened him with reassignment, and it probably wouldn’t be the last.
But really, how was Ace supposed to know the spread was for a War Lord meeting? You think he would have heard if those so-called big shot pirates were coming to base for the day! Well, maybe it was mentioned in the morning reports, but it’s not like he reads every page.
“And here I was hoping you could at least pull it together for the day you get promoted.” Garp sighs to himself.
“Promoted?” Ace perks up, all decorum thrown out the window as he sprints around the table, “Me?”
A repressed smile peeks out onto Garp’s face. As much as the boy is giving him gray hair, he’s still proud of him, “Not sure now. Can’t have a captain eatin’ all his crew’s food.”
“Captain!?” Ace’s eyes sparkle, “You’re not shittin’ me, are ya gramps?”
“What do ya think, brat?”
“Does this mean I get my own ship?” He starts yammering a mile a minute, “And no more shit assignments? And I can stop at whatever islands I want? Because I swear Gramps, I can smell good food from across the sea and-”
A quick fist comes down on Ace’s head, “That’s enough brat!” Garp huffs to himself, “Can’t even get a word in when ya fire off like that.”
“I’m a captain you know.” Ace whines, clutching his head, “Shouldn’t hit me like that.”
Garp lets out a boisterous laugh as he pulls Ace up from the ground, “I’m proud of you Ace.” A genuine smile stretching on his face, “And for your first assignment!” Ace’s eyes light up with stars, “Swab the halls of your crumbs!”
.
“Place smells like shit.” Ace mutters, following the old man up the hill.
He misses home. Misses the salt in the air that would stick to his skin on humid days. Misses the red hibiscuses that would greet him every morning when he would run out to play.
“You’ll get used to it!” Garp laughs, “Hell, it’s something I miss when I leave!”
“You’re not staying?” Ace whips his head upward, suddenly nervous.
Garp sighs, bending at the knee and patting a hand on Ace’s shoulder, “Sorry kid, I can’t keep ya on the ship forever.” He gives Ace a squeeze, “But don’t worry, Luffy will be your friend!”
.
“Get your fill?” A teasing voice pulls Ace from his thoughts. He looks up from his poor excuse of mopping to see you leaning against the wall. A deep purple cape fastened around your shoulders, gloved hands drumming against your forearm.
With a growl to himself Ace focuses on the floor, scrubbing harder at the tile than necessary.
Heeled boots click against the floor, coming in sight of Ace’s view. He’s suddenly forced to look up when the butt of a sword lifts his chin. “What? No congratulations?” Your head cocked to the side with a smug glean in your eye.
Ace does not pout but comes pretty close when his eyes shift away from you.
Without seeing it, your hand reaches out. Fingers brushing lightly against his cheek and Ace will tell anyone who asks his eyes did not flutter at the sensation.
“Missed a crumb.” You whisper, close enough that Ace can feel the warm air of your words tickling his skin.
“Whaa?” He asks, still in a daze.
With a cackle you break his moment, slapping Ace on the shoulder, “Oh come off it!”
Ace sputters while you laugh and he fidgets to fix his hat, giving his hands something to do.
“What do you want, pirate?”
“That’s warlord to you.” You shoot back in the haughtiest of voices.
“Only took you three years.” Ace sneers, thinking of the length he’s known you.
“Movin’ up the ranks faster than you ever could.” You knock his shoulder.
Ace growls, tightening his grip around the mop, “I’m a captain now!” Coming pretty close to stomping like a child.
“Captains are dime a dozen!” You laugh, “As for me?” You spin in a dramatic circle, “Well I’m one of seven.”
Ace reaches down to grab the mop bucket, shouldering past you, “We’ll see how long that lasts.”
“Oh c’mon!” You follow after, “Upset you couldn’t arrest me before I got my immunity?”
“Still could.” Ace mutters, flinging open a closet and tossing the bucket and mop instead, not caring that water goes flying all over the ground.
“C’mon.” You nudge him with your elbow, “Buy me a drink to celebrate?”
“It’ll be a cold day in hell before I but you a drink.”
“Well, it’s a good thing you’ll be there to warm things up, Fire Fist.” You roll your eyes, “Now let’s go before they run out of the good stuff.”
.
“You could learn something from him, Luffy.” Garp knocks his grandson again, adding a third growing bump to the poor boys head, “That’s what I expect you to look like in a few years!”
Luffy moans from the ground, “Stupid?”
“Oh, come now Garp.” Makino giggles, helping Luffy back to his feet with a pat on the cheek, “Luffy will do great things too.”
“Yeah! I’m gonna be king of the pirates!”
Garp lets out a growl, already balling his fist but Luffy quickly ducks behind Makino who just laughs.
A loud wail interrupts the dispute.
“I can’t believe he’s a marine!” Dadan’s cries, “Damn brat turned out alright!”
“And it’s all thanks to you, boss!” Magra pats her face with a handkerchief.
“Yeah boss!” Dogra nods along, tears in his eyes too.
“The hell it was!” Ace snaps back.
“Just don’t come back and arrest us.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” Ace grumbles, hiking the sack higher on his shoulder as he makes his way over to Gramps.
Luffy jumps around from Makino when Ace reaches them, puffing out his chest with a grin, “I’ll be stronger when I see you next!”
“And I’ll be stronger than that, idiot.” Ace scruffs Luffy’s hair, mindful of the bumps, “Don’t make me come back here to set you straight, ya hear?”
Luffy laughs, rubbing under his nose, “I’d like to see ya try!”
“Alright Ace.” Garp nods over his shoulder towards the marine vessel.
Ace feels his excitement swell looking at the ship. He’s one step closer to being the man he’d want his mother to see him as.
.
“Just so you know, I was gonna get a drink anyway.”
“Yeah, yeah.” You brush him off, eyes already scanning the drinks scratched into the shoddy wall, “Whatever you say.”
Ace waves the barkeep down, ordering two sakes. When they’re placed in front of him, he pushes one towards you, ignoring the flutter when you smile.
“You know me so well.”
Ace looks away, grunting, “You’re indecisive as shit.”
You roll your eyes fondly, “So, captain? When that’d happen?”
“Today.”
“No shit!” You slam your drink on the bar, “Sounds like I’m the one who should be buyin’ the drinks.”
Ace shrugs, unsure what to make of your excitement for him.
“Can’t believe they’re sinking their claws deeper into ya.”
His head pops up, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
You hum, swirling the contents of your mug, “Just seems like you have more in you that being a dog of the military.”
“Better than being scum of the earth.”
“You sure know how to flatter a girl.” Your remark earns you a scoff, “But c’mon now, we’re not all that bad.”
“Oh yeah?” Ace looks at you, “Name one pirate that isn’t a complete shit.”
You tap a finger to your chin, eyes turned upward for a moment before quickly snapping your fingers, “What about that new kid! Hell, heard he’s the reason I got this position! Uhh, strawhat something!”
“Luffy.” Ace immediately fills in.
“Yeah! That’s the one!” You laugh to yourself, “Word on the sea is he beat the shit out of Crocodile to help the Alabasta Princess. And I know what you’re thinking! Probably did it for the treasure, but last I heard he already moved on to Jaya and was pickin’ a fight with one of Doflamingo’s men.”
“Doflamingo, huh?” Ace raises a brow, trying not to seem too interested.
You wave your hand, “Just one of his lackeys. But Doffy seemed pissed when he was complaining about it to Sengoku!”
Ace rolls his eyes, “Whatever.” He takes a drink from his mug, eyes sliding over when he notices you haven’t come back with some quick remark, “What?”
“You know.” You drawl, pressing your arm against his on the bar. The heat from his skin seeping through the fabric of your sleeve, “Now that I’m a Warlord, I don’t have an active bounty.”
“No shit.” Ace snarks, “Always planned on buying something nice with it.”
“Maybe I can make it up to you.” Your voice drops with a bite of your lip.
Ace scoffs, starring into his mug, “Don’t need your stolen treasure.”
“As if I’d give you a single berry of my treasure.” You move your hand down to his leg, immediately twitching under your fingers.
Ace jumps in his seat, quickly twisting and crushing your hand in his hold, “What are you doing?” He leans in and hisses.
Ignoring the pain, you meet him closer, “Just thinkin’ ‘bout last time we were in a bar like this.” Your eyes flick to his lips and back up, “Probably the last time you didn’t have a stick up your ass too.” You smirk, “Not that I wouldn’t love to help with it though.”
Ace colors from his cheeks to the tips of his ears, throwing your hand back at you.
“Oh c’mon!” Your laughter rings out, attracting too many stares for comfort in the bar, “I was just kidding!”
.
“What’s the occasion?”
“First month on the Grand Line.” His boyish smile lights up his face.
“Really?” You lean a cheek into your palm, “Let me buy you a drink to celebrate.” You hold a up two fingers as you take the seat next to the young man. Reminds you of an excitable puppy with the energy radiating from him.
Wonder how long it’ll take for the Grand Line to harden that.
.
“No bed this time?” You tease, winding your arms around his shoulders.
“I’m sure as hell not getting on your ship, and I’m pretty sure you’re interested in getting on mine.” Ace’s fingers inch up under your shirt, grabbing hold of your waist.
“Can’t spring for a room with that captain pay?”
Ace huffs and you swear it’s a laugh. Hooking a leg around his hip you delight when he lets out a moan.
.
“Fuck, fuck.” Ace groans into your ear when he presses into you fully.
You let out a moan of your own, enjoying his weight pressed against your body. Your fingers slip up his unusually hot skin, scratching along the way before sinking into his inky hair. Just long enough for you to twist your hands into and give a harsh tug to pull him out of your shoulder.
“Don’t!” He chokes, panting loudly and causing you to freeze under him, “Unless.” He breathes harshly through his nose, “You want this to end right now.”
It’s then that you notice his arms are shaking, cock throbbing inside you like he’s about to spill over.
Your lips turn upward, “Didn’t realize you were that new to the Grand Line.” And the thinly veiled comparison isn’t lost on Ace, who has nothing to say to your quip.
With a push on his shoulder, you easily toss him onto his back, so pliant under your hands. “But that’s okay.” You coo against his cheek, and he’s clenching his eyes so tightly, chest quickly rising as he tries to get his breathing under control.
Just to be mean you roll your hips forward, and he lets out a sob.
“I’ll take care of you tonight, hmm?”
.
“You’ve gotten good.” You pant, his hips rocking against yours, “Who’ve you been practicing with?”
Ace eyes you with a mean glint, as if he knows your trying to regain control. So close to being the first to fall apart but not wanting to lose this battle.
But neither of you were ready to admit defeat so easily. He still had a score to settle from that first night when you rode him so hard and fast, he could barely keep up before he was crying out in overstimulation.
He could never get that night out of his head. Always popping up at the most inopportune times. Became sort of a ritual for Ace to grab a cold shower anytime he caught sight of your crew, whether it be in battle or your wanted poster.
A particularly harsh thrust rucks you up higher against the wall. Brick scraping against the back of your head. A hiss escapes your lips and Ace is quick to fit his hand between you and the wall.
“Give in already.” He mutters against your cheek, hand sneaking around from your thigh to your center. Ace is quite pleased with himself when your breaths turn to hiccups from the work of his deft fingers.
.
“Have another round in ya?” You lean over Ace.
“I don’t think I even had that last one in me.” He throws an arm across his face and you grin at the sight.
“Oh, come on now.” Your hand wraps around his soft cock, giving it a good squeeze that earns you a yelp as he jumps up. He scoots up your shabby bed as he protectively covers his sensitive bits and sending a glare your way.
Your laughter tinkles throughout the room, the early morning rays peeking in the port window. “You’re a cute one.” You fall into the sheets that do little to cover your nakedness.
Ace’s cock painfully twitches as his eyes roam your body. Swallowing thickly, he looks back up at you, clearly caught red handed.
So cute.
“Think your crew’s looking for you?”
“Have the night off.” Ace runs his fingers through his hair, “Wouldn’t have been drinking otherwise.”
“Night off?” You laugh, “Your captain keeps a tight leash on each of you, huh?” You roll onto your back, “I don’t think I could manage keeping tabs on my dumbasses like that.” Laughing to yourself at even the thought of wrangling them into a schedule.
“Your, what?” Ace asks weakly.
“They’d probably jump ship from the Orchid pirates before following some shit like that.”
“Pirates?” Ace croaks, finger hanging limply in the air.
You squint for a moment, eyes darting to his neatly folded clothes on the chair. You had thought it was odd when he took the do so, but now that you think about it.
“You’re not a pirate, are ya?”
.
“Just one?” You pout, watching as Ace hurriedly tucks himself back into his pants.
“Shouldn’t have even been once.” He mutters, throwing a look down the alley.
“Way to make a girl feel special.” And you can’t hold back the laugh when he whips his head up with a sorry expression.
“I- it wasn’t, not like-” Ace sputters and you take pity on him with a laugh.
“Imagine the scandal.” You tease, “Newly promoted marine captain Fire Fist Ace, fucked by War Lord of the sea.”
“I think I was the one doing the fucking.”
You reach out for his collar, pulling him close to your face, “Your pathetic whimpering said otherwise.”
Ace growls lowly in his throat, hand slapping to the wall against your head.
Voices carry from the street and Ace freezes, crowding closer against you as if to hide the compromising position.
“You sure about that second round?” You whisper into his ear, nipping lightly at his neck.
Ace fails to suppress a shiver, voice strangled when he answers, “Roll call at twenty hundred.”
“Pirates don’t have bedtimes, ya know?”
Ace extracts himself, taking an extra step back just to be safe he doesn’t do something stupid. Again. He clears his voice before nodding his head, “Have a safe evening.”
You slump against the wall watching him walk back towards his ship.
Ah well. At least he can’t make fun of the limp you’re sure you’ll have by morning.
.
“Maybe he wants a beetle. Beetles make me happy.”
“Shut up Luffy.” A second voice hisses.
Ace glares at the sky, trying to ignore the two voices that haven’t left him alone since he was dropped off on this shit island.
“What about meat? Everybody likes meat!”
Ace growls, getting to his feet and stomping into the forest.
He doesn’t want to be here. He doesn’t want to be friends with those two wannabe pirates. And he really doesn’t want beetles or meat.
“Way to go, idiot.”
Ace wants to be back Baterilla. He wants his room and toys instead of a hut of bandits. He wants to be hiding in bushes from his mother instead of in a forest from a couple of idiots.
“Oh?” A menacing voice laughs, “And what do we have here?”
Ace looks up, his anger quickly turning to fear. Backing up, Ace prepares to jump into a sprint, but before he can he slams into another man behind him.
He hadn’t been paying attention when he stumbled into Grey Terminal.
Luffy and his friend were always messing around this dump and Ace made sure to stay far away.
“You wouldn’t happen to know two little shits who stole from me this morning, would ya?”
Ace opens and closes his mouth, no words forming as the man twirls around a dagger in his hand.
“Back off!”
Out of nowhere two small figures jump from the shadows, pipes cracking against the skulls of the men who stagger from the blows.
“Run!” Luffy laughs, already dashing back into the foliage.
But Ace is still frozen, scared of what might happen as the men are already back to their feet with snarls on their face.
“Come on!” A hand tugs on his wrist, dragging him back into the forest. Ace goes with, his feet working to follow the boys as the duck and weave around roots and branches.
Before long they’ve climbed up a tree and Luffy is still laughing.
“That was a close one Ace!”
“Sorry about that.” The other apologizes, “Idiot over here nabbed their food earlier and didn’t think to make a clean get away.”
“Oi!” Luffy stomps his foot, “You ate it too!”
“Anyway.” The boy grins his gapped tooth smile, fixing his hat, “I’m Sabo. Heard you have to live with Luffy, that must suck.”
Ace nods, his voice still lost from coming face to face with the terrifying men. He can feel tears gathering in the corner of his eyes, heart still beating too fast.
Luffy swings his pipe over his shoulder, “You kinda sucked back there. You don’t even have a weapon, how were you gonna fight those guys? Here!” He drops the metal in front of Ace, “Now you can join our pirate crew!” Luffy grins, “I’m gonna be the captain, but you can be my first mate!”
“Don’t wanna be a pirate.” Ace mumbles, wiping at his eyes.
“And you’re not captain, idiot!” Sabo tries to whack Luffy with his pipe.
Luffy doges Sabo’s attempt and ducks around to crouch down in front of Ace, “Why don’t you wanna be a pirate? They’re cool!”
Ace glares, reddening in anger, “No they’re not!”
Ace thinks of the pirate he’s heard so much about. Thinks of the photos his mother used to show him. But he didn’t care. Because if his old man wasn’t a pirate then he wouldn’t have left his mom. And if he had stuck around then maybe his mom wouldn’t have been so sick.
And then maybe she would still be here to weave flowers in his hair. And Ace wouldn’t have to be on this stupid island with stupid bandits and these stupid idiots.
“Well what do you wanna be?” Luffy cocks his head.
And then Ace thinks of the nice man who would stop by every few months. Who would carry his mom’s groceries in from town. Who would always have some little trinket for him. Whose shoulder he sobbed into the morning after. Whose boat he traveled on for a month.
Who told him to call him Gramps.
“I want to be a marine.”
“Boo!” Luffy sticks out his tongue, “That’s stupid!”
“No, it’s not!” Ace jumps to his feet with little fists, “Marines are nice and help people!”
“Not uh!” Luffy fires back, “Marines are bad guys and fight pirates!”
“Pirates are the bad guys!” Ace pushes Luffy to the ground.
“See!” Luffy cries to Sabo with a pointed finger, “He’s acting like a stinky marine right now!”
Ace shoves a finger right back in Luffy’s face, “And he started it!”
“Hey!” Sabo steps between the two, “Maybe Ace will be a good marine and maybe if you’re not such an idiot he won’t have to fight you.”
“He’s not gonna anyway, because I’m gonna be king of the pirates!”
“Not if I stop you first!”
Luffy grins, brushing a thumb across his nose, “I’d like to see you try!”
.
“So, you’re really Luffy’s brother?”
Ace stops in his tracks, the kid running straight into his back before he spins around with a hiss, “Who told you that?”
Koby’s face quickly matches his hair, “Uhh, well, Vice Admiral Garp said that he, well that you-”
“I’m gonna stop you right there.” Ace cuts him off, “You better keep your mouth shut if you want to make it further than chore boy, got it?”
Koby gives a poorly executed salute and furiously bobs his head, “Yes, sir!”
Ace rolls his eyes, turning on his heel. While getting promoted to captain was a step up from almost being a chore boy himself, he didn’t know it would include being a babysitter to the two Gramps threw at him.
If he’s being honest, all the changes from standard marine to captain have been shit. More paperwork. More responsibilities. Less sleep. And he hasn’t stopped at a single island yet!
“Sir.” One of his subordinates runs up, “You have a call on the transponder snail.”
Ace sighs, looking to the ocean for a brief moment before he follows inside.
.
“You look stupid.”
“And you look like a criminal.”
“Well, I am a pirate!” Luffy’s grin takes up his entire face, “Wanna meet my crew? I’ve already got a navigator, swordsman, cook, doctor.” He counts off on his fingers, “And a liar!”
Ace leans against the wall, “Sounds like quite the bunch.”
“Yep! Now all I need is a musician!” Luffy cocks his head, “You know how to play anything? You could join.”
“I’m not going to join your crew, Luffy.”
“Ahh you’re no fun.” Luffy whines, “Sabo always said you were stuck in mud.”
“Stick in the mud.” Ace corrects.
“Whatever.” Luffy waves his hand, “I gotta get back to the Merry. Sure you don’t want to come? Sanji makes the best fried octopus!”
“Dumb enough for me to be lurkin’ with ya when White Chase is on the prowl.” Ace pauses, “I should arrest you.”
“I’d like to see ya try!”
Luffy’s laughter echoes throughout the alley long after he’s gone.
.
Ace glares in frustration and awe at the sight before him.
Luffy did this?
Three years ago, the kid could barely punch straight and now Ace is supposed to believe he took on CP9 and won?
And now he’s here to do the fucking cleanup.
Ace spent the better part of the day helping move rubble and debris out of the destroyed Enies Lobby. After his unit was cleared for the day, he headed down to the residential area, pitching in where he could.
Guilt swirls in his belly as he looks at the destroyed homes and displaced families.
If he had stopped his brother in Alabasta none of this would have happened. If he hadn’t let personal feelings get in the way of his duty, he could have prevented this.
“What a shitshow this place is.”
Ace spins at your voice, surprised to see you here.
“Can’t believe a crew no more than a handful did all this.” Your foot kicks a rock off the ledge, “Then again, not surprised that prick Spaldam went all out for some low-level pirate. Think it was personal?”
“Captain!” Koby’s voice rings out, “Vice Admiral Garp will be leaving for Water 7 if you plan on joining.”
“No.” Ace answers, the first thing he’s said since you arrived, “I will not.”
You watch curiously as the boy with pink hair opens and closes his mouth, like he has more to say. The boy decides the better of it and turns to head down the stairs to the port.
Looking over at Ace, it’s not hard to miss the anger that’s etched onto his face.
“You know, I heard Strawhat is hiding out in Water 7. Little surprised you ain’t barrelin’ in on a sea train yourself.”
“Tch.” Ace scowls, looking down at the marine vessel that he’s sure gramps is on right now. “Wouldn’t make a difference. Not like the idiot’s gonna get arrested.”
You cock your head and Ace feels his stomach churn at your appraising stare. He’s always hated when you look at him like that. Like you could see through him or something.
“Underestimating the Vice Admiral?”
“Only his sense of justice when it comes to his grandson.”
You’re silent for a moment before cracking a smile, “Sounds like the two of you never grew out of playing pirates and marines.”
Ace scoffs at your bad joke, “And he never grew up. Kid’s gonna get himself killed.”
“Aww.” You knock his shoulder with a teasing lit, “You care.”
Ace’s cheeks flush slightly, “Yeah well.” He kicks a rock off the bridge, “Not a good look for me to be sniffing round him when the Admirals show up.”
“Depends on who you’re asking.”
There’s something in your voice that makes Ace pause.
“Seems like you’ve had quite the day, want to grab a drink?” The question hangs in the air, the intent crystal clear.
Ace swallows, “Little busy.”
“And later tonight?”
He doesn’t answer. There isn’t any excuse besides the truth. That he feels a little too free when he’s around you. A little dangerous, like he might make a choice he wouldn’t regret.
“I see.” You say to yourself, “Well, thanks for letting a girl down easy.”
.
“There he is!” You call out, “I’ve been lookin’ for ya, Fire Fist!”
Ace freezes when he hears your voice. It had been little over a month since your last run in when Ace’s unit failed to stop your crew from pillaging a merchant ship.
You had locked eyes with him across the water, a cannonball narrowly missing your ship when you blew a kiss his way.
But now instead of the sea separating the two of you, it was a busy street. And you were crossing it towards him.
Would it be bad if he ran?
“Fire Fist.” You’re grinning widely in front of him, “Long time no see.”
Ace clears his throat, he wasn’t going to run! He was going to do his duty and arrest a criminal! “Pirate. As you have an active bounty with the World Government, I have no choice but to place you under-”
“Oh?” You cut him off with a cock of the head, “What? You save my name for when we’re alone?”
Ace colors, feeling a little warm under his marine cap. And it has nothing to do with his devil fruit.
“And who’s to say I haven’t turned a new leaf?” You bat your eye lashes, “Redemption and all that shit?”
“Have you now?” Ace asks, unimpressed.
“That’s neither here nor there.” You wave a hand in front of your face, “Heard you got honored last month for your bravery back on San Faldo. Making quite the name for yourself.”
A pleased feeling settles in Ace’s stomach that he immediately tries to squash down.
“Are we here to exchange accolades? Because if so, I have a list long enough to send you to Impel Down.”
You grin and Ace suddenly feels like he’s fallen into a trap, “Keepin’ tabs on me, Fire Fist?”
“Wha- no!” Ace sputters, “N- no! It’s my job, I’m a marine!”
Your laughter is full body as you lean back, eyes crinkled, “This was fun.” You say as you finally calm down, “Wish I could stick around but I hear there’s a pretty vault filled with jewelry on the south side of the island. Catch ya later.” With a quick salute you spin on your heel.
Not even a step further and Ace grabs you by the wrist, “You can’t be stupid enough to think I’m going to let you walk away after that.”
Your eyes slide towards his, narrowed with annoyance, “You can’t be stupid enough to start a fight when you’re out numbered.”
Ace’s face scrunches in confusion. He watches your slight nod of the head. Looking up he counts three, no, at least four discreetly placed individuals. Each staring at the two of you with unhidden interest.
“Like I said.” You growl, pulling your hand back. “I’ll catch you later.”
Ace waits until you’ve disappeared around the corner before beelining it back to the ship.
His anger at your outward taunting is doubled after nothing happens that evening. He’s reamed out by his superior for wasting resources on staking out an untouched vault.
Especially when a bank on the north side of the island is wiped clean in the middle of the night without a trace.
.
Sabaody always left Ace feeling off. Easily one of the seediest places in all the Grand Line. He tries his best to stay on the ship whenever he’s stationed at the archipelago.
He had almost been excited when he was called in to assist in with the round up of some pirate rookies causing trouble. But by the time he arrived all had been taken care of and he was yet again saddled with paperwork instead.
Ace snaps a spark from his finger, leaning over the edge of the ship. He watches the flames fall to the ocean before extinguishing in the water.
“You’ve got the damsel in distress attitude down to a tee.” Ace shoots up when your voice reaches his ears, not even noticing your approaching footsteps, “You need rescuing?”
Ace rolls his eyes, turning back to the water, “What are you doing here?”
“Called in to Marineford.” You shrug, “But can’t miss the chance to stop at my favorite place on the Grandline.”
“Figures.” Ace scoffs, “And what about on my ship?”
“Can’t I say hi to an old friend?” You ask with a pout.
“Friend is a bit of a stretch.”
You come up beside him, nudging your shoulder against him, “The melancholy isn’t a good look on you.”
Ace doesn’t answer because you’re not wrong. But it’s a feeling he hasn’t been able to shake for a long time.
“Well.” You slap your hands on the rail, “If you need me, I’ll be at a bar in grove 13. Shit drinks but the prices are decent enough if you have something to trade.”
He can feel you staring but doesn’t meet your eye. Afraid of what he might do if he looks at you. Enough time passes and you take your leave.
Ace wonders what it must be like to just do as you please. You always sound so light. He wonders if you wake up with plans in mind for the day, or if you wait for something to fall into your lap.
Ace knows how he wakes up. To a shrill alarm at six hundred every morning. Just to eat the same gruel for breakfast that he does every day before he sits down in his office to see his itinerary has already been sent over from headquarters.
Ace’s fists tighten on the rail, melting indents into the metal.
“(Y/N).” He calls, spinning around “Wait-”
His voice dies in his throat when it’s not your face he sees.
“Let’s talk.” Is all Akainu says.
Ace doesn’t say anything as he follows the Admrial through the ship. Marines quickly dropping what they’re doing to throw up a salute the moment they see the man.
The imposing Admiral walks into Ace’s office, taking a seat at the desk and lighting a cigar.
Ace watches ash fall onto the reports he spent all night getting through.
“Your grandfather has no ambition.” Akainu leans back in the chair, a circle of smoke surrounding his face, “Wasted talent.”
Ace swallows thickly, unsure how to respond. Did the Admiral really come to his ship to talk to him about Gramp’s work ethic?
“He’s doing the same to you, boy.” Akainu takes a deep inhale of his cigar, the smoke easily escaping him as he points towards Ace with lighted end, “You could be the top. Even with that devil’s blood of yours.” A frozen chill runs through Ace’s veins, lead dropping into his stomach. Ace’s eyes widen as Akainu cocks his head with a smirk, “Didn’t think we knew?”
“I-” It’s the first thing he’s uttered, and he can’t even get a full word out.
“At least Garp was able to set one of you straight.” He mutters while shoving the cigar into his palm, brushing off the ash.
“You and I are a lot alike.”
“Our devil fruits?” Ace asks before he can shut his mouth.
Akainu stares at him for a moment before letting out a huff, “Cute.” He stands from the desk, “I hope to see you on the side of justice.” He leaves without another word and Ace exhales a breath he didn’t realize he was holding in.
They know. They know and he’s still here?
Ace needs a fucking drink.
He barrels off the ship and sets off in a direction he doesn’t know.
“Fire Fist!” Your voice rings out, but Ace keeps walking. “Hey!” He can hear you running after him, but he doesn’t have time for this.
A hand gives him a strong shove into his back, causing Ace to stumble.
“What the hell?” He whips around with a snarl, fire erupting from his fist.
“What the hell me? What the fuck you! I was calling your name!”
“You think just cause some scum pirate wants my attention I’m going to give it to ‘em?”
Your face falls, hurt flashing across it before it twists into anger, “I’m going to let that one slide since I’m sure you’re dealing with your own shit right now.” You wave the newspaper in your hand.
“You don’t know anything about me.” Ace snarls, “You think you’re special because you’re a War Lord? You’re still nothin’ but a no-good filthy pirate. Remember your place next time.”
The venom in his voice shocks you a moment, never hearing such callousness behind it before, “Oh yeah?” You spit back, “And what’s that make you then? If you’ll sink low enough to fuck one?”
“Just reminding you of all you’re good for.” The words leave his mouth before he even has time to process what he’s said. All he knows know is that your face is screwing up in hurt, bitter tears filling your eyes.
“Fuck you, Ace.” Your voice only holds hurt as you whip the newspaper in his face.
“Wait, (Y/N)-” He starts, clumsily catching the newspaper. But the words die in his throat and a pool of dread forms in his stomach when he catches the printed words.

Hay!
Hope you are doing great. I wanted to ask for the following request.
Headcanons for: s/o meeting their "father" / role model
Luffy - Shanks
Marco and Ace - Whitebeard
Law - Corazon
Sabo - Dragon
For female reader and maybe you could add one or two aspects like how their "fathers"/role models would react on telling them s/o is pregnant and they are going to be grandfathers. But this is not necessary!
Thanks a lot for your awesome content on your blog! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
Hey hey! Thank you for always requesting so different kind of requests! I really enjoy writing your ideas! For Law I was thinking about an alternative timeline where Rosinante wasn't dead and therefore Law was still technically part of Mingo's crew. I hope you don't mind :) Please enjoy!!
Luffy
Luffy is not worried about you meeting Shanks. He knows that Shanks will like you so there is simply no point in him thinking about it too much. Luffy is a little hasty when it comes to making new friends but he has a pretty good sense of who to trust and Shanks trusts Luffy in that aspect.
So, when you meet the emperor you are waaay more nervous than Luffy is and not just because Shanks is one of the most powerful pirates there is. You have shaky knees, your mouth is dry and you feel like you have to vomit – and in the end you were worried about nothing.
Shanks welcomes you with open arms and he will instantly ask if you if you want to have a drink to celebrate; well he won’t really ask and rather demand you take a drink. He wants to know everything about you, not just about you and Luffy. He takes genuine interest in your life and what motivates you. Though, most of his questioning is to make sure that you not have any ulterior motives.
When Luffy announces (out of nowhere) that you are pregnant, he will be shocked (mostly because he’s never thought about Luffy becoming a father). But when Luffy says that he will be a “grandpa” he is speechless. He knows how much Luffy looks up to him but he’s never imagined him considering Shanks as a father.
“It’ll be an honor to be part of your child’s life, Luffy, Y/n.” and he really means it. He won’t cry or anything like that but he is deeply moved even though he isn’t sure if he’s the best role model there is. Needless to say, his crew is happy for you guys as well and Luffy is just grinning like he’s won the lottery.
Marco
You’ve heard many stories about Whitebeard from Marco. After all, he’s been part of his crew for ages and you’re really excited to finally meet the man Marco speaks so highly of. Marco also manages to take away your nervousness for the most part. He prepared you for any scenario that might occur and you honestly feel confident in meeting him.
When you eventually meet him though, all this confidence is blown away and your head is empty. I mean, this man is a giant and his aura alone makes people run for their lives. Iz also doesn’t help that he looks at you with a somewhat wary expression the first time he meets you; but that’s simply because he’s overly protective of his family.
This wariness, however, will vanish once he gets to know you more and more. It also helps that Marco is practically praising you without being too obvious. Things like “Oh, I started teaching her one or two things about medicine and she is a quick learner.” Or “Y/n is the best at telling stories! It makes you feel like you were part of it!”.
Marco takes a while to tell Whitebeard that you two are expecting a child. He isn’t sure if he wants to stay with you, to have you come with them or find another option but he wants Whitebeard to know. But before he can even tell his captain the good news Whitebeard already looks at him with a knowing smile. I can imagine him already knowing the second you board the ship. It’s just his instincts.
What he wasn’t expecting was Marco actually telling him that he will become a grandfather. Sure, he considers all of his crew his family but there is something special to being called a grandpa, he doesn’t really know why. He just likes the thought of Marco’s child already being part of his family without being born yet. That’s a first, for sure.
Ace
Different from Marco, Ace is not the best at helping you calm down before meeting Whitebeard. You’ve heard all the stories about this impressive man and it doesn’t really help that Ace tells you over and over again how he got beaten my “the old man” back then. You know Ace is strong, but how strong must Whitebeard be when he defeated your boyfriend so easily?
Just like with Marco’s partner meeting Whitebeard, the emperor is wary of you. But different from Marco, Whitebeard doesn’t quite trust Ace’s “taste” when it comes to women. He knows Ace is capable of making rational decisions but he is also quite sure that Ace could mess things up rather quickly.
Not because he is a bad person but because he is still young and can be a little irrational sometimes or make hasty decisions. But all the worries he might have are blown away when he sees how happy Ace is while being with you and seeing him happy makes Whitebeard happy. He will warm up to you rather quickly after that and consider you part of his family as well.
Ace will probably be drunk when he tells Whitebeard that he will become a grandpa and you are in shock. Not because he told him that he’d be a grandpa, you’ve already talked about this and accepted that the emperor is like Ace’s father, so you have no problem considering your child being Whitebeard’s “grandchild”. No, the reason you’re shocked is because he is drunk! This is NOT the way you wanted your “father-in-law” to know about your pregnancy.
But Whitebeard takes it with humor and is actually excited about the news. Just with Marco, there is something special about being called a grandpa instead of just “pops” or “old man”. He is also kind of looking forward to seeing Ace’s child grow up to become a strong pirate (if he lived that long).
Law
You actually met Rosinante quite early on in your relationship with Law. Not because either of you insisted you meet him but because it just happened. You met him by coincidence when you two visited Dressrosa and there he was.
Law has told you about Rosinante, telling you everything about him once he trusted you completely. You also knew that Rosinante was “mute” in front of Doflamingo and his crew so you weren’t too surprised when he didn’t answer you directly. But once the three of you were alone and he created this soundproof space he started talking. And boy, was he excited to meet you. Remember when Law called him “Cora-san” for the first time? This type of excited but even more.
He wants to know everything about you two and Law will eventually disappear to leave the two of you alone. He loves you but he gets annoyed rather quickly, especially once either of you start talking about Law. Rosinante about how Law was when he was a child and you about how he is when being with you.
You are the one announcing to him that you’re pregnant and he doesn’t know what to say. He’s over the moon and back and he is so happy for the two of you. He will immediately look for Law and congratulate him as well, already thinking about names for your child.
What gives him the rest though, is when Law kind of awkwardly tells him that he should make some room in the future to help take care of the baby (when Mingo isn’t around since he doesn’t know that Corazon actually likes kids) since the child will eventually start calling him grandpa or something along the lines.
Sabo
It takes a long time for Sabo to ask you to finally meet Dragon. Not because he doesn’t trust you but he needs to trust you, if you know what I mean. Dragon is one of the most wanted people on this planet so of course Sabo doesn’t want to sabotage him by bringing in someone who he doesn’t trust 200%. So, naturally, you two have been dating for at least one year, probably even more.
And even when you eventually meet the leader of the revolutionary army, the man will have his men keep a close eye on you, just in case, even though he trusts Sabo completely and his judgement when it comes to people. But better be safe than sorry and you probably won’t even notice anyone.
Sabo is a naturally talkative person so it doesn’t take long for him to praise all your good sides (like Marco) but also point out your “weak points” like embarrassing things you’ve done while you two have been dating. But that’s exactly what will eventually convince Dragon that you are 1. No threat to the army and 2. Are the right woman for Sabo.
He knows he has a son out there but he considers Sabo his son as well so when the blonde tells him that he will become a “grandpa” he is taken aback. He won’t be showing his joy about the news openly and you will probably think that he is not too pleased about the news but that’s basically because the revolution is his top priority, even above his family.
Nevertheless will he give the two of you his blessing and he kind of enjoys the thought of being a grandpa but he won’t engage in his “grandchild’s” life too much for above mentioned reasons. He will drop by from time to time to see how you are doing but he won’t be changing anything in his behavior and daily schedule. Ivankov will probably play a bigger part in your child’s live than Dragon will.

If the Straw Hats Had a Reality Show Dedicated to Pirates Headcanon! Ft: Law!
With how infamous the pirate crew gotten, it was only natural that they were soon granted the rights to have their own reality show, like other famous pirates in the Grand Line and the New World.
Get ready for Keeping Up with the Straw Hats!
Luffy: Whether it was his strength, or his childlike innocence, Luffy was a fan favorite!
He often ignored the producers suggestions to make the show more interesting.
Luffy didn’t like when the producers told him to punch a random person on the street when they were visiting an island.
Was not getting paid, as he owed the producers over 10,000 berris for punching the camera one time in anger, when the director attempted to take his meat away. The director was only making a suggestion for a much healthier diet for the star of the show.
Luffy also skipped out on a lot of confessional sessions. Mainly because he really didn’t have much to hide to begin with. But if he did go, it was mainly to either show appreciation for his crew or to make public declarations:
“Sanji’s cooking the BEST!”
“Do we get free meat with this show?”
“I’m going to kick Mingo’s ass!”
Zoro: The viewers found Zoro amusing! Whether it be him constantly getting lost, or his heated arguments with Sanji. The producers would rush over to him, cameras and all whenever they caught the two together.
Zoro was surprisingly popular with female viewers. They enjoyed watching him sweat whenever he would work out in the crows nest.
Zoro didn’t care about the show really. Just as long as he gets to work out, drink booze, and sleep, he’s good.
The producers always looked forward to his confessionals after he fights with Sanji:
“That damn shitty cook! Just who the hell does he think he is?!”
“That curly brow dumbass is gonna get himself killed one of these days!”
Sanji: Was angry that Zoro was racking in more views from the female viewers than he was!
Why him?! Why not me?!
He kicked the camera man straight in the chin when he told him that Zoro was naturally more popular than he was.
Sanji desperately tried to win over the female viewers by showing off his fighting skills or his culinary expertise.
He was excited when he finally got some fan mail from the fans!
It turned out to be from the okamas though…
If Sanji went to the confessionals, it was usually to cry about why women weren’t interested in him…or to talk shit about Zoro:
“Just what does he have that I don’t on this show?”
“Why aren’t all the beautiful ladies watching me?”
Little did Sanji know, he caught the eyes of Violet and Pudding.
Nami: An absolute slut for the camera! The producers LOVED her!
One couldn’t tell who was using who more. All that mattered was what would bring them more views and more money.
Whenever it was filming time, Nami would purposely wear a bikini without the jeans to draw in the male viewing audience.
Add the extra seductive act she would put on, and nosebleeds would cover millions of transponder snail television screens.
Loved to give tours of the Sunny and show off her designer clothes.
Would parade around the islands, using Momonosuke as an accessory to manipulate the fans into loving her more.
Nami LOVED to take advantage of the fanbase, often subtly asking for gifts mainly money through the fan mail she receives. Next to Robin, she had the most.
Nami became very vain and strict with the crew on how to present themselves for the camera and had to keep members like Luffy in check to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid to cause the show to be cancelled. But just in case, as a backup, she could always start an Only Fans.
One might say that the fame and fortune was getting to her head, as she would purposely start up drama whenever she was out on an island. Would probably steal from a city mayor if it meant she could get the fans taking for weeks.
Whenever she was in the confessionals, it was mainly to complain about Luffy’s or Zoro’s antics.
Would probably shit talk about Robin, although faking it the whole time, to get some drama started:
“Honestly! I wish Luffy would just use some common sense for once!”
“Robin thinks she’s all that! But everyone knows, I’m the prettiest girl on the show!”
“I’ll let you film me in the bath. It’ll cost you 1 million beri!”
Franky: Loved the camera! One sided on the producers part since they didn’t enjoy Franky’s sense of…ahem…style.
He would dance, be loud, or show off his cool body.
If he was in the confessional room, it was to complain openly to the producers on why they did him dirty.
“Hey! I saw last weeks episode! Why did you cut my scene out, bro?!”
Ussop: Although not nearly as popular as Nami, Ussop was interesting enough to get some viewers watching the show, even unintentionally.
Ussop used the show to make himself seem cooler, mainly through the confessionals.
The lies he told caught the attention of viewers worldwide, though very few could sees past his lies.
The producers didn’t care, so long as there were viewers.
“Yes it was I! The Great Captain Ussop who defeated CP9!”
“Wait wait! Cut that out! Cut that scene out! I meant SniperKing!”
Chopper: The Worlds Favorite Cutie Pie!
Choppers looks alone were enough to win the hearts of viewers! Mostly the female reindeer mink.
Combine that with his child like innocence and he’s instantly a popular household name!
On top of that he already has many sponsorships from multiple sweet brands. (Mainly cotton candy ones.)
Choppers pretty shy on camera and often does his usual dance when he’s nervous. The audience eats it up.
He doesn’t gossip. When it comes to confessionals, he’s usually talking about Zoro’s recklessness when it comes to bandages, or Sanji’s nose bleeding habits.
Jimbei: Not particular interested in TV or fame, but used being on TV to his advantage to spread his word and try stop discrimination against fishmen.
The producers found him boring and didn’t look forward to filming him, especially at confessionals…but at the very least, he was able to bring in views due to his former status as a warlord.
Robin: Had many admirers! She enjoyed being on the show. Often is seen on screen on a lavish shopping trip with Nami.
She does her part to make the show more interesting, whether it is be her dark sense of humor or putting her devil fruit powers to good use.
She once used it on a producer when he asked her to do something suggestive for views. After that, the producers never messed with her again, out of fear for their lives.
Not much for confessionals though, except when she’s expressing how amused she is at Luffy’s antics.
She may appeared to be calm and quiet but you better believe that the rumors she would stir up, would get the people talking!
Piers Morgans was having a field day with the headlines:
“Did Cat Burgler Nami Get Breast Implants?!”
“Roronoa Zoro: Honorable Swordsmen or Man Thot?! Gets Caught Sleeping with Wano’s Most Beautiful Woman!”
“Is Monkey D Luffy, Secretly Seeing His Crewmates Sister From the Germa Kingdom?!”
Brook: Fans loved seeing Soul King on screen. In some episodes he’s either playing music or he’s attempting a panty raid in Nani’s room. Which often results in him getting beat up by her every time.
Anything he says in the confessional‘s ends up with his signature laugh.
Law: Made a special guest appearance since starting hiw alliance with Luffy.
You can imagine his look of surprise, when the crew showed up on Punk Hazard with a camera crew and all.
He wasn’t at all interested in being on TV. His famous “I hate bread” made him an instant fan favorite. And meme along the fanbase.
He didn’t like that…
Law hated being followed around by the camera crew on the Thousand Sunny or when he simply just wanted peace. He frequently scolded the producers to stop or told Luffy to call off the cameras, but neither listened.
He only wanted to discuss the alliance plans in private with the crew and didn’t want the producers to catch any of it for the world to see.
As time went on, and Law was getting sucked into the Straw Hat shenanigans. He found himself wandering into the confessional where he would frequently complain about the crew. Mainly the captain.
“Mugiwara-ya will be the death of me…”
“Rorona-ya has no sense of direction…”
“How has the crew survived this long? They don’t ever strategize when it comes to making a plan!”
Viewer Reactions:
Sabo: Enjoys watching his little brother on screen, and always has a good laugh. Koala would often scold him for abandoning his duties to go watch the show.
Hancock: Would briefly abandon her duties as Pirate Empress for the whole day if it meant, she could watch Luffy on screen.
Took up most of his fan mail, and gifts that had meat.
Hancock would be envious of Nami and Robin on her screen, wishing she was their with Luffy.
Mihawk: Reality shows weren’t his usual choice of television entertainment, but he did watch, soley to watch over Zoro’s progress as a swordsmen. He would lie if Perona asked him if he found what he saw the slightest bit amusing.
Ace: He got a kick out watching his little brother on screen. Often laughing at Luffy’s antics. He saw that Luffy’s crew was slowly riding in more views on the reality show The WhiteBeard Pirates had. Ace wasn’t too worried but he knew he had to step it up.
Shanks: Often shaking his head and smiling in amusement at the sight of Luffy on screen. Would sometimes watch the show with Ace as the two spoke fondly of him.
Big Mom: Was furious that Luffy was racking in more views than her crew combined. Everyone used to love Big Mom’s wedding cake special episodes.
“MUGIWARAAAAA!” *Smashes TV*
Garp: Nearly choked on his crackers at the sight of his crazy grandson invading his screen.
“LUFFY NOOOOOO!”
Smoker: If any marine soldier was caught watching, Keeping Up with the Straw Hats, you better believe that he’ll would be raised at HQ. in secret though, he would watch it. Not for entertainment, but more so to study the Straw Hats moves.
Buggy: Screeching out in jealously seeing Straw Hat Luffy was popular enough to be given his own show and not him.
Kid: Was sitting at a bar one night and spat out his drink in anger at the sight of Straw Hat on his screen.
Nearly popped a blood vessel when he saw Law on screen.
“The hell?! Even Trafalgar?! How come those bastards get their own show?!”
Killer remained silent. He knew the reason why the Kid Pirates never picked up the rights to a pirate reality show was because of how scary Kid was.
Dragon: Used the show as a way to keep up with his son. Although in secret, since he didn’t want his army to notice.
Germa 66: Mixed reactions.
“That’s no son of mine.” Judge would say.
Reiju giggled at the sight of the screen. After a mission, she would look forward to watching the show to see her brother.
Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji expressed annoyance and criticized Sanji. Although would never admit that they were each jealous that Sanji got to be on a reality show instead of the Germa Kingdom itself.
Yamato: Wants to be on the show. Not for the fame, but mainly to spread the word and tell the world what a horrible father, Kaido is and spread Oden’s legacy to the world.

Hey, I have an idea about how Crocodile could end up in Impel Down with Luffy involved with Alabasta.
I think in this case it could be that Crocodile ended up in jail because of the involvement of a corrupt marine who blamed him entirely for the Arabasta rebellion… Also, his children don't talk about Crocodile because they are angry at falling into said marine's trap…
The details of how it all happened are still to be polished, but the idea is that someone high-level (possibly Spandam, which would make it an entire operation with Cipher Pol members of some level lower than 7 in said kingdom) had the "proof" to implicate both the royal Falima (they wanted the Poneglyph) as well as Crocodile (they suspected he was harboring Nico Robin) in the civil war… All this ends with a confrontation similar to the one in canon, but with the shisibukai accepting full blame, along with his departure to Impel Dawn, of course knowing that Ivanko is there, so just a couple of months in his cell and he will disappear. on level 5.5 and then leave there with the okamas…
Also, this could mean that in Ernies Lobby, Luffy didn't just go to take him down for Robin, but because he knows (either from Arabasta or he finds out in the arc) that they were the ones who framed his mother…
This would also make Kite congratulate his older brother when he sees him later in Water 7.
Extra points if, in the Ernies Lobby plot, it's revealed that Robin is Dragon's unknown daughter, whom she had before meeting Crocodile, and no one (much less Dragon) knew that (she's the result of a forgotten night between Dragon and Nico Olivia)… let's give ASL an unknown Big Sister.
Also, it's funny that the government discovers Dragon's unknown daughter (and that no one knows anything about their relationship) and that they don't reveal either her husband or the army of children they have together.
Hello hello~
You could for sure write a fic with a premise like that! I’ve got something similar in mind for Stinky Child AU and I think the Mini-Mingo and Grumpy Verse is pretty much the same (maybe?? though it’s got sillier moments as well.)
I think the main issue with Alabasta and Crocodile’s plans and actions is that it feels unlikely that he would fight Luffy seriously or that he would one day decide to cause a devastating drought because he wants to get rid of Cobra and seize the country for himself. Could Crocodile do horrible things if it serves his purpose? Yeah, sure. Would Dragon love/ stay married to someone who causes suffering to millions of people? Nope. So we have to assume that Crocodile’s values and Dragon’s values are at least somewhat aligned for them to still be a couple. So no evil Alabasta take over plans. No nearly killing Luffy.
Which means that Alabasta needs some tweaks. And like you, I’ve thought about going the “the World Government started it” route. I don’t entirely like stripping Crocodile of his villainous streak, but there’s no way if Luffy came into Alabasta and decided that Crocodile had to be stopped, that Crocodile would be able to crush his own child (and his kid’s dreams) like that. So, WG wants to get rid of Cobra, make use of the conveniently placed Warlord Sir Crocodile to carry out their plans (they bring the dance powder into the country, expect Croc to use it to frame Cobra and let the civil war get rid of the Nefertari family, putting the country under WG approved rule) and have him take the fall if things go wrong (and then put him away on level 6 because he knows too much.)

Donquixote pirate luffy au. I'm going to push forward all of the Strawhat stuff about a year.
Luffy is about 14 when he meet Law, now as far as Doflamingo is aware Luffy told him that he might be a bit late because he ran into Law then he stopped reporting. Since he saved Luffy's life and Luffy had on multiple occasions proven to be deathly loyal to Mingo he just assumed Law killed him.
Luffy has a devil fruit that gives him the abilitys of a Persian hawk from mythology called Roc. It isn't just the zoan that gives it user a hawk form he can get really big.
Luffy meets Ace and Sabo and helps them get their memories back, so at least Dandan gets to be happy.
Anyway Dragon is debating telling Luffy that he's his dad or not.
Luffy is going to be apart of Ace's crew with the other Strawhats.
Luffy is wanted alive and has a pretty high bounty quickly because well he was trained by and betrayed Doflamingo.

The rose left unwatered Part 2 (Law x f!reader)
A/N : Hi there ~.~ Part 2 is ready ! I was so surprised with the nice feedback I got on part one, wow, I am so pleased. I will do my best for updating ;w; ! This chapter was nice to write, it follows the events of the Dressrosa arc (with modifications) so if you’re not there it might be a bit of a spoiler. I hope that you will enjoy this chapter and please let me know if you like it ! Part 1 Part 2 :
A few days have passed, normally, days passed without nothing exchanged but stealthy looks, as if that night never happened. You acted casually but you called him now by his first name, making sure to pronounce it in that peculiar way that is specific to you. Law was immersed in making plans so he didn't have much time to re-think about your interaction even though you were never too far, always in the corner of his visual field, always in some corner of his mind. By this time, Law's plan was going well, Doflamingo retired from being a Warlord and you were heading to Dressrosa. Once arrived, you split into teams, and when nobody expected it, you said quite casually ;
-Hmm...I'm actually bored so I'll go with Robin, Law and Usopp if that's okay.
-That's definitely not okay said Usopp, hiding behind Zoro* what if she betrays us ?!
You pinch the bridge of your nose and just add « Well...if I wanted to betray you guys, wouldn't it be safer for me to stay on the ship ? Also, It wouldn't be that hard for me to take you down if I really wanted to... » you said with a cocky smile
-Don't say such things Usopp ! Says Luffy with a pouty look, (Y/N) is our friend !
-Don't be mean to (Y/N)-chan ! Adds Sanji, hitting usopp with his fist.
Usopp gives in and you and the strawhats split into two groups, yours is charged of giving Ceaser to Doflamingo. You put on a venetian-carnaval looking mask to hide your identity. The mask was white with golden arabesques decorating it.
Law was surprised that you wanted to join them for the first time. Since you joined the strawhats as an unofficial member, you have never taken part in any kind of fighting, no one has ever seen you fight. Robin was curious about why you wanted to join, she had a little enigmatic smile, her eyes going from you to Law.
Once in Greenbit, you decided that you, Robin and Usopp would go explore the forest while Caesar and Law will stay further in case something happened. This is when you were all captured by Tontattas -the dwarves that lived in Greenbit- and stitched to the ground.
-Hey...(Y/N)...Why won't you use that « extraordinary power of yours » and save us ?!
-Hmm...Don't wanna, you said while yawning, stuck to the ground as well.
Usopp started crying in fear but then made up that story about being a descendant of Noland, the legendary explorers that Tontattas happened to worship. You then, or more like, Usopp and Robin decided to help the Tontattas to execute their plan to make some light on Dressrosa's secret ; the fact that Doflamingo was controlling everyone in the city and staying on the throne by using one of his family member's ability and turning everyone who tried to rebel into toys. You honestly weren't interested in this part of the plan, your thoughts were with the surgeon. Since the plan failed and Doflamingo only pretended to have retired from being a Warlord, you now knew that Law was in heavy waters ; having to face not only the Navy but also the Heavenly Demon. You wished that Law would just escape as you knew that Doflamingo can be pretty dangerous. The idea of him dying made the knot in your stomach grow. You didn't want him to die...Not now. You wanted to save him. You knew that only you could do it.
The DenDen Mushi started ringing suddenly and Usopp picked up. You were hanged up on the line, waiting for news about Law, expecting that he would be there with Luffy or the others. I really want to see him right now, you thought to yourself. A sharp sound was heard through the speaker ; a loud bullet noise followed by Luffy's voice
-Hey !!! Tra-o why are you fighting mingo ??!
-HEY ???! What was the gunshot ???? Did Doflamingo shoot Tra-o ?? Said Ussop, as if he was adding fuel to the fire that was burning your whole being.
Your heart almost skipped a beat, almost escaping from your ribs ; Law got hit by the bullet ? You heard screams of pain and you assumed the worse...You felt that monstrous pain. And then came the remorse, the poignant weight of « what ifs » ? of « what if I stayed with him ? » you could've done something for sure, you that were doomed with such devastating power. « Why did I even have a power if it's not to save people I care for ? » you were surprised, caring, you cared for him and you were ready to go there, to be there for him. Suddenly, you felt nothing as some tears were rolling down your cheeks, tears of sorrow, with nothing but nausea at the back of your throat. You let out a shriek that made everyone look at you with terror ;
-LAW ! You screamed...Wait for me I will....I will...save him I will...I will bring him back to life if I need to...
You took the denden mushi off Usopp's hands and screamed into the snail ;
-Leave Law to me ! I will be there in seconds.
- We are counting on you (Y/N) aded the captain
-(Y/N) said Robin, but that's basically impo-...
-Porta Ermetica ! As you rose your hand, a violet looking gate the same size of a door appeared. You set entered into it and it disappeared as it was never there. This transported you directly to the palace, where Law and Doflamingo were fighting. Trebol, one of Doflamingo's family was also there. You didn't pay attention to both of them, you jumped on Law's body holding him by the shoulders delicately, as if that touch would break him. He was all covered in blood and he has also lost an arm.
-Who do we have here ? Another brat ? We don't have time to waste with y'all ! - Said Trébol.
You looked back at him with such anger in your eyes, your conqueror haki was so strong that it made Trébol collapse at Doflamingo's feet. That was the extent of your ability. A terrifiant ability that you didn't have the control of.
Doflamingo looked at you in both awe and bloody anger, how dare you ? On the other hand, he felt that your presence was very familiar, bingo, how could he forget the scent of an old lover ? He didn't take you lightly at all. He was curious as why you were there, but also careful.
During this time, Law was really taken aback, he never thought that you had this kind of power, and above all, conqueror haki. His mind was blurry after fighting restlessly against the heavenly demon. He started to understand your high bounty and why you were so hesitating to fight...
But so much more was left unanswered and so much more was left unsaid. He couldn't help but feel a mixture of shame and relief, why were you fighting for him ? You that hated fighting so much. But seeing him in that state, coming to save him, it didn't please his ego and he cursed you inside for it.
-(Y/N)-ya..Why are you here ?!
You looked at him with nothing but tenderness in your eyes, putting your finger on his lips
-Shh..You're injured....We will talk later.
Doflamingo was looking at this scene, puzzled yet amused, seeing how you got fragile at the sight of the surgeon. He then started laughing in his usual evil laugh as he looked closely at you, recognizing you. How could he not ? You both shared the same story. You both knew the government's hidden secret, their hidden trasure that could shake the whole world if it came to be known. Except that he got the government in the palm of his hand because of his bloodline, and that you were tracked and targeted because of it. He knew the kind of powers you had, he knew and it made a shiver of excitement shake his body. Raw power, untamed power.
-Fufufu~ My, my, isn't it (Y/N)-chan ? Long time no see...
-Doflamingo...I have no intention of fighting you...You know very well what I'm capable of...I'm just here to get him back. You said as you pointed to Law with a movement of your chin.
Doflamingo got closer, holding the gun in his arm. You stood up to face him and took off your mask, your eyes met his. Your eyebrows were frowned and you were boiling up with anger. You only had one desire ; to punch him, but you wanted to get out of here as fast as you could.
-Come on, don't frown this much...It will make you age prematurly. He gets close from your face putting two fingers on your eyebrows. He wasn't scared of you, he knew your « peaceful » temperament and he knew how to pull your strings. You slap his hand away and say in a firm tone, wanting to end this as soon as possible ;
-So, here is the deal, I take Law and I go away...And I won't interfere with your...little business. End of the deal. You say, pointing to the birdcage that is closing around the island.
Doflamingo looks at you with a half-moon smile then answers ;
-Why are you in a hurry ? Don't you want to remember the nice old days ? I have so many questions for you, my dear (Y/N)
-We don't have anything to talk about ! Also we both know that we don't want to fight.
-I was a little bit surprised to see you here...he says, ignoring your words...Really surprised. I was looking for you for quite a while, and all this time you were with the strawhats ? Why them ? Why, when I asked you to join me. With my power and yours we could destroy the world government. Listen to me, I know that we both know their little secret, if we join our powers we will...
-Enough...Enough Doffy. I will never ally myself with someone who shares your blood !
-But that didn't seem to bother you...Back in the days. He said, teasing, his voice getting lower, two fingers holding your chin up.
-I don't care about the past. I don't want to follow your path. I am an enemy of the gods as well. I will follow their will. You then took a step back.
The veins on his forehead became prominent as he felt blood pump into his veins. He clenched his fist and added
-Again ? Don't tell me you believe in such fairy tales as well ? What is up with the « D » ? Look at him very well (Y/ N)...He is one of yours too, is that why you try to save him so badly ? What did he do with that measly name of his ?
-(Y/N)-ya !! Law screamed, shocked by this amount of revelations in such a little time, this has nothing to do with you just....Just go away !
You were surprised, Law was...he was a D as well ? He didn't tell you though...At this moment,
At this very moment, you heard quite a big crash coming from down your feet. It was Luffy who had beaten Bellamy and came to fight Doflamingo. You looked down and said ;
-Luffy...I'll leave it to you from here.
-(Y/N) ! Sure ! I'm going to kick Mingo's ass.
-Do you know where the others are ?
-They're there, at the top of the hill.
You then turned to Law and he was still processing your interaction with the heavenly demon. You then got down to where he was sitting and said ;
-I am sorry but..I think that I will have to carry you.
-...
At this point, Law wasn't able to say anything or to protest. What was there to say ? This movement alone was what hurt his ego most, but he remained silent, nothing, not a single word out of his blood-covered lips. You bent down and held him firmly as if you were carrying a princess. The funny scene made Luffy laugh from afar but the murderer look from Law's face made him stop and focus on his fight. You were shaking a bit, his blood pearling on your arms, on your dress, on you. You didn't lock eyes oh no, you weren't brave enough, as if those dim eyes would have petrified you if you looked in them.
You murmured a spell and the purple dimension appeared again. It seemed as if it swallowed you both as you stepped inside of it.
You carried Law tight in your arms and your heart was throbbing inside of your chest. Fuck, you thought, you felt weak, you got weak, you that has sworn to yourself not to bend down, not to get emotional, not to get attached. But you have grown attached to the straw hats and now to the Surgeon. Why did you care if he died ? So what if he died ? So what if you would never ever see him around on the Sunny go ? So what if you never heard his low voice calling your name ? So what if you never ever got to feel his voice deep in your ears and his hands on your body ? You chrugged, keeping him closer to you, not wanting to let go of him. He seemed to have lost consciousness from his blood loss and for that moment you were a bit thankful that you didn't have to face his eyes. What would you say to him ? Hell, you didn't even know how to justify this to yourself.
You bring him to the top of the hill where the others were. Meanwhile, Robin and Usopp have accomplished their mission and returned all the toys into humans. There were also some people that you didn't know but you didn't care, all you cared about was Law. Robin came closer to you, worried.
« -(Y/N). What happened to Law ? My, his arm...I wonder if he will lose all his blood and die. »
Robin's words worried you, Robin always had such a pessimistic way of expressing herself and in other situations you would've laughed but you were in no mood to laugh. You looked quite worried bending down and looking closely. You felt so exhausted and confused, you would've preferred staying on the ship. You suddenly felt nausea and faint, fingers shaking, vision blurry. « I just want everyone to be alright...I want him to be okay... » you softly murmured before loosing the last fine thread that connected you to consciousness. Suddenly, your body felt as light as foam, your eyelids as heavy as moutains and you fell into the soft embrace of unconsciousness.

The Voyage So Far: Dressrosa (Part One)
east blue (1 | 2) || alabasta (1 | 2) || skypiea || water 7 || enies lobby || thriller bark || paramount war (1 | 2) || fishman island || punk hazard || dressrosa (1 | 2) || whole cake island || wano (1 | 2)

fujitora’s introduction is so memorable. we don’t even know he’s an admiral until a little while after this, but the way he’s introduced makes him both immediately intriguing and tentatively likable, and also shows he’s terrifyingly powerful. similar to wano, dressrosa is a very twisty arc with a lot of hidden identities and things and people that are not what they seem, and fujitora’s introduction establishes that right off the bat.

it’s no secret i really like law, and i think his relationships and dynamics with the strawhats are some of the reasons why. it’s very good. the way he usually interacts with them (read: suffering) contrasts against the very real respect and faith he develops for them, and for luffy in particular. he refuses to call luffy his subordinate, here, even though it would be basically a get-out-of-jail free card when it comes to dealing with fujitora, and it comes up again more than once later in this arc too (though never to the strawhats themselves).

genuinely the tournament subplot is one of my favorite parts of this entire arc, especially because it happens while the action in the rest of dressrosa is mostly still setting up. it’s so fun to watch luffy go completely ham with minimal consequences, especially because we know more or less from the beginning that he’s not really likely to face a challenge from anyone here.
it allows the supporting cast to be built out as a pretty entertaining group in their own right, too, especially bartolomeo and cavendish, and sets up most of the future grand fleet without being too obvious about it.

i may as well say now, because i’m sure i’ll be talking about it a lot: kyros is one of my favorite one piece parents, and his and rebecca’s relationship hits me in the fucking chest. i’m consistently upset that they got so much stolen from them, and very very glad that they got the happy ending they dearly deserved.

i really like rebecca. and i like her story, too. i know there are people who want her to be more of a fighter, more violent, but i think that’s missing the point. rebecca is someone who has been victimized and commodified and put on display to die in front of a country that hates her again and again and again, and she still stays gentle and good, and i think that makes her one of the strongest characters in this arc.
obviously in isolation ‘damsel in distress’ is not really a good trope (and i’ve complained about it before with regards to tashigi in punk hazard), but i also don’t think it’s really at play here. rebecca is someone who deserves to finally lay down her sword and rest and be happy and safe, and her father deserves the chance to give her the protection he hasn’t been able to.

i really like when oda does things like this with paneling, i think it’s tremendously cool. there’s some similar examples with law’s powers in this arc and punk hazard as well, and it’s cool as hell every time.

this is one of my favorite panels in all of dressrosa.
kyros has a line a lot later on about ‘restoring the true dressrosa,’ and that’s what this scene makes me think of. this is the true dressrosa- the broken and forgotten and lost, down in the darkness beneath the city. and no matter what he may think of himself, riku is still their king.
this panel also reminds me of the similar scene in udon in wano, where the prisoners kneel before momonosuke. which is, incidentally, another favorite of mine. i really like whenever one piece deals in themes of loyalty, i feel like it always hits very hard.

[spoilers for recent wano chapters]
i think some parts of dressrosa line up very nicely with the recent reveal in wano that law’s new goal is uncovering the mystery of the will of d. it’s something that feels very natural and fitting for him, and i think this is one of the reasons why.
of the Ds we’ve seen, law is the only one who’s been really shown to be actively aware of the name and the weight it holds (and thus, the only one to bother to keep it secret), and he even weaponizes it against doflamingo throughout dressrosa in order to throw him off balance, and succeeds. it feels like a very natural progression from that awareness to trying to understand its mystery, at least to me.

barto is a great character because he’s introduced as being a completely unlikable shithead, and like, that’s not inaccurate, he totally is, but he also somehow winds up being likable anyways. part of that is his idolization of the strawhats (because, let’s be real, all of us can relate), but part of it is also that he’s kind of honorable in his own way, and i think him saving bellamy from dellinger despite having no stake in the situation just because they fought together is probably the best example of that.

i really like how the sabo reveal is handled. all the focus is placed on luffy and his reaction, and then we get our actual introduction to sabo as an adult slowly over the course of the next few chapters in how he acts and interacts with other characters throughout the tournament, culminating in his proper introduction after it’s over.
the actual explanation of what happened to him, how he survived and the entirety of his reunion with luffy is saved for the end of the arc, and i think it’s good that it happens there, in a quiet time after the dust is settled, rather than being smacked in the middle of the rising action.

of all the many many devil fruits that have appeared in one piece, i think sugar’s is the scariest, and also one of the ones i’ve probably thought the most about, if only in terms of its sheer inherent horror. the moment her spell is broken is, in my opinion, one of the most satisfying in the entire story. doflamingo’s hold over the entire country snaps, just like that.

the entire sequence of dressrosa’s great panic is one of my favorites in the whole series. i’m a really big fan of moments where the tides are all at once turned, and this is so very much one of those- sugar is knocked out; all the toys revert to human all at once, including kyros, who promptly decapitates (unfortunately not the real) doflamingo; sabo wins the tournament, eats the mera mera no mi, and obliterates the colosseum; and usopp becomes god.
it’s really really good.

even though this is a fake doflamingo it is very satisfying to see him get wrecked, and even though i love the outcome of the luffy and law versus mingo and trebol fight i do think kyros deserved to decapitate the real thing also.

usopp’s role and development in dressrosa is really great. it’s the most focus he’s gotten since water seven/enies lobby, and it comes at a time right when he’d been in the background for a rather long time. in dressrosa, he gets to be a proper hero- he indisputably saves the entire day not once but twice, and even doflamingo recognizes him as by far the biggest wrench in his plans- and more importantly, he gets to do it for the first time as himself, instead of having to hide behind a mask, as he did at both thriller bark and enies lobby.

the way a lot of the fight panels with doflamingo specifically are drawn is very cool, i think. there’s a real sense of speed and danger to a lot of them, which makes sense, as doflamingo is a very dangerous opponent fully capable of slicing off limbs and heads with ease if his enemies make a wrong move, something both the characters and the audience are fully aware of by this point.

to be continued in the next post with the rest of dressrosa!

How Evil Are The Villains of One Piece? - One Piece Discussion | Tekking101
comments on youtube :
The fact that Blackbeard was fine with passing 40 years of his life being almost nobody until he found what he was looking for makes him the most terrifying villain in One Piece. He didn’t chase fame or notoriety. They came for him. It gives him that subtle cosmic protection that Luffy has had throughout the series. A strong candidate for Pirate King True, the absolute resolve to just WAIT for that long, plotting and scheming till your plan can be put into motion at the perfect moment? That dedication means he has an extremely strong will and will do whatever it takes For Akainu I think Danzō Shimura from Naruto: A military man who crosses all the established lines of the organization in which he works, to protect said organization? And even he has the opportunity to take on the most important position to continue his work? Yes, I think 10/10 Danzō Shimura
I’d like to think Eren Yeager walks into the villain party just like “shoot my bad, I got an invite to this address but it must be a mix up..” and everyone there is like “haha! The new guy’s hilarious, you’re definitely one of us Eren!”
Just like “haha! You murdered most of the world’s population, you’re DEFINITELY one of us! Hahaha!!” most is a slight understatement. Ghenghis Khan wiped out 10% of humanity, Nazis are in the nearing 1% range with all that Russian blood added to the Pyre. Conquistadors if we're including unintentionally spreading viruses, about 2.5% for their era. 80% Eren is legit extinction level event. And that's just the humans, he wiped out all life from Trees to livestock to basically everything that wasn't a bird. I mean did the Titans trample every whale on their March? I can't see most of them surviving.Show less
the difference between 50.1% and 80% is pretty large. In politics 51% is believable for a majority, 80% is authoritarian rigged election. You could argue if Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate Zero took the holy Grail deal he killed most of humanity, but uh killing everyone but like 3 people warrants a little more than the "Most" categorization.Show less
Doflamingo: "i shot my dad in the back as a kid." Eren: "That's cute i ate mine as a kid." Mingo: ... "wait what ?" Eren: "You heard me." As a comparison to Akainu: Pain from Naruto. Pain was also chasing his ideal for a peaceful world with an iron fist with the Bijuu, and Akainu gives me a bit of those vibes. I would give Akainu a solid 8/10 Pains tho, because he has no "solution" to the state of the world here, he just wants to exterminate what he thinks is evil. doffy killed his father because his action lead to the death of his mother and getting torture and crucified by a mob" there, i fixed it bruv ;)
