I know, Aeor strong presence in Rivendell is what kept Xornoth presence weak on her visit, and Shrub may have warn Scott both to keep her cover, and by normal Shrub being deep inside there somewhere.

So, my question went more to the side of some interpretation I had with that, corrupted Shrub in that moment acted completely by herself, and her attempts to cover up Xornoth's influence over her, is also a way to prepare to betray him too, when the correct time comes around.

I also think this, because, unlike Sausage who was only corrupted, Shrub is being actively possesed by Xornoth, and I personally think, that could have a bigger impact on her normal persona than just being corrupted.

That's a good point actually.

Obviously she does have a much bigger connection and a different impact on how she's corrupted.

I'm not sure if corrupted Shrub would betray him, but she could definitely go rogue now that I think about it. If he didn't need her body anymore, she could definitely take that freedom to spread the whole death destruction and corruption in her own way.

Huh. Definitely gives me some ideas that I hopefully won't forget about

(but I know me. And yes. I will forget. I'm going to go try to write them down. As well as write another part.)
