Wish I didn't stay up so late bc im gonna get... not a lot of sleep now,, but I got almost all of my math methods hw done! Ya win some, ya lose some I guess lol :,)

Goals for tomorrow:

one thing i was hoping to learn during my post-bac but never really got around to was spike sorting. in my neural engineering class, i'm finally learning how to do that!

although i don't plan on collecting neural data at this level, i do hope to collect LFPs as part of my research so learning this signal processing in general is going to be extremely helpful. so far, i've determined my threshold and plotted the threshold line within the data. the hard part is everything that comes next of template matching, principal component analysis (PCA), and all the like. after not really using MATLAB in yeeears, this has been an adventure but i'm surprised at how much i've been able to recall and proud of myself for having no shame in googling MATLAB functions lol. i know i can figure this out, i'm smart(ish).

this hw is due feb 7th (with possibility of an extension if other people in the class take a while) so time to get her done. ft my pupper knocked out on the floor

i have to make a MATLAB open ended lab, and my options for methods to use are newton method *numerical differentiation* lagrange interpolation, curvefitting and bisection method. i wanna do something f1 related but idk what to do. pls drop some ideas, everybody.

my first idea was to predict (using extrapolation *lagrangian*) what lap to pit on, based on your driver's laptimes from pratice sessions, and those of the rival driver's.

my second was to predict, in a season with two or three contenders until the last race, at 3/4 of the season, who the champion would be at the final race, using curvefitting and lagrange, and compare the two to the actual results of that given season, and discuss which is more accurate.

i need your help, tumblrinas!!! give me ideas.

What a shit day🙃 I already had more than enough things to do today, since last week I was at the conference and I have a meeting with my supervisor tomorrow, but the I discovered an error in some code I am using that is not mine and now I have to redo so many things and it takes so much time and is 7:30pm and I have no idea when I’ll finish but I just want go home

Matlab animation for linear algebra. With the exception of a vertical shear and morph, every basic transformation is represented.

Matlab Game Engine Devlog

8/14/2024:

Defined the uitextfield and its callback in the START function instead of in the GameLoop

Defined Window.UserData and used waitfor() function to make the GameLoop wait until Enter key is pressed and input is received. 

Notes: It currently only takes text inputs. In the future, if I want it to take arrow key inputs or mouse click or anything else, I will have to define new callbacks.

Today is mostly running code, so that I can do the needed analysis.

I also need to start working on a presentation, but I am without ideas for the slides tbh
