I was bored a while back and made the MLB characters using the Black OC maker on Picrew

Miraculous Ladybug Magical Girl Fashion Review -Part 1

Preamble

Ok, so. What do you people generally think of as a "superhero outfit"? Spandex, right? Tight-skinned, uninterrupted spandex covering almost all the body, or at least not straying away from the body line if you're a girl and only get a swimsuit. Maybe a cape (hood optional) depending on how dramatic you are to add some flow or, if you're a woman, your hairstyle will do that job. Otherwise you can have some form of helmet or headpiece to distinguish yourself, and that's it. That's the extent of options you have. If you're extremely lucky, they might allow you to wear a jacket.

While this description might be a bit of an exaggeration (not by much, though) I think we can all agree that this is a very restrictive set of rules to work with. It's very hard to make something that completely contours to the body visually compelling. It's hard to distribute colors and shapes and patterns in a neat way that makes you stand out when you have to compete with thousands of millions of characters with the same 3 allowed bodytypes (lean, broad, or Woman™️). Which is why we should clap even more at designs like the DC holy trinity and especially Spiderman, who not only has a fantastic design in spite of how alienating it should be, but whose look is also currently inspiring thousands of artists to make their own variations, technically also including today's very own Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

This is all a very lengthy way to say that some of the MLB people wear their fursuits better than the rest. Skin-tight onesies with fur patterns are not something everyone can pull off. Doubly so with how inconsistent the art direction in the show is, with everyone in the cast reaching different levels of uncanny valley and swagless drip. I personally think that many of them would do better if they thought a bit outside that box of "standard superhero fashion" and went for something more specific to the personalities of the characters, but there are some winners amongst the rabble. Much like the writing of the show itself, the show's design averages into a trashy sludge pile that still manages to look tempting thanks to some unexpected moments of competence. Let's sort through the pile *cracks knuckles*

Ladybug (standard and ultimate version)

You'd think it would be easy for me to just say "yeah, the bland, near fully uninterrupted polkadot bodypaint onesie is both boring and silly and the other more balanced version is a LOT better by comparison" and leave it at that, but unfortunately I also have to talk about the hairstyle. And the hairstyle is wrong in a very specific way which I don't have concise terms for, so I need you to pay attention and stay with me here.

The pigtails work well for Marinette. They are distinct, practical, realistic enough while bordering just slightly on the fantastic, and their mild childishness enhances Mari's romantic nature. In theory they also match the polka-dot theme and they are not impractical considering the function of Ladybug's suit, but they still go against what it's trying to do. There's probably a concrete term in shape and action line theory that better educated people than me know about, but to give you the gist of what I mean I'm gonna do another Shitty Paint Edit™️ so I don't go in too many circles explaining myself:

Ok, you get what I'm trying to say here now? The pigtails match the balance of this specific pose, but the suit is too skin-tight and it highlights Marinette's neck, so they interrupt the buildup. They don't even work well as pieces of flow for contrast, because the hair is so stiff and the ribbons are barely noticeable. Compare to itsanarkee's cosplay and how much better she looks because she has an updo. The worst part of it all is that, usually, matching a body-paint suit with a hairstyle to provide contrast in a female superhero is, like, babyshit, the bread and butter of superheroine costumes, but Astruc managed to find the one hairstyle in the world to make it work wrong because he was to proud about Marinette's design to change anything. Just give her the fucking buns already.

Chat Noir

He serves cunt. Pops pussy, if you will. The only very mild itch it gives me is that I can't see what his ears are attached to and it bothers me, although he's not the only one with that feature and I understand why they would want to hide a hair band especially in his design. I can forgive that when everything else in this design is genius. The belt tail. The way his mask sharpens his features alongside the hair and ears. The flaps on his boots and gloves that highlight how his movements put more weight in his joints. The acrylic claws, the paws on his boots. The lines that highlight his figure in just the right way. The fucking bell. Chat is easily the best design amongst the heroes.

And while this my purely subjective interpretation, I truly do think it's understated how much this outfit manages to sell Adrien's clark kenting. It makes complete and perfect sense to me at least that Marinette wouldn't recognize him like this. Adrien is just slightly generically pretty enough that you wouldn't assume they are the same person just because they're both blonde bishies, and the contrast between the two personas is high enough that it could be realistic that some people wouldn't put them together if they are not looking for that connection. Doubly so for Marinette, who is way too enamored with Adrien's personality of generic un-disruptive niceness with a touch of rich boy angst to fully reconcile it with Chat's outright spicier demeanor lightened with Pathetic Wet Beast Energy for potability.

Rena Rogue vs Volpina

Yeah, this one merits a comparison. It's a perfect example to elaborate on my first rule. Lila already stands out as another of the best human designs amongst the cast, and the sleaze she exudes lends itself a lot better to this slick body-paint tightness and form-highlighting curves. The tail-sash around her waist is also brilliant. She'd probably look even better in something more grounded, but the fact that she's already pulling the outfit off like this is still an accomplishment.

Rena Rogue on the other hand... well, everything around her head is very good and cute, and I especially appreciate the eyebrows on her mask. On paper I also like the top with its longtail, but overall Alya looks a lot blander than Volpina, because her outfit doesn't reflect her personality the way it does Lila's. It's not ugly, even if the patch of white starts to bother me because it has no interruptions as it goes down. In fact it succeeds in making Rena look kind of adorable, really, but Alya is not a cutesy girl, and tbh the overall general texture of the outfit is a lot more body spray-painting-ish than Volpina's, which also makes it look cheaper in a bad way.

The Fox miraculous may be summarized as the power of Illusion, but both girls represent two facets elaborating on that concept: where Lila is the Fox as Deceit, Alya is the Fox as Cleverness. So Lila may be... smart manipulative -Ok, sincerely speaking Lila Rossi is the single most blatant Villain Sue I have ever seen put onscreen, but what I'm trying to get at is that while she -supposedly- has some cunning, her pettiness and eagerness to speak on the fly is -or rather should be- a contrast to Alya, who goes around sniffing for the truth and thus always has a fuller picture. Because remember: the best liars tell the truth. So Rena's outfit should reflect that. It should be less slick and more street-savvy, something that the pendant with its long chain is especially well suited to.

Speaking of all these thematic parallels, am I the only one in the fandom who is extremely weirded out that Lila isn't a rival to Alya? Like, aren't they extremely obvious foils beyond both of them being fox-themed? The girl who bases her clout on lies vs the one who searches for the truth? The girl who pretends to be friends with Ladybug while bullying her civilian identity vs the girl who is friends with both? Have the writers ever exploited this ever since I stopped watching?

Carapace

Nino is almost perfect. I am genuinely impressed at how well they chose the angle of this costume. It's so easy for me to imagine a much shittier version with an ugly cowl/spiderman wannabe facemask -because other characters in this series take that approach-, but taking a page out of spider-gwen's book instead paid amazing dividends. He looks great as teenage not-mutant ninja turtle.

He only has two significant faults. One is that I feel his goggles should be tinted opaque orange, and he should wear a mask over his mouth and nose. You know, make the clark kenting a little easier, the stealth more pointed, maybe he can have a cool graffiti of a turtle beak over the mask for a sprinkle of his actual personality. The second is that the partition he chose for his crotch area is a bit iffy and yes, I am very sorry to talk about this. The shape of the partition itself is not bad but it's the same color, so it doesn't actually help the transition all that much and instead, sadly, it only brings more attention to the middle. My suggestion is that he should take a page out of Rise of the TMNT's book and make the plastron into actual armor that goes from his chest to his navel, instead of just a logo on the front. Then he can either wear black shorts or he can go the Rise!Casey Jones route and wear pants that are slightly baggy but still cinch to his ankles.

Then there's only one last thing he needs to be completely perfect and that is having an actual relationship with Master Fu since he is the direct successor of his miraculous and one of the first characters to be akumatized on account of his resentment towards adults, so I feel like there's a whole bunch of narrative foiling potential not being explored there, you get me?

Queen Bee vs Vesperia

Zoe's face is more interesting and I appreciate that, as well as the design team giving her a braid, but Chloe still wins this one. Vesperia's outfit is reasonably cool on its own, but it does very little aesthetically for her. Perhaps if the colors of her top and pants were inverted it could work, but there's something about the aggressive sharpness of its lines that Zoe's bubbly face is not matching, made worse by the black being at the forefront. That might not be a problem in civilian outfit, but only because that look is balanced with other colors. Or rather, I think she also needs a more casual fit to pull it off instead of a skin-tight jacket. I also get what they're trying to do with her bangs and I would love it were it not for the fact that it doesn't look good in this artstyle. Chloe also has that problem with her hair, but Queen Bee's style fits her a lot better in a much obvious way, and for added points I think Queen Bee wears the cord as a belt better too., so congrats to Chloe on her one win, I do hope the writing allows her to have proper character development later instead of constantly resetting her to square one for conflict.

For now it’s all blurry and it’s not a fact that I will work with it, but still. I already have Marinette and Adrien designs, but since this is a swap then colors from Mr. Bug and Lady Noir are added to their colors.I think it turned out well.(Also, their colors were made on line, not mine)

Adrian already has a chain of names that is indicated in the picture, but I’m thinking about Mari.By the way, she will be a domestic cat.

To Feel Alive Again: Day 1: Autumn

A chill breeze whispered through the street, nipping at the edges of exposed skin peeking out from coats and scarves.  Marinette pulled her own coat – a lumpy, gray thing she had lifted off a reap a few weeks back – and tried not to scowl.

She used to love this time of year.  Before.

The changing of the seasons meant a new wardrobe.  Layers of material, vibrant splashes of color, boots and hats and scarves – so many accessories.  She used to have the cutest peacoat, made from a deep burgundy wool that always kept her warm on the coldest fall days.  She had embroidered a swirl of leaves around the hem in a rich gold thread, and she had even found golden buttons shaped like maple leaves to line the front.  She had been so proud of that coat.  She’d lived in it every fall for years.

…she hadn’t died in it, though.

She’d died in the spring.

When it was too warm for such a heavy coat.

She supposed it was funny, in a way.  Before, the fall – a season marked by death – had always brought a new life to her, but the spring – the season for life and renewal – had brought with it her death.

Now she saw it everywhere.

It was hard to love things anymore.  In the After.

“You’re still allowed to love things,” Théo had said, not unkindly, one morning over breakfast.  It was a rare moment of seriousness for him, and if she hadn’t been in such a foul mood she might have appreciated it.  Instead, she hunkered down deeper in the gray coat she hated and stared – glared – out the window.  She hummed, not really agreeing or disagreeing.  She didn’t see the way Luka glanced up at her from his coffee, a small frown playing at the edges of his mouth.

She did see the large, chunky sweater folded on the foot of her bed when she came home a week later, though.

“…Fred, what…did you leave this here?” she called, her hands trembling as she held the sweater up.  It was obviously handmade – not as good as she could make, but absolutely perfect in its little imperfections.  The stitches pulled just a little too tight or a little too loose, the slightly uneven ribbing along the neck, the braiding that hadn’t been blocked properly zigzagging down the front…it spoke of time, and care, and things Marinette hadn’t let herself think about in far too long.  And it was soft, the yarn used to make it obviously high quality.  She knew just how much a sweater like this would cost – more than she could dream of affording these days, when she was still struggling to hold down an after-death job.

“Hmm?” Fred called, popping his head in the room.  When he saw the sweater, his eyebrows lifted.  “Ah, that?  No, it wasn’t me.  Luka dropped it off while you were out.  Said something about pink suiting you?”

Marinette’s head jerked up, surprised, but Fred was just smiling at you.

“You’re still allowed to love things, Marinette,” he said, inclining his head towards her.  “You’re still allowed to feel.”

She looked back at the sweater, her lips pursed and her eyes burning with tears she refused to shed, and didn’t answer.  Fred sighed and flipped his hat onto his head, nodding at her.

“I’m off,” he said, tipping his hat at her.  “Make sure you eat tonight, kid, all right?

…he probably hadn’t meant a mug of hot chocolate and a plate of macarons, but as she hunkered down in the nicest sweater she had ever worn and watched her old favorite sappy movie on the cracked tv…well.

At least when you’re dead you don’t have to worry about calories.

what do you envision house husband carlos is doing after retiring in Swing For The Fences

I think he takes a year off from baseball altogether. He goes to TK’s games, and he’ll watch a handful of Ranger’s games with his dad when they’re on tv, (or Yankees games when Owen comes to visit) but aside from that he pushes it away.

He spends a lot of time with his parents and his nieces and nephews, making up for lost time. He fixes things around the ranch and repaints the loft half a dozen times and it’s clear to everyone he’s getting restless because he still loves baseball, maybe even more now that he’s away from it.

He takes a coaching job at UT. The hours are long, and there’s still travel involved and his and TK’s schedules never line up perfectly, but he doesn’t think they ever will. They make it work. At least until the kids come along.

Then he’s terrified of missing first steps or words while he’s on the road. TK tells him during a late night feeding, each of them with a baby in their arms, that they’ll all love him and support him no matter what. He decides to take a coaching job at a local high school instead. The team is not very good, at least not when he gets there, but the road games are only an hour away by bus, and he gets to sleep in his own bed every night, his kids on the other side of the wall, and, on really good weeks, with TK in his arms.

Eventually, the loft starts to get cramped. The kids are growing and TK’s thinking about retirement and low key starting to spiral about what he’s going to do to support the family. Even though Carlos still has his MLB money and continues to make a decent wage at the high school. TK’s antsy and nervous and Carlos doesn’t know how to fix that, he doesn’t know how to fix any of it. But there’s this plot of land not far from his parents ranch with a farmhouse on it that needs some serious work but he knows could be beautiful someday. In his mind, he thinks this is a good distraction, and that TK will accept it graciously.

What actually happens is the silent treatment for a solid week which is only resolved after Andrea and Gabriel take the kids for the night so TK and Carlos can finally have it out, loudly, and then make up, loudly. In bed, naked and still sweaty, TK rolls back on top and takes Carlos’ face in his hands. He tells him to never do anything like that without talking to him first again, and that the twins will be picking the paint colors for their rooms, no matter how ugly or extreme they are.

The house comes together slowly. They have a lot of help. Andrea and Gabriel, his sisters, all of Carlos’ uncles and brother in laws, Owen (who has been in Austin for a while now) Judd (who’s the coach at a rival high school) and Grace.

Carlos loves having his whole family come together like that, but his favorite moments are after everyone has gone home and it’s just him and TK, the kids asleep in what will be the living room, on the air mattress they set up when they know it’s going to be a long day, painting trim or discussing if they should install crown moulding in the dining room. Carlos will put the paintbrush down, or end the conversation with a kiss that TK will hum into and quickly deepen. Carlos will tell him that he still can’t believe he gets to have this, and he can’t believe how much he loves TK and the kids. TK will laugh softly, and kiss him again, before he promises that they all love him just as much.

Moriarty Blight slouched back in his seat like a king, the small round chair turned in to face his co-host's. In every sense, they were the perfect pair of opposites: Blight's slick monochrome suit to contrast Boon's colorful dress, his gaunt pale face and bony limbs, her round rosy cheeks and apple-like figure. The network said their visual differences were the most important draw, and that the chemistry would come later, and they were right. The network was always right.

"I say, Victoria, last night's episode was quite the excitement!" Blight grinned, grasping his capacitor microphone like a glass of wine. "The elimination has never been so hard, and we've still got 14 contestants to go before we reach the Ultimate Finale!"

"You're too right, Blight!" she said, with the same cadence she always used—Reliability drove ratings, after all. "But it'll all be worth it for this year's shining star to prove they've got what it takes!"

Blight smirked to the live audience, adding "And you can't make a star without frying the duds with a few extra vats of boiling oil, now can you?"

That was a callback to Aurore's televised sendoff, and the mob roared in response. Blight had a sense for when viewership spiked—a trait he'd gleaned from years of running this show—and every surge felt like a line of Pearl Dust shot through his veins. Victoria pretended to be mildly irritated by his humor, as that was part of the script.

"Now, to fill in our newest watchers, we'll be going over the remaining contestants, starting with our two brightest—The Lucky Darling herself, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and Mr. Heartstopper Adrien Agreste!"

Adrien's head buzzed as it hit the concrete wall.

"I go through all this goddamn trouble for you and I hear you're planning on requesting a new manager?"

Mr. Grassette's hands could've torn through Adrien's costume... and as far as Adrien himself cared, he wished Mr. Grassette would. Then he'd at least have a few more hours before being shoved back on stage again, forced through the motions as the screams of fans rained down on him like gunfire. Backstage was cold and dreadful and sterile, but it was a lesser hell, and he was at least guaranteed the mercy of being allowed to wear modest clothing.

"And what if I am?!"

Bad decision. Mr. Grassette then slammed Adrien into the nearest dresser, one holding previous costumes and rolls of fabric. As the dresser rocked forward from the force, it vomited out a burst of white tulle, as if it was ripped open to expose all of the textile guts and viscera underneath. Adrien tried to grip onto the lip of the dresser to steady himself, but his hands were too clammy and weak, so nothing stuck.

"I can make or break you, boy!" Mr. Grassette screamed back. "Do you really think being flayed live on TV is the worst thing that can happen to you? I'll buy your ticket back out of this game, and then I'll be free to make back every dollar I spent on your ass by selling your body! You'll be nothing but a whore for the rest of your miserable little life! Is that what you fucking want?"

Adrien wished that wasn't true. He wished his parents hadn't signed off his rights for the sake of this circus of torture. Emilie Agreste had been famous enough as it was. What was it all for? To prove an Agreste could win again? To make him understand what it meant to tear yourself apart for a fortune?

"No! No, please!" Adrien started to claw at his manager's hands, watching his cold blue eyes fade behind opaque glasses. "You can't— No, don't–"

"Then you get out there, and you sing, and you don't fucking complain. Ever."

Adrien nodded, biting back tears. He'd never see anyone he loved ever again if he didn't. He'd never get to go back home. He had to see it through, he had to win.

When Mr. Grassette finally left the room, Adrien poured himself a shot glass. The taste was poisonous, and he swore the network laced everything the contestants could eat with Pearl Dust… But he needed it anyways. He'd given up on getting himself hospitalized with it, as all it earned him was a dependency; But it helped him work up the nerve to sing. The nerve to survive.

How Black athletes are negatively Represented and mistreated by the media.

Black athletes both men and women, have been negatively represented and mistreated by the media for as long as people of color have been able to play sports without segregation. From Football, soccer, tennis and baseball just to name a few  black athletes have been victims from the media. My first example of this is when Jackie Robison became the first African American to play in the MLB in the modern era. This was in 1947 which was before the Civil rights movement. Robison had faced many death threats to his family and to himself and was even threatened by opposing teams just based on skin color. According to Andscape.com “Baseball writers were far more comfortable dressing up in blackface and speaking in black dialect during their skits at their annual banquet than in writing about racism. They used racial pejoratives and stereotypes in print and in conversation. Shirley Povich, who was one of the relatively few mainstream sportswriters who advocated for blacks in baseball, was asked why so few white sportswriters called for the end of the color line. “I’m afraid the sportswriters were like the club owners,” he said. “They thought separate was better.” Obviously in today's world we have moved past segregation in sports and as a country but I think this is a great example to start with to show that this has been around for a while. 

In 2018 Lebron James had a 17 minute interview alongside Kevin Durant with ESPN. According to an article from NPR.com “James discussed family, personal growth and the challenges that come with being black and a public figure in America — including his reaction to the racial slur that was graffitied on his Los Angeles home last May. He also discussed politics and President Trump”. So clearly lebron is speaking out about things that have happened to him recently that were hateful and he was also talking about how president trump had said some questionable and shocking things he had said. In the interview Lebron stated "The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn't understand the people," the athlete said at one point during the interview, adding that some of the president's comments are "laughable and scary." As we see here Lebron James who is one of the biggest Black athletes on the planet and maybe of all time is practicing his 1st amendment right. Laura Ingrahm from fox news had some rude things to say about lebron like that he was barely “intelligible”, and “ungrammatical.” She then finishes the segment by saying "It's always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball," she said. "Keep the political comments to yourselves. ... Shut up and dribble." This obviously challenged Lebrons intelligence as a black man and the comment of shut up and drip in my opinion had some racist undertones. Laura Ingrahm had actually gotten called out for her comments on defending Drew Brees a couple years ago as Drew brees made his politcal commets public. Laura had nothing to say about Brees. Drew Brees is also a white man.

Serena Williams is one of greatest Tennis players ever to play the sport. If you have watched any sports news channel the last 15 years odds are you have seen a headline of Serna dealing with racism abuse online. She has also dealt with issues involving the French Open on what she could and can’t wear. In 2012 a man named David Leonard who was the chair of the department of critical culture, gender, and race studies at Washington State University decided to record tweets and comments after she had won her 5th Wimbledon title. Some of the awful things that he found during this process where things such as “Serena Williams look like a man with tits, it's only when she wears weave she looks female tbh, what a HENCH BOLD GORILLA!,” “I don't see how in the hell men find Serena Williams attractive?! She looks like a male gorilla in a dress, just saying!”. Not only is she being called a gorilla which is already messed up and racist on its own there are comments on the way she looks saying she looks like a  “Male” . David Lenord also states “The racism that underlies the characterizations of her as hypersexual, aggressive, and animalistic also means that when she dares to express frustration, she's stamped with the infamous "angry black woman" stereotype.” If we are being honest we do not see this type of hate towards white women in the sport and this is a prime example of mistreatment from the media and sexism is also demonstrated. 

In 2020 the UEFA Euros took place. It was England Vs. Italy. This is one of the largest soccer tournaments on the planet. The Game ended up going to penalties as the result of the game ended up in a draw. 3 out of the 5 people who took the penalties were black. All 3 of them unfortunately missed their penalties. There was already a stereotype online that black soccer players are not good at penalties. The problem with online racism and hate towards black soccer players in media is so bad when was watching it live I already knew that the young men Marcus Rashford, 23, Jadon Sancho, 21, and Bukayo Saka, 19, where going to be victims of mistreatment and to be negatively represented by the media. The abuse online was getting so bad that the government was getting involved. Fans that were caught making abusive comments towards the players were facing bans from stadiums and games for the rest of their lives. Marcus Rashford had released a statement saying "I can take critique of my performance all day long... but I will never apologize for who I am and where I came from,". Comments that were made about the players stemmed from fans calling them monkeys and other racial slurs like the N word. Along with these comments there was plenty of talk about how black people are not good at penalties and this is an example of black athletes being negatively represented.

Black athletes are subjected to negative representation by the media and are often mistreated as well. I hope this Blog has informed you of moments where black athletes have been treated negatively. Things have gotten a lot better since when Jackie Robinson was around and I hope to continue to see improvements in the treatment and representation of black athletes.

He sat back and listened to her go on about bouts and jams and jammers and blockers , trying to follow but mostly just enjoying how excited she was. By the time she finally wound down, it was time for him to leave, but he was happy to see her enthusiasm restored.

“You’re really going to come to the bout?” Marinette asked, big blue eyes turned up to him as he stood to go.

“Absolutely. And I won’t have a single bandaid in my pockets, I promise.” He winked, and she laughed, and the sound followed him down the stairs and kept him smiling even as the bakery faded from sight behind him.

Viperion looked at her sharply but was blinded by the light of her power activating. He took a step back as she glowed brightly, and when he could see again, his partner was gone. The movie was just as cheesy and silly as Marinette remembered, and Luka’s whispered asides had Marinette burying her face in his shoulder to muffle her laughter. Fortunately, the theater was not exactly packed, and no one made any effort to shush them. They both doubled over with barely suppressed laughter as Jagged threw himself dramatically into a mudslide down a cliff in the rain after his crocodile co-star, only to land up to his ears in a lake of muddy water at the bottom.

“Back before the age of green screens,” Luka snickered in her ear. “How many times do you think they had to do that take?”

The image of Jagged flinging himself repeatedly into the mud because the first take hadn’t been rock ‘n roll enough sent them both into another fit of giggles.

Luka tried to remind himself as he walked to the T&S Bakery that he knew absolutely nothing about his mystery neighbor, and he shouldn’t be nervous. If he was lucky, he’d make a new friend. If he wasn’t, he’d buy them a coffee, make awkward small talk for half an hour, and go home and hide under his covers until he didn’t feel like dying of embarrassment anymore for being so incredibly wrong and his next hit song would be about shattered illusions and the stupidity of self-indulgent fantasies and he’d have to laugh awkwardly in interviews while trying desperately to avoid telling the truth of his inspiration.

Luka took a deep breath and blew it out slowly, acknowledging the thought and letting it go with his breath like his therapist had taught him. 

He shrugged his shoulders slightly to resettle his leather jacket, and then pushed open the door.

Marinette pursed her lips, considered the worst case scenario, and decided she wouldn’t die of embarrassment if, say, her parents saw it. It looked kind of like a sexy perfume ad, actually.

“Y-you c-can keep it,” she sighed. “B-but j-just for us.”

“Promise,” he said, saving the photo. Then he kissed her neck in a spot he knew was ticklish, making her scrunch her shoulder up.

“L-luka,” she laughed, and he leaned further and kissed her cheek.

“Can I keep these too?” he grinned, handing her the phone.

Jagged might be an artist and he might be the greatest rock ‘n roll star of his generation, but a “pure” artist? Not even close. It was moments like this morning when he was reminded that Jagged was a businessman as well as an artist, and that all his lip-service to the purity of the emotion he put into his work was—well. It wasn’t all bullshit. Jagged’s songs were emotional, it was something Luka had always admired about his work, but he’d walked away from the meeting this morning feeling like Jagged’s tears must be shaped like tiny dollar signs.

I got board at 10:30 PM, so enjoy this Marcaniel story!!!

Marc and Nathaniel are in Marc's room, talking about ideas for their next comic.

"What about one that's focused around Cat Noir?" Marc suggested. "Our last one was mostly focused around Ladybug, so why not do one about him?" Nathaniel nodded.

"I like that idea." He said. "How about it's him trying to figure out his feelings for Ladybug?"

"Yeah!" Marc agreed and then got up to retrieve a notebook from his desk drawer to write down ideas. "Aw, shoot. I have no notebook paper left. My sister's going to the store today, but she's busy right now."

"It's ok, I have spare sketch paper we can use." Nathaniel said, reaching into his drawstring bag he had brought with him that had his sketch pad, a water bottle, and a few different pencils. As he pulled the sketch pad out, a piece of paper slid out and over to Marc's feet.

"Wait!" Nathaniel warned, but it was too late. Marc had picked up the paper and looked at it already. Marc studied the paper. On it was a very good, detailed drawing of him. The lines and colors were perfect, along with the color blending of what looked like watercolor pencils. On the bottom of the drawing, Nathaniel had signed his name and at the top was a short headline/title.

Could he like me back? But... I'm never that lucky, It can't be! But... This drawing...

Marc turned to Nathaniel questioningly.

"Do you... Like me...?" He asked. Nathaniel blushed and nodded. "Wow..."

"You think it's ridiculous, right? That you no longer wanna work with me cuz I like you. Or because I'm queer." Nathaniel gets up and walks toward the door.

"Wait." Marc said, grabbing Nathaniel's hand (Causing both boys to blush) to stop him from leaving. "I like you too. Ever since I met you. It's just... You're so beautiful and kind... and... your hair, your face, your lips-" He suddenly stopped, realizing what he had said. Both boys looked away from each other, red faced, hands still linked. Suddenly Nathaniel pulls Marc into him, so their faces are mere inches apart. They look into each other's eyes and Marc glances at Nath's lips then back up at his eyes.

"You're really cute." Nath says, before pulling Marc closer and kissing him. No words come from either of them for about the next five minutes.

Nathaniel and Marc pull away from each other.

"So you like me romantically? Marc asks.

"Heck, yeah."

"Do you like me sexually?" Nathaniel was a little shocked by the question. He wasn't sure if Marc was flirting or being serious, but whatever he was doing, Nath knew the honest answer.

"Yes." With that response, Marc pushes Nathaniel onto the bed that was a couple feet away. Nath doesn't resist. They start making out again, and move farther onto the bed.

Let's just say, the boys had a lot of fun that night... 😉

LIKE. FINALLY
