it's just interesting to me how Garrus acts around Shepard, and how he downplays his own importance to her

Shepard never boasts or brags, never really uses her influence really as a Spectre or her background to her advantage, like not really. Maybe here or there for laughs, or maybe once or twice when the situation calls for it, but she never makes that part of who she is

Shepard is just wholly herself. Whatever she does, she does 200%. Give it your all or die trying. There is no give up to her. If she can't go through, she'll go around. If she can't go up, then she'll go down. And if her only option is through a field of death, then buddy, she's going to mow your ass down and plow on through, you'd best be movin' out her way.

the point is - she's a force of nature, and she doesn't need titles to do what needs to be done. Made a Spectre, great, makes things easier. Spectre status taken away, Alliance status taken away? Well shit just got a little bit harder is all, don't make no difference. She gets shit done.
