the opening line of holy musical batman. ONE SHOT. TWO SHOTS IN THE NIGHT—

the “oh oh oh oh”s of ttto’s speedrun. The energy in that song is unmatched

Literally all of “I Was”. I mean I have fallen/from up high with that melody carries SUCH emotional weight for what’s supposed to be a comedy spoof

the first verse of “those voices.” the scene is such a dramatic tonal shift, is suddenly brings out a gut punch of a song with haunting vocals

draco’s verse in “going back to hogwarts” in starkid homecoming. the entire audience screaming WHATEVER I SAY!

the stripped instrumental opening of “climate change.” haunting vocals and choral work. it feels electrifying

also firebringer the beautiful sax in this is the dawn/the dawn of our time bit of the starkid homecoming firebringer medley. brings a tear to my eye

why does it hurt to love you in “not your seed.” you’re almost screaming no because you know it breaks Bill’s heart

the slowed tempo of we’re finally ready/the time is right for us to light a spark from “ready to go” in mamd. I can’t help but smile :)

Starkid and Puppets: A Legacy

Now if you're like me, you're probably obsessed with starkids penchant for puppetry

And in light of recent news...

It's safe to say I've been screaming, crying, throwing up thinking about it alot

So lets take a journey through all their Puppets shall we!

We start where all good stories start AVPM. Who have the Dragon puppet

Next, MAMD has no puppet's

And AVPS has sorty and scarfy! (<3)

Now obviously... Starship, with an incredible amount of puppetry

Bug and buggette

Roach and some other backround Puppets (including mosquito's)

And (in my opinion) starkids most incredible puppet to date, Pincer!

Holy Musical B@tman has none

AVPSY does have a puppet! They have the basilisk puppet (technically scarfy and sorty again)

Twisted has two Puppets! The monkey

And the parrot

Neither Trail to Oregon or ANI have any Puppets unless you count Cornwallis

Firebringer has both trunkell

And snarl (with a size to rival pincer)

And you know what, let's count the duck

Tgwdlm has none

Black friday doesn't technically have any but I'm still going to put a picture of wiggly here because I just think you should look at him <3

And surprisingly, while nightmare time 1 has no puppets, nmt2 does!

That's a total of 20 different puppets (lmk if I miscounted starship). With an average of 1.3 puppets per musical/project!

watched me and my dick for the first time recently and i actually love it so much. what a horrible horrible concept that they somehow executed so charmingly. also brian holden is dressed like this which is frankly the biggest win ever

I think the saddest part about a lot of the fandom refusing the watch MAMD is that they will never see the scene where Joey proposes to Vanessa which, to this day, I think is one of the funniest Starkid scenes ever

We had a full rendition of Land of the Dicks (actually such a banger) as the first song after the intro and i honestly don’t know what the newer fans/parents in the audience would’ve been thinking

Right it's a random Saturday evening which means it's time to rant. I'm tired of people overlooking the Starkid musical 'Me and My Dick'. Is the title off-putting and slightly juvenile? Maybe. Is the idea of anthropomorphic genitalia weird? Absolutely. But is it a good show ? Absolutely. For starters if you ignore the weird aspects of the genitalia it's actually a really cute romcom love story about two dorky teenagers finding each other. Also and possibly more importantly the songs are incredible and I fully believe that barring Starship this is some of Starkid's best work. 'Ready to Go' and 'Even though' are absolute bangers. The jazzy vibes from everything are just fantastic and I'm tired of newer starkid fans not watching it because it's one of their older musicals and a bit of a weird concept. Anyways you should watch it. (Also Joe Walker's costume in this is iconic in every single way)

Guys can we as a community say how absolutely amazing me and my dick is

Aj Holmes Darren criss and Carlos Valdez are all such amazing music writers providing banger after banger in what is honestly an hilarious show

All of the characters are so iconic and you can’t forget them

I know people get weirded out by the concept of singing and dancing genitals and honestly I did too upon first watch but if you just give it a chance you can see how good it is at making you feel emotions

From making you feel bad for sally and cringing out to Joey to making you feel happy for old snatch and Tallywacker

It’s honestly so underrated in the fandom it’s crazy, i think it’s the perfect show to represent starkids humor

I just wish people would give it a chance and just watch it if you haven’t yet!!
