8 Tips for Improving Menstrual Health
Menstrual health is an important part of a woman's overall health. Menstruation is a natural process that happens every month, but it can be uncomfortable or even painful. In this article, I will discuss eight ways to improve menstrual health.
Tip 1: Eat a Healthy Diet
Eating a healthy diet is essential for menstrual health. A balanced diet that includes foods like fish, poultry, eggs, beans, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables can help alleviate menstrual discomfort. Avoiding processed foods and excessive sugar intake can also minimize symptoms of discomfort during menstruation.
Tip 2: Stay Hydrated
Drinking enough water throughout the day is crucial for menstrual health. Drinking plenty of water helps to flush out toxins and reduce bloating, which is a common symptom during menstruation. Consuming liquids such as herbal teas, fresh juices, coconut water, and plain water can also be beneficial.
Tip 3: Exercise Regularly
Regular exercise can reduce the intensity of menstrual cramps. Exercise improves circulation, which can help to stabilize serotonin levels and reduce the severity of cramps. Some excellent exercises for menstrual cramps include yoga, jogging, cycling, and swimming.
Tip 4: Maintain Good Hygiene
Good menstrual hygiene involves using clean sanitary products like pads, tampons, or menstrual cups. Regularly changing these products to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria is also key to good hygiene. Additionally, keeping the vaginal area clean during menstruation can reduce the risk of infections like yeast infections.
Tip 5: Get Adequate Sleep and Rest
Getting enough sleep and rest during menstruation is important for better menstrual health. Sleep helps to regulate hormones and helps the body rejuvenate. Fatigue and stress are common issues during menstruation and can lead to menstrual cramps and pain. Getting enough rest and avoiding overexertion may reduce the severity of menstrual symptoms.

Tools for your Spiritual Tool Box
I love sharing practices with you that may be helpful for you. Some will feel like gold, and others may only resonate at certain times. That's cool. We need many tools to deal with life's stresses and curve balls. The challenge is actually to remember the practice when we need it the most. When we are sick or stressed, our logical brain goes out the door, so I create a list of what to do when I need support. When struggling with bladder issues, I would have amnesia about how to care for myself. I would be in pain and fear. So, I made a list and hung it in my kitchen cabinet. It said, "Take Cranberry, Uva Ursi, Marshmallow Root. Shoulder stand. Think about what's upsetting me. No sugar, spice, or caffeine. Drink lots of water. Get my anger out. Give Reiki to my bladder. Slow down to feel my feelings." Another list I had beside my bed: "I am stressed, and I don't know what to do. "I attached a picture of that list below. We need to prepare so we can get back to balance and health. What would be on your Healing Tool Box List? It's essential to keep this list handy. Please don't put it in a journal and make it challenging to find. Hang it up or put it somewhere with easy access. Learning tools and having someone to support you 1-1 are essential to thrive in life. We don't have to do life alone., I invite you to check out my Everyday Reiki Program. In this program, I work side by side with you to connect with you. With one-on-one coaching, Reiki energy and group healing, and learning from experts in the spiritual field, you will be supported to elevate yourself into your authentic expression. I am opening the early bird application process. Because of the high level of service, I have a limited amount of spots. You will receive early bird rates and extra bonuses when you sign up early. What is period pain?
Before knowing the causes of period pain, it is important to understand what period pain is. In fact, in medical terms, the problem of pain during periods is called dysmenorrhea. It is mainly of two types. The first of which is primary dysmenorrhea and the second is secondary dysmenorrhea.
The causes of both these types of pain can be different. During the period, some women start to experience back pain, abdominal pain or cramping pain. There may be some of the following reasons behind this problem, which we have discussed in detail in the next part of the article.
Reasons for Periods:

PMDD is a hormone-based mood disorder where symptoms are only present in the luteal phase - that js between ovulation & around the time of your period. Premenstrual symptoms include a constellation of mood, behavioral, and physical indications that occur in a cyclic pattern prior to menstruation and then wane off after the menstrual period in women of reproductive age. By when it's overwhelming, consult a doctor. Request people who matter, to be a bit more affectionate and loving towards you; and you, on the other hand, tell yourself that it's just a lousy trick your hormones play on you; you can pull it off better than this. In case you break down, it's okay too. Talk to someone who offers a safe place, and bring yourself back up. You got this. . .
