Writing a series with a central ace relationship is quickly turning into EVERY relationship being ace-spec.
I'm on such a high. I had no idea how limiting it's been for me to write love with the implication that they will at some point have to fuck. Nope! No fucking just romance! In a few cases now there's even no romance, just devotion and platonic affection!
I am a horse that has escaped from the stables and I'm going on a motherfucking rampage. Someone give me some apples.

Y’know I just got to this circle of hellsite. Feelin kinda nice so far. Reminds me of the suffering and ever shifting facets of reality back home. Definitely less lonely though, this abyss looks back with more bafflement.
"if tumblr dies you can find me on bluesky" "if tumblr dies you can find me on Instagram" if tumblr dies you cannot find me. It's over. I'm free.

When Scott says this I want to make it clear that it's absolutely because Tenzin showed him a few Ghibli movies and his quiet response was "hm. was unaware that this was a possibility. noted and internalized forever".
every ghibli movie is better with some guys in it

Birding in Bay Area, CA
I love life from all angles and I never shy away from different experiences. Recently I had some members of my family visit me with young children who were into birding. There’s always something new to learn from the younger generation. I spent a wonderful week with them exploring local birding areas and learned about birds and birding. We visited various birding places. I cannot remember all…

some of the architecture of zinder, niger. zinder rose from a small hausa village into an important center of trans-saharan trade during the 18th century, culmunating in it becoming the capital of the sultanate of damagaram in 1736.
#niger#hausa#architecture#my posts#in case you didn't know: hausa is a part of the afroasiatic language family (same family semitic langs are in)#there's a lot of theories about how exactly afroasiatic speakers spread & there isn't a consistent cultural/migration pattern#like w/ indo-euro languages#but hasua is probably to arabic/hebrew/syriac what english is to bengali or assamese (except even less similar)#i can pick out some hausa words myself ('sama' is 'heaven') but tbh im not sure how many are loadwords from arabic (since they use#'dunya' for 'world' for example). most hausa are muslim so itd make sense if they took some arabic words

Seeing this and desperately manifesting the physical wellness to finally finish Migration Patterns so you can see the few weird ladies from book one plus like three more.
Like I've already said a bit about Ollie, the bass guitarist and magical pharmacologist. The one who insists everyone was in love with Scott Skylark Kaufner at some point to avoid admitting she was down bad for the designated Town Weirdo.
But oh man just wait till you hear more about Aggie? The head of security in town who has the training of what is essentially the witchcraft militia? Or Renja the chef who has never spoken out loud and might be fully non-verbal, but no one can tell because she delights in never giving a straight answer when it comes to giving information about her history.
And of course there's a lot more of Regina Mustard Kaufner, the twice-widowed bisexual who is getting pretty old and suddenly has to start acting like she's chilled out with age. Yes, her son looks just like her but acts just like his father. Yes, she's got just as much of a temper as he does and even more power to make use of it. But it's fine. She almost in her mid-50s, so it's fine.
I NEED to see more weird/offputting women ocs. pleeease, introduce me to your freaks and failures!!

got bored earlier, and now i have an entire paper written in my head about the bubonic plague linking to the industrial revolution, due to the rat population in central london
#complete with citations and sources#it took 2 hours to get all the notes#and i've never had so much fun#history spin came back with a passion and i missed her#will i ever actually write said paper however ?#no#but there was a lack of government help w/ the vermin problem around the 1780's which ties into it too#and the lack of proper sewage disposal#and migration patterns were fun to look at for it#as well as the estimated rat population paired with estimated people population
