green faction inventory analysis
from the 13/04/2025 event
*not all of green faction. owen, pangi, bad and lukey; with a focus on the three most active members.
something really cool about minecraft storytelling, especially those that are improvisational/livestreamed, is you can get a physical look into the characters' priorities and mindsets. not just what they think is important to have on them, but also what they think is important to keep in their hotbarsâand the organization of their hotbars from slots 1-9.
this is a very long post. analysis under cut.
PANGI
inventory
hotbar (1)
we're going to start with pangi, because his inventory provides a really good reference point to start with and his hotbar is also the most unique. a general note: pangi's inventory is always organized, whereas bad and lukey tend to frequently switch items around, from the vods i scanned.* he keeps weaponry on the left side (which is quite literally everything and anything he could possibly use in a fight), potions and rockets in the middle, and additional pvp items on the far right. the crystals and obsidian stay in the upper right unless they're being used. he keeps an empty slot in his hotbar which he replaces with whatever he needs at any given timeârockets, pots, cobwebs or charges. he remains in-control of his inventory in every situation.
he keeps his trident in his off-hand, great-axe in 1st, crossbow in 2nd and pickaxe in 3rdâbut he switches the pick for a spear during combat.
hotbar (2)
pangi prioritizes weapons over tools, and keeps a pvp kit on him at all times. exclusively splash pots for efficiency, and they're a variety useful not only for fighting but also for surviving traps (slow-falling), even when fall traps haven't been common in months. some habits are hard to shake.
he has the inventory of a fighter, but one that (semi) knows when to pick his battles or keep fighting, and when it's safer to fleeâevidenced by the pearls, rockets and chorus fruitâbut he has the resources to put up a fight, and is willing to not only start them but also see them through. he is definitely paranoid but not afraid. he does not play the defensive, keeping his shield in his inventory, but instead the offensive. he has what he needs to get him through a fight. his kills are not strategic, but fuelled by his own emotion and moral compass. he never exactly plans on killing, and is not always looking to kill, but instead is prepared for if he feels he has to, no matter how finicky that "has to" is. he is confident in his ability to survive, his ability to kill, and his ability to hold his own. he knows when he's bitten off more than he can chew, he's always aware of the consequences, and still does the best he can to fight the battles he's startedâbut never at the expense of his own life.
BAD

bad keeps an entire extra set of armour on him. i literally did not know that until i started this. thats insane
bad's inventory is not un-organized, but he is much more willing to move things around to do what he has to do. the potions he keeps on him are not splash, but drinkable ones, because he doesn't prioritize speed the same way that pangi does, and is less frantic. this is not to say that bad is less paranoid, but they approach pvp with different mindsets bred from different places. bad organizes his inventory horizontally, compared to pangi's vertical organization. in his inventory, also, are the materials to make stasis chambers, not only for himself but also for his teammatesâmore on that in a moment.
bad keeps his shield in his off-hand, great-axe first like pangi, but pickaxe second. the shulker box in his hotbar has additional resources to keep him alive (gaps, totems, etc.) he has the inventory of an assassin, and focuses more on his own resilience than his honour, opposed to pangi, and is not concerned with dealing with the aftermath. bad is an opportunistic killer to his core, and is confident in his ability to get away from the messes he causesâevidenced by the stasis chambers, the extra set of armour, the pick and shovel in the hotbar to get away. he is one of the few realmers who use drinkable pots instead of splash pots, which is interesting because they can't easily be used to help friends/teammates, BUT he looks out for them using foresight with the stasis chambers, instead of in-conflict aid. he always plans to bite off more than he can chew, and always has twelve ways out when the walls start closing in on him.
LUKEY
inventory
hotbar
lukey, first and foremost, is distinctly un-organized compared to his teammates. and just in general. this not only highlights the difference in their playstyles, but also the difference in how long they've been on the realm. as time has gone on, lukey's inventory has changed, and so have his hot-bar priorities. his inventory has taken more influence from pangi with the splash pots, chorus fruit and windchargesâbut some aspects from bad, such as the gapples in the final slot and tools in his hotbar. the splash pots are also indicative of lukey's need to be quick. not because he's a fighter, and certainly not because he's resilient, but because he knows he will be first blood.
lukey has an inventory that indicates pacifism. unlike pangi and bad, his most powerful weapon is not in the first slot, but instead the 3rd, following his pick*âhe prioritizes comfortability over his ability to intimidate, as he prefers the sword. the lack of organization also indicates a lack of anticipation, as lukey does not see himself fighting. he keeps a few items he deems useful, and most importantly, a variety of splash potionsâturtle master, fire res and three invis. this is probably the most interesting thing about his inventory. lukey is un-confident in his ability to fight and survive, so he prioritizes the potions he knows will work best to his advantageâdisappear, get out without raising a weapon.
his hotbar shows a similar pattern, elyta water and trident before the great-axe, and shield in off-hand. unlike pangi, lukey doesn't use his trident for pvp, but as a method of travel. so, his slots 2-4 are all escape routes. he has the inventory of a negotiator, one that can get him away from a fight and not one that can start a fight.
OWEN

if you thought lukey's inventory organization was bad, owen's is the undiscovered layer of hell. where do i even start with this, owen.
to put it very simply, owen has the inventory of a storyteller. he is not very concerned at all with his own survival, or escape, or ability to killâhe knows they can't kill him in any way that really matters, because they've tried, and he just comes back. this is not only evidenced by his inventory but also his obvious playstyleâhe runs around without armour on. in his inventory, he keeps more blocks than weapons, and more potions he can use for gags and bits rather than ones he can use to ensure his own survival. owen is an individualist, and is more concerned with his goal and narrative than any of the things his factionmates are concerned with.

How *do* you change your karma with knocker? Just tolerate his shit?
tolerating him is absolutely a part of it, but to get more in-depth about it:
- NOT attacking him in any way (even unintentionally )
- appearing unafraid of him via like maintaining eye contact without running away or something
- kind of similar to the last one, letting him linger when he appears rather than approaching and triggering a reaction like disappearing/attacking from his coding . I interpret it as giving the miserable minecraft boogeyman a break
- placing a black bed (that you don't sleep in) somewhere inside your house
- naming a pet after him
- playing music discs (except for the creepy ones)
- placing several interactable blocks around (doors/trapdoors, buttons, fences, levers) (listen its like. his coding demands for him to interact with these regularly . the more the easier for him to hit his internal quota )
- players who explore ( given he's tied to the player, only able to appear where they are, he subconsciously enjoys getting to sightsee now and again)
- responding to his chat messages â he doesn't ALWAYS respond, but has a higher chance of engaging in conversation as opposed to his low-karma self, who more often than not rarely communicates through signs
- closing a door he opened or opening a door he just shut - and the same with the levers and buttons and whatever else - amuses him. He initially thinks of this as paranoia rather than play, which still serves to "reward" his coding
- if he's around to witness your death (jumping into lava, being blown up, shot by arrows, etc) (he finds this funny) or if he causes it (e.g pushing you into lava)
On the other hand, triggering "bad" karma is hilariously easy if you just did everything possible to offend him, like trapping him in cobwebs, attacking him, killing him, etc etc etc

I wonder if the reason Ros seems so much happier in Clown's company than anyone else is because he gives her tasks to do and asks her for help.
Everyone else is either too independent to ask for help or they believe that she is too incompetent to be of help to them, and so she desperately grasps at anything she can do to be of use to others, and sometimes makes things worse in the process. Because they don't trust her enough to help and so she doesn't have enough information to make good choices, or because she is driven to extremes trying to prove herself to them.
But Clown does ask for help. He asks her to help him get materials, or catch him up on what he's missed, or grind skills together, or fight off mobs, or protect him from Molluskus and Sneeg. Even when he's just goofing, the joke is never that he doesn't believe in Ros's competency, the punchline is that he specifically would need help with completing the task.
He's always quick to praise her successes, even seemingly small and silly things like cobwebbing players that are standing still, or pillaring with a stack of crafting tables. How many times has Aimsey expressed fondness for Ros in an infantilizing way?
And now he wants to build a castle with her. He asked to help her with her most favorite thing to do in the whole world. He is engaging in her interests. He's not just treating her as an authority on the subject, but he's asking her to actually collaborate and teach him, the way he has taught her about survival minecraft mechanics and pvp.

my first mobile game piracy was bc our entire 6th grade class got obsessed with this game where you could create pottery vases and sell them. except the free app was only a demo so we all only had limited patterns and colors... except for this one guy. who, when asked, gave us directions to download some super shady app through your browser through which you could download paying games for free! thanks kristĂłf you're still a real one. i got my damn vases.
i should try to search back every mobile game my entire middle school class got inexplicably obsessed with. there were some choices in there

(Multiple sounds of surprise and gasps)
Grian: Ren?!
Martyn: Woaaah woaaaaah
Martyn: Who was that?!! WHO WAS THAT?!!
Scott: Scar!!
Martyn: Scar!?
(Martyn instantly punches Scar and swings his sword at him, setting him on fire)
Scar: Oh! Oh no! Oh no!
Scott: Oh! Woah woah woah
(Scar falls off the cliff and Martyn follows him)
Scar: Oh no! Oh no!
Scott: Put him out! Put him out!
Scar: The water-
Grian: Oh dude, that totally looked like he jumped

(Grian giggles for a long time as Scar goes back to Grian and Scott, and Martyn shakes his head)

(Martyn blinks)
Ren: Martyn, we need to go back into Dogwarts
(Martyn blinks again as he turns around towards Ren)

Ren: Thank you dude
(Ren runs towards Dogwarts as Martyn follows behind him)
Grian: Oh Ren was so close to an instant death

(Martyn sighs heavily)

i love the idea of the lifestealers being a very infamous and distinctive bunch of people in the wider minecraft canon universe: among the many other SMPs, hardcore solo players, creative world builders, ancient hypixel masters, and whatnot, the lifestealers are uniquely unhinged in that they will have the most complicated histories of layered betrayal & mass murder & abandonment & permadeath & marriage & complex polyamorous divorce within themselves, and yet theyâve formed a sort of deep pack bond with each other that exists on a whole unique layer of human relationships and really shows itself when they try to mingle with people from other servers.
like, theyâll participate in an inter-server tournament event with speedrunners and vault hunters and other c!minecrafters who are friends with each other in normal ways such as âwe lived close by for a while and shared resourcesâ and then you check the relationship status between two lifestealers and theyâve got convoluted painful queerplatonic history beyond oneâs wildest imagination. âwhoâs that guy on the opposing team youâre cheering for?â âoh just my good friend :]â and the âgood friendsâ in question have previously murdered all their allies together and fallen in love and killed each other and not spoken for two years then moved in together with a pet camel or whatever. idfk. the lifestealers destroy their competition then go back home to continue cooking the worst relationship charts of all time.
the lifestealers would come across to many others as deeply abnormal, especially in longer-term interactions. theyâre casually violent and deceptive and used to instability in ways that make them hilariously incompatible with other people. imagine inviting a guest over to your homely neighborhood and they remove the floorboards of every house they enter to check for death traps like itâs just social norm. they pocket 2/3 of your gold and diamonds and also your cobwebs for some reason. their everyday movements like running and striking hold an unnerving efficiency. they donât really know how to fly. they have zero design sense. they shamelessly wonât engage in long conversation unless something materially valuable is involved. youâre kind of scared theyâll do permanent damage to your current home but the implication that there exists a server society in which all these people get together and act like this and itâs normal to them is the most terrifying thing of all

I finished watching Parrot's UU vid a few days ago and. I feel like there was both too much and not enough information at the same time.
To start off, director! ParrotX2 headcanon my beloved <333. I want ls s4 Parrot and Evilfies to be the director together so bad even though the director constantly refers to themselves as a single person but I'd settle for ls s4 Parrot or cc! Parrot being the director. Like. There were so many things in that episode. I can NOT get over the fact that Cube is canonically the first LifeSteal SMP member to die (afaik) and his death was used as a way to show to Parrot that the director views players as expendable. I have. So many thoughts aaaaaaa. His death felt. So anticlimactic??? And ik that's not the right word but sorry English isn't my first language lol anyways his death felt so??? How do I put this. It felt so SUDDEN. One second he was there and the next he was. Not. I think it's a weird mix of glitch stuff and admin stuff which could also explain why Parrot and Spoke seem to be like, the closest to the director? Idk I haven't watched much of Wemmbu's videos but Parrot is getting CONSTANTLY hunted down by the director like bro does NOT like Parrot Ex Two and then with Spoke it's like. Spoke has that connection to Rose and her brother and dad iirc? Like there's a link between Spoke and them and the wither I just can't put it into words hhhh. But anyways yeah cc! Parrot being the director makes so much sense cause like, both him and uu! Parrot seem to know... a lot of things??? Like the part with the dandelion at the end of the video. You can view the director as omnipotent or omniobservant (something I read in a hc about the director actually being an ai meant to protect the server from hacking and exploits. Rlly cool hc if you ask me might yap about it sometime just to spread propaganda lol) but really it can all just as easily be chalked up to cc! Parrot WRITING the dandelion part in the script. Since he knows what happens. Because he's the one who prompted Jumper to give Cube the flower. You feel me???
Another thing about a version of Parrot being the director is uu! Parrot's spidey sense/the constant gut feeling he has. This could work with whoever the director is ngl but I want it to be cc Parrot so. Yeah. Anyways the reason Parrot keeps getting a gut feeling and also his plot armor (the fights he's survived.......) is because he's linked to cc Parrot and Parrot prewrites everything hence Parrot always knows what to do. Atp the director isn't even trying to kill him, he'd just wanted Wifies dead (for some reason). Like, with ItsRealMe, it probably wasn't as prominent, but you're telling me THE best Minecraft pvper couldn't kill this guy and it wasn't because the director never actually wanted him to die? Then it becomes much more prominent with Cube as the director becomes more and more involved in Parrot's storyline - aka the gut feeling with the tipped arrows and standing still in the room and not taking any of the passageways. They both seem like plot armor, the first one perhaps much more than the second one cause these guys really stared at him pretend to break 2 pieces of wood, some cobwebs, and go "checks out idk" like?? The second one felt ngl kinda obvious to me because like. Why was Cube standing in the middle of the room if it was all going to explode unless Parrot assumed he had a stasis chamber that teleported him out as soon as he took damage which would. Lowk be a wild assumption. AND then the thing with 4c where it was revealed the room wasn't actually rigged with tnt?? It felt very silly but also for like a solid minute it was one of those semi-crazy feats.
ANOTHER THOUGHT I JUST GOT the reason that Cube set up all that bs was entirely for the plot. Like that was it. Maybe even to get Derapchu and Parrot a bit closer (âthen see yourself differently firstâ scene my beloved it shot me like 37 times) but I'm not entirely sold on that one. Like while Wemmbu and Spoke are off doing their own thing Parrot seems to be wrapped in the director's plot web.
Ik it's a stretch but it'd also explain Spoke being upset with Parrot for "taking something from him" and Parrot being mildly aware of it before they both discard the early season interactions like it's nothing? Like. The only thing we're AWARE Spoke lost in the early S1 was like, probably Jamato, and maybe he was salty with Parrot about it because cc Parrot wrote him out for whatever reason?? Idk I haven't heard anything about Jamato this feels like torture.
Back to Cube's death. The fact that the director told Parrot that he didn't kill off Cube because he "failed to kill Parrot" but because he "outlived his usefulness", implying that both ItsRealMe and Cube had been used as plot devices for Parrot's story. Idk if ItsRealMe suffered the same fate off-screen or if he was simply used as a side character (yknow how often times writers will create a character to push the protagonists journey forward?). Cube's death had a lot of impact and I hope they go more into it in the next episode because like. I still can't get over the fact that he's the first LifeSteal SMP member that's died, the second person connected to Parrot to be killed off by the director, and also the second person to be sent to push his story forward? Like maybe I'm yapping about it too much but LifeSteal SMP in UU holds a special place in my heart like holy fuck I really thought they were safe but apparently NO. Also the director telling Parrot they'd meet because the director doesn't write stories where he loses but also Parrot has not once lost (not technically, atleast. Maybe it's a stretch but every time he came close to losing there was some twist, turn, 360, SOMETHING that stopped him from falling, presumably something written by the director to keep his own character afloat). The letter can easily be interpreted as the director telling Parrot they'll meet and Parrot will lose because the director doesn't lose but also. It could be interpreted as both Parrot and the director having SOME sort of connection linking them together enough for Parrot losing to be the same as the director losing. âWe'll see each other soon because I don't write stories where I loseâ implying Parrot is going to go through every obstacle the director throws at him and come out victorious at the end. Does that make sense?? Idk.
One last thing about the director because I've been yapping for the past 15 minutes in my notes app and I need to go to bed: The concept of the director is. So genius. Idk if I've mentioned this before (probably have ngl) but it covers SO many things writers do and explains it in a way that conviniences the plot. Like it is literally a story about a story written by some unknown guy. Idk how to explain it but like it makes. So much sense???
CUBE'S DEATH ALSO IMPLIES THAT THE REASON WIFIES GOT KILLED WAS BECAUSE HE'D SERVED HIS PURPOSE IN THE STORY. He was meant to keep Parrot safe, to keep him grounded, and to push his story forward, but now that the Invis mafia got beaten, there was no reason for Wifies to continue living, because as a character, he was far too allowing of Parrot's behavior. Now, after the Invis mafia arc, it's time for Parrot to learn and to grow ig?

What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!
Efforts are made to develop the nether, and increasing its safety. It doesn't hurt that it's pretty, too. It seems Splat has built a temple! It has beautiful greco-roman pillars with lovely blue accents, lit by lanterns with snowblossom and magic trees growing in the center. I sure hope nothing ominous happened there.
Grif and Simmons from Red vs Blue visit! Looks like they're still very good friends. Unless⌠dear g-d⌠these soldiers gay! They've gotten gay married! Pride wins! So do Naturalist collectors, who have gotten so many butterflies! And a brown panda. Autism wins!
