i understand that wis, being the more squeaky wheel atm, is getting more attention. Her rants are racist, rape apologia, just totally insanity.

But to be clear: Salem himself is not being abused by Wis, and is a grown adult who is choosing to behave badly. He's chosen to be mutuals with pedozoos. He's chosen to take zero responsibility for his actions past and present. And as this is the topic most mentioned, he CHOSE to vague sawyer multiple times on his tumblr blog and bsky. I know this blog has moved very fast, and there are many new people here post-lulu and others making this known to wider audiences, so I'll ask the mod to maybe put some of those very early screenshots where Salem:

called sawyer his "evil ex", a "skinwalker", a "crypto-fash nazi" and ect

called sawyer a "stalker" "harasser" who "almost drove Salem into killing himself" (he has never posted proof for any of this)

mocked them publicly to their following on bluesky, multiple times. it was only the most recent time that it was deleted, because enough backlash happened that he chickened out. before lulu and other big accounts called him out, he was doing this fairly regularly.

continues to be friends with/interacts with Torin/pheal and Majora/Cultcore/Salmonmaws, known groomers that Sawyer alerted them to, seemingly specifically to spite them.

called mari someone who was "accused of being a sex pest" because she was transfem on tumblr at first, then when it became impossible to spin clear rape allegations said they "didn't know what was going on" on bsky and that it was "relationship drama."

He's going to try to put this all on Wis, pretend Wis abused/groomed/whatever'd him into saying all the things he said, because the furry clout is more important to him than everything, and the totality of his behavior would mean less notes and fawning responses from his followers. He and wis both were fine with harassing a rape victim because said victim hurt his feelings in a breakup UNTIL people who also had large followings pointed it out and put eyes on it. He didn't give a fuck when it was just this blog speaking out for victims, he mocked them. Now that people are seeing him for what he is? Oh, he didn't know, he had no idea, it was his girlfriend, uwu. Fucking despicable. I have no sympathy for him, not anymore.

A friend of ours saw C in a server, and tried to get them banned. Turns out! One of their friends who had yelled at me is one of the mods! Just perfect! So now it’s only getting worse.

Anyway, I got some proof that’s really hard to deny, we’ll see where this goes!

A letter to Southern Grimvault

I guess this is my ‘Good-bye to WS’ post. 

After the initial announcement of the game’s shut down two weeks ago, I haven’t had any idea how to properly express my feelings about Wildstar being close down. Seeing other people’s posts here and lurking on the many groups in discord of the news, I just felt a giant wave of sadness come over me and I couldn’t properly express that.

But I guess I’ve gathered my thoughts enough to where I’m writing this, so. It’s mostly for me, just to come in terms with everything. So take it as you will if you do read it.

P.S. It’s Long. P.P.S I’m not good at writing, so pardon for any odd phrasing or grammar lol

I used to farm the area for heartichoke (and later bloodbriar when it became more profitable) late at night w/ my mechari (To my best son, Romulus). It was a very routine thing I did when I didn’t (at the time) have a guild to partake in activities with.

Passing through Conqueror Square, around 10-11 pm PST, when the only physical activity you could see in Illium was at best, 2-4 people, was a normal sight for me as I headed to the transporters. (Rapid transport? I’m stingy) It was the end of a day for most, but the beginning for me as it was my goal, through this repeated and really obsolete method at the time, to gain more plat.

When loaded in, I put my mini-map on maximum size so I would be able to discern which crops to farm and others to stay away. (I didn’t use a mod to pin point which was which. I never had felt the need to.)  Minimized all quests windows, locking them into place so I didn’t accidentally click on them when I was moving around. I ignored nchat for the most part, but did take the occasional peek when curious. 

All the while, I would be listening to the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. Why that particular movie to this map? I really have no idea, to be frank. I don’t own a physical copy of the movie. And I’m more of a fan of Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox really. But this was the movie that always played in the background as I farmed. Eventually, the movie came synonymous with this map. It was just automatic for me to put it on-- late at night, with my earphones plugged in. Any extra noise in game, except the sfx for moving around in the world, would be the only thing I would be listening to for next 2-3 hours.

As the third party host site played the movie in the background, I farmed in S. Grimvault. I definitely do not have the lines memorized by heart for this movie despite me listening to it on repeat. But I’ve connected parts in the movie as to what areas in the map I would be located at the time. The first lines, “It is an extremely common mistake: people think the writer’s imagination is always at work...” would indicate myself being near Vigilant Incursion, just before the Strain Wall event on Dommie side. I’d run up the hill and make my way around the perimeter, closes to the wall as I looked over whether or not there was something I wanted to farm there. 

“Ten? Are you joking? That’s more than I’d pay an actual dealer -- and you wouldn’t know chiarascuro from chicken giblets,” line would usually be before or about around the Charlie Company Crash area, Exile side. To “Don’t flirt with her.” approximately around the entrance to Northern Grimvault between the two Exile and Dominion outposts. If the line was heard before I past the area, meant I made good time, or if a little after, meant I needed to pick up the pace. (Why it mattered whether I hurried along with farming had no real consequence, of course I didn’t want to spend the ENTIRE night there.)

The lines were sorta like markers for me, the starting point being at the Dominion drop in, all the way around through Exile side of S.Grimvault and through the perimeter of the Strain infested areas before coming back around to Vigilant Incursion. Given this was the path I always took when farming, I took to noticing and exploring things. Only natural for me. Since no one was ever really there, save the occasional leveling player or a bot attacking at monsters. (I swore the first time I saw a bot, I thought legitimately it was a real person... In the back of my mind I kinda did hope it was a real person. Goes to show how lonesome of a person I was then lol). 

I know I could have just searched google and typed up things like “Locations of Elite Bosses in S.Grimvault” or “What areas do Champion Bosses spawn in S. Grimvault” but my intention was never to fulfill the achievement quota when I was there. Finding and fighting bosses was a side quest I gave myself when farming. (The extra gold never hurt.) And they became part of the farming routine as I gathered and found more of these bosses and where they were located. (I only ever tackled fighting the rock and strain champion bosses, the charging rhino creature and the Eldan bot were some I couldn’t last long enough to win against.)

The entire routine itself, this farming in Southern Grimvault, was something I did look forward to in the late evenings. I would probably be done around 2-3 am, willing if I didn’t stay longer. Eventually, all the prior set up just became a blur, like, you’ve done it plenty of times, so much so it goes by like ‘that.’ At this point, as I farmed, I thought about things, stuff pertaining to WS in-game, lore, or character development.

One thought I repeatedly went back to in terms of WS was the economy, that if more people played, and how heartichoke and bloodbriar would soar as hot ticket items on the market. I imagined myself to be one of those stuck-up vets (at farming) who knew all the good spots and places to gather said items, being a little greedy and garnering enough plat through this practice to reach the milestone of 1000 plat. ( A personal goal <o/ ) 

Or story ideas for my characters, coincidentally most of them concerned Rom because I always played him during these times. How he’d go to the market the next day, after rigorously spending the day/night prior harvesting these crops, how he’d haggle with merchants and make a pretty plat. How he’d send Kalua to university in Cassus, or help fund/support his brother Remus’s endeavors with the Torine. Just little plot/character ideas that came into mind at the time. 

By the time I hear the credits roll in the background, I’m back near Vigilant Incursion. Upon arriving, I make a quick visit to the renown vendor, sell my extra loot and organize decor/items I’ve gotten and head back to Illium. Most times I’d head back into housing, but recent (recent as in months before when I still farm regularly) I’d just be in Illium and log off. I’d call it a night and that would be the end of it.

I suppose, why I’m writing PARTICULARLY about this personal routine rather than the times I’ve RP’d or done raiding, or gone through the story of WS, or even the drawings I’ve done for the game... is that-

That I thought I’d always be able to come back to it. 

When I felt sad, or down, or wanted to relax after a long day, late nights farming in Southern Grimvault always gave me a peace of mind. The map was vast enough that I could spend 2-3 hours, while listening to a movie, to farm, explore, and goof around. I’d be able to process myself through this simple action of swinging giant claws at a plant or garnering a couple gold from a boss.

But now that this is something that won’t happen anymore, it’s a bit sad to think that I won’t be able to enjoy that routine. Of course there will be other things, but specifically this and the things I’ve experienced through Wildstar, a whole lot of it...

I am going to miss it. I knew it was going to be gone at some point, but I wasn’t afraid to hope a little. Just a bit more, another day, another month, a year, even longer, for content that may have come to bring it back to its feet. But in the end it didn’t. And come Nov. 28th, the game will shut down and WS will be gone. It’s my first mmo, and I guess I’ll never really get over the deal that it is over...

But as everyone has said at this point, the memories of the game, making friends, enjoying the content, how long you’ve been playing either at the beginning or near the end. It’s something to keep despite all the sadness about the news. All of that, I’m really happy to have been through, being able to meet new people, doing things, having fun. 

So, I’ll close this off saying:

Thank you, Southern Grimvault. Thanks for being a map that let me feel like an explorer and enjoying the aesthetics you had to offer with your golden fields of towering exanite to your strain infested pulsating caves.

Hey y’all, Andie here. We haven’t gotten any comments or questions about this yet, but I wanted to take the bull by the horns and say something first. Yes Rylie is Autistic. By DSM-IV-TR standards, she would have either Asperger’s Syndrome or PDD-NOS. By DSM 5 standards, she would be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, level 1 (most likely, I’m most comfortable with the revised fourth edition). Autism is a very sensitive topic in media, I know. I know it’s a bold move to make her autistic, and there will be people who will try to say “you can’t write an autistic character because you’re not autistic!!!” That’s where you’re wrong. I am autistic. I was diagnosed with PDD-NOS when I was young, back when they still used the DSM-IV-TR, and I was rediagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (no level was specified, I checked) and an Unspecified Neurodevelopmental Disorder when I was 17, which was about four years ago now. While Rylie’s diagnosis of autism differs from mine, I base a lot of her behaviors off of myself. And if there’s something I don’t know, I do my research and I ask my friends, who are also on the spectrum. If you don’t like that Rylie is autistic, then there’s a simple thing you can do called stop reading.

Having existed at different times on either side of the console/PC gamer chasm, I have been able to experience the pros and cons of both types of systems. Though I greatly appreciate the streamlined and accessible nature of game consoles, I have mostly come to prefer the less restrained and ultimately cheaper experience I have had with my PC. They can be a headache to work with, but issues such as frame rate caps, modding Fallout, or whether or not Spotify will be available on my system, are not problems I need to consider. One of the greatest assets of the PC is also a great first-world-problem curse, however. What I refer to is the ease at which one can amass an insurmountable backlog of unplayed or partially-played games thanks to the likes of Humble Bundle and the numerous sales Steam puts on each year.

Sure, a lack of time can be attributed to the fact that I cannot get to the, as Steamleft.com puts it, 84 days and five minutes (and counting!) worth of video games I have in my Steam library. I admit, however, that there is something more psychological than a lack of free time keeping me from playing games that I bought with such excitement; I believe that the ease in which I received these games has turned my lifelong hobby into a hunger to own, not play, games and a fear of missing out on the fleeting sale.

I first downloaded Steam when I bought Fallout: New Vegas to test out my first laptop in 2010 (it didn't perform well). Three years later I discovered humblebundle.com and I bought a bundle that included indie games such as Proteus, Hotline Miami, and Little Inferno—10 games in all. My Steam library jumped from two (I believe I also bought Terraria somewhere between New Vegas and the bundle) to 12 games. I was blown away by how cheaply and quickly I could get new games and I wanted to play them all. Though I never completed any of the games in the bundle, I did play most of them and even put in over 10 hours in Intrusion 2 (a fun side-scrolling shoot-'em-up that I had never even heard of before then). Now I have a category of games in my library titled "need to play" that is almost 30 games long. These are games that I truly want to play and trust that I would find a lot of enjoyment out of them (the main reason any of us play games at all), but I fear I have become more like someone who purchases comics to slip them, unread, into a plastic sleeve, and display them on a shelf.

Unlike the comic collector, however, (and there is nothing wrong with collecting if that is the goal) I do not find enjoyment in collecting these digital games; I fully intend to play them, but I am always looking to take the next game off of my wishlist or play games that promise easy gratification such as Rocket League (not to knock on Rocket League). I bought Salt and Sanctuary in June, excited to see what a 2D Souls-like would be like, but I have yet to touch it. I cut my teeth on point-and-click adventure games like Kings Quest VII and Torin's Passage, yet there is Grim Fandango Remastered, never opened.

This brings me to the reason for this blog; it is time I truly took advantage of this huge (and I know there are many with larger libraries) pile of games of mine. Until I at least try the games I got for so little, they will remain a waste of money regardless of how cheap they were. For this reason, I have decided to play each game in my Steam Library at random and write on my findings. Many games will be good, even great. Some will be abysmal, but they will be picked without prejudice, and each will be given the time it deserves.

There are a number of omissions and stipulations

1.I am not excluding games that I have played already. Those are fair...game...as well.

2. I will not play free betas of games that tagged along with the full version of a game (e.g. Skull Girls ∞Endless Beta∞).

3. I  will not play a sequel to a game if I own and have not yet played the previous installment. Sequels do not exist within a vacuum and should be viewed within the context of their predecessors.

4. While I vow to give each game a fair shake, the type of game and its quality will determine how much time I give it. I would like to give each game at least five hours of my time, but that is not something I can always guarantee.

5. I will not necessarily put down or stop writing on a game once I pick up a new one.

6. Lastly, these are not the only games I plan to play or write about. For instance, I plan on getting Destiny 2 when that arrives on PC in October and I still play consoles fairly frequently.

Background(Note: I’m still in the process of writing this so it’ll seem like a mess til I get it finished all the way so please bear with me): Was born at The Citadel, making her a Squire(Since she was born into the Brotherhood of Steel). She was 5 years old when her parents(Angus Peyton Everston and Carmen Renee Ruth Everston) died to a SuperMutant Behemoth, leaving her in the care of Elder Owyn Lyons/Sarah Lyons and Leif Axel Gunnar. When she was 9(this takes place during the events of Fallout 3), she decided to leave with Madison Li to The Commonwealth. Leif was reluctant about her leaving at first, since she was basically the only like "family"(She looks alot like her dad, Angus, and Angus was Leif's Lover)he has left, but gave in and let her go, making her promise(also making Madison Li promise) to stay safe and hopefully that they'd meet again someday(They'd end up meeting during the Fire Support question for the Brotherhood of Steel. Also Alex and Nathan Ian Howard’s paths cross during this quest as well, making this the first time they meet). Alex has a family photo of her parents, Leif, Sarah, Squire Arthur Maxson, and her when she was 5. Also has one of her(When she’s 9), Conrad Kellogg, and Madison Li as well. During the events of Fallout 4, she's 19(making her a grown? woman). Conrad Kellogg and Madison Li are her step-parents since she was 9(Also NO I DON’T SHIP Madison Li and Conrad Kellogg together, I just see them as Alex’s step-parents). When Alex was 15?, She begged Kellogg to train her to be like a Mercenary/Field Operative(Like Him)? and Kellogg told her that he didn’t want her going out in The Commonwealth(saying it wasn’t safe lol, and he didn’t want her getting hurt), and it’s safer just to stay at the Institute, but Alex wasn’t having it, and was that’s the EXACT reason why you should train me, and I’m not gonna stay here forever. So, Kellogg and her trained ever since lol. Also even tho Alex IS NOT a synth/android or a courser, she also went thru the Courser rigorous training regimen and passed it. Alex also went on missions with Kellogg since she was 16. When she was 18, she heard about Nuka-World(So this takes place in 2286), and went go it, and kinda made Fizztop Grille her lil getaway home?, well until Overboss Colter and the the gangs show up, Colter was her first? boyfriend?(He technically doesn’t die in my version of Fallout 4, but I’m also working out Alex’s background with @m-is-for-mungo​’s OC Lily Black’s background, and Lily kills him so. 😅😅😅😅), But ye in my version Colter never dies and stays Overboss, with Alex at his side(But she also ends up leaving for long periods of times lol), also they take over the parks, but don’t end up touching The Commonwealth.
