Today's peek at MagicalWed2025 is the treats!! I was lucky enough to have the exact two people I'd want with me to help create all the sweets with me. My sweet little sibling and my dear buddy from NS who I trained as a decorator many years ago ❤️ Honestly without their help I would have been much more stressed over it all.

Big shout out to @daintydoilypon and silo for helping bring all these thing to the venue. Took a huge amount of stress off mine and Flux's shoulders haha. Silo is an excellent driver!

If anyone is wondering where I've been, just know that I'm currently singing sea shanties and having a whale (ate my parents) of a good time playing The Sims Medieval.

Under the cut is a little explanation (and rant) why:

For the past couple of times that The Sims 4 released a new expansion or game pack or had a huge update, I noticed that it gave me a lot of unnecesary worries and stress and left me feeling overwhelmed because I know that the game itself and a lot of mods that I use are going to break. And now with every new pack being released, the never ending game updates, the game temporarily breaking and being unplayable, saves getting corrupted, and the waiting for mods to be updated, it is only getting worse.

I think that what it comes down to for me, is that every time when there is a new pack and/or update, I am getting more afraid that there will be a day that I actually can't play my legacy anymore. Wheter this is due to the game actually becoming totally unplayable, my legacy save getting corrupted to no repair, or mods that I've always used for my legacy getting completely broken and not getting updated anymore. I really hate to say it, but it almost makes me feel mad that EA with every new pack or update they push, they break the game even more than it already is to the point that I need an escape from the game that I normally play to escape. (On a side note, just take a moment to realize how much downloadable content you need if you want to play a fully complete game: With the kits included, there are currently already 89 different purchasable dlc's that cost a total of $1.319,11 (USD) 😩 and EA still continues to add more dlc's at increasing rates over even shorter periods of time).

TS4 is still my favorite game to play (when it works properly at least) and I have absolutely no plans to stop playing it or to abandon my legacy. But I had never really experienced the stress I now get from TS4 pack releases and updates before, and especially this past year I felt like I sometimes needed a little break from it. To deal with this burnout, I had the idea to make a low-key vanilla save to play in when I can't play in my legacy save so I don't have to worry about mods and also wouldn't really mind if that vanilla save got corrupted. But this would mean that I still have to update my game and that I can't play my legacy save offline in case I still want to do that. That's why I started thinking outside of TS4 and decided to download The Sims Medieval to see if it could be a comfort game to fall back on when I can't and/or don't want to open TS4.

I had never played TSM before (nor The Sims 1, 2, or 3 for that matter), but it did interest me and I know that a lot of simmers say that they love this game. I've been playing this game on and off over the last four days now and I'm not going to lie, I had to get used to it and was even a little disappointed with it at first. But then I watched some videos of other people playing it, got back into the game, and finally got the hang of it. The fact that there is so much lore and that the quests give a lot of unexpected storylines and plottwists keep me very engaged. Now I can say that I'm really loving it so far. So if I take a little break from posting my legacy whenever there is another big update for TS4 planned, you know what I'm doing 😊

1 week ago I had the privilege of marrying my best friend. We put in so much time and effort, all so we could create an experience not just for us, but for all our guests to enjoy too. We've made so many things that rather than just bombard you all with everything at once I'd like to make a few posts to showcase a couple things at a time.

Today is the banners! For anyone who wasn't aware our theme was "convention" and we wanted to bring that energy to all our decor. We actually worked with a guy who does the banners, lanyards and things for Anime North 👀 and his quality showed through! For each space of the venue we rented out we got a custom banner made to show our schedule block. Including a special one for the bar showcasing our fancy themed drinks 😉

We also wanted to do something a little different for our guest book, and got a big fancy flag printed for all our lovely people to sign! Flux actually has a flag that's hung in our art room that has many (53..???) signatures from the people who worked on MLP though the years. We figure that we can showcase the two together in the room somehow ❤️

All the work you did with these shows just how talented you are. Your eye for design and layout made each of our banners look professional in a way that I was just in awe of. You're incredible, love you lots 😍

I think, at the end of the day, Penny and Maru have way more chemistry than Maru and Harvey.

They both read, and spend time with each other. Maru never goes to the bar, and Penny hates alcohol.

Maru never spends time with Harvey outside of working hours. Just sitting on a bench with her "best friend".

At this point, I just want to find a mod so Penny can move in with me and Maru, since I think they make a cute couple but I always end up marrying Maru.

I want you guys to know that I put the Rise fam in my Sims 4 game and Splinter immediately started pulling bitches and marrying/knocking up women.

Star Wars: The Old Republic could have at least had the decency to inform me I'd be able to unlock Lesbian Behavior after I got far enough into the expansions. My hot Sith has a whole ass husband and then when I see the option to flirt with a female NPC, it's all out the window.

AND AFTER I'VE HAD THESE EMAILS IN MY BACK POCKET, TOO.

I'M HAVING AN AFFAIR BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE I'D UNLOCK LESBIANISM LATER IN THE GAME. AND I FEEL HORRIBLE ABOUT IT.
