girl i dont know why i am seeing so many posts of ppl being angry about sylus being a new love interest or about rafayel being written one way or another (which confuses me endlessly bc he is a character. i am literally reading everything i can find about him like a woman obsessed and i have seen this pixel man become everything on ao3; sub, switch, dom, even vampire and i am having the time of my life. also quick reminder that writers in fandoms give you content for free. for free. there are literally ppl writing things that are perfection on earth and they are doing it for free. for free and for your entertainmet what a time to be alive.)

I have seen posts of ppl being scared about interacting or writing about rafayel bc of the fandom and i have to say that as a rafayel girlie i want as many ppl as possible to write about him and to have as many povs of him as possible. like literally gatekeeping a character is killing the character, bc no one wants to write about a characters if they have to be afraid of the reaction of others, and again, it doesnt make sense: you will get less fics, less drawings and less everything. youre shooting yourself in the foot.

Also the only problem with this game is the lack of a age limit and i will stand on this hill till the end of days.

and about sylus: girl. g i r l. first and foremost, kudos to the devs for making these pixel men more complex as the game goes on, bc ive seen this man chained, unchained, reading books with glasses in bed like a grandpa and making a salad like a domestic husband all in one week and hes not even in the game yet, so putting him in a box might be a bit against the character himself. also, this loyalty thing makes no sense. ive jumped from zayne to raf and i am probably going to jump again a lil (even if i find raf's character and his duality extremely captivating for some reason).

but again, pls dont gatekeep. ive been in fandoms for years and from my been there done that perspective, nothing harms a fandom more than that, bc it makes ppl pick a side and have arguments and that's a mess.

How is this connected to the OG WDI? demo?

This is mostly its own thing; the only things that are referenced from WDI itself in this game is the general plot (minus the mystery, bc Idk what any of that shit's about) and well, the assets and stuff. This has absolutely no connection to WDI itself and is NOT canon---Brynn, the OG dev, had no real involvement in the development of this mod beyond making the base game which provided the base assets and original premise this mod is derived from.

On the topic of game reception, what are your thoughts on the current state of pokemon?

OK THIS ASK WAS SENT BEFORE THE HUGE LEAK LOL but I have a lot to say:

I watched VHS tapes, played the games, and owned merch since a young age so the series is very special to me. But I don't like the current direction at all and it's not because of the designs or nostalgia. The quality and game performance plummeted so how can I enjoy playing when there's mad lag or low frame rate that hinders my progress and worsen the experience??

It took too many years for them to realize they need to put quality over quantity after the SWSH mess, seeing that they can get away with pretty much ANYTHING and still make huge profit. You see people say that Pokemon should've never went 3D and stay 2D but tbh, it's a series that improves it's graphics as technology advances so it's not a surprise for them to finally go 3D and personally I think that's fine but just keep it looking good and fun (though I would love a 2D/3D hybrid). XY introduced a lot of new features but still lacked in some aspects that still haven't really been solved or added.

Reusing assets is common in the industry but only to a certain extent. They claimed that SWSH was taking a while to make because they were making brand new models which turned out to be a lie and they look like bootleg figures with the new lighting. The 3DS models were ripped from Pokepark, including some animations, but a lot of them still barely have any character. They have their own in-house team (Creatures Inc) so they made the decision NOT to have pokemon properly animated or look alive.... Also they made spin-offs like Ranger, Colosseum, Pokepark, and Pokken which look AMAZING

FRLG took only one year while HGSS was being developed at the same time as Platinum and took 3 years to finish that turned into one of the best games and remakes ever made. As the franchise expands, the team also needs to add more manpower but Game Freak can definitely afford to get more resources to help them?? They can't continue having a ragtag team of like 20 people to make a game back then and do the same now then expect good results... Hire more people who know how create with current gen consoles IT'S COMMON SENSE PLS also I can't believe they had a different company create BDSP knowing how beloved and groundbreaking DPPT was?? No redesigns like the previous remakes and thought it was a good idea to keep it looking a carbon copy to the DS style...

Also it's shocking to see how fan reception can change how the devs direct the next gen ESPECIALLY when it's not even real constructive criticism?? When Unova came out, I remember seeing all the online outcry about "OH THEY HAVE AN ICE CREAM CONE POKEMON AND A TRASH BAG, THEY'RE RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS EW" then actually hear it being repeated at school.... I WAS TRYING TO SURVIVE SINCE DAY 1 IN THE TRENCHES DEFENDING THIS GAME IT WAS ALWAYS GOOD AND DIDN'T NEED 10 YEARS TO AGE WELL. It's crazy how these are the same people who want another Kanto when Trubbish is Grimer (garbage waste) and Vanillite is Voltorb (based on literal items) then you could not catch any other pokemon from different regions in the main game. And the leak confirmed that the disgruntled hate from the west made the devs not release new pokemon in B2W2 and move them over to XY instead AND NOT GIVE A SINGLE GEN 5 MEGA EVOLUTION. So we were robbed because of genwunners who were fixated on the wrong things and ignored all the great content Unova brought us. It's strange how players keep complaining they want a different and fresh game, but want it to continue being super formulaic and binary like wtf do you want make up your mind

None of the switch titles really got me invested and I always end up replaying the older games but hopefully PLZA will break the curse and finally give us a nice game. Also why don't we have more spin-offs on the switch if there's so many of them floating around like the DS had a bunch??? No, I wasn’t kicked off the team, nor was I invited back when I left- and they made the right choice doing that. I was not mentally stable. I didn’t take the project seriously, I had jealousy issues, and didn’t take criticism well- I self destructed badly- blew up and burned that bridge to ashes, not to mention what sorta hurt I caused the team.

It did hurt a lot when I saw the game release. I was so upset, and spent so many weeks thinking about “what if I didn’t fuck up”. But there are no “what ifs” in history, we are meant to go through what we do in order to become the best versions of ourselves. The whole ordeal was part of the last push I needed to finally seek professional help. And the fact it still hurts whenever I see it around means I still care and carry guilt about everything that happened.

I’m practicing exposure therapy to try and heal that gaping wound. RE8 has turned my life completely on its head and I don’t want to abandon it- the best outcome will be the day I can download and play the game and find it within myself to genuinely love it with no more wounds to lick- but for now I’m content with seeing it float around every once in a while on my dash.

Out of respect- I hope none of you will pester the devs about this either. They did something amazing, and I’m so proud of what they’ve accomplished. Out of all of them I really miss MJ. They were the best, most hilarious friend- I always thought they were super attractive- and the whole reason the game was possible. Show them some love- idk message them “you’re cool!” for me or something. Anon ask if you have to. Don’t tell them I’m the one who sent you- I think it’ll be funny to just have a whole buncha people messaging them outta nowhere bahaha

And with that I hope this clears it up and stops people from messaging anymore about it. It’s still a sensitive wound I’m working to heal and I’d like to do it at my own pace<3 I don’t regret the experience, I’m in such a better place now because of it. I would love to make peace with my past self and accept the pain as a part of growing.

Until then enjoy me going back to my usual shenanigans before all the shit hit the fan. I’m very excited to draw more Spider Donna and Beneviento Sisters, I hope y’all enjoy it too<3

I wish ppl would stop saying Sylus is hated by the devs. I'm a Sylus main and I understood from day 1 he would be behind since he released 6 mons after just like Caleb will always be behind the first 3 AND Sylus at 1 year behind. What do ppl expect? What are 3* even good for? U can't demand a newly released character has the same amount of content as those released months or years prior. That's just not logical. In main story she knew him for only like a week so it makes sense we gotta wait for more bond moments or anecdotes. They can't reveal mysteries when their story hasn't progressed in main at all. THAT is what ppl should complain about. No main story progress which hinders revelation and content release for Sylus and Caleb who came later. Pls think critically everyone & stop putting us Sylus fans to shame with demands that don't make sense

yeah i get your point but sylus isn’t a newly released character anymore, CALEB is - he just became official this year - and he’s already getting content faster than sylus. it’s 100% understandable that questions will be raised. i was surprised that caleb got his 2nd myth + kiss card so fast bc since we had to wait so long for sylus’, i thought it was a staple. even the og trio had to wait around 6 months to get their 1st kiss cards.

i also agree that infold should release more main story content instead of just quick banners with short breaks between them. however, if we consider that most banners have no impact in the main story whatsoever, it becomes even weirder. i’m not demanding anything, i was just wondering why are things working the way they are, bc this releasing schedule feels confusing.

on a second note, questioning an enterprise doesn’t put anyone to “shame”. this game is expensive and players are costumers spending real money on it. if a costumer isn’t satisfied with something, it’s not a “shame” to question it.

Alaris Release Question

i have a question to ask you all it is very important so pls vote if u have an opinion!!!!

long story short but alaris won't be able to have a full release this year (WAH!!). i'll explain a bit more under the poll for those who are curious, but it's just not looking like it'll be in the cards.

i am as sad (if not sadder) than you all are, which is why i got to thinking about a different release approach. i know devs have done segmented releases in the past, so i was curious if it would be something you all are interested in! There are two ways this can go:

Release Alaris in segments. This would mean releasing the four Central routes first which means getting content sooner and then releasing the two Fae routes later

Traditional Full Release. This would mean releasing all of Alaris at the same time, but would of course mean waiting longer before you can play the full game.

at the end of the day, each one has its own pros and cons and what i'm most interested in is what you as players would want.

SOOOOO..... Please vote for which you would prefer! Either way, Alaris will be $5-$7 so there won't be a price difference between the two options. The only difference is when you'll get access to the content!

regarding the release, it's not for any serious reason, it's just not looking possible with where we are currently at </3 even though we've made a lot of progress, there's still so much to do in the dev process. and that last 10% of polishing a game is always way more time consuming than you might expect.

as u all might know, we are about halfway through the year now that we are in june and while it is exciting we have entered beta access for kayn and will start the beta phase of development, i'm not quite as far along with alaris as i would've hoped for a full release. even if i were to go full speed ahead, i like to give about a month for playtesting each route so we can polish the game as much as we can before public release. which means even if i was able to get each route out every month until the year ends, it won't be enough time for a 2024 release.

i was thinking a segmented release could allow for players to get content sooner and might ease some of the pressure on me for releasing the full game as soon as possible. and with there being something like a "human" faction (the central routes) and a "fae" faction (kuna'a and aisa), the game kinda nicely divides itself, especially since the fae routes uncover most of the overall story's plot/mystery. but it all depends on whether players would be interested in that too hence ✨poll✨

Soo I was thinking about making a small tutorial for F2P players for love and deep space. It's definitely a grindy game, even more than genshin especially the version prior to the recent 2.0 update (version 1.0 and after)

Like I deleted the game before because of two reasons:

1) Not enough storage, I played it on my phone so it's very laggy too

2) It's not F2P friendly and I remember the limited banners only lasted less than a week.

3) The micro transaction was crazy as well. So like I don't have enough time to save a lot of gems for even a 15 pull. And I didn't know a lot of stuff that you can do in game 💀 (aka clueless af)

It's like you HAVE to spend money on this game if you have a FOMO 😭. So I just don't gaf anymore (low-key petty, but that's just me)

Now I downloaded it back on my tablet and I can see some improvement. Such as:

Now it's easier to grind for materials, they included a skip button which consumes 8 or 80 stamina depending on what you choose

Giving out (back to back) free 5* memories - Now is the Sylus Memory (Immobilized card) which you can obtain by completing the event that's ongoing right now and the upcoming Rafayel memory card.

More content which gives out a lot of gems

Even so, there is still one problem that I wish the devs would take into consideration and hopefully fix/improve them; The gacha system. This is also one of the main reasons a lot of people spend tons of money or have to break their F2P streak. Like bro.. it's so much worse than genshin, mostly the pity. Cause wdym more than 5 people I saw reached 90 pity but still didn't get the memory 💀 not even one 5 star. I mean yeah, there are people who are lucky but most I've seen is that they had 1K ish gems reduced to dust but didn't get the card they wanted. I'm putting this problem in the survey so I sincerely hope the developers listen pls.

I haven't played in like 6 months I think so I missed out a lot, but like I said they did improve some stuff in the game compared to when I first played it. I remember it wasn't fun for me but I stick around for a while because I like the customization and the story. And I also remember there wasn't a lot of content to grind for gems unlike now, I mean that's a given since it's new. So it's clear they do listen to players' grievances, I assume. I hope they do so as the game progresses.

I'll probably do some like, tutorial on how you can get gems and stuff if you're a busy person or whatever hehe cause rn my gems are around 7K and I downloaded LnDs just last week when sylus was first released (yes I came back because of this dude 😭). Even I'm suprised I could obtain that much when I can't even get to more than 3K gems before this lol. So yeah maybe I'll do it soon.

the fact that I know exactly what you're talking about when it comes to some very loud people complaining about lack of content and trying to make everyone else miserable because of it.

I'm also baffled people don't read the anecdotes or the world underneath stories. they shine so much light about the story and the characters. I understand people who want to focus on their main but there's people who are participating in discourse without even knowing the lore of their main. I'm like....dude, wtf? 🙃

I saw some Zayne mais who didn't really know why Dawnbreaker came to be and I was shocked cause it's such a huge part of Zayne's character. Dawnbreaker killing his monster father at the same time Zayne accidently hurt MC with his evol. And that's also when Dawnbreaker started 'haunting' Zayne in his dreams. How are you gonna join discourse about Dawnbreaker if you don't even know his lore? 😔

i LOVE lingering warmth, you have no idea. It's one of my favorite cards. The way MC was angry at him for not telling her but he just kept hugging her and how he wanted to laugh at her imitating him. The little kiss on her cheek. And this is Zayne when they're just seeing each other 'casually' (they were both down bad already).

Fragmented Dream is also one of my ultimate favorites but their relationship there has gotten a bit more serious. But just the fact he has a nightmare, holds her and tells her she's the hunter killing all the monsters on his dreams. Hs's so in love and he never, ever hesitates in telling her how amazing he thinks she is.

And then there's that time MC has to be hospitalized and she runs from the hospital and Zayne is pissed. He drives her home and even though he's angry, he waits until she's safe inside her home to drive away.

I'm getting carried away but again, the way they develop their relationship works for them and their dynamic. Which is why it's so impactful and sweet to see them being official and Zayne acting so carefree, nuzzling his face on her tummy, saying she's the girl he loves. Because it was such a journey to get to this stage, he was so torn between literally pulling her close, asking her not to leave him but then there were times he kept his distance because what if he hurts her, what if he loses control. To see him giving in completely and accepting that she's ready to face anything together with him us such a joy.

I think all the spicy cards before Nightly Rendezvous are left open to the players interpretation. Maybe they did it, maybe they didn't and each interpretation is valid.

I like the different dynamic MC has with the the LIs too! If she acted somewhat similar with all of them, it'd take away from the experience. Which is why it's useless to compare the LIs. They all have their unique interactions, dynamics and such.

Anyway, yeah, some people don't like Engraved Heart which is surprising. God, I love that hug. He's so tall and handsome, that hug would heal me.

The devs feed us so much contents, people consume only a small fraction of it, and then have the audacity to complain about no new contents. Pls, I've been playing over a year and I still don't have time to catch up on Raf and Xav's contents. sorry you won't catch me joining any of those discourses 😌

omg those early 4* Tender Moments are everything. You can feel something is developing between them, but it's all subtle and mindful, but also assured, it's just so...ugh, I have no words sorry. It's just reading in between the lines and you get a sense of so much about their developing relationship at this point.

Which is why it's useless to compare the LIs.

omg LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. I absolutely do not understand the need for competition among the LIs. What's the point of a popularity contest at all??? These are all amazing well-developed characters with such interesting stories. I like that they all have different personalities, which is appealing for different people. It's great that people can find the LI they gravitate towards more. I remember reading accounts of how some people were initially interested because of Sylus, but once they've played and read the stories, they've decided that Xavier, Rafayel, or Zayne were more their type.
