Second Helpy-related art in a row for today!

Some personal insight below :)

I’m not sure how many people care, but if I may put my own input into Steel Wool’s versions of Helpy, I’m not entirely sold on the old and evil thing just yet. Sure he’s my favorite, and love him being relevant. But even if I could have him being relevant in exchange for him being evil? I don’t think I’d take it. Though since most of these guys seem to be completely unrelated to the FFPS original, maybe the original is still out there somewhere :) I just wanna see him or some other nice Helpy again.

It’s funny that this is the second day in a row I’m posting art of Helpy right as the month started, that was unintentional, maybe I could make this a month thing? Helpy June doesn’t really have a flow to it. I’m also not really sure if I have ideas or motivation to draw daily for a month because of my classes. And gosh I hadn’t even considered the releases happening this month, SOTM included! Not to mention June is also already pride month. Wonder what that implies of Helpy June…

AU where Mr. D claiming to be Percy’s dad accidentally counts as Claiming according to Greek god law or whatever and now all the other gods legitimacy believe Percy is his son, but if Mr. D corrects it, he has to explain to Zeus why he pretended he was Percy’s dad so now he’s like “YEP ol’ Perry Johansson is MY child wowie just look at the little fry, you have your mother’s eyes. Please stop standing next to water or you will blow my cover”

I think before Edwin took over the company/before Fazbear Entertainment contracted the company, Mr. Helpful used to be this rat.

a lil colour for a change (how rare!), as I won't be able to draw more Lux for a while, alas- work work work...

darn character development! gonna ruin his reputation did I mention they have to travel around bringing light back to various worlds lost in the darkness and it's extremely wholesome at times

katsuki LOVES seeing you spend his money. you tell him you're having a bad day? he's sending you some money and telling you to buy something nice for yourself. you guys are going out on a date? he reminds you not to bring your wallet—he's got it. and you've reminded him time and time again that he doesn't have to do any of that, that you feel bad spending his money!!! but he doesn't care.

he reminds you every time that he wants to spend his money on you, no matter how big or small. he knows full well that you can pay for the things he buys you. he knows how hard you work for your money, how dedicated you are to your job.

but if he's there, why should you have to worry about anything at all?

I've seen a few different people talk about how they're disappointed in how Odysseus and Athena's reunion went, saying that they don't like how they didn't reconnect and left the bridge burnt because he is now a "monster". I didn't interpret this part this way. I think Athena is still looking for her warrior to train and needed to be told that it couldn't be Odysseus anymore.

I feel like a lot of the epic fandom forgets how old Odysseus is suppose to be at this point because Jorge still looks and sounds like a young man but Odysseus is likely somewhere in his early forties or even getting close to fifty. He has spent the last 20 years of his life fighting and all he wants now is to stay home and grow old with his family. Athena was offering him a chance to help her change the world and help people be better. He isn't telling her no because he's angry at her or the world, he's just tired. He's fought too hard to get home to turn around and go start another fight. She needs to find someone younger, who still has faith that people can be good and has the energy to fight for that belief. (Someone like Telemachus who in the animatic shows every sign of being willing to be that warrior and help Athena). Odysseus even brings up that she's immortal and will have the all the time in the world to make a better place for people to live in but he reminds her that it isn't something his mortal lifespan will allow him to pursue.

He wants her to make the world she believes in and wishes her the best but he cannot be her warrior anymore and I think she accepts that and lets him rest.
