Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, Blue!!
🧃 🍄 🦋 - For the Ask Game
Good morning! <3
🧃 ⇢ share some personal lore you never posted about before
I managed to pass every single one of my bachelor's classes at the first try... except one. This course was basically two ENTIRELY different subjects with no link between them* shoved together in one package, with two different exams you had to take literally at the same time. And I only studied for one exam and did nothing for the other, so I naturally failed it XD The unfortunate thing is that my knowledge of a few weeks of class alone netted me a 4.6 still (passing grade is 5.5 minimum), so if I had studied, I'd probably have passed both exams still. Oh well, hindsight and what-not, and I passed the failed exam the second try anyway ^-^ AND ACTUALLY now that I think about it, this was when the first Sonic movie was in theaters!!! Around the 14th of February 2020! Me failing that exam meant I could go back to my university's city instead of staying over at my parents' in the resit week and watch the movie at my leisure :>
*this is not an exaggeration, btw. There was literally one (1) sentence in my whole probably-40-page summary of the course that linked the two.
🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
I can see Silver have an interest in cooking: it's one of those quaint, connecting, human things people do, and I think he'd like that. Espio meanwhile is desperately trying to feed himself and two others on an ever-dwindling budget and with limited resources galore. So, I think the two of them would team up to cook together! Plus, I can imagine Silver just appears with cans of food and what-not that he makes Espio take and use, that he's brought with him from the future. Espio is always grateful for his help; Silver is about the only person he doesn't immediately kick from the kitchen when he starts working on dinner <3
🦋 ⇢ share something that has been on your heart and mind lately
I'm worried about my parents, they're working themselves to the bone... I know stress and sleeping poorly are unhealthy, especially over longer periods of time...

Rank of my job experiences by net value to society:
1) Summer camp 1 (2019): providing a reliable childcare service to the population during the summer months, possibly maybe passing down English skills to the children, satisfying and rewarding
2) Language school academic office (2022): knowing English Is useful to people and I know for certain that I was more useful to the office than any other intern on account of not being 17 year old, also I waged a very successful campaign against paper waste during that time if I say so myself
3) Ice cream shop (2019): ice cream certainly adds value to society. For simplicity we'll ignore I was so so very bad at it
4) Tutoring (I have a genuine hole of whether this was 2017-2018 despite the fact the vibes and daily life of both these years should be WILDLY different): helped a kid get somewhat better grades in freshman year, the most useless time for a kid to focus on schoolwork of the entire Italian education cycle
5) Street food stall (2023): we need it like air as street food fairs are our only cultural events
6) Gas station bar (2018): an useful service to those getting gas
7) Public service exam hostess (2023): publics exams are extremely important to society. Idk whether my job of sequestering the phones and handing them back made an impact though because I don't think you can cheat on that sort of thing anyway
8) Dishwasher (2018): fish restaurants are liked by people and are important to local economy though bad for the environment
9) Inventory(2023-2024): has its place in the supply chain when its a grocery store, it's a mind-breaking journey through every way we found to waste plastic most of the time though
10) Winx club party (2023): it's the Winx. What am I supposed to say
11) McDonald's (2021-2022): certainly productive, however that chain shouldn't exist
12) Summer camp 2 (2023): actively detracts from society by promoting the American idea of well-roundedness, helicopter parenting, anxiety and dehydration, but it is fun and rewarding sometimes
13) Interviewer (2023-2024): the worst statistic campaign ever concocted. An annoyance to the public, a stream of very compromised data to the company and not even a lot of money to myself
14) COVID safety usher on campus (2020-2021?): the bullshit job of bullshit jobs

I'm chasing after myself, looking for ghosts of myself wherever I go: in the driver's seat of another Honda on the opposite side of the intersection...maybe I'll see the top of my head behind a planter through the waiting room window as I drive past my cats' vet office. Tonight I revisited the grounds of a residential treatment facility I was at in 2020- I found its website and scrolled through the pictures and saw afterimages of myself in almost all of the photos. From the balcony in the art room, I looked down and saw my grey sweatshirt arms laid on top of the paint-splattered table. In a picture of the empty cafeteria I could almost see myself in profile, my little plastic meal tray (soy milk, decaf coffee, banana, eggs) in front of me. When looking at a picture of the pond, volleyball net perpendicular, I saw my hunched back as I sat alone and looked at the fall leaves across the water.
I'm trying to catch up with myself, but my hand swipes right through the shirt collar. I follow her around the curves of my apartment complex when she is on her summer walks (its winter now), I spy on her through the window of the sandwich shop as she orders her dinner, I sit on the couch and watch her walk through the door at the end of a more successful day. My swollen eyes are almost closed, but hers are still bright and open. Wait, Ashley- don't set your lunchbox down or go to the kitchen, come here. Integrate with me and possess me. Take me back to a time when I couldn't see the end of so many things. Ashley in front of her pink, plastic-roofed dollhouse, Ashley holding her paper music book in front of her in the high school choir room, Ashley eating a shortbread cookie and studying for her college statistics exam, Ashley hustling and sweating between the retail aisles for her second job as a grocery deliverer- you all dropped dead where you were and you remain there. Every corner of every room, every park walkway, every country road, every bookstore is haunted. I’m the ghosts. I’m the ghost.
