Wassupp! So...I'm in the dreamies phase again😭 soo like...the Seonghwa angel request will take a while since I'm stuck in a writer's block for that one (╥﹏╥)

Anyways here's dad!mark~

pairings : dad!mark x Female oc (as his wife but doesn't appear in the story)

"Appa! Appa! Appa!" an overly excited Geonu pulled on his father's shirt while jumping like a bunny.

"I can hear you if you didn't already know. You're supposed to be asleep...what's wrong?" he asked his son who kept jumping causing a chuckle to leave his mouth.

"I can't sleep without a storyy!" he said making his father groan.

"Geonu, I'm busy...can't you sleep without a story?" Mark said making a large fit of whines to leave the little boy's lips.

"Nooo, eomma always tells me one before I go to bed!" he said causing his father to freeze at the mention of his wife.

He let out a sigh as he remembered the way you barged out of the house with tears on your face after a really bad fight. None of that was supposed to happen but it did and now you were in your sister's house and he knew you weren't returning anytime soon. Geonu had no clue as to what happened due to still being at school that time. Telling him you would be out of town for while-

"Please...eomma always tells me one." softening at the sight of his son's glossy big eyes that resembled yours.

"Alright...go wait for me in the bed, I'll be there in a sec." Mark said as Geonu excitedly waddled to his bedroom causing Mark to let out a chuckle.

"You ready?" Mark asked Geonu, sitting beside him on his bed.

"Yes!" Geonu exclaimed and laid his head on Mark's chest.

"Since I don't have any stories to tell you...I'll tell you how I met eomma." he said as Geonu nodded.

"I originally first met your eomma at a summer camp during middle school but it was at high school that I got to actually know her and let me tell you...she was gorgeous, the most beautiful person I ever laid eyes on...she still is, her beauty wasn't the only thing that intrigued me." Mark said as Geonu looked at Mark in confusion.

"It wasn't?" he asked as Mark shook his head and ran his fingers through Geonu's hair.

"Nope...you might not know this but your eomma has a black belt in karate, the undefeated champion of Korea for 5 years...she would always use her strength to defend the weak and punish the bullies." Mark said as he smiled, memories hitting him like a fresh breeze.

"That seems like a very eomma thing to do! I can't wait to tell Dasom and Dawon!" Geonu said referring to Jisung's twins who were coincidently their playmates and friends at school.

"Don't brag too much or else you'll regret it." Mark said with a chuckle.

"Eh? Appaa! Continue!" Geonu asked as Mark smiled.

"Alright, alright....so yeah...I got to know your eomma at high school since we had around four classes together. At first I found her a bit scary since she was so strong but as time went on I realised that the both of us had a lot of similarities.

Like our same love for watermelons and music. I also found out that she followed me on soundcloud which came as a shock to me since I only had like 8 followers so I was touched...so touched. And in no time we became besties. Hanging out on the weekends and helping out at her family dojo be came my favorite pass time especially since I get bored really easily." Mark said earning a nod of agreement from Geonu.

"I agree, appa your interest level is only 20 percent that's what me and eomma think." he said as Mark let out a laugh.

"Is that so huh?" Mark asked causing Geonu to nod.

"Appa, when did you ask eomma out?" Geonu asked as Mark chuckled at the memory.

"I asked her out right after she threw a punch to my stomach." Mark said with a sigh, still remembering your face after he confessed.

"Why did she punch you?" Geonu asked.

"Because I indirectly told her she was too intimidating and boyish without realising, so she got angry." he said making Geonu giggle.

"So you told her you loved her?" Mark nodded at that.

"Yep...she slapped me right after I confessed." Mark said rubbing his cheek and smiling sweetly.

"Appa...you love eomma don't you?" Geonu asked his dad who chuckled at the response.

"Of course I do! Why do you ask?"

"If you really love her then tell her you're sorry..." Geonu said making Mark widen his eyes.

"You always give off a guilty/sad vibe whenever you upset eomma and also...uncle Haechan told me." Geonu replied causing Mark to make a mental note to kick Haechan's ass tomorrow morning.

"I'm sorry...I know eomma is probably really really sad with me but I promise you that I'll apologize to her...even if it means to get a punch from her." Mark said earning him a hug from Geonu.

"I know..." Geonu said with a yawn as Mark lulled him to sleep and sat down on the floor beside the bed of your empty shared bedroom. He took out his phone and sent you a voice message.

"Hey...it's me..."

- Oh boy. I am not liking that opening shot that makes Pabu look like Tantiss 😭😭

- It’s so cloudy and dark—it must be the fall season going into winter

- Also this is the first time we’ve seen Crosshair without his outer pauldrons on!! Now he can’t stab someone’s eye out if he stands next to them 😆

- I love how Omega says Batcher

- Oh yeah Omega go walk into the scary cave that Batcher is afraid to go into. And walk up to a strange ship that you don’t recognize 😅

- I do honestly wish Ventress’ character reveal had been kept a secret and wasn’t in the trailer. This moment would hit so much harder. But it’s very good to see her finally show up.

- Love the subtle nod to how Hunter seems to hear Batcher first, and Crosshair sees her first, showcasing their different skill sets and how well they work in tandem.

- Wow Ventress looks so good!! The hair! The outfit! Her in this animation style!

- Lol of course she already knows everything about them.

- Why does Crosshair keep suspiciously leaving a space between him and Hunter where a certain bespectacled Batch member is supposed to be standing 🥺

- “We never gave her our coordinates” 😬😬😬

- Love how serious but also calm and curious Ventress is. You can already see how much more at peace with herself she is compared to TCW (I have not read Dark Disciple but I am aware of the basics of her arc in it).

- “It’s for a friend…you’re saying I’m a Jedi!?!” Baby girl, don’t you know that Nala Se basically engineered you all to be TERRIBLE liars 🤣🤣😅 absolutely no one ever was going to believe those words coming out of your mouth, not with that adorable face

- Loving the lore drops that Ventress is giving here. Using the word midichlorians, tying force sensitivity and blood count to TPM and Ahsoka and the OT. Acknowledging that training is what makes you a Jedi, not your m-count. That the Force connects all living things. Bringing up the age old fandom question of whether clones could be force sensitive.

- “There’s your intel” turns around to leave

- “No one’s been able to give me answers” and we’re not going to leave this episode with any either 😅

- Omega isn’t usually this impatient, so I wonder if her focus is easier to hold when she’s focused on people and creatures rather than tasks that she can’t connect to what she’s trying to accomplish.

Omg I was in a kind of situationship too 😭 it was around a year ago. Him and I were friends from fifth grade, and he was one of my first male friends. I had a crush on him back then but I never told him that. and he had surprisingly confessed that he too had a crush on me. But I still didn't tell him cuz I was too afraid and we were just too young for this shit lol.

However the next year I broke things off with my friend group and since he was also good friends with them, I thought he probably wouldn't want to talk to me anymore. So I decided to stay away from him from then onwards. And then covid happened too, which made it impossible to have any communication in person.

Fast forward to a few years later, he reached out to me on Instagram and we started chatting day and night about so many things. We cleared up misunderstandings like I thought he didn't want to do anything with me anymore and he thought my mom (a teacher in our school lol) forbade me from talking to him. He also started low-key flirting with me, complimenting here and there and saying corny shit 😂. However, a few months later his responses started getting dry and would keep me on sent for a long time. I didn't realize I was literally embarrassing myself by texting even after he once kept me unseen for days. He gradually ghosted me like that and a couple of months later unfollowed me.

Now he claims in front of his friend (that friend is my friend too) that he was just playing around and thought I got the hint. When he "realized I was quite serious about whatever was going on" he decided it was best to just ghost me. It's just funny now how he completely claims he never liked me when the things he'd say to me were so contradictory. It's been like a year now, I don't like him anymore but still feel hurt whenever I remember things.

Jayce, despite having a big complexion, has 0 alcohol tolerance. He can get absolutely wasted with half a glass of red wine.

Viktor, true to his russian motiff, drinks strawberry vodka shots like apple juice. It`s incredible hard for him to get drunk, and even when he *does*, he is one of those stoic drunkers who can pass for sober.

So in a party Jayce is like "Nooo stay away from the champagne, It`s you are gonna get drunk 😭😭" And Viktor is like "???"

Cut to 3 hours later and Viktor dragging an extremely clinging Jayce across his living room

When Jayce told him the drink was strong, Viktor thought he was joking. It was more juice than wine. Some bubbly thing a co-worker ordered to start. He had never been to an academy mixer but if this was the standard he felt he was in for a night of disappointment.

Luckily after that the group spread out. Sky introduced him to a mathematician who had some interesting things to say on chaos theory that were up and coming in his field. After two whiskeys, a bourbon, and a shot of something bitter and liquorice, he was finally feeling something. Enough to take the edge off at least.

Unfortunately, that is when Sky intervened.

“Hey Viktor, can you go check on Jayce?” She said, glancing over where he was holding counsel with professors.

He seemed fine. His face was flushed and he was guesticulating a little more than normal but... He gave Sky a nod, and excused himself from the conversation.

As he approached, he started to get more wary. Not only was Jayce moving a bit more, but he was loud, loud enough that several tables were unoccupied around him. Of course that didn’t stop others from hanging on his every word.

Getting closer, Jayce locked eyes with him, a wide smile forming on his face. “There he is!” he nearly yelled. “That's the genius I was talking about!”

All heads turned to look at him. Oh. Jayce was drunk.

Viktor awkwardly nodded at the collective. “Hello...everyone...” Jayce seemed to lack all awareness of his surroundings. “Jayce, might I have a word?”

“Yeah, what do you need!” He said a little too cheerfully. Not moving from his seat.

This was painful, how much had he had to drink? “Privately. Please?”

“Oh. Oh yes! Yes I can do that!” Jayce said enthusiastic to do a simple task. In his eagerness to get up, he nearly knocked his chair over and came to stand way too close to Viktor. He wasn’t swaying at least and he didn’t smell heavily of alcohol. Viktor looked around, the bar was awfully crowded at this hour. They might need to step outside.

“Come on then.” Viktor mumbled, leading his larger friend out of the building.

As soon as they were outside Jayce hissed at the temperature change. “Heeey it’s cold out here, let’s go back inside.” he whined.

“Jayce, no. Also what happened to your jacket?” Jayce was down to just his shirtsleeves. And he was hastily trying to roll them down to combat the slight chill.

“Um...I don’t remember...” He stuck out his lip in a pout. Viktor could not believe his eyes.

“Jayce, how much have you had to drink tonight?”

“Not like...a lot!” He was a terrible liar, and Viktor’s skepticism must have shown because he just kept talking, “No no no really, like it wasn’t anything. I’m fine! Maybe I’m loud,” He said, spreading his hands wobbling a bit, “but we’re talking, we’re having a conversation! Just talk to me Vik you’ll see I’m fine!”

Nevermind that the logic was baffling, clearly by having this conversation anyone could tell he was smashed. He needed to apply drunk logic to this situation.

“Jayce the sooner you tell me what you drank, the sooner we can go inside.” he said calmly.

Jayce stuck his hands in his armpits and wiggled a bit, rolling back his eyes like he was trying to remember.

“Wine and beer.”

Unhelpful. “How much wine and beer?”

“A wine. A beer.” He said in a sing-song sort of way.

Viktor blinked. That shouldn’t be possible. Jayce was a good head taller than him and built like an ox. How could a single wine and beer do this to him?

Jayce started bouncing a bit. His cheeks were flushed and that ridiculous pout returned. “Can we go back in now?”

Viktor couldn’t let Jayce go back inside to keep drinking. He had to take him home before he made more of an ass out of himself. He sighed, but not before finding his jacket.

“Yes, we need to find your jacket. Then we can go home.” Viktor said plainly.

“What? Home? Nooo.” Jayce whined, “But this is your first time at the mixer, I want you to have fun.”

“I had fun and now I would like to go home.” He needed Jayce to come with him, “Please Jayce? Let’s go back to your apartment.”

Jayce petulantly turned away, “But I wanted to hang out and drink with you...” he mumbled.

Viktor did his best not to sigh again, “Well...I am done drinking for tonight. So how about we go back to your apartment and...” to borrow a phrase, “hang out there.”

Jayce’s face lit up. “You mean it?”

“Em yes...” Nevermind that he was going to try and get Jayce in bed as soon as possible. “Now, let's try and find your jacket and head home.” He said one last time, because he had no confidence that Jayce retained any of it.

“Okay.” And Jayce smiled so sweetly. Genuinely happy to make Viktor happy.

Viktor turned to go inside, but Jayce laid a hand on his arm, “Ooh oh shit, Viktor wait! I just remembered, I had another half a beer.” He said terribly chagrined,“...can we still go back inside? I’m sorry I forgot.”

Viktor blinked, “I…yes Jayce we can still go inside.”

Thankfully they were able to gather Jayce’s things. A few of the professors had taken to watching over them in his progressing inebriated state. From there it was easy enough to call a taxi to take them back to Jayce’s. It was not easy however to ignore how their cab driver was watching them from the driver's seat. Jayce’s growing fame seemed to draw more eyes by the day.

It didn’t help that Jayce was in quite a state. He didn’t want to sit on opposite sides of the cab, he wanted to sit next to Viktor. So he crawled into the middle. He leaned most of his weight onto him and asked, “Which place are we going? Mine?” In a terrible attempt at a stage whisper.

Viktor made eye contact with the cabbie, instantly blushing. “Yes. I’m trying to get you home to bed.”

“Aw bed? Noooo you said we could do other stuff!” Jayce said, getting right into Viktor’s personal space.

He didn’t have time for this. “Jayce, we are in someone’s cab right now, let’s talk about this at your apartment.” He whispered. “We’ll hang out there, alright?”

“Fine...” Jayce mumbled, leaning harder into him, “You’re so bony Viktor. What’s with that.” he whined.

Viktor could not wait to be done with this.

After a brief fight over Jayce’s keys, they were finally inside. Jayce unceremoniously flopped onto his couch, without taking his shoes off, and started prattling about...well as best as Viktor could make out, a wizard.

Thankfully he had been in Jayce’s apartments before, so he knew his way around the kitchen enough to get them both water.

“...Did you know that Felix’s last illusion involved a real tiger? Like a real one, he brought it on stage and everything, he was amazing. He had the coolest tattoo’s, Viktor do you have any tattoos?”

“No. Drink this.” He handed him the water, then gently prodded him to get up. As he didn’t trust him to have the sense to avoid trying to drink it lying down.

Jayce moved from his stomach to a sitting position, took the water and began to gulp its contents. Viktor tried not to stare as it dribbled down his chin.

“Your shoes are still on, you know?” He took a seat beside him.

“Ah shit…” he mumbled.

That earned a smirk, Jayce was pleasantly amenable in this state. A little like an eager to please toddler, if that toddler was 6 foot something, made of solid muscle, and took to swearing liberally.

With his shoes kicked off, he leaned back, glass pressed against his chest. With an absolutely lopsided smile plastered on his face. “Hi Viktor.”

“Hi Jayce.”

“You look very cross with me.” He said playfully.

“I am just having trouble understanding how you became so drunk on so very little.”

“That’s hardly my fault.” He pouted.

“I wasn’t blaming you, I’m not even that mad. You… can just be a handful like this. That’s all.” Jayce was staring intently at him.

“It’s a very good thing you have two hands then.” He said seriously.

A beat passed.

Viktor burst out laughing. It was so stupid. What an absolutely dumb solution. Dumb. He dissolved into groaning unbridled laughter as Jayce was soon giggling alongside him. Unable to keep himself upright. His water sloshing out of his glass, as he slid down the couch.

“Ah fuck.” He giggled from the floor, which only made Viktor laugh harder.

When the laughter subsided, Viktor had a stitch in his side, and he was wiping away tears. Jayce was no better, head in his hands, still slightly wheezing.

“Are you even close to sobering up?”

“Ahhh,” he removed his hands from his face, wincing, “Mayyybe? I don’t want to be though…”

“And why is that?”

“Mmm, I like not having to think so much. It’s nice just to be with you and we don’t have to talk about work…” the corners of his mouth crinkled with a shy half smile.

“We can talk about magicians.” Viktor supplied.

“Yes! Magicians!” Jayce said enthusiastically. “I love magic!” Throwing his hands up in support.

Viktor smiled, “Heh, alright. Tell me about your favorite magician.”

Jayce lit up like a streetlight and launched into a rambling spiel about someone named Gideon. Viktor made himself more comfortable on the couch knowing this was something Jayce could talk about at length. He turned this new information around in his mind, Jayce wanted to talk more with him outside of work…he enjoyed his company. More than just as a work partner…It was nice. Jayce had always been very friendly, but it was nice to confirm it wasn’t just surface level.

“He was the best at up close magic, you know?” Jayce said enthusiastically.

“Right.” Viktor replied. And Jayce’s smile made the whole night very worthwhile.

So... Episode 3 of The Devil Judge... let's get into it! I wrote a page of notes, this episode had a lot to offer. But before we get into it, let's just recap on the ending of episode 2... cauuussseeee

I was watching the UST confrontation, thinking they were going to bang against the windows. I'm minding my own business, just admiring the cinematography - as they had bisexual lighting throughout -

Then shit blew up! And they're saving each other like all angsty vampy boyfriends do.

(he should have carried him bridal style... just sayin')

Then we get into episode 3. Which has all of the marks of every Forced Proximity Yaoi story ever! Even includes non-consensual touching and one character (usually the younger) not being allowed to leave or move around their surroundings freely... which is... fun. "It's not like I want to do it" sure, Jan. (also, they keep mentioning their age gap, I think they're into it.....)

This leads to Gaon's Belle arc of discovering what's in the west wing. (The house's decor is super... not my taste). The Nanny/mother step-in character reminds me of Bae Hae Sun's character in Hotel De Luna (Choi Seo Hee). Daddy Bandit is super possessive over his new twink, even going as far as almost shouting "ARE YOU DATING?" to Soo Hyun. super suss. Sun A thinks she's hot. She really had her "step on me, Mummy" glow up and I respect that. Kyung Hee is surrounded by idiotic men BUT that does lead us to her house which is Han Ki Hwan's house!!! I was so happy when I saw it then I felt so sad because... it's where the rich boys go to get emotionally (sometimes physically) abused by their parent. This house is also featured in Stranger and every time there was a scene in THE living room, I kept saying out loud: "that's where Han Joo Won got his heart broken" or "some very sad things happened here" or "NOOO joo won... DONG SIIIIIKKK"... I am pathetic and annoying. (Also, I think the derelict sight is the same location where they shot Lee Sang Yeob's death scene) I will say I like the way TDJ is handling the dystopia themes. It feels very realistic and it isn't too glamourised, which a lot of movies/TV shows do. So, that's a really nice aspect of the show. The court scene is actually kind of funny (not in a bad way)

Trauma Bandit's backstory is definitely a child abuse 101 storyline, even includes a shitty reason for his awful treatment. (the dad is a right twat). I haven't paid too much attention to the older brother storyline but if he and Gaon are related, I'll be pissed. It's an odd thing to include considering Daddy Bandit and Gaon are going to fuck. There's no doubt in my mind that they're going to have sex. And even if we don't see it, it's still happening! Oh, and... just because you're traumatised, it doesn't give you the right to murder people, Daddy Bandit. Anyway, speak soon!! :)

Usually in the trope, the nurse and patient are shown to be more susceptible to have feelings due to sympathy and forced proximity (+ if the patient has some incredibly heroic/awing reason for being injured). I think Beauty and the Beast, you've mentioned Gaon's Bella Arc, also features the nurse/patient trope when the Prince/Beast gets attacked trying to save Bella from the wolves.

It is interesting though, that it should be Gaon who's injured and nursed back to life when we have Yohan, who's the primary choice for the Beast/Prince.

I will say I like the way TDJ is handling the dystopia themes. It feels very realistic and it isn't too glamourised, which a lot of movies/TV shows do. So, that's a really nice aspect of the show.

right?? i honestly adore that it's pretty much covering the escalating socio-political and economic crisis under the dystopian theme? it also feels very much a commentary on the contemporary issues of the world. along with that, in episode one there's a shot with the word "utopia" that reminded me of this book (i haven't read it but i know of the premise) "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas". It talks of an utopian society that has built itself upon the suffering of a single child. For the society to prosper the child must be suffer. To my knowledge, the Snowpiercer (the film) and BTS's "Spring Day" are based on it thematically.

The court scene is actually kind of funny (not in a bad way)

Story time! That gif of sheep made me think of it.

My grandpa is a farmer, and his youngest children have taken over most of the farming duties. My uncle handles the cows, and growing up we weren't allowed near them cause we were tiny and cows are not so much.

My aunt tends to the sheep, which we could get a lot closer too, but not too close because they're still bigger than elementary aged kids. And cause mom said "play with the dogs, not the bigger animals".

Anywho, once upon a time, when I was maybe 6 or so, the fencing holding the sheep broke. It happens, no real concerns. Save for the fact that me and my, at the time, 4 year old brother were trying to tempt the kittens out to play. So we were kinda right there when the fencing broke.

We weren't hurt, the sheep were very gentle, and we had three herding dogs with us, but it scared us a lot. There were a lot of sheep.

And, since that day, I have never gotten close to a sheep.

Don’t think he meant what he said maliciously at all I agree with that! I think he just worded it really badly and almost said too much? Literally the whole thing felt like my heart was being pulled apart, all the little moments with Lucas were so painful... I started crying as soon as he was 'introduced' when Killian blushed at him, knowing that he dies from the beginning made all of this so much more gutting 😭 I don't think a fic has ever made me cry this much in one sitting, and I'm also glad it was a double update because if I was left with that last scene of Lucas dying for over a month I don't think I'd make it 😃 I went straight to the 'Levi Ackerman fluff' tag after I was done cause boy I needed some comfort!! I really want Killian to get a fucking hug from Levi she deserves it so much 😭 I just want her to get some Levi cuddles and stay tf away from that stinky boy Zeke ✋I hope she can overcome her grief I just want her to be happy KW pleaseeee

bestie alice i might be losing my mind haha :') the new school years gonna start soon for us and i just found out i didn't get into the college i really wanted to go to which sucks a bunch but it's okay i kind of have a back up lol 💀 anyways while i was being sad about that i was kind of moping about the fact that i won't get a normal college experience because i didn't get into the place i wanted to but then i realised with covid that wouldn't have happened anyways :') and thennn i remembered i had the opposite of a normal hs experience because i had to switch schools like every year since i started for a bunch of different reasons :'') i haven't had a normal experience with school since i was like 13 PLS 😭💀 i so badly just want to be normal and like just have a normal experience with something like everyone else lmao but the universe keeps saying no 😭 im gonna have to keep reading hs and college aus and just must be nice myself into nonexistence 😭😭
