i usually stay quiet because i don’t like to engage in fandoms of any kind anymore, but the things i’ve been shown from iwtv twitter is concerning. idk what assad/armand fans think they’re trying to achieve by disrespecting jacob, delainey, sam, and the rest of the cast by saying armand is the sole reason anyone watches this show and that he’s the best actor on the show etc, but yall are not doing yourselves any favors. this is not tvd. this is not the cw. using assad for agenda shipping purposes because you hate sam/lestat, and reducing louis to an object or a prize to be won, and trying to knock louis/jacob out of his lead position on a show where he is the best/most nuanced written gay BLACK male character in history is disgusting and so extremely disrespectful to jacob who is literally the cutest/kindest human being ever.

this show is a team effort. everyone involved with iwtv are master class actors, writers, set designers, etc and when it comes to acting—to credit one actor for the show’s success is very off putting. (especially when you take into account delainey had only two weeks to prepare for claudia and gave the performance of a lifetime.) there are many who do not engage with this fandom because of takes like this and all this will do is put people off assad/armand which is the last thing anyone needs. cast members of color and characters of color should not be pit against each other on the ONLY show on tv right now that allows them to be great.

Rewatching Doctor Who for the millionth time realizing I will NEVER get over Rose and neither will the doctor. She was his third heart. I'm sure ppl have talked about it but I don't think it's a coincidence she's always comforting the ppl around them. She's sweet and not the smartest person in the room all the time but she doesn't have to be. okay so im german and ive always been soo insecure about my own language, bc you know, my whole life Ive been hearing people always saying its such an aggressive & ugly language and you cant be proud of it. ._.

And suddenly theres so many people wanting to learn it and saying its pretty?😭 also i love how often it appears in tv series in a good/interesting way and these cute vids about some silly words we got, etc,,

So now im growing to love it and i start to be more proud of it🥹 i always used to be so so embarassed about my language and couldnt understand why anyone would want to learn that hideous thing, and now im so happy and find it cute when people are tying to learn it-

honestly i waant to be proud of it, its so nice to see when other people are of their own. I know its not the only language getting hated on but i would like to have some comfort feeling as well, i can only talk for me. Oh it also was called the language of poets and thinkers, which is actually so nice. <3

(also we are so sorry for the dumb people here. This is an incredibly niche and specific opinion, but I don't like Duke Thomas's eyes being portrayed as 'flecked with gold' or 'honey-coloured' or 'shining golden in the light' or whatever. His natural eye colour should be very dark brown, so that when they glow that bright gold when he uses his powers it feels momentous. It feels like another side of him. Something that came from an immortal, a being who might not even qualify as human; something that makes him question his own humanity and how much his powers are truly a part of himself, or one he wants to accept, at first. There should be such a striking visual contrast that, if the eyes are the windows to the soul, you can see how Duke and the Signal would look like totally different people. Paralleling the contrast of yellow and black in his suit. Also, dark eyes are beautiful.

I noticed that an amazing fic I read with over 60k words and over 900 kudos...didn't receive a single comment in 2022.

There were some comments in 2021, then a gap, then a few comments from this year. That is insane.

Ao3 is not built like Wattpad, it is not meant to be treated like the 'latest hits' page where you only read the new works, or where you only click on sort by number of kudos. It doesn't matter if the fic you like is not wip anymore - if you really like the story, comment. A simple heart will do. The author won't think you're annoying, in fact they'll probably be incredibly happy.

Fic authors don't deserve to have their work just disappear with no engament after few weeks pass. The fics don't deserve it either
