Irresistible - LN4 x Fem!Reader
“Can we get lunch together tomorrow to talk? Just me and you?”, the 12 words which had been absolutely overwhelming you for the past hour. Rather than give you an idea about what your brother wanted to talk about, Max had instead left you with an ominous “could go either way” message.
You see, it seemed like he was coming around after that family dinner, when he asked you to message him, but no. He instead expressed that he would not be talking to you for a while to work out how he felt about it. It's fine, you thought, a while may only be a couple of weeks. However, he instead decided that “a while” would be at least 8 months. That being said, it was now the day before you and Lando would fly out to Austin for the COTA grand prix. You would be meeting up with Max for breakfast instead of lunch and then would go straight to the airport to what might possibly be one of your favourite tracks. The atmosphere was great, the racing was fun, and there was only a tiny chance that you would manage to walk around the paddock without Daniel or Logan putting a cowboy hat on your head.
A lot had happened after the 2024 season. Lewis had, of course, gone to Ferrari. Nico Hulkenberg had left Haas, leaving an empty space that Checo filled in. And he had done surprisingly well, scoring Haas’ first ever win. By the power of magic? Who knows but that man had become a hell of a good driver to be able to do that. To bring a tractor to 1st takes some skill, especially with 2 Red bulls, 1 Mercedes and 1 Ferrari still in the race.
Daniel had taken the Red Bull seat, of course, and Yuki was next in line for it. Liam had taken his place in AlphaTauri. Mercedes had seen a new addition to Formula One, with Frederik Vesti taking the Mercedes seat. It was meant to be Mick but after his Le Mans win, he realised that maybe he preferred world endurance a little more. Carlos had obviously left Ferrari with the addition of Lewis. However, instead of joining another team, he left F1 for a season to rally with his dad and would be driving again in 2026 when Valtteri was planning to do a Kimi and go do another type of racing for a couple of years. Other than that, the grid had remained the same. Max in Red Bull, George in Mercedes, Charles in Ferrari, Lando and Oscar in McLaren (Lando had signed a contract until 2027), Fernando and Lance were still in Aston Martin and were rocking it, Lance having got his first win and Fernando his first in like 10 years in 2024, along with 2 more for his collection. Pierre and Esteban still drive for Alpine, Nico for Haas, Zhou for Sauber, and Alex and Logan for Williams. Logan had done really well, too. He got a couple of podiums the previous season.
Lando still hadn't got his first win. Lots of podiums, but no wins. However, that was hardly his fault. The Red Bull, as per, absolutely ripped.
Walking into the café, you were nervous. You had no reason to be, realistically speaking. Lan had proven to you that he had absolutely no intention of leaving you because of Max, as he had proven over the past 2 years and a few months. You saw Max already there when you arrived so you took a seat at the table with him. It was mostly quiet until you both had ordered your breakfast and drinks, after which you finally spoke up. “Why have you called me here, Max? After not speaking to me for like 8 or 9 months.”
“I miss you. I miss being your twin, having you to look up to and doing dumb stuff together. I miss being the iconic non-driver grid duo. I-”
You cut him off. “Max if you're going to tell me that and then say something about me breaking up with Lando, I will leave. I will walk out of the door right now.”
“You don't need to do that. I just miss you. If you and Lando being together makes you happy, which it clearly does, then maybe I was overreacting.”
“Maybe? Max, you told him he had to choose between me and you,” you said as you took a bite of your food. “You shouted at me for being with him. Made comments about how it wouldn't last because he doesn't love people. But he loves me. He has for years. And I love him. And I just want that to be okay for someone.”
Max nodded, understanding completely why you were upset with him. He looked at you, waiting a few moments before speaking. “I accept the relationship, just so you know. I think… I have for a while, it just upset me a lot that you didn't think that you could tell me for over a year so I freaked out.”
“I think freak out is an understatement, there. Now if that's all, I have a plane to catch.”
“Wait,” he said, placing his hand on your arm to stop you leaving straight away. “It sounds silly but there is a type of counselling/therapy for family members who want to repair their bonds. I've been going to individual therapy for a year, maybe we could give at least one session of the family therapy a go, see if it helps?”
You sighed, mentally weighing the pros and cons. “Okay. One session and we will see where that takes us. I seriously have to go though, Lando is here to get me.”
You stood up, quickly paying for both of your meals despite your brother's objection. You gave him a hug before you left. COTA here we come, you thought.
The journey to America was on a private jet with some of the other drivers. Lewis had, ever so sweetly, invited you and Lando on his jet along with him (obviously), Charles, Arthur (who was racing this weekend as Charles had badly sprained his wrist the previous day but still wanted to watch his brother drive), and George. The plane ride was great, as always, you all talked and played games, you humbled your boyfriend in many games of Uno and Mario kart, you and Lewis caught up, you and Arthur gossiped, overall, it was a great plane ride.

“And Lando Norris wins the United States Grand Prix!”
You don't think you'd ever cried as much in your life as you had watching your boyfriend cross the finish line. He had tried every single race and finally, for the first time, he had come first after so much bad luck.
As the checkered flag waved and the roar of the crowd filled the air, Lando stormed across the finish line, the first-time winner of a Formula One Grand Prix. He could hear cheers through the radio from his pit crew, him equally excitedly screaming back. The euphoria of the moment engulfed him, but as he slowed his car to a stop in the pit lane, his mind was consumed by one thought: he had to find you.
In the midst of the chaos and celebration, Lando’s heart raced with anticipation as he tore off his helmet and looked towards the crowd of people waiting for him. He spotted you in the crowd quite quickly, your eyes filled with tears of joy and excitement. He didn’t hesitate to make his way to you, embracing you and lifting you off of your feet and over the barrier that separated you.
"I did it! I finally fucking did it!" Lando whispered, his voice trembling with exhilaration as he buried his head into your shoulder.
Your smile was bigger than he thought he had ever seen before as one of your hands gently played with the curls in his hair. “I knew you could do it, Lan. I’m so so proud of you,” you whispered back, your words filled with unbridled happiness as you gently rocked you both back and forth on the spot. You placed a kiss to the side of his head as you felt his tears soak through your shirt. You didn’t care, though.
In that moment, amidst the chaos of victory, the blaring of the engines, and the cheers of the crowd, you and Lando found solace in each other's arms. Your love had weathered the turbulent journey of a competitive racing world, and now, in the exhilarating embrace of a triumphant win, you both knew (or more proved to those around you) that you were destined to conquer any challenge together.
As you stood together, surrounded by the intoxicating scent of victory and the warmth of love, Lando realised that this moment was not just about his first win; it was about sharing it with the person who had been his unwavering support for years, his pillar of strength, and (by far) his biggest fan.
“Am I even allowed to be over the barrier?” You inquired quietly as Lando stayed attached to you.
“I don’t know… or care.”
“Well, put me back over, you have to hug the rest of your team and go do your interviews.”
He groaned. Very dramatically. “I don’t want to, I want to stay with you.”
“I’ll be here when you get back, darling.” You looked at him as he sighed before lifting you back over, placing a long kiss to your lips and celebrating with his team before doing his interview. The second he was done with all the podium and media obligations, though, he was dragging you back to the hotel, wanting to cuddle before you all went out to party in the evening.
Once inside the hotel room, you kissed him. His arms travelled swiftly back to your waist, guiding you backwards as he kissed back, you soon feeling your back touch the door as he crowded you against it. You deepened the kiss, hearing him groan softly as he pressed his body closer to you. His hands started to snake under your McLaren polo that you had “borrowed” from him the day previous, placing themselves on your bare waist. Your hands were in his hair, gently tugging at the curls every so often, making him let out quiet but obscene noises as you kissed. He then started moving you again, this time towards the bed.
Tumblr media
“Are you going to sit there and continue to eye fuck me, Lando?” You asked as you adjusted the bottom of the dress that you had just changed into for the party.
He leant his head back on the wall behind the bed. “I can't help it. You look amazing.”
You chuckled, walking over to him and placing a kiss on his forehead. He responded by pulling you onto his lap. You looked at him, seeing the familiar look in his eyes. “Don't start this again, Lan.”
“Why?”
“We have a party to go to. Wait until later.”
He sighed, pulling you closer into a hug. “You're the most beautiful person in the world, you know?”
The party went as normal. You and Lando both didn't drink much but everyone else did. As usual, there was a lot of chaos caused - mostly by Max, Checo and Daniel, you were convinced that Charles would end up with alcohol poisoning with the amount that he and Lewis drank together, and Logan, Oscar and Fred almost burnt the place down.
Everything seemed (almost) perfect as you laid in bed, in your boyfriend's arms, having just celebrated his first win. Neither of you were asleep yet. Lando could tell because your breathing pattern was different when you slept. Whilst running his hand through your hair, he took in the atmosphere. The way that you softened into his embrace, the little snores you did when you slept, every little thing you did reminded him of how much he loved you.
“Marry me.”
“What?” You said, head instantly snapping up towards your boyfriend.
He was already looking at you. “Marry me.”
You sat up, him leaning over to switch the bedside lamp on. He returned to look at you, holding a ring in his hand. You were dumbfounded. “Lan.”
He looked into your eyes, placing his forehead against yours before beginning to speak, softly. “I don't want you to think this was the spur of the moment. This sounds silly but I've had this ring for like a year and a half. I've just been waiting for the right moment. And this feels like the right moment. If you don't want to, or feel it's too soon, I completely get it. But if you do, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” He smiled, genuinely, watching as a tear fell down your face. “Please don't cry, it's okay.”
“Yes.”
“Yes as in yes you'll Marry me or you think it's too soon?” He asked, voice soft as he felt a glimmer of hope in his chest
“Yes, as in yes, I will marry you, Lando.”
Now everything was perfect.

How Would I? - Nico Hischier
Tumblr media
A/N: I am going to be honest and say I am actually nervous to post this. I went back and forth on if I needed to soften this up. Ultimately, I feel it is much better as is. But this is definitely dark, so please read at your own discretion!
Word Count: 2.6k
Warnings: Robbery, assault, broken bones, pregnancy talk, violence.
“Hi.” I whisper to my husband via FaceTime. My feet gently rock Lucie and I on the rocking chair in her room. Nico smiles excitedly when he sees my face. He is leaning against the brick wall of the Prudential Center. The team is having a Dine with the Devils charity event at the arena.
“Hi.” Nico murmurs back. “She asleep?”
“Yeah.” I flip the camera so he can see Lucie’s angelic face. She had a big day playing with Lio at an indoor play house, then having pizza for dinner.
“Good. Her and Lio have fun?”
“So much.” I smile, turning the camera back onto me.
“Cause trouble too?”
“Of course.” I roll my eyes. “They conspired by hiding in the upper slides. Only came out when Emma started yelling at them in Swiss German.” Nico chuckles. “The other parents gave her quite the look.” Emma holding her pregnant belly with each heavy inhale added another layer to the picture.
“I’m sure.” He sighs, glancing up and giving a polite nod as a group of fans walks by to the locker room for their tour. “I should be home in an hour or so. Things are wrapping up.”
“Sounds good.” I adjust the screen in my hand. “Can’t wait.”
“Me too, babe. See you soon. I love you.”
“Love you too.” We pucker our lips for smooches, then click off. “Okay, Luc.” I whisper, then stand. My almost five month bump protrudes out as I maneuver Lucie into her bed. She startles a bit, gripping onto her penguin pillow pet. I back away quietly, then shut the door completely behind me.
I hold my belly as I walk back down the stairs. I feel so huge this pregnancy. With Lucie, it seemed like I stayed small until the very end when she began gaining a pound a week. But with  this daughter, I’ve been popping since last month. I scratch at the itchy skin around my belly button then head into the kitchen. I finish loading the dishwasher, reaching around for the detergent in the bottom cabinet. I hear the front door open and foot steps on the rug in the entry way. I stand up, closing the dishwasher and pushing the on button.
“Wow, that had to have been record speed.” I say making sure the light turns on for the wash cycle. There is no response. I move to turn around but a hand clasps over my mouth. This is not Nico. Fear jolts through my body and I try to pull away.
“Stop. If you do what I say, you and your daughter won’t be harmed.” It’s a man. A voice I don’t recognize. My heart lurches into my throat. I stiffen. “I am going to release you now. The last thing you want to do is scream. We wouldn’t want your little daughter upstairs to wake up, Mrs. Hischier.”
I can sense he has been watching us. He knows Lucie is asleep. He knows where her room is. He knows who I am. Who Nico is. It’s all panic inducing. The baby kicks against my abdomen as he releases me.
“Go to the table.” He presses something cold to the back of my neck. I have never felt a gun against my skin before, but it sure feels like one. I purse my lips together and slowly move to the dining area. I glance around, looking for a weapon, cursing earlier me that cleaned up the kitchen. The knives are across the kitchen. The vase is too far away to grab. And the very real possibility of a gun being on my neck stops any other thoughts of fighting.
“What do you want?” I ask, surprise at how still my voice is.
“No questions.” He presses the cool metal even deeper into my skin. The more he talks, the younger he sounds. He rips out one of the dinning room chairs and harshly shoves me down onto it. My stomach bottoms out. The baby kicks harder and I push a hand over her. “You’re lucky you’re pregnant. Otherwise you’d be dead.” My mouth crumbles as he touches my hair. I pull harshly away. “I’m going to tie you up. You’re going to be quiet. I’ll grab what I want and leave. You scream, I take your daughter with me.”
“Please. Let me go to her room. We’ll stay there together. You can take whatever you want. Please. Just… don’t hurt her.” I am sobbing now, thinking of this man upstairs alone with my daughter sleeping. I feel helpless, incapable of protecting her from the greatest danger.
“Your daughter’s safety depends on your cooperation and yours only. Keep your mouth shut and Nico won’t see your dead bodies when he gets home.”
The way he talks about Nico drips with disdain. A gloved hand comes around, grabbing my wrist and forcing it behind my back. I try to fight against him for the other one, but he yanks down on my shoulder which causes a sharp pain through my shoulder blade. No other words are shared as he duct tapes my feet together. Tape gets slapped over my mouth too. Tears immediately trace over the grey strip.
His retreating footsteps can be heard going up the stairs. I’m stuck. I can’t move the chair. If I tip over, I’ll fall onto the baby. I dig my finger nails into my palm, more tear tracks falling down my cheeks. I listen intently for Lucie. She will scream if he goes in there. I know she will. But no sounds come from upstairs. Nothing except the muted foot steps that I’ll never forget the sound of.
His boots hit the hardwood again. My whole body tenses as I feel him approach from behind. I grit my teeth, trying not to show any fear outwardly. Wanting to swing at him with everything in me and rip his fucking eyes out for invading our home.
“One last thing.” He sneers into my ear, reaching for the wedding bands on my left ring finger. I make a fist, trying to keep them on. “Release or I’ll cut your finger off.” He forces my fingers apart, tugging the rings harshly off. As he is pulling back, I’m able to get my finger nails on him. I press hard then drag, drawing blood. “Bitch!” He grabs the back of my head and throws me to the ground. I land hard on my side. I cringe, feeling the pain shoot through my collarbone. He steps towards me. I turn, looking him dead in his masked face. He stands over me. “All you rich bitches are the same. Ungrateful sluts.” He leans down, grabbing my face, pressing his fingers in. “Should untie you and teach you a lesson.”
“Dude! Lights are coming down the street! Let’s go!” Someone else yells into the house.
“Guess I’ll have to come back instead. Maybe on your husband’s next road trip.” He releases my face, stepping over me towards the front door. The voices disappear and the house is quiet again after a click of the front door. His final words hang violently in the air.
I close my eyes, heavy tears running down from my eyes. I pant heavily, struggling to stretch my feet to loosen the tape. I don’t want Nico to find me like this. Every movement makes my chest and shoulder shoot with pain. It isn’t long before the pain is unbearable. I fight back the nausea from it. With the duct tape still on my mouth, I’ll choke If I puke.
“Nico.” I sob against the stickiness over my mouth. Panic is bubbling up, tightening my throat. I stop fighting, eventually growing still, trying to minimize the damage to myself and the baby by becoming calm.
I focus on my breathing. I go to the happiest memories I can think of with Nico. I imagine I’m in bed with him in the morning. He is holding me close, placing soft kisses along my face, waking me up from a light sleep. I hear soft baby giggles coming from Lucie as he whispers for her to give me kisses too. It works. The sound of the garage door opening breaks through my safe place. Then the door opens. Nico tosses his keys on the counter. He walks beyond it, shrugging his jacket off.
His gasp rocks my body when he sees me.
“Oh my god, Lex!” He exclaims, his Nike’s slapping the wood floor as he rushes to me. His hands grab my tired hands. I yelp. He stops, then grabs the tape. “Sorry, sorry, sorry! Oh my god, baby what happened?!” His brown eyes are wild, mouth dropped open in shock, breathing rapid. “Are you okay?” He reaches down for the baby, then goes back to my hands.
“Don’t pull my hands. I think my collar bone is broken. He gently works my hands apart. Then goes into the kitchen to grab some scissors. When he has me untied, he works me onto my back.
“Go grab Lucie.” I say.
“Baby, what happened!”
“Go. Grab. Lucie!” I scream back at him. “Make sure she is okay.” Nico backs up, then runs up the stairs, two at a time, barreling into her room.
“It’s daddy, baby. It’s okay. Just daddy. Let’s go help mommy.” He comes back into view, holding her close to him. His eyes meet mine and his face distorts in pain. He brings Lucie to the couch, then comes back to me.
“Call the police. Someone broke in, tied me up, and took who knows what. All I know for sure is they took my wedding rings.” I hold my hand up, Nico looks at the vacant space. A darkness I’ve never seen before crosses over his features. “Can you help me sit up?” I give him my good arm, then sit up with his help. I run my hand over the baby, anxious to feel her move. Nico watches as he pulls his phone out.
“Hi, I need to report a break in… and um, they hurt my wife.” He is stuttering, barely able to form English words.
The police come. EMTs too. They want me to go to the hospital for x-rays and and an ultrasound for the baby. Nico scours through the video systems we have, including the baby monitor. No one entered Lucie’s room after I did, which is a relief. It also makes it difficult to give a description of the suspect because they cut the wires leading to our security system. The police believe with the quickness of the break in and the retelling of my story that they had been casing the house. They waited for me to put Lucie to sleep. For Nico to be gone. For me to be at my most vulnerable.
Nico’s fingers gripped mine so tight when the police officer said that, I had to make him let go.
The x-ray confirm my collarbone is broken. They put me in a sling and schedule me for a follow up appointment next week. I can’t take pain killers; they tell me to monitor my Advil intake because of the baby.
It is hours before we return home. Nico’s car pulls up to the house, but it looks different. Dangerous and dark in the early morning hours.
“We are moving.” Nico says as he walks behind me in the garage with Lucie in his arms. “You are not staying here without me. Every time I am gone, you are leaving too.”
“Nico.” I sigh.
“No Lex. He told you he would be back. I’m not willing to take that chance. Do not argue with me on this.” He shuts the door behind him. “I already sent a text to Steve in hockey ops. He’s grabbing us a place in Hoboken while we search for a new house. We will move into Timo and Emma’s gated community.”
“But this is our home.” I start to cry. He brings Lucie to the couch, then engulfs me into his chest, careful of my sling. He presses kisses along my head, then tilts my face so he can kiss my lips. “This is where we said we would bring all our babies home from the hospital. Where they would take their first steps. And grow up. And be in a safe place. They took that from us tonight!”
“I know, baby. I’m so sorry.”
Holding me isn’t going to make any of this better, but he tries as hard as he can.
- - -
Nico watches Lexi and Lucie sleep next to him later that night. Lexi is propped up on pillows, the elbow of her broken collar bone supported by them too. To Nico, she looks fragile, with a sling and a growing belly.  He reaches out for her bump, then skims that same hand along Lucie’s head where she sleeps cuddled into her baby sister.
He’s tried to fall asleep numerous times already, but he can’t.
He is fiercely angry.
Angry that someone robbed his house. Irate that some piece of shit hurt his wife. Poisoned by the visual of his pregnant wife tied up and in pain. Terror still fills his veins on what he imagined he would see of their daughter as he ran up the stairs.
All these images and emotions run through his mind. He can’t let it go. The police officers had been gentle yet realistic that they may never find the people who did this.
Fine, then Nico would. If they can’t do their job, he’ll hire someone better. The best money can buy. He’d bring investigators from Switzerland. He didn’t care. He was going to fucking find them.
None of the cameras in the neighborhood caught them. Yet, they were able to pull DNA from under Lexi’s nails of whoever tied her up. That was enough for him. Nico wants five minutes in a room with him to do permanent damage. He understands now how people can be capable of murder.
Him and Lex should have never picked this house. They had other options that provided a security presence, but they thought they were safe. Well, now he knew better. He should have been a better father and husband by forcing the gated community house.
Lexi stirs again her pillows, letting out a soft groan. Nico reaches out for her face, brushing her cheek lightly with his thumb.
“I need something.” She gulps down a tentative sip of water. “Can I take Advil yet?” Nico looks at the time on his watch sitting on the bedside table.
“Yeah, sweets. I’ll be right back.” He gently leaves the bed, careful not to rustle Lexi or Lucie. Their daughter immediately stretches her little feet out to take over his side of the bed. Normally he hates her feet against his back because she kicks him throughout the night. Tonight, it’s everything to him.
Nico comes back to Lexi with two Advil. She sits up to take it with Nico’s help. He rubs her back, anger intensifying at every flicker of pain on her body.
“Baby, I am going to find who did this.” He whispers to his wife. “They’re going to pay for this.”
“Neeks…” Lexi murmurs back, reaching for his face with her good hand. She strokes his skin, eyes wary with worry. Nico looks back at her, gaze hard, until he loses it completely. He drops his gaze to her belly when he feels the tears.
“I almost lost my whole world tonight.” Lexi sniffs because she is crying too. “How would I live without you, baby?” Lexi shakes her head, not sure what to say to her husband.
Gradually, with Lexi’s guidance, Nico lays his head into her lap. His nose presses into their growing baby while Lucie’s hand twitches against his hair. Lexi and Nico join hands on her bump.
The room is silent. The heavy thoughts of their night hanging over them.
Lexi finally gets Nico to sleep by gently stroking his hand, continuously murmuring to him that she’s still here.

History Hates Lovers || Brocedes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Almost 20 years. Lewis and Nico had known each other for almost 20 years
For 10 of those years had Lewis known his feelings for the blond German
In reality had he known for a lot longer, but only had accepted his feelings for 10 years
Lewis was a pussy, he knew that, not when it came to women he knew he was never gonna see again, but a pussy when it came to some blond, German, twink he had known most of his life
---
Barcelona 2016
Lewis didn’t plan on telling Nico anything, but neither did he expect Nico to approach him
“Hey… Lew” Nico said slight nervous as he stepped into Lewis’ drivers room “So- how do I say this” Nico looked up into the ceiling to try and figure out his words
“You want to sit, or…?” Lewis offered softly, pointing to the couch
Nico didn’t say anything, but sat down onto the couch “So, you know how, you’re like, gay, right?” It was never said out loud, but everyone knew Lewis was in some degree gay
“Yes?” Lewis hummed, leaning against the small table, crossing his arms over his chest, feeling vulnerable all the sudden
“How’d… How’d you know?” Nico asked softly, starting up at Lewis
Lewis hated how much those blue eyes of Nico’s made him melt every time
Lewis shrugged slightly “Kissed a guy at a party, and I blew him after. When it didn’t feel wrong…” He shrugged slightly again “Why’d you ask?” He asked confused
“I’ve… um… been slightly confused lately” Nico hummed “Would you- would you let me try? Y’know…” Nico asked, holding Lewis got the hint
Lewis was slightly surprised “Would I- I mean, yes” He shrugged slightly “If you promise it won t change our friendship” He mumbled
“Of course. Of course it won’t” Nico said, standing up and walked over to Lewis, slightly taller than the Brit
Nico hesitated slightly, but eventually leaned in, closing the gap between the two, kissing Lewis softly
Lewis kissed back immediately, trying not to be too eager, or show how much he actually liked being kissed by Nico
“Doesn’t feel wrong” Nico hummed, pulling slightly back from Lewis, his hand on his jaw “Would you allow me to…” Nico trailed out, hoping not to step on any of Lewis’ boundaries
“You want to… Blow me?” Lewis asked surprised
“I mean… it’s fine if you won’t let me, I just wanted to confirm if I was or not” Nico said softly
“Y-you can” Lewis hummed, stuttering slightly
“Thank you” Nico got so fast onto his knees, that Lewis was afraid that he’d hurt them
Lewis had yet to change into his suit, so it was just his jeans Nico had to get through
Nico’s hands worked quickly to get Lewis’ belt out of his jeans, the button and fly worked quickly as well
Lewis grabbed the edge of the table harshly, stabilising himself from tightening his hand in Nico’s hair
Nico pulled down Lewis’ jeans and briefs, letting them rest at his mid thighs, spitting in his hand before slowly stroking Lewis softly
When Nico licked at Lewis’ tip, he looked up, seeing his head thrown back, biting his lip harshly, trying to keep himself from moaning out loud
Nico started moving his mouth on Lewis, the slight older man’s hips bucking slightly
Nico took his hand up to Lewis’ neck, tapping him slightly, getting him to look down at him, making intense eye contact
Lewis whimpered at the eye contact, trying to look away, but Nico had forced him to keep looking at him
“Please- don’t make me” Lewis almost cried out, but Nico was still forcing him to look down, moving his head and mouth faster
“Fuck” Lewis moaned softly, a hand covering his mouth the other still grabbing the edge of the table tightly
Neither seemed to blink as they kept eye contact, so many thoughts filled Lewis’ mind that he didn’t think at all
“F-fuck, Nico, ba- I’m close” Lewis managed to stop himself mid nickname, surprising himself by even calling him in the first place
Nico hummed around Lewis, the older man not sure if it was to pull him closer, torture him, or to give him permission to come
Lewis tried pulling Nico’s head back and off of his cock to come on his face, but Nico held himself close, Lewis coming down his throat instead, his body shaking slightly
They were both panting heavily as Nico pulled off of him, swallowing Lewis’ cum
“Y’know” Nico groaned, standing up again as Lewis got himself back into his briefs and jeans “You’re not that hard to fool” Nico chuckled
“What?” He mumbled, still panting slightly and dazed
“I know I’m queer” He shrugged “Was just an excuse to kiss you, the blow job was a bonus” He grinned slightly
“What’you mean?” Lewis was more confused than ever, not even sure he was happy about the kiss and blow now
“I like you, Lewis. I just wanted to make sure you felt the same before…” Nico sighed, caressing Lewis’ cheek softly
“And a blow is the way?” He chuckled softly
“Shut up” Nico chuckled, leaning in to kiss Lewis again, this time a little more heated, his hands on the Brit’s waist
“So… Are we a thing now, or…?” Lewis asked breathy as Nico pulled back
“Relationship, Lewis” Nico chuckled the answer
“Relationship, yes” Lewis nodded softly
---
After the crash, they didn’t speak- well, they did once, and that was only to yell at each other
Nico broke the relationship off faster than it had started, and from then on, ignoring each other like the plague
They had been together for only a few hours, but it was the best hours of Lewis’ life, and he would never forget that blow job
---
Hungary 2024
Nico had been bringing Lewis up in interviews more and more
Lewis hated it
He had spent years ignoring him, and now it’s like Nico is trying to manipulate or play mind games to get them talking again
He even saw Nico looking at him more often in the paddock, Lewis looked away immediately, acting if he hadn’t seen him
Post-interview, and Nico was doing them
Lewis couldn’t ignore him there. Smile and pretend
Lewis saw the sincerity in Nico’s smile. It reached his eyes. Nico was actually happy to see and talk to Lewis
Mind games thought Lewis. Keep smiling and pretending
Then Lewis’s body betrayed him, accidentally winking at the blond before handing the mic to one of the crew
Lewis quickly turned away, but caught a glimpse of Nico looking after him, blushing slightly, smile now faded
---
“You winked at me” Lewis groaned as he heard the familiar voice behind him at the bar he decided to go to
“One of many mistakes I made with you” Lewis sighed, not turning to look at Nico
“You’re telling me that you didn’t enjoy that blow job?” Nico asked with a chuckle, now leaning against the counter beside Lewis, looking down at him
“Didn’t say that. I said it was a mistake” Lewis corrected Nico, taking a sip of whatever the bartender had given him
“So you’d want to do it again?” Nico chuckled, more to assure him that there was hope he’d want it again
“No” Another sip from his glass
“Sebastian and Mark worked it out, why can’t we?” Nico asked, shifting slightly on his feet
“I don’t want to” He sighed
Nico turned Lewis’ head by his chin, something that made him swoon, but he couldn’t show him that
“Think about it, Lew” Nico leaned down to kiss him softly, which Lewis did reciprocate “Same hotel, room 644” Nico sighed before walking off and out of the bar
“Lover?” The bartender asked softly
“Worse” Lewis said “Do you think I should-“ “Yes. He seems genuine” The bartender answered, shrugging slightly
Lewis nodded, drowning the rest of his drink, closing out his tap and went out of the bar as quick as he could
“Took you long enough” Nico hummed, startling Lewis slightly as he went out of the bar
“Shut the fuck up” Lewis said, moving to kiss Nico. It was tender, but needy at the same time, holding onto whatever he could reach of him
“Hotel?” Nico asked softly, to which Lewis hummed, trying to kiss Nico again
---
The drive was a blur, but Lewis faintly remember stolen kisses and touches to the upper thighs in the back of the cab
Nico had Lewis pressed up against the wall of the elevator, attacking his neck with his lips, holding onto his waist
Lewis arms were attached around Nico’s neck, giving more space on his neck for Nico, whimpering every time the blond’s teeth grazed his skin
Lewis didn’t want to seem needy, but the small whine that left his mouth as Nico fumbled with the keycard had the blond chuckling slightly
“Needy?” Nico asked, finally getting the door open
“Asshole” Lewis groaned, yelping slightly as Nico pulled him into the room, pushing him up against the now closed door
“Definitely will be doing something to your asshole” Nico chuckled, kissing Lewis tenderly and messy, while his hands worked on the slightly shorter man’s shirt
“Then hurry the fuck up” Lewis said, raising his hands so Nico could pull his shirt over his head, throwing it to the floor
“So much better than photos” Nico hummed, his thumbs pressing softly against Lewis’ abs, the touch making the Brit whimper
Nico pulled at Lewis’ belt, pulling him off the wall and towards the bed, pushing him softly onto it
Nico leaned down, mouthing at Lewis’ abdomen, making him whine and whimper, squirming under his touch
“Nico- please” Lewis whimpered, fisting in the back if Nico’s shirt, trying to get it off of him
Nico sat back again “Always impatient” Nico chuckled, but pulled his shirt off anyways
Lewis looked down. Nico had always looked good, and some how, this look- having gained slightly weight since ‘16, was a way better look
“Always the starer” Nico chuckled, his hands working on Lewis’ belt, getting it unbuckled
“Can’t help it. You look so good” Lewis whimpered slightly, lifting his hips so Nico could pull his jeans and briefs down and off of his legs
“I don’t have lube, so we have to use spit, that okay?” Nico asked, softly caressing the insides of Lewis’ thighs
“Mhm. Fine” Lewis said, nodding slightly as he took Nico’s right hand, taking two of his fingers into his mouth, starting to suck harshly and throughly, swirling his tongue around him
Once Nico’s fingers were soaked with Lewis’ spit, did he pull them out, making Lewis whine slightly
Lewis bend his knees when Nico lightly slapped the outside of his thigh with his left hand
Nico slowly pushed a finger into Lewis, slowly stretching him open
Nico only started moving his finger when Lewis slowly ground his hips down against his hand, silently begging for Nico to move
He chuckled softly as he slowly and softly moved the one finger in and out of Lewis, loving his small sounds just as much as he did back in ‘16
Nico slowly pushed in a second finger, praising and soothing Lewis, hoping to make the burn more pleasurable
“I-I’m fine. Move” Lewis panted softly, his eyes closed, gripping at the sheets tightly
Lewis whimpered quietly when Nico slowly and softly began moving his fingers
Lewis back arched off of the bed as Nico curled his fingers up to rub against Lewis’ prostate, making him moan loudly
“Nico- please. Just fuck me, please” Lewis moaned out, his eyes screwed shut, hands tight in the sheets
“You’re always so fucking impatient” Nico hummed, pulling his fingers out of Lewis, wiping them clean on his inner thigh
Lewis could only whimper at Nico’s words while the German emptied his pocket, putting his phone on the bedside table, only making Lewis more needy
“Hurry, please” Lewis whined as Nico slowly worked his jeans and briefs off of his legs “You’re horrible”
“And yet, you’re naked and spread out on my hotel bed” Nico hummed, getting his own naked body between Lewis’ legs
“Shut up” Lewis put his legs around Nico’s hips, trying to pull him close
Nico spit in his hand, stroking himself to get wet so the push would be smoother and burn less
“You’re so fucking slow” Lewis whined, only earning him a tight slap to the outside of his thigh, making him let out a sound between a yelp and a whimper
“Keep complaining and I’ll stop right before your orgasm” Nico warned him
“‘M sorry” He apologised, squirming under his intense stare, but it was soon replaced with a moan as Nico slowly pushed into him
“F-fuck. Slow” Lewis whimpered, pushing slightly at Nico’s abdomen, making him go slower
“You were never one to go slow” Nico chuckled, but went slower anyways
“There’s a difference between fast in the track and when I get cock in me” Lewis panted, his head fallen back onto the pillow “Especially without lube” He whimpered
“Why did you expect me to have lube?” Nico panted softly, having now bottomed out, his hips firm against Lewis’ ass
“I never said I expected you to have it” Lewis chuckled, making Nico chuckle as well “Move, please”
Nico nodded softly, spreading Lewis’ cheeks, spitting down and slowly starting to move his hips
Lewis started by whining and whimpering before they turned to moans when Nico angled his hips to thrusts up into his prostate, speeding up slightly
Nico’s groans quickly turned into moans as well, feeling Lewis tightly around him, clenching around him every now and then
When Lewis was so close to his orgasm that he was babbling, Nico was almost out of spit as he kept spitting down to make the movements more pleasurable for them both
“P-please. So close” Lewis whimpered, his hand loosely around his own cock, pumping slowly
“Come for me, Lewis. I’m not holding you back” Nico moaned softly, feeling himself so close to his orgasm
Lewis felt himself let go a few thrusts later, his body shaking as he came all over his abdomen and stomach, the cum bright against his dark skin
Nico’s thrusts were sloppy and short before he came inside Lewis, grunting softly before he softly laid on top of him, giving no mind to the cum now also sticking to his own stomach
Nico slowly pulled out of Lewis, both whining softly before they moved so Nico was spooning Lewis from behind, his arms around his waist and abdomen
“You got a message on your phone” Lewis informed Nico as he heard the sound and saw the screen light up
“Can you check it?” Nico asked, his eyes closed, forehead resting between Lewis’s shoulder blades
“What’s the-“ “Your birthday” He answered without hesitation, not even the slightest embarrassed that his password were Lewis’ birthday
“It’s from Vivian” Lewis sighed, sitting up on the bed, throwing Nico his phone
Nico took a quick glance at the text “It can wait” He sighed, watching Lewis stand up from the bed “Where you going?”
“I need to go” Lewis said, starting to dress himself
“At least let me clean you up, baby” Nico said, also now sitting up on the bed
“Bet you call her that too” Lewis said, his hands working on getting his belt buckled again
“Lewis-“ “I don’t want any more of your mind games. You need to choose, Nico” Lewis said before pulling his shirt over his head and leaving Nico alone
---
Belgium 2024
“I have chosen” Nico said once Lewis opened the door his hotel, freshly showered by the look of it, having won- some what at least
“Nico? W-what you mean ‘chosen’?” Lewis asked confused
“Last week, in Hungary, you asked me to choose. I did. I choose you, Lew” Nico explained
Lewis nodded softly “Is this something you wanna talk about, or…?”
“Just shut up” Nico said, kissing Lewis hard, pushing him slightly back into the room so he could close the door
“Could’ve warned me” Lewis chuckled, holding onto Nico’s waist softly
“You always said you like surprises” Nico mumbled against Lewis’ lips, softly pushing him onto the bed
“What will you do if I don’t have any lube, hm?” Lewis asked as Nico got in between his legs, removing his own shirt
“Spit worked out the last time” He panted softly, pulling down Lewis’s sweats and briefs, the two only things the Brit were wearing
“Well, lucky for you, I did bring some. In case you were actually quick in a decision for once” Lewis chuckled, earning a warning glare of Nico “Suitcase” He said, pointing to it on the floor
It wasn’t long before Nico was knuckle deep inside Lewis with two of his fingers, curling them upwards to hit his prostate, getting Lewis a moaning and squirming mess under him
“N-Nico. Please” Lewis moaned out, his hands tight on Nico’s biceps, nails digging into the skin softly
“Why you always gotta be so impatient?” Nico chuckled, pulling his fingers slowly out of Lewis, wiping them clean on his thigh before pulling his own jeans and boxers down
“Because…” Lewis scoffed softly “Have you seen yourself. All German, blond and twinky” Lewis explained breathy
“Why does that sound like Sebastian, hm?” Nico hummed, settling back in between Lewis’ legs
“Don’t talk about Seb when you’re about to fuck me” Lewis said, trying to pull Nico closer by his waist
“Fair enough” Nico hummed, stroking himself a few times to get the lube all over his cock “Pillow”
Nico put the pillow underneath Lewis’ hips, making the angle better as Nico slowly pushed himself into Lewis, the push this time much easier and more pleasurable
“Just like that, baby” Nico hummed, pushing himself all the way, spitting praises at Lewis who was seemingly getting more used to the stretch
“Move, please” Lewis whimpered out, trying to move his hips back against Nico’s
“Just lay still, schatzi” Nico hummed, starting to move his hips, slowly and softly fucking Lewis, the most beautiful sound leaving the Brit
“Fuck, baby- you sound so good” Nico moaned softly, moving his hips slightly faster and harder, causing him to fuck into Lewis’ prostate, the room now being filled with Lewis’ loud moans
“Nico, please- touch me, please” Lewis moaned loudly, his nails probably breaking the skin of Nico’s biceps
Nico chuckled softly, but did as Lewis wanted, stroking his cock to the same pace as his thrusts
“Come for me, baby. I can both feel and see you’re close” Nico taunted, watching as Lewis dropped pre-cum down his cock
Lewis didn’t get to say anything as Nico’s name rolled off of his tongue loudly as he came, his body spasms and his hole clenching down around Nico tightly
Not even a second later did Nico come, holding his hips still as he bottomed out into Lewis, feeling sweat drip down his body
They laid like they did last week. Nico spooning Lewis from behind, his arms around his waist
Nico got a message on his phone again “Check it?” Nico asked softly, kissing Lewis between his shoulder blades
Lewis hummed as he reached for Nico’s phone the floor
Viv ❤️
Do you know when you’re landing tomorrow, baby?
“You’re un fucking believable” Lewis scoffed, getting up from the bed, pulling his briefs on
“What?” Nico asked confused, sitting up on the bed
Lewis threw Nico’s phone at him, not caring about the slight hiss that Nico let out “Baby, I can explain” Nico said standing up as well
“You said you choose me” Lewis said loudly, watching how Nico pulled his briefs on again
“And I did, baby. Please-“ Nico tried, but Lewis cut him off
“You might’ve chosen me, but does she know that? Does she know that you’ve fucked me twice in one week?” Lewis was panting slightly “Does she know?”
Nico sighed, shaking his head slightly “No” Lewis only scoffed
“I’m not willing to be some kind of side piece for you-“ “And you’re not, baby. I promise you”
“God! You’re just so-… fuck! Get out. Get the fuck out, Nico” Lewis said, pointing to the door
“Lewis, please-“ “Get your fucking clothes on and leave. I ain’t wanna ever see you again” Lewis said, watching as Nico got his clothes on fast
Lewis never cried over Nico, never allowed himself to do so, but when Nico had left, Lewis slid down the door, curling into himself, allowing himself to cry over Nico

Hi! I was wondering if you could share some head cannons of Nico with the seven + Reyna and will. Also not many people talk about coach hedge but I think Nico and him would be so cute and Nico would baby sit and slfnslsbsladb so yeah haha ✨
──★ ˙📷 ̟ 【 the seven (+ a few others!) headcanons 】 !!

⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ + reyna, will, nico and coach hedge!! yess omgg hedge babysitting nico would be so cute!! i like to think that Will would be the one to ask hedge to do it when he's busy healing people lol. also the burning maze is irrelevant and NEVER happened here. but piper and jason still broke up?? !
and can i just say the stand by you by rachel platten is literally hoo coded?! like the first three verses were made for the seven- like- i can't. "ill walk through hell with you, love you're not alone" (percabeth?!) "oh, tears make kaleidoscopes in your eyes" (piper?!)
also sorry this was so late!! thanks for the ask! enjoy!! ♡

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ» [now playing: stand by you by rachel platten] «
Percy's probably the biggest people-pleaser ever, and it gets so severe that he unknowningly flirts with almost all of CHB. (Making Annabeth jealous, and then Percy would have to kiss her face whilst whispering "im yours" "im yours" to make her feel better. Because he's the best boyfriend)
I feel like Mythomagic is a big part of CHB. In the show, we see Grover teaching Percy about Monsters using these cards, and it's canon that both Nico and Frank used to play them. This leads me to being 96% sure that there's a Mythomagic trading club at CHB, (a bit like Pokemon Cards nowadays) and that Nico sometimes pops in to flex his limited edition cards. (when none of the older kids are looking, of course!)
^^ The youngsters make up rumours that Nico beats up people until they give him their special cards and thats why he has so many good ones
I feel like when Coach and Mellie go for dates, he'd entrust Percy and Annabeth to babysit Chuck. Mostly because they already babysit Estelle, and that Leo'd get too nervous; Hazel and Frank are not at CHB that often; Reyna has no experience on how to act with children, Nico's too dark and bloody (he'd probably scare Chuck with things like "did you know the bed monster is real?" or something like that.)
^^ Will, Piper and Jason are the other options.
I kinda forgot that we've known Will since BOTL. When Nico and Will come out dating, Percabeth are ecstatic because now they're thankful for Will in more than two ways.
Coach Hedge is that one teacher that hates PDA. He also patrols around the Cabins some nights, catching demigods whom have other plans... (he's worse than the harpies.) (he also seems to patrol around Cabin 3... I wonder why).
(more soon?! i say that, and then i forget but anYwAys. i'll try ♡)

Nico Robin x Reader: Reenactment of a Dream
Warning(s): none its all fluff
I think this is one of the most lighthearted fics I've written- not sure
Spending time in the library with your girlfriend was a daily thing - sitting curled up beside one another while she read aloud to you in that smooth, calming voice almost always sent you into a nap. The way she ran her fingers through your hair as she red(was it her actual ones or her devil fruit? You weren’t too sure)
“Enjoying this book, dear?” She hummed, stopping her reading - she gave a knowing glance your way as you curled deeper into her lap, nodding in agreement.
Before she could respond, the door opened - familiar taps hitting the ground. “Hello Chopper,” she smiled fondly at the doctor who ran in holding a book - rushing to the other side of the couch. Sitting up sleepily, you looked over at him, smiling
“Hi, you two! Wait -” he froze for a second, looking at you both. “Am I interrupting something?” After learning he wasn’t- he smiled once again at them
“Look!” Showing them a fairy tale book the cover being one Robin couldn’t put her finger on. “I really wanna recreate it” doing his best puppy eyes to the two of you. The two of you broke- even though you’d agree to watchever he’d ask of either of you. The two of you nodded in agreement
“This!” Showing the pages to them- Robin glanced over to you. Eyebrow raised.
-
Almost two hours since then- the three of you rushed around the library getting things set up for the reenactment of a “marriage” the thought sending butterflies to Robin’s stomach. Couldn’t even fight off the smile. Shaking out of her thoughts, she helped pull some bigger books down for Chopper.
Robin looked over at you. Marriage - marrying you. It didn’t seem like a bad idea at all. She’s never thought about it much - never thought she’d get the chance. She thought the same about having a family and a lover, and she’s here with that now. Life is weird, she guessed. Following Chopper when he came back he smiled up at her “You’ll be the bride of course! So here, ” a napkin cut into a veil poorly tapped together to put around her head. She smiled fondly. Kneeling down, he put it over her head, laughing even though it didn’t stay on all the way.
“Now- um,” pulling a piece of paper out to read, Chopper smiled brightly. “Wait out there -” pointing to the door, “then I’ll give you the signal to come in!” Walking her to the door, Chopper quickly pushes her out hearing your voice before turning and yelling at you to not look at her - that’d it ruin the whole marriage thing.
Sitting outside the library, she heard you and Chopper rush around, getting everything ready. Even though this was a fake marriage(something she had to keep reminding herself of), she couldn’t help but be nervous. Excited even marrying you. Walking down the isle to you- she could see it.
“Robin! Come on!”
Entering the room, she raised an eyebrow at the books laid out on either side, forming a walk way- how the cushions formed some chairs as much as they could- her eyes met yours as you gave a shrug mouthing how you’d fix it later on. A napkin cut crudely into a tie around yours and Choppers neck. Who tried his best to have a serious look on his face(but with how he hid his obvious smile- he really was super serious), she smiled
Smiling softly at the image as she walked down towards you - the crew in the seats watched her - as she tearfully walked down the aisle towards you. Holding your hand a loud hush went over the crowd- she blinked- right. Their in the library. The words ‘this isn’t real- your not marrying them’ echoed in her mind - but she really wished it was.
“OK, um -” Chopper started - stumbling over himself. “we can skip the vows, I guess?” He mumbled, not totally understanding what that was “ok! So , Y/N. Do you take Robin as your- uh- as your wife?” Stumbling yet again as he read the words aloud. Looking up, smiling at you-
“I do”
Robin almost stopped breathing- what if one day this does happen? Where she actually gets to marry you? Would she be ready? Would you? With the way you looked at her - the way she felt at peace. All smiling, she felt like the day she realized she loved you. The day she knew you loved her.
She wants to spend the rest of her life with you- and this helped her feel more confident in her choice. Her heart pounded in her chest as she could imagine the cheers after this. The cheers when you and her kissed after finally getting married.
“Robin, do you take Y/N as your spouse?”
“I do”
“Now you may kiss the bride!” Leaning forward, you placed a gentle quick kiss to her lips- before you could pull back hands held you still as Robin kissed back
She hoped this dream would come true.

Tumblr media
You were looking for your brother Will everywhere. He's been sneaking off a lot lately so it made you curious as to where he was. You asked some of the other campers but they said they haven't seen him.
You were gonna check the woods then give up and just wait until he got back to the Apollo cabin. You made it to a small clearing and stuck to the trees. You saw Will and The hades child what was his name…Nico!.
They were sitting near each other holding hands and they seemed to be whispering stuff to each other. Will seemed genuinely happy which you haven't seen for a long time. He was smiling at Nico as if he hung the stars(lol).
If this is what Will was sneaking off to do you weren't just gonna come out of the woods and announce your presence. Instead you smiled to yourself and slowly walked off trying to not make any noise. Will would tell you when he's ready.
***Time Skip***
Apparently that time came pretty soon. Around two days later Will asked if he could talk to you and you agreed. He kicked everyone out of the cabin and you both sat on his bed. He was fiddling with his fingers and seemed pretty nervous.
You grabbed his hands. “Hey what's wrong?”
“Im dating Nico” He blurted out and closed his eyes quickly, afraid of your reaction. You were his older sibling, the one he was closest too so he was worried about what you would say.
“I know”
His eyes snapped open and he jumped a little bit away. “What? How do you know?”
You smiled. “I saw you two in the woods together” He got up from the bed and you continued. “I hope you know i support you Will your my brother”
He dove in to hug you “Thank you Y/n”
“Of course Will but when can I meet Nico?”
He backed away again “Oh you know soon maybe”
You tilted your head “Maybe?”
He rolled his eyes playfully  “Let me make sure he's ok with meeting you first alright”
You laughed “ok but please soon i need to make sure he's ok for my little brother”
He also laughed and went to leave “Thank you again Y/n i-i love you”
“Love you too”
A couple days later Will told you Nico was fine with meeting you so you planned to meet in the woods which sounded creepy but you trusted that Nico wouldn’t kill you in front of Will.
It was finally time so Will led you into the woods. You saw Nico facing the other direction and fiddling with a ring on his finger.
“Nico!” Will said and ran forward to greet his boyfriend. You quickly caught up to him. He had his arm around Nico and gestured to you “Nico this is Y/n”
You stuck a hand forward “Nice to meet you Nico”
He seemed a little hesitant but shook your hand. “Nice to meet you too”
After that you spent way more time with Nico and deemed him worthy of your brother. You and Nico on multiple occasions made fun of will together and were overall a great team. Nico kinda became like a little brother to you which made you have protective instincts over him.
Which led you to where you are now. About to get into a fight over what a camper said about Nico.
You were teaching a few other campers archery when you heard a camper saying stuff about Nico.
“He's a little weird right? With that whole death thing. I can't believe he is even with Will.” You leaned your head a little to listen better. “Camp was a lot better without him here hes endangering camp by even being here”
You walked near the person saying it. “Be careful about how you speak of him” The person's head snapped to you and saw you glaring at them.
“Oh and what are you going to do huh? He's a child of Hades, he's weird and doesn't belong here” They mocked.
Before they could blink you punched them in the face. Which might have been a little much but so many campers were saying stuff about Nico after him and Will got together.
The person groaned from where they were on the ground and blood started to pour from their nose.
You also groaned from the pain of punching someone and shook your hand to try and get rid of it. Other campers started to gather and eventually Chiron came over. He sighed and told you both to go the infirmary.
Which you did with other campers as you tried to hit the person again after they said more.
As soon as you got in, Will ran over and Nico followed. They brought you to one of the beds and waved the other kid off to another healer.
“What happened?” Will demanded after he brought the hand you were cradling to his face. You smiled “I punched someone”
Nicos eyes widened. “What why?” Nico asked.
“No reason” You shrugged. Will could tell you were lying but was glaring at the other kid they brought it “You punched them?”
You nodded “Yes” . You said it quite proudly and Wills glare switched from them to you.
You smiled again, acting innocent. After a few minutes of Will checking over your hand and Nico glancing worriedly at you. You finally admitted why.
“They were… saying stuff about you Nico i couldn't just let them get away with it can i? Your like my brother”
Nico glanced away and wiped at his eye hoping you both wouldn't see.
“I'm used to it Y/n don't punch people on my account please” Nico smiled sadly as he said.
“Who else has said stuff that you heard?” You demanded. He laughed “It's fine Y/n thank you for being protective”
You rolled your eyes jokingly “The job of the older siblings always so hard”
You all laughed together and you promised not to punch anyone else. Your fingers were crossed behind your back but they didn't have to know that.

hey guys i always feel bad when it's been a while since i've posted something so here's a little update for the angst fic (that now has a name!) if this feels awkward, it is the middle of a chapter (a direct continuation from the last post actually!)
(and if your new here here's the stuff i've posted so far for my new fic pt 1 || pt 2 || pt 3 || pt 4 || pt 5 || pt 6 )
“She seems to be doing okay.” Mina commented once they had taken Nico out to the hospital playground.
“Yeah, I was expecting the move to be harder on her, but so far so good.” Sana nodded, watching her daughter run around the playground. “Thanks, by the way, for the polar bear thing. She was so nervous coming in.”
“Of course, I don't want going to the doctor to be a scary thing for her.” Mina nodded, a small smile as she watched Nico drop her polar bear by accident. Nico didn’t seem to notice, scaling the playground once more. “It's already scary enough, being somewhere new.”
“It is.” Sana nodded, feeling the warm sunshine on her skin. She took a deep breath as a gentle breeze swept through the hospital courtyard. Her heart felt like it was going a mile a minute. There were so many things swirling around in her mind, Nico’s condition, Momo, Nico’s new doctor. It was exhausting. “Thank you again, for taking her on so suddenly.”
“It's no problem.” Mina commented. “She seems very brave.” Mina laughed as Nico jumped from the playground.
“You have no idea.” Sana sighed, willing her heart to calm down as her daughter played.
“There you guys are.” Sana let out a little yelp when Jeongyeon slung an arm around her neck. “How's my favorite little princess?”
“Don't let Hyemi hear you say that.” Sana giggled at the look on Jeongyeon’s face when she pointed that out.
“She's doing good. I officially cleared her to stay at home.” Mina seemed comfortable with Jeongyeon as the woman slung her other arm around Mina.
“Mommy!” Nico ran up to Sana with the biggest grin.
“Hi baby!” Sana caught Nico in her arms, holding her while she looked at her daughter. “What's up?”
“I wanna swing.” Nico pointed at the swing set.
“Sure, but can you say thank you to Doctor Myoui? She has other patients to see.”
“Okay.” Nico nodded, letting go of Sana and running to Mina. “Thank you Doctor Moyui!”
“Be a good girl for your mom, okay?” Mina smiled, taking a lollipop out of her coat and handing it to Nico.
“I will.” Nico had a huge smile on her face as she accepted the lollipop. “Thank you!”
“Thanks again Doctor Myoui.” Sana nodded as Nico ran back to her.
“Mina.” The doctor smiled. “You can call me Mina.”
xx
“Mom.” Nayeon giggled as Hyemi dragged herself into a chair. Hyemi looked like she was still half asleep, her hair messy and her favorite stuffed animal in her arms.
“Hi sunshine.” Hyemi whined, burying her face in her arms. “Tired?”
“Nico and Aunt Sana woke me up.” Hyemi whined. “I hate sharing a room.”
“You can go back to sleep if you want?”
“It’s too bright.”
“I’m sorry.” Nayeon smiled, putting a bowl of cereal down in front of Hyemi. “I’ve got blackout curtains if you want to sleep.”
“I’m already awake.” Hyemi sighed, grabbing a spoon and taking a bite of cereal. Her face dropped suddenly as she ate her breakfast. “Hey mom?”
“Hm?”
“Can I see Mama for my birthday?” Nayeon felt like her daughter had dropped a bomb on her.
“What are you talking about sunshine?”
“I want to see Mama.” Nayeon had known Hyemi would miss Jihyo. They had left quite suddenly, and Jihyo and Hyemi had always had a good relationship. Nayeon knew that no matter how much Jihyo hurt her, she would never hurt Hyemi. “Can I go back to Seoul?”
“Hyemi…”
“Please? I want to see Mama and my friends.” Hyemi looked at Nayeon with tears in her eyes. Nayeon sighed, it was too early for this.
“I’ll… I’ll think about it, okay?”
“Okay.” Hyemi wiped her tears, putting her spoon down.
“All done?” Hyemi nodded, grabbing her cereal and putting it in the sink. Hyemi barely looked at Nayeon as she walked out of the room, leaving her stuffed rabbit on the table.
xx
“Hey Nico, what do you think?” Hyemi asked as she took a few steps away from the bookshelf. She had been working on putting her books away all morning, but it had been a fairly slow process as she kept getting distracted.
“I don’t know?” Nico shrugged. She was playing with her stuffed animals on the floor, seemingly in her own world.
“Well, is it good?”
“Yeah.” Nico nodded, sitting up onto her knees. Hyemi nodded, sitting on the ground next to Nico.
“What do you think of this place?” Hyemi asked, laying on her back and staring at the lazy fan on the ceiling.
“I like it.” Nico muttered. “I get to be here with Unnie and mommy.”
“I hate it here.” Hyemi muttered. “I miss my friends, and my room, and I miss my mama.”
“I miss my mama too.” Nico whispered.
“My mom doesn’t want me to see my mama.” Hyemi blew her bangs out of her face. “She probably thinks I’ll leave her.”
“Why do our mamas have to be gone?” Nico asked.
“Cause they did something bad.” Hyemi muttered. “But, I don’t see why we have to suffer for it.” Nico didn’t say anything, laying next to Hyemi.
“Unnie?”
“Hm?”
“I’m gonna take a nap.” Hyemi just nodded, but she could hear Nico crying from where she was laying on the floor.
xx
“Sana?” Nayeon almost laughed when she ran into something on the floor. Hyemi had holed herself and Nico up in their room, claiming she needed to organize their stuff. Nayeon knew her daughter was still upset from the morning, so she left them alone.
“Mmm.” Sana whined, rolling away from Nayeon. She was wrapped in blankets and Nayeon noticed a pillow on the ground.
“What are you doing?” Nayeon laughed. “Why are you on the floor?” Sana didn't answer, rolling back towards Nayeon. Nayeon immediately knew this wasn't just Sana just casually napping on the floor. “Sana-ya…” Nayeon bent down, gently laying a hand on Sana’s back. “What’s wrong?”
“Nayeon Unnie…” Sana pulled Nayeon closer to her, wrapping her arms around her.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Nayeon asked, noticing tears on Sana’s cheeks. “Is it Nico? Is she okay?”
“Yeah, she’s fine…” Sana trailed off. “Momo texted me. She wants to talk about Nico.”
“Oh.” Nayeon muttered, laying down next to Sana. She wrapped her arms around Sana, resting her cheek on the top of Sana’s head. “Want to talk about it?”
“No.” Sana muttered.
“Okay.” Nayeon hugged Sana tighter. Sana and her laid in silence, and Nayeon ignored the pain in her back.
“Has Jihyo texted you?” Sana finally asked.
“Yeah, I was ignoring her for a bit but she's… hard to ignore for too long.” Nayeon muttered after a few beats of silence. “We should change our phone numbers.”
“I wish.” Sana giggled, cuddling closer to Nayeon. “Hey Nayeon Unnie?”
“Yeah?”
“Will this ever get better?” Nayeon sighed, holding Sana tighter as the girl she had come to see as her little sister cuddled her.
“I don’t know.”

Sunshine( Scars pt 2)
Summary: Trans! Will Solace shows Nico his chest for the first time post top surgery
Words: 1740
A/N: This got away from me... I don't really know how I feel about it. Huge thanks to S who shares the same head canons I do for being my sounding board!
Nico frowned as he read over the paper in his hand again.
“ Kayla? What exactly is a...syndesmotic injury?”
Kayla didn’t look up from where she was stitching up a child of Hephaestus.
“ Twisted ankle.”
“ Why was there 58 twisted ankles in December alone?”
“Prank gone wrong. Ask the Stolls” Kayla answered, bandaging the freshly stitched wound.
“ Okay. Adding it to the “Stolls are a menace to society” pile. “ Nico responded, dropping the paper onto the pile closest to him. Kayla stood and stretched, waving as the child of Hephaestus left. She sank into the chair next to Nico with a sigh, rolling her shoulders with an audible pop.
“Ow,” She muttered.
“Sorry I can’t be more help” Nico apologized. He wasn’t entirely sure how he ended up here, but Will was in New York for a follow-up appointment after his top surgery a few weeks ago and he had asked Nico to help Kayla in the infirmary while he was gone, annd Nico found it difficult to tell Will no to anything.
"You're doing lots" Kayla assured him. " You doing the paperwork is saving me from doing it and I've managed to see more people than I ever would have been able to do if it was just me. I know you are thinking of Will, and it's hard when he was nervous for his appointment but I want you to know I appreciate you being here and all your help." Kayla assured Nico, bumping him lightly with her shoulder.
"I wish I could be there for him but I know he needed to do this on his own. This moment is about him, not me and I'll get to see him when he returns." Kayla nodded, reaching over the desk to grab a stack of papers.
"Austin should be showing up in the next few hours too, so Will can take time off if he wants to. I know he probably won't but he definitely can. " Nico nodded, attention drawn to the small clock on the wall. Will should be back soon if everything went well. Nico found himself glancing outside, though he knew he wouldn't be able to see Will arrive.
" Here's another one for our Stoll pile," Kayla said, sighing. Nico chuckled, reaching out and dropping the paper onto the large pile.
" This one belongs in our lava wall pile." She offered, another paper in her hand. As Nico reached for the paper, the door opened and Chiron stuck his head into the room.
" Will is back. He went back to his cabin but said you can head there whenever you are ready, Nico." Nico nodded, glancing back at Kayla.
"Will you be okay?"
"Of course I will be. You go. " Kayla answered, pushing lightly against Nico's shoulder.
" Thanks Kayla. I'll see you later- shout if you need help" Nico said, rushing out the door. He forced himself to walk once he reached the green, crossing to Cabin 7. He climbed the steps, and knocked lightly on the door. The door opened and Gracie, one of the newer campers peeked out at him.
" Hi Nico! Will's in the shower but he said you can wait here for him; he'll only be a few minutes. I'm going to go see Kayla now." Gracie informed him, opening the door fully, letting Nico step into Cabin 7.
" Thanks Gracie. Kayla was in the infirmary, doing paperwork when I left."
"Okay, Nico, thanks. You two have the cabin to yourself- be good!" She called over her shoulder as she left, shutting the door behind her. Nico crossed to Will's bed, sinking down as he waited. He wasn't waiting long when he heard the water shut off and Will humming softly. The bathroom door opened and Will stepped out, wearing his normal orange camp shirt and cargo shorts. His blond hair was still damp and he ran a hand through it before catching sight of Nico. His face lit up.
" Nico!" He called, rushing to Nico. Nico stood just before Will threw his arms around Nico, burying his nose in Nico's hair.
" Easy sunshine." Nico laughed, returning Will's embrace easily. " You've only been gone a few hours, Will" Will chuckled, the sound reverberating against Nico's ear.
" I know, but I missed you." Nico pulled back enough to kiss Will, hands cupping his face tenderly.
" I missed you too" Nico admitted. He took Will's hands, pulling him to sit beside him on the bed. Nico tucked one leg underneath the other, settling against the headboard.
" How was your appointment, Will?" Nico asked, still holding Will's hands.
" It was good. Mostly just checked the healing and told me some other tricks for speeding up the healing."
" How does it feel?" Nico felt Will shift before he answered.
" It feels… like for the first time in my life, my body belongs to me. For so long, I've felt disconected because my body didn't match who I was. It's new and a bit odd, but it also feels right. I don't know if that makes sense or not"
Nico nodded, smoothing a thumb over Will's hand.
" It makes sense. I'm so happy for you- that this makes you feel more at home in your body. Do you have to go back to the city for another appointment? " Will shook his head, pulling his hand out of Nico's with a gentle squeeze. Will played with the frayed hem of his shirt, dropping his eyes to his lap.
"Will-"
"Do you want to see?" Will blurted out, immediately biting his lip and shrinking in on himself slightly. Nico raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at his lip.
" Do you want to show me?" He asked gently. Will nodded, eyes still trained on his lap.
" Hey, Sunshine." Nico gently lifted Will's chin, dark eyes searching Will's light ones.
" You don't have to, I don't expect you to. If you want to, I'm happy to see it, but if you aren't ready, we can take our time. There's no pressure here. Whatever makes you comfortable." Will shook his head, hand reaching out for Nico. He interlaced their fingers, squeezing softly.
"I want you to see, I want to show you. It's just still new." Will shrugged, an apologetic smile on his face.
"I'm still used to hiding my chest from everyone and having to cover it up- either with binders or tape or shirts. The idea that I can just exist and not have the expectation that I need to hide parts of myself. I do want you to see this part of me, I want to show you this." Nico nodded, smiling softly at Will. Will took a deep breath, releasing Nico's hand. He stood up, taking a few steps away. He took a deep breath, lifting his shirt over his head. He dropped his shirt onto the floor, turning to face Nico fully. Nico reached out and grasped Will's hips gently, tugging him back to stand between Nico's legs.
"How you doing, sunshine?" Nico murmured, eyes intent on Will's face. Will pulled his lip through his teeth, resting his hands on top of Nico's arms.
" I'm good. This isn't as hard as I made it out to be in my head. It's possible I was overthinking it." Nico chuckled, eyes scanning Will's face. Will made a face.
" Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked. Nico shook his head slightly, searching for the right words.
" Just seeing you like this is amazing and I'm so happy for you and so grateful I got to be by your side as you came into yourself. Even only having your new chest for a few hours- you just seem lighter. You aren't trying to hide anymore. That's huge, sunshine. The Will I originally met has nothing on this version of you. You like yourself and I'm so proud of you. " Will smiled brightly at Nico. He gripped Nico's hands lifting them to hover just above his chest. Will's eyes, blue like the sky his father crosses every morning, looked at Nico with a mix of tenderness and intensity that made Nico falter.
" You can touch me" Will whispered. " Right here" He guided Nico's hands to rest gently on his chest, feeling the ridge of the scar that stretched from rib to sternum. Nico slid his hand softly against the raised skin, eyes flicking between Will's chest and his eyes. Nico stepped closer to Will, breath ghosting over his exposed chest. Will shivered slightly, hands automatically reaching for Nico's waist.
" I feel free," Will whispered, eyes shining. Nico lifted a hand to Will's face cupping it tenderly.
" Happiness looks good on you," Nico said lightly. He raised his tiptoes to wrap his arms around Will's neck, as Will's arms wound tightly around his waist. Will rocked them back and forth.
" Did your doctor clear you for everything? " Nico wondered, tipping his head up to look at Will.
" What're you thinking of, darling? "Will murmured, letting his thick Texan accent slip into his voice. Nico flushed, burying his face in Will's chest, hand covering his face. He blinked rapidly, trying to remember how to speak coherent sentences with the echo of Will's warm voice, thickening with the use of his accent echoing in his ears. Will laughed as he felt the heat spread across Nico's face.
"That's cheating" Nico muttered, pushing his face further into Will's chest
" Gets a reaction every time" He grinned. Nico snorted, lifting his head to glare at Will, though he knew his smile ruined the effect.
" Get your mind out of the gutter, Solace. I was asking because of Capture the Flag tonight. Promised Gracie I'd help you guys win once you were cleared. " Will laughed, dropping a kiss to Nico's hair.
" No- I'm cleared and ready to play." He reassured Nico. Nico grinned, lip curling.
" Race you?" He yelled over his shoulder as he took off for the door. Will yelped and scrambled after Nico, long legs easily catching up to the shorter boy. He scooped Nico up easily, never faltering in his stride. Nico shrieked, clinging to Will. "Sunshine!" Nico spluttered. Will laughed, loud, and bright and pure, and Nico, watching from Will's arms, fell a bit more in love with his boyfriend and the pure joy it brought him, just to be himself. Nico clung to that thought, as Will ran all the way to the clearing where Capture the flag waited.

The Graveyard Shift
Chapter 2: The Vampire
Also on Ao3
**************
One week later, Nico was still being paid the same, sitting behind the counter and scrolling on her phone idly.
Honestly, she felt like she should be more tense, but at some point, it was hard to stay nervous for an entire shift for days on end. The vampire lady hadn’t come back, she had more garlic anyway, and so far the shop’s defences had stood up fine.
She still wasn’t entirely sure whether Nozomi was messing with her about the werewolves, but either way she hadn’t seen any.
She heard a knock on the door and glanced up, and then scowled.
“Hey, the door’s stuck, can you-”
“It’s not stuck!” Nico yelled back, and the woman scowled.
“It is!” she insisted. “Let me in!”
“I’m not letting you in, vampire!”
“What? I’m not a vampire!” the woman said. “What are you even talking about? Vampires aren’t real.”
“Sure they’re not,” Nico said. “And that guy you walked past with the exposed skull isn’t a zombie, right?”
“That’s just makeup,” the woman said dismissively. “Let me in already. I want a pizza.”
“Order it online, then,” Nico said, looking back down at her phone.
“I’m at the restaurant, why should I order it online?!”
“Because if you can’t open that door yourself, you’re not getting in,” Nico said.
“This is ridiculous. I’m going to call the owner and complain.”
“Go for it,” Nico said. “She’s the one who told me not to open the door for people.”
“Ugh! This is absurd, I’m going home.”
The woman stalked off angrily. Once more passing by the zombies as if there was nothing strange about it. Just like a not vampire would totally do. Who the heck did she think she was fooling, anyway?
Still, seeing her again did make Nico a little uneasy. She’d hoped that after the first time, she’d just… give up and go away. If she was going to keep coming back, though, that was pretty worrying. Who knew when she’d try to mess with Nico’s mind again?
Nico walked out from the behind the counter to peer into the darkness and make sure the woman was gone, and then double checked that the door was shut. Did that even matter, actually? She wasn’t that familiar with vampire lore. If Nico didn’t explicitly invite her in could she get in just by the door being open a little? Probably not, but Nico didn’t feel like betting her life on it.
…And why was her life at risk anyway?! She was just supposed to be manning a pizza place! Why was that potentially fatal?!
Ugh. She really should be getting paid more. She was going to go bother Nozomi again. Maybe she’d call her right now and tell her that the vampire wanted to speak to her and should she give out her number.
…Probably not. She was trying not to die, after all. And she had the feeling that Nozomi could get very scary when she was mad. Dangerously so. No normal person ran a place like this, after all.
“Hey.”
Nico looked up to see the woman at the door again, but now she was looking sulky rather than imperious.
“...Look, I get that you’re not going to open the door, but can I at least get a pizza through the delivery slot?”
Nico narrowed her eyes.
“...You’re not going to try to bite my hands, are you?”
“No I’m not going to bite you,” the woman snapped. “Will you just get me a stupid pizza already? A margherita. And no garlic!”
“Fine,” Nico said. “Put the money in the delivery thing, then.”
The woman walked around the side of the shop, grumbling to herself. Nico put the pizza into the oven, feeling a little conflicted. Was she really making a pizza for this woman right now? She was a vampire. Who’d tried to mind control her.
On the other hand, she worked in a pizza place in the land of the undead. Wasn’t making pizzas for supernatural freaks her entire job?
Nico peered through the tiny window in the airlock. Sure enough, there was a bill in there. She pulled the lever to close the outside and open the inside, and grabbed the money. A ten thousand yen bill… of course a vampire would be some out of touch rich girl. Grumbling, she went to go get the change as the timer for the pizza ticked.
The time seemed to pass a lot slower while that particular pizza cooked. Knowing the strange and dangerous woman was lurking outside, right there on the other side of the airlock, made it a little hard to focus on social media scrolling on her phone.
Finally, the timer went off, Nico boxed the pizza, and then put the box and the change into the airlock and swapped the doors.
A few moments later, there was a knock on the door again.
“I’m not letting you in to get a napkin,” Nico said.
“I wasn’t going to ask that,” the woman said. “I just wanted to make sure, you’re sure you didn’t put garlic on this?”
“What do you care?” Nico said incredulously. “It’s not made of human blood, so it’s not like you’re going to eat it anyway.”
“Of course I’m going to eat it,” the woman said, and opened the box, pulling out a slice.
Nico found herself extremely conflicted. On the one hand, when the woman opened her mouth, her elongated canines were on full display, which sent a shiver of fear down Nico’s spine. But on the other… well, look, it wasn’t like Nico was some kind of weird pervert, but there was something attractive about an elegant woman taking a messy bite of pizza, right? Especially one as greasy and full of melty cheese as the pizzas from this place. The juxtaposition was appealing. Like seeing a nun lift up their habit to show off fancy lingerie.
The woman chewed for a moment and then swallowed.
“See?” she said. “I can eat just fine, thank you. I’m completely normal, so you should let me in.”
“I saw the fangs, Dracula. No chance.”
The woman clicked her tongue. “Whatever. Thanks for the pizza.”
And with that, she strode off back into the night.
Leaving Nico to return to scrolling her phone.
**************
“Where do vampires go during the day?” Nozomi repeated, tilting her head at Nico in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Like, there’s no big western style castles around here, right?” Nico said, gesturing with her fork. This time, they were meeting for Nico’s breakfast instead of Nozomi’s, and Nico was taking full advantage of the comparatively less stressful circumstances to enjoy the meal a little more than the last couple times. “So where does she do the whole like, sleeping in a coffin in a crypt thing?”
“I don’t think there’s any entities in the city powerful enough to start warping buildings around,” Nozomi said. “She probably just rents an apartment and has really thick curtains. Or maybe she sleeps in a room with no windows.”
“What? There’s no way,” Nico said, frowning.
“Why are you so surprised?” Nozomi said. “You said that you didn’t realize she was a vampire until she tried to fascinate you, right? Why wouldn’t she fit into the city?”
Nico frowned. “But she only goes out at night and she’s inside all day.”
“Niccochi, you’re a night shift worker, and you think that would seem implausible?”
Nico crossed her arms. “I do get some sun, thank you,” she grumbled.
“I’m not saying you don’t, but,” Nozomi said, sipping her tea. She always ordered tea. And always glanced into the cup before drinking. Was she trying to read tea leaves? Wait, but this was made with a teabag. You couldn’t read teabags, could you? “If you changed your schedule by a few hours, people wouldn’t assume you were a vampire, would they?”
“...This is too weird,” Nico said. “You’re saying she could be my neighbour or something? And I’d never know?”
“Well, you live a little far from the dead district,” Nozomi said. “She could theoretically live anywhere, but I doubt she’s crossing town to hang around the restaurant. So she’s probably not your neighbour.”
Nico’s frown deepened.
“Besides, aren’t you used to the city having two sides by now?” Nozomi said, sighing. “I mean, really, Niccochi. Do you think the zombies all just evaporate at daylight? Just because the monsters only come out at night doesn’t mean that’s the only time they exist.”
Nico glared at her.
“You know, you really should give me some kind of bonus for destroying my blissful ignorance,” she said. “Like an emotional damages settlement. I wouldn’t know about any of this stuff if you hadn’t decided that you needed an adorable idol to manage the desk at your insane business.”
“Sorry, Niccochi,” Nozomi said. “I’ll give you one of those just as soon as I get mine from the city. But I wouldn’t hold your breath. “
She grinned.
“Most of the people you see on shift can’t hold their breath anyway, right?”
Nico groaned.
**************
The next night, the vampire was back again.
“I’m still not going to let you in,” Nico said, when she strode up to the door.
“Ugh, it’s you again?” the vampire said, pulling a face. “Give me a break.”
“That’s my line,” Nico said. “Can’t you go drink the zombies’ blood?”
The vampire made a face.
“Why don’t you go drink water out of the sewer and eat a rotting dog corpse, then?” she shot back.
Nico made a face of her own at that.
“Besides,” the vampire said, flipping her long hair over her shoulder irritably. “It’s not like I kill people when I drink their blood, you know? So it’s less like you having a steak and more like you drinking milk.”
“Ohhh no,” Nico said. “I’m not falling for this. ‘Oooh, Nico, I promise that I’m just going to take a little blood! It’ll be fine! You’ll be okay! Soooo pwwwwease let me in’ right? I’m not buying it!”
“That’s not what I was saying,” the vampire snapped.
“Sure you weren’t,” Nico said.
“I hate you, you know.”
“Oh nooo, the vampire doesn’t like me. Whatever will I do? I guess I just won’t let her in here, so she can’t do anything about it?”
The vampire in question glared at her and stalked away.
That wasn’t the last time Nico saw her. It wasn’t every day, but over the next few weeks, Nico saw the vampire more than a dozen times. Sometimes she’d come up to the window, see Nico, and leave immediately. Other times she’d stick around to snipe at Nico again. A couple times she ordered a pizza again.
Nico had started to get used to it, as weird as that sounded. It was pretty clear at this point that the vampire couldn’t get in without her permission, so what was there to be scared of?
**************
“You really do have awful luck, you know,” Nico said, as the vampire walked up to the door and peered inside suspiciously.
“Because I keep running into you? Believe me, I know.”
“No,” Nico said. “Seeing a beautiful girl like Nico so many times is an indicator of great fortune, actually. I meant that you never seem to be here when the deliveryman is. Or when any of the walk-ins show up.”
The vampire scowled. “That’s not luck,” she said. “I’m just not suicidal.”
“Huh?” Nico said, raising an eyebrow. “What do you mean by that?”
“Anyone who casually walks through this district in the middle of night to a pizza place in the center of the dead zone isn’t even remotely normal,” the vampire said. “I don’t need some weirdo zombie hunter snapping my neck and throwing me into a dumpster when I try to bite him.”
“Awfully specific fear you have there,” Nico said. “Happened before, has it?”
The vampire blushed, twirling a lock of her hair on a finger and not meeting Nico’s eyes. “N-No! Just, hypothetically, I mean! Not that it would kill me even if it did happen, but it wouldn’t be fun, and it took- I mean, it would take days to get the smell out!”
Nico snorted, and the vampire gave her one last parting glare before vanishing back into the night.
Well, there was the highlight of her shift over. Honestly, before, she hadn’t much minded sitting in the shop alone on her phone. It gave her plenty of time to check out up and coming idols, as well as scouring for new auditions, as thin on the ground as those had been recently. Now, though, she’d started looking forward to the vampire showing up. Their verbal sparring took her mind off how long it had been since she got a meaningful role. And even if Nico wasn’t stupid enough to let her any closer, she was still nice to look at. Maybe that was part of her vampire powers. Lure her prey in by looking pretty so that they’d want to cuddle up close to her and let her sink her fangs in.
For tonight, though, Nico expected that she wasn’t going to have any more social contact.
At least the image of the vampire struggling to climb out of a dumpster with her head at a ninety degree angle was fun to dwell on for a little while.

A Good Guy - A Solangelo One-Shot
Summary: Will might be a lot of things. And among those things, Will would dare to say that he’s a good guy. But when it came to Nico di Angelo, would he ever be good enough, though?
Word count: 3900 words || Rating: Teenage and Up Audiences || Read on AO3
Notes:
1. Based on the song "good guys" by LANY 2. My contribution for @after-everything-pjo-zine project. Check out other fics (each fic is accompanied by great fanart so you just HAVE to check it out) in the zine here.
***
Will might be a lot of things. And among those things, Will would dare to say that he’s a good guy. And he would proudly say that it’s because his family raised him to be one. His Mama made sure that he never forgot to say please, sorry and thank you, and his grandma taught him to respect people. Even though Apollo wasn’t around to be an ideal father as Will was growing up in Tennessee, his grandpa showed him how to be a Southern gentleman.
So yeah, he might come across as a young man who with a sassy attitude. But heck, Will knew that he was a good guy. And he’s proud of that.
But here’s the thing. Here’s a thing about being a good guy. Being a good guy might sound like it’s a good thing to do. But being a good guy also sometimes meant that you’re almost as invisible as a wallflower. Because even though you’re good, there were always be better guys. And one thing that Will learned about being a good guy? Good guys never win.
***
“It’s been almost two weeks, you know,” Will said as he kept his eyes at the monthly medical report that he (pretended) to be reading.
“Two weeks since what?” Kayla asked, but didn't bother to pretend that she's actually interested.
“Since Nico went for that quest, remember? Something about Persephone’s parrot or something?” Will said, still trying to keep his eyes at the notes. Because he knew that Kayla might still see the worry in Will’s eyes. (Sometimes it’s almost scary, how his siblings knew him too well).
“Oh? Really? Has it been two weeks yet?”
“Almost,” Will said, decided to leave the detail that it’s actually has been 11 days and since Nico had left the camp early in the morning and now it was almost dinner, it’s been almost twelve freaking days since Nico left the camp for that stupid quest.
“I mean, of course, it might be nothing but well, I thought it was supposed to be a short, simple quest?” Will continued. “Usually if it’s just this small quest, it never took him this long before. Usually it would just be like, three days, five, at the most, and like, a week if he took a detour to impulsively do something unnecessary, but never this long.”
Will lifted his head and turned to look at Kayla, who didn’t seem to share the same worry as Will. Her eyes were still fixed on the glossy pictures of the magazine that she was looking at. A non-committal hum coming from her was the only sign that she was (kind of) listening.
Will tried to focus on the lines of writing in front of him, but the letters were all jumbled and he couldn’t make himself try to read anything. His mind was too busy thinking about different reasons and scenarios of why Nico wasn’t back yet from the quest.
“Do you think I should ask Chiron about it? Probably he’s heard from Nico, y’know. Like, maybe something came up and I don’t know, maybe Chiron knew or maybe even Rachel got a vision or something, or-“
“Or you could have just contacted me, Solace. Pretty sure that it doesn't hurt to try IM me”
Will stood up and spun to face the direction where the voice was coming from. He did it so fast, he got dizzy because of it. It took him two seconds before his eyes could fully focus on Nico di Angelo, who was staring at him. His face looked nonchalant, but his eyes glinted with amusement.
“Uh, hey,” Will greeted, gripping the desk as he suddenly needed to get a hold of himself. “You’re back.”
Nico gave him a single nod, brushing away some strands of hair from covering his eyes. “Yep. I just got back.” He shrugged his shoulders before continuing. “Thought I’d drop by here before I report to Chiron.”
Will tightened his grip on the desk, trying his best to hold himself from closing the distance between him and Nico just to pull Nico into his arms.
“And uh… What brings you here?”
The emotional part of him wished that he was the reason why Nico came straight to the infirmary after the quest. But the rational part of him shushed him. That damned rational part of him told him that hey, it was him who wanted to see Nico, not the other way around.
Nico kept his eyes at Will and there was something in those dark eyes that Will couldn’t really put his fingers on.
“I thought you wanted me to have a check-up every time I got back from a quest?”
Of course.
Will tried to ease the dull pain in his heart by giving Nico a small smile. “Yeah. Of course. Need to make sure that you won’t fade into the shadows again, huh?” Will let out a nervous chuckle. “I mean, I am your doctor, and a doctor only wants the best for his patients.”
This time Nico stayed silent as he nodded. Will gestured to a nearby cot with his chin.
“Now, if you could just sit down over there, please?”
Still saying nothing, Nico strode to the cot and quickly sat there. Will took a deep breath, mentally telling himself to be professional, and let it out in a long exhale. He made his way to where Nico was waiting for him.
The check-up was a regular one. And there was nothing new about how touching Nico made stupid butterflies do some stupid dancing in his stomach. He ached to ask Nico questions about what happened in the quest and why it took so long. He wanted to know whether Nico ever thought of him while he was on the quest the way Will kept on thinking about him while he was away. He wanted to listen to Nico talk to him, with that slight accent that made his voice so melodious, almost like he was singing.
But it would only scare Nico away.
So he kept his eyes at the board where he jotted down the notes about Nico’s vitals.
“So, uhm… This quest was a bit longer than usual, huh?” Will asked, almost proud of himself that his voice sounded normal.
Nico hummed as he put his jacket back on. “Yeah, we had an unexpected encounter with some empousai. Luckily, David is unexpectedly good at fighting.”
At the mention of the name, Will lifted his head up. “David? You mean the new camper? That Athena kid?”
Nico nodded. “Yeah. For someone who never held a sword before, I have to say that I’m impressed.”
A strange, nauseating heat flared inside Will’s stomach. “Really?”
“Yup. In fact, I promised to give him an extra lesson in sword-fighting tomorrow.”
That strange heat swirled even more inside Will. He stretched his lips into a lame attempt to smile at Nico.
“Oh,” Will said. “Nice.”
“In one way, he strangely reminded me of Percy, you know? The way he held his sword. And Nico continued talking for a while about that stupid new guy. Will listened, humming every now and then just to show Nico that he’s listening.
Half of his mind wished that the harpies would find that David kid to be a nice target for their dinner. The other half of his mind scowled at him for having that kind of evil wish.
“Okay. Everything looks good. Just make sure that you drink enough water,” Will said as he wrote the date and signed his name on the bottom part of the report.
“So I can go now?”
Will nodded. “Yeah, you’re free to go now,” he answered as he walked back to his desk to put the record in the folder.
“And you’re not even offering to walk me back to my Cabin like a good Southern gentleman?”
Will spun on his heel quickly. He stared at Nico with wide eyes, thinking that he might have been hallucinating.
“What?”
Nico snorted and slid down from the cot. “Never mind. I need to report to Chiron first anyway.”
Will blinked, and it took him a full two seconds before he had his voice again.
“Nico-“
But Nico was already one step away from the door. He stopped and looked at Will over his shoulder. The left tip of his lips curled up, just slightly, forming a ghost of a smile. He gave a two-finger salute to Will.
“I’ll see you around, Solace.”
Not waiting for Will to answer him, Nico stepped away. And just like that, he’s out of sight.
Will stared at the open door. There is this hollowness inside his heart that he couldn't explain. Like he just missed a chance.
He always thought that he’s a good guy. Or at least, he’s trying to.
But would he ever be good enough, though?
***
“What are you doing here?”
Lou Ellen’s voice startled Will.
“Me? Uh…” Will scrambled to pick up the book that he just dropped and showed it to Lou, like he was trying to prove something. “I was reading!”
Lou Ellen stared at him with a glint of amusement in her eyes as she gave Will the Look. The ‘don’t-give-me-bullshit’ Look.
“What, am I not allowed to read in peace?” Will said, a bit defensively.
“Hey, it’s cool dude,” Lou said. “In fact, it was nice to see you somewhere else aside from the infirmary,” she added.
Will relaxed a bit, going back to lean his back on the tree.
“I can see why you choose this spot. It’s much quieter than the infirmary on your busy days,” Lou said.
Will hummed.  His eyes flickered to the far left, to the clearing a few yards away, just for a split second before he opened his book.
“And the view from here is also… decent.”
Lou Ellen’s tone made Will quickly look up again at the daughter of Hecate. She’s now grinning at him, like she just figured something out.
“How long have you been spying on those two?” Lou asked, gesturing with her chin to two demigods in the clearing who seemed to just finished sparring.
Will gaped at her. He blinked and quickly shook his head. “What? No! I’ve told you, I was reading here!”
But Lou Ellen didn’t seem to care about Will’s reaction as she waved at the demigods in the clearing.
“Hey, Nico! David!”
Will’s eyes widened in horror this time as he turned his head around, only to see that Nico and the new Athena kid walked towards them.
“Lou!” he hissed in annoyance.
Lou Ellen just gave him a teasing smirk. “What?”
Will groaned and quickly stood up, his book abandoned on the grass as he unconsciously ran a hand over his wild locks.
“Hey,” Nico greeted. “What’s up?”
Nothing’s up aside from his heartbeat, Will would like to answer. But of course, he kept it to himself as he tried his best to school his face into a relaxed, nonchalant, I’m-just-chilling-here expression.
“Nothing much,” Lou Ellen shrugged her shoulders. “You two are sparring together here? Why? Is the arena too mainstream for you?”
The new Athena kid gave a half-smile as he brushed off some hair from covering his eyes. “It was my request, actually,” he said. “I just want to have a...” he waved his right in a vague circular motion, like trying to find the exact word to say. “A more… realistic view when fighting a monster?”
That didn’t really make sense to Will. But it seemed to be an acceptable reason for Lou Ellen as she nodded at him.
“And has Nico been a good teacher for you?” Lou Ellen asked.
Will didn’t miss the way Lou gave him a quick glance.
David’s half-smile turned into a full one. “He is!” He turned his head to Nico and smiled at him, like he was pleased at Nico. “Thanks for teaching me, Nico. You are very good at sword-fighting.”
Nico returned David’s smile with one of his small smiles. A smile that could have filled Will’s chest with warm air. But since he’s not at the receiving end of that smile, it turned Will’s chest into lead instead.
“Anytime. It was a pleasure.”
“You will teach me more, yes? And ah… We also need to talk more. About football.”
This was the first time for Will to really listen to David talking, and he couldn’t help but notice how David’s voice had quite an accent. Especially when he pronounced football, the way he stretched some syllables.
Nico’s face lit up. “Yeah! We should! I know that Cecil played football! Right?” His eyes darted from Will to Lou Ellen, like asking for confirmation.
“Cecil? He does. I can take you to talk to him. Come on,” Lou Ellen quickly pulled the sleeve of David’s shirt and led him away from the other two demigods.
Will watched the backs of Lou Ellen and David who were walking away from them. He could feel nervousness starting to creep in on him as their voices slowly faded away, as he realized that he’s now alone with Nico.
Not that he hated to be with Nico. It’s just… this wasn’t his plan. He wasn’t prepared. And Will hated it when things didn’t go as he planned. He hated it when he was unprepared.
“David played football,” Nico said just when David and Lou Ellen disappeared from their sight.
Will angled his neck to look at Nico. “And when you said football, did you mean soccer?”
“I mean football,” Nico answered, turning on his heels a little so now he was facing Will. “The real football.”
Will snorted and slid down to sit on the grass. “They’re the same,” he said, leaning his back on the tree.
Nico followed Will, sitting on the grass. “It will always be football for me,” he said. There was a melancholic tone lacing his voice. And it made Will wonder, maybe it’s something that Nico used to play. In the streets in Venice, when he was just a kid who had no idea that Greek gods and goddesses were real.
“We, David and I, we were talking about playing here. I mean, it would be great, you know? David said he played midfield. I’m usually,” Nico paused, but quickly continued. “I mean, I used to play as a striker. If we can connect well, that would be really cool.”
Will closed his eyes while his stomach churned with a strange, unpleasant feeling. So, not only was this David kid good in sword-fighting, he’s good in soccer too?
“Do you play too? I mean, you can be the goal keeper. I guess you would be great. I mean, you’re tall and it would be a great asset for a goalkeeper.”
Will huffed. Stuck between the goalposts while watching Nico and David scoring goals? Yeah. No, thank you.
“We’ll see about that,” Will said, still with his eyes closed.
For a while, none of them said anything. Will opened his eyes when he heard Nico sighed. He turned his head, watching Nico stand up. Nico brushed his pants, and gave Will a small smile.
“I’ll see you around, Solace.”
Will wondered why that smile looked a bit strained, but returned it anyway. “Yeah. I’ll see you around.”
He watched as Nico walked away.
Someone would be a good guy for Nico, he thought. And even though Will was a good guy, maybe he just wasn’t good enough. So of course, someone would be a good guy for Nico. Someone else. Not Will.
***
Will didn’t even know why he was here, standing awkwardly near the table where the food and drinks were.
Oh, yes. Because Cecil and Lou Ellen practically dragged him here, to this stupid Halloween party organized by the Aphrodite Cabin.
It’s not that Will disliked Halloween. And it wasn’t like he hated Halloween parties either. What he didn’t like, was seeing Nico talking with David at the other corner of the room. Just looking at the sight made a strange, nauseating fire flame inside of him.
“Pining over di Angelo again?” Lou Ellen nudged him on his shoulder.
“Yeah. How long are you going to act like this Will? Playing it cool while we all know how you wish you’re the one talking to di Angelo instead of David?” Cecil joined Lou Ellen in interrogating Will.
Will only rolled his eyes. “I don’t know what you guys are talking about,” he mumbled, and took another sip of Coke from his cup. He tried to watch the campers who were dancing in the middle of the floor. Some kids from the Hermes cabin somehow got a hold of speakers. And of course, with a little help from the Hephaestus kids, the party had a cool sound system that was now playing pop music.
Lou Ellen sighed. Will stole another glance at where Nico was standing. David was leaning a little to whisper something at Nico. The proximity between those two made it a little bit harder for Will to breathe. He wondered what it was that David was telling Nico. But then Nico turned his head to Will. And no matter how cliché it might sound, Will’s heart skipped a beat when their eyes met. Will quickly looked down to the floor.
Next to him, Lou Ellen clicked her tongue.
“You know what? I can’t take this anymore. It’s been MONTHS. This has got to end tonight,” she said. Ignoring Will’s protest, she grabbed Will’s wrist and pulled him along with her, walking towards Nico and David.
A few seconds later, Will was standing with a flustered face in front of Nico and David.
“Hey, Nico, David! You guys enjoying the party?”
David gave that half-smile again. “Ah, yes. The party is nice.” He angled his neck just a bit so now he was looking right at Will. The half-smile subtly transformed into a knowing smirk. “And you? You… You are the healer, yes? Will?”
Will forced himself to smile politely at David. “Yeah. That’s me.”
David gave a single nod. “Nico talked a lot about you. A lot of good things.”
Will blinked. His eyes darted to Nico, but the raven-haired boy looked away from him. Still, his cheeks were a dark shade of red.
“Is that Cecil over there? I think I want to talk to him,” David suddenly said as he pointed at Cecil with his chin. “Lou Ellen? Come with me?”
Lou Ellen grinned as she nodded and made a 90-degree turn on her heels. “Yeah, come on, David. Let's leave these two idiots.”
And just like that, they left Will again, standing awkwardly less than two feet away from Nico.
“Uh… I didn’t expect to see you here,” Will said.
Nico turned his head at Will, an eyebrow slightly raised up. “Oh? I thought you were the one saying that I need to work on my social skill.”
Will gave Nico a small smile. “Yeah. So. Good to see you here, then. I mean, for your social skills and all.”
Nico stared at Will. And there was just something behind those dark eyes. Something that Will couldn’t put into words. Something that made him unable to look away.
“Aren’t you going to ask me to dance, Solace?”
The question got Will off-guard. Of all the questions in the world, it’s probably the most unexpected one.
“Huh?”
Nico held his eyes at Will’s for another second, but then he looked away. “Never mind,” he said, half-mumbling. His cheeks blushed again into dark cherry color.
“But… do you want to, though?”
Nico’s head turned back to Will. “Want to do what?”
“Dance? Do you…want to?”
Nico bit his lower lip and he looked down for a second. When he looked up back at Will, his charcoal eyes were soft.
“Depends.”
“On what?”
“On who’s asking me to.”
Will’s heart started to jump around in his chest.
“What if it’s me asking you?”
The eyes that were staring back at him were now smiling.
“Then I guess, it depends on the song, then.”
Will’s heart was probably doing some crazy somersaults right now, but his lips curled up without him even thinking about it.
“Well, it’s my favorite song that they’re playing right now. I hope it suits you?” he asked, carefully offering his hand.
Nico’s smile was as soft as the look in his eyes. And the moment their fingertips touched, Will’s heart soared high and suddenly his chest was filled with warm, light air.
As Will led Nico to the floor, he thought about how long he has been wanting to do this, to hold Nico’s hand in his.
They swayed along with the music. Nico’s left hand felt perfect in his right hand. Will’s left hand rested on Nico’s hip and Will couldn’t care less about the other people dancing around them.
“Your dancing is better than your singing,” Nico said, a playful smile on his lips.
Will chuckled. “My grandma said a real Southern gentleman must know how to dance. And I remember my Mama dancing with me when I was a kid.”
“Your Mam raised you well, I have to say.”
Will hummed. “I’m a good mama’s boy, I can promise you that.”
“I can see that, Will. Everyone can see that.”
“See what?”
“That you’re a good guy.”
This time Will held his eyes at Nico. “I try to be,” he said. “But… Would I ever be good enough for you?”
Nico huffed. “And you said I was the dense one.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean…” Nico stopped, but his feet kept on moving. He sighed. “Gods, do I really have to spell it out to you?” He asked, sounding exasperated as he looked away from Will.
Hope bloomed inside of Will and he grinned and oh, how he wanted to shout and laugh. He took his hand off Nico’s hip so he could gently cup Nico’s cheek, guiding him to face him back.
“Do you mean you like me?” Will asked.
“Well, do you like me?”
Will chuckled and he could feel a stupid smile creeping in. “Why do you even have to ask?”
Nico shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know. Because you’re nice to me but you’re also nice to everyone? Because you don’t seem to care even if I talk about someone else? Because you…” Nico stopped again and shook his head. “I don’t know. Maybe because I just…don’t know?”
Will squeezed Nico’s hand just a bit tighter. “I was just… I was just afraid that I’m not good enough for you.”
Nico rolled his eyes. But his lips twitched, like he tried to hold back a smile.
“You’re a good guy, Will. You’re a good guy to everyone. But sometimes I hope that you can be my good guy.”
It’s like a thousand birds were singing inside of Will now as he felt like he was floating in this bubble of happiness.
“Then I’ll be yours, Death Boy.”
Will wrapped his arms around Nico, and pulled him into his embrace.
“I’ll be your good guy, then. I’ll be your everything.”
Nico pulled himself a little away from Will. He looked up at Will and the light in his eyes was like the most beautiful star in a dark night.
“Everything?”
“Everything. Anything you need.”

Aaaaaaand we’re back! Gotta admit I diverted from writing for a bit to catch up on Lore Olympus cause I was wayyyy behind. But! Let’s get going shall we?
————————————————————————
Legacy of Spring
Part 2
Tilting his head, Ethan cheered as he won yet another round of his new favorite card game. “I win! That means you get to show me your home.” Getting up, the boy sprinted to go share the news with his mother, his father chuckling at his uncle’s expense.
“Shut up, Castellan. Like you could do any better.” An annoyed glare was shot to the blond as he went about picking up his cards and figurines, sending them back to his desk in his room.
The older man shrugged nonchalantly, a teasing smile on his face. “I’m not saying I could. But Ethan obviously got his skill from someone in the family.” Watching as both wife and son walked from the screen door, bulging backpack on the boy’s shoulders, he sighed. “Watch over him, will you? He’s never left home except to go visit his grandparents.”
A huff escaped the demigod. “Of course I will. He’s my nephew. Besides, if he can handle the Underworld, he can handle a couple days at camp. But I do want to be included in the next one’s life more.” With a teasing smirk, he met the rest of the family. “Ready?”
“I swear to Hades, Nico. If you let a single thing happen to my boy. You won’t even have to worry about my mother.” There was a protective look blazing in her glare as her pride and joy bounced around in anticipation. “Nothing too dangerous, okay? He’s only ten. I don’t care how good the healers are, I don’t want him to have to see them. But if something does happen, I want to be there. Okay? Okay?” Now addressing her son as well, her expression softened when she took in his joy.
“Don’t worry mom, I got this! And if it’s really as cool as Uncle Nic says it is, then maybe maybe I’ll go this summer. But it’s just this weekend. And I’ve got my gift in case anything happens.” Adjusting his backpack, he ran and gave her a hug before doing the same for his dad. “I love you guys!” With a final wave, he and his uncle disappeared into the shadows.
“He’ll be fine.” Pressing a reassuring kiss to her neck, he hummed. “Come on. Let’s get inside.”
Sighing one last time, the woman fiddled with her bracelet, an old nervous tic she had returning once more. “You’re right. He’s a fighter.” Resting her head on his shoulder she followed him into their house, it feeling quiet for the first time in years.
“Okay kid, here we are. Camp Half Blood. The place your parents met. Remember though, don’t go mentioning it. And if someone asks who your parents are, just come find me.” Looking down to make sure he was understood, he started down the path.
Slowly as to give time for his nephew to take everything in, he showed him around. “Down that way are the strawberry fields and the Big House. But you don’t need to worry about going there, just come to me if anything happens.”
When a horn sounded, the boy looked excited. “What’s that mean, Nic?” In his state, he didn’t notice the wings from his shoes start up and help him hover until he reached his uncle’s line of sight.
Sighing, the man shook his head. “That means it’s dinner time. You’ll sit with me. Ignore anyone else, alright?”
Drooping just a bit, the kid nodded and trailed after his uncle, spending the trek asking him questions. Reaching the mess hall once more, he scanned over the crowds of people, curiosity filling him as he took in all the different people and beings.
Sitting down, the boy grinned as all of his favorite foods appeared on the table. Serving a little more than he usually would for himself, he nearly vibrated in his seat. Looking at his cup and whispering, “pink lemonade.” Seeing it was indeed his favorite drink, he beamed brightly. “Awesome.”
Hearing the soft clop of incoming steps, Ethan sipped from his drink, eyes trailing to his uncle. “When’s it our turn to go?”
“Now. Come on.” Smiling down at him, he shot a sharp look at the intruder before leading him to the hearth. “Hades.”
Balancing his plate carefully, the blond whispered as he poured the best parts of his food into the fire. “Gran and gramps. Cerby too.” Smiling, he followed his uncle back to their table much like a duckling. Sitting down, he dug in, a warmth filling him as his prayers were heard.
“Nico. If you could bring your… guest to the Big House after dinner we can go about determining how to confirm his parentage. Until then, he really should be seated at the Hermes table like all new campers.” Chiron stood tall over the table and held a commanding presence. “Perhaps then you could tell us how you came across an unknown demigod before us.”
Much like his unbothered nephew, Nico barely drew his attention away from his food. “I don’t see why that’s needed. This is Ethan, he’s ten. I met his parents during my travels and they agreed to let him come with me to see if he would be claimed since he’s a legacy.”
Almost as if taunting them all, a pair of wings glowed dimly over the boy's head only to be outshone by a skull which was outdone by the light of a pomegranate. The silence in the hall was deafening. And to think it was broken by the child looking up and grinning, a soft “Cool.” leaving his lips.
Quickly taking this into account, Chiron cleared his throat and kneeled, speaking loud enough for everyone to hear. “Hail, Legacy of Persephone, Kore, Goddess of Spring Destroyer of Light and Men. Queen of the Underworld.” Rising he looked between Nico and the boy, a familiar feeling tugging at his gut. “Do meet me after dinner, Nico.” Turning, he left as murmurs broke out amongst the campers.
Almost as if summoned, a group of three different people came to their table and sat down. “So, Nico… Didn’t realize you were one for kids. What’s the story behind that?”
A snort left Ethan as he came to finish his meal. Feeling eyes prodding at him, he glanced at his uncle. “You were right. They are all nosy.”
A smirk tugged at the man’s lips. “You can’t say things like that without pissing people off, brat.” Looking up, he studied the people before shrugging. “He’s not mine if that’s what you’re implying. But he’s family. My nephew, actually.”
Having caught their attention, sea green eyes studied the young boy, trying to piece which children of Persephone he knew that had a thing for a Hermes kid years back because obviously this one had been around for a while. “You’re ten? That’d put you being born… maybe a year after the war with the titans.”
Here is where the kid laughed to himself. “You all are weird.” Glancing at his uncle for permission, he dropped the ball on them. “I was born two months after the final battle. We had to wait until the fall until we could go visit my grandpa.”
Seeing as that was enough to distract them for the night, Nico rose, causing Ethan to do the same. “Come on, brat. Your mom would murder me if I let you stay up too late.” Ruffling his hair, he led the kid away. Once back in their cabin, he watched the kid get ready before going to bed. “Now to deal with the idiots.”

hello hello, i just posted this fic right now.
below the cut is an alternate ending to the fic because i hate writing angst and i needed some serotonin. but please read the fic before reading the alt. ending<3
-
Getting to the Underworld was a lot easier when she had a child of Hades as her friend. Nico shadow traveled with her to his father’s palace, leaving them right outside the doors. “Thank you,” she said, staring up at the doors.
“No problem. You sure you want me to leave, though?” he asked. Annabeth nodded.
“I’ll be fine,” she said. She had Mrs. O’Leary’s whistle in her pocket. Technically that was Percy’s possession, but the hellhound had always loved her too so she hoped it would still work.
“Okay,” Nico said quietly, somewhat awkward. “See you later, then.”
“Bye,” she replied, and then she was alone. Taking one heavy breath, Annabeth pushed through the doors of the palace.  “Lord Hades!” she yelled, walking in.
He materialized in front of her. “What a nice surprise,” he said, his voice flat. “I love screaming children bursting into my home.”
“My apologies, my Lord. You know why I’m here, though.”
“I do,” Hades said. “But I can’t help you.”
He started to walk away but Annabeth followed. “Yes, you can!” she protested. “Percy saved the Gods, he saved you. He’s the only reason Camp Halfblood accepts Nico. He deserves a better life than what he got.”
“He… he made his choices,” he said, though he didn’t sound confident. It reminded her of what her mother said. Annabeth thought that was bullshit. He made his choices based on the circumstances. He would’ve never willingly chosen this life to begin with, none of them would.
“Do it to spite Zeus, then,” she tried. “This eternal feud with your brothers – this would piss them off pretty good!”
Hades stopped, like he was considering it. The silence grew longer and Annabeth was almost worried she’d crossed some line. But then he turned.
“Okay.”
She blinked. “Okay?” she asked.
Hades nodded. “You make good points. He saved us and he’s befriended Nico, I do appreciate those things,” he said. He grinned, a sight that sent shivers up her spine. His smile had an unintentional (or at least she hoped it was unintentional) evil to it that she didn’t like. “And it would be very satisfying to anger my brothers.”
Annabeth was stunned. This has been her entire goal but she was shocked it had actually worked. After what happened on Olympus, she had expected to walk out of there empty-handed.
“Th-thank you, Lord Hades,” she stuttered. “I can’t thank you enough. You have no idea how much this means to me.”
He nodded once before flicking his wrist. In a cloud of dark smoke, Percy appeared in the room with them. He was translucent but other than that, he looked just as he had before. Hades held up a hand to stop her from rushing forward. “You’ll walk right through him,” he said with a dark chuckle.
Percy stared at her, disoriented. Hades flicked his wrist again and Percy jolted, his body becoming solid again. Annabeth looked at Hades, who then rolled his eyes. “Go ahead.”
Annabeth launched forward, tackling Percy in a hug. He was still confused but his arms tightened around her. “Oh my Gods,” she mumbled. “I got you. You’re safe.”
“Annabeth?” he whispered, starting to regain his senses. She stepped back to cup his face.
“Yeah, Perce. It’s me. You’re safe.”
“I don’t,” he trailed off, blinking at Hades. “You brought me back?”
“Your girlfriend was very insistent,” he replied with a shrug. Annabeth almost laughed. Percy blinked again.
“Thank you, Lord Hades,” he stuttered. “Thank you so much.”
The God nodded. “If you die again, you’re on your own,” he said with a smile. Another twisted-looking one that made Annabeth shiver.
She hugged Percy close again and they heard Hades sigh. “Okay, you guys are gross,” he said. It almost sounded like he was… teasing them? Annabeth laughed quietly, her cheeks flushing as she stepped back.
“Thank you again, my Lord,” she said. “We’re indebted to you.”
“Considering it a favor,” he replied. “Now get out of here.”
His wrists flicked and Annabeth was suddenly enveloped in darkness. Her eyes fluttered open, and she and Percy were standing at the New York entrance to the Underworld. With a delirious laugh, she tackled him in another hug. One that sent them sprawling into the grass. “Oh my fucking Gods,” she said, pulling him as close as she could.
“Annabeth,” he murmured, digging his face into her neck. She pulled back enough to cup his face.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered. “I’m so, so sorry.”
“You don’t have to be sorry,” he replied, staring up at her in awe. “You got me out, Beth.”
“I know,” she said. Her emotions started to creep back up her throat and suddenly she was crying again. “But still. You- you died. That-“
“Wasn’t your fault,” he said, cutting her off. “It’s okay. I’m okay.”
Annabeth pressed her forehead to his. “I couldn’t do this life without you. I didn’t want to.”
“I know,” he whispered. “I’m right here.”
Annabeth sniffled and nodded before standing up, pulling him with her. “We should go see your mom,” she said. Percy’s eyes widened and something in him broke.
“Yeah,” he agreed. They walked there and she told him everything that had happened the past week or so. Getting out of Tartarus, defeating Gaia, visiting Sally, and then storming Olympus. He listened silently, their hands locked between them. Part of her was afraid to let go, as though this were some dream and he’d vanish if she released him.
They were stepping into the elevator, going up to the fourth floor, when Percy let out a quiet breath. “Why am I nervous?” he whispered. “It’s my mom.”
“You haven’t seen her in months, Perce,” Annabeth replied gently. “It’ll be okay.”
“Did you visit her much while I was… gone?” he asked. Annabeth nodded.
“At least once a week before our quest,” she said, a small smile gracing her features. She and Sally had gotten extremely close over the course of Percy’s disappearance. “I even slept in your bed a few nights because I had accidentally ended up staying later than I meant.”
He laughed quietly and dropped her hand to wrap his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into a hug. “Thank you,” he whispered. “You probably helped her so much.”
“She helped me,” Annabeth replied. In those months, seeing Sally had kept Annabeth from slipping away entirely. Sally made sure she stayed fed and well. If it hadn’t been for her, Annabeth would’ve withered away.
“I love you.”
Annabeth smiled and as the doors opened, she quickly tilted her head up to kiss him softly. “I love you, too.”
She took his hand again and they walked through the halls. Stopping in front of the door, Annabeth looked up at him. He lifted his hand, paused for just a brief second, and then knocked on the door. Annabeth held his other hand tight as they waited.
The door opened and then Sally Jackson was in front of them. Her hair was in a loose bun and her eyes were red. She stared at Percy, who was crying again. Honestly, Annabeth felt a bit like crying herself. “Mom,” he whispered, his voice cracking.
In an instant, their arms were wrapped around each other. It was a little funny now that Percy was taller, but that didn’t stop Annabeth from tearing up.
“My baby,” Sally murmured. “I love you so much, oh Gods.”
Annabeth saw Percy’s shoulders shake with silent sobs. Sally’s eyes opened just for a second, but she caught sight of Annabeth and regained enough sense to pull away. “Come inside, let’s get out of the hall.”
They were ushered inside and Percy was being wrapped up in another tight hug. Annabeth excused herself quietly, trailing down to the bathroom to wipe her tears away. She was so overwhelmed with emotion and she wanted to give them a moment alone.
When she returned, they had seemingly just broken apart. Sally turned that warm, loving gaze on Annabeth now and swept her up a hug. “I’m so glad you’re safe,” she said, and Annabeth melted. And then, much quieter, Sally whispered, “Thank you.”
Annabeth nodded and hugged her tighter. She caught Percy’s eye over Sally’s shoulder and he smiled at her. His mother had always loved Annabeth, but it must’ve been interesting to see how much closer they had gotten over the last year. Sally pulled away and looked at both of them.
“Well,” she said, huffing out a disbelieving laugh as she wiped her tears. “We should order some pizza and talk. Paul will be home in about an hour.”
They sat in the living room, Annabeth tucked into Percy’s side and she told Sally about what happened on Olympus and in the Underworld. She looked impressed at Annabeth’s determination. “Well,” Sally said with a gentle laugh. “At least I know I can count on you to take care of him.”
Annabeth wanted to cry. She had always been the one who was supposed to take care of Percy, and yet she had let him die. Instead of crying, because Gods, was she tired of it, she lifted her eyes to Percy. He was already looking back at her.
“Yeah, someone has to,” she said softly. Percy kissed her head.
“I’m glad it’s you, then,” he whispered.
Just then, the door opened and Percy tensed. “Honey?” Paul called out and Sally smiled.
“In the living room.”
“Did you end up…” he trailed off when he entered the room and his eyes landed on Percy. His bag, filled with school papers and his laptop, fell to the ground. “P-Percy?”
In a flash, Percy was off the couch and pulled into another hug. He and Paul had always been decently close, with maybe a hint of natural awkwardness settled between them. After being gone for so long, though, any residual tension had disappeared and they both seemed perfectly comfortable in a hug.
When Paul finally pulled back, he looked at Percy, then Annabeth, then Sally. “I don’t… understand.”
Sally laughed gently. Her mood had improved greatly since they had gotten to the apartment, for obvious reasons. “Come sit,” she said.
Halfway through retelling the story, the pizza got there and Sally brought it into the living room for all of them to dig into. Afterward, Paul nodded slowly. “This was definitely an interesting family to marry into.”
Annabeth laughed quietly and leaned further into Percy. She only had the stomach capacity for a single slice of pizza right now, despite not eating nearly enough the past few months. In a moment of bravery, she tilted her head up to brush her lips against his ear. “Good thing I’m already used to how crazy this family can be.”
His eyes snapped to hers and she smiled slowly. She remembered what he’d said about New Rome, how demigods could grow up, get married and start families. She wanted that with him and she wanted to be sure he knew that. Judging by the way he kissed her, in full view of his parents, she was fairly confident that he knew.
They stayed there on the couches for a while, catching up. Conversation rarely ceased and Annabeth smiled more in those couple hours than she had in the last six months. It was only about 8:30 when Percy had yawned for the millionth time. “Tired?” she asked gently.
He nodded, leaning against. She looked at Sally. “This one is about to pass out on me,” Annabeth said, nudging Percy who hummed. “We’re gonna head to bed.”
“Okay,” Sally said before getting up with them and wrapping Percy in another hug. Annabeth heard her whisper, “I’m glad you’re home,” to Percy.
“Me too,” he replied before pulling back. Sally didn’t hesitate to hug Annabeth again.
“I love you guys,” she said when she released Annabeth.
“Love you,” Annabeth said softly, smiling. Percy echoed the same sentiment, taking her hand and leading her down the hall.
Once they were safely in his room, he quietly locked the door and turned to her. “You know, if this demigod stuff doesn’t work out for me, I could be an actor.”
Annabeth raised her eyebrows. “Why’s that?”
His hands slipped under her hoodie, finding her waist and he pulled her closer. “I’m not tired,” he murmured, brushing his lips against hers. “I just missed you.”
“While I was right next to you?”
“Mhm,” he hummed. “I missed kissing you. Thought I’d have to wait a long time to be able to do that again. And now I’m back, and we’ve barely gotten to do any kissing.”
Annabeth couldn’t help the way her lips twitched upwards. “You would’ve waited that long to kiss me again?” she asked softly.
“I’d wait a million lifetimes if it meant I got to kiss you again,” he replied, his voice devoid of teasing. Finally, he was done with talking and he leaned down to press his lips to hers. Annabeth’s arms snaked up around his neck and she pulled him closer. Walking her backward towards the bed, he muttered against her lips, “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too,” she replied.
Annabeth hadn’t realized how much she’d missed the simple act of kissing him until now. All she wanted to do was get wrapped up in his touch, which wasn’t wise with his parents being down the hall.
For once, however, she decided as she pulled him into the bed with her, wisdom could wait.

Hazy-2: “So we meet again.”
Percy Jackson x Black!OC
*************************
Percy was confused. He and the rest of the seven, along with Nico, were summoned to Olympus. For what? No one knows. All Chiron had said was that Zeus requested, more like demanded, that the seven come to Olympus.
“Do you think something has happened?”
Hazel voices what everyone has been thinking, also making those in the empty throne room more nervous.
Piper frowns “You don’t think it could be another pro-“
“I doubt it.” Annabeth quickly responds. Her mind clearly racing. “If it were another prophecy I think we would’ve already known about it.”
“Then why are we here exactly? Is your dad freaking out again?” Leo jokes looking to Jason who gives him a blank stare before shrugging.
“I don’t know so it’s just best that we wait until the council gets here so that we can find out what’s going on.”
Meanwhile, Percy’s been unusually quiet. He’s not worried. Just curious like everyone else. Little did he know that their answer was walking through the doors of the throne room right now.
The sound of the throne room doors being pushed open draws the attention of the demigods present. Dressed in blue and white robes Nia and her sisters, Zulika and Zuri, stood side by side looking around curiously.
“So this is the throne room of Olympus.” Zu whispers in awe, but her big sister don’t seem all that impressed.
“Oshun’s palace is bigger and grander than this.” Zuri huffs crossing her arms only to be scolded by Nia who gives her a look.
“Be nice. We are guests and even I have to admit that the architecture is fascinating .”
She pauses noticing that they aren’t alone. Once she sees who’s in front of her she laughs.
“Well if it isn’t our beach friends.”
Percy is stuck. Again.
At the sight of Nia he completely freezes. The robes despite flowing around her fail to hide her curves. And Percy wasn’t trying to stare. He really wasn’t but he couldn’t help himself. She looked like, and not to sound cliche or anything, a goddess. Her curls fame her face perfectly and her smile is as bright as Apollo’s.
Tumblr media
(Nia’s hair)
Smirking, Leo nudges him bringing him out of his daze.
“Isn’t that your girlfriend?” He teases making her giggle as she walks over to them with her hands on her hips.
“So we meet again. Hopefully you’ve been staying out of trouble.”
Percy chuckles and gives his signature smirk making his friends either roll their eyes or laugh at him. He’s clearly flirting.
“I wish but trouble sort of comes with being a demigod.”
Nia gazes up at him.” Sounds about right. The stories I’ve heard aren’t all about glory and valor.”
“Stories? You’ve heard of us?” Annabeth asks in surprise.
Zuri smiles, nodding as she speaks up.
”Of course we have. Unlike most, we find it most enlightening to learn about the existence of other pantheons. It’s also because…well you don’t exactly have a good reputation amongst our people.”
“What does that mean?” Frank asks voicing the confusion of the group.
As if unsure to continue the three sisters look at each other.
Turning back to the group Nia speaks up.
“Your parents aren’t exactly kind, especially to those they deem unimportant, and I’m pretty sure you know already that they do make sure that you don’t come into contact with other pantheons.”
She pauses biting her lip.
“That’s also why we’re here. Apparently Zeus didn’t like us or the Ikaki being at the beach that day. He said we were too close for comfort.”
The three sisters roll their eyes in unison.
“That’s why we’re here? You didn’t do anything wrong.” Piper protests.
Percy frowns at this revelation. Surely his uncle wouldn’t go as far as to punish them for nothing.
“That’s why I’m here.”
Everyone looks to see a woman now standing in the throne room. She’s curvy and her face is covered by a veil of pearls exposing only her mouth. Her hair cascades down her back in a wave of curls. Some parts are braided and adorned with cowrie shells. Meanwhile a crown containing jewels and sea shells sits atop her head and a beaded necklace made of crystals sits around her neck. Her dress is what’s most shocking though.…The top is made completely of pearls while the bottom looks like a living body of water. It flows around her elegantly as she walks towards them, the throne room now smelling of the sea.
Tumblr media
(This is just an example of what she’s wearing)
“Mom?!” Nia and her sisters exclaim in surprise.
The woman smiles warmly opening her arms to them.” Hello my dears.”
The girls share a look before breaking out into smiles and huddling around their mother giving her a big hug.
Even the demigods can sense the aura coming from the woman. It’s powerful yet calming and peaceful.
“Does no one else see how bad this could end?” Nico mutters tensing as the woman looks towards the group. Now of course he has no reason to trust this woman who is clearly a goddess. For all he knows she could be evil.
“You must be the demigods the girls keep talking about. They’re quite fond of you.” Her voice is full of amusement as her head turns to Percy.” Some more than others.”
Nia’s eyes widen and she quickly steps in ignoring her sisters giggles behind her.” Ok mom. That’s enough.”
She shakes her head as she looks at the group of demigods motioning to her mother.” You can relax. This is our mother Yemoja. She is,” Nia looks at her”, well she’s many things.”
Yemoja laughs.
“Well to keep things simple: I’m the mother of the Orisha. I’m also goddess of creation, water, motherhood…” She shrugs” Which is why I’m here today. Zeus is being far more annoying than usual.”
A roll of thunder sounds off and she crosses her arms just as several flashes go off symbolizing the arrival of the council.
“Yemoja? What are you doing here?” Poseidon asks in shock once he spots the Orisha of the ocean.
Putting her hands on her hips she nods acknowledging him.” Poseidon, and you should ask your brother why I’m here.”
“Yemoja this has nothing to do with you.” Zeus thunders causing all the demigods and the three daughters of Yemoja to roll their eyes.
“This is going to end well.” Zulika and Zuri whisper in unison.
“Well? This is going to be a train wreck.” Nia hisses in annoyance.
Out of the three, Nia is most like their mother. Compassionate and motherly, especially to their younger siblings. Just like their mother it takes a lot to make her angry…unless you mess with someone she cares about. Then it isn’t going to be pretty.
“Nothing to do with me?” Yemoja scoffs. “You’re trying to show dominance over three teenagers who actually saved people instead of whatever it is you are trying to accuse them of.”
Hera, confused and annoyed, turns to her husband.
“Is that true? Are we here simply because you feel threatened they saved mortals?” She demands.
“Brother, they aren’t even from our pantheon. If they stepped out of line they’re mother will handle it.” Hades interjects. His tone uninterested and bored.
Thunder booms as Zeus slams a fist against the arm of his throne.
“Enough! My word will not be challenged!”
“Heavens above. Here we go.” Nia huffs shaking her head.
“You know the rules Yemoja. We are to never meet. The results could be disastrous.” Zeus thunders.
“Disastrous? Disastrous for who? Eh?” Yemoja demands already having enough of this.
“Yemoja, old friend, please-“ Poseidon starts but is cut off by a laugh that surprisingly comes from Nia.
“This is so stupid! All we did was go to the beach. The ikaki showed up out of nowhere and we handled it. Would you rather mortals get eaten, cuz at this point I’m pretty sure you’d rather that happen than us meeting children that you are sheltering due to your own paranoia.”
“Nia!” Zuri cries out in surprise while the demigods look at her in shock. Her sister hates conflict so the fact she’s being this bold? She’s more than over this.
“Child, watch your tone!” Hera demands.
Nia steps forward shaking her head.
“Why should I? You clearly have no respect for other gods and goddesses. You somehow still think that the world revolves around you and it doesn’t. So many pantheons, big and small, and here you are thinking you have a right to punish people who did what you can’t, and who aren’t even from your damn pan-“
“Nia.” Yemoja calls her daughter, her voice calm but nevertheless causes Nia to go silent.
“Ma binu mama.”
When she goes to take a deep breath to calm herself that’s when she notices her nails have grown longer. So long that they’re almost like talons. Cursing silently Nia quickly controls herself, her nails slowly shrinking as she does so.
“Ṣakoso ara rẹ arabinrin.” Zulika whispers urgently.
“Mo n gbiyanju lati, ṣugbọn eyi jẹ aṣiwere ati pe o mọ. Bawo ni agbodo ti o ro pe o le kan ba wa sọrọ lonakona ti o fẹran?” Nia demands in annoyance.
A hand suddenly reaches for hers taking ahold of it softly before giving it a gentle reassuring squeeze.
Surprised, Nia goes to pull away until her eyes meet pools of sea green. They’re soft and kind, but she can tell that behind those eyes lies so much more.
Nia gives Percy a smile but is distracted once more by Zeus’ annoying voice.
“If the child speaks out of turn again I’ll-“
“You’ll what?” Yemoja demands her calm demeanor suddenly becoming cold. There’s a rumble of thunder so powerful that it causes the entire throne room to shake. Even the gods show expressions of nervousness and apprehension.
“Oh dear.” Nia mutters motioning for Percy and the others to back up.
“What’s going on?” Annabeth demands refusing to move but with a look from Zulika she backs up.
“What’s going on is that your king has crossed the line.” Zuri says her face and voice emotionless but you can see the anger in her eyes.
The demigods watch wide eyed as the mother of the Orisha begins growing. And she grows until she is about 60 ft tall. This causes her to tower over the already tall gods and goddesses in the room.
The already tense room only grows thick with feelings that vary from guilt, regret, and even fear. However, Zeus refuses to let this foreign goddess intimidate him.
“The children broke the laws-“
“Your laws. Not ours.”
Yemoja’s voice roars like the mightiest wave but is also just as soft as an ocean breeze. The skirts of her dress dance around her wildly and yet no water touches a thing or person in the throne room.
“My girls did what you would have asked of them anyway. They were quick, careful, and efficient. You should be thanking them but instead you call them here to scold them.”
Zeus goes to say something but Yemoja raises a hand silencing him. She then leans down until she’s able to look him in the eye.” I expected more from a son of Rhea. You’ve let power go to your head and it will be your undoing.”
The demigods all watch with baited breath. No one has ever been so brave. So bold….Well unless you count Percy. Zeus does nothing but look away from the goddess at her reprimand. This surprises everyone. He’s actually backing down.
Hopefully.
“Whoa. That’s never happened before.” Percy says letting out a soft laugh. A laugh that makes Nia smile despite the current situation.
Annabeth however finds nothing about the situation to be funny. Typical daughter of Athena. Always in her head. Always analyzing.
“It’s not like she’s a titan or something. Why are they so nervous?”
“Mother is older than most of your Olympians. Old enough to have known the Titans during their reign.” Nia explains shrugging as she happily holds Percy’s hand. Something everyone notices but says nothing about.
“Mother also isn’t Greek. Her powers, the Orishas powers, are something they don’t understand. They’d rather not push their luck.” Zuri adds on keeping her eyes on the gods who haven’t moved an inch since their mother decided to grow.
“It still doesn’t make sense. Why?” Annabeth challenges causing the sisters to look at her.
“Why would the gods that locked away the Titans-“
“Because they are not the center of the universe. No matter how much they want to pretend they are.” Zulika states
“There will always be some being, some power, bigger and stronger than them daughter of Athena. Bigger than you. There are things out there that you would never be able to imagine. Things that make you’re gods seem like fairytales.” Zuri chimes in.
These words are simple but they hit the demigods hard. Annabeth and Percy know this already though. They know they aren’t the only ones out there. The Egyptians and the Asgardians are alive and well….
“You’re parents are fools. In a way they think they are protecting you by keeping you away from the rest of the world, but really…they’re setting you up.”
Nia looks up at Percy ignoring the stares and looks of the others in the throne room.
“2 years ago a demigod was killed. He was found in the forest. A son of Hermes I believe.”
She looks to the god in question who’s surprised face confirms everything she needs to know.
“He was going to your camp. He’d already been claimed and a satyr was accompanying him. They were almost there when they heard a sound. The sound of bells. Sweet and mesmerizing chimes that drew them in. Before they knew it they stumbled upon a strange yet innocent looking creature covered in plants and leaves. Not much taller than a toddler. This creature asked them for help. Probably said it was looking for it’s mother.” Nia shrugs.
She looks around the throne room knowing that she has everyone’s attention.
“They didn’t know that this creature was not in trouble. That it was actually a hunter until it was too late. The bells went off again and they were paralyzed…Long story short: it ate them. Or at least as much of them as it could. The remains of their bodies were stumbled upon by other demigods who brought them back to camp to hold a funeral.”
“I don’t understand.” Piper mumbles her eyes look at Nia questioningly.
The room is tense again and Nia hesitates her eyes softening.
“We knew the creature, the eloko, was there. We wanted to capture it, but something stopped us.”
She looks to the gods. And it clicks.
“They wouldn’t let you.” Percy says a frown forming and his eyes darkening.
Nia nods slowly wanting to say something that will hopefully replace that frown with the same dazzling smile she saw at the beach, but she knows she can’t. Not right now.
“It took someone dying for them to allow us to capture the eloko. Know that some did vote in favor of us going after it from the start though, and that was greatly appreciated.” Zuri interjects nodding towards the gods.
Turning back to the council, Percy steps forward next to Nia with his hand still wrapped around hers.
“It shouldn’t have taken that though. Times have changed. Our worlds have never truly been too far from each other either. Our run in with the Egyptians is proof of that. Are you really going to risk your children’s lives again for something as foolish as pride or the simple fact that you don’t think we should interact with each other?”
The throne room is silent.
Gods and goddesses look from each other to the demigod’s present. Each of them are contemplating Nia and Percy’s words. Have they truly gone about this the wrong way? It’s clear they’re having some sort of conversation but the soft smile on Yemoja’s lips brings peace to her children. However that peace is quickly disturbed by Aphrodite’s squeals and claps of excitement. This causes the demigods and daughters of the sea to look amongst each other in panic. That can’t be good.
Aphrodite is silenced with a look and after awhile, and with a few glares from Hera, Zeus speaks again.
“As much as I hate to do so, and due to the fact that I was outvoted, I agree. The council does as well. We’d never truly given it much thought and more harm has in fact come from trying to keep our worlds separated. I will also admit that our pride has gotten in the way more than once.”
This surprises the demigods but also impresses them. Only Percy has gotten the gods to actually listen. Nia had their attention from the very beginning, even if her words did anger a few of them.
Hera nods.” We would also like to issue an apology. You were brought here needlessly and my husband can be quite…impulsive sometimes. For that we apologize.”
With a smirk, Poseidon also interjects.
“I also approve of whatever is going on between my son and this outstanding girl that he seems so taken with.”
“Oh! Me too!” Aphrodite exclaims with excitement as Percy and Nia look at each other wide eyed. As they’re eyes meet it only results in them bursting into laughter as they lean into each other.
“Was it that obvious?” Percy asks trying to catch his breath.
Many “yes’” and nods fill the room.
“You’ve been holding hands for the past 5, now 6, minutes. You wouldn't stop looking at her when we were at the beach and Thalia had to threaten asking her to join the Hunt if you didn't just go over and talk to her." Annabeth deadpans causing Percy to sputter and the others to laugh harder.
“So that’s what got you to come talk to me? How cute.” Nia coos playfully pinching his cheeks as he blushes.
Amused but trying to hide it, Zeus clears his throat.
“If no one else has anything to add this concludes our meeting.”
Curious and feeling a little anxious, Nia looks around watching as each god and goddess shakes their heady. When her eyes land on Poseidon she laughs as he gives her a wink only to disappear leaving behind the scent of the ocean.
One by one the council of immortals begins leaving until it’s just the demigods, Yemoja, and her daughters.
“Well that was eventful.” Leo blurts out causing a few laughs to pass between the group.
“I knew you had a temper sister, but I never thought you’d do something so foolish.” Zuri proclaims smirking.
“I honestly thought she was going to get in trouble. The one time she opens that smart mouth of hers and it’s to scold the Olympian Council? Scandalous!” Zulika teases placing a hand over her heart.
Nia simply sticks her tongue out at her sisters earning eye rolls from them.
“Oh gods. They’re perfect for each other.” Thalia says her voice laced with amusement.
“Wait. Does that mean you’re together now?” Piper can’t help but get excited at the thought of the two being in a relationship.
This earns questioning looks and even a glare from Nico that says “If you don’t say yes I’m under your bed.”
Chuckling, Percy looks fondly down at Nia who now is hugging his arm as she leans against him.
“Only if she’ll have me of course.”
Jason laughs shaking his head at the son of Poseidon’s antics.” Geez Perce. You’re not getting married.”
Percy waves him off as Nia looks up at him.” I would love to but you’ll have to get permission from mother first.” She sings smiling softly.
Turning to the Orisha of the sea, who has now taken on a less towering height, Percy becomes nervous. He really does like Nia and would love for her to be his girlfriend, but with everything that’s happened today…Will she agree?
With a motherly smile those nerves are gone.
“Why are you looking at me? If I didn’t approve I would’ve said something long ago. As long as she’s happy there’s not much I can say except that you have my blessing.”
Nia and Percy sigh. Everyone seems to give a sigh of relief really. They really think these two are great for each other.
“Well there you have it. You’ve got yourself a girlfriend Mr. Jackson.” Nia smiles up at him before standing on the tips of her toes to give him a kiss on the cheek, to which he beams proudly.
A playful gag comes from Thalia.” I’m regretting this already.”
Before Percy can fire back at his cousin, Yemoja cuts in with a laugh.
“Alright. Alright. How about dinner? It’d be my pleasure to treat all of you.”At the offer of food everyone begins shouting causing Nia to laugh. These demigods sure are something, but she knows she wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Massimo Torricelli x Reader
AN/ I added a little something in here let’s see who can find it, happy reading!
The Titan. It was a fitting name for the boat, although yacht would be a better word to describe the large vessels. Nico quickly brought you onboard if any of the staff saw you they made sure not to stay around long enough for you to notice. You could only imagine how this looked, heels left somewhere you don’t remember clinging to Nicos jacket as if it could comfort you. Hair still a mess from being used as a leash to another mobster. The room he brought you to was spacious as well as the bathroom connected. But you could only stand to be in there for long enough to shower, which was Nicos idea. Probably so he could go check in with Massimo. You attempt to push all the thoughts of what happened out of your mind while trying to scrub the unwanted hands off you as if they were still there. It was when you got out that you saw your reflection in the mirror. You mascara was smudged and you could barely recognize the look in your eyes. You’ve went toe to toe with Massimo multiple times before and never felt like this. There was a small voice in the back of your head saying it was because you trusted him even just a little bit not to treat you like that man did.
Pulling yourself together, throwing on a T shirt that’s hopefully Massimos not that you’ve ever seen him wear anything other then a button up. You take your time looking around the titan, you’re still at the dock, waiting for your mafia boss no doubt. He told you to do one thing and that was to stay out and of course you didn’t listen but it’s not like you threw yourself onto the man, he can’t be that mad at you can he?
Finally settling on the deck, it was lined with thick cushions just made to sink into and that’s exactly what you did. Looking up at the stars for who knows how long when you heard car doors slam. Leaning over the edge you see Massimo storming onto the boat with Mario yelling behind him.
“Do you realize what you just did! How important the deal with his family was!”
For his age Mario didn’t move an inch when Massimo spun around and harshly walked up to and towered over him.
“He doesn’t mean anything to me, she does!”
And with those as parting words he made his way back to the boat. You didn’t know exactly what happened at the club but with the reactions you just saw you didn’t think you wanted to. It was a while later when you heard foot steps, you didn’t have to turn around to know who it was.
“Are you okay?”
It felt as if his baritone voice echoed across the deck, made you shiver when it got to you. Finally meeting his eyes you take in his appearance. His jacket is gone the sleeves of his classic button up rolled to his elbows. If you weren’t looking closely you would’ve missed the red splotches on his collar.
“It’s not the first time I danced with a mobster.”
He sighs at your words. Here you go again, fighting him. Although he’d never admit it he wanted you to be waiting for him, maybe seek comfort in him when he returned. He did notice you wearing his shirt, that should mean something. He knows you’re stubborn enough to find a crew uniform and wear that.
The silence gives you time to rethink your words, you said you’d give him a chance and when he saves your life, also ruining some deal they had for you, you act angry at him. Sighing yourself you stand, slowly making your way over to him. Like Mario he didn’t move away, letting you get as close as you wanted. You notice how he still smelled of mint from the same body wash you used earlier. How can someone do what he does and still appear unaffected in every way? You blame the Italian in home for it.
Licking your lips, instantly drawing his attention to them. “I’m sorry”
He didn’t hide the surprise on his face at your apology, one because he’s never heard those words come from you not even when you had hit him. Two, because none of this was your fault and he hated to see that fear you had in your eyes at the club. He made a vow within himself to protect you from that feeling ever again, even coming from him.
“Was it true?”
Bringing his attention back onto you. Not understanding what you mean. Until you elaborated.
“Did you really say he didn’t mean anything?”
“He didn’t.”
“I thought it was an important meeting?”
Releasing a huff, of course you won’t leave this alone. Stepping closer your chests now touching, he brings his hands to your arms softly rubbing up and down while he speaks.
“He dug his own grave. There won’t be a trial for anyone that touches you. I saw red. And Mario is a fool if he though I’d just let this go.”
“I bet you think we’re even now huh? That I’ll just forgive and forget because you saved me.”
This was getting way to emotional, the things he did for you, things he said, you almost liked it when you were fighting more, at least you weren’t confused like you were now. He breath hitting your cheek, hand coming up to cup your face.
“I know you won’t, I know you’ll fight me but I’ll fight for you as long as it takes.”
His lips were brushing against yours letting you choose the next move, giving you the control he held into tightly, the control you craved since day 1. Closing the remaining distance between your lips Holding onto his shirt as he pressed you further into him. He didn’t pull away until you were both panting for breath. He’s thumb wiping away the tears you didn’t know were there. The damn broke when he softly told you it was okay to cry, that he was there. And he was. Letting you ruin his shirt Holding you tightly as cried. Cried for your old life and your new one, for the friends you lost, for the conflicting emotions you have for the man holding you. You didn’t notice he was carrying you until he set you in a bed, in the same room you were in before. Watching quietly as he tucked you in as a normal lover would do. Leaning down to softly kiss your head before picking up the clothes you left scattered across the room, you quickly reach for your phone when he sets it down.
Maybe pictures from home will make you feel better. So deep into the photos you don’t notice the man looking over your shoulder dripping water on your arm, you didn’t even know he left. Holding in a nervous breath as he gently grabs your phone and looks at the screen, would he snap? Would he even say anything? You didn’t know what he would do but you never expected the words that came from him next.
“Do you want to go home?”

hi i really liked your "Gift Giving: DMC5 Boys"! can i get some headcanons about the boys around their crush? thank you in advance!
The DMC 5 cast around someone they like❤
my first request! I hope I do this right hrngsh  ft. the cast of dmc5 with a gender neutral crush.
Dante:
He’ll be overly friendly and excitable when you’re around
Calls you endearing nicknames all the time. He has a new one every time.
“Hey pipsqueak.”
Dante will also love talking to you. He’s willing to talk about any subject, or to just listen, for hours (which is surprising because he usually has the attention span of a goldfish)
Vergil:
Tries his best to hide it but fails miserably.
He stiffens whenever you’re around. Give him time, he’s just nervous
He’ll trip over his words occasionally when speaking to you. If you decide to poke fun at him for it you can watch as he gets more and more flustered.
Nero:
The most ‘normal’ when it comes to dealing with a crush
You could almost mistake his behavior for just being friendly. Almost. He gets flustered, but he’s good at hiding it.
Nero goes from, grr tough punk to hi! how was your day :) in the span of two minutes
V:
He’s quiet, but (unlike Vergil,) he’s calm with you. He’s content with just being around you.
Shadow purrs around you, and Griffon pokes fun at you less. They know.
Humans are strange creatures who seek comfort and he’s no different.
Nico:
She’ll openly flirt with you.
Invites you out to just go drive all night.
Nico’s the most comfortable with it. Of course she’ll want something more to come from your friendship, but she’s fine if it doesn’t
Lady:
She’ll make fun of you and act annoyed, she doesn’t mean it with ill-intent, it’s just how she ‘flirts’.
Smiles when you make a joke, laughs at you if you trip or fumble.
There’s no malice behind her insults, and you know it, no matter how convincing she tries to be.
Trish:
Rivalry... but make it sexy.
You both scowl at each other when you walk past one another.
Again, there’s no malice behind it, just mutual rivalry whether that be in fighting, work, or even just seeing who can run up the stairs the fastest.
I hope I got the grammar and spelling right and everything. These are shorter since there are more characters. Thank you for the request anon!
