Before the new episode of the anime drops, let me drop this theory that I’ve been having for a year now and why I think it might come true in the next episode.

My theory is that I think 9S is going to die in the stead of 2B. Let me explain.

So far the anime has had some, on first glance big differences compared to the game. Like Lily living instead of Anemone, and Eve dying before Adam. And it seems like these things would be a major change, but in hindsight, it changes overall nothing. The most we get from it is a character study from those characters when they are put in these new scenarios. This isn’t a bad thing.

I believe that the anime is telltaleing the viewers, making us think these are major changes that might change how the story goes and maybe even change the the ending but in reality, no matter how it gets there, Ending A and B still happen the same way. This also isn’t bad thing

Where this theory falls in is this thought I had, “Would Ending C & D change that much if 9S died instead of 2B” what I think is no.

Let me put you in this hypothetical: Your 2B, YoRHA is destroyed and you just escaped with 9S, and while this is very much a bad thing, seeing that most of YoRHA units got the virus and are now killing zombies, in the back of your head. This is perfect.

With the death of the commander and the whole space facility destroyed, you have no reason to kill 9S anymore. There’s nothing he can find out. And even if he did there was no reason to. Yeah there’s still the machines that are responsible for this, but after all of that is settled, you're done, forever!

You can just live your life with 9S on earth. Never having to worry if this will be the day you have to kill him ever again. And in a way with the facility destroyed there’s no way to come from being killed. So they can live their lives like humans! Finally living lives without care! Finally getting those T-shirts.

First you have to find 9S. Stop the machines so they can get to the good life fast. And as you ask your pod to give you his location to find him. And as you get close, you run across this bridge, and when you're halfway there you see him! You yell out to him but then you notice something.

By A2 no less…

As he falls lifeless on the ground. Your mind begins to scramble. He’s dead. He’s dead, forever. He’s not coming back again. And you’ll never see his face, his smile, his voice, ever again. He’s been taken from you just when you're finally free.

And it’s all of A2’s fault

A2 killed him before she could even say goodbye. Before she could say anything! She killed him! Something only she was supposed to do! She gets to decide when to kill him, not her!

So she’ll kill her! She’ll take her away from this earth with her own bare hands if she has to!

So yeah, I don’t think this would change anything with C & D. 2B would have the exact same bloodlust towards A2 in this scenario. And that rage would have been manipulated by the red girls the exact same way, because I’m mostly sure, that 2B didn’t even know why she was killing 9S, all that he found out too much information, information about what? She doesn’t know. And the truth would absolutely drive her insane.

Also it is a bit suspicious that the first OP of the second half isn’t on YouTube officially but the ED is. Which said ED just happened to be about 2B. And Almost as if the OP is going to change.

And it’s also weird that the 2nd Cour trailers, even the most recent episode, only consist of scenes and voice lines from the first episode. And yet the 2nd OP pretty much spoils what happens in C & D, but the first OP didn’t. Pretty suspicious. Just me though

Someone on Twitter pointed out the Run Speed Up says "inkling or octoling form" I wonder if we're going to be able to pick our character OR I wonder if a certain Agent will make a return and we will be able to play as both in different scenarios?

Since Marina is nowhere to be found in the trailer my two theories are, Marina is somehow the antagonist or, with this inkling/octoling ability Marina is going to be supporting Agent 4 while Pearl supports 8?

Para natural chapter 8 is literally peak and yes it is that serious to me.... If you dont understand it perhaps you need to reread the comic because this is when Zack gets to connect a billion red strings and take their baby gloves off and start fucking balling at full speeds. Chapter 8 is basically when Zack is like "hey you know this story youve been reading for 500+ pages? Well" *nier automata opening credits*

Homura's Silencing Sayaka

As we know from the end of Rebellion, Sayaka is aware of what Homura has done and even when Homura enforces her will on Sayaka, some part of her still is adament about things not being right (like Homura in Rebellion).

As I've mentioned before, the dynamic between Homura and Sayaka is one of the aspects I am looking forward to the most. To restate, I basically want Homura to use Sayaka as something of a confidant, or someone to go to to gloat about this new paradise she has created for Madoka. Sayaka would be, not necessarily a conscious or angel on the shoulder, someone who argues on behalf of what the law of cycles, on behalf of Madoka's wish.

So then this image happened...

Now, I'm gonna base this theory on a detail not from Madoka Magica-not that I'm aware of this symbolism being used anywhere in the series-but from Nier Automata.

In Automata the main characters, 2B and 9S, wear blindfolds. The in game explanation for this is that it's actually a pair of goggles that acts as a hud for them. There are also characters called operators who are also masked, but these masks are shaped like veils that covers their mouths; in game explained as microphones/communicators.

Symbolically, and spoilers for Nier Automata, the veils and blindfolds represent the forbidden truths of their world. 2B and 9S are blindfolded, not allowed to see the truth. The operators' mouths are veiled, not allowed to say the truth.

Back to Madoka Magica, here Sayaka is half blinded, mouth covered. Unless this is just bait-which it very well may be-I can't help but wonder if this is a sign of Homura trying to gag Sayaka. Sure, Sayaka is without bandages in other parts of the trailer, but she also isn't a magical girl in those scenes. Homura wants Sayaka mute and blind when she has access to power, but one eye is uncovered. Sayaka is still seeing the truth.

One unblinded eye grants Sayaka the ability to perceive half the truth, but her covered mouth will prevent her from talking of this truth.

Hello, I saw your rant on Drakenier lore and honestly I agree. While I do enjoy the occasional "oh those line up really well" lore, I choose to stay away from the fandom because they love to make it connections where there doesn't seem to be any. I don't enjoy a lot of those theory posts because they are way off Taro's vibes, intentions, and style.

Also I'm sorry you experienced such bad things in the community. Thank you for the translations, nonetheless, and I will cherish what memory I have of them should they be pulled completely off the net.

Okay, so I got this ask on March 16th of this year not long after I kickstarted this little blog and I VOWED not to come back to it till I actually was able to privatise my works and!!! The day's finally come!!! Accord's Library is shut down!!!!! I honestly cannot believe it's happened, I wish I could put into proper words how emotional the news was for me 😭 I was honestly scared they'd be stuck up there for years and I'd have to live with that paranoia and weight in my chest forever, but just??? Waking up? Knowing I'm finally free is such an unbelievable feeling, I honestly don't know how to put it into words. I've never woken up with a smile on my face so many days in a row before!!! I didn't even have an idea that it was weighing on me that heavily. I can go dark, shut down and take some time for myself, and who knows? I might even be able to get into translation again by 2025!!! I'm so excited aaaaaaa!!! I've been trying AGES to get my works back under my belt for even a moment of peace, i was beginning to think it might never be possible :,) Honestly, I get a lot of people might not be thrilled at the whole "I'm HAPPY your favourite fan archive got shut down so I can do my silly little hobby again :)))))" thing but honestly, I've realised I don't do it for them so much as for myself and the other silly little perverts who just want to see what's out there and see every iteration of their blorbo and whatever "Oh, that's what x was about" The Drakenier fanbase is small, so I might not exactly have the same small circle to share these things to like I used to and that can be demotivating at times, but again!! so like this is absolutely a result of it not being something worth the time of the developers to change But in nier automata if you're connected to the internet you can find the bodies of other players that died while playing (you can either take their items or resurrect their body to fight with you) and the thing about that is no matter whether you're playing as 2B or 9S the body you leave behind has visible breast forms. so like if you so desire you can interpret that as 9S just binding all the time

Finished reading Caleb's Limited Myth Decoherence and OWWW

I'll just be rambling my thoughts and things I've gleaned from twitter theories. SPOILERS; obviously!!

It was so painful 🥲 he acts a lot like Caleb from the Standard Myth when he believes MC doesn't remember him. He comes across to me as someone caring for a loved one with dementia. The gentleness and patience he holds is so compelling yet heartbreaking. The pain MC endures here is especially cruel, it's as if they never escaped Gaia Research Lab...

It's shocking yet refreshing(?) how lifeless MC is in this myth. Until Caleb breaks her out and gives her a dream to live for, do we see life return to her eyes. The way he's so overjoyed whenever MC recites a memory or experiences happiness. His happiness really is tied to hers 🥺 Like he's reclaiming her humanity from the researchers.

But that begs the question; just how much of his past-life memories does he remember through dreams? He seems to be so knowledgeable about what "normal human life" is. Have his memories shown him what kissing and amusement parks are like? He's a lot more human compared to her...

SIDE NOTE: And bc I've seen haters on twt come after every story beat claiming it's stolen from another LI's. Yes, he has similar qualities to Dawnbreaker but the major difference is Zayne's Dawnbreaker is a parallel timeline running alongside Dr Zayne's, while Caleb just has past memories in the same way ALL the LI's seem to remember their past. Caleb is different in which his Limited Myth is the one with the memories and (presumably) not his current self!

I love the running theme of his lies and deception for her sake continues in this myth. It's not Caleb if he's not a shady liar!! ☝️😌 Him breaking their promise is so in character, and it's even more heart wrenching when you know how much promises mean to MC in every timeline. And the self-mutilation in breaking his hand receptor??!? I thought the spoilers I saw were exaggerating but wow..... His resolve to switch their fates perfectly parallels his present day goals. He will become the perfect weapon so she can be free 🥺

The only thing I disagree with most on is how most CN trope consumers tend to harp on how the EN localization waters down the gege/forbidden love aspect of his character. I usually agree and think it enhances the main story, but in this myth specifically, I don't see a point in him being her gege rather than her "friend". They're living weapons, their programming is literally built to reject the idea of being alone and happy together. That's plenty forbidden for me. I will say simply, translating it as "friend" is a little lackluster but I still get it! Maybe it's for consistency sake, but I find it unnecessary in this scenario to phrase that only someone who is "family" can care for her that much. They are shown to be twin flames, connected in each other's joy and pain. That alone is enough for me, no need to specify the brotherly aspect anymore. They're soulmates.

Speaking of the EN localization, HIS EN VA COOKED !! The almost-crying line delivery that stuck with me from his Catch-22 card was the star here! The vulnerability in his voice and face whenever MC confesses she wants to be with him. He reacts the way I MYSELF reacts whenever he's the one saying something heartwarming!! 🫨 AND THE FACIAL ACTING.... The many blinks he takes before their kiss, as if he's in disbelief of what he's seeing. Fr tho, what dreams/memories is he having to know to kiss with tongue? 🤨 AND THEN IT ENDS AT THE BEGINNING.... THE SUPERNOVA WITH A RENDITION OF HIS THEME, WEIGHTLESS PARADISE (?) 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

CONCLUSION; I loved this myth, and as a Nier Automata fan I ate up the scenario. I do think the gunfight sounds were pretty noisy and I caught a couple typos, but it's still so beautifully crafted. This story was probably the most bleak and hopeless one yet, with danger always on their heels. I still like Lucid Dream, his standard myth more though. Maybe because it was brand new and shocking, and this myth heavily parallels it. Being exposed to these storylines and his deception for the first time was life changing. I still stand by my opinion that every Caleb story/card is really masterfully written. There's so much care poured into him, I'm so glad he's back after all this time 🧡🧡🧡
