It actually pisses me off so much to see people changing N25's genders and pronouns out of the blue (transmasc for the gender's part and he/him/his/they/them/theirs for the pronouns' part as the most used examples), like the PJSK official has never said anything about N25 being any of those above gender or pronouns, they are all said to be females, except for Mizuki's gender being unknown? (눈‸눈|||)
This post isn't neither directed at anyone (perhaps directed at one specific N25 blog named @`probably-not-niigo and their anons only), nor has any aims to spread discrimination against transmasc people with he/him/his/they/them/theirs pronouns; if you do find this post offensive, I deeply apologize for that! for reference, i use she/they pronouns for mizuki
in her first focus card, she’s surrounded by pink, which i interpret to represent her secret. they’ve surrounded themself with what she likes: clothes. this plays into the fashionista archetype, a character that wants to be !! the gacha is called “secret dressing room”, which is a way of saying “in the closet”.
this card shows where they’re at in the beginning of her storyline: in the closet, surrounded by secrets.
her next card, the hermit card, is a reference to the tarot card, the hermit. it represents knowledge and how it will come to those who seek it. one portrayal of the hermit i think fit’s mizuki just perfectly is where he (the hermit, ofc) is standing between a divided line with one foot in reality and one foot in fantasy.
the overall point of this card set, i feel, is to show that mizuki is going to go down their emotional journey/path, marking the start of their character development. the best way to describe this card imo is “the ballad of the witches’ road” from agatha all along; she’s going to go through a wild, twisted road filled with tricks and trials with her coven (kanade, mafuyu, and ena), all while holding death’s hand in hers.
inorder to move forward down their road, mizuki must first travel back, leading us to now, i wear this ribbon / and now, the ribbon is tied. this event focuses on mizuki’s backstory and is an arc ender to focusing on backstories and why the girls feel the way they do; the phrase “and now, the ribbon is tied,” means putting something to a close, as how tying a ribbon is the final part of say a gift. not to mention, the album cover for let me be your night shows 25:01, indicating that time is moving on and now so are we.
in her trained card, mizuki is shown sitting by a window shining pink light with a nasty green glow emitting from the background. the pink light is how mizuki portrays themself: an adorable girl, that’s all she’s ever been, right? …right? the looming green light says otherwise.
in the card, mizuki is crying. now, this is a bit of a stretch, but this could be because she knows she’s not who she says she is, who she wants to be. the green light will always be emitting in the background, and when they’re not sitting in their pretty pink light, the only other option is the green light.
her kitty card reminds me of the scene in the original mv of the lower one's eyes where the maid (who is mafufunnie in this analogy) is left alone, crying in the rain. the witch (mizuki) sneaks up behind her with her umbrella, and instead of taking cover under it, the two dance the rain away in their own special way. i always saw this card from mafuyu's perspective. mizuki's holding out their umbrella, offering her shelter from the pouring rain. it's basically mizuki saying "i understand your misery".
FINALLY her most recent card circles back and takes place in the secret dressing room. the color is gone and her secret is out, yet she stays in the closet, refusing to see that the cat's out of the bag.

has anyone else noticed that mizukis focus cards progressively lost color and got darker?
like in secret distance, her card is bright and purely pink.
but, in my footprints your destination/what lies behind what lies ahead, the event where (correct me if im wrong i dont actually read stories) mizuki first lies to ena about her secret, you can see dark spots around the corners of the card, slowly inching closer to her.
it follows this same pattern in and now the ribbon is tied & our escape for survival, where the pink in her cards slowly begins to dwindle around mizuki. (notably in the former; pink shines through the window, welcoming, but mizukis eyes are closed, and she cant see her own salvation. in our escape for survival, the pink is on her umbrella, which she offers to the camera, likely mafuyu.)
and now were at where does the path of thorns go, and mizukis card is the darkest its ever been, except for a striking red, which is a darker form of pink. shes back to the same place as her secret distance card, but its empty now. there is a bright light behind her, beckoning her to the rest of her group, but her eyes are covered—even if they werent, her back is facing the light. shes choosing to look away, to isolate herself again.
(again please correct me if any of this is wrong im not a story reader nor a generally smart person 💔)

Ohhh i just finished reading mafu6 and there will be spoilers here so be alarmed
The story made me feel like i was stabbed in the heart and they twist it to make it more painful
When things finally started to be better and Mafuyu's smile is starting to become real even at school (judging by emu's reaction)
they just nope and gave us false hope
it's honestly expected and i expected it to not end in a happy ending (like hello the instrumentals is already concerning enough) and its really painful to watch
I really wish the best for the Asahina Family
You could see that Mafumom was trying her best to not hurt Mafuyu and consider her feelings more and is trying her best to support Mafuyu in any way she can but Everytime she thinks she says something wrong she apologize quickly and tries to steer of the conversation, you can see it affect her and she even went to council(i forgot the word for it) to learn how to be a better parent and for Mafuyu..
Mafuyu feels like she's burdening her mother and making her suffer again and she doesn't want her mother to feel hurt because of her and so she went and went back to her old habits and hides her feelings again to not burden and hurt her mother more but in turn it ended up hurting them both in the process
They both experience trauma but they are trying to fix it but sometimes they ended up making some bad decisions so it ended up going back to square 1
Honestly Mafudad is definitely a great dad, He noticed immediately that Mafuyu was hiding her feelings again when talking about the topic and along with Kanade helps Mafuyu say what she feels which then causes Mafumom to realize what shes doing is hurting Mafuyu again which makes her feel guilty
So Mafuyu comes back to Kanade's house again to settle down and calm down a bit..
I really wish the best for them, I hope they could communicate better, they are in a cycle of hurt and im sure with the help of mafudad and the rest of niggo then they could finally heal and move forward... and afterwards its Kanade's turn to suffer whahahaha/j

A spoiler for Kana5 and a bit of an analysis on Mafumom and theories on Mafu6
In Kana5 we're starting to see just what kind of character is Mafumom in a light not affected by coldness but with warmth
Kana5 ends with Mafudad inviting Mafuyu to finally talk to her mother and Mafuyu wanted Kanade to come with
We were finally starting to see what kind of person Mafumom is and how her guilty she feels when she realized how much she really hurted Mafuyu
Mafumom thought she was doing the right thing, the best for her daughter but once she realizes that she was doing the exact opposite of that, i feel as if she wants to change
I always felt afraid of her and how good the writing of the character but i always felt like she was never a bad person but just someone who made some really bad decisions
In Mafu6 i feel like we're going to see that light of warmth from Mafumom, I feel like she would listen more and actually consider Mafuyu's feelings
I feel like Mafu6 is finally the event where Mafuyu actually starts to finally heal and be herself
meanwhile with Kanade..
I feel like she would feel like she's falling behind, Everyone is moving on without her and i feel like she would feel stuck
i feel like she wouldn't accept that her song won't save Mafuyu and that Mafumom loves Mafuyu
She's seen it with her own eyes yet she still can't accept it, accept that her songs won't save anyone just relive them
i think that in mafu6 or in any future niggo events she finally realized that she never truly saved anyone she just managed to give them enough hope for them to not give up and finally take action
and that would cause her to go into what seemed like a never ending spiral of despair
because if she never saved anyone then what was she good for? she failed at the one thing she was good at, her only purpose in life is to compose songs that could save someone and if she can't even do that then there is really no point in living anymore, is there?
though im pretty sure it will be pretty subtle about it because Kanade always push her emotions aside but she can't push them forever and i think that she would occasionally snap here and there just like the main story
Kana5 is only the rising action so i really am afraid of what will happen in the climax i bet its gonna be so much worse than any of us will expect
Anyways sorry for the rant, i just felt as if you were a good person to rant abt something like this im still sorry tho
no no thank you!!! i appreciate a good yap :3
im pretty much with u on everything u said. i mean im worried about them downplaying the severe psychological damage that mafumom did to mafuyu and letting her be forgiven too easily. i think kanade's right to be angry and more unforgiving towards her tbh. but honestly i really dont know how they'll handle that situation or attempt to repair mafuyu's relationship with her mother. even if she realizes her mistake, the damage was done. but anyways
yeah i think one way or another, kanade will be hit with the realization that she can't save mafuyu, and likely start questioning everything she lives for. i could see it being a really bad spiral for her. like kanade herself coming undone. questioning her identity, what she's good for, her reason to live, etc. and also likely having to deal with the existing guilt from her past as well, because that was what pushed her to act as a savior in the first place. because that's the only way she can atone.
but ya thanks for rambling w me, im super excited for this next arc and what it'll mean for kanade :)

Following up on the Kanade post, let me remind you that all niigo members have ribbons and, obviously, all of those have meanings.
Collars and ribbons were always used as a mark of property, something you can't untie with easiness, something that can be an accessory just as a choking trap, so I think it fits fairly well. Let's look at some examples:

Kanade's is striking because unlike with the others there is no red to be found on her design, yet it's still a crucial part of her. Red, the colour of passion, of rage, of danger and of life. In literary analysis, red collars and strings often symbolize guilt or crime.
Just like Kanade, all the Virtual Singers also have red ribbons around them. And if that's not enough, Luka and Meiko have red strings wrapped around their hands, opposite to each other.
Mafuyu's is blue, but not the faithful light blue of Kanade's eyes, it's dark like the depths of despair. And not be your average lit professor but blue symbolises sadness and depression in any media.
Ena's is brown. The most common of all colours, the colour of dirt, of mud, or muddled paint, but also of vitality.
Mizuki's is pink, the colour of cute pretty things. And maybe if it's tight enough around their neck they can become one too.
Not only that, but all niggo members wear a black one too. Black, the colour of the night, of despair, of death and sorrow. But not the colour of Nightcord.
Because Nightcord is purple.
Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce rage of red. It is often associated with mystery, ambition, creativity or wisdom and is on this thin line between warm and cold colours, black and colourful. But it's neither of those, nor life or death, nor joy nor woe.
And if that's not niigo I don't know what is.

The fact that Ena was doing everything to find Mizuki is insane like it shows the things that Ena would do for Mizuki, and even after Mizuki broke down, she was gentle understanding and caring. She didn't care what people might think of her if she hang out with Mizuki because ultimately she's happy with Mizuki, and Mizuki was happy with her and the rest of niggo and the fact that the rest of niggo (apparently) try to find Mizuki shows how much they care for Mizuki. Even if their scared, they want to genuinely understand and ultimately support Mizuki in whatever path she feels is best for herself.
And to have that to feel seen and accepted even if it's hard to understand, but they try to understand anyway that's beautiful

I stumbled across the post clowning on people using niggx as a gender neutral nigga, because it’s literally gender neutral. But I was wondering, if it was gendered, would it be the masculine or feminine version.
Someone pointed out that a is a feminine suffix and o is masculine. So my friends and I came to the conclusion that niggo is the masculine version.
We’re now changing lyrics to rap songs by men to reflect our new discovery.

I wanna know what kanade have that I don't because, like almost every single time she meets a girl, it feels like they could work so well inside and outside of niggo. Example: Ichika x Kanade (two girls who are learning from each other and also like strangers to lovers trope)
Honami x Kanade (they have a literal comic event and they have a soft moment together like come one tell me they are not married also this is like the trope where one take care of the other and by taking care of each other they slowly get to know each other better and they start being more healthy and stuff and good I LOVE THEM 😭😭😭😭😭😭)
Minori x Kanade (they have an event together and in that event it was basically both of them being girl failures you can't tell me other wise they gave me the trope of girl failure x girl failure if that make sense)
Ena x Kanade (Ena always always ALWAYS gets flustered whenever Kanade compliments her works like why you blushing girl, their tropevwould be one-sided I think in my opinion)
Kanade x Mizuki (I don't have much about this one but I like bur after reading into it wow.... that was insane just imagine this your Kanade after remembering a broken memory of a flower it reminded you of the times where your family was back together and how broken you feel without them now, feeling sad how much you have to suffer trough your friend tells you how much your songs helped you in a difficult time in their life and without you they wouldn't even began too know how they would manage to find who they are now and with a smile you continued on wards to find that flower. Goddammit bro like tf it's kind of indepth tho like.. wow their trope would be you made me accept myself x I just make song)
Mafuyu x Kanade (ok there's so much for these two so I'm not going inbepth like Mizukana cus there so much but I notice how much is in this ship, if you want to understand them you have to understand the other and how they changed especially for Mafuyu if you want to know Mafuyu you also need to know what an impact Kanade was for Mafuyu and vice versa. Their literally soulmate like that's their trope)
There's also rare pairs that are so good but these are the one I wanna mention this is so long and I need to sleep bye bye :>
