Some drawings of Nya I made a long time ago, since I still have an art block and can’t draw now I decided to not kill my blog and just post this. I got inspired by a panel of Oshi no ko. I still think about how Nya is being treated unfairly during Skybound and how much more she deserves. This is how I think her inner self feels while she is crying you can’t read her expression clearly is it sadness, indifference, or just a blank expression? In red nick I had written some frazes from Skybound like from the inretvie in the first episode of Skybound saying “Like her? Meh?”. And also Kai’s little sis short for sister since I didn’t have anymore space for the ter to add.

Delara is also there written due to how much Nadakhan wanted Nya to be Delara and called her that thinking she is Delara. Seeing her only as Delara and not a different person, a vessel for him to bring Delara back, manipulate and use.

The green spot in the middle is from the poison that had hit Nya covering her water symbol showcasing how her identity is being erassed little by little with the progress of “The Way Back” as how she gets possessed by Delara completely erasing Nya as a person. And also the green eyes are meaning of how Delara’s spirit had been in her body and had changed her while I see and usually Nya in my art had blue eyes and Delara gree. The green eyes a reflection of how Nadakhan was seeing Nya as a replacement of Delara or a way to get her back.

The quote on the bottom corner of the second picture is too shows Nya’s frustration of how people see her as only the girl ninja and not as a whole person. Which is complete different from how she was Samurai X which she had created and was an identity she had crated ans given herself not one that she had to take because other told her to do.

The water is Nya’s emotions and feelings Nya is not allowed to show cause she might be seen as weak and give in to the girl stereotype she is first put through by Daret and other people. It is not clear if this pool of water is deeper or not or it’s just that pool or a bigger one Turing into a sea.

The dark color contrast to Nya’s red colors show cases how dark and deep her mind.

Exploring new art styles with Nya's climber suit. I prefer her Gi in blue. Yes, underneath, it's dark blue, and the rope is brown.

Red looks good on her, but in the show, she expresses that she doesn't want to be solely seen as Kai's sister or Jay's girlfriend. That's why I don't want to change the suit color to red. However, it would have been cute if Kai also wore blue when she wore red with her Gi.
