I think there's untapped potential or at least untapped funny with having Eliza Masters not really know/interact with Ryu. Having it be a jealous pseudo-romantic rivalry would get kinda annoying but it'd be a little funny at first if she realizes that she's envious of her husband's best friend(?) and it's a man who doesn't know what cable is and has been wearing nothing but karate gis for all the time you've known him and it's probably been the same one this whole time too?? Does that thing ever get washed?? i know its not like the disability olympics or whatever but as someone who was unable to function unless I was homeschooled my entire life because one attempted semester of highschool made me genuinely psychotic & unable to function in a group, its interesting how autism as a disorder has just been watered down to this commodified "consumerist" identity where people have deluded themselves into thinking theres something Wrong with them if literally all they do is have passionate interests but oh make sure you dont do anything Actually weird cuz thats "jobless / loser / etc" behavior . that + th whole sweep of th word "neurodivergent" which is a catch-all that means nothing in th grand scheme of things .

Listen homestuck is actually very good as long as you don't have the expectations if fandom tumblr clouding your judgement, it's an extremely stupid satire of teenage online behaviour in the 2010s delivered via an extremely stupid and complicated story made up of utterly random decisions chosen to fuel character conflict and shenanigans rather than be anything approaching a consistent story, my friend has been telling me all the lore about Minecraft streamers recently and I couldn't help but compare it to Homestuck because it's so absurdly similar in how convoluted and hard to follow it is, because it is a bunch of people playing a video game together and creating the "plot" through their interactions and what they want to do in the game. There are so many different perspectives to follow and each one will show you a different piece of the overarching story while also being a story in itself. Homestuck is absurdly similar, despite being a webcomic written by one person. Obviously with Homestuck it's hard to follow just one character's perspective and certain things are skipped over if nothing important is happening, but ultimately it's still just a bunch of teenagers playing a video game together with all of the chaos that involves. It still astounds me how well written the character interactions are, they're full of dumb bullshit and stupid jokes but also genuine conversations about identity and family and love and friendship and all the things that come along with that. All the things people talk about Homestuck being are in there, but if you go into it expecting it to start off that way or to not read thousands of pages of stupid jokes as well as that, you'll be disappointed.

i think everyone should have a moment of disillusion with a creator they really like. not because of anything really wrong they do but just. an interaction that doesn’t go the way you think it will, a response from them that you don’t understand. a moment where you want to communicate something to them and they don’t hear it. it’s good for the soul.

THEYRE clearly just weird, THEYRE wrong for exhibiting signs and symptoms of autism. their autism is WRONG and WEIRD and OFFPUTTING. YOURE autistic and YOU dont do that, so its clearly "not about autism".

Shen (Yuan) Qingqiu: an easy 10/10. You can’t tell your disciplesonwife that you wouldn’t abort him without becoming a milf.
