Why?

Why are the pokemon games becoming more and more of a clusterf*** as we proceed through gens?

I wouldn't go so far as to say THAT;; The last couple gens certainly have an abundant amount of flaws but there's a lot of replay value in them too. To this day I'm still mystified as to why people hated SwSh so much, I know some of the graphics were lackluster but? Honestly imo the actual towns and routes in SwSh are better designed than the ones in SV, especially when you're looking at Hammerlocke and Ballonlea. And the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs were a blast to play through if you decided to pay for them. SwSh's story was super lackluster but so far SV's storylines have knocked me flat on my ass with how good they are.

Pokemon has always been hit or miss, it really just depends on what aspect of the game you like the most that will determine how "good" it is in somebody's eyes. As for me, I love games that are more story driven, so yes I definitely prefer SV and SM over SwSh and XY, whose plots don't really fit my standards of being a well-written story arc. Some people just like games that are more fun, so they might prefer XY and Swsh for their mechanics over other games.

I definitely do think that SV was rushed, at least on the graphics front; they could have easily let it bake for another year and released a gorgeously rendered game, but we can't win at everything lol. And yeah, there's a good handful of designs in Gen 9 that could use some improvement, but there's a lot of designs that absolutely slap too.

The main issue now is that Nintendo and Gamefreak KNOW that Pokemon is the most popular franchise in the world. They're going to make money off of their games no matter how, or when or in what condition they release their games in. So obviously they're going to rush development at the cost of quality, and at the cost of their own employees, so that they can make bank every year with a game release. At least, that's what I think is the issue? When SV's release date was announced I know a lot of people said holy shit, THAT soon? It was definitely rushed. That's why there's so many lagging and rendering issues lol

But, my philosophy has always been this: You can thoroughly enjoy a piece of media and still criticize it for its flaws. SV may be buggy and glitchy as fuck but I've had an absolute blast playing through it. I already know I'll be starting a new file and replaying it sometime down the road. The problem now is letting Nintendo know that yes, we love Pokemon, we're going to play Pokemon no matter what, but at the very least we should get a say on how much work should be put into these games. (And, in SV's case, it was clearly not enough.)

Anyway sorry for the super long ramble lmao I clearly have some Thoughts about this. But idk. I'd rather be spending my energy enjoying myself and having a good time than being super negative and trashing on the game at any given chance. And yes I do have some criticisms but that's just how these things go

So... so far my thoughts on Help Wanted 2 are that yeah probably playing as Cassie's dad or the conspiracy guy from SB. I'm weirdly not too interested honestly? We seem to have maybe given Vanny some revenge in allowing her to kill Glitchtrap with Princess Quest 4, which is interesting. Interesting to know that's where the fourth game is too.

Moon and Mystic Hippo saying "what makes you so special?" is interesting too like??? Honestly? This feels like the player is the one that got away. Like we survived something, when no one else did, or we just chose this path despite no logical reason and no logical connection to anything at all. Maybe we're Luis here to save Vanessa? Maybe we're Cassie's dad trying to save her, and in doing so, leave nothing to prevent Cassie from joining us in the dark? Or conspiracy guy from SB that just knows something is wrong and has figured out that someone is trapped by the games, with this being their final attempts to do something about it?

Or perhaps, we're one of Mimic's (or Vanny's?) victims, the only one to get away in a massacre and have returned for one reason or another? That does happen twice in the books, so maybe that's applicable here too and we're the one that got away and sealed it away? Such as one of the construction workers for the Raceway that went down there and never came back? Maybe we're there, now trapped underground (since you can't go into the pizzeria in Ruin) hoping Cassie will save us or stop the Mimic?

Mystic Hippo also tells you to really look at our hands which is interesting. Maybe to remind us we're in VR or something? I dunno. Interesting though. There's all those little things like Roxy's plushie being in the dark in the bowling alley, Mystic Hippo asking when we are, all the Glitchtrap stuff happening, the lack of anything Mimic related, the Maskbot having rabbit ears and whatever else... It's all really interesting I guess. Maybe we're the spirits that possess Tangle, or Vanessa or someone, I dunno, maybe Jeremy? Beats me. This is thinking for another day.

Anyway

I fucking LOVE the DJ levels and the carousel. DJ's animations are gorgeously done, he looks amazing and so full of life and character, and the music is fun, he's just so cool. The carousel?? Fucking opens with Sunny complaining that if he was programmed to fix it, it'd be fixed by now lmao and then Moon is just coming at you while you get the three rows of characters moving again. Then suddenly it's on fire. And they added another fucking daycare attendant called Jack-O-Moon that looks dope as hell but I'd bet is making the tags even more inhospitable than before, so thanks for that Steel Wool lmao

I love that Chica is such a nuisance too. Like, they say they're looking into DJ's bugs but not Chica's. Nah you can handle her! She's just going to eat everything ever! Honestly, I'm convinced your job is less preparing food for customers and more preparing food as a Chica Distraction lmao. She's got a massive presence in the game. She's in every food prep stage, the last Fizzy Faz stage, the wild west Fazerblast game and the log flume ride, and she's a really big part of all of those too. This is Chica's game I guess??? Or perhaps this is to show us that Chica is an absolute menace to every staff member ever lmao good for her honestly

Roxy's game is eh. You need to keep watching her or she kills you and if you make too many mistakes she will also kill you which yeah that's fair. Why is her model so dirty though that's what I wanna know. Honestly, her intro speech, like a few others, all feel hugely reheresed like she's sick of saying it over and over which is neat. Foxy has the same thing going on and so does the carnival nurse (who I adore oh my god that happy "I QUIT MY JOB!" thrown in the middle I love it sfdsfsd) but what's interesting about it is the comparison. After the first introduction, Roxy loses that stilted way of talking. She sounds genuinely annoyed that you aren't paying attention to her, and of course in the Ruined version, she sounds in genuine distress the whole time. I dunno, I just think that's neat!

The fact you're using the parts of everyone else on her is interesting too. That's what Gregory did with Freddy, and now someone is doing it with her and she doesn't accept it at all. It just makes her more frustrated with us until she demands a mask. I suppose the thing here is that of course nothing is working for her. She can't see what she looks like and thus, has to go off of how these things are making her feel, and none of them are making her feel better, only worse. Cause of course it would! The other animatronic parts being stuck onto her face obviously aren't going to make her feel better. Her own snout isn't making her feel better because she just wants her god damn eyes back off that thieving kid and everything will be okay again... Hence why she gives up on this and goes back to trying to figure out where he's gone again. Interesting stuff on that one

And sddfsdd Freddy freezing himself in place in cold storage like a dumb. And the fact Circus Baby gives you ice cream and plays games with you like you're a friend and not killable? Interesting! Cool! Sunny being so bossy and stuck up about artwork and the carousel? Hilarious. I love it. Why's the carousel on fire though...

I believe there are still some gamemodes we don't have access to yet, so that's probably where Monty's at. Shame we don't see him at all here but I'm sure we'll see more of him soon.

WE GOT TO SEE MORE OF THE MINIS THOUGH!!!! I love them oh my god. Their model is all YIPPEEEE!!! and I love that for them. They just wanna make music with DJ too! It's so unfair!

CalcChain tells Excel in which order to carry out the calculations in the spreadsheet. It tells Excel something like "First solve the formula in cell A1, then the one in A2, then B1, etc." CalcChain is short for 'calculation chain'.

lately i have been going to my best friend's house after work (what an unimaginable sentence a month ago) and hanging out and watching whatever toddler shows are on tv while we shoot the shit and i knit. there's another half-repeat on the baby blanket for the baby who has just turned four months old, but it's in the car and the night is dark and full of mosquitoes.

i literally cannot do any life shit, even most doctor's appointments, until i have a real physical stable address so all i am really doing is knitting and playing genshi/n and opening and closing my email like the fridge. i have one security deposit back from the old mass apt plus one more paycheck (but, crucially, not the nearly $2k from the roach apt and we are rapidly approaching lawsuit time) so the cat and i are a little bit more stable/able to put down a security deposit on something else the minute it comes along. this would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of readers like you during that very bad first week here. thank you. i want to do some sort of thank you...stream? liveblog? series of posts about something? but i'm not sure what yet. stay tuned. tell me your thoughts. what would you like to see?

Not entirely ignores, but definitely doesn't get enough appreciation/attention in my opinion: JamieKeeley, Keeley & Phoebe's relationship, TedBeard (as a friendship but also I do like it as ship too if i pretend i can believe Ted is anything but straight lol), the scene where Beard forgives Nate (really one of the BEST season 3 scenes wholeheartedly and i never see anyone talking about it), Nate/Jade because I liked them, the way Sam & his Dad are continuously filmed as foils to Jamie & his Dad; the parallels between Jamie&James locker room scene and Sam&Ola locker room scene were gorgeously executed and filmed and the fact that it's a thread of continuity between all three seasons? chefs kiss and deserves all the appreciation ever <333

already answered, and nothing compares to Ted going back to Kansas. But also I'm tired about people talking about the roy&jamie fight scene in the finale. Totally get why people hate it! not my favorite thing ever but but im gonna talk about how i got into the pokemon tcg last year lmao. i collected the cards since i was like four, but my partner kit just got me into playing the game for the first time last year (it used to play back in the day). it’s SO much fun, kind of a lot to take in at first but pretty easy to grasp!

i have a few decks at the moment, the first i made is a tinkaton ex deck that im really proud of!! tinkaton ex has a move that does 30 damage for each card in your hand, so ive got a bunch of draw power in the deck. also fits gorgeously in place with one of the regular tinkatons that has an ability to let you discard a card to draw 3 more once a turn!! it’s a lot of fun and any time im showing my friends how to play i let them use that one cuz it’s pretty straightforward. big hammer go smash

i have another one i call sundogs that i don’t use all that much, i made it out of spare cards cuz me and kit were like ‘lets try and make decks out of the random (standard legal) cards we have and play with them’ and i liked this one! i still have to work on it a lil more to make it more formidable cuz it’s a bunch of single prizers (entei, arcanine, and chi yu are the big players in it) but it’s fun n_n

the newest one i made i call ice queen, it’s tsareena ex and vanilluxe from the paradox rift expansion. i had this baby cookin in the pot for MONTHS before the expansion released, it was my top secret plan. it’s what’s called a control deck, where u just. make it so the other guy can’t play lol. annoying to fight against once it’s set up! tsareena has a move called icicle sole that drops your opponents hp down to 30, and vanilluxe has an ability that makes it so your opponents pokemon with 40 hp or less can’t attack. the nice thing about icicle sole is you can use it on any of your opponents pokemon, not just the active one. still figuring out the nuances of this deck, it’s not finalized, but i love it n_n

i have a deck cooking in my brain currently too, called coin boys, and the gimmick is that every card (or as many as possible) in the deck requires a coin flip to use. it’s gonna be fuckin torture to play but it’s really funny so who cares

50) Wendell & Wild (Movie, 2022)

A lovingly crafted stop-motion animated movie with some good old kid-friendly horror vibes and a punky attitude, even starring a pretty nice transmasc character that I'm super happy to see. It's a nice story with a good visual style and a lot of heart, and I think Key and Peele being involved is pretty funny honestly. [4★]

51) Murder by Numbers (Switch, 2020)

Decent enough Picross game with a basic detective narrative stringing it together that I'm not really a huge fan of, but it does its job and I appreciate the adorable robot as well as some of its representation. And no idea how they got the composer from Ace Attorney and Ghost Trick, lmao [3★]

52) Pokémon Picross (GBC, Unreleased)

Yeah, this was better than the 3DS one, it's just basic Picross that doesn't do much (only real mechanic it adds is being able to change the music) but that's still better than the shitty mobile game model. They really should have just released this, it was straight-up finished and I even got a cart that works on original hardware because I think that's neat. [3.5★]

53) Paper Mario: The Origami King (Switch, 2020)

Going to be killed for playing this as my first Paper Mario but who cares, this game is cool in spite of its awkward battle system (which DOES kinda suck). Just a fun adventure with typical quirky writing and some surprisingly powerful moments, plus an excellent soundtrack, I'm sure some of the earlier games are better but I did play this one and did enjoy it. [4★]

54/55) Knives Out/Glass Onion (Movies, 2019/2022)

Incredible pair of detective movies, both full of really engaging writing and directing work that keeps you invested and never stops being entertaining to watch, surely still really good on a rewatch too. They also really fuckin' hate rich people, especially the second one which is woke as hell and has one of my favourite endings in anything, so that's what some might call "based". I can't wait to see what Rian Johnson does for the third Benoit Blanc movie, which is apparently meant to be a 2024 release. [5★]

56) Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW Comics, 2018-Present)

These are some damn enjoyable comics, telling some fun and generally quite well-written stories set after the events of Sonic Forces with a cast of really cool characters. Honestly kind of ride or die for Tangle and Whisper, but original villains like Dr Starline are great to read too. Early highlight is definitely the Metal Virus arc, but the more recent stuff with Surge was excellent too. Safe to say the team behind these stories know their shit. [4.5★]

57) Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Movie, 2023)

They really did it, they went out of their way to make a bigger and better sequel to one of the greatest animated movies I've seen, and it's very possible that they succeeded... but we won't know until the second part comes out, which looks unfortunately unlikely to be any time soon because production sucked. Still, what we did get is yet another gorgeously animated spectacle with a cool storyline, everyone knows that. [4.5★]

58) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Movie, 2023)

One of the only parts of the MCU that I cared about more or less concluded with this movie, and fuck it might be the best one in the trilogy. Rocket's harrowing backstory really hits out with that theme of some jerkass playing god, and the core adventure of the film is pretty engaging too, just as cool as ever. Plus it's now confirmed Vocaloid exists in the MCU lol [4.5★]

59) The Suicide Squad (Movie, 2021)

Another instance of James Gunn making an actual good superhero movie, this time making a good adaptation of something that previously had a bit of a shit one. I appreciate the kinda edgy nature of the titular squad that was handled solidly here, and their antics are honestly pretty funny. Fun action sequences too, and it's honestly really cool how much the movie thinks rats are awesome (they kind of are tbh). Peter Capaldi, the best version of Doctor Who, playing a mad scientist role is also just... really good. [4★]

60) Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (Movie, 2022)

Man fuck Disney, this is obviously the best version of the Pinocchio story and their attempt to overshadow it was lame as hell. I quite like the darker take on the story with themes of death and war around Italy's rise of fascism (Tom Kenny Mussolini is crazy btw), and of course the stop-motion animation is really quite excellent. Always love to see movies made in such a way. [4★]

61/62) Sonic and the Secret Rings/Black Knight (Games, 2007/2009)

Yeah, I get why the storybook duo of games have a bad reputation, because the motion control gimmicks kinda suck, but Secret Rings suffers from it far more than Black Knight, and that still has the cool ideas and solid writing combined with a great soundtrack (both games have this). Maybe the mission-based level structure isn't great, but there's some fun stuff to be found in these. Wish they were better though. [2.5★/3.5★]

You want my essay? You'll get my essay. So starting this off people tend to write Zhongli as someone who tends to be oblivious to mortal life, or someone who never has mora on his person. From what Ive seen they treat him like he's still an archon in the current timeline, and have no regard for the fact man's just trying to have a retirement and enjoy what he couldn't as an archon. NOT TO MENTION HIM BEING CONSTANTLY BROKE. (I can't remember if money has come up in the fic but good fuckin LORD I hate it when people use him being broke as a personality trait bc its??? so??? not??? That however is a rant for another time)

That's what I enjoy so much about when you write him because in the fic you write him mid transition between his more aggressive, and brutish personality as Morax while having him starting to become more responsible, and mellowed out as Zhongli. You take consideration of the fact he did a 180 on his personality overtime, but even though he is mellowed out you still have him take on aggressive moments when it violates the contracts he has made, i.e Abbess (fuck the abbess me and the homies hate the abbess), and the one he made with Li Lei for Reader's safety. He makes mistakes due to not truly being human, and he has learned from his mistakes which helps him grow as a person, and understand the common folk he watches over. which is a canon thing he does in the game. He has made mistakes on judgement, or does something that is typically not done in the modern age, and he sort of realizes it too which helps him blend in better. Yet you can still tell with he's not human in the fic too (which is actually canon alot of characters can tell there's something off abt him it's so funny)

Over the course of the fic you can see him grow as a person, and how he has slight changes after properly becoming the Archon of Liyue. He drops his more guarded, and composed self after the war is over, and he becomes a lot more free in how he acts. Reader tends to be one of the people he can act free, and not someone who is the god of Liyue which is so nice to see.

You also write him being half-dragon so gorgeously. This is just me fr being a Dragon nerd BUT people write him having western dragon traits such as being possessive, and aggressive. BUT HE'S BASED OFF EASTERN DRAGONS???? They're known for being proud, wise, and powerful creatures. They're respected bc of having a high intelligence unlike western dragons, and its so refreshing to see him written more similar to eastern dragons compared to everyone writing him with western personality traits. My dragon obsessed brain tips it hat to u.

You take so much into consideration, and you've actually taken the time to understand him in a way you can portray him as accurate as you can manage. And you keep nailing which the characterization honestly. Ive read a lot of stuff for this man, and you've been one of the few who actually manage to make him both a god, and yet seem completely human at the same time.

The money thing has come up a couple times, mainly in the beginning because everyone was like “hey he’s the god of wealth, you’ll at least live comfortably even if you’re not happy.” I focused more on the contract part of his lore because it’s an arranged marriage fic, so that’s a bigger focal point than him spawning coins.

One of my favourite parts about writing him and reader is that neither of them really know how to “act like people” but in complete opposite ways. Morax is not human, and because of his long lifespan he like, doesn’t have either the understanding of human customs or the full patience to learn. Reader grew up very sheltered and overthinks everything to the point where even mundane tasks can be nerve wracking. Still, they want to know how to act like people, Morax so he can better empathize/interact with his wife, and reader so they don’t feel like they have to rely on him.

Also, the dragon thing: it’s not even just an eastern vs western dragon thing, it’s that I highly doubt his brain goes just full animal brain when he’s not in a humanoid form. That’s still Morax in there, and maybe certain traits come out more depending on his form/mindstate, but he’s literally a conscious thinking creature with thoughts and feelings and opiniond. That doesn’t just go away!

first off, i wish there was a bi and straight term as well, they're not 100% the same as e.g. pretty boys or femboys — those categories are even more particular to a certain femdom aesthetic. pretty boys are defined by face, femboys by clothes hair and body, twinks by both.

my suggestion for a word would be "prince". it's positive, people get the gist intuitively, and it's derived from the groundbreaking artist who invented this whole game to the fullest after greek culture laid the foundation, shoutout to apollo. before leo (90s) zac efron (00s) and taemin (10s) paved the way, there was prince in crop tops, heavy makeup, heels, and poses few guys dared.

so, a prince, they're usually the anti-jock/bear, right. more petite in frame, often fashionable like an it-boy (see lucky blue smith), frequently gnc, and found in a 20-30 age group with some exceptions. but i think that's why they are appealing to us, it's a generation thing. just like t. chalamet, lil nas x, and troye sivan hit it big among gen z by sheer exposure, or the eboy/softboy fad in hetero media, although that one wasn't really femdom in spirit and just another brand of manipulative nice guy syndrome.

princes don't come across as physically imposing, they're more tongue in cheek and seductive or cute, the link to your zelda. that caters to somebody with a taste for subs/bottoms who'd rather have them sat on their lap than getting choked out by them which is almost treated as a given, same with spanking or rough sex. so, that notion of twinks has opened the door to something less compulsive gladly.

a prince can come with an edge, twinks and brats may have some overlaps depending on the guy, but at the end of the day, they're subs, both hard and soft. jonghyun has set quite the tone for it artistically, major credit due. he's broken the mold to say that it's so boring and restrictive to be a dominant guy and there's more out there than what the societal landscape offers.

where binaries, monosexuality and hypermasculine/homophobic/biphobic conduct is exaggerated, you won't find a twink able to do their thing or getting attention. sure, gnc people are always there and the world is slowly catching up in some places, although it feels like we're going ten steps backwards as a backlash these days which is unacceptable. that's why k-pop is such a refreshing element in the way that male performers present concepts and a female pov is embraced. nobody deems it punishable or strange if you walk up like this, in fact it's celebrated.

it also bursts the bubble of twink/prince = white and goes even further than just one specific aesthetic. it changes constantly and incorporates actual elements of kink culture rather than leaving men's submission unspoken as an ultimate taboo. it may be commercial, but it is also literal and encourages nonconforming styles and body types as the rise of shinee, skz, or nct exemplifies. the next generation prince/twink trailblazer is sure to be found there, my bet is on taeyong or felix, they're really owning the princeliness.

so 'take it as a compliment' was only ever going to end one way, i.e. with some variation on a very sappy happy ending. that said, i did consider ending it on a kind of outside pov epilogue. i decided against it in the end, but i do still have several thousand words of tk trying to figure out why sid no longer refs their games while claude trolls him relentlessly. i might post it as a follow-up some day but for now a small section--

They've got a red-eye back to Philadelphia, and he's still banned from the card table for "cheating" so it's not like he's got anything better to do. He pays the extortionate $20 for in-flight wi-fi and settles in for some research.

Sidney Crosby is still alive and still an active NHL officiator, which means Travis can rule out a few of his more wild theories. He didn't actually think Claude would hire an assassin or something, but if there was anyone who would, G's got the exact right kind of don't-give-a-shit energy.

Travis isn't wrong, though. A bit of time on the NHLOA website shows that Crosby hasn't officiated a Flyers game since the previous season. Given that he's based in Pittsburgh, it's unusual.

Reddit agrees with him. Or at least, a few Redditors in a random thread from last month have made the same observation. Weird, they call it. Travis reads through a few of their explanations with mild interest.

It's Gritty. suggests an account named JD1812, which Travis thinks is unlikely. It had taken him a few years of snooping, but he did once catch sight of the guy in the Gritty suit taking a smoke break. He's definitely just a balding dude, not, like, some eldritch monster.

Possibly a personal conflict of interest. If he started dating a player's sister or something they wouldn't let him ref those games, suggests another account. It's such a hilariously bizarre idea that TK has to laugh. He can't even begin to imagine anyone dating humourless, sour-faced Sidney Crosby.

There are a few more proposals. Reddit user TrueNorthStrong69 thinks that Crosby was taken off for bias, but that's also laughable; the NHL's never taken a ref off for being biased in its whole hundred-year history, it's not going to start by taking pity on the Flyers.

👀 what’s a fic written by someone else that you REALLY wish you wrote yourself?

hmmm i don't tend to think of fic as something i wish i wrote because if i did write it, it'd probably be very different. let's see...

i stumbled across confidence man by blaahaj recently which completely blew me away. i have a long fawning comment in my drafts that i need to actually post - the author has such a knack for nuanced, interesting but still very hockey-bro characterisation; it's gorgeously written; and the romantic italian (lmao) setting is catnip to me. the reason i mention it though is that the premise is genius, and as someone who's been playing around forever with a million different variations on a sports media guy/player au, i was very struck by how perfectly the author slotted the lead (in this case m tkachuk) into his sports media au role. it's hard to get aus right like that, but when you do mwah it can make for such a fab twist on the established character dynamic.

really though there are so many fics and authors i could mention here. this is such a fantastically talented fandom and i so often read a fic and come away thinking 'oh wow the writer did x so well, i really want to try that out myself.'

💋do you have any guilty pleasure ships that you really want to write for but are scared to?

not really! i don't think i've ever felt particularly guilty about liking a ship. there are a ton of ships i'd like to write for at some point in the future, but really the main hindrance to my writing is just time 😭

Music Rambles: the drakeNieR series ost

I'm not even kidding I would have never given this game a chance if it weren't for the ost

even though i was complete ass at art I used to stream art a lot when i was around 15 and I can't really remember what I was talking about in the chat or who I was talking to in particular (AND TO THIS DAY I STILL REALLY WISH I KNEW WHO IT WAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHO YOU ARE) but somebody suggested I play the nier series.

again I was 15 and obviously carrying zero paper, so I still recall only just watching gameplay videos at first. Having never encountered such a unique type of storytelling and being easily worn out by older games at the time I was already seconds from dropping the game just from the beginning.

It was entirely the music that captivated me more than anything. I was so taken aback by how unique the vocals are and the gorgeousness of the orchestra i had to keep going. It was song of the ancients that kept me on. I was so curious about the completely unorthodox language of the vocals i kept moving on with the game to hear more.

I love the nier ost so much because it really goes to show lyrics seriously dosent matter when it comes to music. if it sounds good; it sounds good and i sincerely think people should stop pretending understanding the language or lyrics matters.

This soundtrack is exceedingly special to me as well for the fact it transcends understanding. it dosent even matter if you know the context, the music is so masterfully composed you know what emotion it vividly illustrates nonetheless. case in point; my mom often witnesses me stream it and constantly asks me "why are you listening to such sad music all the time"

This is probably a given sidenote, but I absolutely hated the soundtrack for the first Drakengard game. It actually feels like my head is repeatidly being struck with an iron pipe. They had to replace the composer for a reason, the reception for the first game was so bad because of the music they had to make sure the soundtrack was good in the new games.

Anyways, I absolutely love Keiichi Okabe and all the vocalists. But of course especially Emi Evans. Clearly a vessel of god with a voice like that; to me I think she's too good for this buisness to be honest lmao.

The Demon King - Cinda Williams Chima I'll keep it real with you, I haven't read this one since the series finished in 2012 so I don't actually remember loads of it. But I remember loving it when I did read it, and it does have the Princess - Street Kid pairing which is such a fun trope when you do it right

The Chronicles of Narnia - CS Lewis I don't reread books in the way my younger self used to do, but these were on a steady cycle as I grew up

The older I get the harder it is to pick favourite anythings, let's be real. But reading The Star-Touched Queen - Roshani Chokshi got me out of a reading slump as easy as flipping a switch and altered my brain chemistry for weeks, so it is certainly up there. Who doesn't love an epic romance with Death with the most gorgeous language ever?

The Dark Days Club - Alison Goodman is just so juicy with the regency setting and demon slaying in high society and I read the whole series in a manic week lol

How will you recognize them?

Great energy coming from them. You gonna recognize them by their nerdy appearance or someone who totally appeared as keen. It may be that their accent or voice may come a little bit weird, sharp, melodic, low and rough. This might be a confirmation too that they maybe someone who is not sharing the same culture as you. Otherwise, they're not afraid to voice out their emotions and ethical and well firm opinions to the public. They're hardworking but the negative of this is that they've gone too much on work which this is the only thing that may focus is working. It maybe because they have bigger plans for their future, they may want to give a refreshing life for their future family. They're family oriented individual, he gonna plan precisely the future of their family. They doesn't want to feel embarrassed in front their partner for not being able to give what they need too fulfill as a spouse.
