Through a series of miscommunication, the League is now under the impression that Batman, strange cryptid that he is, may or may not have given birth to the other vigilantes running around in Gotham. This was not helped by Bruce referring to all of his children, no matter how big they get, as his babies. Nor was it helped by Red Robin, in the middle of a narcolepsy-fueled imminent crash, mentioned how he had no mother. 

It also doesn’t help that no one is aware that they are in fact completely normal people, and not aspects of Gotham itself brought to life. Though really that’s on the bats themselves, because at this point they should at least count as undead.

Had the thought/realization that regardless of if the Dream Master approved or disapproved of Sunday pursuing you, Sunday would still choose not to.

There are just too many factors that prevent him from doing so. A lack of time, for one. Sunday’s duties keep him on his toes constantly; he can’t find a moment of rest even in his sleep. He foresees his negligence of your relationship, and though unintentional, it still wouldn’t be fair to you.

His status as Oak Family Head would be another problem. How would you fare under the overbearing pressures that come with being his lover? Penacony is a planet of lights, glamour, and gossip. All eyes will be on you as soon as your relationship is publicized. You will be held at standards far higher than ever before, and the other Family Heads will be expecting nothing less. Sunday couldn’t possibly bring himself to burden you with all of this.

And of course, there’s his grand plan for Penacony.

I think that he’s been anticipating his sacrifice for a loooong time. Sunday acknowledges that he’ll be hurting you by leaving, and if you were in a relationship, then he would be hurting you even more.

You will be furious with him, surely. You’ve always chastised him for his self-destructive work habits.

But the image of you eternally safe and sound within Ena’s dream is enough to lay any rueful feelings to rest. He hopes that one day you’ll find it within yourself to forgive him.

as much as i enjoy the more wholesome fantasy high parents like jawbone and sklonda and the thistlesprings there’s something so compelling and achingly real about bill seacaster that makes him my favorite. he and fabian have a relationship that is so deeply unhealthy and entrenched in distorted ways of viewing other people and parenthood and the world, and yet is so fiercely and undeniably loving. like, is bill seacaster a good dad? what does being a good dad even mean for someone like bill? bill seacaster has such unrealistic and toxic expectations of fabian and a myopic, entirely self-centered way of relating to him for most of his life, and yet, you truly get the sense that even if fabian disappoints him again and again and never steps out of his shadow and never becomes the man bill wants him to be, bill will never love him any less than completely and unconditionally. bill seacaster is a man who has built his entire life and sense of identity around doing whatever he wants and never facing consequences and never thinking about anyone else. bill seacaster becomes disappointed in his son. and he finds the idea of that so unacceptable that, instead of demanding that fabian meet his expectations, bill loves him so much that he reconsiders his entire concept of himself and the purpose of his life, and he grows. a man whose legacy and identity was based around selfishness and narcissism and unwillingness to bend, and fabian makes him change.

bucky’s favorite way of thanking tony for literally anything is kissing him on his cheeks.

a little tune up for his arm? he kisses tony’s cheek when they’re done. tony pours an extra cup of coffee just for bucky? a little peck, right there on tony’s cheek. a villain tries to sneak up behind bucky and tony flies in and repulsor blasts them away? a loud smooch right on iron man’s faceplate where tony’s cheek rests just underneath. they get home from their first date and are both reluctant to say goodnight? a shy, gentle press of bucky’s lips to tony’s cheek, a touch closer to the corner of his mouth than usual.

and every time, every single time, tony’s cheeks heat up from the sheer pleasure of such a simple touch. bucky feels the blush under his lips and smiles against tony’s skin, completely delighted he gets this reaction out of him.

season 5 of white collar is very pleasing to me because i love conman neal caffrey but it really makes me dislike peter. he tells every criminal he comes across that all they’ll ever be is a criminal, but also tells neal that he corrupted the system by getting him out of prison on a bribe but was your system ever really working if you keep putting people through it to punish them for their crimes but then also don’t think they’ll ever change? he’s lowkey turned into kramer this season

scully whispering “oh my god” in paper hearts when roche tells mulder that he just wants to see his face when he finds samantha’s body is one of the most affective small moments of the series. scully so rarely lets anything slip, so rarely speaks from a place of emotion rather than rationality, so rarely doesn’t have her words carefully chosen when she does.

but it’s just SO CRUEL!!! it’s just so cruel. and all mulder can do is sit there silently. it’s scully that jumps up and screams. i love the way she goes over to the door and just opens it and stands there, waits firmly for mulder to quietly follow her. she just gets him out of there without directing a single word towards him.

idk if its just because im a super emotional & sentimental person , but i really rly rly (many rlys later) enjoyed the use of the plant memory feathers or whatever they were called at the end of the series .. smth soo special about highlighting the power of empathy through a shared collective of anger , grief , despair, wonder , love , joy , etc … T_T .. the way everyone feels that burgeoning desire to want to be better , do better , and cultivate a community of love and peace . _AUGGGH !!!! !!!

idk how to fully describe it in the way that i wish i could , but you know that scene shortly after where a doctor connects w a visibly distressed plant to try and communicate his plan to heal her in whichever way possible , thanking her for all she’s provided and vowing to do what he can so they can begin to coexist .. T__T its just soo sweet .. or people finally seeing vash for who he is and what he represents . having direct insight into his heart and , for the first time ever , wanting the best for him. “i see.. you all know him as well .. that young man , with the gentle smile.” lkterally kill me .please please plea
