ok, but imagine a post/mid-credits scene:

We see a dark door to Bucky's apartment from the inside, then hear rattling. Bucky opens the door while on the phone with Sam, ranting about what happened during the movie.

Then, he notices that there's faint light in one of his rooms, abruptly stopping the conversation and saying he'll call back. He cauciously walks up to the room as silently as he can, pulling out some kind of weapon in the meantime. He takes a steading breath and walks in.

Near a lightstand sits a man, one Bucky knows all too well, reading one of his books, his coat folded nearby. He doesn't look at Bucky but acknowledges him, greeting him.

Then he starts to talk.

He talks about power, how it corrupts absolutely. He talks about irony, how somones impulsive want can become their only purpose, the thing that was supposed to kill them the only value keeping them alive. He talks about a mission he was sent for, how it obviously is something he wasn't supposed to return from alive. He says that they can call it paying back for his help from last time, to make them even.

Bucky only raises his eyebrow, visibly unimpressed that so little info was supposed to convince him to do anything, especially for him. He asks for more details.

The man looks at him for a moment in silence, then closes the book he was reading.

"Say James," says Zemo, tilting his head, "What do you know about Latveria?"

Day 5 : genderbend

Only doing this did I realize just how androgynous both of their features are. Listen we got gal pals with Marcille getting carried away and oblivious & overtly touchy feely as always, gay rivalry but they still gossip together like true coworkers united in haterism (I was going to draw Marcille holding him at first but forgot lmao), and Chilchuck openly holding back murderous intent. In short nothing changes much but it’s fun to picture. Braiding hair is already a love language of theirs, if she could do it to him it’d slap…

My genderbent names for them are Marcel & Cherchick (Chick is apparently an actual name, a diminutive of Charles?? Incredible and very convenient. Goal of the lockpicking onomatopoeia still being there success) I have a whole marchil AU plotline for them genderbent actually... It’ll be long so I’ll put it in a reblog addition from my sideblog

anyone else hate the way that physical books are treated like sacred objects

look at me. you’re allowed to exist and have a physical impact on things and leave a mark on the world in whatever way that looks like

#like i know some people love to treat them as symbols of intellectual superiority but also has an element of ocd to it im not gonna lie #it’s ok if you write in a book or dog ear the pages or show signs that you existed to read it #feel like most people dont even examine why they feel this way but every so often ill see an argument about preservation #as someone who (very briefly) studied old books in college and would love the opportunity to one day do more #the books with marginalia. the ones that had been re-bound. the ones that had been lived in and ‘abused’#were SO much more characterful and interesting #but also i promise you no one will give a shit that there’s another pristine copy of a second third fourth printing of percy jackson #and i get it. sometimes you’re just getting a book for class and you’ll need to sell it back afterward and you want to keep it in good con #that’s fine. i appreciate that. i feel like most of the books i got for school were on the fair to poor scale #my mom is one of those people who is afraid to use anything in case it looks used and she can’t resell it and i’m like.then what’s the point #she sent me a video of someone re-binding a book and went ‘i could see you doing that if you had a second copy!!’ why #if something moved me enough to want to celebrate it by personalizing it. why do i need to also have a pristine version #this way of treating books just feels so performative and exhausting yknow #idk #mine

big godzilla fan but i will never in my life interact with the fandom based on what i've seen on here

#firstly i hate all godzilla ships even mothra/godzilla #just because she's queen of the monsters and he's king of the monsters doesn't mean shit #second i hate those comics that portray the characters as silly and stuff #i especially hate how minus one is always portrayed as a baby because he isn't massive in his first appearance #or giving godzilla earth glasses or making him the 'group' grandpa #or just anything that gives them dialog really #i generally just hate blorbofication #third i absolutely hate king kong and i feel like legendary has really been pushing godzilla and kong being two sides of the same coin #and like generally the only actually good legendary godzilla movie is king of the monsters 2019 #2014 is boring because it's carried by an unlikable and boring cast #godzilla vs kong was just pretty alright #and godzilla x kong was a scaling nightmare with forgettable monsters thrown in as well #and they both fought sea serpents #and godzilla's was still more interesting!!#i have my gripes but i'll save them for when i review them #what am i taking about again

i think that a lot of people who primarily interact with politics online and/or in relatively small aggressively progressive spaces do not realize how many honest to god moderates there are

and yeah, the politician running for a national office isn't as progressive as you want. but they are not just trying to appeal to you. they are also trying to appeal to your grandmother, who would rather die than vote for a self proclaimed socialist, even if she agrees with their policies in theory

and the thing is, your grandmother and her peers are more likely to vote. even if they don't love the candidate, even if the candidate isn't in the party they usually vote for. they show up. you openly state that you won't vote pragmatically, won't for anyone less than perfect, won't vote for anyone with a less than perfect record.

why should that candidate try to appeal to you?

politicians who hold national offices often have to reach across the aisle and find a solution that is far less than perfect but will do something. someone who won't budge on any issue will not get anything done. which will further the narrative that their party cannot get anything done.

progress is slow and painful and often starts with not letting things get worse

#the truth is that gaza is not the biggest issue for most voters. and a significant percentage of americans are pro isreal #if you want to be able to vote in any future election you need to vote in this one #if you want to be able to protest the government you need to vote in this election #and no. third parties are not viable on the national scale. get your head out of your ass #us politics #politics

this country is a joke for countless reasons but what do you mean i just won’t be getting my medication (that ive already been taking for months) until my insurance decides they want to press a button in a few weeks. Cool. set tge world on fire <3

#1) request refill at pharmacy 2) request refill again because it didnt get filled 3) get told i should contact doctors office4) i do that #5) i need ‘prior authorization’ (bullshit that translates to ‘your insurance wants to make you suffer for profit’)#6) check back with doctors office. they say yeah we sent that request to insurance 7) pharmacy says we still dont have it 8) doctor says #THAT IT WILL TAKE A FEW *WEEKS. * W E E K S. As in multiple weeks. MULTIPLE WEEKS.#WHEN I HAVE BEEN OUT OF THOS MEDICATION FOR A MONTH ALREADY DOING THIS BULLSHIT WHERE I CONTACT TWO DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONS SO THAT THEY CAN #CONTACT A THIRD WHO DOESNT CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO ME #all the while my doctors office is like hey have you found a psych yet? NO I HAVENT. JOAQUIN COBALT (THE UNTITLEDVERSE)

This feels accurate for Joaquin considering he begins The UnTitledverse as an adolescent, and the series follows his growth and youth to adulthood. Joaquin has the weight of the world (or rather multiverse) on him, but, he still has time to be a child, to be a teen, to be his own identity, with Maisie, Mario, Calvin and all his found family and friends to share the weight.

SILVA OMAR (THE SILVER CHRONICLES [FAR CRY 5 & FAR CRY NEW DAWN])

Religious themes (including the trauma) for Silva go brrr! Like what else is there to say?

HAOYU ANABUKI (LIFE, DESPAIR & MONSTERS)

Yeah this makes sense for them. Haoyu is someone who's not used to love and when it comes it is gonna be the most life-changing thing for them. For once something they will have to make a commitment towards keeping if they want it. Haoyu is also the type to go in a panic as well as overthink; including full-on denial.

MARISSA "RESS" BISHOP (A RADIOACTIVE CALAMITY OF LOVE, BOMBS & GORE [FALLOUT])

While this definitely suits Ress at her best, I don't think it encapsulates everything about her. Because while Ress' love is bountiful and ageless and endless... there's also the fear of losing it all, because Ress will outlive everyone she knows because her own natural mortality outlasts everyone else's. The only person that would be around the longest with her (and meet her at what would be considered old age for a hybrid species like them) would have been her older half-brother, Ore... but even that is cruelly taken away from her by their father Urias and his Occult. Yeah, so while this definitely does shine a light on the happiness and thrill Ress would feel with her lover (prime example being Piper), it doesn't acknowledge the grief she'd eventually have to face.
